Obama supported company gets U.S. Loan and builds cars…. In Finland

This ought to be a lesson to every last Democrat who voted for Obama and Biden.

The Video:

The Story:

With the approval of the Obama administration, an electric car company that received a $529 million federal government loan guarantee is assembling its first line of cars in Finland, saying it could not find a facility in the United States capable of doing the work.

Vice President Joseph Biden heralded the Energy Department’s $529 million loan to the start-up electric car company called Fisker as a bright new path to thousands of American manufacturing jobs. But two years after the loan was announced, the job of assembling the flashy electric Fisker Karma sports car has been outsourced to Finland.

“There was no contract manufacturer in the U.S. that could actually produce our vehicle,” the car company’s founder and namesake told ABC News. “They don’t exist here.”

Henrik Fisker said the U.S. money so far has been spent on engineering and design work that stayed in the U.S., not on the 500 manufacturing jobs that went to a rural Finnish firm, Valmet Automotive.

“We’re not in the business of failing; we’re in the business of winning. So we make the right decision for the business,” Fisker said. “That’s why we went to Finland.”

Here is the real-world translation to that last line in that story; we did not want to have to deal with the labor unions in this United States, so we moved our manufacturing overseas.

Take note my Democratic Party friends who happen to read this blog, all two of you.  This is what happens to the Democrats and their union counterparts, when they elect internationalist Democrats, who really do not give a care about what happens to American workers.  Internationalist Democrats and their Republican counterparts, the globalists — like Richard Nixon, who do not care about American workers, they are corporatists, who support crony capitalism.

This right here is a perfect example of why the relations between the Democratic Party and the labor unions are frosty at best.  That is because the Democratic Party for the last few instances that they have won elections, have been putting internationalist Democrats into the White House.  This type of a Democrat talks a nice game, and puts out platitudes to the American autoworkers and their representatives in the unions; but when the “Rubber hits the road” so to speak, things change.  They begin showing their true colors and start doing things to kick dirt in the face of the American worker.

I do not write this as a Conservative mocking the left, goodness no.  I write this as someone who has a father, who is a retired General Motors worker, who is a member of the UAW.  If anyone would know how the Democratic Party has treated the American autoworker in the last 30 years, it would be me.  There was a time in this Country, when the Democratic Party used to respect the American autoworker and would literally step in front a train to defend them.  Sadly, that time has passed, as the unions have lost their influence amongst the Democratic Party.

The loss of that influence in the Democratic Party is partially due to the actions of the internationalist Democrats, like Bill Clinton, who signed into law NAFTA and TAFTA.  Some of that loss of influence is also due to the declining membership roles within the UAW and other said unions.  Either way, it is sad transition in America, when our politicians in Washington D.C. put interests abroad before interests here at home.

Some of my readers, all three of you, might be shocked to see that I do not take a more mocking tone on stories like this and here is why I do not; Pat Buchanan said it best once, on one issue that I actually agree with him on — the American worker.  Pat once said, “As goes Detroit, goes the Nation,” and you know what?  Pat Buchanan is right about that, the United States of America used to be a manufacturing marvel.  We produced everything ourselves, and other Countries used to come here to see how we did it all.  Sadly, those times have come and gone, due to many reasons, a list of which is longer than the length of this blog entry will permit.

What is solution you ask, I know what it is; but most of the people who will come here to read, will not agree with it.  However, I will give the solution.  Firstly, the solution is NOT to bust up the unions, as they have as much right to proper representation, as the company owners have a right to make a profit.  The solution to the problem is to get rid of these idiotic so-called “Free Trade” agreements.  Secondly, the solution is to impose strict tariffs on EVERYTHING and I do mean everything that is manufactured overseas and imported into our Country.

These actions would do a couple of things; firstly it would protect the American workers from the globalists who want to undercut the American worker to make a quick dollar on the backs of cheap sweatshop labor in foreign countries like China.  Secondly, it would solve our Nation’s revenue problem by creating a reliable source of income; one of which we did have in this Country for a very long time, before the globalists ripped it out, in favor of trade agreements.

Further, the solution is in whom we elect; Republicans and Democrats alike need to elect those who put America’s interests first, and not the interests who those abroad.  To be fair, Republicans have done this too in this past and we as Americans need to watch what these new crop of Republicans really represent; do they represent the interests of the crony capitalists or do they have the American people’s interests in mind?  Supposedly, the Tea Party movement brought some of this “America First” type of populism to the Conservative movement, but as of late, it seems that the Tea Party was nothing more than a passing fad.  I just hope the people, who went to these protests, use the principles that were promoted at the Tea Party rallies, at the ballot box come November 2012.

BlogAds.com is a steaming pile…of hypocrisy

I really hate having to compose posts like this, but when I see rank hypocrisy coming from somewhere, I have to speak out about it.  It appears that good old BlogAds.com has finally gotten a good dose of its own medicine.  As some of you might recall, I was unceremoniously dumped by BlogAds.com a good long while back, because I dared to gripe and complain about a ridiculously slow server that controlled the editing of my ads on my site.  One night, after being fed up with their idiotic slow server; I in some very colorful language, told them that their server was too slow and asked them to fix it.  I posted it on their facebook page, which of course made them look like rank buffoons.  For this I was dropped; there we no second chance, there was no, “Hey, can we talk about this on the phone?”  None of that, just a tersely worded e-mailed that said, “Were not selling you anymore” and that was the end.

So, to the people at BlogAds.com —-hey, how does it feel to get the door slammed in your face?  To be honest, it could not have happened to some better people, if you ask me.  Maybe this will make the reconsider their rather rude way of dealing with me.  I admit that my site does not have the hits that some of the other bigger political blogs might have, but that does not excuse the way I was treated, because it was THEIR product, that caused the problem in the first place.  I do realize that these guys are not obligated to give anyone access to their service, but I believe that their “blogger relations” person has a lot to learn when dealing with the public and people like me, who make a living at their writings.

So, again, to people at BlogAds.com —- How does it feel?

Another thing too; to put a bit of politics into this, BlogAds.com has what are called Liberal and Conservative “Ad Hives,” and the liberal hive is like twice the size of the Conservative Hive. What does that tell you? Who do you think they really promote? You have two guesses and the first one does not count. What does it say when Perez Hilton, a morally degenerate liberal gets more promotion on that Advertising Company’s website —- than say, Ann Althouse? I am just saying, you are what you promote and in BlogAds.com’s case, it is not a pro-American, Conservative business.

Should Conservative Governors swear off Corporatism?

Alex Cortes makes a good case for it.

While most of the Republican presidential candidates have criticized President Obama about his waste of taxpayer money on the politically connected and now bankrupt energy company Solyndra, Rick Perry has remained silent. Why? Perhaps because he may soon have his very own Solyndra.

As governor, Perry created the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, which has doled out, at his discretion, nearly $200 million to 133 businesses. More than $16 million from the fund has gone to firms with officers or investors who were major Perry contributors.

One such firm is Convergen, which has developed a lung-cancer treatment that is under Phase II clinical trial. The company was successful in getting Texas taxpayers to put up $4.5 million through Perry’s fund, despite founder David Nance’s investing a measly $1,000. Did Nance’s $335,000 to Perry’s campaigns, association fundraisers, and TexasOne Foundation have anything to do with it?

It likely did, given that Convergen’s proposal failed the regional review process meant to extricate political influence — and was later approved by a state advisory panel that Nance formerly sat on. The amount awarded also happened to be highest amount ever from the fund. Perry and his team know that Convergen may soon look a lot like Solyndra, since only 33 percent of successful Phase II drugs make it to the market.

But this is not an assault on Governor Perry in particular: He is far from alone among his Republican gubernatorial colleagues in advancing corporatist policies.

For example, Virginia governor Bob McDonnell, who’s been mentioned as a potential vice presidential running mate for Perry, has also fallen to corporatism in a variety of ways. McDonnell succeeded in getting his state’s general assembly to increase funding for the Governor’s Opportunity Fund, a $54 million pot from which he can give grants to corporations that create jobs in the commonwealth. He has also created special tax incentives for the wine and film industries and provided the International Speedway Corporation a $1.5 million grant to keep one of its NASCAR races in the state.

via Conservatives and Corporatism – Alex Cortes – National Review Online.

I see his point; the Republicans and Conservatives are going ballyhoo Obama for his green energy debacle, they should be prepared to answer for some of their own misdeeds. Contrary to what some of the Bloggers on the right like to print, corruption and political favors are common on both sides. This needs to end, the era of backroom deals and favors, in this day of so-called transparency needs to end.

In other words; if we are going to point the accusing finger at the other side, we should clean the trash up in our own backyards.

UPDATE: My submission for #Iamthe53 – Site ran by Slander Blogger Erick Erickson

I saw this news item here; and went to the site to put in a submission. I doubt the owner will approve it. But, it was worth a shot.

Here is the submission:

My name is Charles Patrick Adkins and I am 39 years old.  I am from Lincoln Park, Michigan.  I am a full-time blogger.  I started back in 2006, as a “half hearted” left of center blogger and writer.  I was totally anti-Bush and Anti-Iraq war.  As I continued to blog, I began to see what the Democratic Party had become; which is much different from the Democratic Party of the FDR or even LBJ or JFK era.

On December 22, 2006, my blog was hacked and I lost it all.  I had over a year’s worth of writing on that blog.  I could have quit and I really thought about doing just that; but I did not.  By the time this happened, I had decided that the Democratic Party was no the party that I wished to associated with as a supporter.  So, a few days later, on December 28, 2006; I started Political Byline on Blogger. All I had was an older computer and quite a bit of time on my hands.  For three solid years, I wrote for next to nothing; luckily, I live with my folks, so I had some support.  However, I was doing what I loved.

My political beliefs have changed a good deal.  The occupy Wall Street demonstration stupidity is a perfect example of why I no longer vote Democratic Party.  Not because I am some kind of a racist, or even rich person —-heck, I do not have any capital invested in my blog at all.  However, I do blog to defend the business people.  The main issue with the Democratic Party and their friends occupying Wall Street is that they fault financial success and I am sorry to say is just morally wrong.  Tell me, since when is being a success at what you do — whether it be financial, personal or whatever —- a crime?

To be honest, I do not even have a business license yet, I just do not make enough to file tax reports.  I would like to be able to do that; but, one-step at a time.  I have made enough to reward myself with the occasional steak on the grill.  However, with me; it is all about doing what I love to do and that is write and express my feelings, without fear of going to jail — that my friends is beauty of America.  The way I see it is this, if I happen to start making enough to form a corporation and file taxes, all the better for me!

Again, as I have said on my blog, many times; for me, it is not about “Left or Right” it is about right or wrong —- and the Democratic Party and their Occupy Wall Street friends are simply wrong, as is their leader President Barack Obama, this is why his polices have failed for the last three and a half years.  This is also, why he most likely will not be reelected in 2012.

Thanks for reading!

Ford caves to White House demand to pull ad ripping on tarp bailouts

This is unreal:

For the only Detroit automaker that “didn’t take the money” of the federal auto bailouts, Ford Motor Co. keeps paying a price for its comparative success and self-reliant turnaround.

There’s no help from American taxpayers to help lighten its debt load, giving crosstown rivals comparatively better credit ratings and a financial edge Ford is working diligently to erase all on its own.

There’s no clause barring a strike by hourly workers amid this fall’s national contract talks with the United Auto Workers — a by-product of the taxpayer-financed bailout that General Motors Co. and Chrysler Group LLC retain until 2015.

And there’s no assurance the Dearborn automaker can use the commercially advantageous fact that it didn’t “take the money” proffered by the Obama Treasury Department and use it in TV ads angling to sell cars and trucks. Not if the campaign takes a whack at its Detroit rivals and suggests that Ford no longer supports the Obama administration bailouts it backed in public statements and sworn congressional testimony.

As part of a campaign featuring “real people” explaining their decision to buy the Blue Oval, a guy named “Chris” says he “wasn’t going to buy another car that was bailed out by our government,” according the text of the ad, launched in early September.

“I was going to buy from a manufacturer that’s standing on their own: win, lose, or draw. That’s what America is about is taking the chance to succeed and understanding when you fail that you gotta’ pick yourself up and go back to work.”

That’s what some of America is about, evidently. Because Ford pulled the ad after individuals inside the White House questioned whether the copy was publicly denigrating the controversial bailout policy CEO Alan Mulally repeatedly supported in the dark days of late 2008, in early ’09 and again when the ad flap arose. And more.

via Columnists | Ford pulls its ad on bailouts | The Detroit News.

I would and could carp on about this one; but I will simply say this — this here, my friends, is why you do not elect totalitarian Presidential Administrations who are not too fond of criticism.    I know Bush did it too; to a point, but not nearly as bad as this bunch in the White House. This President is much worse. Further more, Bush’s issue was with the liberal media and never, ever with private business.

I also have to wonder; how much of this was the Union’s doing? I wonder if Ford received a threatening phone call from the President of the AFL-CIO and was told, “You either pull that ad or you are going have a huge labor walkout on your hands!” I cannot prove that in a court of law. But I would be willing to bet money that is what happened.

Again, as I am prone to saying here, quite a bit. Remember this dumb nonsense come 2012; because no President or White House should ever, and I do mean EVER be able to pressure any business to pull advertising. We are a free Republic; and not some damned Communist dictatorship; this has to stop and I hope like the dickens that Republicans pick the right guy to beat Obama in 2012.  Because crap like this, has go to go and I mean go quickly.

UPDATED: More union vandalism and violence against business owners

As some of you know, my Father is a retired General Motors worker and a 31 year member of the U.A.W.

Which basically makes me the son of a Union member.

Which is why this story here makes me even the more sick to my stomach.

The Video:

The Story via The Daily Caller:

King Electrical Services owner John King was shot by a person who appears to be from one of the many unions who have targeted his workers, Toledo News Channel 11 WTOL reports. King is the largest non-union electrical contractor company in the area of southeastern Michigan near the Ohio border.

He has a long history of being on the receiving end of union-related violence, and this case doesn’t appear to be any different. Before shooting him, the gunman etched the word “SCAB” into the side of King’s SUV.

The altercation started when King woke up late last Wednesday to find someone in his driveway. He described the intruder as a “silhouette figure” because he didn’t see the person clearly enough to offer a description. The individual was attempting to vandalize his SUV. When King went outside his Lambertville, Mich., home to confront the person, the vandal shot him in the arm.

The Labor Union Report Picks up the rest:

Until Wednesday, the worst of the union attacks on King and his business came in the mid-eighties during the UAW strike at AP Parts. During a lull during the lengthy strike, King’s business was picketed by more than 50 IBEW picketers. This was at a time when he only had eight or nine employees. One of his employees, whose car was trashed by the union picketers, was also beaten up by IBEW thugs.

Unfortunately, the vandalism has never stopped. This year alone, he’s had to report three incidents of damage to police. This doesn’t include the incidents of stalking he and his men have to go through while they’re working.

In one incident earlier this year, rocks were thrown through the front windows of his shop, one of which had the word “kill” written on it.

Last Wednesday, however, the attacks on Mr. King became much more serious when he was awakened late in the evening at his home in Monroe County, Michigan and saw that the motion lights in his driveway had come on. When he looked out his front window, he saw a figure near his SUV and went outside.

As soon as he got outside his front door, King yelled at the individual who was crouched down by King’s vehicle. As soon as King yelled, the suspect stood and, without hesitation, fired a shot at Mr. King.

Luckily for King, as he yelled, he also stumbled. If it weren’t for that, however, John King’s injuries might have been much, much worse. In fact, he might have been killed.

Upon scrambling back into his house, King got to his cell phone and called 911. However, due to the pain in his knees and shoulder from falling, King was unaware that he had been shot in the arm.

At first, King thought that his assailant was merely trying to break into his vehicle. Little did he know, however, that the perpetrator was targeting him–because of his non-union company.

The night of the shooting, police recovered a shell casing from a small caliber handgun. In addition to the shell casing, police also found a Swiss Army knife that police say was likely going to be used to slice the tires on King’s SUV.

While neither the police, nor Mr. King can say which union was behind the attack, it is very clear by the word ‘scab’ scrawled on his SUV that it the attack was union-related.

“The police have been very thorough,” King says. “I cannot praise the Monroe County Sheriff’s department enough.”

The Monroe County Sheriff’s office is encouraging anyone with information to call 734-240-7530.

In addition, Mr. King is offering a $10,000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

I seem to remember that Obama said to his union supporters, something about “getting in their faces:”

Now, Do I believe that this is what Obama had in mind? Yes I do. You can expect this sort of violence, as long as Obama is up for reelection. This and the media straight up lying about racism on the right.

As I said last night. We have 14 more months of this to endure — 14 more months. 🙄

Here is hoping, however, that this thug or thugs are caught and hopefully, this business owner arms himself. I mean, because without a gun; this guy is a sitting duck.

Let me also say this; I have been around unions for a very long time. I have never, ever, heard of any of the U.A.W. guys ever taking part in anything like this; ever. At least not in the local that my Dad is in. I have heard of union violence in other locals; but never in the one my daddy is involved with. I also believe that whoever did this; should be publicly exposed. Because stuff like this, makes the labor movement look bad to the rest of the world. Hell, my daddy is not a vile criminal like that, he worked for 31 years at General Motors, played by the rules and made something of himself.

I could go on here and carp on about how the Unions are inherently corrupt and so forth; but, I will not, even I know better than that. I believe this most likely is an isolated incident with a local labor union, who might have some members who are a bit shady. What needs to happen is, that the Government needs to investigate this local and see if they were involved. But, that will not happen under the current Presidential Administration.

Update: Ed Morrissey over at Hotair.com covers this; for which I am very grateful and adds this haunting video:

Tense Verizon Strike Continues: MyFoxNY.com

Ed Also says this:

It’s worth pointing out that “open season” is a hunting term. Remember when crosshairs on a map made Sarah Palin responsible for all political violence regardless of what the facts were? The actual violence that occurred in Michigan seems a lot more connected to unions, and the same will be true if a violent incident occurs in New York in the Verizon dispute. Will the national media shriek about unions being the cause of political violence and demand sanctions against them? Don’t hold your breath.

I also should note, the it is not lost on me where this happened. It happened in the Monroe, Michigan area. Which is about 20 miles to the south of me or so; as the crow flies. This is a new low for the Labor movement in Michigan. I can honestly say, that I am ashamed of being from this state. 🙁

President Obama just will not accept the fact that his polices failed

This guy is unbelievable!

At a town hall meeting on his campaign-style tour of the Midwest, President Obama claimed that his economic program “reversed the recession” until recovery was frustrated by events overseas. And then, Obama said, with the economy in an increasingly precarious position, the recovery suffered another blow when Republicans pressed the White House for federal spending cuts in exchange for an increase in the national debt limit, resulting in a deal Obama called a “debacle.”

“We had reversed the recession, avoided a depression, gotten the economy moving again,” Obama told a crowd in Decorah, Iowa. “But over the last six months we’ve had a run of bad luck.” Obama listed three events overseas — the Arab Spring uprisings, the tsunami in Japan, and the European debt crises — which set the economy back.

“All those things have been headwinds for our economy,” Obama said. “Now, those are things that we can’t completely control. The question is, how do we manage these challenging times and do the right things when it comes to those things that we can control?”

“The problem,” Obama continued, “is that we’ve got the kind of partisan brinksmanship that is willing to put party ahead of country, that is more interested in seeing their political opponents lose than seeing the country win. Nowhere was that more evident than in this recent debt ceiling debacle.”

via Obama: I reversed recession until ‘bad luck’ hit | Campaign 2012.

The man is a typical politician; when things fail, “It wasn’t my fault!” Um, yes, Obama, it was…. Let’s review shall we? –:

The charts don’t lie! (H/T to Gateway Pundit)

Charts don't lie Mr. President...

Unemployment was high under Bush, it has gotten HIGHER under Obama!

Charts don't lie Obama!

So, Yes, President Obama; it is YOUR fault, your spending debacle to try to grow the economy FAILED and now we’re saddled with debt, our economy is still damned broke and yet, you refuse to take responsibility for it!

Just to show how much of a damned blowhard this big eared bastard piece of shit really is; instead of staying at the White House and doing his damned job, like he is supposed to, this big eared piece of shit is going around traveling, trying to make people still like him, in a damned bus that costs 1.1 million TAXPAYER dollars! That’s right, bought and paid for with YOUR money!

Enough is enough! This man has got to go! Vote different in 2012. I know that I will be.

My thoughts on the riots in London

Yes, I know about silly riots in London.  My question is this, what the heck happened to jolly old England? Better yet, what the happened to the mighty Great Britain?

I’ll tell you what happened. Liberal Progressivism and Multiculturalism —- that’s what! 😡

I find myself in agreement with Lew Rockwell and a Gun blogger named “Say Uncle“: (H/T Insty)

What kind of Country sits back and allows knuckle-dragging nimrods trash and burn a great Country like England? Seriously!  I mean, at what point does the police or officials in Great Britain say, “Okay, screw it; this pacifistic bullshit is not cutting it anymore, it is time to bring out the REAL GUNS and the REAL BULLETS!” and start mowing these stupid bastards down? When?!?!?!

I saw those pictures, reminds me of another very famous socialist uprising — here in Detroit!

Let us compare, shall we?

London - 2011

and then here in Detroit — 1967:

Detroit - 1967

Detroit - 1967 (better picture...)

and yes….

It was that same old bullshit line of, "Oh woe is us! We're being kept down by them rich, white, capitalists who want to hurt our people!"

The truth is, in 1967, blacks were free to work, live and play where they wanted to. There was no oppression of blacks at all, period, end of damned discussion! 😡 Down south in Alabama, maybe; but not in Detroit.

What happened here was this; a group of far leftists decided that they resented the fact that white people were running the City of Detroit Government and that the police force in Detroit was all white, so, they decided to take it out on the businesses in Detroit. So, they burned them to the ground. All because of the fact that the city of Detroit had a special unit, called the STRESS unit — which stood for Stop the Robberies, Enjoy Safe Streets by the way; that kept blacks from robbing and killing white people and other black people in the city.

The result? This:

This is Detroit 2011 --- A ghost of it's former glory --- This is corktown, looking down towards downtown Detroit. -- This is what progressivism gets you folks! For that it is worth, I can get more photos that look much worse than this one. They readily available on the internet and also, I can take some if need be.

This is what London, England and most likely the rest of Great Britain will look like, if they do not put down that Marxist uprising; and I do mean fast.  That above, is what class warfare and progressivism gets you — ruined cities. Believe me when I tell you, Detroit, Michigan is beyond ruined and this is why, progressivism and class warfare. Not to mention Multiculturalism or what it really should be called, “Punishing White people for things that happened before the majority of them in this day and age were even born.”

I mean, these rioters in England are doing it, why? — because they know damned well that they can get away with it.  I mean, what kind of a message does it send to the rest of the world, when a group of thugs says, “We’re doing this, because we want rich people to know, that we’re gonna rule you by causing fear?” It sends to me a message of cowardice, of the English Government, that’s what! It sends a message that the Government of Great Britain are cowering down to domestic terrorists.

In closing; could this happen in America? Yes. But it is very far off. We still have a second amendment and Conservatives who are still willing to fight. But our media is well on its way.  The good thing is, we here in America, have our own Conservative media, that does push back against the Liberal controlled, owned and financed media.

Great: The United States is now borrowing more than the GDP

This is unreal… 🙄

US debt shot up $238 billion to reach 100 percent of gross domestic project after the government’s debt ceiling was lifted, Treasury figures showed Wednesday.

Treasury borrowing jumped Tuesday, the data showed, immediately after President Barack Obama signed into law an increase in the debt ceiling as the country’s spending commitments reached a breaking point and it threatened to default on its debt.

The new borrowing took total public debt to $14.58 trillion, over end-2010 GDP of $14.53 trillion, and putting it in a league with highly indebted countries like Italy and Belgium.

Public debt subject to the official debt limit — a slightly tighter definition — was $14.53 trillion as of the end of Tuesday, rising from the previous official cap of $14.29 trillion a day earlier.

Treasury had used extraordinary measures to hold under the $14.29 trillion cap since reaching it on May 16, while politicians battled over it and over addressing the country’s bloating deficit.

The official limit was hiked $400 billion on Tuesday and will be increased in stages over the next 18 months.

via US borrowing tops 100% of GDP: Treasury – Yahoo! News.

Chew on that one for a few seconds or longer. The USA is borrowing more money from China, that the United States makes as a whole. For the reading up on the GDP, click here. I also recommend that you read up on the Gross National Product and Gross Domestic Income. All of that above, factors into our economy; and believe me when I tell you — we are circling the drain my friends.

What I will tell you is; because I am an honest blogger and not some partisan shill for a particular party – is this here.  Many on the right wing Blogosphere will be quick to put this entire situation on President Obama.  I cannot and will not do that; the truth is folks, we did have and still do have two wars that we are fighting; and those cost money too.  We also did have the bailout of the banks and tarp bailouts, the trap loans to the big three, being a fraction of the total cost.

Truth is my friends; we are here because of foolishness of our elected leaders — Republican and Democratic Party.  Both sides have steered this Nation over a cliff.  President Obama tried and ultimately failed to bring an economic revival to the Country.  Now we have to pay the proverbial piper.  It is going to be a painful process; the tap is turned off and we are now going to have embrace austerity.

It is a horrible thing to endure, but it is something that we are going to have to endure — if we are going to continue as a Country, as we know it now.

Kudos to CEO Steve Wynn!

(Via Gateway Pundit)

Fox Business reports:

Las Vegas heavyweight Steve Wynn, a self-described Democratic businessman, unloaded on the White House this week, blaming President Barack Obama’s political philosophy for the nation’s stagnant job growth and poor business climate.

Wynn, the CEO of Wynn Resorts (WYNN), called the administration the “greatest wet blanket to business and progress and job creation in my lifetime.”

Rep. John Flemming, (R-La.), argues increasing taxes will kill jobs and hurt the economy.

The comments underscore the tense relationship between corporate America and the White House, and come as Washington is paralyzed by the tense negotiations to raise the nation’s debt limit.

“I believe in Las Vegas. I think its best days are ahead of it. But I’m afraid to do anything in the current political environment in the United States,” said Wynn, who was responding to a question during his company’s earnings conference call about expanding in Vegas.

Wynn, 69, is worth an estimated $2.3 billion as of this year, up from $1.5 billion previously, according to Forbes. In 2006 he was named as one of the world’s 100 most influential people by Time. Wynn’s casinos include the Wynn Las Vegas, Wynn Macau and Encore.

Wow. 😯

…and he’s a Democrat…. I figure the usual suspects will call him a racist. But, he is just saying what many other people; Republican and Democrat are thinking.

Why is Rick Perry associating himself with dangerous religious extremists?

I hate having to write blog entries like this; mainly, because I happen to like Rick Perry. However, because I am a blogger of the truth — and because I do not want to see Rick Perry wounded in the election. I am bringing this point up.

Rick Perry has a religious wacko problem and I mean a big one!

The story comes via the Texas Observer: (H/T to Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs for pointing this out)

On September 28, 2009, at 1:40 p.m., God’s messengers visited Rick Perry.

On this day, the Lord’s messengers arrived in the form of two Texas pastors, Tom Schlueter of Arlington and Bob Long of San Marcos, who called on Perry in the governor’s office inside the state Capitol. Schlueter and Long both oversee small congregations, but they are more than just pastors. They consider themselves modern-day apostles and prophets, blessed with the same gifts as Old Testament prophets or New Testament apostles.

The pastors told Perry of God’s grand plan for Texas. A chain of powerful prophecies had proclaimed that Texas was “The Prophet State,” anointed by God to lead the United States into revival and Godly government. And the governor would have a special role.

The day before the meeting, Schlueter had received a prophetic message from Chuck Pierce, an influential prophet from Denton, Texas. God had apparently commanded Schlueter—through Pierce—to “pray by lifting the hand of the one I show you that is in the place of civil rule.”

Gov. Perry, it seemed.

Schlueter had prayed before his congregation: “Lord Jesus I bring to you today Gov. Perry. … I am just bringing you his hand and I pray Lord that he will grasp ahold of it. For if he does you will use him mightily.”

And grasp ahold the governor did. At the end of their meeting, Perry asked the two pastors to pray over him. As the pastors would later recount, the Lord spoke prophetically as Schlueter laid his hands on Perry, their heads bowed before a painting of the Battle of the Alamo. Schlueter “declared over [Perry] that there was a leadership role beyond Texas and that Texas had a role beyond what people understand,” Long later told his congregation.

Nothing wrong with that right? A couple of Ministers praying over someone right?

Well, it’s not the praying that is the problem; it’s the people doing the praying that is the problem.

This is the part of the story published that caught my eyes:

Some of the fiercest critics of the New Apostolic Reformation come from within the Pentecostal and charismatic world. The Assemblies of God Church, the largest organized Pentecostal denomination, specifically repudiated self-proclaimed prophets and apostles in 2000, calling their creed a “deviant teaching” that could rapidly “become dictatorial, presumptuous, and carnal.”

Assemblies authorities also rejected the notion that the church is supposed to assume dominion over earthly institutions, labeling it “unscriptural triumphalism.”

The New Apostles talk about taking dominion over American society in pastoral terms. They refer to the “Seven Mountains” of society: family, religion, arts and entertainment, media, government, education, and business. These are the nerve centers of society that God (or his people) must control.

Asked about the meaning of the Seven Mountains, Schlueter says, “God’s kingdom just can’t be expressed on Sunday morning for two hours. God’s kingdom has to be expressed in media and government and education. It’s not like our goal is to have a Bible on every child’s desk. That’s not the goal. The goal is to hopefully have everyone acknowledge that God’s in charge of us regardless.”

But climbing those mountains sounds a little more specific on Sunday mornings. Schlueter has bragged to his congregation of meetings with Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, state Sen. Brian Birdwell, and the Arlington City Council. He recently told a church in Victoria that state Rep. Phil King, a conservative Republican from Weatherford, had allowed him to use King’s office at the Capitol to make calls and organize.

“We’re going to influence it,” Schlueter told his congregation. “We’re going to infiltrate it, not run from it. I know why God’s doing what he’s doing … He’s just simply saying, ‘Tom I’ve given you authority in a governmental authority, and I need you to infiltrate the governmental mountain. Just do it, it’s no big deal.’ I was talking with [a member of the congregation] the other day. She’s going to start infiltrating. A very simple process. She’s going to join the Republican Party, start going to all their meetings. Some [members] are already doing that.”

Okay, time to bust out with my Christian credentials here. As most of you know, who read this blog. I am a Born-Again Christian. but, I do not wear it on my sleeve really anymore. I have been “saved,” as the Christian World calls it, for 29 years. 21 of those years was spent in the Pentecost movement or type of Churches. I spent nine and a half years of that time in a Assembly of God Church in Southwest Detroit. So, believe me when I tell you; when it comes to this subject, I know full well, of what I speak.

When the Assembles of God denounces a group like this one here; believe me, it is for a very good reason. These people are kooks and I mean really, really, really bad kooks. The Assemblies of God in the spectrum of the Pentecostal movement are some of the most Conservative —- theologically speaking — Churches and people in the Pentecostal movement. These kooks that Rick Perry are hanging with, in that same spectrum, are the more progressive or radical kind.  These people make people like Benny Hinn, Rod Parsley and the many others look like boy scouts! 😯

What I am basically trying to say is this; and I hope like the dickens that someone sees this and advises Rick Perry on it — Rick Perry, if he wants to be elected President of the United States of America, needs to put as much daylight between these people and himself as he possibly can. These people are the Christian equivalent of say, the Muslim brotherhood; except maybe they do not try to kill people. What they do want to do is this; they want to rip out the United States Constitution and have a Government that dictates its laws from the Bible. The problem with that is this; the United States of America was not founded as a Christian dictatorship, it was founded as a Constitutional Republic.

This group of people who Rick Perry is hanging with are a part of the radical, extreme Christian Right. If Rick Perry thinks that the left and the liberal media will not savage him for this sort of association; he, with all due respect to the man and the office that he now holds — is crazy.

During the 2008 election, the right — including myself —- utterly brutalized then candidate Barack Obama for his radical and Anti-American Religious affiliations. I feel, that what is fair, is fair. Because I am not entrenched in partisanship, I believe that Rick Perry should either give an account of why he is associated with these people or disassociate himself from them.  As much as I know that the White House is now occupied by radical leftists — both former and current cabinet and staff members. I just do not believe that putting in a radical Christian Right President and cabinet is the answer to that problem.

We need a strong fiscal Conservative in the White House to bring this Nation back to its rightful place. We do not need some radical Religious nut-job in the White House. Lord knows, we had eight good years of that, and look what it got us. I say that as someone who suffered through those eight years. Also too, Do not think that I say this as a Fundamentalist Baptist with a “hard on” against Pentecostals. This is someone who has been around in the Christian world for a LONG TIME and I have seen what those people believe, and even as Pentecostals; they as nutty as they come.

In closing: Rick Perry needs to do the proper and right thing; or he should forget about running for President.

Foursquare is worth 600 Million Dollars?!?!?!

Holy freaking crap… 😯

I am, indeed, in the wrong freaking business.

Video:

The Story via the WSJ:

Start-up Foursquare Labs Inc. has a large user base and a $600 million valuation, but unlike social-media stars Zynga Inc. and LinkedIn Corp., it has a big hole on the revenue line.

Now, the service, which lets users announce their location to friends by “checking in” at bars, restaurants and other venues via cellphone, hopes to ease its revenue problem with a series of pacts to remarket daily coupon deals from LivingSocial, Gilt Groupe and AT&T Inc. to its 10 million users.

New York-based Foursquare is in talks on a similar arrangement with Groupon Inc., people familiar with the matter said.

Foursquare will begin making the deals available Tuesday. Chief Executive Dennis Crowley said it will get revenue from the deals it sells for its partners, but declined to specify the breakdown.

The move is Foursquare’s most significant attempt yet to build a revenue stream. If it works, it could reduce the skepticism toward the start-up’s business model.

Despite its growing user base and brand, the three-year-old company hasn’t come up with a way of making much money from its service. Foursquare thinks its location-tracking capability and data, such as where a subscriber’s friends are checking in, will help it better target daily deals and produce a higher conversion rate for them in the increasingly crowded market.

Foursquare has checked into a new office in San Francisco, its first outside of New York. Co-founder Naveen Selvadurai talked with Stacey Delo about how the company isn’t concerned about revenue or valuations, but is concerned about privacy.

“We are trying to see if our targeting works and how users will react,” Mr. Crowley said in an interview in Foursquare’s New York office. “The deals haven’t been heavily targeted with some of these providers.”

Jake Maas, senior vice president of business development for LivingSocial, said the deal with Foursquare adds another distribution channel for his company, which already markets deals through websites and bloggers. “We’ll see where it goes, but we are optimistic,” he said.

AT&T has started its own location-based deals service, but AT&T Interactive CEO David Krantz said partnerships in which companies share deals and users will become more common as the market gets more competitive.

“Nobody reaches everyone,” said Mr. Krantz. “You will see a web of top players who have sales forces and brands working together.”

Foursquare also has struck agreements to market offers from group-deal site BuyWithMe and from Zozi, which offers deals on activities like golf lessons. Gilt City, the Gilt Groupe subsidiary that offers daily deals, will be offering the deals to Foursquare.

Would it be wrong of me to hate on a guy that stands to make that much coin; off something like that? Maybe just a little?

Nah, if he designed it and it took off; I am all for it. God Bless the man and hope he puts it to good use.

But 600 Million?!?!? Holy Moses. 😯

Update on job prospects

As I wrote earlier, I had a job interview yesterday.

The interview went well, at least, I thought so anyhow.

I will not know anything, until after Wednesday of next week. I have something going on this coming week involving my Dad — Which I will post about here shortly.

So, at this point, it is strictly a prospect; someone who called me about a job.

To give you a little hint: It is a driving job. Delivering air freight. Close to what I was doing, before I became involved in blogging. I have had two good driving jobs in my life. I lasted over a year at both of them. Both companies sadly went under in this tough economy.

The real kicker? The guy pulled my resume, because of something I left in the comments section. He could tell, I was a Conservative. 😀

Stay tuned, as I will know more later, hopefully.

Republicans say “No Mas!” to debt ceiling talks

Looks like the Republicans have had enough.

This comes via ABC’s The Note:

Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., will also drop out of the debt talks, a source within his office confirms today. The Arizona Republican’s office will issue a formal statement shortly.

After House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) dropped out of the talks this morning, Senator Kyl was the lone Republican in the group left. And with his withdrawal late this morning, the group does not have a Republican negotiator left in the room.

The group was set to meet for the 11th time this afternoon with Vice President Biden, their third meeting of the week.

The group started as six – but is now down to four members from Congress. The remaining members are: Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Senate Appropriations Chairman Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), Assistant House Minority Leader James Clyburn (D-S.C.), and House Budget Committee ranking member Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.).

This is nothing more, than the Republicans finally growing a pair and telling the Democrats, “you made this bed; now lay in it!!”

What I find amusing is this idiot spin by the Democrats:

UPDATE 12:00 p.m. – A Senior Democratic aide says, “Cantor and Kyl just threw Boehner and McConnell under the bus. This move is an admission that there will be a need for revenues and Cantor and Kyl don’t want to be the ones to make that deal.”

More liberal spin and bullcrap. The Republicans; unlike liberals, know that raising taxes on the Nation’s top earners is NOT a smart way to create jobs and generate revenue for the Country. The way to do this properly is to lower taxes for the top earners and remove regulation for the aspiring entrepreneur, who wants to follow the American dream and be his own boss.

But, no, the Democrats want to TAX the crap out of EVERYONE; not just the top earners, but everyone, to pay for their ill-conceived and hair-brained plans like so-called “economic stimulus” that did not work at all. This is why the Republicans walked out on these talks.

Allahpundit over at HotAir.com snarks:

Note to self: Buy gold.

…….and seeing that the Republicans and Democrats are not willing to come together to fix this problem. That is most likely not a very bad idea……

Video: Voices from the Gulf

This video comes via HotAir.com

I want to share this video, but first a few thoughts of my own…

Over the course of my blogger career here, I have written repeatedly about the Internationalist Democrats, who have sold the American Worker up the river on more than one occasion.  President Bill Clinton did it, with the signing of the NAFTA and TAFTA agreements and now President Barack Obama is doing it with exporting oil from Brazil.  The problem is, Obama wants to fight against the American oil companies and their monopoly on the prices of gas.  In the process of this, he is tossing under the bus, the most important part of his own base —- The American Worker.

Honestly, If President Obama wants to do something to lower gas prices, then maybe he should put pressure on the OPEC cartel and start demanding that they lower prices of oil, further more; President Obama should start going after the oil speculators, who drive up the cost of oil.  Again, it is another example of how Internationalist Democrats fight battles, exactly backwards of how they should be fought.  This video proves that.

To my Democratic Party friends — this is whom you elected in 2008.

Enjoy the Video:

If this is not a recession, then what is?

Why can’t they just call this what it is?

The Commerce Department reports that Durable goods orders dropped 3.6% in April, some of the highlights: (H/T HotAir)

New orders for manufactured durable goods in April decreased $7.1 billion or 3.6 percent to $189.9 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced today.  This decrease, down two of the last three months, followed a 4.4 percent March increase.  Excluding transportation, new orders decreased 1.5 percent.  Excluding defense, new orders decreased 3.6 percent.  Transportation equipment, also down two of the last three months, had the largest decrease, $4.9 billion or 9.5 percent to $46.7 billion.

Then there is this lovely bit of news:

Inventories of manufactured durable goods in April, up sixteen consecutive months, increased $3.2 billion or 0.9 percent to $350.5 billion.  This was at the highest level since the series was first published on a NAICS basis in 1992 and followed a 1.7 percent March increase.  Transportation equipment, also up sixteen consecutive months, had the largest increase, $1.0 billion or 1.0 percent to $106.1 billion.  This was also at the highest level since the series was first published on a NAICS basis in 1992 and followed a 2.4 percent March increase.

The only thing I can say, without repeating myself; which cannot stand doing, is that Ron Paul might be crazy on Foreign Policy, but Ron Paul is absolutely right, when it comes to fiscal policy.

Here I go, repeating myself…..again!

The fact is, for the millionth time; Whenever excessive currency is injected into the money supply, that money supply becomes devalued, that is inflation. That causes the cost of everything to rise, which causes Businesses bottom line to rise, which causes them to either rid themselves of excess labor costs (read: JOBS) or not take on any new labor costs. That, in turn, causes what you see above. People buy stuff, when they have money; and right now, nobody has any money and the ones who do are hanging on to it for dear life. That is what happens when a bubble bursts and when an Economy collapses.

So, why not call it, for what it really is, a recession? It makes zero sense to continue to deceive the American people.

UPDATEDBreaking News: The Donald is not running for President

Whew.

The Donald is not running.

Unconfirmed reports say that Charles Krauthammer was spotting on the ledge of a building in NYC, with people begging him not to jump.

Full Statement via ABC NEWS:

After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency. This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election. I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half heartedly. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector.

I want to personally thank the millions of Americans who have joined the various Trump grassroots movements and written me letters and e-mails encouraging me to run. My gratitude for your faith and trust in me could never be expressed properly in words. So, I make you this promise: that I will continue to voice my opinions loudly and help to shape our politician’s thoughts.  My ability to bring important economic and foreign policy issues to the forefront of the national dialogue is perhaps my greatest asset and one of the most valuable services I can provide to this country.  I will continue to push our President and the country’s policy makers to address the dire challenges arising from our unsustainable debt structure and increasing lack of global competitiveness.  Issues, including getting tough on China and other countries that are methodically and systematically taking advantage of the United States, were seldom mentioned before I brought them to the forefront of the country’s conversation. They are now being debated vigorously. I will also continue to push for job creation, an initiative that should be this country’s top priority and something that I know a lot about. I will not shy away from expressing the opinions that so many of you share yet don’t have a medium through which to articulate.

I look forward to supporting the candidate who is the most qualified to help us tackle our country’s most important issues and am hopeful that, when this person emerges, he or she will have the courage to take on the challenges of the Office and be the agent of change that this country so desperately needs

Thank you and God Bless America!

Donald J. Trump

There are also unconfirmed reports that President Barack Obama blurted out, “That Mother $%#$!” when he was told about the news.

Please note: This quotes and news tidbits are fictional ones and intended to be humorous. So, please, don’t be silly and actually use them for news broadcasts. 😀

Update: Saith Ed Morrissey:

So it’s the old I’d totally win if I cared enough to compete explanation, eh?   That’s not what the latest polls showed.

Update #2: Random Thought: Hmmmmm.. He got the Birth Certificate, but did not get the Bin Laden Photos; he’d make a lousy President.

Update #3: Michelle Malkin Snarks on Twitter:

Pro-govt bailout, pro-porkulus, pro-Obamacare redistributionist won’t run for prez. Trump realizes he’s a redundancy.

And the real funny one from Malkin:

Now, if only Trump could fire Newt…

Honestly, I really already knew that this was going to happen. In fact, I even wrote as such:

AllahPundit is also correct, when he says that “The Donald” is playing that “Birther” group like a fiddle for purposes of political expediency. If it becomes clear that Trump is going to run; he will drop that subject like a bad habit. You watch.

Well, I was right  —- sort of.  I thought Donald Trump might actually try to run. However, what I think is this; Some political strategist most likely told him that he was not polling that well and he decided against it. Instead, he forced the Brither thing and dropped back into the private sector.

So, there’s that. Now for the 2012 dollar question; who the heck is going to run, that I would actually vote for?

Could the DOW Could Fall 6,000 Points??!?!

Someone thinks so… (H/T GoldSilver.com)

Video:

The Story via Business Insider:

There’s a distinct possibility the U.S. stock market could plunge as much as 6,000 points if the U.S. continues to rack up record amounts of debt, causing the dollar to lose its reserve currency status, says Daily Ticker favorite Howard Davidowitz. (See video below)

“The dollar has never been at greater risk,” he tells Henry in the accompanying clip. Davidowitz is confident that if Washington doesn’t cool its spending habits, interest rates will spike and inflation will soar. Look at the value of the dollar, and the crisis is already brewing, with foreigners and sovereign nations diversifying away from dollar-denominated assets, he says.

What’s an investor to do in this scenario?

Buy hard assets, he suggests. Davidowitz says investors should own physical gold, silver and diamonds. He also thinks land is a winning bet, even suggesting young adults buy and work farmland. “I think investment in farmland with water on it is a great investment. Finance will be less important,” in the future, he says.

Sounds like a good time to buy gold to me!

Done with Reddit

Well, good ol’ Reddit won’t have me to kick around anymore….

They’ve officially decided to enforce their very selective rules and ban me from submitting links there.

Thanks Reddit for forcing me now to have to mooch off my folks to be able to get my medication for A.D.H.D.!

The traffic helped me in that aspect; and now, I do not have that any longer.

I realize that Reddit is not obligated to carry my links; they are a private entity, not the Government.

I will still be able to use facebook and twitter for promotion.

If someone happens to click on reddit from the “Share This” button, at the end of each posting, so be it. But I will not be doing it anymore.

Eh, them are the breaks, I guess.
