Holy Crap! MSNBC’s Chris Matthews says that President Barack Obama has a ā€˜Winning’ ā€˜Little Boy Smile’

Oh.my.freakin’.goodness!

File this one under “If a Republican had said this.”

This comes via Mediaite: (H/T HotAir)

Seriously, is Chris Matthews that damned shallow that he does not know, that using the word “Boy” in the same sentence with the word “Barack Obama” could be, and usually is, by black people quite highly offensive and thought to be by many as very highly racist?

Not to mention the fact that, if this had been someone; oh like say, Rush Limbaugh and he would have said this, World War III would have broken out in the media!

But, oh, because it is one of those so-called “Enlightened Liberals,” it is totally okay…. Because they are not Republicans.

Good grief…. šŸ™„

Neo-Conservative Blog RedState Employes Saul Alinsky Marxist tactics against Doug Mataconis

This is unbelievable:

Normally when I come across a poll to analyze, I’ll put on my impartial poll analysis hat and run it both at RedState and UnlikelyVoter. However seeing this new push poll by Public Policy Polling and the shamefully credulous response by Doug Mataconis at Outside the Beltway, I don’t want to hold back. I want to tell it like it is, and why unless some very good answers are given to some very important issues I’m about to raise, public opinion of both Doug Mataconis and of Tom Jensen should be diminished.

Here’s the upshot though: ever since the 2010 election, Tom Jensen has been placing his feelings as a Democrat partisan over his duty as a purported independent pollster, and that bias has now gone too far. Doug Mataconis has long been a bitter, mean-spirited troll of all good and decent reformers within the GOP, and his deranged hatred for conservatives has diminished his mental faculties to the point that he’ll believe any lie that comes down, as long as it’s nasty about conservatives. But, what do we expect from a guy whose personal web page has become an obsessive shrine to Ron Paul?

via Of a certain Mississippi poll on marriage, and of those who make hay of it | RedState.

First, just who the hell is the person writing this pathetic excuse for an article, think he is to say that Doug Mataconis public opinion should be diminished?

Second of all, why is someone who has videos of Ron Paul on your personal blog, make that person automatic disqualified from having a Public Opinion about politics?

Oh, but that is not all:

When a pollster uses his good name, and in the past I’ve stuck up for PPP when many Republicans assumed the worst from the firm, to attack an entire state’s Republican party with an out of the blue question with mysteriously weighted results, it’s time we all re-thought whether we’re going to take that pollster seriously going forward. At the very least, if you’re going to question on that obscure issue, ask Democrats and Independents the same thing. After all, it was the Jim Crow-era Democrats who supported the policy that Loving declared unconstitutional, and some of them are still alive and voting.

And when someone who claims to be a Republican (edit: as his personal webpage cites his history of GOP work, with no mention of repudiation) unquestioningly repeats the results of this poll, which has the above obvious problems with it, and starts trying to lecture ā€œthese peopleā€ without even allowing for the possibility that the poll is biased, that person has to have his intelligence questioned. Only a complete fool believes everything he reads. Doug Mataconis is apparently that fool.

Ad hominem attacks, the attempt to smear, diminish, and otherwise discredit those of differing opinions; that is what Neo-Conservative or Jacobin Democrats do. They have been doing this since 1964, when they fled the Democratic Party and infested the Republican Party to fulfill their warped foriegn policy agendas. That is what Neo-Conservatives do. This is a perfect example of that. Remember this, and vote against the Republican Party, if they put someone of this ilk in office, vote libertarian, vote Constitution Party, vote anything else, but do not vote for another Neo-Conservative. We must flush them out of our ranks, by all means possible —- including violence, if need be. Sorry, But I am not one of the many simple-minded fools that believe that peaceful revolution is possible. That is not how the founding Father’s founded this Country and it is not how liberty is gained. It is only gained by the taking up of arms against tyrants. It has been proven that time and time again, that Neo-Conservatives are nothing more that Democratic Party tyrants in conservative clothing.

Revolution is coming, and believe you me, it is needed.

Update: I was reading this over, and I thought I would add this; if anyone thinks that I advocate any sort of violence against those who disagree with me politically, you are wrong. I am not advocating or encouraging, or even suggesting that people do anything outside of the law.Ā  However, it does stand to reason, that sooner or later, the American people are going to wake up and realize; and it is happening, one person at a time — that they are being conned, not only by liberals, but by Conservatives, who use the same sort of tactics and who believe that foreign wars are a good idea. Sooner or later, Americans are going to revolt, and it is not going to be a pretty thing. That is all I was saying and if anyone perceived anything other than this, you are quite the fool. Besides that, the left talks about revolution too. So, I am not the only one who believes this.

AFL-CIO chief Trumka to discuss increasing “unions appeal”

The jokes write themselves:

Detroit— AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka is set to discuss the future of labor unions during a forum at Wayne State University. The school says that today’s program addresses what unions can do to increase their appeal to employees and expand their memberships. Trumka and other union leaders are to participate in a round table discussion at Wayne State’s McGregor Memorial Conference Center on the challenges facing unions in Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana and other states.

Well, they could start by not allowing their member unions beat black people that disagree with their politics.

Just a thought.

This here is why I cannot stand Barack Obama

People think it is because I am a racist. Which, of course, is bullshit. But, no, it has zero to do with race. It is because of crap like this right here.

Want to know the real cute part? The fucking story went down the memory hole, once people started noticing it and blogging about it. Steaming mad There is not anything that I cannot stand more, and that is a fucking coward.

Mike over at Cold Fury puts it a bit more bluntly:

Once more, with feeling: they don’t give a shit about you. In fact, they despise you. They intend to bring you to heel, and to make you suffer for all the damage you’ve done to Mother Gaia and little brown people all over the world with your greed and selfishness. Yes, that really is how they see you. They will use you only as long as it suits their purposes, and doesn’t conflict with their left-wing agenda. Unless you’re one of their blind-sheep followers, they intend to stomp you flat, any and every way they can. And if you continue voting for them, you deserve it.

Go read the rest of that, it gets much better. Embarrassed smile

Here is the video in question, I mean, even if he was joking; saying something like that is about as tone deaf as it gets, especially in this sort of an economic downturn.

Quotes of the Day

Bastard. Graham is the sort of scum you get when you blindly vote for Republicans just because there is an R after their name.

Reid, who hates America and her liberties, him I expect to act this way. But Graham likes to call himself a ā€œconservative,ā€ and then, out of that same mouth, say that America might need to ā€œlimitā€ the First Amendment to appease Muslim barbarian savages.

He’s even worse than Reid, because ignoramuses think that Graham actually loves his country and our freedoms, even though his words and actions demonstrate exactly the opposite.

Yet there is a certain segment of ā€œconservativesā€ who would expect me to vote for Graham no matter what, because he isn’t a Democrat.

I spit on that notion. I will never, ever vote for a candidate who espouses this sort of America-hating, anti-liberty, constitution-loathing crap, no matter what nominal party tag is dangling around his neck.

Video: Guest Voice: Jack Hunter on Liberals and Libya

Via Jack Hunter on Facebook:

Charles Johnson is right and here is why

First, go read — I will wait.

Are you finished?Ā  Good.

What is my point?Ā  This:

This right here above, is why I have my comments section on lock down.Ā  Not only do I require people to register, but I also moderate all comments — meaning, I personally read every comment; because of stuff like this right here.Ā  Uncontrolled discussion on blogs leads to things being said, like what Charles Johnson quoted.

However, I do wholeheartedly reject the accusation or at least the inferring that all Conservative blogs have become a swamp of hate against Muslims and or Arabs.Ā  Furthermore, I reject the inferring that all Conservatives/Classic Liberals/Republicans and Christians hate all Muslims and Arabs.Ā  That is collectivism, and it is crap; and I think Johnson is smart enough to know this, I think he is backhanding the blogs mentioned due to his dispute with the persons mentioned.

Having said of that, I do truly believe that there is a minority of persons in the Republican/Conservative/Classic Liberal crowd — who are frankly, bigoted towards Muslims and ultimately Arabs.Ā  Unlike some of the empty-headed idiots on the left, I am not going to make the asinine inferring that they are this way by design.Ā  What I will do is tell you the truth; what has caused this small but very vocal minority to become this way, is because of the attacks on American soil on September 11, 2001.

President George W. Bush, much to his credit did make the much vital distinction between the war on Terrorism and the war on Islam or Muslims or even Arabs.Ā  Not everyone within the conservative circles agreed with him and still does not agree with that mindset to this day; and now that President George W. Bush is out of the picture that vocal minority is becoming louder and much more accepted.Ā  I do not like myself; because it just makes the rest of us look bad.

This of course, is what the C.I.A. calls ā€œBlowback.ā€Ā  It is the unintended consequences of actions taken by the United States Government.Ā  Most people think of ā€œBlowbackā€ as the angering of the Arab people to cause them to take up arms and commit terrorism against the United States of America – and in fact, it is just that.Ā  However, that is just the one side of ā€œBlowback.ā€Ā  The other, more tragic and sinister side of ā€œblowbackā€ is the incitement of racial hatred towards Arabs and the religious hatred towards Muslims in General — including those here in the United States of America.

This reason, along with the laundry list of reasons; is why people like myself, Jack Hunter, Ron Paul, Rand Paul and an ever-growing list of Conservatives and Republicans are beginning to question the role of the United States Government involvement on foreign entanglements in foreign lands.

Of course, anyone with a good knowledge of the history of the United States of America and of American politics can tell you, that this is nothing new at all.Ā  In the 1940’s President Franklin Roosevelt, badly wanting to enter into the conflict against the Empire of Japan and against Germany, ordered a blockade of oil from South America that was headed to Japan.Ā  This act by the President plunged Japan into desperation caused Japan to fly across the Atlantic and attack America’s interests in the Republic of Hawaii.Ā  At the time however, Americans were not made aware of the fact that President Roosevelt had done this, as it was kept quiet by the Government.Ā  However, there were people who did know about it.Ā  Winston Churchill was one of those people, and in fact, Churchill warned FDR that doing such things would cause some sort of backlash from the Japanese and, as history shows, he was correct. Ā The sick and sad part is; to this very day, there are people who still believe that the Empire of Japan attacked the United States for no reason at all.

How this ties into the modern-day events is this; back in 1941, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States Government set up internment camps throughout the United States for the Japanese people.Ā  It is very widely believed that the decision to do this, by the United States Government was brought on by or at the very least fueled Anti-Japanese sentiment in this Country for years, even after the war. Ā Sadly, there are Conservatives, of whom I will not name; that actually advocated the interment of Muslims and Arab Americans — after the attacks on 9/11.Ā  Thankfully, the Bush Administration did not listen to the foolish ranting of the people who wrote those books.

My point is the following: Conservatives who believe that foreign policy interventionism is wrong, need to take a stand against the internationalist Democrats and the Neo-Conservative foreign policy interventionists and take control of the Republican Party and possibly the Democratic Party away from these warmongers.Ā  Because as long as the United States continues to wage war against Nations that have never really attacked it, this sort of hatred and bigotry will continue.Ā  It is simply the doctrine of ā€œCause and Effect.ā€Ā  Nothing ever happens for any reason at all.Ā  It is tragically sad, that the United States and its political parties and their legions of sheep followers, have not figured that simple kernel of truth out.

You say, ā€œWhat about protecting the Republic?ā€Ā  I do not have a problem with that.Ā  However, there is a Grand Canyon difference in protecting the Republic and protecting the empire of America; and wise is the person who knows the difference between the two.Ā  Declaring unconstitutional wars and military actions against Nations who have not attacked us; is not defending or protecting the Republic; but rather defending the empire of America and playing useful idiot to foreign lands.Ā  I hope that someday, the grassroots of both of these parties will wrestle control away from these people.Ā  However, if one is to base his hopes on the Republican Party — their recent actions — make that hope, nothing more than a pipe-dream.

More Great Commentary from Jack Hunter:

And as a Bonus:

When I am wrong, I am wrong and I was

Here I go, eating crow again! I wrote this on back on November 15, 2008:

Okay, here’s what is wrong with that up there. To infer that George W. Bush’s Administration and the Administration of President-Elect Barack Obama will be exactly the same, as much as I hate to say this about Mr. Rockwell; is just beyond crazy. Because we are talking about two totally different people; politically, ideologically and personally. I regret to say this, but for all of George W. Bush’s faults; the war, the scandals, everything — I have a real hard time sitting here and believing that he was an Imperialist, yes, he did have a very flawed vision of what he wished to accomplish in the middle east. Yes, he did take some advice from the likes of John and Neil Podhoretz. Yes, it was advice that ended up doing the President more harm that it did good in the end, politically. But to infer that he was a blind imperialist, is borderline Alex Jones sounding.

Believe me when I say this, I am about as a non-Bush fan as it comes, but I just cannot buy into the whole idea that Bush is some sort of Imperialist, being driven by some evil machine. Nor can I, with my normal functioning brain, sit here and believe that Barack Obama will do the exact same things as Bush. I just cannot do that. Because Barack Obama and the Democrats follow a totally different Political ideology than the Republicans. Now before anyone screams about the bailouts, I am fully aware of how Bush basically tossed fiscal Conservatism under the bus. I was not very happy about that. I also noticed that the bailout plan that he signed unto, has failed. But the truth is, he was forced into that, because he was told by the ā€œso-calledā€ experts, that it would work. Now it seems that the ā€œexpertsā€ were wrong.

What I am basically trying to get at here is this. If the old school Conservatives or Paleo-Conservatives, and the Libertarians want to be taken serious by the rest of the Conservative movement and the Republican Party as a whole, they need to seriously look into stopping with the Alex Jones material and stick with policy and reality. Because not everyone buys into some of the sillier nonsense that I have seen within them circles. Not only this, but they need to really get away from the abject racism that I have, in fact, seen posted on some of their Blogs.

via Political Byline Ā» Blog Archive Ā» Lew Rockwell jumps the shark.

I do not believe that I was totally wrong about President Bush. But it is very clear now that I and a good number of other people; were wrong about President Barack Obama’s foreign policy. It made sense to me at the time. I really did not think President Obama to be a “warmonger” President. However, it does sadden me; that President Obama has basically done what Bush did, listening to the Neo-Conservatives and followed their advice.

Unlike the Jacobin Democrats who have invaded the Republican Party and that flatly refuse to be held responsible for their actions in the Arab World. I do accept mine and I apologize for even doubting for a minute that a Neo-Liberal would be any different from the previous Neo-Conservative President. So, yeah, I screw the pooch here; in a very big way.

Again, I do not claim to be an absolute authority on anything at all; least of all politics. In fact, I never really claimed to be an authority. Just an opinion guy.

The Video:

Eric Holder wonders why there has been an uptick in police shootings? I can tell you exactly why; because of crap like this right here.

I very humbly submit to you; that if this homeowner had decided to use lethal force against this woman and these police officers, it would be have been entirely justified.

Once again, Jack Hunter outs a slime ball Neo-Conservative for what he really is; a warmongering pig. Notice in this video, that Jack Hunter points out the differences between Neo-Conservatives —– and Paleo-Conservatives or American Conservatives who are against interventionist foriegn policy. Something that the Republican Party was for prior to the mass exodus from the Democratic Party in 1964. Then these Jacobin Democrats brought their foreign policy with them. That, my friends, is the problem and what brought us George W. Bush.

The Saturday Afternoon Mental Health Break: Special Memorial Edition – Geraldine Ferraro RIP

Regardless of what one thought of her political leaning; you cannot argue this fact — Geraldine Ferraro was one hell of a woman. Pioneer, Glass ceiling breaker… all of that…

In that Spirit and in that Spirit alone, I present this…. Rest in peace Lady…. you’ve more than earned it.

Video:

Via LA Times:

WASHINGTON—
Geraldine Ferraro, the Democratic congresswoman who became the first woman on a major party presidential ticket as Walter Mondale’s running mate in 1984, died on Saturday at the age of 75, according to a statement from her family.

Ferraro died at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston of a blood cancer after a 12-year illness.

Geraldine Ferraro

Ferraro was a telegenic, articulate and fiery three-term New York congresswoman when Mondale picked her from the male-dominated U.S. House of Representatives. Ferraro’s presence on the Democratic ticket generated excitement on the campaign trail, particularly among females of all ages.

Yet on Election Day, Republican President Ronald Reagan and Vice President George Bush defeated Mondale and Ferraro in a landslide, carrying every state except Mondale’s home state of Minnesota.

In delivering her concession speech that night, Ferraro urged Americans to support the re-elected president, and then saluted Mondale for helping women reach new political heights.

“For two centuries, candidates have run for president. Not one from a major party ever asked a woman to be his running mate — until Walter Mondale,” she said.

“Campaigns, even if you lose them, do serve a purpose,” Ferraro said. “My candidacy has said the days of discrimination are numbered. American women will never be second-class citizens again.”

She was a Democrat from a time, when the Democratic Party was still a respectable organization. May she rest in peace.

Prayers for the family. šŸ™

The Evangelical Compromise Continues: Now Christians are rejecting the idea of a literal hell

Not that this is anything new; but it annoys me, every time I read an instance of it:

For many traditional Christians, though, Bell’s new book sounds a lot like the old theological position of universalism — a heresy for many churches, teaching that everyone, regardless of religious belief, will ultimately be saved by God. And that, they argue, dangerously misleads people about the reality of the Christian faith.

“I just felt like on every page he’s trying to say ‘It’s OK,'” said Southern Baptist Seminary President Albert Mohler at a forum last week on Bell’s book held at the Louisville institution. “And there’s a sense in which we desperately want to say that. But the question becomes, on what basis can we say that?”

Bell argues that hell has assumed an outsize importance in Christian teaching, considering the word itself only appears in the New Testament about 12 times, by his count.

“For a 1st-century Jewish rabbi, where you go when you die wasn’t the most pressing question,” Bell told The Associated Press. “The question was how can you enter into the shalom and peace of God right now, this day.”

Bell denies he’s a universalist, and his exact beliefs on what happens to people after death are hard to pin down, but he argues that such speculation distracts people from an urgent point. In his telling, hell is something freely chosen that already exists on earth, in everything from war to abusive relationships.

The near-relish with which some Christians stress the torments of hell, Bell argues, keep many believers needlessly afraid of a loving God, and repel potential Christians who might otherwise be curious about the faith’s teachings.

“The heart of the Christian story is that God is love,” he said. “But when you hear the word ‘Christian,’ you don’t necessarily think ‘Oh, sure, those are the people who don’t stop talking about God’s love.’ Some other things would come to mind.”

via Who’s in hell? Pastor’s book sparks eternal debate – Yahoo! News.

I could go into a long, meandering post about the argument against this apostate drivel. But, I do believe my position is clear. If you are a regular reader of this blog; you know my position. But I cannot say that the Bible does not warn of this sort of nonsense; it does: Check it out:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:1-17 KJV)

First they take the King James Bible out; then they start singing that contemporary “worship” music. Then, they start questioning core doctrines.

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? – (Psalms 11:3 KJV)

‘Nuff said….

Also let me says this; Christian Liberal Theology and Political Liberal Doctrine originated out of the same place — Alexandria, Egypt. Anyone who has read any of the writings of Dr. Peter S. Ruckman, David Cloud, or “Sabotage” by Jack Chick; knows exactly of what I speak.

Clip:

Full:

…and the transcript:

It feels to me after a long time of being on defense that something is starting to turn in the world and we just have to decide if we are on defense or offense
Maybe there is a different way to look at some of theses questionsĀ  it’s hard for me to think about any part of organizing without thinking what just happened with this economic crisis and what it means
I don’t know how to have a discussion about labor and community if we don’t first say what do we need to do at this time in history what is the strategy that gives us some chance of winning because I spent my life time as a union organizer justice for janitors a lot of things

It seems we are at a moment where the world is going to get much much worse or much much better
Unions are almost dead we cannot survive doing what we do but the simple fact of the matter is community organizations are almost dead also and if you think about what we need to do it may give us some direction which is essentially what the folks that are in charge – the big banks and everything – what they want is stability
Every time there is a crisis in the world they say, well, the markets are stable.

What’s changed in America is the economy doing well has nothing to do with the rest of us
They figured out that they don’t need us to be rich they can do very well in a global market without us so what does this have to do with community and labor organizing more.
We need to figure out in a much more through direct action more concrete way how we are really trying to disrupt and create uncertainty for capital for how corporations operate
The thing about a boom and bust economy is it is actually incredibly fragile.
There are actually extraordinary things we could do right now to start to destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement.
For example, 10% of homeowners are underwater right their home they are paying more for it then its worth 10% of those people are in strategic default, meaning they are refusing to pay but they are staying in their home that’s totally spontaneous they figured out it takes a year to kick me out of my home because foreclosure is backed up
If you could double that number you wouldĀ  you could put banks at the edge of insolvency again.
Students have a trillion dollar debt
We have an entire economy that is built on debt and banks so the question would be what would happen if we organized homeowners in mass to do a mortgage strike if we get half a million people to agreeĀ  it would literally cause a new finical crisis for the banks not for us we would be doing quite wellĀ  we wouldn’t be paying anything.
Government is being strangled by debt
The four things we could do that could really upset wall street
One is if city and state and otherĀ  government entities demanded to renegotiate their debt
and you might say why would the banks ever do itĀ  – because city and counties could say we won’t do business with you in the future if you won’t renegotiate the debt now
So we could leverage the power we have of government and say two thingsĀ  we won’t do business with you JP Morgan Chase anymore unless you do two things: you reduce the price of our interestĀ  and second you rewrite the mortgages for everybody in the communities
We could make them do that
The second thing is there is a whole question in Europe about students’ rates in debt structure. What would happen if students said we are not going to pay.Ā  It’s a trillion dollars. Think about republicans screaming about debt a trillion dollars in student debt
There is a third thing we can think about what if public employee unions instead of just being on the defensiveĀ  put on the collective bargaining table when they negotiate they say we demand as a condition of negotiation that the government renegotiate – it’s crazy that you’re paying too much interest to your buddies the bankers it’s a strike issueĀ  – we will strike unless you force the banks to renegotiate/
Then if you add on top of that if we really thought about moving the kind of disruption in Madison but moving that to Wall Street and moving that to other cities around the country
We basically said you stole seventeen trillion dollars – you’ve improvised us and we are going to make it impossible for you to operate
Labor can’t lead this right now so if labor can’t lead but we are a critical part of itĀ  we do have money we have millions of members who are furious
But I don’t think this kind of movement can happen unless community groups and other activists take the lead.

If we really believe that we are in a transformative stage ofĀ  what’s happening in capitalism
Then we need to confront this in a serious way and develop really ability to put a boot in the wheelĀ  then we have to think not about labor and community alliancesĀ  we have to think about how together we are building something that really has the capacity to disrupt how the system operates
We need to think about a whole new way of thinking about this not as a partnership but building something new.
We have to think much more creatively. The key thing… What does the other side fear the most – they fear disruption. They fear uncertainty. Every article about Europe says in they rioted in Greece the markets went down

The folks that control this country care about one thing how the stock market goes what the bond market does how the bonuses goes. We have a very simple strategy:

  • How do we bring down the stock market
  • How do we bring down their bonuses
  • How do we interfere with there ability to be rich

And that means we have to politically isolate them, economically isolate themĀ  and disrupt them
It’s not all theory i’ll do a pitch.
So a bunch of us around the country think who would be a really good company to hate we decided that would be JP Morgan ChaseĀ  and so we are going to roll out over the next couple of months what would hopefully be an exciting campaign about JP Morgan Chase that is really about challenge the power of Wall Street.

And so what we are looking atĀ  is the first week in May can we get enough people together starting now to really have an week of action in New York I don’t want to give any details because I don’t know if there are any police agents in the room.
The goal would be that we will roll out of New York the first week of May. We will connect three ideas

  • that we are not broke there is plenty of money
  • they have the moneyĀ  – we need to get it back
  • and that they are using Bloomberg and other people in government as the vehicle to try andĀ  destroy us

And so we need to take on those folks at the same time
and that we will start here we are going to look at a week of civil disobedience – direct action all over the city
then roll into the JP Morgan shareholder meeting which they moved out of New York because I guess they were afraid because of Columbus.

There is going to be a ten state mobilization it try and shut down that meeting and then looking at bank shareholder meetings around the countryĀ  and try and create some moments like Madison except where we are on offense instead of defense
Where we have brave and heroic battles challenging the power of the giant corporations. We hope to inspire a much bigger movement about redistributing wealth and power in the country and that labor can’t do itself that community groups can’t do themselves but maybe we can work something new and different that can be brave enoughĀ  and daring and nimble enough to do that kind of thing.

…and what does the left do for a defense; smear the person reporting the story. Honestly, is this the best that the left can do? Smear the messenger? Hell, the liberal blogger even admits that he would like to see it done!

Quote:

First of all, I would be ecstatic if I thought something like this could possibly be done successfully in America in 2011. But not only is organized, widespread progressive action of this kind extraordinarily unlikely, but Lerner’s notion of how it would play out (if the voice on the tape is his — Blodget admits he can’t verify this) is ridiculously naive.

I give him props for being realistic. However, I find that his method of attacking the messenger to be quite lame. If you have no good defense; the best thing is to just shut the fuck up and not make your side look any lamer, stupid and quite frankly idiotic than it already does.

An aside; yes, I do myself find this story to be a bit overhyped. Because the person in question was fired. For, what else? For trying to screw with union funds:

The high-level firing appears to confirm that the 1199 Ohio group including Tom Woodruff and Scott Courtney is consolidating power at SEIU, and Tasty is told that the issue came to a head over a dispute about the national unions organizing budget: Would SEIU spend millions of dollars on a multi-city campaign to organize low-paid workers and attack the banks as Lerner wanted, or would the money be spent on more traditional organizing targets and on propping up the UHW trusteeship in California, where SEIU has already sunk tens of millions of dollars? Other sources tell Tasty that several key SEIU staffers feared Lerners campaign would be more of the same smoke-and-mirror, media-driven gambits that have soaked up tens of millions of dollars without resulting in new members OR additional credibility for SEIU in the area of financial reform.

The pink-slipping of Stephen Lerner highlights the serious turmoil inside Mary Kays purple palace as staff leaders jockey for power and control over millions of dollars of budget money that is… your dues dollars. Tasty hears that Stephen Lerner is not the only staffer whos likely to get the axe, and that other staffers are likely to quit their jobs and follow Lerner out the door. Meanwhile, Lerners firing creates another vacancy on SEIUs International Executive Board Lerner was one of the International staffers who also sat on the board, which Mary Kay will have to fill. Stay tuned for more!

So, okay, yes it was overhyped a bit. So what? Did not left overhype George W. Bush as everything from the spawn of Satan to the second incarnation of Hitler? Further more, the tactics of the SEIU have been on par with shit the Ford Security goons at the battle of the overpass. So, I’d rather not hear stupid shit like this from the left, at all. Because, as a son of a UAW member and retired General Motors employee; who is keenly aware of his history —- Walter Reuther would be spinning is his grave if he saw the tactics of the modern day labor movement. The very people, that he sought to throw out of the AFL-CIO and the UAW are now controlling it. Of course, now, they’re not calling themselves Communists. They are calling themselves progressives.

Plain and simple, the left just needs to stop. Because with each and every passing day, with every idiotic thing they do; they further damage their brand. Which, in a way, is a good thing for people like me. Who would like to see the Democratic Party of OLD — return and not this far leftist tripe, which has been holding court for the last damned 3 years now.

Hey Ann Althouse?

Ya know, I am all for Bloggers exercising the right to control comments. BUT!

This strikes me as awfully lame of those guys.

Althouse writes:

UPDATE: Farley wrote a new post to say thanks for the link. I’m not going to link to it though, because I’m not going to link to them again. I hope they note all the traffic they are getting from here, because they’re not getting any more. Of course, they will continue with their dumb attacks on me. But they’ve cut off the man who defends me from them, so I’ve got to cut them off too.

Um, Ann? You could send the traffic to me. I mean, I am an unemployed person and I could use the extra revenue. You know, seeing jobs around this area here are a bit sparse and all.Ā  Seeing that I do use the revenue from this blog to buy my medicine, because I don’t have any health insurance and really don’t like having to ask the folks for any money. Certainly a Conservative like her, who believes in self-reliance and such could understand that.

But… I don’t think that I am entitled to it or anything. It just would be nice. šŸ˜€

U.K.’s PCC investigates Melanie Phillips blog posting

This is what happens when you coddle minorities, and yes that does include Arabs — and yes, Jews too:

A Melanie Phillips blogpost on the Spectator website which referred to the “moral depravity” of Arab “savages” is being investigated by the Press Complaints Commission. The online comment piece, headlined “Armchair barbarism”, focused on media coverage of the murder of five members of a Jewish family in the West Bank settlement of Itamar by Palestinian militants earlier this month.”The moral depravity of the Arabs is finding a grotesque echo in the moral bankruptcy and worse of the British and American ‘liberal’ media,” wrote Phillips.”Overwhelmingly, the media have either ignored or downplayed the atrocity – or worse, effectively blamed the victims for bringing it on themselves, describing them as ‘hard-line settlers’ or extremists.”To the New York Times, it’s not the Arab massacre of a Jewish family which has jeopardised ‘peace prospects’ – because the Israelis will quite rightly never trust any agreement with such savages – but instead Israeli policy on building more homes, on land to which it is legally and morally entitled, which is responsible instead for making peace elusive. Twisted, and sick.”

I guess the dolt that brought this investigation on thinks that slaughtering a Jewish family; including a baby is just fine, right? What really makes it sickening, is that those who killed these poor people, were trained by the US.

Yeah, perhaps her wording was a bit harsh? So what? The Arab community should be glad that Israel has not bombed Palestine to powder for these crimes. For that matter; what if she is right? Then what?

When ethnic and religious minorities control freedom of speech; something is seriously wrong. America and the U.K. both need to tell both sides of that little dispute to take their damned Religious wars back to their homelands and stop involving Government’s like the U.K. and the United States. This is why 9/11 happened and why terrorism exists; because we, that being the United States; keep involving ourselves in a dispute between to religious factions in the middle east.

Having said that, Melanie Phillips, has the damned right to say what she wishes. So what if some turban wearing fool does not like it? Who cares, what the Arab people think in the U.K.?

You find the darnedest things going through log files.

It seems that I have attracted an anonymous troll. Whom seems to think that he can be totally shielded by going through a anonymous proxy in Denmark.

There’s only one little problem. He actually made the mistake of checking in, without the proxy:

Hmmm.. Now why would an upstanding college like Rudgers allow their students to troll and blog like mine? Maybe I should call Redgers college and give them this IP address and let them know that a student is trolling on my Blog.

Amazing what you can learn by simple trudging through a log file and matching time stamps. šŸ˜€
