Boy can I relate…..
Looks like I am not the only one, who is in the sights of the intolerant left.
UPDATED! – Obamaâs visit to Mumbai, India.: 34 warships, security up the wazoo andâŚ.. No Coconuts?!?!?!
First off all, let me say, that I get this part here:
New Delhi: The White House will, of course, stay in Washington but the heart of the famous building will move to India when President Barack Obama lands in Mumbai on Saturday.
Communications set-up and nuclear button and majority of the White House staff will be in India accompanying the President on this three-day visit that will cover Mumbai and Delhi.
He will also be protected by a fleet of 34 warships, including an aircraft carrier, which will patrol the sea lanes off the Mumbai coast during his two-day stay there beginning Saturday. The measure has been taken as Mumbai attack in 2008 took place from the sea.
Arrangements have been put in place for emergency evacuation, if needed.
Obama is expected to fly by a helicopter — Marine One — from the city airport to the Indian Navy’s helibase INS Shikra at Colaba in south Mumbai.
Two jets, armed with advanced communication and security systems, and a fleet of over 40 cars will be part of Obama’s convoy.
Around 800 rooms have been booked for the President and his entourage in Taj Hotel and Hyatt.
The President will have a security ring of American elite Secret Service, which are tasked to guard the President, along with National Security Guards (NSG) and personnel from central paramilitary forces and local police in Mumbai and Delhi.
Similar arrangements will be in place in Delhi, with the Air Force One to be kept in all readiness throughout Obama’s stay here from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday morning.
Maurya Hotel, where the President will stay, has already been swarmed by American security personnel and protective measures have been put in place.
Security drills have already been carried out at the hotel as well as Rajghat, where he will visit.
Sources said 13 heavy-lift aircraft with high-tech equipment, three helicopters and 500 US security personnel have arrived in India ahead of Obama’s visit.
The US security has also brought interception and obstruction device, sniffer dogs, rescue gadgets.
Apart from Obama’s Air Force One, a few private luxury jets carrying top American corporate leaders, who are part of Obama’s entourage, are also expected to arrive in India in the next 2-3 days.
All high-rise buildings in the vicinity of Mumbai’s Taj Mahal hotel and Delhi’s Maurya Sheraton hotel, where the US President will stay, are being sanitised and security personnel will be positioned on rooftops to prevent any air-borne attack.
The Ridge area – opposite Delhi’s Maurya Sheraton hotel – has been illuminated by floodlights as part of the heightened security drill.
Okay, let me say this; I get this part here totally. Barack Obama is the President of the United States and it was just a few years ago that Mumbai had a horrible terrorist attack in that Country, so, unlike some of the Conservatives out there. I will not be whining about keeping our President safe.
However, I do believe this here is a just a wee bit much:

In their effort to provide maximum security in the run-up to his visit on Friday, they have removed coconuts which may fall on his head from trees.
All coconuts around the city’s Gandhi museum have now been cut down, an official told the BBC.
Every year in India people are injured or even killed by falling coconuts.
‘Why take a chance?’
Mani Bhavan, where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his freedom struggle against the British, is among five places the US president is visiting apart from a school, college and hotels attacked by Islamic militants in 2008.
“We told the authorities to remove the dry coconuts from trees near the building. Why take a chance?” Mani Bhavan’s executive secretary, Meghshyam Ajgaonkar, told the BBC.

I mean, seriously people! What is next? Round up all the chimpanzees, monkeys and apes in the area? For fear someone might be offended? Yeeesh. đ
What will be really funny, is if the President asks for a Coconut….to eat.

Hey, I make zero apologies for how I feel about the far socialist left. I would like to think that not all Democrats are like this; but I am really beginning to wonder. Either way,. it does not matter. The leftâs agenda is on indefinite hold and will be for the next 3 years. I doubt Obama will run for a second term. I look for the Democrats to get trounced in the 2012 election. This defeat last night was just a warm up.
Anyhow, I thought you all would like to see the venom that the left spews, when someone speaks their mind about the far left in this Country.
Now, before some idiot liberal says it or asks — do I consider what I said to be hate speech? Nope. I reject that term âHate Speechâ entirely. That is a method by the liberal left in this control freedom of speech. I believe that ALL AMERICANS, should be free to say what they want. As long as that speech does not cause mass hysteria or panic. Example: Yelling fire in a theater. However, expressing oneâs feelings about a group of political fiends — is not hate speech in my book.
So, put that in your pipe and SMOKE IT liberals! HA! Because you will be waiting a LONG time before youâll be getting an apology out of me.

How come the media is not reporting this? — FBI links shooting at Marine Corps recruiting station to 2 others
I do not expect the liberal owned and controlled media to report this; except maybe when someone dies and they celebrate it:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The FBI said on Thursday that it has linked a shooting at a Marine Corps recruiting station in a Virginia suburb outside the U.S. capital to two other shootings at the Pentagon and a Marine Corps museum.
“A shooting at a military-related facility in Chantilly, Va., has been linked to two earlier shootings at similar facilities, laboratory tests show,” the FBI said in a statement, adding that it would not release more details.
Investigators believe a high-powered rifle was used to fire up to seven shots at the Pentagon, shattering two windows, on October 19. The FBI said it had linked that shooting to another two days earlier at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, in Triangle, Virginia, 36 miles south of Washington.
No one was injured in the shootings and the FBI said they “all involved shots fired into vacant parts of the buildings.”
The FBI said it was investigating, along with local authorities, and asked for help from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity at the three sites.
The Pentagon said it was tightening security for this weekend’s Marine Corps marathon in the wake of the shootings.

This is awful, hopefully they catch this or these idiots. Now, unlike some bloggers; I will not speculate on political leanings or even if it is a Muslim terrorist or just some idiot whack job with a gun. Because stuff like this goes well beyond politics or even religious extremism. What matters here is that this….person, if you dare call him that, is using a gun to scare people and is targeting the Military. Now, I do not give a flying fark what your politics is; that my friends, is just damned wrong.
Here is hoping that they catch this so-of-a-bitch and put him behind bars….for good. I am all for Second Amendment rights, but I AM NOT for using guns, of any sort, for unlawful purposes!

The Story:
I barely knew Christine when she turned up at my door at around eight o’clock on the night of Halloween. We’d met for the first and only time three months earlier when my two roommates and I signed the lease on our apartment: Christine’s aunt owned the place we were moving into, and she happened to be up from Delaware visiting at the time. But we’d only spent about five minutes together that day and we hadn’t spoken much, and I hadn’t thought of her since.
Yet here she was standing outside my door with a friend. And both of them were pretty tipsy.
I Had a One-Night Stand With Christine O’Donnell. She asked if she and her friend could come inside our apartment to change into their costumes. She couldn’t change at her aunt’s place, she said, because she was sleeping and she didn’t want to wake her up. Would we mind if she used our bathroom instead?
It was a pretty strange request. Sure, weird stuff happens on Halloween, but I barely knew her, and it isn’t every day that someone shows up at your front door and asks to change into their ladybug costume. But I told her it was fine and she was welcome to use our place to get ready.
It didn’t take long before the two womenâwho’d clearly been drinkingâwere sitting on my couch, beers in hand, trying to convince my roommate and me to join them for a night on the town. Christine was in the holiday spirit dressed in her ladybug outfit. Her friend, who had a female pirate costume on, was much more quiet and reserved. She barely spoke all night.

About 18 months ago everybody’s favourite Ex-Canadian Human Rights Commission employee Richard Warman launched one of his many, as in very many, SLAPP suits against yours truly for, among other dastardly deeds, linking to the “far-right web site http://www.steynonline.com/“. Sheesh everybody knows Mark Steyn is controversial.
It gets better. I’m also being sued for linking to a web site while specifically referring to “the allegations” against Richard Warman. But what else would you expect from Warman, a man so tone deaf he actually believed he could win the support of both the CJC and B’nai Brith in a hate crime complaint against the JDL, who dared offend him by showing the Geert Wilders film “Fitna”.
Warman is also suing for comments made by multiple readers. In one instance for the heinous crime of calling him a “Bully”. We all know what this SLAPP suit is really all about. Warman is using every lawfare tactic he can to prevent a discussion in the public interest of Section 13 (1) and the CHRC. A discussion in which he must feature prominently.Warman is suing me for $500,000.00 Dollars. A ridiculous amount for an equally ridiculous lawsuit. Nonetheless even nuisance suits such as this must be defended against. To date legal fees have run me about 10K. I’ve covered that from my own pocket. I am now asking for your help. I know times are hard for many of us but if every reader who visited daily were to contribute 5 or 10 dollars then that would go a long way to helping all of us out.
This is your fight too, well except for the lawyer stuff anyway;)

My first reaction was, basically, to chuckle a bit. What happened was this; I was trying to edit an ad spot here a few days ago and the server that handles the ad editing — was slow, as in very, very, slow. Therefore, I hopped over to the facebook page and in so many words, told the idiots to fix their stupid slow server. I guess Henry, the man that owns BlogAds, saw it and someone got their butt chewed for it. I suspect that might have been Marc. Therefore, in retaliation, I am tossed off the service.
Here is why this really does not matter at all. I can count on one hand, how many ads I have gotten with BlogAds, since I started using it again — when I switched sides politically. I only got five or maybe six paying ads on the side. When I was a left of center Blogger, I got exactly ZERO ads. As a âRight of Centerâ Blogger, I even was a part of a few hives, or Ad Groups. Those paid nothing as well. I mean, literally no ads came from the majority of them; except maybe the so-called âConservativeâ hive. I got a few through there. I ended up leaving that hive, because of the actions of its owner. Of whom, I felt was a bit of an asshole towards David Frum. Other than this, I was not ârolling in the doughâ as some might have assumed —- much quite the opposite — I never made much of anything with Blogads at all. All of those ads, that you might have seen in the sidebars, in the Blogads, ad sections, were free ads that I ran, either to promote stuff that I was selling on zazzle or as a favor to others who asked for the help.
Frankly, it is the opinion of this writer, that Blogads day has come and gone; Blogads came on the scene in 2002 and became big in 2004, during the election. However, much has changed since then. Google Adsense got smart and started doing graphical ads — not to mention the fact that their pricing structure is a bit saner for advertisers. In addition, there is this little thing. I believe in the time old business practice of âthe Customer is always right,â no matter how abusive, nasty or whatever, the customer is always right. Frankly, if the staff over at Blogads cannot handle being yelled at, because of their subpar servers, then they should shut the company down and leave the advertising business.
Frankly, I am glad to be severed from that company and their joke of an advertising system, which benefits the bigger bloggers and leaves the smaller people like others and me on there in the cold. Therefore, I can honestly say, there was no big loss, at least not on my part.
In conclusion, I simply say to Blogads —- Goodbye and good luck. I wish you the best; however, I suspect that BlogAds will be going the way of other foolhardy ad businesses of the pre-economic bubble era — out of business, especially if they continue with this philosophy that the staff is always right.

They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.â
For the record, Obama is, at least partially correct —- Republicans, when in power and in the majority during the Bush era; did get addicted to pork and spending — just like they did back in the 1990’s. However, it is fair to note that the Democrats did do the social engineering of the economy and the housing market. This caused the bubble and the eventual collapse of the housing market and the flash crash of 2008; which lead to the credit crisis and the bailouts and so forth.
Anyhow, this blockhead over Redstate, a Dave Poff writes this idiotic tripe:

She was representing the liberal organization MoveOn.org and claimed to be presenting Paul with an award from RepubliCorp. That’s a group created by MoveOn.org that focuses on what it calls the merger between corporate America and the Republican Party. “I’m here to present Rand Paul with the ‘Employee of the Month’ award, however his supporters were not very nice to me and my message which is same as everyone else. I got my head stepped on and I have a bit of a headache,” said Lauren Valle, MoveOn.org. The woman denied police were involved, but right afterwards officers pulled her aside to question her about the incident.
I am in agreement with John Hawkings on this one; I do not care who she is, or what she was doing —- stomping people’s noggins on the curb is not cool at all. I mean, I dislike liberals and progressives as much as the next Right Wing knucklehead; but this is totally unacceptable. These people have as much right to believe and the right to express the way they believe; no matter how ignorant and misinformed it might be. The is American, and curb stomping someone’s head, because you do not like what they are saying and might be doing — is on par with Nazi Germany! Just as unacceptable when Kenneth Gladney was roughed up by the SEIU guys. Both are wrong and both should be treated as a criminal event.

Rubio was responding to Governor Cristâs politically expedient âflip-flopsâ on the issues, when Governor Crist lost it and began a rant that was aimed to talk over Rubio, simply to try to muzzle Rubio from laying a smackdown on him by detailing the reasons for the Governorâs change in party affiliation and the notorious, well documented changes in his positions on the issues.
Rubio delivered the line of the campaign when he said that he had been heckled before from the audience, but never by one of his opponents on stage. Rubio called Crist a âhecklerâ several times during the exchange.

My feelings on the Iraq War Wikileaks dump
I have one thing to say about the dump by Wikileaks of documents related to the War in Iraq.
War —— is pure hell.
I did not agree with the decision to go into Iraq and I always knew —- always — that this stuff would eventually come out.
It does hurt our guys over there now; which is the goal of the rat bastard that is running the site. I loathe him with every fiber of my being.
However, I believe that this should a be lesson to those who are in places of influential power—- that they should think long and hard, the next time they try to persuade a President to go to war with a Country to further your own political agenda or foreign policy vision that you support. Going to war to support a Country with zero standing with the United Nations and who was illegally recognized by a sitting President —- always has disastrous results. You would have thought that these idiots would have learned that lesson during the Vietnam era — but, as they say, old dogs never learn new tricks. đ
It is a sad thing, but it was bound to happen — sooner or later.

In a taped soundbite during âHappening Now,â Williams explained how his NPR firing went down during a cell phone conversation with the head of news at NPR: âI said, âyou mean I donât get the chance to come in and do this eyeball-to-eyeball?â Iâve been there for more than 10 years.â TVNewser has learned from a Fox insider that SVP of News Michael Clemente conducted the interview.

NPR has terminated its contract with Juan Williams, one of its senior news analysts, after he made comments about Muslims on the Fox News Channel.
NPR said in a statement that it gave Mr. Williams notice of his termination on Wednesday night.

Mr. Williams said he concurred with Mr. OâReilly.
He continued: âI mean, look, Bill, Iâm not a bigot. You know the kind of books Iâve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.â
Mr. Williams also made reference to the Pakistani immigrant who pleaded guilty this month to trying to plant a car bomb in Times Square. âHe said the war with Muslims, Americaâs war is just beginning, first drop of blood. I donât think thereâs any way to get away from these facts,â Mr. Williams said.
NPR said in its statement that the remarks âwere inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.â
The public radio organization said it thanked him for many years of service. Mr. Williams did not immediately respond on Wednesday night to an e-mail seeking comment.
Mr. Williamsâs contributions on Fox raised eyebrows at NPR in the past. In February 2009, NPR said it had asked that he stop being identified on âThe OâReilly Factorâ as a âsenior correspondent for NPR,â even though that title was accurate.
Alicia C. Shepard, the NPR ombudswoman, said at the time that Mr. Williams was a âlightning rodâ for the public radio organization in part because he âtends to speak one way on NPR and another on Fox.â
Ms. Shepard said she had received 378 listener e-mails in 2008 listing complaints and frustrations about Mr. Williams.
The real sick part is? We fund that intolerance; yes, with our hard earned tax dollars. That is the part that really cheeses me off, NPR is a Government funded enterprise. It is also bastion of liberalism and has been, for years. That needs to stop.

We did have an incident of someone tearing down our fliers and lighting them on fire in one of the buildings, but they were luckily arrested for attempted arson.

TRENTON, Mich. – For the past few days, people haven’t been focused of Jennifer Petkov and that awful Facebook page. They’ve been focused on Kathleen Edward and showing her all of the support possible. However, it now appears Petkov’s alleged bad behavior has her right back in the spotlight and this time she could end up in jail.
“Last summer, she threatened me. Told me she was going to kill me,” said Tana Boling.

Petkov’s been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and reckless driving. Her family put up ten-percent of her $75,000 bond to get her out of jail. This time they weren’t willing to talk to the cameras, but instead of telling us that themselves, they called the cops to be their messengers.
Petkov’s lawyer tells FOX 2 this whole incident was blown way out of proportion and that the Petkovs have surveillance footage to prove it. He believes the footage will be enough to convince the prosecutor to drop the charges.
While he was not willing to show the video to FOX 2, Petkov family friend Jarred Hurd says he’s seen it.
“I think they have over-exaggerated a lot on it,” said Hurd. “The other neighbors make it out to seem like they’re horrible. They are not horrible people.”

We usually do not say, radical Japanese attacked us at Pearl Harbor, nor do we say that Germany under Hitler was radical Germany —- we just call them Germans. I ask you people, why the hell do we have to give the god damned Muslims in this Country some sort of god damned special treatment!?!?!?! Now the argument here is, that if you do not use the term “Radical Muslims”, that you imply that ALL Muslims are terrorists; to which I say, ever read their Koran? I am just saying….

Again, let me say, I agree with both of these people 100 percent; it was Muslims that attacked us on 9/11, it was not Christians, it was not Jews, it was not Hindus; it was Muslims. To say anything other than this, excuses the group that attacked us. What about so-called peace loving Muslims? Well, to that I say this, when the Muslim Community decides to confront, head on, the radical element within their own religion abroad and here in America —- then I might start making that distinction, until that starts happening, all bets are off.
Further more, let me get into something else here. This whole idea, by some, on the liberal left, that Bush did 9/11. Now to normal sane Americans; this idea that President George W. Bush caused or ordered the attacks on 9/11 is pure insanity. But to some of the left, it is a true fact. Honestly, only about 1% actually believe that Bush caused 9/11. The rest of the left, use that little line, out of anger — over losing the 2000 and 2004 elections. I ought to know, I used to vote Democrat, up until 2007, when I decided that the Democratic Party had went too far to the left for even my liking.
This whole idea that Bush caused 9/11 and Democrats calling for a formal investigation into events surrounding 9/11, and also the lead up to the Iraq War is nothing more than political retribution towards the Republican Party and towards George W. Bush —- because the Democrats lost 2000 and 2004. As you all know, in 2000, the Democrats ran an unelectable buffoon named Al Gore. In 2004, Same deal, different person. Losing both of those elections have burned Democrats for years. Hence the continued inferring that Bush caused 9/11. Plus, on top of that, there was the Iraq War; which was the liberal “cause” here, up until someone within the liberal establishment decided that the Iraq War was no longer worth making the entire liberal movement look stupid and they dropped it as a whole. Then there is the afghan war; which the opposition to it, has been rather muted. Because the liberal establishment knows that if they turn on that War that the Democratic Party to the rest of America, will look like the biggest bunch of hypocrites ever. Which they are, but I digress. Either way, these videos just show you; one, the hypocrisy of the liberals and two, how bad that the liberal movement has become, when it comes to freedom of speech.
Come November 2, I will either be voting for Libertarians or Republicans. I have no really decided which; at this point, I am most likely pulling the lever for the Republicans. Because we need to right the ship and the libertarians have never won anything at all, and I want to vote for a winner this time; especially here in Michigan. We have had enough of Democratic failure, me especially, being out of work since 2005, it does really suck. Instead of doing the normal blaming of the Republicans, like some people I know around here do, I am facing reality and saying that Granholm and her polices failed and am voting different.

Reason Magazine profiles Detroit, Here is what they missed
It seems that Reason Magazine has decided that it is Detroitâs time in the barrel.  They have produced a video detailing another rightfully named âBoondoggleâ of a light rail system. It appears that the funding for this project is coming from the United States Government and by proxy — yours and mine pocketbooks and Taxes.
I noticed in the video of theirs, that they used an old promo video, made in 1965 by the city of Detroit. For what it is worth; that video was made for the luring of the International Olympic Committee to Detroit; of which I am very to report that the committee saw right through that silly propaganda film and passed on Detroit. Which proves to this writer that the people at the Olympic committee are much smarter than the then Mayor of Detroit, gave them credit for being. I mean, could you have seen the Olympics being held in Detroit? The metals themselves would have never made it out alive. I could just see it now, âYour Medal, or your life cracka!â It is quite the horrifying thought actually.

Now for what they missed; in 1967 there was a horrific riot here in Detroit. It has been called the 1967 Detroit race riot. The riot itself was started after the City of Detroitâs Police Department raided an after-hours blind pig. Now, keep in mind, the police were simply doing their jobs.  They were tipped off to an illegal drinking establishment, which, for what it is worth —- only catered to black people; and they raided the place. During the raid, a scuffle broke out, between the police and the persons being raided, somehow during that scuffle; a police officerâs guns went off and thus gave catalyst to one of worst riots in the history of the Country —- not mention the city of Detroit —– a rumor. The rumor was that a black man that was arrested during raid of the blind pig was laying face down on the sidewalk, with his hands cuffed behind his back; was shot at point blank range in the back of the head, by a uniformed Detroit Police officer.
Now there is only one little inconvenient truth to this sickening and most awful rumor —- not a word of it was even remotely true. — It was this rumor, which was circulated among the Detroit black population, in a rather short amount of time; that was the proverbial kerosene on the bonfire for the City of Detroit in 1967 and as a result; all hell broke loose in Detroit. This was the result:

If I sat here and said that all of the above was done by blacks — I would be straight up lying to you. It has been widely reported around here, and there were outside forces that egged on, supported, and even contributed to the huge riot. Anarchists from various states were believed to have come to Detroit and joined in the riot —- we call those people libertarian leftists today. Although, I like to call these people something different —- Anti-American.

The riot stopped after the then Mayor of Detroit, Jerome Cavanagh, a Democrat, stopped cowering behind his desk, at the prospect of so many out of control blacks; and actually called the Governor of Michigan, George W. Romney, a Republican and begged for the National Guard to be brought in to stop the rioting.  Which is so typical of the liberal Democrats, they make a mess of things and then call in the adults to clean up the mess, which is what we have in Washington DC right now! Anyone who would doubt my words, I will personally give you the âreal worldâ tour of Detroit and show you just how bad the children Democrats have ruined that city. I ought to know, I did live there at one time, like many other people from this area.
It is fair to note, however, that the riot in Detroit was not the first one. There were actually three —- 1863, 1943, and 1967 respectively. They all had the same things in common; blacks who were under the impression that they were being oppressed somehow or another —- or as it is commonly known in proper English as being a selfish ingrate. I mean, we allowed them to migrate to Detroit from places like Alabama, where they were getting lynched on a regular basis, gave them jobs based on their skill levels; which were, honestly, not that very high — but yet, they were being oppressed by the white man. The blacks at time said that they wanted social justice, which means, in normal human speak, âI want what you have, but I do not want to have to actually earn it or work for it, I want it given to me.â This is pretty much the hallmark of the Democratic Party, is it not?
It happened around this time in 1967. Many of the white immigrants, who fled Germany and the surrounding countries, after the horrific collapse of the Weimar Republic began to really think that this whole idea of blacks and whites living in Detroit in sweet and loving harmony —- was nothing more than a pipe dream and began to flee the city Detroit. I kid you not; entire Churches, Synagogues, and Families — everything beat a path out of Detroit like cockroaches scattering in sudden daylight. Now, the Democrats have long said this was because these people were racist. However, let me ask you a question. If an angry black man came tearing up your street and wanted to toss a Molotov cocktail through the front window of your house or through the window of your store, for no reason other than a silly rumor — would you not have second thoughts about wanting to keep your store or possibly even your family in that city?  I think the answer to that question is obvious.
In closing, while the Reason Magazine video was great, it missed one important piece of the puzzle. Detroit did not just end up in its current condition for no reason; it had help and it was not an overnight thing, it has been happening for years. In addition, there is not one thing to blame, but a plethora of things to blame; politics, corruption, riots, unions — all of it have contributed to Detroitâs demise.  Not to mention race, it is a factor; but to scapegoat one race for the demise is wrong-headed. This is why the Neo-Nazi Klan hates me so much, because I disagree with and mock their folly with great joy.  In other words, not just blacks destroyed Detroit. It was all of races, taking what they could get for themselves and then fleeing to their perspective corners of the state and allowing the inner city to rot.  All the while painting over the rot and justifying it as some sort of community project. As they say, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig. You can put socialist programs into a city that is beyond saving; but the city, along with its rot and failures are still there. You would think that after some 43 years after those race riots; Detroitâs leadership and Michiganâs leadership would have figured that out by now.

Just a couple bones of contention with the above:
- Paul’s assertion that unborn life should be protected by the Federal Government is absurd. I do not believe that the Federal Government has the right or the obligation to protect much of anything at all; except those things outlined in the United States Constitution — nothing more, nothing less. What Dr. Paul is doing here is repeating the nonsense of the Christian Right. Which is, as far as this writer is concerned, pure rubbish. If people believe the practice of Abortion is such a horrific thing, let them rise up and organize, and challenge the STATES to outlaw the practice of abortion. Keep the Federal Government out of the business of the people’s bodies.
- Paul’s idea that we should eliminate all Government programs like Social Security, is unrealistic; and it would hurt people — like my parents, who paid into the program for years. Does Ron Paul want to harm my parents? I would hope not.
- Paul’s idea of trust and friendship with all Countries is naive at best. The inconvenient truth is that there are Countries and Regimes out there that want nothing more, than for the United States of America to be utterly and totally destroyed. Even China is now worrying the Military leaders, as there seems to be those within the Chinese Military who see the United States as an enemy. This should worry many Americans, as we do borrow large amounts of money from this Country. Let us also not forget what happened to John Birch in that Country as well. There is also the terrorism argument as well; but I am fully aware that much of that, is due to our foreign policy decisions of the past. However, for us to foolishly assume that if we tell Islamic terrorists that we do not wish to harm them, that they will not attack us again, would be an exercise in extreme stupidity.
- As a Paleo-Conservative type; I disagree with Ron Paul’s idea of unfettered Capitalism, AKA Globalism. I believe that globalism has hurt this Country, namely the economy here in the Detroit, Michigan area. TAFTA, NAFTA and all the rest of these idiotic free trade agreements should be repealed and heavy tariffs should be imposed on anyone that wishes to manufacture product outside of the United States of America and import it into this Country.
All of the rest, I pretty much agree with, especially when it comes to fiscal policy and the federal reserve.

This is the astonishing moment a book was apparently hurled at the head of U.S. President Barack Obama during a campaign rally in Philadelphia.
The flying missile narrowly missed hitting the President yesterday.
It is not clear what the book was, where it came from in the crowd, or why it was thrown at Mr Obama – who did not appear to notice the danger.
However, The Weekly Standard has the story:
If billionaire Alki David is an honest man, the man who streaked in front of Barack Obama at the presidentâs rally today in Philadelphia will be paid $1 million for his stunt. The man who performed todayâs stunt, which captured the attention of the Drudge Report and an Associated Press photographer, is 24-year-old Juan James Rodriguez, THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned.
David is a billionaire shipping and bottling magnate who is known to carry out stunts, mainly by paying others to perform them. As the The Sun reported on August 17: “A WACKY billionaire has offered $1million (ÂŁ638,700) to the first person who streaks in front of US President Barack Obama. Loaded Alki David has promised to pay out the cash â providing the streaker writes the name of his website ‘Battlecam’ across their chest.”
âWhen I see the video and itâs confirmed…it wonât be check [that he sends], it will be cash,â David, reached by phone tonight, told THE WEEKLY STANDARD.
The requirements of the streaking stunt, David told me, are that the streaker must have been within âeye-shot and ear shot of the president, they have to scream the name âbattlecam.comâ six times, and they have to be nude.â
Two men involved in the stunt, Glen Zolar and Joey âBootsâ Bassolino, assured THE WEEKLY STANDARD that Rodriguez met the requirements.
Zolar, who spoke with me on the phone earlier tonight, is a moderator on battlecam.com. Zolar was cruising the website when Rodriguez contacted him and asked whether heâd be able to facilitate this stunt. Seeking personal gain â primarily, monetary gain â Zolar agreed.
When asked how much he would get paid from Rodriguezâs payout, Zolar said, âIâd rather not disclose the figure, but it would definitely be more than $5,000 ⌠and less than $25,000.â
Zolar says he has done freelance producing for the Howard Stern Show. Bassolino is a frequent guest on the show, which is well-known for conducting stunts just like the one carried out today in Philadelphia. Zolar asked Bassolino to film the stunt this evening. The two say it has been recorded but has not yet been broadcast on the website. No payment has yet been made, and though it has not yet been given Davidâs approval, it appears Rodriguez met all of David’s requirements.
âI am on the record as saying that it needed to be done in a place where itâs legal to be nude,â David said. But âitâs a suggestion, not a rule.â
Wow. What some people will do for their 15 minutes of fame and a little money. Unbelievable. đ
