When I am wrong, I am wrong and I was

Here I go, eating crow again! I wrote this on back on November 15, 2008:

Okay, here’s what is wrong with that up there. To infer that George W. Bush’s Administration and the Administration of President-Elect Barack Obama will be exactly the same, as much as I hate to say this about Mr. Rockwell; is just beyond crazy. Because we are talking about two totally different people; politically, ideologically and personally. I regret to say this, but for all of George W. Bush’s faults; the war, the scandals, everything — I have a real hard time sitting here and believing that he was an Imperialist, yes, he did have a very flawed vision of what he wished to accomplish in the middle east. Yes, he did take some advice from the likes of John and Neil Podhoretz. Yes, it was advice that ended up doing the President more harm that it did good in the end, politically. But to infer that he was a blind imperialist, is borderline Alex Jones sounding.

Believe me when I say this, I am about as a non-Bush fan as it comes, but I just cannot buy into the whole idea that Bush is some sort of Imperialist, being driven by some evil machine. Nor can I, with my normal functioning brain, sit here and believe that Barack Obama will do the exact same things as Bush. I just cannot do that. Because Barack Obama and the Democrats follow a totally different Political ideology than the Republicans. Now before anyone screams about the bailouts, I am fully aware of how Bush basically tossed fiscal Conservatism under the bus. I was not very happy about that. I also noticed that the bailout plan that he signed unto, has failed. But the truth is, he was forced into that, because he was told by the “so-called” experts, that it would work. Now it seems that the “experts” were wrong.

What I am basically trying to get at here is this. If the old school Conservatives or Paleo-Conservatives, and the Libertarians want to be taken serious by the rest of the Conservative movement and the Republican Party as a whole, they need to seriously look into stopping with the Alex Jones material and stick with policy and reality. Because not everyone buys into some of the sillier nonsense that I have seen within them circles. Not only this, but they need to really get away from the abject racism that I have, in fact, seen posted on some of their Blogs.

I do not believe that I was totally wrong about President Bush. But it is very clear now that I and a good number of other people; were wrong about President Barack Obama’s foreign policy. It made sense to me at the time. I really did not think President Obama to be a “warmonger” President. However, it does sadden me; that President Obama has basically done what Bush did, listening to the Neo-Conservatives and followed their advice.

Unlike the Jacobin Democrats who have invaded the Republican Party and that flatly refuse to be held responsible for their actions in the Arab World. I do accept mine and I apologize for even doubting for a minute that a Neo-Liberal would be any different from the previous Neo-Conservative President. So, yeah, I screw the pooch here; in a very big way.

Again, I do not claim to be an absolute authority on anything at all; least of all politics. In fact, I never really claimed to be an authority. Just an opinion guy.

There’s a distinct possibility the U.S. stock market could plunge as much as 6,000 points if the U.S. continues to rack up record amounts of debt, causing the dollar to lose its reserve currency status, says Daily Ticker favorite Howard Davidowitz. (See video below)

“The dollar has never been at greater risk,” he tells Henry in the accompanying clip. Davidowitz is confident that if Washington doesn’t cool its spending habits, interest rates will spike and inflation will soar. Look at the value of the dollar, and the crisis is already brewing, with foreigners and sovereign nations diversifying away from dollar-denominated assets, he says.

What’s an investor to do in this scenario?

Buy hard assets, he suggests. Davidowitz says investors should own physical gold, silver and diamonds. He also thinks land is a winning bet, even suggesting young adults buy and work farmland. “I think investment in farmland with water on it is a great investment. Finance will be less important,” in the future, he says.

Sounds like a good time to buy gold to me!

The Feckless Far Right: Exhibit B for Bigotry

The reason I am not very well liked in the Conservative Blogosphere, is because I dare to write stuff like this. I am sorry, but if this below is what the Far-Right in America is all about; then consider me to be a bit more moderate. Sorry, but this is just wrong, on many levels:

The First Amendment was written by the Founders to protect the free exercise of Christianity. They were making no effort to give special protections to Islam. Quite the contrary. We actually at the time were dealing with our first encounters with jihad in the form of the Barbary Pirates, which is why Jefferson bought a copy of the Koran. He was told by the Bey of Tripoli that Islam requires Muslims to rob, kill and pillage infidel Christians wherever they find them. Jefferson naturally found that hard to believe, so he bought a copy of the Koran to read it for himself. Sure enough, it’s right in there, in the 109 verses of the Koran that call for violence against the infidels. Islam has no fundamental First Amendment claims, for the simple reason that it was not written to protect the religion of Islam. Islam is entitled only to the religious liberty we extend to it out of courtesy. While there certainly ought to be a presumption of religious liberty for non-Christian religious traditions in America, the Founders were not writing a suicide pact when they wrote the First Amendment. Our government has no obligation to allow a treasonous ideology to receive special protections in America, but this is exactly what the Democrats are trying to do right now with Islam.

What you are seeing above; is nothing more than racial and religious bigotry. What if you took out the words Islam and Muslims; and put in the words Jews or Catholics —– or even the word Negros? There would be a massive outcry of Biblical proportions. But because it is some so-called “Christian” speaking of Muslims, it is perfectly fine. 🙄  Wait, What? As I have said before; religious and racial bigotry are wrong; no matter whom is doing it and/or whom the victims are — whether it be black, Jew, latino and whatever else. Whenever we try to pit one against another; whether by class, race, or even Religion — we undermine the very basis for what this Country was founded upon.

If that was not bad enough; we have this pony-tailed idiot here, trying to smear ALL Republicans or Conservatives as agreeing with the guy:

Alright Johnson, I am not letting you get away with this one. How dare you smear me!?!?! It just so happens that I voted libertarian in the 2008 election and for the very first time; since I have been eligible to vote, I actually voted Republican in the 2010 elections. (Much to the chagrin of my Democratic Party voting parents….)  I want it to be publicly known; that I DO NOT AGREE at all, with this man’s opinion about Islam or Muslims. I personally believe that the first amendment applies to ALL, not just some; but everyone. Indeed, I have expressed reservations about Radical Islam. However, I disagree with the assertion that ALL Muslims are terrorists. That is nothing more than bigotry. I think Charles Johnson knows better than this; however, I believe he is trying to appeal to his reading audience. It is too bad too, because when you do this, you lose whatever credibility you ever had.

Now, let me be clear; I do agree with the fact that some people in the Republican Party do cater to this guy; and it is quite sad. However to imply or out right say that everyone who votes Republican agrees with these extremist views — is quite idiotic.

I think Charles Johnson needs to rethink collectivist stance a bit. Because it is making him look an an utter buffoon.

Please God NO!: The Republican Party’s resident psycho lunch lady, Michelle Bachmann, wants to run for President

Oh my, her? Dear God, please…. No.

Washington (CNN) – CNN has exclusively learned that Rep. Michele Bachmann will form a presidential exploratory committee. The Minnesota Republican plans to file papers for the committee in early June, with an announcement likely around that same time.

But a source close to the congresswoman said that Bachmann could form the exploratory committee even earlier than June so that she could participate in early Republican presidential debates.

“She’s been telling everyone early summer,” the source told CNN regarding Bachmann’s planned June filing and announcement. But the source said that nothing is static.

“If you [debate sponsors] come to us and say, ‘To be in our debates, you have to have an exploratory committee,’ then we’ll say, ‘Okay, fine…I’ll go file the forms.'”

Three GOP presidential primary debates are planned before and during early June: The first one on May 2 at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California and another on May 5 in South Carolina. CNN plans a GOP presidential primary debate in New Hampshire in early June.

Meanwhile, CNN has also learned that Iowa Republican state Sen. Kent Sorenson will likely be hired to be Bachmann’s political director for the state – and that Bachmann aides hope to have a complete team together for Iowa by this weekend.

Well, it has finally happened; an increasingly irrelevant President is basically sending our American Military into harms way — to defend oil.  This after realizing that his words; were damned useless.

When I started blogging in 2006. I do so, because I was angry about the sloppy handling of the Iraq War; and to speak out against; what I felt was an unjustified invasion of a sovereign nation.  My views on war, have not changed, one lousy damned iota. I believe in justified war and use of Military action. This stupidity is not justified, at all.  It is; again, just the United States wanting to protect oil plants in Libya. Just like George W. Bush did, in Iraq.  The silence of the liberal left; and the Anti-War movement —- is deafening. After all, Libyan rebels told us to stay out of the conflict.

Having said that, I present this:

A homemade incendiary device was thrown at one of the participants of the 40 Days for Life pro-life prayer vigil at an abortion business in Kalispell, Montana on Thursday night.The woman walked on the public sidewalk near the abortion business when an unidentified person threw the device — akin to a “Molotov cocktail” — in her direction. The woman did not see either the firebomb nor the assailant it exploded on the sidewalk behind her, making a loud popping noise like a big firecracker as it burst into flame. Fortunately, the woman was not hurt in the incident.After she regained her composure, the victim called Karen Trierweiler, coordinator of the 40 Days prayer vigils in Kalispell at the Karen Trierweiler, coordinator of the 40 Days prayer vigils in Kalispell over to her.After a lengthy delay, a Kalispell police officer arrived. However, according to officials with the Thomas More Society, a pro-life legal group that is helping the participants, instead of inspecting the bomb debris or calling evidence technicians to the scene, the officer remarked that police could never get prints or other evidence from the bomb’s remains and said he would call the city’s garbage service to dispose of all the debris.The officer then said that the 40 Days prayer vigil participants should expect this kind of reaction if they’re protesting at the abortion business. Questioning Officer Hoover’s assessment of the attack, Trierweiler called the Kalispell desk sergeant to complain, where she was unable to get further assistance.

Before I pose my question to the pro-choice crowd, let me make the following things clear:

As a Conservative Christian:

I feel that abortion is a murder. end of discussion. “Thou Shalt not Kill” was a commandment for God Himself.

I feel that life begins at conception, and I do not believe that man has to right to kill, what God has created.

However, As a Libertarian Conservative and as a Federalist:

I feel that the United States Federal Government should NOT be in the business of telling woman what to do with their bodies.

I feel that if the Pro-Life crowd wants to stop the barbaric practice of abortion; that these people should appeal to their STATE Government and demand that they outlaw the practice of Abortion.

Having Said all of the above. I pose the following question to the “Pro-Choice” crowd:

Does committing acts of terrorism toward those of whom you disagree, really help your cause? I mean, has the pro-choice, liberal left in this Country gotten to the point of being so intolerant, that they now resort to acts of violence?

As a former, “Left of Center” and Former Democratic Party voter; it very highly disheartens me to see that now the liberal left, is now resorting to violence to reinforce their message. This is directly in opposition to the message of peace; which the Democratic Party was about, at least when I was voting for them. I mean, I quite vividly remember the liberal left literally going to pieces over the Iraq War and basically screaming “Peace!” at the top of their lungs.  But then, they do this? Someone needs to reexamine their message, quite a bit.

Now Listen.

Please, do not misunderstand me; I do not blame the entire Democratic Party, for the actions of a few. But, I believe that activists on the left need to really think about the message that they are sending to America and to the World. Do you encourage violence to get your message across? Do you believe in hurting those of which you disagree?

My Point to all of this is…..:

Those are the questions I want to see answered. Because I will give the Democratic Party a warning; from this writer. As someone who once voted for your party —- If this is the message that you are sending to America; that we plan on using force against those who dare dissent; you can forget about this independent ever voting for you again, ever. Because I simply know, that this is what Communist Russia AND Hitler’s Nazi Party did to those who dared to dissent. Does anyone on the left, remember the White Rose Society?  Does anyone remember what they stood for? Instead, it seems that the Left has come to want a top down style of rule, that oppresses with violence those who dissent. This is not what the founding principles of the Democratic Party ever were, ever.

If I were Shankman; I would be seriously looking over my shoulder, because I happen to believe that there is a thing called consequences of action. You write something stupid like that; you reap the consequences of your stupid actions.

As I told Dan on his blog — I did some digging here; via some tools of mine and the name Jim Shankman turns up nil in Madison, Wisconsin. Whoever this dude is; he should be tossed in jail for making threats via the internet. Much has changed over the past 20 or so years. Threatening someone over the ‘net, is as bad actually doing something to someone personally now.

I also read, that he is unemployed. Big surprise there. 🙄  He can count on staying unemployed; because the first time some employer looks this guy up on Google, this will come up. Especially on my blog. Thank the Lord for SEO plug-ins for WordPress. 😀 Don’t misunderstand me; I am not exactly gainfully employed either; but I do not go around protesting and threatening Conservative Bloggers either! If I had the guys address; I would be posting it here. As someone’s who’s been outed before. I have no problem outing this idiot. Unlike me, he actually deserves it.

 

 

 

 

 

It all goes back to the Federal Reserve

I thought I would share this one with you all.

It seems that food prices are going up. I spotted this blog posting over at HotAir.com; which is, a Neo-Conservative Blog. Anyhow, Ed Morrissey points out that food prices are going up. Ed points to this story by the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Wholesale prices jumped last month by the most in nearly two years due to higher energy costs and the steepest rise in food prices in 36 years. Excluding those volatile categories, inflation was tame.

The Labor Department said Wednesday that the Producer Price Index rose a seasonally adjusted 1.6 percent in February — double the 0.8 percent rise in the previous month. Outside of food and energy costs, the core index ticked up 0.2 percent, less than January’s 0.5 percent rise.

Food prices soared 3.9 percent last month, the biggest gain since November 1974. Most of that increase was due to a sharp rise in vegetable costs, which increased nearly 50 percent. That was the most in almost a year. Meat and dairy products also rose.

Energy prices rose 3.3 percent last month, led by a 3.7 percent increase in gasoline costs.

Separately, the Commerce Department said home construction plunged to a seasonally adjusted 479,000 homes last month, down 22.5 percent from the previous month. It was lowest level since April 2009, and the second-lowest on records dating back more than a half-century.

The building pace is far below the 1.2 million units a year that economists consider healthy.

There was little sign of inflationary pressures outside of food and energy. Core prices have increased 1.8 percent in the past 12 months.

Still consumers are paying more for the basic necessities.

Why is it that prices are going up? Well, I can tell you why…. It’s called inflation. Something this guy here has been talking about for years:

Of course, Ed Morrissey, tries to credit the shrieking harpy and two bit phony Sarah Palin for this; but we thinking Americans know better. Sarah Palin most likely cannot even program her own VCR, much less understand the workings of the Federal Reserve. Ron Paul was saying this sort of stuff, when Sarah Palin was still playing with dolls and dreaming of being someone in politics as a child.

Scott Johnson over at Powerline, smartly and very accurately points to the federal reserve bank for this rise in food costs, he also points to a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed that warned of this sort of a thing happening. Yes, I know, Powerline Blog is decidedly Neo-Conservative; but when it comes to this sort of stuff, those guys are in the right frame of mind. I just wish I could convince them that imperialism is a sad mistake —- As are unconstitutionally declared wars.

It also turns out, that the Federal Reserve Bank is not the only part of the Federal Government that is a danger to it’s citizens. There is also other things that we should be, as citizens, worried about; like the ill-conceived and improperly named “Patriot Act.” As this video shows, that act is being used against citizens in a very bad way: (H/T RTR.Org)

The part about the raid on Walter Reddy, the founder of the modern Committees of Safety is in this video. I do encourage you all to watch it. If this man’s story is true. If someone does not like you; they can go to your local police department and makes up actual lies about you and cause the police to conduct a raid on your home. That my friends, is insanity.

Stupid: Federal Court rules that Colorado Man Can Sue Secret Service

My God, how stupid can the leftist fools be?

DENVER — A Colorado man can sue two Secret Service agents who arrested him after he touched former Vice President Dick Cheney on the arm in 2006 and told him his Iraq War policies were “disgusting,” a federal appeals court ruled Monday.The ruling means Steven Howards can try to subpoena Cheney to testify about the incident, said David Lane, Howards’ attorney.”I fully intend on deposing the former vice president,” Lane told The Associated Press.Lane has been trying for years to subpoena Cheney, but his motion has been delayed as judges weighed the question of whether the Secret Service agents were immune in the case. He has said he wants to subpoena the former vice president because he’s “the best eyewitness to the case.”

This is why this strikes me as incredibly stupid; for one, this man made a choice to break the law and try to grab the former Vice President — to make a political statement. For two; now he is trying to capitalize on this incident and sue the Secret Service and the Government by proxy. In short; the man is nothing more than some leech, who wants to make a quick buck on the backs of the American people. Not to mention make a stupid political point.

Either way, I hope like hell that the courts toss this idiot’s case out. Because he does not deserve anything at all. Except maybe a swift kick in the butt. 😡

So, the next time some idiot liberal Democrat tries to tell you how horrible we Capitalist Conservative Christians are; show ’em this, please. I mean, I would rather be some money grubbing capitalist, than to be trying to make a quick buck on the back of the American people; and for what? To make a rather idiotic political point? How stupid. 🙄

….and I say this, as someone who was not too keen on Bush and Co’s polices either…..

You’d think, nearly a decade after the events of Tora Bora, that Mr. Rumsfeld would understand the extent of the error and the breadth of its implications. He does not. Needless to say, Tora Bora was the fault of someone else—Gen. Franks of course, and CIA Director George Tenet. “Franks had to determine whether attempting to apprehend one man on the run” was “worth the risks.” Needless to say “there were numerous operational details.” And of course, in a typical Rumsfeldian touch, he says he later learned CIA operatives on the ground had asked for help, but “I never received such a request from either Franks or Tenet and cannot imagine denying it if I had.” I can.

Osama bin Laden was not “one man on the run.” He is the man who did 9/11. He had just killed almost 3,000 people at the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon, in a field in Pennsylvania. He’s the reason people held hands and jumped off the buildings. He’s the reason the towers groaned to the ground.

It is the great scandal of the wars of the Bush era that the U.S. government failed to get him and bring him to justice. It is the shame of this book that Don Rumsfeld lacks the brains to see it, or the guts to admit it.

Allow me to remind this dirtball piece of crap of something. 9/11 was not just an attack on all Americans. It was an attack on MOSTLY WHITE CHRISTIAN AMERICANS!

As of August 16, 2002, a total of 2,726 death certificates related to the WTC attacks had been filed. All but 13 persons died on September 11; of the 13 persons who were injured on September 11 and died subsequently, three persons died in other states, one each in Massachusetts, Missouri, and New Jersey. Of these 2,726 decedents, 2,103 (77%) were males and 623 (23%) were females. The median age for these decedents was 39 years (range: 2–85 years); the median age was 38 years for females (range: 2–81 years) and 39 years for males (range: 3–85 years). Three persons were aged <5 years, and three were aged >80 years. These data represent 97% of the estimated 2,819 WTC deaths; fewer death certificates have been issued than the estimated number of decedents because some families have not yet requested certificates, and investigations into several requests are still in progress.

Of these 2,726 decedents, 1,659 (61%) were non-Hispanic white males, 407 (15%) were non-Hispanic white females, 177 (6%) were Hispanic males, 81 (3%) were Hispanic females, 136 (5%) were non-Hispanic black males, 79 (3%) non-Hispanic black females, 122 (4%) were Asian/Pacific Islander (API) males, and 54 (2%) were API females. A total of 1,837 (67%) had graduated from college or had postgraduate education (males, 69%; females, 63%) (Table 1).

A total of 2,158 (79%) decedents were born in the 50 U.S. states, compared with 59% of the NYC population (1). A total of 568 (21%) decedents were born outside the 50 states, including the United Kingdom (n=56), India (n=36), Puerto Rico (n=34), the Dominican Republic (n=26), and Japan (n=25). By place of residence, as reported on the death certificates, 1,169 (43%) decedents were residents of NYC, 593 (22%) were residents elsewhere in New York (NY) state, and 674 (25%) were residents of New Jersey (Table 2). A total of 27 (1%) were residents of foreign countries. A total of 90 decedents were residents of Massachusetts, the origin of the two airplanes that struck the WTC, and 29 were residents of California, the destination of the flights.?

So, Senator Ellison, spare me okay? Because your tears mean nothing to this Christian. When your religion decided to declare war on America; your right to bitch ended. So, yeah, one of yours ended up being killed; big farking deal!

More Christian White Americans died in the attacks; than any other race or religion. So, it only seem natural that those people would want to protect themselves, from crazies in the Islamic movement. It comes with the territory. You don’t like it Mr. Ellison? There is always Mecca sir! 😡

Update: I figure I will head my critics off at the pass. I know some of them simple minded buffoons will say, “Hey what about this?” To which I say, “What about it?” These hearings are not about hate. These hearings around about the safety of our damned Country. As I said on my “About this Blog” page; I know that radical Islam is a problem; and yes folks, it is. Having hearings on the threat of Radical Islam is NOT racism at all and anyone who says it is; is nothing more than a race-baiting buffoon. I agree, we should be having hearings about radical elements within other Religions and political groups as well. In fact, I look for someone to bring them up. In my personal eyes, terrorism is terrorism. No matter if it is in the name of Allah or in the name of White Nationalism; it is all the same to me. The reason I hammered Rep. Keith Ellison, is because he is simply trying to cop a “You’re picking on me!” plea and it is not working, as Ed Morrissey pointed out, so very well.

My feelings about the so-called civility “New Tone” stupidity aside; this blogger does very much have a good point.

Now, this is not to say that there is not extremists on the left; there are. However, I do believe that there are radical elements to the far right, White Nationalist, part of the Conservative movement. Some of them showed up at CPAC and were chased off.  Some of them are of the Paleo-Conservative mindset and most of them are of the conspiratorial mindset. Which is not against the law; however, when you make a personal decision to use that mindset to commit crimes against other people, you lose your rights. Having an opinion is one thing; using that opinion to commit acts of violence against others is another entirely.

We as Conservatives; whether Neo-Conservative or Paleo-Conservative — who believe that Freedom and Liberty extends to EVERYONE; Black, White, Hispanic, Arab and every other damned race — should stand fast against these people and if you get wind of extremist activities; report them at once.

As it says on the video on the “About This Blog” page; anyone, and I mean anyone, who attempts to divide the American people by class warfare, racism, or Religion — seeks to destroy the very freedoms that the founding fathers fought for and won.

As much as I hate say it; he does have a point. There are those on the right, who try and pretend that there is not radical element to the right. Let me say this; as a Conservative blogger, who is of the Paleo-Conservative/libertarian slant — yes, there are extremist and yes, even hate-filled corners within our movement and every now and again, as demonstrated in that link above, they do tend to act out. Which is sad, because those people totally miss the point of freedom and and Conservatism. 

Bottom Line: We’re not all crazy. But we do have crazies in our midst.
