Go figure: Tea Party Group cleans up after union protesters in Wisconsin
This is via Breitbart:
Again, I say…. go figure.
(H/T Hotair headlines)

UPDATE Via Nice Deb:
Although this post wasn’t supposed to be more about the tea partiers than about the cost of the clean-up, some commenters seem fixated on the “high-end” estimate made by state officials.
So I feel it’s necessary to mention that they have indeed come out with a revised estimate since that initial report:
MADISON – State officials have the revised the estimated price tag of cleanup at the Capitol.
Yesterday, officials said the job could cost more than $7 million dollars. Now they’re saying it could cost as little as $350,000.
The concern is over reside left behind by protestors inside the historic building over the last three weeks, specifically, adhesive from posters taped to the Capitol’s stone, marble and wood surfaces.
Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch is now saying that was a high-end estimate.
***
Still, the head of a masonry company that has done work to the Capitol in the past, says $7 million dollars wasn’t so far off the mark. Jim Durham of Quarra Stone says you can’t just use household cleaners in the historic building:
“It’s going to soak up hand prints, oil from your skin. It’s going to soak up the adhesives of the tape.”
A painter’s union has stepped up and offered to clean up the Capitol for free. The painter union deserves major kudos for offering their help for free, too. Especially since it seems the work they will be doing is the more expensive labor.
Agreed. But the mess should have never been made, in the first damned place; idiot assholes. 😡
Video: FleeBagging, The Musical?!?!
Man, I’ve seen some seriously strange stuff in blogging in my days; but this is some seriously weird stuff here!
The Video: (Warning! This video may cause dogs and yes, maybe cats to want to drag their butts on the floor and quite possibly want to howl, scream, and other such stuff…)

That my friends is the formal definition…. of torture. Waterboarding?!?! Ha! Put the terrorists in a cell and play this, over and over and over…. they’ll tell everything they know and most likely make up a few as they go along! 😀 😉 😛 😆 😮 😯
Remember what I said about… prayer? Yes, Please, much of that… much!
The Thursday Night Mental Health Break: Night Ranger
Admittedly, this not my first band of choice. This is what I call “Chick Rock” from the 1980’s. But the theme fits perfectly.
Enjoy:
I have to confess, that I very highly doubt that this sort of Pro-American imagery would have flown in this day and age of Anti-Americanism in the entertainment industry today.

Video: Blowback from 9/11
The reason why I am posting this, is because I feel it needs to be shown. Andrew Sullivan and Digby the owner of the progressive blog Hullabaloo say this is hate and by definition, yes it is. However, I think more broadly, it is simply blowback; which is an C.I.A. term, from what happened on 9/11. Not only that, these people are simply fed up, with all the recent acts of terrorism happening in America and elsewhere, people are just simply fed up to their wits end.
Again, I do not justify these actions, at all. I simply think progressive liberals need to understand, that people are just fed up.
More than anything else, this just gets up my libertarian nose a bit. What if those were blacks? Ya know? I’m just sayin’

The Sunday Night Mental Health Break: Black Sabbath
This called “Killing yourself to Live,” sort of sounds like what’s happening here in America, does it not?
Lyrics:
“Killing Yourself To Live”
Well people look and people stare
Well I don’t think that I even care
You work your life away and what do they give?
You’re only killing yourself to live
Killing yourself to live
Killing yourself to live
Just take a look around you what do you see
Pain, suffering, and misery
It’s not the way that the world was meant
It’s a pity you don’t understand
Killing yourself to live
Killing yourself to live
I’m telling you
Believe in me
Nobody else will tell you
Open your eyes
And see the lies, oh yeah
You think I’m crazy and baby
I know that it’s true
Before that you know it I think
That you’ll go crazy too
I don’t know if I’m up or down
Whether black is white or blue is brown
The colors of my life are all different somehow
Little boy blue’s a big girl now
So you think it’s me who’s strange
But you’ve never had to make the change
Never give your trust away
You’ll end up paying till your dying day
UPDATED: I am no Tabitha Hale fan, at all; But this is Bullcrap – Tabitha Hale speaks out on her attack!
Believe me, when I tell you. I am not a big fan of Tabitha Hale; she just did not make a big impression on me at all. Might be because of silly photos like this here. Not that a I hate her or anything; just with me, first impressions are everything, and she did not really impress me much.
Having said all that, Tabitha Hale got roughed up a bit. Michelle Malkin has the story:
This is Tabitha Hale, a young conservative activist/original Tea Party organizer/blogger who works for Washington, D.C.-based FreedomWorks. I know her from her great grass-roots work with Smart Girl Politics when the Tea Party movement was just emerging.
Today, Big Labor groups took their Grievance March to the offices of FreedomWorks.
Among the groups protesting: the Communications Workers of America. They’re one of the heavyweight labor biggies that have received a coveted Obamacare Waiver for Favors. CWA facts here.
Video of the assault:
Only defense is I have for the guy is this; he did not want to be taped and he slapped the camera. It is considered assault and I would have been calling the police, or better yet, I would have been kicking the guys ass. This is why I advocate going to these events armed, or if you know one of these is showing up. I would have armed to tooth and would have exercised my second amendment rights on his head with my glock. I do not advocate just shooting someone —- just to be shooting someone or murder — but I do advocate defense; and in this case, this mans killing would have been justified.
Like I said, I do not hate the lady or anything, but her silly looking photos did not impress me one bit.
This must be more of that liberal civility we have been hearing about, right? 🙄

Update: Tabitha Hale speaks out on her attack:
I’m a 5?1 female in a dress, and he was standing up on a garden wall above me in the courtyard. He hardly felt threatened. I was stunned, because generally protesters are there to, you know, get their message out. They don’t normally shy away from the camera.
I’m very much okay, and very appreciative of the support from my fellow bloggers and activists today. I am, however, shaken up by the level of sheer hatred I experienced today. The look of fury on his face in the close up is appalling. I had not exchanged a word with him. He didn’t know who I was. He didn’t even know my name, what I do. He had probably surmised that I was with FreedomWorks and that was enough.
This just can’t be tolerated anymore. It’s one thing to be called a violent teabagger. It’s another to be called a violent teabagger while you’re being assaulted. They’ve been comparing themselves to the Egyptians ousting Mubarak. Looks like they’re not too far off, given that they share the tendency to assault women with cameras.
In addition, it’s disgusting to me that the first response I received from the Left was rationalization. “You were too close, respect personal space” and “well he obviously didn’t want to be filmed!” – essentially, it’s the “her skirt was too short” defense. No one deserves to be hit. The concern from a bystander was that “You’ll get on the news, stop it!” Unfortunately for him, he did not know who he was dealing with. I will ensure that this happens.
I was not asking for this. There was no confrontation between the thug and myself prior to this. He had not asked me to put the camera away. I was not as close as the video implies (it was cropped from a vertical iPhone video so it would fit on youtube). I was simply filming a protest, as I have done for the past two years. Amazingly enough, none of those crazy right wing extremists ever hit me.
At this point, I’m grateful we moved to a higher security building last month. For a bunch of violent racists, the Left sure seems to be comfortable threatening and attacking us.
We must really suck as bullies.
First of all, I do not know who the hell she thinks she’s calling someone on the left, and second of all; my feeling is, you can’t take the damned heat, then stay out of the kitchen. Also too, thanks for reminding us, that your a poor innocent little girl, we needed that. If Freedom Works is so damned worried about security, why was not the police called and a report filed, why were there no people there armed to make sure nothing like that happened? I will tell you why; because it is all about publicity; Tabitha’s and more broadly Freedom Work’s. This Video will get circulated and more people will feel sorry for Tabitha and money will flow, it is a classic strategy.
…and lastly, No Tabitha, you do not suck as a bully; but you sure do suck at sob stories and at being a political pawn.

The Late Night Music Express Presents: The Jeff Beck Group
This first one is really cool. The piano solo at the beginning is a bit long… But once it gets gone; hang on to your hat! Classic Rock at its most raw, powerful and loud. How live music should be:
This next one, sounds like the original, and sort of doesn’t. The original singer on this was Rod Stewart; I think this version holds up rather well; some great drumming on this one too. The drummer does a quick, fast, triplet on this one… I wish I could do them like that! 😀 (yes, I am a drummer, but I don’t do triplets like that!)

I do not much care for Country Music, especially this Young Country crap. (I do however, enjoy old school, classic Country Music!) But this, is awesome:

Video: The Reality Report: Taking the Neo-Conservatives to the mat!
In this space, before I post this video; I usually post a disclaimer, because usually, I do not agree with some of the content and ideas presented in this Video report. However, this week, I am going to forgo the disclaimer. Because a good ninety percent of what is presented here, I absolutely agree with and besides, nothing gives me more joy, than to watch freedom-loving Americans making Neo-Conservative fascists look like the damn fools that they are. Yes, it warms the cackles of my stone cold heart to see those who wish to sell our freedoms out to the altar of “Security” made to look like buffoons.
Very well done gents, very, very, well done. 😀

Video: Michael Vick is still an unrepentant A$$hole
This comes via HotAir.com, it’s obligatory as hell; but you know what? This self-consumed prick has it coming:

Either way, Michael Vick has not changed a bit.
Video: Don Rumsfield on 9/11, Iraq, Afghanistan, and More
Some good video here:
The Story via ABC NEWS:
More than four years after leaving public life, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld continues to believe the war in Iraq was worth the effort, and has no apologies for his decision-making in leading the campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq.
In an exclusive interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, Rumsfeld concedes that “it’s possible” that decisions on how many troops to send into Iraq marked the biggest mistake of the war.
“In a war, many things cost lives,” Rumsfeld told Sawyer.
Pressed on the fact that President Bush has written that cutting troop levels in Iraq was “the most important failure in the execution of the war,” Rumsfeld called that “interesting.”
I do not much care for the man. He is, in my humble opinion, an ignoramus. But he does have his opinions and he is a human being.

The Morning Mental Health Break: Thin Lizzy
This one is dedicated to the memory of Gary Moore, who we lost yesterday:
The renowned rock guitarist Gary Moore has died in a hotel room while on holiday in Spain.
Moore, 58, originally from Belfast, was a former member of the legendary Irish group Thin Lizzy.
Thin Lizzy manager Adam Parsons told the BBC he was found early on Sunday.
Moore was originally drafted into Thin Lizzy by its late frontman Phil Lynott. He later gained acclaim for his solo work and was a former member of the Irish group Skid Row.
The Northern Ireland guitarist was only 16 when he moved from Belfast to Dublin in 1969, to join Skid Row, which featured Lynott as lead vocalist.
He was later brought into Thin Lizzy by Lynott to replace the departing Eric Bell, another guitarist from Northern Ireland.
Lynott died in 1986 but a new line-up of Thin Lizzy continues to tour.
Bell told the BBC on Sunday he was still “in shock” at Moore’s death in the Costa del Sol.
“I still can’t believe it,” he said.
“He was so robust, he wasn’t a rock casualty, he was a healthy guy.
This news is very sad personally, being about the same age and growing up with his music from his days with Skid Row and Thin Lizzy. However, it was his guitar virtuosity that appealed to me the most, as it did to many others.
Thus another person and a piece of my youth has departed this mortal plane. As one commenter on another site stated, “God needed a lead guitarist for a new band.” If that is so, he couldn’t have chosen any better.
Godspeed Gary Moore. Your talent and passion will be missed greatly.
Greg over a Greg’s Opinion sums it up rather nicely:
One of the many guitar players I learned from, ripped off, and wished I could play half as good as. Much of the appreciation for melodic solos can be heard in a lot of his early-mid-80s solo work.
I believe that about sums it up. I also play guitar; and when I saw the headline, I let out a gasp and a “Oh no!”
Gary Moore joins the line of great guitar players that we have lost — Hendrix, Terry Kath, and many others.
I am also a guitar player and this one was a shock 😮 and so very sad. 😥

We also look at Senator Chuck Schumer failing miserably while explaining the three branches of government. Beautiful words are uttered from the lips of the Florida attorney general about Obamacare. President and founder of Freedom Law School, Peymon Montehedeh, gives us the details on this years’ Freedom Conference, and we announce a new action taking place in March. Video: Ed Morrissey does Reason.TV
I could say many things about Ed Morrissey. I have not always agreed with him; his brand of Conservatism tends to be a bit more Neo-Conservative as opposed to my Paleo-Conservative leanings. I do not agree with him, when it comes to the subject of unions. I also do not agree with him, when it comes to Ron Paul or Pat Buchanan.
Having said all of that, I like Ed Morrissey as a person. I used to read Captain’s Quarters, when I was on the left — first mainly with a big dose of skepticism. As in, “What’s this right wing weirdo going say about this?” sort of a thing. As time went on, I found Ed Morrissey to be one of the more levelheaded, reasonable Conservatives out there — more so than his former boss. I can honestly attest to the fact that Ed Morrissey at one point or another has expressed doubts about Iraq and Afghanistan both. This was a gob smacking, jaw dropping experience for this writer. I mean, when you have lost Ed Morrissey, you have lost Middle America.
Okay, the last bit of that last paragraph was a bit of a stretch, but hey, I am trying to say nice things about the damned baldheaded Neo-Con — cut me some slack eh? 😉 😛 😀 😆 🙂
Without any further delay, I present to you; Ed Morrissey, being verbally made love to, by Reason.TV’s Nick Gillespie: (H/T to the baldheaded Neo-Con himself…)
Good show Ed. You deserve every bit of the popularity, that comes with being the big time blogger that you are! 😀
Exit Question: What the heck is up with Nick Gillespie’s handlebar mustache thing?? 😮
