Nearly 1,000 believers of all faiths descended on Hart Plaza Sunday to pray for healing and economic prosperity for the city of Detroit and the region.
Organizers from Warren’s Renaissance Unity mega-church titled the event “I lift Detroit in Prayer,” and distributed bright yellow bumper stickers with that message. The interfaith ceremony attracted members of the Jewish, Islamic, Christian and other faiths, as well as a mix of Detroiters and suburbanites.
“I am focusing on the economy of the Metro Detroit area,” said Jaime Nix, 58, of Warren. “We’re all in this together.”
The crowd sang “Amazing Grace” and many lifted their hands in prayer. Later, they were invited to scrawl prayers or positive affirmations in 48 journals positioned around the event.
At a time when the sign on the plaza’s kiosk still reads “Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick Welcomes You to Detroit,” many said they were there to pray for healing in the wake of the scandals that prompted the resignation of the former mayor.
“Detroit needs prayers, the way it’s been lately,” said Shannon Carrier, 37, of Roseville. “It’s been the mayor, the economy, unemployment … the list just goes on and on.”
Nancy Salder, 69, of St. Clair Shores, wrote a message of hope in one of the bright yellow books.
“I wrote ‘Thank you God for the transformation that’s already going on,'” Salder said. “We already have a new mayor. This is going to open up all the energy, and get Detroit back.”
While they’re praying, they ought to be praying for all those corrupt Democrats that brought all the troubles on the City of Detroit. Of course, the most corrupt one, Coleman A. Young, is already in hell. So, no amount of praying will help him.
While they are at it, pray for the corrupt unions that broke the Auto industry with their insane greed and collective bargaining to the point to breaking the Auto Companies and keeping them from turning profits.
Idiotic Liberals, you just have to love them, or you’d go crazy!

High in the hills of Guatemala, shut inside the one-room house where he spends day and night on a twin bed beneath a seriously outdated calendar, Luis Alberto Jiménez has no idea of the legal battle that swirls around him in the lowlands of Florida.
Shooing away flies and beaming at the tiny, toothless elderly mother who is his sole caregiver, Mr. Jiménez, a knit cap pulled tightly on his head, remains cheerily oblivious that he has come to represent the collision of two deeply flawed American systems, immigration and health care.
Eight years ago, Mr. Jiménez, 35, an illegal immigrant working as a gardener in Stuart, Fla., suffered devastating injuries in a car crash with a drunken Floridian. A community hospital saved his life, twice, and, after failing to find a rehabilitation center willing to accept an uninsured patient, kept him as a ward for years at a cost of $1.5 million.
This story reads like a cheap dime novel. The poor immigrant. The whole dice. I got four words for this one:

The facts are in this story is simply this. This young man choose to come our Country in a unlawful manner and was hurt in a accident and became a HUGE burden on our Health care system here in America.

What happened next set the stage for a continuing legal battle with nationwide repercussions: Mr. Jiménez was deported — not by the federal government but by the hospital, Martin Memorial. After winning a state court order that would later be declared invalid, Martin Memorial leased an air ambulance for $30,000 and “forcibly returned him to his home country,” as one hospital administrator described it.
As they should have, the story goes on to say that, as this little criminal began to heal up, he began to act like a total ass in the hospital too. All because he was supposedly “Depressed”.
You know, I am just going to tell it like it is here. These filthy illegal immigrants come into our country unlawfully, and then when they’re hurt. They EXPECT us to care for them, and let the AMERICAN PEOPLE foot the bill! That, my dear readers is totally unconscionable.
As a Christian man, I do feel a bit of sympathy for his situation, but I do not have one ounce of sympathy for the fact that he was deported. Because HE DID NOT BELONG IN THIS COUNTRY IN THE FIRST DAMN PLACE!
Nice try by the Communist Liberal New York Times to try a paint a sob story, but this Conservative is not buying it, not one damn bit.
I turned to look over my shoulder to see who had uttered that ridiculous statement.
“Pardon Me?” I squinted at the dark-skinned man who had just interjected himself into my over-coffee conversation with my buddy, Kevin.
“Obama ain’t black.” He said again more matter-of-factly as he walked around the porcelain dividing wall and stood at our table where he could be more active in our conversation.
“My name’s Andree,” he said as he extended his hand. “I couldn’t help but hear what you boys had been discussin’ and I don’t mean to stick my nose in where it don’t belong, but I couldn’t leave without settin’ you straight. Obama ain’t black.”
I looked at Kevin as he shifted nervously in his seat, not sure how to take this visitor to our table.

I will simply say the following, that it is pretty telling when Obama is doing better in White America, out in places where blacks are in rare supply, than he is in the more urban communities.

I posted this, not for some stupid political ploy, not to be clever, but to remind everyone, no matter what your political stripe or conviction or feeling, You are, We are, all Americans. This is our land, and we should, at least once a year, stop and reflect on our freedoms. The freedom to write, the freedom to Pray to whatever God we wish or the freedom to not pray, at all. The freedom to agree, the freedom of dissent or to disagree, the freedom to assemble or simply the freedom to do nothing at all.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin has officially launched his Campaign website.
I am voting for Chuck Baldwin because he more represents the American values that I, as a Christian, as a Libertarian and as a Constitutionalist, hold very dear.
He might not win, but I will know that my vote went for someone who still believes in the old Paleo-conservative values that I hold dear. I will also know, that my vote did not go to a third term of George W. Bush, a Neo-Conservative, Globalist, Shill or a Socialist, Marxist, Liberal.
This notion that if you don’t vote for John McCain, that your vote is a vote for Hillary or Obama is the biggest lie and the great travesty ever heaped upon this Nation. Heaped upon it by warmongering bastards who want to send this Nation into a pit that it will never get itself out of.

There is a far-reaching scandal brewing for presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, thanks to a radio talk show host based in Oregon. Syndicated talk host Laurie Roth’s revelations make the news story about Obama’s relationship with a racist, anti-American pastor look like child’s play.
A top official at the Pentagon during former-President George H. W. Bush’s Administration and a former CIA intelligence officer maintain that Barack Obama and former Weather Underground honcho William Ayers funneled money to Professor Rashid Khalidi, a known terrorist sympathizer.
Khalidi serves on the faculty of Columbia University in New York and is best known as the professor who invited Iranian President Ahmedinejad to visit Columbia University after he finished his speech at the United Nations. According to confidential sources, Khalidi has direct ties to the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), a group on the US State Department’s list of known terrorist groups.
"One source for this information was once a top military figure in the 1990s. He doesn’t take making allegations lightly. If he says something happened, believe me, it happened," said syndicated radio talk show host Laurie Roth.
Here are the connections as described by very reliable sources, who possess impressive military, national security and intelligence backgrounds:
Allison Davis, who hired the young Obama into his small, Chicago law firm Davis, Miner, and Barnhill in 1993, left the firm in late 1999-2000 and became a housing developer. Davis went into business with Tony Rezko, the indicted businessman who’s scheduled to go on trial for corruption in Illinois, and who was a major fundraiser for Obama.
Davis met Rezko when he was a client of Davis, Miner, and Barnhill. Rezko is currently under indictment in Illinois for demanding kickbacks from companies seeking state government business contracts under Governor Blagojevich. Obama was identified as one of the politicians cited in the indictment as having received political contributions from Rezko out of his kickback funds.
Tony Rezko hosted fundraising events for Obama in his home and was on Obama’s US Senate campaign finance committee which collected $14 million for his campaign against conservative Alan Keyes, an African-American who served as an Ambassador during the Reagan Administration. In order to avoid a scandal during his presidential campaign, Obama returned $85,000 that Rezko and his family had donated to him.
In early 2000, while Obama served as a state senator in Illinois, he also sat on the board of the nonprofit Woods Fund. The Woods Fund is a Chicago-based foundation that claims its primary mission is to make financial grants in order to increase and/or create opportunities for disadvantaged people and low-income communities.
The chairman of the Woods fund board in 2000 was Howard Stanback, who like Obama also had connections to Davis, according to the reliable sources.
Davis submitted a grant request to the Woods Foundation for a $1 million investment in his development partnership, Neighborhood Rejuvenation LP, that would be used to finance low-income senior-citizen housing. Under normal circumstances, a board member is supposed to recuse himself or herself from decisions where they have a business or personal relationship.
Obama, who did not recuse himself, voted to approve Davis’ grant request. Stanback, on the other hand, abstained from voting. The housing project, which also received a $5.7 million loan from the city of Chicago, in turn donated almost $70,000 in political contributions to Obama’s presidential campaign.
In the past, Rezko gave Obama — who served as an Illinois State Senator — his first two political contributions in 1995, $1,000 each from two of his companies. In 1998, State Senator Obama wrote letters to city and state officials urging them to fund a Davis-Rezko housing project. It was an obvious quid pro quo arrangement.
Let me say that I have absolutely no way to independently confirm this.

Of course, the conservatives are saying that the AP misreported the story. I will admit, the wording did leave a bit to be desired. But I will say this, I am in Michigan, and we’re in a one State recession.
This does mean, that I am unemployed. The good thing is, I don’t have any serious debt, as I did file for bankruptcy in 2004. Before they changed the laws. However, it does kind of stink, I enjoy writing, I would like to get a job doing this professionally. But that would require college degrees and such, none of which I have, of course. So, I’m stuck to blogging. I just wish I could get this blog, some serious traffic.
I don’t pity myself, at all. I made my mistakes when I was younger, I was born with a learning disability, that I inherited from my Father. I don’t want people to pity me, I’ve been blessed beyond measure, I’ve had a good life, It could be better, but everyone could say that. The Clinton campaign moved Friday to try to quell a potentially damaging reaction to recent comments by Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton that have drawn criticism from African-Americans just as the presidential primary campaign reached Southern states with significant numbers of black voters.
In a call on Friday to Al Sharpton’s nationally syndicated talk radio show, Mr. Clinton said that his “fairy tale” comment on Monday about Senator Barack Obama’s position on the Iraq war was being misconstrued, and that he was talking only about the war, not about Mr. Obama’s overarching message or his drive to be the first black president.
“There’s nothing fairy tale about his campaign,” Mr. Clinton said. “It’s real, strong, and he might win.”
Lying idiot. He knows what he did and now Bill Clinton is trying to suck up to the Black community. I think that the African-American community needs to send Billary a message. We don’t want your cracker butt being our President. We want change, we want a new vision, we want someone who will unite and not divide. We want Obama.
The quicker the African American Community gets together and does this, the better. I say. The Clinton’s did NOT being change in America, at all, they simply rode the wave of success of the Previous Administrations. The only thing that the Clinton’s gave us was NAFTA, A disgraced White House and Waco and Ruby Ridge.
I say the quicker the Democrats drop slick willy and his ugly assed wife, the better!
