The Left Turns on MSNBC

The left may be known for a good number of things; Loyalty and Faithfulness to those who publish the message is not one of them. What I am referring to, is the new breaking scandal, uncovered by the New York Times:

It was a media cage fight, televised every weeknight at 8 p.m. But the match was halted when the blood started to spray executives in the high-priced seats.

For years Keith Olbermann of MSNBC had savaged his prime-time nemesis Bill O’Reilly of the Fox News Channel and accused Fox of journalistic malpractice almost nightly. Mr. O’Reilly in turn criticized Mr. Olbermann’s bosses and led an exceptional campaign against General Electric, the parent company of MSNBC.

01feud.xlarge1It was perhaps the fiercest media feud of the decade and by this year, their bosses had had enough. But it took a fellow television personality with a neutral perspective to help bring it to at least a temporary end.

At an off-the-record summit meeting for chief executives sponsored by Microsoft in mid-May, the PBS interviewer Charlie Rose asked Jeffrey Immelt, chairman of G.E., and his counterpart at the News Corporation, Rupert Murdoch, about the feud.

Both moguls expressed regret over the venomous culture between the networks and the increasingly personal nature of the barbs. Days later, even though the feud had increased the audience of both programs, their lieutenants arranged a cease-fire, according to four people who work at the companies and have direct knowledge of the deal.

In early June, the combat stopped, and MSNBC and Fox, for the most part, found other targets for their verbal missiles (Hello, CNN).

“It was time to grow up,” a senior employee of one of the companies said.

The reconciliation — not acknowledged by the parties until now — showcased how a personal and commercial battle between two men could create real consequences for their parent corporations. A G.E. shareholders’ meeting, for instance, was overrun by critics of MSNBC (and one of Mr. O’Reilly’s producers) last April.

“We all recognize that a certain level of civility needed to be introduced into the public discussion,” Gary Sheffer, a spokesman for G.E., said this week. “We’re happy that has happened.”

Now this, unsurprisingly to this writer, has the left up into quite the tizzy. Glenn Greenwald is not happy about this at all:

Though Olbermann denies he was part of any deal, the NYT says that there has been virtually no criticism of Fox by Olbermman, or MSNBC by O’Reilly, since June 1 when the deal took effect. That’s mostly but not entirely true. On June 17, after President Obama accused Fox News of fomenting hostility towards his greenwald_artagenda, and Fox responded by saying that the “other networks” were pure pro-Obama outlets, Olbermann did voice fairly stinging criticisms of Fox as “more of a political entity than is the Republican National Committee right now, only it’s fraudulently disguised as some sort of news organization.”

But a review of all of Olbermann’s post-June 1 shows does reveal that he has not ever criticized (or even mentioned) Bill O’Reilly since then and barely ever mentions Fox News any longer. And on June 1 — the last time Olbermann mentioned O’Reilly — Olbermann claimed at the end of his broadcast that he would cease referring to O’Reilly in the future because ignoring him (and “quarantining” Fox) would supposedly help get O’Reilly off the air (“So as of this show‘s end, I will retire the name, the photograph, and the caricature”).

So here we have yet another example — perhaps the most glaring yet — of the corporations that own our largest media outlets controlling and censoring the content of their news organizations based on the unrelated interests of the parent corporation.

Greenwald goes to make a very valid point, about Richard Wolfe:

Having Richard Wolffe host an MSNBC program — or serving as an almost daily “political analyst” — is exactly tantamount to MSNBC’s just turning over an hour every night to a corporate lobbyist. Wolffe’s role in life is to advance the P.R. interests of the corporations that pay him, including corporations with substantial interests in virtually every political issue that MSNBC and Countdown cover. Yet MSNBC is putting him on as a guest-host and “political analyst” on one of its prime-time political shows.

So, what does this all prove? It proves to any clear thinking American that; one, G.E. took a massive bruising from the attacks from Fox News and Bill O’Reilly for their allowing of the far left screed that came from that Network.  Two, that the far left is so intolerant and dictatorial in its demand that the networks stick it its message of hate and intolerance that if a network decides that it will not kowtow down to the far left’s message, that other media types of the left will turn on them. That is proven here. It is like watching vultures! The New York Times; A Liberal Owned, Financed, and Published newspaper is now turning on one of its own!  Then to top it off; Glenn Greenwald goes after MSNBC and points out that one of Keith Olbermann’s guests is a special interest P.R. guy!

I do not think that it would be bit overstating the facts that the vultures are circling over MSNBC. I cannot say that the do not deserve it, because they do. MSNBC was; and I do emphasis was, a bi-partisan network at one point. They had Chris Matthews, who at one point played the left of center, but would argue the rights points as well. Then they had Tucker Carlson, who was a Libertarian Conservative, who would argue the points of the left wing propaganda machine; albeit quite weakly at times.  Then there was Keith Olbermann who was all Liberal and then Dan Abrams who was more of a legal guy, than political.  However, that all changed; However, it was not a rapid change, it was a slow lurch to the far left. First Tucker Carlson was sacked, Then Dan Abrams was canned. Then MSNBC put in ultra-liberal and supposedly non-partisan Rachel Maddow in the 9 o’clock spot. Then after the election; 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Which was; I felt, a totally non-partisan show, was sacked and replaced by a show hosted by the insufferable idiot Ed Schultz. Thus completed the network’s total and complete lurch to the left.

I should add that for the longest time, I was a MSNBC viewer; after leaving CNN in utter disgust over their smearing of Christians in a documentary/liberal propaganda piece called “What is a Christian?” Even though I saw MSNBC beginning to tilt to the left in a way; I hung in there. Because I liked Matthew’s candor and the fact that he just did not allow guests to come on his show and spout talking points. He did this to Michelle Malkin and I thought it was done quite well; she came on, and accused John Kerry of some charges that were never proven and Chris challenged her on them; and Michelle like most people who do not back up what they say, went into meltdown mode. That was, and still is the beauty of Chris Matthews; the fact that he is not a partisan pundit.  If you come on his show, you had better have your facts together and back up what you are saying. Otherwise, Matthews will eat you alive.

However, after the election of President Obama and after all the spending in the stimulus money and the upsurge in the TeaParty movement; MSNBC’s partisan roots began to show. This became very apparent after the hate-filled vitriol and screed of a one Janeane Garofalo; who went on Keith Olbermann’s show and proceeded to insult half of middle America. She basically accused anyone who disagreed with President Barack Obama’s politics as being “White Racists.” It was that little comment that basically sealed the deal for me. I was and still am forever done with MSNBC and turned to Fox News. I will not sit here and lie to you. I cannot handle watching of some of Fox’s personalities. Sean Hannity is the Conservative version of Ed Schultz; an insufferable ass; who always thinks that he is right. I can bear to watch Bill O’Reilly. Because he is; contrary to what some might think, non-partisan. O’Reilly does not carry water for the Republican Party. Bill is strictly a Traditionalist, This is why I like his show. Greta’s show is okay, but she has this sick and morbid thing about reporting child deaths. It is disgusting and is why I will not watch her at all.

So, in conclusion; while this whole situation might be a shock to some; it hardly surprises me at all. MSNBC and G.E. deserve every last bit of criticism that come their way. When you engage in the politics of hate, you get what it coming to you. It is too bad that G.E. has not went all the way and pulled the plug on that network for good.

It is official: Keith Olbermann has become a sad parody of himself.

keitholbermannparody

Tonight I saw something that I thought I would never see. I saw a famous liberal broadcaster become a sick parody of himself; Keith Olbermann, who has been lauded by the Republicans as the Anti-Christ of the liberal political world tonight went, in this writers opinion, from a professional broadcaster with a bit of a liberal slant to an overpaid journalistic hack.

Keith was reporting or something to that effect, on the roast that Barack Obama and John McCain both attended, which was held for a very good cause. In the course of this roast, John McCain landed some rather good-natured humorous insults at MSNBC and Keith Olbermann. Of course, Keith being the very prideful man that he is felt the need to respond.

Well, needless to say, what follows is a living example of what happens, when you pay a sportscaster five million dollars a year to drone on about the many evils of Conservatism, Capitalism and an unpopular President.

I do believe the show should be renamed MeltDown. Because that is, what the show has become, a slow and painful meltdown of a man, who is most definitely out of his league. Some that say also out of his mind, but I am not one to judge another man’s mental capacity or lack thereof.

The thing most disturbs me is that there absolutely no point to this video, no humor, just propped up broadcaster with a bright light upon him. Which basically describes Keith Olbermann in General. *Rimshot* Hee hee

There was a point, when I respected this man’s journalistic abilities, but sadly that point has quickly evaporated into a mist of doubt and sad shame.

MSNBC should seriously consider reviewing this man’s contract and attempt to salvage what little integrity that they have left and send this overpaid buffoon packing.

While do not believe that Tucker Carlson was any better, at least he brought intelligence to the political discussion. The best this buffoon can do is recite the far left’s talking points.  Between this jug-headed twerp and his mini me Rachel Maddow, I do believe that MSNBC has become of the new liberal mother ship of broadcasting. A title that did once belong to CNN in the 1990’s. In fact, I believe that MSNBC has become the new CNN in political terms.

Who knows, maybe Keith will name me, “Worse Person in the World”. I could get so lucky. Rolling Eyes

If this is what the next four years is going to be like, if Obama wins, America is going to be a very depressing place.

The Liberal Media goes after “Joe the Plumber”

Remember Joe the Plumber that I reluctantly Blogged about earlier? Well, because he had the… ahem… shall we say “Stones” (Surprise) to appear in Barry’s rope line and challenge him on his tax proposals, the Liberal Media is basically ruining the man’s life.

I can relate to poor Joe a bit. After my posting mocking the Left for stoking the racial hatred in this election, which landed me on gawker.com, and gave me my 15 minutes of fame in the Blogosphere; I lost one ad company and two ads from another Ad Company that requested that I remove two Ads from my Blog. The funny thing is, the one ad company that dropped me, I made all of $46.48 with them and the other two advertisers that dropped me, I never made a DIME with them. So, the only thing that the angry left succeeded in doing to me, was removing quite a bit of clutter from my Blog.

Of course, if you bring up the fact that I am, in fact, a former “Left of Center” person and Blogger, If you bring up the fact that I have not had a job since 2005, thanks to the idiotic Democratic Governor here in Michigan, if you bring up the fact that the left has been just as nasty, just as racist and just as stupid as anything that I have ever posted. They run from you, like the America hating, anti-capitalist, terrorist appeasing, cowardly assholes that they are.

As Always Michelle Malkin is on the case, exposing the left’s mission to make a working man’s life a living hell. I hope the Joe files a defamation of character lawsuit against every last one of these media outlets, who are airing his dirty laundry to the world. Because if he has the right lawyer, he could in fact, collect a good amount of money from everyone of these places. I mean, there is enough video tape to prove that he is being assassinated character-wise in the media.

So Joe, I can relate. I’ve been there. It does end, sooner or later. But take my advice, get a damn lawyer and sue the living crap out of these bastards and teach them a lesson; once and for all.

If I could ask Barack Obama one question, it would be, “So Senator Obama, How does it feel to be the most famous black man in America, who ruined the life of a working class White Man?”

Update: Whew! Typo’s and bad grammer… Memo to self, drink coffee BEFORE Blogging in the morning… 😀

Ever Notice?

When stuff like this Supposedly happens, that there’s never any video to back it up?

The boisterous crowd, estimated at around 4,500, interrupted her speech several times with chants of, "Sarah! Sarah! Sarah!"

There were no incendiary outbursts from the crowd about Mr. Obama during Mrs. Palin’s speech, as there have been during other recent McCain-Palin rallies.

However, someone did shout out, "Kill him!" during Republican congressional candidate Chris Hackett’s remarks before Mrs. Palin took the stage.

The outburst came during a round of booing from the crowd after Mr. Hackett said Mr. Obama should come to Pennsylvania and learn what the state’s values are. – Via The Times Tribune

I’ll believe that someone really said “Kill Him” when the video surfaces. Like I blogged about before, sometimes, the media lies about this sort of thing.

I’ll believe this, when the video of it happening surfaces.

So much for that “Kill Him!” Narrative!

It seems that the narrative about someone yelling out “Kill Him!” about Obama at a Palin rally.

Patterico as always is on the story:

Everyone in the country seems to think someone yelled “Kill him!” at a McCain/Palin rally, about Barack Obama. It’s just not true.

The “Kill him!” phrase was originally reported by the Washingon Post — and it was clearly yelled about William Ayers and not Barack Obama.

I quoted the relevant language in this post:

“And, according to the New York Times, he [referring to Ayers — P] was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, ‘launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,’” [Palin] continued.

“Boooo!” the crowd repeated.

“Kill him!” proposed one man in the audience.

That is unambiguously a call to kill Ayers, not Obama. As TNR writer Michael Crowley said in a comment to this post of his (h/t L.N. Smithee):

I took “kill him” to mean Ayers–not Obama. It’s just a far, far likelier explanation given the context. That’s still an ugly thing to shout–but on the other hand Ayers probably would have gotten the death penalty had his bombs actually taken a life. If I thought people were actually yelling that about Obama I would feel very differently.

Indeed. [UPDATE: Dana Milbank, who originally reported this, agreed. According to a Politico blog entry: “Milbank said that his impression was that the man meant Ayers, not Obama.” Thanks to “no one you know.”]

So, when the left claims that people are yelling at Palin rallies to kill Obama. You can safely know that it is nothing more than a well manufactured lie. A lie manufactured by a Media that is in the tank for Obama.

Surprising? No. Shocking, Not hardly. Thanks for the Karl Rove and his group of Neo-Conservative idiots, we are going have Liberalism shoved down our throats for the next 4 to 8 years. If we’re not destroyed by a terrorist attack before then.

From the Dept. of “Well, Duh!”

One of the funniest Political Blog postings I’ve ever seen. Identity Politics at it’s finest.

TheRoot.com asks, “Can Blacks be trusted to cover Obama?”

When a weary and jet-lagged Barack Obama took the stage on the last day of the UNITY Journalists of Color convention in Chicago last month, most of the attendees had already left. But there was still a healthy crowd of over 2,500 there to hear the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

That is when, according to the mainstream media, black folks apparently acted like natural-born fools.

As you all know, I am quite well known for my controversial remarks. It is what I do. So, I will not disappoint.

Saying that blacks can be totally trusted to cover Obama would be like saying that White Nationalists could be trusted to cover David Duke.

My Thoughts on the Keith Olbermann and Dana Milbank Split

Yes, I have seen Keith Olbermann’s entry over at the Kos. Overall, I think it speaks to Olbermann’s integrity in the business. Dana Milbank obviously distorted a quote for personal gain and that put him at odds with Keith.

The argument that MSNBC and Keith are in the tank for Obama is naïve and simplistic at best. That is the narrow view of the whole situation. Keith was just looking out for the integrity of his show; Keith knew that if he did not call Milbank on this, people on the left and the right would ridicule him. Therefore, Keith did the smartest thing possible, damage control. Keith held Dana’s feet to the proverbial fire. Milbank seeing that the world was against him, made a new deal with another network.

From reading the reactions, everyone seems to think that Keith did the right thing, and the Bloggers are saying that Olbermann is in the can for Obama; again, that is the narrow view of the whole situation. One Hillary shill thinks it was just downright horrible; however, this is the same moronic idiot, which claimed there was a Michelle Obama “Whitey” tape, which we have still not seen.

Once again, Conservative Bloggers are being locked out of Blogspot Blogs.

This via Confederate Yankee:

Online activists thought to be loyal to Barack Obama are once against using Google’s software tools to target rival political blogs for elimination as spam blogs. This occurred earlier this year when Democratic bloggers with a preference for Hillary Clinton also found themselves locked out of their own blogs, all because of spurious and apparently orchestrated claims that these blogs are spam blogs. Pro-Obama activists were blamed for those attempts at censorship as well.

Like John at Argghhh!, I don’t think for a second that the Obama campaign has any official knowledge of this attempt to hamstring or terminate rival political viewpoints, but as Obama once won an election by exercising procedural tricks to have his rivals thrown off the ballot, it is certainly in line with the kind of character he has displayed in the past.

This time to victim is David Marron, of The Thunder Run:

Hello All,

Seems someone is scared of the truth as I found this when I went to post this morning.

This blog has been locked due to possible Blogger Terms of Service violations. You may not publish new posts until your blog is reviewed and unlocked.
This blog will be deleted within 20 days unless you request a review.

Its the same message Concrete Bob received and Rosemary posted for him.

This is bullshit as it appears that someone does not approve of the idea of free speech especially when the speech doesn’t conform to their ideas.

I’m always asked: “Why are the milblogs important?” Well we can see the reason why. We get the message out! We can not allow others to dictate the form or content of the message. The message must always be the truth, whether they want to hear it or not.

Regardless of the outcome with Google’s review, The Thunder Run is now in the process of purchasing a domain and finding seperate hosting services…I suggest anyone else that uses Blogger to do the same, its something I should have done a long time ago.

With John Donovan’s permission I will be posting most of my stuff at Castle Argghhh! until further notice.

Americans know what Conservative Bloggers have been saying all along.

That the media is in the tank for the Obamasssiah….

The Story Via Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election.

Just 14% believe most reporters will try to help McCain win, little changed from 13% a month ago. Just one voter in four (24%) believes that most reporters will try to offer unbiased coverage.

A Rasmussen Reports survey earlier this year found that just 24% of American voters have a favorable opinion of the New York Times. The paper’s ratings divided sharply along partisan and ideological lines, with liberals far more supportive of the paper than conservatives.

At the time of that survey, the Times was being criticized for an article it had run about McCain’s ties to lobbyists. Sixty-six percent (66%) of those who were aware of the story in question believed it was an attempt by the paper to hurt the McCain campaign.

In the latest survey, a plurality of Democrats—37%– say most reporters try to offer unbiased coverage of the campaign. Twenty-seven percent (27%) believe most reporters are trying to help Obama and 21% in Obama’s party think reporters are trying to help the Republican candidate.

Among Republicans, 78% believe reporters are trying to help Obama and 10% see most offering unbiased coverage.

As for unaffiliated voters, 50% see a pro-Obama bias and 21% see unbiased coverage. Just 12% of those not affiliated with either major party believe the reporters are trying to help McCain.

In a more general sense, 45% say that most reporters would hide information if it hurt the candidate they wanted to win. Just 30% disagree and 25% are not sure. Democrats are evenly divided as to whether a reporter would release such information while Republicans and unaffiliated voters have less confidence in the reporters.

Perhaps Bill O’ was right after all. I will be the first to admit. MSNBC does seem to be in the tank for Obama. CNN was for Hillary, but seeing she is out, they have swung their support behind Obama. The notable exception being Lou Dobbs. The only Anti-Obama network, really, is Fox News. However, from what I have read in various places, Even Fox has softened their coverage on him as well. The notable exception there is Sean Hannity and of course, Bill O.

It is quite funny, anytime you say to a Liberal that media is in the tank for Obama. Their heads explode and they accuse you of being a racist bigot.

Anyone that wants to know the real truth about B. Hussein Obama, check out the picture of ol’ Barry with the cigarette in his mouth and click it, and also check out the link below it, to read about his communist ties. It is a real eye opener.

The real funny thing is how the Liberals try and spin this story. Check out Huffpo‘s Poor attempt at Spin.

Whoowee… All that spin, I’m so dizzy... 😉

The New York Times rejects McCain Piece, Because it doesn’t sound enough like Obama’s.

According to Matt Drudge, This editorial by John McCain was rejected by the New York times:

Quote:

In January 2007, when General David Petraeus took command in Iraq, he called the situation “hard” but not “hopeless.” Today, 18 months later, violence has fallen by up to 80% to the lowest levels in four years, and Sunni and Shiite terrorists are reeling from a string of defeats. The situation now is full of hope, but considerable hard work remains to consolidate our fragile gains.

Progress has been due primarily to an increase in the number of troops and a change in their strategy. I was an early advocate of the surge at a time when it had few supporters in Washington. Senator Barack Obama was an equally vocal opponent. “I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq is going to solve the sectarian violence there,” he said on January 10, 2007. “In fact, I think it will do the reverse.”

Now Senator Obama has been forced to acknowledge that “our troops have performed brilliantly in lowering the level of violence.” But he still denies that any political progress has resulted.

Perhaps he is unaware that the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has recently certified that, as one news article put it, “Iraq has met all but three of 18 original benchmarks set by Congress last year to measure security, political and economic progress.” Even more heartening has been progress that’s not measured by the benchmarks. More than 90,000 Iraqis, many of them Sunnis who once fought against the government, have signed up as Sons of Iraq to fight against the terrorists. Nor do they measure Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki’s new-found willingness to crack down on Shiite extremists in Basra and Sadr City—actions that have done much to dispel suspicions of sectarianism.

The success of the surge has not changed Senator Obama’s determination to pull out all of our combat troops. All that has changed is his rationale. In a New York Times op-ed and a speech this week, he offered his “plan for Iraq” in advance of his first “fact finding” trip to that country in more than three years. It consisted of the same old proposal to pull all of our troops out within 16 months. In 2007 he wanted to withdraw because he thought the war was lost. If we had taken his advice, it would have been. Now he wants to withdraw because he thinks Iraqis no longer need our assistance.

To make this point, he mangles the evidence. He makes it sound as if Prime Minister Maliki has endorsed the Obama timetable, when all he has said is that he would like a plan for the eventual withdrawal of U.S. troops at some unspecified point in the future.

Senator Obama is also misleading on the Iraqi military’s readiness. The Iraqi Army will be equipped and trained by the middle of next year, but this does not, as Senator Obama suggests, mean that they will then be ready to secure their country without a good deal of help. The Iraqi Air Force, for one, still lags behind, and no modern army can operate without air cover. The Iraqis are also still learning how to conduct planning, logistics, command and control, communications, and other complicated functions needed to support frontline troops.

No one favors a permanent U.S. presence, as Senator Obama charges. A partial withdrawal has already occurred with the departure of five “surge” brigades, and more withdrawals can take place as the security situation improves. As we draw down in Iraq, we can beef up our presence on other battlefields, such as Afghanistan, without fear of leaving a failed state behind. I have said that I expect to welcome home most of our troops from Iraq by the end of my first term in office, in 2013.

But I have also said that any draw-downs must be based on a realistic assessment of conditions on the ground, not on an artificial timetable crafted for domestic political reasons. This is the crux of my disagreement with Senator Obama.

Senator Obama has said that he would consult our commanders on the ground and Iraqi leaders, but he did no such thing before releasing his “plan for Iraq.” Perhaps that’s because he doesn’t want to hear what they have to say. During the course of eight visits to Iraq, I have heard many times from our troops what Major General Jeffrey Hammond, commander of coalition forces in Baghdad, recently said: that leaving based on a timetable would be “very dangerous.”

The danger is that extremists supported by Al Qaeda and Iran could stage a comeback, as they have in the past when we’ve had too few troops in Iraq. Senator Obama seems to have learned nothing from recent history. I find it ironic that he is emulating the worst mistake of the Bush administration by waving the “Mission Accomplished” banner prematurely.

I am also dismayed that he never talks about winning the war—only of ending it. But if we don’t win the war, our enemies will. A triumph for the terrorists would be a disaster for us. That is something I will not allow to happen as president. Instead I will continue implementing a proven counterinsurgency strategy not only in Iraq but also in Afghanistan with the goal of creating stable, secure, self-sustaining democratic allies.

The reason for the rejected was this:

Shipley continues: ‘It would be terrific to have an article from Senator McCain that mirrors Senator Obama’s piece. To that end, the article would have to articulate, in concrete terms, how Senator McCain defines victory in Iraq.’

In other words, McCain’s piece didn’t sound enough like Obama’s piece. Bias, thy name is the New York Times.

A article that I think everyone needs to read.

I think all Americans should read this.

“Obama ain’t black.”

I turned to look over my shoulder to see who had uttered that ridiculous statement.

“Pardon Me?” I squinted at the dark-skinned man who had just interjected himself into my over-coffee conversation with my buddy, Kevin.

“Obama ain’t black.” He said again more matter-of-factly as he walked around the porcelain dividing wall and stood at our table where he could be more active in our conversation.

“My name’s Andree,” he said as he extended his hand. “I couldn’t help but hear what you boys had been discussin’ and I don’t mean to stick my nose in where it don’t belong, but I couldn’t leave without settin’ you straight. Obama ain’t black.”

I looked at Kevin as he shifted nervously in his seat, not sure how to take this visitor to our table.

“Well, have a seat Andree,” somewhat trying to judge the book by its cover. “I’m Dave, but most folks call me Coach, and this is Kevin.” Kevin extended his hand politely.——- Click the link to read the rest of Conveniently Black by Dave Daubenmire (via NewsWithViews.com

I will simply say the following, that it is pretty telling when Obama is doing better in White America, out in places where blacks are in rare supply, than he is in the more urban communities.

I don’t have much to add to this article… Because Dave says it all in this article. Enjoy.

No wonder the AP has went to dogs…

Via TPM:

Karl Rove exchanged e-mails about Pat Tillman with Associated Press reporter Ron Fournier, under the subject line “H-E-R-O.” In response to Mr. Fournier’s e-mail, Mr. Rove asked, “How does our country continue to produce men and women like this,” to which Mr. Fournier replied, “The Lord creates men and women like this all over the world. But only the great and free countries allow them to flourish. Keep up the fight.

To his defense:

“I was an AP political reporter at the time of the 2004 e-mail exchange, and was interacting with a source, a top aide to the president, in the The Carpetbagger Report, Gawker, Obsidian Wings, AMERICAblog News, The Jed Report and The Politico course of following an important and compelling story. I regret the breezy nature of the correspondence.”

Yeah, sure he does. 🙄

Oh Tweety…..

Chris Matthews, Does it….again.

Video:

I liked the old Media Matter music better, this new one is a bit, shall we say, stale?

The Quote:

MATTHEWS: Up next: They’re the working-class white voters Hillary Clinton won and Barack didn’t. Can Obama now win over the regular folks, white folks, against John McCain? We’ll ask the strategists. You’re watching Hardball.

Sometimes, I think he says stuff like that, intentionally, just to piss the liberals off.

I hate to say it, but I kind of view Matthews as the Bill O’Reilly of MSNBC. (Ha!)

What rubs me to no end, is how some of the morning people use their shows or airtime to push their little political agendas. Andrea Mitchell is a classic example. She loves to belittle the Democrats. Of course, seeing her hubby is Neo-Con Alan Greenspan, that should be no surprise.

Asking legitimate questions is one thing, editorializing disguised as questions, is another. Right Andrea? You Neo-Con slime ball.

Fox News, The village of the Asshats

I never was much of a watcher of the Rupert Mudoch owned Neo-Conservative propaganda machine.

Perhaps this is why.

Quote:

Like most working journalists, whenever I type seven letters — Fox News — a series of alarms begins to whoop in my head: Danger. Warning. Much mayhem ahead.

Once the public relations apparatus at Fox News is engaged, there will be the calls to my editors, keening (and sometimes threatening) e-mail messages, and my requests for interviews will quickly turn into depositions about my intent or who else I am talking to.

And if all that stuff doesn’t slow me down and I actually end up writing something, there might be a large hangover: Phone calls full of rebuke for a dependent clause in the third to the last paragraph, a ritual spanking in the blogs with anonymous quotes that sound very familiar, and — if I really hit the jackpot — the specter of my ungainly headshot appearing on one of Fox News’s shows along with some stern copy about what an idiot I am.

Yeeesh, charming people. 😮 🙄

Oh Wait, there’s more:

At Fox News, media relations is a kind of rolling opposition research operation intended to keep reporters in line by feeding and sometimes maiming them. Shooting the occasional messenger is baked right into the process.

As crude as that sounds, it works. By blacklisting reporters it does not like, planting stories with friendlies at every turn, Fox News has been living a life beyond consequence for years. Honesty compels me to admit that I have choked a few times at the keyboard when Fox News has come up in a story and it was not absolutely critical to the matter at hand.

But it cuts both ways: Fox News’s amazing coup d’état in the cable news war has very likely been undercovered because the organization is such a handful to deal with. Fox is so busy playing defense — mentioning it in the same story as CNN can be a high crime — that its business and journalism accomplishments don’t get traction and the cable station never seems to attain the legitimacy it so clearly craves.

Yikes, sounds like a McCarthy type mentality, if you ask me. I mean, blackballing people? Wow.

This Gets Better, trust me…. remember the altered Photos that I posted about last week? It turns out, that it is supposedly standard policy to do that, so says Faux Noise. Oh Yes, I am not kidding…

Quote:

The accompanying photographs were heavily altered, although the audience was probably none the wiser. Mr. Reddicliffe looked like the wicked witch after a hard night of drinking, but it was the photo of Mr. Steinberg that stopped traffic when it appeared on the Web at Media Matters side by side with his actual photo. In a technique familiar to students of vintage German propaganda, his ears were pulled out, his teeth splayed apart, his forehead lowered and his nose was widened and enlarged in a way that made him look more like Fagin than the guy I work with. (Mr. Steinberg told me that as a working reporter who covers Fox News, he was not in a position to comment. A spokeswoman said the executive in charge of “Fox and Friends” is on vacation and not available for comment but added that altering photos for humorous effect is a common practice on cable news stations.)

But you have to remember, you are dealing with Fox News here or as I just love to call them; Faux Noise, with those guys, Up is down, Right is left, and George W. Bush is the greatest President, ever. Stop Laughing! I didn’t say that I thought he was.

Again, as I have said a thousand times, in my time as a Political Blogger, I just do not watch Fox News, because, quite frankly, I find it to be an insult to my intelligence. I mean, the whole damn Network is a giant propaganda machine. It’s humorous, but borderline insane. But then again, are not most Neo-Conservatives?
