I just picked up Microsoft Office 2007, Word 2007 is awesome, except it treats Quotes like indents. Anyone know of a nice WordPress Plug in for Word 2007?
Online activists thought to be loyal to Barack Obama are once against using Google’s software tools to target rival political blogs for elimination as spam blogs. This occurred earlier this year when Democratic bloggers with a preference for Hillary Clinton also found themselves locked out of their own blogs, all because of spurious and apparently orchestrated claims that these blogs are spam blogs. Pro-Obama activists were blamed for those attempts at censorship as well.
Like John at Argghhh!, I don’t think for a second that the Obama campaign has any official knowledge of this attempt to hamstring or terminate rival political viewpoints, but as Obama once won an election by exercising procedural tricks to have his rivals thrown off the ballot, it is certainly in line with the kind of character he has displayed in the past.
Seems someone is scared of the truth as I found this when I went to post this morning.
This blog has been locked due to possible Blogger Terms of Service violations. You may not publish new posts until your blog is reviewed and unlocked. This blog will be deleted within 20 days unless you request a review.
This is bullshit as it appears that someone does not approve of the idea of free speech especially when the speech doesn’t conform to their ideas.
I’m always asked: “Why are the milblogs important?” Well we can see the reason why. We get the message out! We can not allow others to dictate the form or content of the message. The message must always be the truth, whether they want to hear it or not.
Regardless of the outcome with Google’s review, The Thunder Run is now in the process of purchasing a domain and finding seperate hosting services…I suggest anyone else that uses Blogger to do the same, its something I should have done a long time ago.

There have been times, when I, as a Blogger, have wanted to bang my head on the desk. There are times, when I have become so frustrated at the level of stupidity being served by both sides of this political discourse, that I have seriously thought about just shutting this Blog down and disappearing into the mists of ether and finding something else to do. There are times, when I, as a Blogger, have shook my fist in righteous indignation at some of the things written by both sides of this political divide, that is called Politics.
However, this, my friends, is scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel. It seems that the Liberal Blogging world, with it’s lack of substantive accusations against John McCain, has, in fact, began publishing stories about a topic, that normally would not even receive the light of day in a legitimate publication; His Shoes.
That is right ladies and Gentleman; the liberal bloggers are now publishing stories about John McCain’s shoes. This female blogger at the Huffington Post by the name of Isabel Wilkinson, whose political credentials are that of a Dallas cowboy cheerleader, wrote a rather vain piece about the kind of shoes that John McCain wears. I have to honestly wonder aloud, who in the Huffington Post was the recipient of this woman’s oral sex, for her to get that job as a writer. Because whoever they were, they hired a real winner here.
I am not a John McCain cheerleader, not by a long shot. However, this sort of lame attempt by the left to paint John McCain as some sort of out of touch, rich, elitist is about the lamest thing I have ever read, in a good long while. This ranks up there with the New York Times piece on the supposed affair that McCain was having with a lobbyist.
It is not that I am against criticizing John McCain, not at all. There are legitimate concerns that I have with McCain as well, his closeness to Bush, his ties to lobbyists, his wanting to bomb Iran, but to write an article about his shoes? How absurd. The left can much better than this, and they know it. The quicker they start doing that, the better, because right about now, they look like total idiots in my eyes, and I would imagine in the eyes many other people as well.
The NYTdoes a piece on Women Bloggers. It gets put in the style section, of all places.
I have two favorites. Rachel Lucas and Mary Katharine Ham, both equally excellent writers and both good looking, The kind of good looking, that makes a guy want to get on all fours and bark like a dog, kind of good looking.
I turned to look over my shoulder to see who had uttered that ridiculous statement.
“Pardon Me?” I squinted at the dark-skinned man who had just interjected himself into my over-coffee conversation with my buddy, Kevin.
“Obama ain’t black.” He said again more matter-of-factly as he walked around the porcelain dividing wall and stood at our table where he could be more active in our conversation.
“My name’s Andree,” he said as he extended his hand. “I couldn’t help but hear what you boys had been discussin’ and I don’t mean to stick my nose in where it don’t belong, but I couldn’t leave without settin’ you straight. Obama ain’t black.”
I looked at Kevin as he shifted nervously in his seat, not sure how to take this visitor to our table.

I will simply say the following, that it is pretty telling when Obama is doing better in White America, out in places where blacks are in rare supply, than he is in the more urban communities.

Unfortunately, I’ve suddenly taken a little ill today, and will have to cancel today’s show. For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been recently diagnosed with Type II diabetes and am working through a medication regimen to address high blood sugars. It seems that according to various British media sources, the United States scored a major victory in Iraq.
Too bad the vast majority of Americans, unless they read blogs, won’t hear about it. That’s because the United States Liberal controlled media is too busy trying to tell Americans that the war in Iraq is lost and that we’re losing, and so forth.
What further proof do we need, that the Liberals in this country, hate America, Our Military and the values that we conservatives hold dear?
It is no wonder that places like the New York Times and other dead wood media sources are losing money left and right and will eventually be put out of business.
The Silence of these media sources speak volumes to me.
According to Megan McArdle Progressive Blogger Brian Beutler is going to be fine.
Just want to say, that unlike some Bloggers on the other side of the Political fence, I do have a heart. I will continue to remember Brian in my thoughts.

I posted this, not for some stupid political ploy, not to be clever, but to remind everyone, no matter what your political stripe or conviction or feeling, You are, We are, all Americans. This is our land, and we should, at least once a year, stop and reflect on our freedoms. The freedom to write, the freedom to Pray to whatever God we wish or the freedom to not pray, at all. The freedom to agree, the freedom of dissent or to disagree, the freedom to assemble or simply the freedom to do nothing at all.

Just a few words about this blogging platform. I stumbled upon the WordPress.com version of WordPress back in 2006. I started using it in a big time manner February of 2007. I have been hooked every since.
Matt and his team of writers have really done a bunch with WordPress, since I’ve been following the progress. Yeah, I admit it, me and Matt have had our disagreements in the past. But that’s all the past. He’s built himself quite the excellent business, and I can only admire a guy for that.
Yeah, I’ve heard the critisms of Matt and WordPress too, in all honesty, it is usually made by those who have either tried to tell Matt how to write his software, and wanted to change something, without his consent. But mainly it is from a competiter, who’s Blogging software, quote frankly, looks like crap and I’m told performs like it too.
So, Matt, I say, Hats off to ya mate, keep up the good work.

U.S. immigration authorities have stepped up deportations, but rather than pursue illegal aliens, they have chosen to evict America’s church ministers from the country instead.
Honesty could cost Christian pastor Keith Thomas his citizenship because he cooperated with immigration officials, disclosing two minor marijuana convictions he incurred when he was a young man in England 33 years ago.
Thomas, 53, is working without pay, fearing deportation from the U.S. and separation from his family. He was denied a green card based on convictions that were expunged in 1982. Thomas told WND he has documentation to prove his clean record since the 1975 conviction and that he has always been truthful with officials, but he doesn’t understand why people who enter the country illegally are allowed to stay when he is facing the citizenship battle of his life.
“They’ve let 12 million illegals into the country, yet somebody has been doing some good, paying taxes, came in legally and has been married to an American for 27 years and has two American kids, and they’re going to kick him out?” Thomas asked. “I told the truth. Nobody called me out on my past. If I had not even owned up to my record, the government would not have been able to find any of it.”
Now, they’ve set a “toll booth” up for people to pay them for articles used and quoted.
You know, I am all for copyright enforcement and respecting of other people’s intellectual property and all that kind of stuff, but this is just downright stupid and will end up costing the AP readership in the end.

Another voice in the vast expanse of the Political Blogosphere is leaving this rather noisy arena for greener pastures.
My name is Andrew Exum, and for the past year and a half, I have had the great pleasure of editing this blog under the ridiculous pseudonym “Abu Muqawama.”
I started this blog as a joke – hence the tongue-in-cheek name – and have been shocked to discover that a year and a half on, we have a dedicated readership whose numbers have been growing exponentially. I’ll never forget the day Dave Kilcullen sent me three separate emails complaining about some smart-assed post I had written. “When did people start taking us seriously?” I angrily demanded of Charlie in an email that day. – Thank You, and Goodbye – (Via abu muqawama)
I will, possibly vainly, attempt from getting too overly philosophical about this.
I personally believe that one of the worst mistakes that one can make, when Blogging and commenting on politics is taking one’s self too damn seriously.
On one hand, I am happy to see that the man is finding his wings and moving on to what he really wants to do. On the other, I am quite saddened, that another voice, within the arena of independent, non-corporate controlled political discourse, is now being removed.
Hopefully he does not stay gone too damned long, as I am not too keen on having to take up the slack. That means I would have to become a serious writer. Egad, perish the thought of actually having to live up to a respectable reputation. I owe you bastards nothing, nothing at all.
According to my counters, there’s a great deal of you that stop by here and read. How many of them are real and how many are web crawlers, is anyone’s guess. But I am happy to see the people do read here. I just wish they’d click links and buy stuff… and possibly donate! I would be much better off, than I am now.
