The Media accuses John McCain of being dishonest in his ads.

This is kind of an oddball story. Mainly, because the media, as always, is full of it and, as always, in the tank for Obama.

This comes via ABC NEWS:

We in the media have given a lot of airtime to the TV ads of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., this week, starring as they do Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY.

There’s been evidence emerging that McCain’s campaign isn’t really running these ads anywhere, according to the Campaign Media Analysis Group.

“These were basically video press releases,” CMAG’s Evan Tracey tells the Wall Street Journal.

OK, so that’s kind of dishonest of the McCain campaign.

Today’s new McCain ad — “Tiny,” which you can watch HERE — crosses a new line into dishonesty, however, beyond whether or not it’s actually airing anywhere.

The Ad in question:

The script of the Ad:

“Iran. Radical Islamic government. Known sponsors of terrorism. Developing nuclear capabilities to ‘generate power’ but threatening to eliminate Israel.

“Obama says Iran is a ‘tiny’ country, ‘doesn’t pose a serious threat,'” the ad continues. “Terrorism, destroying Israel, those aren’t ‘serious threats’? Obama — dangerously unprepared to be president.”

Well, golly gosh gee… Here’s Obama’s Words, first in Video:

and in Print:

“strong countries and strong Presidents talk to their adversaries. That’s what Kennedy did with Khrushchev. That’s what Reagan did with Gorbachev. That’s what Nixon did with Mao. I mean think about it. Iran, Cuba, Venezuela — these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They don’t pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us. And yet we were willing to talk to the Soviet Union at the time when they were saying, ‘We’re going to wipe you off the planet.’

“And ultimately that direct engagement led to a series of measures that helped prevent nuclear war, and over time allowed the kind of opening that brought down the Berlin Wall,” Obama continued. “Now, that has to be the kind of approach that we take. You know, Iran, they spend one-one hundredth of what we spend on the military. If Iran ever tried to pose a serious threat to us, they wouldn’t stand a chance. And we should use that position of strength that we have to be bold enough to go ahead and listen. That doesn’t mean we agree with them on everything. We might not compromise on any issues, but at least we should find out other areas of potential common interest, and we can reduce some of the tensions that has caused us so many problems around the world.”

So, Where is the dishonesty again? I fail to see it. What more can we expect from a communist liberal media?

A movie that every American should watch, before voting

(H/T to AP at Hotair.com)

This movie, if it caught on in the Media would ruin Obama’s chances of being elected President.

Trailer 2:

Wow…. I don’t think Barry will have to worry about snipers. He’d better worry about this movie.

B. Hussein Obama the new Greek god?

Could it be? Could this be some sort of attempt to paint this guy as some sort of new Greek god?

Sure seems that way.

ABC NEWS Reports:

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s big speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple.

The stage, similar to structures used for rock concerts, has been set up at the 50-yard-line, the midpoint of Invesco Field, the stadium where the Denver Broncos’ National Football League team plays.

Some 80,000 supporters will see Obama appear from between plywood columns painted off-white, reminiscent of Washington’s Capitol building or even the White House, to accept the party’s nomination for president.

He will stride out to a raised platform to a podium that can be raised from beneath the floor.

The show should provide a striking image for the millions of Americans watching on television as Obama delivers a speech accepting the Democratic presidential nomination.

This my friends is unbelievable. Is this man’s ego that broad, that he must be painted to be the next Greek god, that will come to save the World from it’s troubles?

Please. This moronic tool is the product of an unconstitutional civil rights act, that was passed in 1964, by a Communist infiltrated congress. Which sought to broaden the Governments powers and to legislate morality in this country. This bill was not signed by a congressman, of whom I have the uttermost respect for, and that was Senator Barry Goldwater Sr.

The truth is that B. Hussein Obama is a Marxist. He has ties to some of the most corrupt in Chicago Illinois. He also has ties to William Ayers who, with his group weather underground committed acts of horrific terrorism upon this Nation and it’s people.

If this Nation elects this Negro man, it would be one worst disasters in this Nations history. I will not be voting for him, I assume that many that read this blog will not be either. Of course, electing John McCain will not be much better, because he is one of the most liberal Republicans out there. John McCain is soft on illegal immigration, John McCain’s Neo-Conservative polices are too close to the imperialistic George W. Bush, but B. Hussein Obama will be the worst disaster in the world, if he elect him.

So much for that Hillary speech!

So, you think that Hillary speech soothed all the wounds amongst the Hillary supporters? Well, that is what the Democratic Party wants you to think!

Turns out, it might not be exactly true.

That is because that the Washington Post is reporting the following:

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s most loyal delegates came to the Pepsi Center on Tuesday night looking for direction. They listened, rapt, to a 20-minute speech that many proclaimed the best she had ever delivered, hoping her words could somehow unwind a year of tension in the Democratic Party. But when Clinton stepped off the stage and the standing ovation faded into silence, many of her supporters were left with a sobering realization: Even a tremendous speech couldn’t erase their frustrations.

Despite Clinton’s plea for Democrats to unite, her delegates remained divided as to how they should proceed.

There was Jerry Straughan, a professor from California, who listened from his seat in the rafters and shook his head at what he considered the speech’s predictability. “It’s a tactic,” he said. “Who knows what she really thinks? With all the missteps that have taken place, this is the only thing she could do. So, yes, I’m still bitter.”

There was JoAnn Enos, from Minnesota, who digested Clinton’s resounding endorsement of Barack Obama and decided that she, too, will move on and get behind him. “I’ll vote for [Obama] in the roll call,” she said, “because that’s what Hillary wants.”

I hate to say it, but I kind of knew this was coming. As the saying goes, “Hell hath no fury, of that of a woman’s scorn.” In fact, yesterday, I was over at No Quarter. Which is a pro-Hillary Blog, (I know some have discredited Larry Johnson, but it is the best example…) and the comments section tells the story. It is just this simple, Hillary cannot control her delegates and supporters. She can suggest, she can plead, she can encourage, but she cannot force them, we live in a free and democratic society. Our people choose whom they want to represent them.

So, while it might sound nice that Hillary may have influenced her many supporters into to voting for Obama, this may just not be the case. It is nice to think that Hillary might have able to pull off the ultimate persuasion act, but I am afraid that just might not be the case.

The only way it will be known, as to the depth of that influence, will be in November at the many voting booths across America.

Let it go, Bill, Let it go…..

Bill Clinton just cannot shut up about his wife’s loss, can he?

Bill Clinton in Denver again undercuts Obama (TheHill.com)

Bill Clinton appeared to undermine Sen. Barack Obama again Tuesday.

The former president, speaking in Denver, posed a hypothetical question in which he seemed to suggest that that the Democratic Party was making a mistake in choosing Obama as its presidential nominee.

He said: “Suppose for example you’re a voter. And you’ve got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don’t think that person can deliver on anything. Candidate Y disagrees with you on half the issues, but you believe that on the other half, the candidate will be able to deliver. For whom would you vote?”

Oh like Hillary Clinton would be able to “deliver” on the issues any less than Barack Obama. Please. 🙄 That sounds a bit racist, if you ask me. he can’t deliver? Because he’s black?

This quote also struck me as funny as well:

Former Clinton aide and Democratic strategist Paul Begala, however, told The Hill that the former president is solidly behind Obama’s candidacy.

“He’s totally for Barack,” Begala said Tuesday. “He’s totally for Barack.”

Yeah, He’s for Barack Obama alright, he’s for Barack being strung up in a tree, with a noose.

I mean, What further prove do we need, that Bill Jeff is nothing more, than one of many racist bigots of the old school Democratic Party?

Sorry Bill, but your idiotic mouth gives you away, every time. Please, just go away. For good.

So Much for the Biden Bounce eh?

I guess that Biden bounce kind of fell flat.

Via Gallup Poll:

It’s official: Barack Obama has received no bounce in voter support out of his selection of Sen. Joe Biden to be his vice presidential running mate.

Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Aug. 23-25, the first three-day period falling entirely after Obama’s Saturday morning vice presidential announcement, shows 46% of national registered voters backing John McCain and 44% supporting Obama, not appreciably different from the previous week’s standing for both candidates. This is the first time since Obama clinched the nomination in early June, though, that McCain has held any kind of advantage over Obama in Gallup Poll Daily tracking.

The Charts:

080826DailyUpdateGraph1_hplmnbc

080826DailyUpdateGraph2_pytrwsd

The margin of error is 2%

So, I guess it is going to take more than just some old white man to convince the rest the America that Obama is the man for the Presidency.

It is quite obvious that Obama is really going to have his work cut out for him. Now I know, of course, that the convention will provide a bump in his ratings in the polls, but this does show that people are not as easily swayed as people might have thought.

It very much looks that way.

Can the Clintons get over it? They should.

Video (via Politico):

Quote:

Hillary Rodham Clinton is over it — at least when people are watching.

Within days of losing the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama, her aides said she was all business, returning to her Senate duties, telling people she would do whatever Obama asked her to do in the general election.

Bill Clinton is not over it. He’s trying, his associates say. He’s slowly getting to a better place. But his resentments from the bitter campaign battles of last winter and spring are many and diverse, and people who have spent time with him recently said they fester just below the surface.

As I have Blogged before on here. Hillary Clinton has baggage, Lots of Baggage. Obama simply did not want that sort of stigma on his campaign. He knew, for a fact, that if he had Clinton his ticket, that the Far Right Wing of the Republican Party would attack him for it.

The Clinton’s issues with Barack Obama are:

  • Obama has taken the minimum public steps necessary to accommodate the Clintons, including giving them prime-time speaking spots.
  • But he has taken few of the extra steps that Clinton allies say would have gone miles toward fostering goodwill.
  • He did not work hard to help her retire her $24 million campaign debt.
  • He did not make a high-profile statement repudiating any suggestion that Bill Clinton played “the race card” in the nomination contest — an allegation that the former president considers grossly unfair and that continues to infuriate him.

Well, can you blame him? There were a TON of tepid, awful and down right nasty things that she did. Let’s review shall we?:

Clinton saying that she didn’t think that Obama was a Muslim, as far as she knew.

The Video:

Her very stupid comment about her staying in the race, in case Obama is assassinated.

The Video:

Which drew this fiery special comment from Keith Olbermann:

There are a many, many more, but I think this suffices.

So, quite frankly, Senator Clinton is owned nothing, she, in her self centered attempt to try and divide this party, all in the name of feminism and identity politics. She has brought this snub by Obama and his followers all upon herself, despite her attempt to spin this, she is the reason that this is happened to her.

The best advise I can give Senator Clinton is to address the convention, release her delegates and simply fade away and hope that she is able to salvage what little reputation that she has left. Because quite frankly, she is nothing more than a hindrance to that Democratic Party.

Until this happens, the Democratic Party will continue to be the divided Party that it is. Which will do nothing more, but put another Neo-Conservative in the White House.

James Carville is a feckless ass…..

That’s right, I said it… and I’m proud of it.

Whining bald headed twit Carville, who was Bill Clinton’s campaign manager is whining.

Carville: Dems wasting first night (Via CNN.com)

“The way they planned it tonight was supposed to be sort of the personal — Michelle Obama will talk about Barack Obama personally, Ted Kennedy was a very personal, emotional speech,” Carville said. “But I guarantee on the first night of the Republican Convention, you’re going to hear talk about Barack Obama, commander-in-chief, tax cuts, et cetera, et cetera.”

“You haven’t heard about Iraq or John McCain or George W. Bush — I haven’t heard any of this. We are a country that is in a borderline recession, we are an 80 percent wrong-track country. Health care, energy — I haven’t heard anything about gas prices,” Carville also says. “Maybe we are going to look better Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. But right now, we’re playing hide the message.”

You know, you tell a man by his stripes, and Carville’s are is big as his pointed bald head. In case anyone has not figured it out. Carville’s just bitter because his gal Hillary did not win the Primary.

Mr. Carville, please, do America, the Democratic Party and yes, Hillary herself, and please, get the hell over it already!

I mean, I just do not understand why the hell people think that this women was even qualified to be President of the United States, I mean, seriously, what the hell has this women done, besides give Bill Clinton head in the White House? Yeah, she is a Senator. Big deal. So is Obama. I ask this, has anyone forgotten about The Waco Massacre? Has anyone forgotten about Peter F. Paul? The list goes on and on and is quite long.

The Hillary supporters simply need to get over it and themselves, and move the hell on, and try to avoid making themselves and their master Hillary Clinton from looking like a bigger buffoon that she does now.

I’m Paleo Pat and I approve this message. 😛

Barack Obama Murder Plot undercovered by Denver Police, FBI Investigating.

Video Via CBS News:

Press Conference Video:

The Story: Investigators Look Into Possible Plot To Kill Obama (Via cbs4denver.com)

CBS4 has learned at least four people are under arrest in connection with a possible plot to kill Barack Obama at his Thursday night acceptance speech in Denver. All are being held on either drug or weapons charges.

CBS4 Investigator Brian Maass reported one of the suspects told authorities they were “going to shoot Obama from a high vantage point using a … rifle … sighted at 750 yards.”

Law enforcement sources tell Maass that one of the suspects “was directly asked if they had come to Denver to kill Obama. He responded in the affirmative.”

Like many others have said about this, so far, even though we do not agree with the Politics of the Democratic Party, this sort of nonsense is totally uncalled for. However, the MSM blew it. They’re reporting that this guys are White Supremacists. I checked on a well-known White Nationalist forum website, and they’re saying these guys are interlopers or something. Because most White Nationalists are against drug use, of any sort. In fact, they’re accusing of the DNC of staging this to cause the American people to vote for Obama out of pity. The DNC, I don’t buy, Hillary? Perhaps.

Seriously, This is quite sick, I hope that they put these losers behind bars for good.

Conservative Blogger Michelle Malkin Harassed by 9/11 Truther Alex Jones – Update: To be clear, Alex Jones DID NOT threaten Malkin….

Here’s the Video, Via The People’s Press Collective:

The protesters were hollering “Kill Michelle Malkin“. The Denver Police did nothing.

This is absolutely inexcusable. I always knew Alex Jones was a nutcase, now I know this to be the case. Alex Jones you are disgrace to America, you ignorant asshole, son-of-a-bitch.

My question is, why was not Michelle’s entourage armed and ready for something like this? I would have stuck a gun in Jones’s face and told him to hit the road. I most likely would have went to jail for murder too. 😡

Mr. Jones, you are history in my book. I’ll never go back to that nut-job’s site. Hell, I’m a Paleo-Conservative, but that man goes beyond that, he’s a freakin’ nut case.

I am all for the Freedom of Speech, but this idiot crossed the line and the feckless idiot police in Denver did nothing at all. Alex Jones belongs in jail, period.

Update: Some readers here have pointed out, and some elsewhere have pointed out that the persons saying “Kill Michelle Malkin” were not with Alex Jones. This may be the case. But still, Alex Jones has NO RIGHT to stalk and scream at people like that. If were there, I have maced the guy in the face, or worse, if need be. My point is, the dude is still an Nut Job and should be in jail, period.

So Much for all that Democrat Party Unity…..

According to Hillary, everything is just okie dokie, hope change and all that:

“Every one of us could stand up and recite all the reasons why we must elect Barack. The Supreme Court is at stake; our educational system needs the right kind of change. We’ve got to become energy independent; we have to create millions of new green collar jobs. We’ve got so much work to do around the world."

"None of that will happen if John McCain is in the White House. I just want to make it absolutely clear we cannot afford four more years of George W. Bush’s failed policies in America and that’s what we would get with John McCain."

However, The Washington Post reports:

A number of Sen. Hillary Clinton’s top advisers will not be staying in Denver long enough to hear Barack Obama accept the nomination for
president, according to sources familiar with their schedules.

Clinton will deliver her speech Tuesday night. She will hold a private meeting with her top financial supporters Wednesday at noon, and will
thank her delegates at an event that afternoon. Former president Bill Clinton will speak that night. Several of Hillary Clinton’s supporters
are then planning to leave town. Among them, Terry McAuliffe, Clinton’s campaign chairman, and longtime supporters Steve Rattner and Maureen
White. Another of Clinton’s top New York fundraisers, Alan Patricof, did not make the trip to Denver.

Robert Zimmerman, a Clinton supporter who is trying now to navigate between the two camps, will be staying for Obama’s speech. But he said
in an interview that it would be unrealistic to expect there would not still be some tension between the two camps — he noted that the same
was true with supporters of Gary Hart and, to a lesser extent, Howard Dean.

"This convention provides a very important opportunity for the Obama campaign to bond with the constituencies that supported Hillary Clinton," Zimmerman said. "It’s not about Barack or Hillary. It’s about bringing in the people here who voted for Hillary Rodham Clinton. Senator Obama and Senator Biden are, without question, qualified to do that."

While the words of the Democratic Party might be Hope, Change and Unity. Their actions say a totally different story. Which is sad. I feel that if you are going to say something, mean it. Don’t say something and mean something else. It is hypocritical.

Sean Wilentz speaks from the heart

I have been sitting here for the last hour or so, trying to figure out how to Blog about this article.

It is an very interesting article by Sean Wilentz. It appears in Newsweek, who is basically a partner with MSNBC.

In this rather revealing article, Sean proceeds to lay out the factual history of the Democratic Party and it’s struggle to wrangle the White House out of the control of the Republican Party. Sean also shows how, how Kennedy and other Democratic Presidents was not only well known for their speaking ability, but also known for their substance as well.

Sean writes:

The convergence is revealing. As Republican strategists have begun to notice with delight, Obama’s liberal alternative to the post-Bush GOP to date has much in common with Carter’s post-Watergate liberalism. Rejecting “politics as usual,” attacking “Washington” as the problem, promising to heal the breaches and hurts caused by partisan political polarization, pledging to break the grip that lobbyists and special interests hold over the national government, wearing his Christian faith on his sleeve as a key to his mind, heart and soul—in all of these ways, Obama resembles Jimmy Carter more than he does any other Democratic president in living memory.

In other ways, Obama’s liberal vision appears clouded, uncertain and even contradictory. During his four years in Washington, he has compiled one of the most predictably liberal voting records in the Senate—yet he presents himself as an advocate of bipartisanship and ideological flexibility. He has offered himself as the tribune of sweeping change—yet he also proclaims national unity, as if transformation can come without struggle. He has emerged as the champion of a new, post-racial politics, even though he has only grudgingly separated himself from his pastor of 20 years, who every week preached a gospel of “black liberation theology” that has everything to do with racial politics.

The most obvious change to liberal politics Obama has to offer is the color of his skin. Some of his supporters have, whether wittingly or not, been candid enough to say, as Sen. John Kerry did last March, that Obama’s blackness is the rationale for making him president. But it is difficult to square such claims with Obama’s appeal to a liberalism that transcends race. And when Obama himself subtly and not so subtly draws attention to his color, and charges that the John McCain Republicans will try to scare voters by saying he “doesn’t look like all those presidents on the dollar bills,” he turns voting for him into an intrinsically virtuous act, proof that one has resisted base appeals to racism (which, in fact, the McCain campaign has not made).

Much of Obama’s appeal to the left stems from what might be called the romance of the community organizer. Although his organizing career on Chicago’s South Side was brief and, by his own admission, unremarkable, it distinguishes him as another first of his kind in presidential politics, a candidate who looks at politics from the bottom up. For the left, community organizing trumps party politics and experience in government. Some even imagine that Obama is a secret radical, and they see his emergence as an unparalleled opportunity for advancing their frustrated agendas about issues ranging from the redistribution of wealth to curtailing U.S. power abroad.

Obama still has a long way to go to describe the kind of liberalism he stands for, how it meets the enormous challenges of the present—and how it will meet as-yet-unanticipated challenges after the election. Nowhere is this more crucial than in the harsh and volatile realm of foreign policy. Last winter, when his candidacy gained traction, Obama’s foreign-policy credentials consisted almost entirely of a speech he gave before a left-wing rally in Chicago in 2002, denouncing the impending invasion of Iraq as “a dumb war.” That speech, made by a state senator representing a liberal district that included the University of Chicago, and that went unreported in the Chicago Tribune’s lengthy article on the rally, was enough to convince many of his supporters that he is blessed with superior acumen and good instincts about foreign affairs. Later comments, such as his promise, later softened, to meet directly and “without preconditions” with the leaders of Iran and other supporters of terrorism, pleased left-wing Democrats and young antiwar voters as a sign of boldness—even as they left experienced diplomats in wonder at such half-baked formulations.

I must say that I admire Mr. Wilentz for having the chutzpah to be honest enough to admit that the one, that the media has pushed forward as the Democrat that will change America, might just be lacking in substance.

I mean, I realize that there are Neo-Conservatives that are loudly snickering, because this man is saying this. But I personally admire the man for having the intellectual honesty to say what he is feeling. It is not a popular sermon to preach, so to speak. Especially in the Church of Obama.

I must say, that I totally agree with his assessment of Obama as well. No, not because of his skin color, that is a simple minded and quite foolish assumption. I agree with it, because it is the simple facts. Obama just does not have the Political Experience that the many other great leaders of the historic Democratic Party.  The Democratic Party saw a title wave and decided to capitalize upon it. This is why Hillary lost, not only just because she ran a lousy campaign. It was because America wanted something new and the Democrats decided that a new, fresh face was more important than depth and experience.

Now whether is was because of Identity Politics or just an outright euphorically charged decision will for the history books to decide.

However, what is known is this, Obama really needs to tighten up his Campaign message, he has to prove, not just to his Democratic base, but to the rest of America, that he is a person of sound judgement and will be able to lead the White House in not only times of peace, but also in times of crisis. This is what Hillary’s message was. However, because the Media was so focused on Obama, they totally ignored that message.

Kudo’s to Mr. Wilentz for having the courage to speak, what many in America, whether Democrat, Republican or Independent are thinking in America today and will be up till the election in November.

Democratic Party regains it’s mind, restores voting rights to Michigan

So much for the Democratic way of sticking to one’s principles.

Via The Detroit News:

The Democratic Party on Sunday ended — for now — the long fight over Michigan’s presidential primary, approving Barack Obama’s request to give Michigan and Florida full voting rights at the national convention that begins here today.

The move by the convention’s Credentials Committee officially reverses the party’s decision last year to punish the two renegade states for holding primaries before their assigned dates. In separate votes, and with the intention of unifying the party, the panel approved the full seating of Michigan and Florida with no debate or opposing votes.

“We succeeded in challenging the system,” said Michigan’s senior U.S. senator, Carl Levin, a longtime opponent of the early contests held in Iowa and especially New Hampshire.

“It wasn’t as smooth as we had hoped, but we succeeded in landing on our feet.”

I suppose the readers of this Blog, especially those who are Conservatives, think that now that the little voting right issue is resolved that Mr. Paleo Pat here will go hopping and skipping back to Democratic Party. Well, think again.

If you think for one solitary second that I would ever, ever! Go back to party that advocates the wholesale abortion of unborn Babies, a party that thrives on the practice of Identity Politics, a party that advocates and even promotes the homosexual lifestyle, a party that advocates that utter disrespect for our Nation’s military, the party that wants this Nation to adapt a strategy of, yes, I use the damn term, “Cut and Run” or as I like to call it. “We lost, Let’s quit”, in Iraq and Afghanistan. You are absolutely and abjectly out of your god-forsaken mind.

There’s no way I would ever, not in a million years, go back to that party. I’ve learned too much, I’ve Blogged too much about them, I know the lies, the deceptions that they heap upon the American people, who are, as Andrew P. Napolitano astutely put it, a nation of sheep.

I am a Independent, Libertarian Conservative, and so shall I remain until I take my last dying breath.

Interesting News: Edwards campaign giving refunds, but not to small donors.

This is a very interesting news, which comes to us, by fellow Conservative Blogger LBG1 over at Death by 1000 Papercuts or DBKP for short.

It seems that John Edwards is giving much of his money back to the “Big Bundlers” some of whom are convicted felons. But according to DBKP, not much of it is going back to the Grassroots supporters.

LBG1 Writes:

We found it interesting, at a time when Warren Buffet on CNBC This Morning (courtesy Mickey Kaus at Slate) mused whether Edwards’ contributors should file a class-action suit to get their money back, there’s a whole other “class” of individuals who’ve received their refund. And what an interesting “class” we found:

Out of 667 “bundlers” or designated fundraisers, 276 or 40%, had received a refund of their individual contributions. Not only did the individual bundlers get their money back but in some cases so did their family members.

Other refundees included Fred Baron, Edwards’ former national finance campaign chairman in both the ‘04 and ‘08 elections. Baron recently admitted that he had been monetarily “helping” Edwards’ ex-mistress, Rielle Hunter. The list includes some of Edwards’ largest bundlers, Thomas Girardi, John O’Quinn, and William Lerash, as well as other “famous” refundees: Michael Eisner, Don Henley, Eric Montross, and Michigan Congressman (D) David Bonoir of Michigan.

We took a look at the Edwards campaign website to see if there was any info listed on how to get a refund and came up empty-handed.

We’ve included a list of Edward’s bundlers who have received a refund as well the “moneybags” behind Edwards who got their money back too:

According to Insider Exclusive, Thomas Girardi was named the “The Billion Dollar Gentleman” by the L.A. Daily Journal for $1 billion in verdicts and settlements over a two-year period.

According to Opensecrets.org, Girardi’s firm, Girardi and Keese donated $43,000 to Edwards’ campaign. Thomas Girardi, the founder of the firm, received his Edwards’ refund check as well as members of his family.

Interesting indeed, one has to wonder why the MSM has not covered this story? Could it be that they were possibly bought off by Edwards to prevent him for going though anymore embarrassment? I mean the Liberal media did seem to have a very cozy relationship with Edwards, when they were not ignoring him.

It just makes me wonder, if Edward’s donors, the one’s who gave of their time, money and resources will be wanting their money back. I will admit this, I kind of did like Edwards, his laid back southern manner appealed to the Southern man in me. Although, I did find his politics quite hypocritical, considering how he lived on a multi-million dollar ranch and all.

An exit question: Is Hillary refunding any of her donations?

From my inbox….Catharsis?

This arrived in my e-mail inbox this morning…. a rather humorous video.

Notice how they played it so straight? I mean, it is pretty darned good. Something tells me that if this was a real product, the PUMA’s would be buying this by the crate.

Exit question: If Catharsis for Hillary, then what for Bill?

Say What?!?!?! Liberals to edit Led Zeppelin?

(H/T to 123Beta)

Liberals want to edit Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta love”. What?!?!

Via UK Telegraph:

After choosing the song for the closing ceremony on Sunday they decided that some of the lyrics would have to be omitted or re-written amid concerns that they could cause offence.

The song was chosen as the centrepiece of an eight-minute £2.5million British segment at the event in Beijing at which the Olympic flag will be officially passed to the London Mayor Boris Johnson.

Organisers of the London 2012 Games commissioned the band’s guitarist Jimmy Page to record a new version of the song to be performed on top of a special red double-decker bus accompanied by Leona Lewis, winner of the ITV reality television show The X Factor, with David Beckham looking on.

But, according to London 2012 officials, Lewis – who grew up in east London close to the Olympic site – requested a change to the song’s second verse because she was worried they would not make sense for a female singer.

In the original, recorded in 1969, frontman Robert Plant sings, “I’m gonna give you every inch of my love”.

But in the version that will be sung tomorrow, however, Lewis changes the words to “every bit” of my love.

The band also agreed to a request from organisers to drop the third verse, which includes similar sexual innuendoes, to fit in to the eight-minute performance.

Oy! Talk about political correctness gone horribly wrong.

Poor Jimmy page man…

Cue the song!

Tampering with Zeppelin?!?!? It ought to be a crime!

A Pity: Man with guns, tries to check into same hotel as Pelosi, Pelosi unhurt.

I am watching that Communist Liberal idiot Bitch on MSNBC’s Meet the Press. She’s trying, very poorly, to defend her position of being against offshore drilling. She’s a living, breathing example of why a woman, much less, a Liberal woman, has no place in politics. She needs to go home and bake cookies and leave the politics to the men folk.

The Story: Man arrested carrying weapons at Pelosi hotel (Via The Denver Post)

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was briefly evacuated from her downtown Denver hotel on Saturday when a man carrying two hunting rifles and two pistols tried to check in to the hotel.

Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley said 29-year-old Joseph Calanchini of Pinedale, Wyo., faces a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon after police officers at the Grand Hyatt hotel noticed him carrying a rifle-type case while checking in. Calanchini did not have a concealed weapons permit, said Lance Clem, spokesman for the Colorado Department of Public Safety.

Wiley said authorities were not releasing information about whether the weapons were loaded because the case remained under investigation. Wiley said the charge is the same whether the weapons were loaded or unloaded.

Pelosi and other guests briefly evacuated the hotel but were never in danger, Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly said.

Calanchini remained at Denver City Jail Sunday on $10,000 bond, said Denver Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Steckman.

Authorities were investigating a report that Calanchini was in town on business and had had the weapons worked upon, including mounting of site scopes, to prepare for an upcoming hunting trip.

“The speaker was never in any danger and she appreciates the quick and professional response of the police,” said Daly.

Arrested?? The guy deserves a damn medal. It’s just a damn pity that the guy was not there to put that miserable communist liberal bitch out of her own misery.

I’m Paleo Pat and I approve this message. 😛

This could be a problem for Biden

Just when you think you know a guy…. Stuff like this comes out…

This via the Washington Post:

A son and a brother of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) are accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went sour, court records show.

The
Democratic vice presidential candidate’s son Hunter, 38, and brother
James, 59, assert instead that their former partner defrauded them by
misrepresenting his experience in the hedge fund industry and
recommending that they hire a lawyer with felony convictions.

The
legal actions have been playing out in New York State Supreme Court
since 2007, and they focus on Hunter and James Biden’s involvement in
Paradigm Companies LLC, a hedge fund group. Hunter Biden, a Washington
lobbyist, briefly served as president of the firm.

A lawsuit
filed by their former partner Anthony Lotito Jr. asserts in court
papers that the deal was crafted to get Hunter Biden out of lobbying
because his father was concerned about the impact it would have on his bid for the White House. Biden was running for the Democratic nomination at the time the suit was filed.

Hunter Biden was made president with an annual salary of $1.2 million, despite his inexperience in the hedge fund industry,
the lawsuit said. Before that, he had been part of the Washington law
firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair, which earned $1.76 million in
lobbying revenue in the first half of 2006, according to Congressional
Quarterly’s CQ MoneyLine. One of its biggest clients is the National
Association of Shareholder and Consumer Attorneys, a District-based
group representing law firms specializing in investment and corporate
law.

Hunter Biden is one of many children and relatives of
prominent members of Congress who have made their careers as lobbyists.
He returned to lobbying after less than a year with Paradigm.

Lotito’s
lawsuit alleges that James Biden called him in January 2006 to arrange
a job for Hunter Biden. It says James Biden told him that his brother
(Sen. Biden) “was concerned with the
impact that Hunter’s lobbying activities might have on his expected
campaign for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination,”
and,
“Biden told Lotito that, in light of these concerns, his brother had
asked him to seek Lotito’s assistance in finding employment for Hunter
in a non-lobbying capacity.”

However, what is not being quoted by most of the anti-obama Blogs is:

The campaign of Sens. Barack Obama and Biden declined to comment on the case, referring questions to Nicholas Gravante Jr., a lawyer representing Hunter and James Biden. Gravante said assertions that Joseph Biden told his brother he was concerned about his son’s lobbying are “absolutely false.”

“This lawsuit has nothing to do with Joe Biden, and there is absolutely no truth to those allegations,” Gravante said. “It is a business dispute between former partners. The suit is baseless.

Brian C. Wille, an attorney for Lotito, said the lawsuit alleges no wrongdoing by Sen. Biden, only that his concerns set in motion the business deal.

“There was a concern that Hunter Biden’s role as a lobbyist would have an impact on the senator’s proposed presidential run,” Wille said. “That’s what James Biden told Mr. Lotito. . . . Was it true? Who knows? There is no allegation the senator was involved in any of these events.”

In an affidavit, Hunter Biden said his father had nothing to do with the deal and that it is Lotito who swindled the Bidens.

He said Lotito lied about being a “fully licensed and accredited securities professional” with hedge fund experience.

In addition, he said Lotito recommended a lawyer to vet the business deal who was under investigation and was ultimately convicted on several felony charges of conspiracy and wire and mail fraud in a scheme to steal millions from a computer company.

So, before anyone jumps to any conclusions. Be sure you read the entire story, before you pass judgment.

It is really sad that WaPo would even put out this story in an effort to derail Biden’s popularity or to bring doubt into the minds of those voting. It speaks to the sick and sad state of our Main Stream Media.

Report shows that Social Security is just fine.

I was looking at the upcoming stories this morning.

A liberal think tank organization released a news piece of the shape of social security and it’s status. Turns out it is just fine.

Well, right away, some on the right are crying “Foul“!

Because there was a gross distortion of the facts? Uhmm.. No, because they did not link the source article.

Well, here it is guys… The report in question, in PDF format.

From the Congressional Budget Office, Director’s Blog:

Today we released a paper on updated long-term projection for Social Security. (Our last long-term projection for social security was included in the December 2007 Long-Term Budget Outlook.) As CBO has highlighted in previous reports, the number of Social Security beneficiaries will grow considerably as the baby boomers become eligible for retirement benefits. Absent legislative changes, spending for the program will therefore climb substantially and exceed the program’s revenues. CBO projects that the 75-year actuarial imbalance in the program amounts to 0.38 percent of GDP, or 1.06 percent of taxable payroll.

The projections released today differ somewhat from earlier results because of newly available programmatic and economic data, updated assumptions about future demographic and economic trends, and improvements in CBO’s models. For example, these projections assume that future immigrants will be younger and more numerous than was assumed in 2007. (This change was included in the 2008 Social Security trustees’ report; CBO adopts the trustees’ aggregate demographic assumptions.) As a result of this and other changes, CBO projects somewhat smaller future deficits than we did in our 2007 projections.

CBO’s long-term Social Security projections have always shown both a point estimate and the range within which 80 percent of the possible values are likely to fall. In this update, however, CBO has expanded its uncertainty presentation. Many figures and tables still show the 10th and 90th percentiles of various measures, but new presentations show the probabilities of specific outcomes.

Here is an example of our new presentation. A table in today’s report shows the probability that Social Security outlays will exceed revenues by a specified percentage of GDP in a selected year. For example, the likelihood that outlays will exceed revenues in 2030 is about 97 percent, CBO projects, and there is almost a 50 percent chance that the gap will be larger than 1 percentage point of GDP; the chance of its being 2 percentage points (or more) of GDP is only 6 percent.

Another new table shows the probability, for different birth cohorts, that the Social Security trust funds will be sufficient to pay specified percentages of scheduled benefits. According to CBO’s projections, the 1940s cohort, for example, is virtually certain to receive all of its scheduled first-year benefit. The 1990s cohort has only a 32 percent chance of receiving all of its scheduled first-year benefit but an 84 percent chance of receiving at least 70 percent of that benefit.

Both the analyses that show 10th and 90th percentiles and the new presentations are based on the same underlying data, but we hope that the different perspectives will help to communicate uncertainty more fully to readers.

Gee guys, it’s called goggle. (and not THE Google, as called by Keith Olbermann, it is not a living thing!)  it cannot be that hard to look up. 🙄

No wonder the majority of Americans believe that the Republican Party is filled with idiots. It might just be because it is! 😆

Memo to the Clinton supporters: Will you just get the hell over it already?

Jesus H. freakin’ Christ, this election cycle, for a Blogger like me, is like leading a circular firing squad.

First off, we have Neo-Conservative idiot William Kristol wanting to see nothing short of a floor fight at the Democratic Convention. Oh, I am absolutely sure that Kristol and his gang of Neo-Conservative morons would love nothing more than to see a giant floor fight, complete with (dare I say it?) the assassination of Barack Obama and the chaotic collapse of the Democratic Party into a smoldering heap. This all would be so the Neo-Conservatives could get to John McCain and continue to control Washington D.C. for the next 4 years. Thereby truly continuing the Neo-Conservative agenda in this Country.

Two words Kristol: Keep Dreaming!

If that is not enough to make a man want to take up drinking stiff whiskey, you have former Hillary supporters who are outraged! Outraged, I say! About the fact that Hillary Clinton was not even offered the position of Vice President.

Remember what I said about that circular firing squad? Well, hold on, hope you don’t get dizzy easy.

Listen people, Hillary Clinton, by most accounts, did not even WANT the job of Barack Obama’s Vice President. If she even did, could you freakin’ imagine that vetting process? I mean, people, Bill Clinton took funding from suspected terrorists overseas to build that freakin’ library of his! Not mention the fact that Bill Clinton seriously screwed over a guy, by the name of Peter F. Paul, who was business partners with Stan Lee. Heck, Peter F. Paul has living breathing evidence that Hillary Herself committed a felony during her fundrasing during her senate election campaign.

Not to even mention that if Barry had said, “Okay, forget the vetting, you can be my V.P.” Could you imagine that absolute shit-storm that the far, far, right would have created had Hillary been accepted for the Vice President? You have to know that the far right would have been digging for every last piece of media footage from the Waco compound siege in Waco, Texas and using it for Ads against Obama. Not to mention, The Monica scandal, Travel Gate, White Water, Vince Foster, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

Barack Obama might be a far lefty Liberal, but people, he is no dummy. Yeah, Biden might have a little baggage from a 1988 President campaign when he copied a speech. But honestly, that is absolutely nothing like the baggage that Hillary Clinton comes with. I mean, the two just are not comparable.

To the hardened Hillary supporters, I simply say this. I do not like anymore than you that Hillary lost. I think what the Democrat Party did here in Michigan and in Florida was absolutely wrong. But, unless your Party does something to change the rules of selection for President of United States, there’s nothing that can be done about it. The states moved up their primaries, and the DNC decided to punish them for it. Unless there are rule changes, that is just the way it is. I mean, standing around sucking your thumb and stamping your feet is not going to change a thing. I mean, seriously, do you, as an American citizen want to see four more years of George W. Bush?!?!?! That would be absolutely insane. You all just need to get the hell over it, and hope the Hillary decides to run again in 2012 or 2016. By that time, if Barry is a lame duck by then, Hillary will have a clear shot at the White House. That is, if she has not stroked out or something.

I hate to say this, But I KNEW this was coming……

Call me naive, call me stupid, call me, well, racist. But this article is nothing more than nuanced, glamorized bullshit.

Racism is the only reason Obama might lose. By Jacob Weisberg (Via Slate Magazine)

What with the Bush legacy of reckless war and economic mismanagement, 2008 is a year that favors the generic Democratic candidate over the generic Republican one. Yet Barack Obama, with every natural and structural advantage in the presidential race, is running only neck-and-neck against John McCain, a sub-par Republican nominee with a list of liabilities longer than a Joe Biden monologue. Obama has built a crack political operation, raised record sums, and inspired millions with his eloquence and vision. McCain has struggled with a fractious campaign team, lacks clarity and discipline, and remains a stranger to charisma. Yet at the moment, the two of them appear to be tied. What gives?

If it makes you feel better, you can rationalize Obama’s missing 10-point lead on the basis of Clintonite sulkiness, his slowness in responding to attacks, or the concern that Obama may be too handsome, brilliant, and cool to be elected. But let’s be honest: If you break the numbers down, the reason Obama isn’t ahead right now is that he trails badly among one group, older white voters. He does so for a simple reason: the color of his skin.

What baloney!

The National Journal named Barack Obama as one the most liberal senators in Washington D.C.

Not to mention his wacky pastor, his associations with unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers. Not mention his disdain for those who actually believe in a God, think that it’s our constitutional right to own and carry a gun, and would like see illegal immigration stopped and our border secured.

No, it’s none of that, it’s because white people, like me, are racist. 🙄

Of course, if a white conservative, like myself, says that Barack Obama would not be where he is, if it were not for the color of his skin, we’re racists. If a white conservative, like me, says that B. Hussein Obama, ol’ Barry the Magic Negro, is nothing more than a product of a un-constitutional civil rights act, passed by a communist infiltrated, liberal congress in 1964, we’re racist.

If Barack Obama was a white man, he’d working in law office somewhere and wouldn’t be able to get a job as a shoeshine boy (or he’d he shining something! Larry Craig’s ummm.. car? ) in the capital building in Washington D.C.

But if people, like me, say that. We’re racists….

Identity Politics, you have to just love it.

Sometimes, I wish Biden HAD won the primary. Maybe we’d have a chance that this election would be fairly carried out, and without all the white guilt and race hustling and baiting.

You ask me, what do I have against a Democrat, much less a black Democrat getting into the White House? I give you the best, the most perfect example of why I feel it would be a total disaster for a corrupt black Democrat to be in the White House. I only ask that you look in my home town. Detroit, Michigan.

If that is not a good enough reason, I do not know what is.

As I expected…..

The McCain campaign is already rolling out ads against Biden.

This coming from an old fool, who cannot even tell people how many houses he owns.

Quote:

“I think — I’ll have my staff get to you,” McCain told Politico in Las Cruces, N.M. “It’s condominiums where — I’ll have them get to you.

If he doesn’t how many houses he owns, how can he possibly criticize anyone else?

….and don’t even get me started on McCain’s integrity. (can you say….Keating five?)

Ouch!

Via FOX Embeds:

After Joe Biden slammed Rudy Giuliani during a debate last year with his famous line that a sentence for the New York mayor consists only of
a noun, a verb and 9/11, Hizzoner’s camp returned fire with a comment that looks a little more amusing given the day’s news.

Then-Giuliani Communications Director Katie Levinson shot back with this sharp retort:

“Senator Biden has never run anything but his mouth. Such a desperate attack from Senator Biden is to be expected considering I –
Katie Levinson – have a better chance of becoming President than he does,” the statement concluded.

Not the first thing the Giuliani campaign miscalculated…

Ohhhhh Snap! That’s gonna leave a mark! and this is from Fox? 😯 😮 Wow!

The Video in Question:

I like the look on Hillary and Edward’s face…

It is official: Obama/Biden for 2008

You know it’s a big Political story when I bounce my fat butt out of bed at 7:00 in the morning! 😀 😉

I’m talking about the big, Big, BIG story…. That Barack Obama has selected Joe Biden for his running mate for President of the United States.

You have to know that John McCain’s campaign is in “Oh Crap!” and hunker down mode right about now. Because no matter who John McCain selects as his running mate, he is going to be a open target for Obama’s new attack dog.

I mean, at this point, no matter who McCain selects, McCain is going to have trouble. If McCain selects Joe Lieberman, McCain will be seen by the Republican and Conservative base as a traitor. If McCain selects Mitt Romney, he will be seen by the majority of America as a out of touch, rich elitist. Heck, even Tom Ridge is not ever well liked by the Republican base. So, unless McCain picks a second tier political person, McCain is going to be screwed.

I mean consider this statement by the campaign:

“There has been no harsher critic of Barack Obama’s lack of experience than Joe Biden,” said McCain spokesman Ben Porritt. “Biden has denounced Barack Obama’s poor foreign policy judgment and has strongly argued in his own words what Americans are quickly realizing — that Barack Obama is not ready to be President.”

One Word: Lame. Seriously, is that the best damned line that the John McCain’s herd of paid lackeys could come up with? Bringing up something from the Primary?!?!?!

What does Biden brings to the table? Experience of all sorts, Foreign Policy, DC Beltway, and just a general sense of “I’ve been around for a while”. Not to mention, he makes one hell of a good attack dog. He is, in fact, a Kennedy type, except for that he’s not nearly as wealthy. So, he’s the real deal. Disclosure: I would have voted for Biden, had he made it to the Michigan Primary.

You know, I am well-known on this blog for my quite controversial statements. So, as a parting shot, let me hand this word of warning to the McCain campaign. John McCain had better hide his balls in Cindy’s purse, because if he doesn’t, Joe Biden will hand McCain’s balls to him on a plate and will make him eat them.

It is going to be one HELL of interesting election season.
