Swineheart, Pigheart, Heartburn, Who cares??!?!

Yes, Only I would quote a line from a three stooges flick to title a story about a flu epidemic…..

Like AllahPundit, It is times like these; when I am glad that the majority of my time, is spent in front of my laptop.  Now, if I could just convince my dad to stay in the house. Yeah, good luck with that. 🙄  This is a guy that has A.D.H.D worse than me. (Undiagnosed, of course…) The man is always on the go.

Unless you have been hiding under a rock; you most likely know that there is a very serious flu epidemic that is happening to our south, in Mexico. (Yes, that Mexico, with the drug wars.) What is worse, there are some cases of it being reported here in America as well. Which is not good at all.

Meanwhile, in the Conservative/right wing/Republican Blogosphere things are bit; shall we say, Varied. While the Neo-Conservatives are making a valid point that maybe now the US Government will take the illegal immigration problem seriously.  Some others on the right are really milking this for what it is worth. I do not know which is worse, or more stupid; the idiots who are reporting that a man, that the President met with in Mexican died the next day, with flu-like symptoms, while insinuating on their Blogs that “maybe he will get it and die too!”  Then there is the tin-foil hat crowd that is now claiming the United States of America actually made this virus up in it’s medical labs, so that it could distribute bad vaccines to people, in order to kill them off, all the while making a profit.  No wonder the rest of American thinks that Conservatives are a bunch of crazy gun grabbing, Bible thumping, crazies. 🙄

How any person could use a situation like this to hustle Americans with ignorant paranoia and sleep at night, is well beyond me.  Further more, how anyone can make such sick insinuations on a Blog and be able to sleep at night, is beyond me as well. Here is hoping that these people catch this disease and die themselves, God knows; the Conservative community would be so much better off, without them.

Anyhow, Mexico is working on containing the virus and our Government is as well. Something tells that this will be a non-story within days.

No, I do not get paid $75,000 a year!

I am always the last person in the world to find this sort of stuff out. Mark Penn, the person we all know, who make Hillary Clinton look like a buffoon in this last election, says this about Blogging:

Demographically, bloggers are extremely well educated: three out of every four are college graduates. Most are white males reporting above-average incomes. One out of three young people reports blogging, but bloggers who do it for a living successfully are 2% of bloggers overall. It takes about 100,000 unique visitors a month to generate an income of $75,000 a year. Bloggers can get $75 to $200 for a good post, and some even serve as “spokesbloggers” — paid by advertisers to blog about products. As a job with zero commuting, blogging could be one of the most environmentally friendly jobs around — but it can also be quite profitable. For sites at the top, the returns can be substantial. At some point the value of the Huffington Post will no doubt pass the value of the Washington Post.

The barriers to entry couldn’t be lower. Most bloggers for hire pay $80 to get started, do it for about 35 months, and make a few hundred dollars. But a subgroup of these bloggers are the true professionals who work at corporations, serve as highly paid blogging consultants or write for sites with substantial traffic.

Pros who work for companies are typically paid $45,000 to $90,000 a year for their blogging. One percent make over $200,000. And they report long hours — 50 to 60 hours a week.

via America’s Newest Profession – Mark Penn – WSJ.com.

I humbly submit that this is very much news to me.   To be fair, Penn is referring to two very different kinds of blogging.   The first is the corporate blogger, someone who is employed by a existing company to Blog about said sundry subject. Which I happen to think would get god-awfully stale after a while. The other, is the kind of blogger, that I feel is the epitome of lame; the sponsored post blogger.  These are the writers who, as far as I am concerned; should be donning a dress and whoring their bodies out on the street corner. Because in essence, they are being “Pimped Out,” as it were, by their sponsors.  I am all for capitalism, very much so; but I happen to find these people who are doing nothing more than writing glamorized spam blog postings. Which, frankly, I find nauseating.

Do not misunderstand me; I am all for the idea of capitalistic Blogging world. But I believe in earning revenue from writing about legit subject; such as Politics, Celebrity, Technical items and so forth.  I also believe the revenue should come from incidental items, such as Advertising. I believe that the whole idea of a “Sponsored Posting” is the equivalent of  Blogging prostitution. Why am I so against this? Because it cheapens the profession of blogging, it also cheapens the value of the writer.

On the other hand, writing for a political magazine; like The American Conservative, Taki’s Magazine, The Politico, or any of the other great ones; is every bloggers dream job.  Yes, it would be the quite the awesome thing to have say, The Washington Times call me up and ask to blog for them. That would be the ideal position. Although, I will admit, if I had my choice. I’d rather write for possibly the New York Daily News, Harper’s, The New Yorker; something in vogue. Although, I tend to believe that my hardened Conservative views would not be appreciatied at those fine establishments. I would not even remotely consider TownHall or The Weekly Standard. Those are places that I do not wish my name to be associated with. As they are not considered among the general populous is legit sources of information, but rather political propaganda rags.

So, as you most likely have seen the other Bloggers write. We bloggers will be keeping our day jobs. Well, those of us who actually have day jobs. 🙄 Until some serious changes happen in this bastard economy, this is my damned day job! 😡 Hope and Change my ass!

Uh, Allah…..No.

This is reponse to AllahPundit’s question.

Why?

Because I go to HotAir to find out what Conservatives, not liberal douche nozzles, are talking about.

Yeah, I know; Wilsonian Neo-Conservatives Blah Blah Blah woof woof woof ect ect ect and so forth… BUT!

Putting a Liberal section on there would be pure freakin’ bedlam and would get real old real fast. Ya’ll think HotAir’s harsh now? Ha! Put a Liberal section in and see how damn hard it gets to moderate!

I mean, there’s already people saying that HotAir’s got the consistency of a mental ward grade schizophrenic. Ya’ll don’t need no more help! 😉

Just a thought. 😀

(edited to fix a rather funny typo. Metal Ward? Hmmm.. Steel Shop crazies?!?!? Har! I’ve always known Conservatives to be hardheaded. )

HotAir.com’s “Green Room” – Just another Neo-Conservative echo chamber

As you all know, I am a proud Paleo-Conservative. But I do read HotAir.com, to get a feel about what is being talked about. I happen to notice that they created a new “sub-Blog” for the some of the more ass kissing preferred commentator’s over there.

Great. Another Neo-Conservative Blog that’s nothing more than a Neo-Conservative echo chamber.  🙄

I say this, because I only see people, that tow the line of the Neo-Conservative message; nobody from the “Old Right” school, like Daniel Larison, Robert Stacy McCain (Correction: He is there! 😮 )  or any of the writers from Taki’s Magazine or from @TAC. Just the same old echo chamber group.  So, while there might be a new paint job and a slight addition, it is the just same ol’, same ol’ with a new paint job.

On related note; I was once again tossed out of the chat-room over there. For daring.. DARING… to ask a moderator to actually do his job. You see, there’s this idiot over there; that shows his face, now and again, who is, quite frankly, an idiot liberal troll. Well, he’s got some sort of gay crush on me or something and likes to Private Message me. Well, I essentially told the tool to fuck off and leave me alone.  I then, asked to the moderator, in some not so nice tones, in the chat-room to try doing his job. Well, that was not to be allowed, and I was kicked, and I guess banned from the chat-room.

Am I angry? Nah! I guess I really was not very well liked anyhow. Partially, because I am not some sort of Sarah Palin worshipping idiot and because I happen to think Zionism is about a fucking joke; as is the Republican Party, at the moment. So, while I was a bit disappointed that I was tossed, as I enjoyed some of the banter in there; it was more of a time waster and the content of my blog was suffering for it. My time would be better served actually creating content for my blog, rather than sitting and listening to a bunch of Neo-Con yowl about limited Government out of one corner of thier mouths and how the Government should tell women, what they can and cannot do with thier bodies, out of the other corner.

Now, before anyone nails me or jumps me on the subject of abortion. I believe Abortion is a MORAL issue, it should never be a legislative issue. Period. End of story.

So, while it was fun, while it lasted, again. It is really no big loss on my part. 😀

AARP Responds to Liberal Bloggers

Remember when I wrote about the Liberal Bloggers complaining about not getting paid to promote the special causes? Well, it seems that AARP is talking back:

Because we understand the influence and reach of online communities we have worked with BlogAds, an important resource for marketers targeting blog communities, on targeted ad campaigns over the last year. On May 4, 2007, Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas stated that, “…Blogads has been perhaps the single most important component to the rise of the liberal blogosphere. And it will continue to play a huge role as we grow in years ahead.” Thanks to BlogAds, AARP ads have been made available to the likes of Daily Kos, Wonkette, Atrios, Talking Points Memo, Americablog, Crooks and Liars, Firedoglake, Political Wire, Red State, Outside the Beltway, Power Line, Townhall and others.

Our ongoing commitment to supporting and participating in the online community means that we intend to continue working with bloggers and to support the growth of this community.

However, they also said:

As publishers of the world’s largest magazine and the preeminent online destination for individuals 50+, we understand the desire to pursue advertising revenue. Additionally, no one is immune from our current economic crisis and we can appreciate your plea for increased ad revenue. That said, we also strongly honor the integrity of our journalists and writers/editors/content developers. AARP would never allow advertisers to dictate our editorial content based on the amount of ad space purchased, and we would be hesitant to buy ads with any media that suggested it might act otherwise.

Ouch! In other words, we’ll advertise where we damn well please, thank you very much. 😮

Liberal Bloggers not getting paid to promote

Now this article is not going to be one of those a-typical Conservative “Rub in their faces” kind of entries. Because in this case, I can understand how these people feel. I’ll explain after the quote.

The Story comes via The Plum Line:

Some of the leading liberal bloggers are privately furious with the major progressive groups — and in some cases, the Democratic Party committees — for failing to spend money advertising on their sites, even as these groups constantly ask the bloggers for free assistance in driving their message.

It’s a development that’s creating tensions on the left and raises questions about the future role of the blogosphere at a time when a Dem is in the White House and liberalism could be headed for a period of sustained ascendancy.

A number of these top bloggers agreed to come on record with me after privately arguing to these groups that they deserved a share in the ad wealth and couldn’t be taken for granted any longer.

I can understand these peoples feelings. I have been blogging almost continually since February of 2006. You want to know how much money I have made on Blogging? A rough estimate off the top of my head; about $147.00, of $100.00 that I have been paid. Seriously. Why do you think that I have so many freaking ads on my Blog? To try and raise a little funds! It has helped a little, But I am not getting wealthy, that is for sure. In fact, I run BlogAds, you want to know how many I’ve gotten paid to run? All of two. I run the other two, because I happen to love those sites. They’re freebies, and the one is a half serious, half cruel joke. (The Anti-Al Sharpton Ad)  I blog, simply because I love it. Seriously. I love to write, it’s a way of getting my feelings about things off my chest, and it keeps me out of trouble. Hell, Because of the wonderful fuck ups of Bush, along with the Wonderful fuck ups of the Democrats here in Michigan, I haven’t had a job since 2005 and the company I worked for, is gone. Went out of Business. It’s crazy, the economy here in Michigan, is THAT bad. This was BEFORE the said stock market bottom out thing.

Some of the big players quoted here:

“They come to us, expecting us to give them free publicity, and we do, but it’s not a two way street,” “They won’t do anything in return. They’re not advertising with us. They’re not offering fellowships. They’re not doing anything to help financially, and people are growing increasingly resentful.” — Jane Hamsher, the founder of FiredogLake

“Most want the easy way — having a big blogger promote their agenda,” “Then they turn around and spend $50K for a one-page ad in the New York Times or whatever.”- Markos Moulitsas, the founder of DailyKos

I know the feeling, I don’t know how many little “Plug” pieces that I’ve written, first as a “Left of Center” Blogger and also since switching sides; and then getting nothing in return. Now, I will admit, I have not always gotten the hits on my Blog. I have just recently started getting to some respectable hits on my site. But still, I can understand where these guys are coming from. Of course, some of my following, “Right Wingers” (Gah! I hate that term….) are of course gaffawing about this, but I’m not, I understand the feeling of working one’s rear end off and not getting anything in return. I know the feeling. Guess it’s because I am not on of those so-called “Out of touch wealthy Conservatives” that I keep hearing about. I wish I was man, I wouldn’t be in this living situtation, that’s for sure.

However there is one little quote, that did tweak me just a little:

“We don’t invest in the future, and Republicans do,” says John Aravosis, the founder of AMERICAblog. “The party committees really get that we can be effective as their partners and that we’re happy to help, and they take advantage of that. But even so, very little ad money comes from them. It’s more than just wanting to share in the spoils. We are small business-people who are fighting to survive economically in a really bad year.”

I just talked to John in an e-mail conversation today, so I am going to not go the baseball bat route here. But I will agree with AllahPundit here; We Conservatives in the same boat man. I don’t get any magical fund from some rich Conservative here, at all. I do not know the true business model of HotAir L.L.C. okay? For all I know they’re getting donations from The Heritage Foundation or The Project for the New American Century, or even Neil & John Podhartz for all I know. (…and considering thier political stance, it would not surprise me in the least….)  But me? Nope! Only monies I get off this little rinky dink Blog, is from Advertising or if someone well off sap decides to have momentary lapse of reason and hits my tip jar. Which for the record, has yet to happen. (Hint, Hint!)

Culture 11 Downfall Revisited

I noticed that Washington Monthly has done an article on the downfall of Culture 11 and the uprise in Breit Bart’s Big Hollywood.  The problem is that the article really does not reflect the real reasons why Culture 11 flopped and Big Hollywood worked. I have several theories as to why.

  1. Appearance: Culture 11’s design was rather…. What’s the word? *snapping finger*…. generic?!?!  It just wasn’t that sham-wow like, of a Blog design. Not to say that it was ugly or anything. It really was not a “Eye Candy” kind of a site. You know, kind of like Gawker.com?  I never had any issues with the content; of course, I really never went anywhere, except in the politics section a few times.
  2. Political Affiliation:  No, I am not talking about it being a Conservative site. I am referring to the kind of Conservative site.  It is my understanding that Breit Bart is a Wilsonian Neo-Conservative, as are most of his friends, I tend to suspect that the funding come from people of that ilk. On the other hand; I was under the impression that Culture 11.com was an alternative Conservative or Paleo-Conservative based Blog that did the whole pop culture thing.
  3. Funding: This could be intertwined with the above as well. But the Wilsonian Neo-Conservatives are well funded. Considering where most of the money comes from, this should not be a big surprise. The Alternative Conservative scene is just not as well funded.

Just my take on it. It was a good site and it is a pity that it did not last.

Heartache: Internet Advertising is not working

It’s a good read over at TechCrunch:

Why Advertising Is Failing On The Internet.

Not to worry, I am not taking my banners down. The recession has got to end sometime! 😀

Seriously; I believe this recession will mostly get rid of surplus in the advertising Market. As much as I hate to admit it, there has been a great deal of overkill in that Market. Not to mention in the blogging world! I think the recession might clear out the clutter and allow we full time bloggers to flourish and get noticed.

I noticed before the downturn in the economy happened, the online advertising market seemed to be saturated. It now seems that the 12 inch pipe of flowing water has now shrunk to a faucet trickle. This will be a good thing, in some respects.

I just hope I am right! 🙂

The Politico Admits what Bloggers have known for years….

That the Main Stream Media uses Blogs for it’s political news gathering.

For the past two years, several hundred left-leaning bloggers, political reporters, magazine writers, policy wonks and academics have talked stories and compared notes in an off-the-record online meeting space called JournoList.

Proof of a vast liberal media conspiracy?

Not at all, says Ezra Klein, the 24-year-old American Prospect blogging wunderkind who formed JournoList in February 2007. “Basically,” he says, “it’s just a list where journalists and policy wonks can discuss issues freely.”

But some of the journalists who participate in the online discussion say — off the record, of course — that it has been a great help in their work. On the record, The New Yorker’s Jeffrey Toobin acknowledged that a Talk of the Town piece — he won’t say which one — got its start in part via a conversation on JournoList. And JLister Eric Alterman, The Nation writer and CUNY professor, said he’s seen discussions that start on the list seep into the world beyond.

via JournoList: Inside the echo chamber – Michael Calderone – POLITICO.com.

…..and a collective “Duh!” went up over the Blogosphere.  This what I, and every other Blogger has known for years, that the MSM uses the Political Blogosphere for collecting its news.

An interesting quote:

“I’m very lazy about writing when I’m not getting paid,” Alterman said. “So if I take the trouble to write something in any detail on the list, I tend to cannibalize it. It doesn’t surprise me when I see things on the list on people’s blogs.”

He is not the only one. I’ve read where even Bill O’Reilly has ripped off elements of the Conservative political Blogosphere and not even bothered to credit it’s sources. Which is about typical for the journalistic world. “Let’s rip off the Bloggers, nobody reads those things anyhow!” Think I’m full of it? Think again. 90% of all political stories come from our realm.

As for the conspiracy aspect of it. I don’t really buy into that. The Liberals are doing simply what the Conservatives did in the 1990’s when Bill Clinton beat George H.W. Bush in the elections. They’re organizing their media outlets. Exchanging information to report on. It is really no big deal.

So, I really do not see what the big fuss is about. Democrats got smart, after losing 2 elections, and before that, having a disaster for a President; the Democrats are just not going to screw this chance up, when it getting things right this time. I cannot fault them for this.

I do believe that the Politico is really trying to make a boogie man sitution out of something that just really is not there.  There is nothing wrong the Blogging world working with it’s political counterparts to get their message on point. I believe if the G.O.P. had done this more and had gotten it’s message right and a great number of other things right, Obama might have lost this election. The trouble is the G.O.P. was busy harping on rather stupid stuff, than on the real message at hand.

So, while this might be a nice headline for the Meme Trackers. There is nothing in this story that I, at least, find to be of a scandalous nature.

Can’t we all just get along people?

Man, I’ll tell you, no wonder the Conservative movement is in tatters.  Looks like two Paleo Con’s are at it. Some guy named Evan McLaren and John Stacy McCain are at it.

I guess from what I’ve read here, I guess Evan wrote a rather dismissive piece about CPAC. Well, McCain; I guess, was a bit peeved about what was said, and proceeded to rip the kid to pieces over it.  Of course, because most political bloggers, especially we Conservatives; have to get in the last word, McLaren responded; and offered to fight the guy.

Now, before I say my piece, I will admit to ripping on McCain myself, there are times, when his self absorbed style, even turns me off, at times. But I don’t hate the guy, it’s not about that, it is just his writing style, it comes off a bit pompous. Even maybe a bit; dare I say it? —– Weird.

The point I am trying to get at, is this right here. As long as Conservatives, of ALL stripes; Bioconservatism, Compassionate, Cultural, Fiscal, Libertarian, National, Neo, Paleo, Social, Theo, and Traditionalist continue to concentrate on what divides us, instead of what UNITES us. The Conservative movement will never, ever regain it’s proper place in society and in Government ever again.

Yes, Bush screwed up, Yes, The Republican Party ran a poor candidate. It happens, let’s move on and stop this petty bickering and unite as one, and stand up to President Barack Obama’s agenda of systematically destroying the Capitalist system in America.

We just cannot hand this victory to the Democratics and allow them to utterly distroy our Movement, Our Party, our Ideals. We just cannot; many Churches will suffer because of it. Christianity will suffer, and American itself will suffer.

We must not allow ourselves to be chained by the sundry bounds of division. We must unite, we must take up the discourse and not allow them to win.

Our Future depends on it.

A New Parody “Barry’s Farm”

Here’s the Original Song:

Update: It seems that some Fascist Socialist Liberal twit keeps going around getting my video yanked. No biggie, if they yank it. I will find it elsewhere and put it up. This is America and not fascist Germany and I have the RIGHT to express my opinions about the President and his fascist polices. You liberals don’t like it? TOUGH SHIT! 😡

History about the song and concert

New Lyrics:

Barry’s Farm

(Sung to the tune of Maggie’s Farm by Bob Dylan)

Written by Paleo Pat

I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
Well, I wake up in the morning,
Fold my hands and pray that I might keep my gain.
I got a bill full of Taxes
That are drivin’ me insane.
It’s a shame the way he makes me tip the whore.
Naw, I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.

I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Law’s no more.
I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Law’s no more.
Well, he hands you a Dollar,
Taxes you a dime,
Looks at you with a grin
While robbin’ you fuckin’ Blind,
Then he taxes you every time you open the door.
I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Laws no more.

I ain’t gonna be a slave for Barry’s Government no more.
No, I ain’t be a Slave for Barry’s Government no more.
Well, he puts a Tax Bill
in your face just for kicks.
His White House
It is made out of Bricks.
The Secret Service stands around his door.
Ah, I ain’t gonna be a slave for Barry’s Government no more.

I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.
No, I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.
Well, she talks to all the people
About Equality and Race and Law.
All the while the workin’ people
Are payin’ for other peoples bad calls
She’s a lying thief, but she says her honesty stands tall.
Naw, I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.

I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
Well, I try my best
To do the best I can,
But everybody wants you
To pay thier bills for them.
They eat steak while you slave and I just get bored.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more
.

Oh brother… Here we go…. 🙄

Robert Stacy McCain is whining about no one linking to him.

I got one thing to say McCain…:

Join.the.fucking.club

For the longest time, until I started whoring myself out to the folks over at Freedom’s Phoenix, I wasn’t getting shit for hits here.

McCain Yowls on here a bit:

That is to say, it’s not merely an oversight, or the fact that your blog sucks, or that blogospheric giants like Glenn Reynolds and Michelle Malkin get 2,000 e-mails a day from pesky little blogwhores begging for linkage. Rather, the bloggernoiac fears that there is some malevolent intent behind the non-linkage. In the rampant stage of this incurable disorder, the bloggernoiac may fear that other bloggers are talking behind his back, conspiring to deprive him of his righteous share of traffic.

Ya know McCain; I got one thing to say… fuck off. It just so happens that Malkin and Reynolds happen to be half decent bloggers. More so than your stupid ass-ed self, who doesn’t even go to Church on the right fucking day. Seventh Day Advents, Seventh Day Asshats is more like it. Fucking tool, does not even USE fucking WordPress and THEN bitches because no one pays attention to the fucktard.

He goes on:

“Is Ace angry that I stole his shtick with that last hobo joke?” or “Did my defense of Ann Coulter offend Charles Johnson?” Or, in the really dark moments of despair: “Has my utter shamelessness become so disgusting that people are embarrassed to link me?”

No, it could be that you are just some self-absorbed jackass and nobody wants to give you the fucking pleasure of masturbating while looking at in your incoming links. Ever thought of that, dicky?!?!

He ends it by saying:

You see why I’m paranoid?

Yeah, cause you’re a fucking douche bag, that’s why! 🙄

Some dickless wonder over there, commenting as “anonymous” said this:

I’d noticed over the past month or so that you don’t seem to be linked from Memeorandum as often. Bloggers find out about stuff through Memeorandum, so perhaps that’s the problem

Besides the fact that this unless fuck cannot grasp the idea of good grammar, the statement in itself has some merit. I am most likely the only blogger in the world, to have been banned from Memeorandum. It has to do with the fact that I basically told that faggot loving, San Francisco Liberal what I truly thought of his cockamamie Meme Tag scanner. So, yeah, he never scans me, ever; and you know what? I’m fucking glad as hell. The last thing I want is some asshat fucking idiot liberal coming to my fucking blog and acting like some fucking asshat idiot fucking tool, so he can run back to his faggot buddy liberal friends and tell them that he got a word in on a right wing blog, before I deleted it.

So, in closing, McCain, quite your fucking whining okay? Because I don’t wanna hear it. You get into my fucking shoes okay? and then come bitch to me.

Stay Classy William Teach AKA Porter Good

First off, as a rule, I do not get myself involved with what other people write on their Blogs. I believe in freedom of speech, Freedom of Expression and so forth.

However, this morning, I happen to come across something that caught my eye. If you’re following the headlines, there is a woman who’s a columnist at the Tennessean. Her name is Gail Kerr. She wrote a piece on some Tennessee lawmakers who are pursuing the Obama birth certificate issue.

Now let me say from the outset that I respect her opinions; I do not agree with them, at all. However, I happen to read a blog reaction to what she had written over at pirate’s cove, which is owned by a one William Teach, who’s real name is Porter Good.  As I suspected, it was of the usual Conservative affair, criticize the piece and take gentle pokes at the author. However, there was a small bit in this piece that I found to be most offensive and I thought I would blog about it, and possibly inform Mr. Teach, that there are others out there that read his Blog. The offending part is underlined:

After eight years of the Left accusing Bush of everything that they don’t blame on anthropogenic global warming, and sometimes they blame both, with little to no proof, lefties, still riding high on hopeNchange, and probably the fumes from their black velvet Obama paintings, just do not like it when anyone asks for simple proof of Obama’s citizenship. Witness barking moonbat, and member of The Tennessean, Gail Kerr take on the subject of Barry’s birth certificate (and, hopefully, Jenny Craig)

The picture of the Woman in question:

Mr. Teach, let me remind you sir, that there are people in this world, who are not of perfect physical condition. As someone who is overweight and has struggled with weight gain for my entire life. I found your crass, asinine, dig towards this woman’s weight to be totally uncalled for, over the top and quite frankly immature, and most unbecoming of a Conservative Blogger. While I wholeheartely agree with you on your assessment of B. Hussein Obama, I do not believe that the personal insult of this woman’s Physical appearance was even remotely needed in the context of this discussion.

While I realize that a Blogger of any sort of integrity would ‘Man Up” and apologize, I do not expect this of teach at all. As I have observed, he has spent the good part of his Blogger career, cheerleading for George W. Bush and kissing the ass of the Podhoretz clan; so, one can only expect so much.

Update: Porter Good posts in the comments section says, verifying his true depraved nature:

And, yeah, I defended W when he deserved it, and attacked him when he deserved that, particularly on illegal immigration. As far as the Podhertz crack, that sounds vaguely anti-semetic on your part. Are you a Jew hater? Sounds like you owe me an apology. Oh, I misread your intent? Goodness!

It’s quite funny, when confronted with the truth, Neo-Con’s resort to playing the race card. Just like their Democrat counterparts. (There are those who would say that Democrats and Neo-Cons are one in the same, but that’s out of the scope of this discussion…) Identity Politics is such a tragic thing, on the left….. and the Right.

Australian Fires Devastate

I have not blogged about this, because it really didn’t not hit close to home. However, I was over reading in the comments section at Rachel Lucas’s Blog.

It seems that Australian Conservative Blogger Tim Blair has really been covering this story big time:

Here are his postings:
FIRE LATEST
STATE RALLIES
BRIAN NAYLOR
FIRE WITHOUT END
STATE ABLAZE

It my understanding that some of the blazes were intentionally set.

Google News has much more on the fires.

The Australian Red Cross is taking donations.

Blogroll Amnesty Day

Joe over at The Moderate Voice points out that today is Blogroll Amnesty Day.

I always scour my RSS feeds in search of good stories to post to my Blog and sometimes, I do link to something  from a smaller Blog.

Sometimes I also link to those who are of a different political idology. Although, I refuse to link to hard left Blogs. I just will not do it. Because I cannot link to hate; it’s just that simple.

I always post links to blogs who are blogging on the same subject as me. It’s my way of giving back, because I know at one point that I was a nobody too.

Culture11 is shutting down

Some sad news, a start up Blog/Political site is going south…:

Sometimes there are simple stories. Culture11’s is one of them. We raised a certain amount of money last year predicated on the assumption we would raise more money last year. Then the Fall’s fall occurred and we stretched money as long and far as we could without incurring any debts. With no new money in the door the board decided the most prudent thing to do was suspend business operations. That is a way too technical way of saying that there are now 14 people who worked very hard for this company who are looking for new jobs because theirs disappeared. These people do not deserve to be out of jobs and yet they are. The economy racks up more victims.

A friend reminded me that Orson Welles once said that if you want a happy ending, it depends on where you choose to stop your story. This then isn’t the end – we are proud of the articles we commissioned, edited, and wrote, the blogs that we posted, the conversations we joined and sometimes started and the platform we created. Our hope is that we will be able to keep it alive and that we might continue to be a center for conversation, debate, and community. In that sense more than ever we turn Culture11 over to you.

via The Confabulum –  The Fate of Culture11.

This is why I would never do a start up job. There’s just always that risk involved. Just more proof that the Economy is in terrible shape.

Wish all the guys who got let go, all the best in these tough times.

I just wonder why they haven’t tried a fund raiser?

Another Great Blog is going away

I hate reporting stuff like this; but I must.

It seems that another great Blog is leaving the ranks and going to join the main stream media.

Extreme Mortman is closing it’s doors forever. 🙁

I was not a regular reader, but I did stop in from time to time and read what he had to offer.

It is truly sad when a big name blog decides to cash in and leave. It leaves a hole in the Blogosphere, some will try and fill it, but seeing a Blogger, especially a Conservative Blogger; pack it in and move on, saddens me a bit.

I wish Howard Mortman all the best.

My Pledge to America

More like abject hypocrisy, if you ask me.

Check out this vomit inducing video, straight out of HollyWeird:

MySpace Celebrity and Katalyst present The Presidential Pledge

In an reaction, that can only described as a direct kick to the gonads of Hollywood; Andrew BreitBart lays the smack down to the Obama Bots and believe me, he does not mince words:

Forgive and forget? Right.

President Bush was not holding back Moore from “free[ing] one million people from slavery in the next five years.” Nor was he holding back the Obama-biquitous Will.I.Am from “chang[ing] how [he] live[s].” Ditto: Aaron Ekhart (”To be a better person,”) Marisa Tomei (”To integrate into my heart what I already know in my head which is that we are all in this together,”) Kutcher (”To the abolition to 21st century slavery,”) Anthony Kiedis (”To be of service to Barack Obama,”) P. Diddy (” pledge to turn the lights off, cause I used to leave the lights on but we want to conserve energy so I’ma turn the lights off, you turn the lights off,) and all-in-unison (”Because together we can, together we are, and together we will be the change that we seek.”)

Missing are pledges not to kiss the ring of Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez and other pledged enemies of America. Nor are there pledges not to make movies that glorify these tyrants. Nor are there pledges to take seriously that we are at war, will continue to be at war under President Obama and that our precious and under-appreciated military is fighting an avowed and evil enemy — so that, among other things, Hollywood can continue to make decadent crap that actually motivates our enemy to fight us harder!

[…]

Remember this video: It is a instructive relic of the era of celebrity decadence and boutique anti-Republican activism under President Bush. It is a sickening display that they want fast and easy absolution for having comported themselves like ill-behaved children for eight difficult and war-torn years.

Good luck, President Obama. The rest of you can go to hell.

Having said all that, (Well, quoted… Hee hee) I will make my pledge; I pledge to use this Blog, to praise Obama when he does something that I agree with and likewise, I will use this Blog to criticize President Obama when he does something that I feel is detrimental to the Liberty of all Americans. I predict that many Conservatives will roll up the sidewalks and end up stop Blogging, because of the change of the political climate. Well, I will still be here; I do not care, if I ever make a dime on this Blog. I will not stop, I will not leave, I will continue to write, it does not matter if I have five thousand, five hundred readers, fifty readers or even five; I will not stop, because if I do, I would be doing the same thing, as if someone walked away from the attacks at Pearl Harbor and did nothing. Because I still believe in America, I still believe that dissent is the highest form of Patriotism.

While I did have and still do have, issue and reservations with Neo-Conservatism, and I do identify myself as a paleo or old Conservative, with a twist of Libertarianism; I do believe that Conservatism is an honorable strain of political thought, that the notion that the Government is not the solution to America’s problems. That mankind can be do by itself, without intervention of the United States Government. That the middle class of America still matters, and that American made products are the lifeblood of America and that uncontrolled globalism is dangerous to the survival of America and it’s people.

Likewise, I will continue to blog about the dangers of an interventionist foreign policy; I will continue to blog about the dangers of big government, I will continue to blog about the short comings and the out dangers of a socialist Government, and the way that socialist Governments repress and utterly steal the freedoms of all Americans. I will continue to blog about the dangers of printing more money that the United States has gold to back it up and how going back to the Gold standard is a valid idea and how the United States should pursue that more aggressively and what it will do to America, if we do not.

It is the least I can do for my Country.

<blockquote>Oh well, it doesn’t matter anyways, because in six months to a year, Obama will burn the constitution, take our guns, enact black Nationalism as the state religion</blockquote>

That is a whole lot of paranoid delusion wrapped up in one sentence.

I think you may need to get your meds adjusted.  I think you’re having some kind of reaction.

You can see all comments on this post here:

He is, of course, referring to this posting here. Which was, a bit of snark and my political opinion.

Well, seeing it was more of a stupid troll comment, I deleted it. Besides, this is my Blog, I do not have to allow myself to be insulted by some anonymous assplow.

So, he comes back and leaves this:
