Wow, I must admit, I did not see this one coming, at all. đŽ
I have been watching an interesting phenomenon on the Right, which is beginning to cause me concern. I am referring to the over-the-top hysteria in response to the first months in office of our new president, which distinctly reminds me of the âBush Is Hitlerâ crowd on the Left.
Speaking of this crowd, have you seen any âI am so sorryâ postings from that quarter as Obama continues and even escalates the former president’s war policy in Afghanistan and attempts to consolidate his military occupation of Iraq?
Conservatives, please. Let’s not duplicate the manias of the Left as we figure out how to deal with Mr. Obama. He is not exactly the anti-Christ, although a disturbing number of people on the Right are convinced he is.
I have recently received commentaries that claim that “Obama’s speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history” and “never has a politician in this land had such a quasi-religious impact on so many people” and “Obama is a narcissist,” which leads the author to then compare Obama to David Koresh, Charles Manson, Stalin and Saddam Hussein. Excuse me while I blow my nose.
Well, I won’t sit here and lie, I see his point. It’s a valid one too. If the far right would do their legit jobs and point the fallacies in Obama polices, instead of trying to prove that he’s anything from an alien to the Anti-Christ, they’d would be doing something.
I was over on Memeorandum and I saw this story here. It’s about the torture or as the Wilsonian Neo-Cons call it, “Enhanced Interrogation”.
Anyhow, I’m reading the Blog reactions and I saw this crap here on Sweetness & Light, which is run by an old friend of Ann Coulter’s.
The Stupid Quote of the Day:
Once again we have a string of wild assertions made by the Washington Post via some âanonymous officialsâ and unrevealed âdocuments.â
Of course we are supposed to believe these anonymous sources over Mr. Zubaidaâs own claims. (The Post helpfully notes that he has memory problems, due to a head wound.)
We are even supposed to believe these claims over the anonymous assertions by other government officials.
But obviously this is just the Post once again beating the drum for show trials about the (entirely legal and ethical) interrogation of terrorists.
It really is too bad that the terrorists Flight 77 hit the Pentagon instead of, say, 15th Street.
That last part is what bugs the living hell out of me. Who in the hell in their right mind would wish death or even a terrorist attack on another American Citizen?!?!?!? Seriously!
Dude, I don’t remember your name, but I have talked to you in e-mail before. I don’t know if that was your rather piss poor attempt at snark or what. But any of us, no matter what end of the political spectrum we’re on should never engage in this wishing of someone’s demise. Ever. It is uncalled for and it is wrong and I think someone owes the rest of American an apology.
I am no fan of the Socialistic agenda of President Barak Obama or the liberal media that is in the tank for him. But this sort of nonsense is totally uncalled for. It is wrong with the left does it and it very wrong, hypocritical and totally asinine when the right does it.
I am all for the furtherance of the political discourse in America, I am for being the loyal opposition in America, but the continual inference to violence towards those who are in disagreement with us is totally and unequivocally uncalled for. This is not the way to further the message of the Conservative movement and it is not a way to sell our message to the American people. We are a civilized Nation; of whom peaceful disagreement occurs. This sort of nonsense here, makes the Conservatives look no better than say, Al-Qeada themselves. It needs to stop!
The owner of Sweetness & Light needs to apologize, rework the posting or he needs to shut that idiotic blog down and go the hell away.
Color me among those that say this posting does NOT speak for me!
I post this because I believe that it is interesting. Alex Jones has always struck me as a kook. Someone amongst the âTin Foil Hatâ crowd. However, it is something interesting to watch.
EnjoyâŚ
What do you think? Do you think that there is any truth to this?
Mr. Seymour âBat Shit Crazyâ Hersh is back at it again, this time pandering to the Alex Jones tin foil hat crowd:
Investigative reporter Seymour Hersh dropped a bombshell on Tuesday when he told an audience at the University of Minnesota that the military was running an "executive assassination ring" throughout the Bush years which reported directly to former Vice President Dick Cheney.
The remark came out seemingly inadvertently when Hersh was asked by the moderator of a public discussion of "America’s Constitutional Crisis" whether abuses of executive power, like those which occurred under Richard Nixon, continue to this day.
Hersh replied, "After 9/11, I havenât written about this yet, but the Central Intelligence Agency was very deeply involved in domestic activities against people they thought to be enemies of the state. Without any legal authority for it. They havenât been called on it yet."
Hersh then went on to describe a second area of extra-legal operations: the Joint Special Operations Command. "It is a special wing of our special operations community that is set up independently," he explained. "They do not report to anybody, except in the Bush-Cheney days, they reported directly to the Cheney office. … Congress has no oversight of it."
"Itâs an executive assassination ring essentially, and itâs been going on and on and on," Hersh stated. "Under President Bushâs authority, theyâve been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them and leaving. Thatâs been going on, in the name of all of us.
Seriously. This dude needs to lay off the fucking bong water and the Kool-Aid. Iâve got ten bucks that says he will either on Keith Olbermannâs show tomorrow or Keith will do another one of his âHead Explodingâ special comments as to why President Obama should prosecute the Bush Administration and Bush himself, because of this revelation.
I am possibly one of the biggest Bush Administration critics out there, I found much of what Bush did in Iraq to quite stupid, I thought the War in Iraq was inherently wrong. But I do not even buy this line of bullshit. Nice try Hershy! But I am not even buying this stupid line of bat shit craziness! Whenever you recover from talking out of your rather large ass, I might start taking you serious again, until this, enjoy the tin foil hat crown, because believe me, that is where you fucking belong.
President Barack Obama is poised to offer an olive branch to Cuba in an effort to repair the US’s tattered reputation in Latin America.
The White House has moved to ease some travel and trade restrictions as a cautious first step towards better ties with Havana, raising hopes of an eventual lifting of the four-decade-old economic embargo. Several Bush-era controls are expected to be relaxed in the run-up to next month’s Summit of the Americas in Trinidad and Tobago to gild the president’s regional debut and signal a new era of “Yankee” cooperation.
The administration has moved to ease draconian travel controls and lift limits on cash remittances that Cuban-Americans can send to the island, a lifeline for hundreds of thousands of families.
“The effect on ordinary Cubans will be fairly significant. It will improve things and be very welcome,” said a western diplomat in Havana. The changes would reverse hardline Bush policies but not fundamentally alter relations between the superpower and the island, he added. “It just takes us back to the 1990s.”
Caracas – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Friday called upon US President Barack Obama to follow the path to socialism, which he termed as the “only” way out of the global recession. “Come with us, align yourself, come with us on the road to socialism. This is the only path. Imagine a socialist revolution in the United States,” Chavez told a group of workers in the southern Venezuelan state of Bolivar.
The controversial Venezuelan leader, who taunted the United States as a source of capitalistic evil under former president George W Bush, added that the United States needs a leader who can take it to a “higher” destiny and bring it out of “the sad role that it has been given, as a murderous, attacking power that is hated all around the world.”
Chavez said that people are calling Obama a “socialist” for the measures of state intervention he is taking to counter the crisis, so it would not be too far-fetched to suggest that he might join the project of “21st century socialism” that the Venezuelan leader is heading.
“Nothing is impossible. Who would have thought in the 1980s that the Soviet Union would disappear? No one,” he said.
“That murderous, genocidal empire has to end, and some day there has to come a leader … who interprets the best of a people who also include human beings who suffer, endure, weep and laugh,” the outspoken Chavez said.
Coincidence?or just really bad timing? You Decide.
Um…. I hope Barry is not too tired to deal with this one:
Iran has test-fired a new air-to-surface missile, Iranian media reported on Sunday, in the Islamic Republic’s latest display of its military capability.
The missile test was carried out despite the offer by the administration of new U.S. President Barack Obama to engage Iran in direct talks if it “unclenches its fist”.
Iran’s Fars News Agency said the domestically produced missile had a range of 110 km and was designed for use by military aircraft against naval targets.
“Now these jet fighters have acquired a new capability in confronting threats,” the semi-official news agency said. Iran’s Press TV initially said a long-range missile had been tested, but later also used Fars’ way of describing it.
Iran often stages war games or tests weapons to show its determination to counter any attack by foes such as Israel and the United States.
Israel and Washington accuse Tehran of trying to develop nuclear bombs. Iran says its nuclear programme is a peaceful drive to generate electricity so that the world’s fourth-largest oil producer can export more of its gas and crude.
Israel, believed to be the only nuclear-armed Middle East state, has said Iran’s nuclear plans threaten its existence and has not ruled out military action if diplomacy fails to end the dispute.
….and Yet, President Bambi wants to try and hold talks with these crazy people? I fear for our country. đ
I think Bush was right, as were many Republicans who said, that Obama would rather appease terrorists, than stiff arm those who promote Terrorism.
What gets me is, how Bush was lambasted for making that Statement; and at the time, I thought he was kind of off for saying that myself. Now, I believe that Bush was absolutely correct. The truth is, Iran is a country that is a supporter of terrorism. I mean, terrorism of Israel and all of its allies, including the United States.
The question is, how will President Obama respond to this? Will he ignore it or will He stand up and condemn this sort of an action?
The answer will most likely come….. When Obama is done with his nap. đ
Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been “overwhelmed” by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.
British officials, meanwhile, admit that the White House and US State Department staff were utterly bemused by complaints that the Prime Minister should have been granted full-blown press conference and a formal dinner, as has been customary. They concede that Obama aides seemed unfamiliar with the expectations that surround a major visit by a British prime minister.
But Washington figures with access to Mr Obama’s inner circle explained the slight by saying that those high up in the administration have had little time to deal with international matters, let alone the diplomatic niceties of the special relationship.
Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president’s surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.
A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama’s inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to “even fake an interest in foreign policy”.
A British official conceded that the furore surrounding the apparent snub to Mr Brown had come as a shock to the White House. “I think it’s right to say that their focus is elsewhere, on domestic affairs. A number of our US interlocutors said they couldn’t quite understand the British concerns and didn’t get what that was all about.”
The American source said: “Obama is overwhelmed. There is a zero sum tension between his ability to attend to the economic issues and his ability to be a proactive sculptor of the national security agenda.
“That was the gamble these guys made at the front end of this presidency and I think they’re finding it a hard thing to do everything.”
Oh, it gets better, trust me… Too Tired?!?! Seriously? Think that’s bad?
President Obama declared in an interview that the United States was not winning the war in Afghanistan and opened the door to a reconciliation process in which the American military would reach out to moderate elements of the Taliban, much as it did with Sunni militias in Iraq.
Mr. Obama pointed to the success in peeling Iraqi insurgents away from more hard-core elements of Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia, a strategy that many credit as much as the increase of American forces with turning the war around in the last two years. âThere may be some comparable opportunities in Afghanistan and in the Pakistani region,â he said, while cautioning that solutions in Afghanistan will be complicated.
[…]
âI donât think that people should be fearful about our future,â he said. âI donât think that people should suddenly mistrust all of our financial institutions.â
As he pressed forward with ambitious plans at home to rewrite the tax code, expand health care coverage and curb climate change, Mr. Obama dismissed criticism from conservatives that he was driving the country toward socialism. After the interview, which took place as the president was flying home from Ohio, he called reporters from the Oval Office to assert that his actions have been âentirely consistent with free-market principlesâ and to point out that large-scale government intervention in the markets and expansion of social welfare programs began under President George W. Bush.
Sitting at the head of a conference table with his suit coat off, Mr. Obama exhibited confidence six weeks into his presidency despite the economic turmoil around the globe and the deteriorating situations in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He struck a reassuring tone about the economy, saying he had no trouble sleeping at night.
[…..]
Asked if the United States was winning in Afghanistan, a war he effectively adopted as his own last month by ordering an additional 17,000 troops sent there, Mr. Obama replied flatly, âNo.â
Again, can someone please tell me why we elected this feckless idiot douche nozzle? I am really beginning to believe that America blew it. In a really, really, really, big way.
Those who were actually stupid enough to vote for this socialist idiot, get what is coming to them. (yes, that applies to my family too.)
I mean, this asshole is acting like this is some sort of a community organizer job. Being the President is a serious job and this idiot is not even acting remotely like a President. đĄ
As much as I disagreed with President George W. Bush on Iraq, I will say this; you never, EVER heard George W. Bush complain or his staff ever say to reporters, even anonymously say that the job was making him tired! Not once.

Update: It seems that some Fascist Socialist Liberal twit keeps going around getting my video yanked. No biggie, if they yank it. I will find it elsewhere and put it up. This is America and not fascist Germany and I have the RIGHT to express my opinions about the President and his fascist polices. You liberals don’t like it? TOUGH SHIT! đĄ

Well, that didnât take long. Just 44 days into the job, and President Obama is going gray.
It happens to all of them, of course â Bill Clinton still had about half a head of brown hair when he took office but was a silver fox two years later, and George W. Bush went from salt and pepper to just salt in what seemed like a blink of an eye.
But so soon? âI started noticing it toward the end of the campaign
and leading up to inauguration,â says Deborah Willis, who, as co-author
of âObama: The Historic Campaign in Photographs,â pored through 5,000
photographs of the first head over the last year.
Mr. Obamaâs graying is still of the flecked variety, and appears to
wax and wane depending on when he gets his hair cut, which he does
about every two weeks. His barber, who goes by only one name, Zariff,
takes umbrage with bloggers who alternately claim Mr. Obama, 47, is
dyeing his hair gray (to appear more distinguished) or dyeing it black
(to appear younger). âI can tell you that his hair is 100 percent
natural,â Zariff said. âHe wouldnât get it colored.â
And for all of his 16 years giving Mr. Obama his âquo vadisâ haircut
â black parlance from the 1960s for close-cut locks â Zariff said he is
not about to start ribbing Mr. Obama. âWe do not tease about the gray
at all,â he said.
For a guy who prides himself on projecting a stress-free demeanor,
the changes above his temples are speckled evidence that perhaps the
psychological and physical strains of the job â never mind the long
process of winning it â are in fact taking something of a toll.
(Experts say stress can contribute to whitening locks.)
Mr. Obama seems to have noticed it at least as far back as last
summer. âIâve been running for president for about 19 months now,â he
told supporters at a campaign event in Virginia in August. âFolks are
noticing that Iâve got a lot more gray hair now than when I started.â
But with the economy struggling, two wars raging and countless other
pressures facing him, the president is very likely to see additional
signs of wear and tear in the mirror each morning.
Good Lord. The man is 47 years old. I am quite frankly surprised he did not start getting Gray sooner. Hell, I starting seeing my gray hairs when I was in my early 20’s or so. Did I flip out? For about a second, it was more of a sobering realization that my younger days were over and I was becoming a older man; and that I should at least try and act the part. I’m still working on that. đ đ đ
I would sure as hell hate to see the poor man slip and break his arm or something. Damn news world would come to a screeching halt! đ Not that I want him to really do all that, I’m just saying, that’s all. đ
Of course, because I’m a Conservative; I must be the one to say it. If President Obama doesn’t do something here really quick and um, smart, to pull our economy out of the toilet and get our stock market out of the basement, He is really going to have some gray hairs coming pretty quick. I mean, Obama just started and he is really not getting off to a good start.
Another smooth move from the Harlem Globetrotter Administration. This time towards Michigan, The Detroit News laments:
President Barack Obama’s proposed cap-and-trade system on greenhouse gas emissions is a giant economic dagger aimed at the nation’s heartland — particularly Michigan. It is a multibillion-dollar tax hike on everything that Michigan does, including making things, driving cars and burning coal.
The president is asking for a system of government limits on carbon emissions. The right to emit carbon would be auctioned off to generate revenue for more government spending programs.
The president’s budget projects receipts totaling $646 billion through 2019 from the sale of these greenhouse gas permits.
The goal, according to the president’s budget outline, is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide to 14 percent below 2005 levels by 2020.
Doing so will drive up the cost of nearly everything and will amount to a major tax increase for American consumers.
Such a tax will hit the Midwest particularly hard, which is why House Minority Leader John A. Boehner, R-Ohio, told the New York Times, “let’s just be honest and call it a carbon tax that will increase taxes on all Americans who drive a car, who have a job, who turn on a light switch, pure and simple.”
The carbon tax will be paid by energy companies, manufacturers and public utilities, who will pass the cost on to their consumers. Michigan will be especially targeted. It gets 60 percent of its electric power from coal plants, and the state’s economy is still reliant on heavy manufacturing such as car and truck assembly and auto parts production.
Michigan will lose as carbon tax money is shifted to states with a greater presence of high-tech and service businesses.
The proposed tax would take effect in 2012 and has the very real potential to throw the nation back into recession, if indeed the expected recovery has arrived by then. It’s impossible to raise costs for such basics as manufacturing and energy production by more than half a trillion dollars over a decade and not have the effects felt across the economy.
The nation’s gross domestic product contracted at an annualized rate of 3.8 percent in last year’s fourth quarter — the worst economic record in nearly three decades. Is this really a good time to be talking about a carbon tax? How will such talk impact investment decisions?
Obama promises to use some of the revenues for tax relief for certain workers and some of the rest for subsidies for alternative energy. But that won’t make up for the damage this huge new tax will do to the economy, especially in Michigan.
I would be willing to bet that many people here in Michigan, who voted for the magic moon bat are having a bad case of buyers regret today. This is what happens when you run a Presidential Administration that caters to special interests on the far, far, left and basically tells the rest of the Country to go to hell.
The liberals once made a movie called “Who Killed the Electric Car?” Pretty soon those same Liberals will be making a movie called “Who Killed the Detroit Auto Industry?”
In his first address to a joint session of Congress, President Obama declared that he was going to “speak frankly and directly.”
That’s what I want to do as well. I want to speak frankly and directly to the many people who have written to me complaining that they aren’t directly benefiting from the federal government’s efforts to resuscitate our gasping economy.
The sniveling sentiments of these people come down to one question: “What about me?”
“How come only those who spend irresponsibly get bailed out?” a reader asked. “As a person who thinks before he spends, I have a lot to be frustrated about these days.”
Another reader from Indiana wrote: “Frankly, I’m infuriated. I don’t make a ton of money, but I live within my means. I purchased my home eight years ago and just paid my mortgage off this past November. It’s extremely frustrating to see us bailing out people who made foolish decisions while many others meet the obligations they agreed to.”
I’m a big proponent of personal responsibility. I preach it in this column, in my home, in the community, at my church and to anyone else who will stand still long enough.
We know that a lot — although not all — of the people in trouble in this economy made bad choices that ended up costing them their homes. A lot of people didn’t save when times were good. A lot of people didn’t do a lot of things they should have done that would have allowed them to better withstand this wretched downturn.
“We have lived through an era where, too often, short-term gains were prized over long-term prosperity,” Obama said.
I understand that people who did the right thing are frustrated. They saved. They scrimped. They crunched the numbers and bought homes they could afford long term.
I understand their need to have someone pat them on the back.
So consider this your pat.
Translation? If you were responsible, tough shit; Nobody cares!
She continues on:
If you’re susceptible to WAM Syndrome, the cure is to be thankful for what you have and to have compassion for those who are hurting. Think of all the personal agony or broken marriages or stress that accompanies the threat of foreclosure.
Obama called on us all to make the concerns of others our cause.
“If you haven’t been personally affected by this recession, you probably know someone who has — a friend, a neighbor, a member of your family,” Obama said during his speech.
Okay, so you’re not getting bailed out. But the reward for doing right when others didn’t is that you’re living better than they are. So stop whining.
Translation? The President is black and if you don’t like what he is doing, which is giving bailouts to those fucking idiot morons who bought houses that they could not afford; you are most likely a racist.
Two Words, you stupid asshole black BITCH piece of shit…..:
FUCK YOU!
…and fuck your Black asshole President too! He’s not my President, until he releases his ORIGINAL Birth Certificate and not some damned forgery copy. Obama is NOT my President at all. Period. đĄ
Whining…. Whining she calls it. It’s called defending the responsible, you idiot assed piece of liberal Black SHIT! đĄ
How Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal’s awful Republican rebuttal to President Obama’s speech before Congress represents a wrongheaded and ill-fated GOP strategy of minority and gender identity politics.
Itâs one thing to see left-wingers pimp the myth that conservatives donât do reporting. But to have a Beltway conservative show up to CPAC and lazily engage in such uninformed sanctimony? Funny thing is: Carlson was a terrific reporter in the early days of his own careerâŚbefore he went on to become one of those many, you know, professional analyzers of things. Do as he says, not as he does.
He deserves all the boos he got.
Translation? Because Tucker Carlson did not stick to the Neo-Conservative talking points handed out by the Bush Administration to the Conservative reporters, Bloggers and anyone else that would recite them, he deserves to be shamed and boo’ed.
….And for what it is worth, Michelle? Tucker Carlson has had a helluva better career than you’ve ever had. I think I smell a little jealousy.
Update: I should have put this in earlier, but I didn’t think about it. I will say this, Tucker Carlson going to CPAC, which is generally accepted as a Republican “shindig” and saying what he did, was quite stupid; seeing that he is a Libertarian. But my feelings about Malkin’s carping about Tucker’s comments remain unabated.
Normally, I am a bit sympathetic towards the unions and their right to exist, especially when it comes to the Auto Workers here in Detroit, But this is one of those “WTF?!?!” Stories that burns my butt:
Comedian Jay Leno was hauled in front of his own union’s trial committee Wednesday to address charges that he broke guild rules during last season’s writers strike, a full year after the alleged violations.
The NBC late-night host was a prominent backer of the Writers Guild of America during the 100-day work stoppage, but he alarmed union officials when he announced on the air that he was penning his own monologues while the strike was still in full swing.
Leno contends that he did nothing wrong. He has the highest profile among a handful of writers whose cases are being reviewed by the committee, which will make a recommendation to the board on whether any action should be taken. Possible penalties include a reprimand, a fine and even expulsion from the union.
Basically, what burns my butt is this. The man is being punished for doing his own job. This is my rub with the Labor Movement and Unions, it prevents people from doing their own job. To me, that would be like having your own car, and not being able to drive yourself.
On top of this, Jay Leno was one of the few performers out in Hollywood, that supported those bastards and now they’re knifing him in the back. I am quite sure that Leno is really kicking himself for supporting those bastards.
I am for a workers right to organize and all, but this over-unionization of industry, to the point where you cannot even do your own job; is just absolutely ridiculous.
While I think it is funny that Ann mocked Pelosi, I think the wording was not good at all.
But as long as the nation is obsessed with historic milestones, is no one going to remark on what a great country it is where a mentally retarded woman can become speaker of the house?
As a nephew of a developmentally disabled aunt, or as Ann referred to, Mentally Retarded Aunt; (My Mom’s younger sister) I think it would behove Miss. Coulter to not use such terms.
For one, it insults those who are responsible for caring for people with this sort of an disability, Like my Mom;Â it also belittles their situation. Not that Ann cares, she’s one of the “beautiful people”, aptly described by the rock musician Marilyn Manson.
So, on this one, I give Miss Coulter a big fat red F.
This is just freakin’ STOOOPID! (not, not Stupid, but STOOOPID!)
The mayor has sent an apology for an e-mail sent to a local businesswoman and community volunteer that she says is racist and offensive.
Keyanus Price, an African American, said she was appalled when she received an e-mail from Mayor Dean Grose’s personal account that showed a picture of the White House with a watermelon patch imposed as the White House garden.
“I was horrified when I read that e-mail,” Price said. “What I’m concerned about is how can this person send an e-mail out like this and think it is OK?”
Being a public official, Price said, made the matter worse.
“He’s putting the city into a bad place, and he is a liability,” Price wrote in an e-mail.
Grose sent an e-mail apology to Price, her boss and the City Council saying he did not intend to be offensive. He also called and left Price a message, he said.
“It was just poor judgment on my part, and I am deeply sorry,” he said. “It wasn’t meant to hurt her.”
Seriously… Why the hell would ANYONE in a public office send out an idiotic e-mail with a picture like that to anyone? ‘Cause they STOOOOPID, that’s why! (If you’ll forgive my inner ghetto for coming out… :D)
I know I’ve been accused of not being the brightest bulb in the box, sharpest knife in the drawer, ect… But I even know not to do dumb stuff like that. I mean, I’ve done my share of dumb stuff in my day, but this takes the Duncan Hines to whole new level.
When Attorney General Eric Holder said that America was a “nation of cowards” for not talking more about race, he was not only wrong about the infrequency of such discussions, but ignored the blatant one-sidedness of the never-ending national conversation on the subject.
Looks like there is more “Monkey Business” over at the New York Post:
As the Chairman of the New York Post, I am ultimately responsible for what is printed in its pages. The buck stops with me.
Last week, we made a mistake. We ran a cartoon that offended many people. Today I want to personally apologize to any reader who felt offended, and even insulted.
Over the past couple of days, I have spoken to a number of people and I now better understand the hurt this cartoon has caused. At the same time, I have had conversations with Post editors about the situation and I can assure you – without a doubt – that the only intent of that cartoon was to mock a badly written piece of legislation. It was not meant to be racist, but unfortunately, it was interpreted by many as such.
We all hold the readers of the New York Post in high regard and I promise you that we will seek to be more attuned to the sensitivities of our community.
Honestly, when are the people of this wonderful country of ours going to stop sucking up to and cowering in fear to the “Shoe Shine Boy” of “White Guilt” in this country?
I know when…. When Monkeys fly. đ
….and by the way there Mr. “Interloper”. I do not feel a twinge of guilt for what happened to your race 300 years ago, nor do I feel a twinge of guilt over what happened in the south in the before 1964. I had nothing do with it, neither did ANY of my family members. So, yeah, you can put me in the column of those who refuse to submit to “White Guilt” and the curse of post-racial racialism. Personally, Mr. “Interloper” I wish that dead chimp, would have been you. đĄ
Remember folks, these are OBAMA’S Supporters. Remember this come 2010 and 2012, or this country will end up just like South Africa, broke and run by “Those people”.
U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning predicted over the weekend that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would likely be dead from pancreatic cancer within nine months.
During a wide-ranging 30-minute speech on Saturday at the Hardin County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day Dinner, Bunning said he supports conservative judges “and that’s going to be in place very shortly because Ruth Bader Ginsburg ⌠has cancer.”
“Bad cancer. The kind that you don’t get better from,” he told a crowd of about 100 at the old State Theater.
“Even though she was operated on, usually, nine months is the longest that anybody would live after (being diagnosed) with pancreatic cancer,” he said.
Ginsburg, who is 75, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this month and surgeons removed a small tumor that had not spread. Doctors termed it a “Stage 1” cancer, meaning they found it in the early stages when it is most curable.
The right-wing Swiss People’s Party (SVP) called on Saturday for retaliation against the United States over a U.S. tax probe into the country’s biggest bank UBS that threatens prized banking secrecy.
The populist SVP, the country’s biggest party, said Switzerland should not take in any detainees from the U.S. prison for terrorism suspects at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, which the Swiss government said last month it could consider to help shut the camp down.
Switzerland should also reconsider its policy of representing the United States in countries where it has no diplomatic presence, the parliamentary SVP said in a statement.
The SVP said gold stored by the Swiss National Bank in the United States should be repatriated and Switzerland should ban the sale of U.S. funds in the country to protect Swiss investors after the failure of U.S. regulators.
The SVP has one minister in the seven-member Swiss government which is made up of the biggest four parties, but its populist policies have shaken up usually consensual Swiss politics.
You see, this is what happens, when the United States entangles itself in the affairs of other Governments. Switzerland has been a neutral country for years and a somewhat friend of ours, now they’ve become a enemy. Real smart there Barry, Real fucking smart.
