Via Mediaite:
You know all that talk about whether Keith Olbermann would ever be back on MSNBC?
Well whoever speculated about that (me) was totally off â Olbermann will return to Countdown Tuesday night.
From Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC:
After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday nightâs program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.
So much for indefinitely. đ

Remarks of President Barack Obama
Weekly Address
The White House
November 6, 2010
This week, Americans across the country cast their votes and made their voices heard. And your message was clear.
Youâre rightly frustrated with the pace of our economic recovery. So am I.
Youâre fed up with partisan politics and want results. I do too.
So I congratulate all of this weekâs winners â Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. But now, the campaign season is over. And itâs time to focus on our shared responsibilities to work together and deliver those results: speeding up our economic recovery, creating jobs, and strengthening the middle class so that the American Dream feels like itâs back within reach.
Thatâs why Iâve asked to sit down soon with leaders of both parties so that we can have an extended discussion about what we can do together to move this country forward.
And over the next few weeks, weâre going to have a chance to work together in the brief upcoming session of Congress.
Hereâs why this lame duck session is so important. Early in the last decade, President Bush and Congress enacted a series of tax cuts that were designed to expire at the end of this year.
What that means is, if Congress doesnât act by New Yearâs Eve, middle-class families will see their taxes go up starting on New Yearâs Day.
But the last thing we should do is raise taxes on middle-class families. For the past decade, they saw their costs rise, their incomes fall, and too many jobs go overseas. Theyâre the ones bearing the brunt of the recession. Theyâre the ones having trouble making ends meet. They are the ones who need relief right now.
So somethingâs got to be done. And I believe thereâs room for us to compromise and get it done together.
Letâs start where we agree. All of us want certainty for middle-class Americans. None of us want them to wake up on January 1st with a higher tax bill. Thatâs why I believe we should permanently extend the Bush tax cuts for all families making less than $250,000 a year. Thatâs 98 percent of the American people.
We also agree on the need to start cutting spending and bringing down our deficit. Thatâs going to require everyone to make some tough choices. In fact, if Congress were to implement my proposal to freeze non-security discretionary spending for three years, it would bring this spending down to its lowest level as share of the economy in 50 years.
But at a time when we are going to ask folks across the board to make such difficult sacrifices, I donât see how we can afford to borrow an additional $700 billion from other countries to make all the Bush tax cuts permanent, even for the wealthiest 2 percent of Americans. Weâd be digging ourselves into an even deeper fiscal hole and passing the burden on to our children.
I recognize that both parties are going to have to work together and compromise to get something done here. But I want to make my priorities clear from the start. One: middle class families need permanent tax relief. And two: I believe we canât afford to borrow and spend another $700 billion on permanent tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.
There are new public servants in Washington, but we still face the same challenges. And you made it clear that itâs time for results. This a great opportunity to show everyone that we got the message and that weâre willing, in this post-election season, to come together and do whatâs best for the country we all love.
Thanks.

Hi, Iâm Marco Rubio.
With Election Day now behind us, itâs an honor to talk to you about the opportunity before us â an opportunity to put America back on track.
For too long, Washington has taken our country in the wrong direction, bigger government, reckless spending and run-away debt. And though Iâm a proud Republican, here is the truth, both parties have been to blame.
This election the American people said enough is enough. That message was loud and clear. We Republicans would be mistaken if we misread these results as simply an embrace of the Republican Party. This Election is a second chance. A second chance for Republicans to be what we said we were going to be.
America is the single greatest nation on earth, a place without equal in the history of all mankind. A place built on free enterprise, where the employee can become the employer. Where small businesses are started every day in a spare bedroom and where someone like me, the son of a bartender and maid, can become a United States Senator.
I know about the unique exceptionalism of our country. Not because I read about it in a book, Iâve seen it through my own eyes. You see, I was raised in a community of exiles, by people who lost their country, people who once had dreams like we do today but had to come to a foreign shore to find them.
For some their dreams were answered here in America, but many others found a new dream. To leave their children with the kinds of opportunities they themselves never had. And that is what we must do as a nation. To fulfill our sacred obligation to leave the next generation of Americans a better America than the one we inherited. And that is what this election was about.
In the past two years, Republicans listened to the American people and what they said is that it was time for a course correction.
The past two years provided a frightening glimpse at what could become of our great nation if we continue down the current path: wasteful spending, a growing debt and a government reaching ever further into our lives, even into our health care decisions.
It is nothing short of a path to ruin, a path that threatens to diminish us as a nation and a people. One that makes America not exceptional, not unique, but more like the rest of the world.
As Republicans, here is what our commitment should be to you. Our focus must not be simply winning elections. It must be to ensure the next generation inherits a strong, free and prosperous America.
We will govern as public servants who understand that re-election is simply a byproduct of good public service and good ideas. And most importantly, we will stand up and offer an alternative to the policies coming out of Washington for the past two years.
The challenges are too great, too generational in scope for us to be merely opponents of bad policies. Instead, we will put forward bold ideas and have the courage to fight for them. This means preventing a massive tax increase scheduled to hit every American taxpayer at the end of the year. It means repealing and replacing the disastrous health care bill. It means simplifying our tax code, and tackling a debt that is pushing us to the brink of our own Greece-like day of reckoning.
For many of us coming to Washington for the first time and others returning to serve, itâs a long way from home. A long way from the people whose eyes we looked into at town halls, at diners or roundtables, and promised that this time it would be different. That if you elected Republicans to office again, we would not squander the chance you gave us, and we must not.
Because nothing less than the identity of our country and what kind of future we will leave our children is at stake. That is our commitment and from you we ask this. Hold us accountable to the ideas and principles we campaigned on.
This is our second chance to get this right. To make the right decisions and the tough calls and to leave our children what they deserve â the freest and most exceptional society in all of human history.
Thank you for listening, God bless you and your family, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.

Planned Unparenthood?

Midterminated?
The managing editor of Townhall Magazine called Diversity Lane “very, very well done.” And Michigan Review described it as “laugh out loud funny.” Why not make this the day you discover the best in conservative comedy today at Diversity Lane?
For more fun visit the website/blog at www.diversitylane.com or go directly to the blog at www.diversitylane.wordpress.com.
Conservatives talked a lot about Ronald Reagan this year, but they have to take him more to heart, because his example here is a guide. All this seemed lost last week on Sarah Palin, who called him, on Fox, “an actor.” She was defending her form of political celebrityâreality show, “Dancing With the Stars,” etc. This is how she did it: “Wasn’t Ronald Reagan an actor? Wasn’t he in ‘Bedtime for Bonzo,’ Bozo, something? Ronald Reagan was an actor.”
Excuse me, but this was ignorant even for Mrs. Palin. Reagan people quietly flipped their lids, but I’ll voice their consternation to make a larger point. Ronald Reagan was an artist who willed himself into leadership as president of a major American labor union (Screen Actors Guild, seven terms, 1947-59.) He led that union successfully through major upheavals (the Hollywood communist wars, labor-management struggles); discovered and honed his ability to speak persuasively by talking to workers on the line at General Electric for eight years; was elected to and completed two full terms as governor of California; challenged and almost unseated an incumbent president of his own party; and went on to popularize modern conservative political philosophy without the help of a conservative infrastructure. Then he was elected president.
The point is not “He was a great man and you are a nincompoop,” though that is true. The point is that Reagan’s career is a guide, not only for the tea party but for all in politics. He brought his fully mature, fully seasoned self into politics with him. He wasn’t in search of a life when he ran for office, and he wasn’t in search of fame; he’d already lived a life, he was already well known, he’d accomplished things in the world.
Here is an old tradition badly in need of return: You have to earn your way into politics. You should go have a life, build a string of accomplishments, then enter public service. And you need actual talent: You have to be able to bring people in and along. You can’t just bully them, you can’t just assert and taunt, you have to be able to persuade.
This comes via Reason.TV:
I have nothing to add, well, maybe this.
Wow. That is about all I can say about it; and that is wow.
The Story via Politico:
MSNBC host Keith Olbermann has been suspended indefinitely without pay after POLITICO reported that he made three campaign contributions to Democratic candidates.
MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement Friday: âI became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay.”
Olbermann made campaign contributions to two Arizona members of Congress and failed Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway ahead of Tuesdayâs election.
Olbermann, who acknowledged the contributions in a statement to POLITICO, made the maximum legal donations of $2,400 apiece to Conway and to Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords. He donated to the Arizona pair on Oct. 28 â the same day that Grijalva appeared as a guest on Olbermannâs âCountdownâ show.
NBC has a rule against employees contributing to political campaigns, and a wide range of
news organizations prohibit political contributions â considering it a breach of journalistic independence to contribute to the candidates they cover.
Chris Hayes, the Washington editor for The Nation and a previous fill-in for Rachel Maddow, will fill in for Olbermann tonight, MSNBC confirmed.
The real strange part is there are people coming to his defense. People like… William Kristol. Wait Wha? Yup, Neo-Conservative Bill Kristol says the following:
MSNBCâs suspension of Keith Olbermann is ludicrous.
First, he donated money to candidates he liked. He didnât take money, or favors, in a way that influenced his reporting.
Second, heâs not a reporter. Itâs an opinion show. If Olbermann wants to put his money where his mouth is, more power to him.
Third, GE, the corporate parent of MSNBC, gives money to political organizations. GE executives and, Iâm sure, NBC executives give money. Why canât Olbermann?
Perhaps Olbermann violated NBC News âpolicy and standards.â But NBC doesnât have real news standards for MSNBCâotherwise the channel wouldnât exist. Itâs a little strange to get all high and mighty now.
But thereâs now a Republican House, and perhaps GE is trying to curry favor by dumping Olbermann?
Republicans of the world, show you believe in the free expression of opinion! Tell the crony corporatists at NBCâkeep Keith!
I have always said that the difference between a Neo-Conservative and a liberal, like Olbermann; is their position on foreign policy. Keith is against war, Kristol is for war, especially if it supports and benefits Israel. What they both agree on, is the statist expansion of Government. They just disagree on the method of that expansion.
Anyhow, on the suspension of Olby. This has been a long time coming; MSNBC has been wanting to rid themselves of the man, I mean, he has an ego, about the side of his ever large head. Will this be permanent? Well, Ed Morrissey is doubtful it will last the weekend; however, the word is that Olbermann is gone for good.
The big round up is here. It is going to be fun watching Bill O. tonight! đ
Looks like I am not the only one, who is in the sights of the intolerant left.
Some people loved this and some did not.
Personally, I thought it was great myself. The silly singing and laughing was especially funny. Especially seeing what happened on the 2’nd.

First off all, let me say, that I get this part here:
New Delhi: The White House will, of course, stay in Washington but the heart of the famous building will move to India when President Barack Obama lands in Mumbai on Saturday.
Communications set-up and nuclear button and majority of the White House staff will be in India accompanying the President on this three-day visit that will cover Mumbai and Delhi.
He will also be protected by a fleet of 34 warships, including an aircraft carrier, which will patrol the sea lanes off the Mumbai coast during his two-day stay there beginning Saturday. The measure has been taken as Mumbai attack in 2008 took place from the sea.
Arrangements have been put in place for emergency evacuation, if needed.
Obama is expected to fly by a helicopter — Marine One — from the city airport to the Indian Navy’s helibase INS Shikra at Colaba in south Mumbai.
Two jets, armed with advanced communication and security systems, and a fleet of over 40 cars will be part of Obama’s convoy.
Around 800 rooms have been booked for the President and his entourage in Taj Hotel and Hyatt.
The President will have a security ring of American elite Secret Service, which are tasked to guard the President, along with National Security Guards (NSG) and personnel from central paramilitary forces and local police in Mumbai and Delhi.
Similar arrangements will be in place in Delhi, with the Air Force One to be kept in all readiness throughout Obama’s stay here from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday morning.
Maurya Hotel, where the President will stay, has already been swarmed by American security personnel and protective measures have been put in place.
Security drills have already been carried out at the hotel as well as Rajghat, where he will visit.
Sources said 13 heavy-lift aircraft with high-tech equipment, three helicopters and 500 US security personnel have arrived in India ahead of Obama’s visit.
The US security has also brought interception and obstruction device, sniffer dogs, rescue gadgets.
Apart from Obama’s Air Force One, a few private luxury jets carrying top American corporate leaders, who are part of Obama’s entourage, are also expected to arrive in India in the next 2-3 days.
All high-rise buildings in the vicinity of Mumbai’s Taj Mahal hotel and Delhi’s Maurya Sheraton hotel, where the US President will stay, are being sanitised and security personnel will be positioned on rooftops to prevent any air-borne attack.
The Ridge area – opposite Delhi’s Maurya Sheraton hotel – has been illuminated by floodlights as part of the heightened security drill.
Okay, let me say this; I get this part here totally. Barack Obama is the President of the United States and it was just a few years ago that Mumbai had a horrible terrorist attack in that Country, so, unlike some of the Conservatives out there. I will not be whining about keeping our President safe.
However, I do believe this here is a just a wee bit much:
Officials in the Indian city of Mumbai (Bombay) have taken extraordinary measures to protect US President Barack Obama ahead of his visit.
In their effort to provide maximum security in the run-up to his visit on Friday, they have removed coconuts which may fall on his head from trees.
All coconuts around the city’s Gandhi museum have now been cut down, an official told the BBC.
Every year in India people are injured or even killed by falling coconuts.
‘Why take a chance?’
Mani Bhavan, where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his freedom struggle against the British, is among five places the US president is visiting apart from a school, college and hotels attacked by Islamic militants in 2008.
“We told the authorities to remove the dry coconuts from trees near the building. Why take a chance?” Mani Bhavan’s executive secretary, Meghshyam Ajgaonkar, told the BBC.
Must….resist….urge….to….make….bad…joke….must….try….to…..show….restraint…..
I mean, seriously people! What is next? Round up all the chimpanzees, monkeys and apes in the area? For fear someone might be offended? Yeeesh. đ
What will be really funny, is if the President asks for a Coconut….to eat.
Hell, if they really wanted to save a bunch of money. They could have just gotten the man a hardhat. President Obama already has experience wearing those:

The good part, more is coming in 2012.
For what it is worth; what I said on Twitter — I speak for no one, except for myself. I have reasons for feeling the way that I do. It might have to with the fact that Michigan is essentially a failed state with over 30% unemployment and it is not getting any better. Yet, all Democrats can do is mock me for not having a job, and for living with my parents. Such class that them liberal Democrats have. đ
What they do not know, is the fact that I am an only child, and that my parents are in the 60’s and really do not want me to just leave them. I mean, the idea that I just sit around here and live off my folks; and do nothing for them. Is a bullshit lie. I do more than my share to help them. It is called the Christian way. Something most Godless liberals know nothing about.
Anyhow, thanks to the godless liberal John Amato for the free traffic. đ
Heh.
If they think this is going to run me off, they’re crazy. I am going nowhere.
Also, if they want to discuss their own deranged behavior, we’ll discuss that —- otherwise, they all can just fuck off.
My song to them:
It is not pretty eitherâŚ.
I guess for expressing my true feelings about the far socialist left in this country has hit a nerve.

Hey, I make zero apologies for how I feel about the far socialist left. I would like to think that not all Democrats are like this; but I am really beginning to wonder. Either way,. it does not matter. The leftâs agenda is on indefinite hold and will be for the next 3 years. I doubt Obama will run for a second term. I look for the Democrats to get trounced in the 2012 election. This defeat last night was just a warm up.
Anyhow, I thought you all would like to see the venom that the left spews, when someone speaks their mind about the far left in this Country.
Now, before some idiot liberal says it or asks — do I consider what I said to be hate speech? Nope. I reject that term âHate Speechâ entirely. That is a method by the liberal left in this control freedom of speech. I believe that ALL AMERICANS, should be free to say what they want. As long as that speech does not cause mass hysteria or panic. Example: Yelling fire in a theater. However, expressing oneâs feelings about a group of political fiends — is not hate speech in my book.
So, put that in your pipe and SMOKE IT liberals! HA! Because you will be waiting a LONG time before youâll be getting an apology out of me. ![]()

Nice message jackass, and nice way to scrub your hateful bullshit. Holocaust fantasies are only for the very sickest assholes on earth – congratulations.
Amazing what kind of stuff your mind gets to when your dick doesn’t work anymore
What is it about liberals and their obsession of my penis? Perhaps my hypothesis of all most of them being godless child molesters is correct? đŻ

In this edition of the Reality Report Gary Franchi presents the activist beat down footage initiated by the not so funny writers of the Daily Show. Nina Police breaks down the headlines including midterm elections, the Illinois gubernatorial recall vote, Obama’s recent enemy declarations and a new website that will empower
Americans to take action on the issues. Gary provides a candid sneak preview interview with Sheriff Richard Mack from his new film Enemy of the State Camp FEMA 2. He also presents the guest list for this Friday nights special web-cast of “Late Stream LIVE”. Viewers weigh in on the existence of chemtrails and a new “Enemy of the State” is eternally branded.
(Based on a post by this guy)
We did well….
Read about it Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here….
We did well here in Michigan WOW! đŻ
My Democratic Party voting Mother and Father are maaaaaad! Woo Wee! đŻ They now refer to the newly elected Republican Governor as “Your Buddy….” sarcastically. I just smile and say, “Blame Granholm!” đ
I say that to all the Democrats who are ticked off…. Don’t like being defeated? Don’t elect idiots… Just that simple.
Of course, I tend to believe this had something to do with it too. Americans are just not cool with that sort of thuggery…
As for me, I’m going to bed… More blogging and opinion tomorrow…
As usual liberals cannot detect snark.
Perhaps Alan Colmes can try vetting his own damned party.
Do I really think that about liberals? No. đ
Why’d I say it? Because I fucking enjoy watching liberals heads explode. đ đ
I am pissed off about how Democrats ran Michigan into the ground. Not to mention what they did with the healthcare bill, the bailouts. and the so-called “Stimulus” that utterly failed.
So, yeah, I am a bit pissed; so, fuck ’em if they don’t like it. đĄ
I consider it to be a badge of honor to be an object of their rage. đ

Out With the Garbage!!
Video: (Via Michelle Malkin)
The Washington Examiner has the story:
If you thought negative campaign ads were a problem in this election, perhaps you havenât spent enough time in Virginiaâs 5th district. This video depicts two men unleashing a string of racial epithets at members of Americans for Prosperity, who took the video. While flailing arms and shouting, the two also start yanking signs off of private property and throwing them aside, while saying, âThis is public space. I pay taxpayer dollars while yâall to spread racism and bigotry.â
Michelle Malkin Says:
Especially love how he screams âYou f**king House nigger white-black bitch!â at a black GOP woman and then turns around and screams âRAAAAACIST!â at her and the rest of the peaceful conservative activists peacefully sitting together in their yard.
I am seriously starting to believe that people like Trent Lott and Strom Thurmond…. were absolutely right. đ
Countdown to some unhinged Black liberal coming here and calling me a “RAAAACIST!” đ
Because you know, like the guy in the video says, if that would have been a Conservative tearing those signs down, they would have been placed in jail in a big ol’ hurry. But, because he is a Democrat and black; he gets away with it. That is how it works anymore. If you are black, you can kill someone and just about get away with it. Just ask Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom.
Remember folks, VOTE and end this sort of crap! đĄ
Yes, I did.
Here’s my sticker to prove it:

My Sticker
Another shot:

Good spot for that sticker! đ
I do hope that you would do the same, because honestly, those who do not vote — have no right to complain.
Yes, I voted Republican. Because no libertarian has ever won an election that meant anything and because I believe that the Republican Party learned its lesson with the mistakes of Bush and is now working to get back to its true principles.
I love this Country and I want to see the America; that I grew up in, preserved. My vote was an effort to do just that.
I will be blogging about the returns later tonight. Hopefully, we can right this ship.
This is a video that Comcast conveniently forgot to air:
We the People of the First State from Friends of Christine O'Donnell on Vimeo.
I think she did well here. Hopefully, she can do well tomorrow.
This week we have a major wild card (Election) happening on Tuesday. Most of you know I don’t get involved with political discussion for several reasons… one of them being that I am Canadian “an outsider” looking in.
That being said, it looks and feels as though the market has been propped up and oil has been held down from an invisible force. Lots of theories going around saying higher stock and lower/stable oil prices will give voters the warm fuzzies to keep the current leaders elected… I prefer trading the charts and not getting caught in the Wall St. hype.
….and here’s their 5 year anniversary dialog:
Hey, after all, this is a political blog. đ
