We should have left the arrested hikers in Iran

Debbie shares their letter to a Berkley professor:

Dear As’ad,

I have to say that I am disappointed. Not only was you class one of my favorite’s at UCB, but I even talked up your blog to Josh in prison, and frequently pointed people to it before our arrest.

You say you “heard” that Josh Fattal is an Israeli. Where did you hear this patently false information? Josh is Jewish, not Israeli. People have also said that I, a corn-fed boy from rural Minnesota, am Jewish.
Sarah too. We are not. . . .

Why do people assume that because Josh is Jewish, he is Israeli . . .? Josh is NOT Israeli. Josh’s father is Israeli. Josh is American. . . .

The US engages in “imperialist feminism”. . . . The US government has been on a path of destruction in the Middle East for the past 60-70 years. . . .

Iran arrested the wrong people and they knew it all along. Neither our guards nor our investigators would go so far as to call us spies. None of us are spies. We are the opposite of spies. I have studied Arabic (which I speak fluently) and have spent years in the Arab world with the purpose of exposing injustice, especially but not exclusively the injustices of the US government. Before our arrest, I published a piece in the Nation about a previously unknown US backed death squad titled “Iraq’s New Death Squad” and another in Mother Jones magazine called “Sheikh Down” about US military corruption and use of militias in Iraq. Check these out if you need some evidence of our integrity. . . .

I insist that you correct your factual errors. Josh is not Israeli. Josh is a Jew and Josh is an anti-Zionist.

The voices of nuanced analysis are sadly few, especially in this county [DS: sic]. You have been one of those voices to me. . . .

Sincerely,

Shane Bauer

Holy cats! We let those haters out of Iran? My goodness. Should have let them rot in prison. 😡

Palin: Time to “reload for America”

God Bless this Woman for having the courage to stand for Christian Morals. I admit it, the idea of her being President, after abruptly leaving office in Alaska was not a good idea. However, I do admire the woman for having the courage to stand against the liberals and take the punishment from the left — and also from people on the right, like me, who thought she should not be President. I think Palin will be a player for a very long time. As I wrote before, I also think she should run for Senate. Then, maybe President in 2016. She has a good message, she just needs to build a resume.

The Story:

During a speech focusing on faith and family, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin called for the “restoration of America” during the Extraordinary Women Conference at Liberty University in Lynchburg Saturday.

Palin’s 90-minute speech veered from stories about moose hunting to Tea Party politics to the challenge of raising a son with Down syndrome. Her message centered on the importance of having faith in God and steering America “back on the right track.”

“Now isn’t the time to retreat, now is the time to reload with truth so we can fight for this country and reload for America,” she said to more than 10,000 Christian women who traveled from across the country to hear her speak.

The theme for the evangelical Christian women’s conference was “extraordinary hope,” and Palin quipped:

“I’m talking about real hope, not that hopey changey stuff that some politicians try to get you go believe in.”

The visit was Palin’s first to Liberty, and hotels across the region sold out for the event.

via Palin says it’s time to “reload for America” | The News & Advance.

Of course, you know that the liberal media; who lives under the whole “Eeek! Guns!” mentality will blast her for using gun phrasing. But real Americans, like me, know what she is talking about — which is why I run this blog and have ran it for 5 years with little or not pay at all. (in the beginning, there was NO pay, at all.)  Because I love this Country, Because I very highly disagree with what the President is doing with this Country, because I want this Country to be what it was, when I was kid. That is why I — we are here, and a wake up call to the liberal left — we are not going away either. You may try and stop us; but we true Americans — are not going anywhere.

Update: Two things I find link worthy.

First this, from the crawdad hole:

I guess the people like Andy Sullivan and his ilk are gonna be unhappy, because Sarah apparently has no intention of going away. I have to wonder what would have happened if they had just left her alone when she first went back to Alaska after the 2008 elections.

I happen to agree with that. Sully is was way too harsh on her and still is; I can understand wanting to get to the truth; but he has a very unnatural obsession with destroying her. It was terrible. I think it has more to do with her Christianity, than anything else.

Secondly, a rare occurrence here on political byline. I am going to disagree with a fellow Conservative blogger.

William A. Jacobson writes:

I think there’s a lot of truth there.  Palin frequently is depicted as someone who sought out the spotlight and was a publicity hound, but the reality is that circumstances found her, not the other way around.

What if Palin had been allowed to function as Governor without the relentless attacks from the likes of Andrew Sullivan, various anti-Palin bloggers, the media, establishment Republicans, and frequent-filers of frivolous ethics complaints?

Attacking Palin became an industry, and when she fought back she was blamed.  The derangement started the day she was designated by John McCain as the VP nominee, and it continues to this day from small people like David Frum.

Palin  didn’t bring it on herself, but having found herself in the cross-hairs, she fought back.  Good on her.

This is where I must disagree. Well, partially. The part I underlined and turned red is the part that I disagree with. Let me explain myself, least a blog war break out; and believe me, I really do not want that! 😯 Anyhow, there were times, when Sarah Palin, to use a phrase, shot herself in the foot. Mainly it had to do with messaging. Now, whether that was Sarah Palin’s fault or not; is another story. I believe a good amount of that was due to her poor handling in the beginning, by the McCain campaign and by the people who were originally advising her after the 2008 campaign.

The good thing is, that now, Palin has some very good people, giving her some very good advice — and it shows, greatly.

When is a Jew, not really a Jew?

Before anyone flips their cork —- That is a rhetorical question.

Remember the Antisemitism that I wrote about at the #OccupyWallStreet protests?

Well, it seems now; that a very well known Conservative Jewish Blogger is being called a “Fake Jew”; by one of her own people, who happens to be a liberal Democrat.

This is about as bad, as the video I posted earlier, of Herman Cain being berated by a liberal white man.

Let me give you a reality check; it is the same mentality. You wander off the plantation; whether it is the black liberal plantation or the Jewish liberal camp plantation —- you do this, and they attack you, with both barrels.

It is the same mentality of Adolf Hitler. One of, “you either submit to our mindset, or we destroy you.” Only difference is, liberals cannot round up Blacks and Jews and put them in camps.

UPDATED: Video: Lawrence O’Donnell’s racist and condescending interview of Herman Cain

I do not know where to begin with this video.

First, Lawrence O’Donnell tries to accuse Herman Cain of draft dodging. Then, he accuses him of various idiot things. Not to mention the “Citizen Cain” in the Chyron at the bottom of the screen.  Not to mention the whole condescending tone of the entire video.

There is only one thing that comes to my mind, when watching these videos — Racism. 😡

I mean, could you just imagine, if a Fox News Channel anchor had handled an interview like this, with a black man? There would be protests outside of the News Corp. Building, Fox News Channels studios in New York, and Al Sharpton would be calling for Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch’s head!

Here are the videos, all three parts. You watch these video and you tell me, if they are not racist or not.

Via Mediaite:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Again, watch the videos and think about if Fox News or any other Conservative outlet sounded this condescending or used “Citizen Cain” as a Chyron. What could the reaction be? I think we all know the answer.

Nothing pisses me off worse, than to watch a privileged white man, who happens to be a liberal; berate a black man, all because he happens to disagree with his politics. That is an outrage and if the Conservative media, including Fox News Channel, ever pulled a stunt like that, there would be riots in the streets. But because Mr. Herman Cain is a Conservative black man — it is perfectly fine. Hell, even this self-hating black man thinks its fine. What an asshole, what a traitor to the back race — sort of like this Murdering, race-hustling, jack ass, who is now dead.

This is another fine reason why I stopped voting for the Democrats, because it is like LBJ said himself:

I’ll have them niggers voting for democrats for 300 years!

…and you know what? The Democrats are keeping ’em voting Democratic Party; with hand outs and yes, with Brainwashing.

Update: Even the liberals at DailyKos are not happy with the interview: (H/T Flopping Aces)

1) When you think of Herman Cain, do you ever find yourself thinking, “gee, he was a black teen in the early-1960s. Why didn’t he participate in civil rights movement?” I’m not an African-American and wasn’t alive in the ’60s, but so what if he didn’t? I am not sure what the implication is there, but was it incumbent upon ever African-American to march? And does not participating in the civil rights movement imply … what? I suppose it might be a fairer question to ask a white person who was around in that era, but only slightly.

I’m going to go out on a limb and presume that Herman Cain was opposed to segregation.

2) Out of nowhere, O’Donnell asked Cain, who worked (but did not serve) in the Navy, whether he was qualified to be Commander-in-Chief after not serving in Vietnam. Really?! Is this still a thing? I have a hard time believing that O’Donnell genuinely cares about Cain’s lack of military service (Clinton and Obama never served), but was possibly trying to posit him as a hypocrite. But that’s kind of hard to do when, while not exactly serving, he was working in ballistics for the Navy.

Seemed like a completely disingenuous line of questioning on O’Donnell’s part, and made me cringe.

The Late Night Music Express presents: Hank Williams Jr.

Hank Williams Jr. and his iconic theme song will not return to ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” the network announced Thursday.

In the wake of Williams using an analogy involving Adolf Hitler and President Barack Obama to make a political point on the Fox News Channel, Williams’ “All My Rowdy Friends” will no longer be part of the MNF opening.

“We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr,” ESPN said in a statement. “We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.”

On his own website, Williams said he was the one who made the decision.

“After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision,” he wrote. “By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.”

In an interview Monday on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Williams, unprompted, said of Obama’s outing on the links with House Speaker John Boehner: “It’d be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu.”

Asked to clarify, Williams said, “They’re the enemy,” adding that by “they” he meant Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

ESPN pulled Williams’ opening to Monday night’s Indianapolis-Tampa Bay game and issued a statement saying: “While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football. We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”

Williams, through his publicist, said on Monday: “Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood. My analogy was extreme — but it was to make a point. I was simply trying to explain how stupid it seemed to me — how ludicrous that pairing was. They’re polar opposites and it made no sense. They don’t see eye-to-eye and never will. I have always respected the office of the president.”

Tuesday, he issued another statement.”The thought of the leaders of both parties jukin and high fiven on a golf course, while so many families are struggling to get by simply made me boil over and make a dumb statement,” Williams wrote on Facebook and his website. “I am very sorry if it offended anyone.”

Williams’ song has been part of “Monday Night Football” since 1991 on both ESPN and ABC. He is a Grammy award winner who also was a three-time entertainer of the year from the Academy of Country Music in the 1980s. — Source ESPN

Race-Hustler and Murderer Shareef Allman is shot by police

I’ll be darned, I no sooner push out a story as to why this race-hustler started killing people, and I discover that has assumed room temperature.

Shareef Allman, the man suspected of killing three people and wounding seven others during a workplace shooting, has been shot and killed this morning by Santa Clara County Sheriff’s deputies, according to multiple law enforcement agencies.

Allman was fatally shot at about 7:20 a.m. after being found at a house in Sunnyvale, according to multiple law enforcement agencies.

Lt. Rick Sung of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said a man was shot this morning by sheriff’s deputies who had been searching for Allman in the same neighborhood of Wednesday’s massive manhunt. The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety will investigate the officer-involved shooting.

A law enforcement source said Allman knew somebody who lives on Lorne Way.

via Suspect in Cupertino shooting spree has been shot and killed – San Jose Mercury News.

I hate to be the one to say it; but, it could not have happened to a better person. Well, maybe Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton or even Ed Brayton. ( 😯 ) ‘

Anyhow, the point I am making here is this;  if you use your race to act as a shield for your poor job performance, and when that does not work anymore — you kill people? You die, especially if you pull a gun on a police officer. I do not care what race you are, this sort of stuff is just wrong. What burns my rear about this; is the liberal left, will use this tragic incident to try and advocate for stricter gun laws.

Another thing that really burns my bottom side; is that the liberal left and their cohorts in the media; will act like this crime never even happened.  If anything at all; the man will be seen as a martyr to the race-hustling crowd. That’s right, he will be seen as a hero to these people; and not as the criminal murder, that he really was.

But then again, we are talking about the liberal left — none of this should be a big surprise to the rest of America.

You want to know why Shareef Allman really went on a killing spree?

Then go read this right here.

The dude was a lousy unsafe driver and used his race as a shield; and when that little gig was up, he started killing people.

Here is hoping that this morally depraved piece of human excrement is put out of his own misery by the police.

Shareef Allman is a disgrace to the black race. Not to mention a two-bit phony.

The really ironic part, he did not just kill white people; he killed Latinos as well. That alone ought to have the Latino community out in California pissed off.

But to listen to the NAACP out there talk; this dude was a Christian man. To which I ask; by what standards?!?

Another thing too; this sick incident, where an angry black man shoots and kills those, who he has a problem with, will be used to try and enact stricter gun laws — which is absolutely stupid.

BREAKING NEWS: Steve Jobs has died

Video via ABC News:

The Story:

Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind Apple‘s iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes, has died, Apple said. Jobs was 56.

Jobs died “peacefully” surrounded by family members, his family said in a statement.

Neither Jobs’ family nor Apple revealed where Jobs died or from what cause, though in recent years he had fought a form of pancreatic cancer and had a liver transplant.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,” read a statement by Apple’s board of directors. “Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.”

The homepage of Apple’s website switched to a full-page image of Jobs with the text, “Steve Jobs 1955-2011.”

Clicking on the image revealed additional text, credited in a separate memo to Apple employees to current Apple CEO Tim Cook.

“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being,” the text read. “Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

I own an iPod touch, I even blog from it. I love it and I thank Mr. Jobs for his contribution. May he rest in peace.

…and seeing that I am supposed to be a sarcastic Conservative blogger; I shall say this….. Maybe NOW they’ll finally put adobe FLASH in these silly things! 😉

BREAKING NEWS: Sarah Palin makes it official: Not running in 2012

I figured this, but it’s news…

Via ABC News:

This is Diane Sawyer who seems to take a bit much joy in this story:

The audio is available at Mark Lavin’s website.

Here’s the video: (H/T to the Right Scoop)

It is tough listening to Levin read that; Levin sounded like he was near crying reading it. He so much liked Palin.

Here is the Statement in full:

October 5, 2011

Wasilla, Alaska
After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.

From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back – and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.

I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables. We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.

Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.

In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.

Thank you again for all your support. Let’s unite to restore this country!

God bless America.

– Sarah Palin

AllahPundit Comments:

She did the smart thing by staying out. Just yesterday, CBS found that three out of four Republicans didn’t want her to run compared to just 23 percent who did. Her favorable numbers have been underwater for ages and she would have been hammered on the inexperience charge for failing to finish her term as governor. I do think she could have emerged as the “Not Romney” in the race over Cain and a weakened Perry, but realistically there was no way to beat Mitt once it was a binary choice. His campaign pockets are too deep and undecided Republicans are too desperate to beat The One to roll the dice on a nominee who’s arguably unelectable. Once Christie decided not to get in and split the centrist vote with Romney, there was no obvious path for her (which may explain the timing of her announcement today). Worse, there was a chance that she wouldn’t even emerge as the “Not Romney”: If Perry or Cain ended up faring better than her in Iowa or South Carolina, it would have shattered her mystique as the ultimate champion of grassroots conservatives. By staying out, her supporters now get to say “she would have won if she ran” without ever having to test their theory and she gets to kinda sorta play kingmaker as people wait to see if she’ll endorse Perry, Cain, or (gasp) Romney. And who knows? Maybe she’ll focus now on challenging Begich for Senate in Alaska in 2014, which would be a huge first step back towards national viability down the road. She’s 47 years old, fully 25 years younger than McCain was when he was nominated three years ago. No rush.

[…]

My guess is that Cain benefits the most from her absence. Like her, he’s a Beltway outsider, and like her, he seems like a real person, not a talking-points machine like the Romneybot or a back-slapping gladhander like Perry. Authenticity has always been key to Palin’s appeal among her supporters and that’s Cain all over. Besides, where else could her supporters go realistically? Romney’s too centrist and Bachmann’s a lost cause. And Perry’s been knocked by Palin (sometimes by name, sometimes not) for both his crony-capitalist tendencies and his Gardasil initiative, so unless she ends up endorsing him, there’s every reason for her fans to think he’s a nonstarter. My hunch is that some of them also resent Perry (and to a lesser degree Bachmann) for having jumped in before her, since they split the bloc of grassroots conservative votes that might otherwise have gone entirely to her. In a straight-up Romney/Palin race, with no big donors having migrated to Perry and no social conservatives in Iowa having migrated to Bachmann, maybe she could have pulled the upset. But not now.

Krauthammer says Palin Not Running Like “Sun Rising In The East”

The folks over at Conservatives 4 Palin reacting with mixed emotions. I will give those people credit; they were the real supporters, who stuck with her through thick and thin.

A new video from SarahPAC:

I wish her the best, I admit it, I did not like her running for President. However, I thought she was a good voice for Conservatism. May she never fade away…

Blogger round up here.

Obama Administration as an accessory to murder over Fast and Furious?

That’s what they are saying.

Looks like this Fast and Furious could be the beginning of the end of this Administration.

First, there is this via InstaPundit:

INVESTOR’S BUSINESS DAILY: Indict Eric Holder. “A major-league pitcher was indicted for lying to Congress about steroid use. Administration memos show Eric Holder lied about what he knew about Fast and Furious and when he knew it. What’s the difference?”

Plus this: “Somewhere, Scooter Libby must be scratching his head. He was indicted and convicted simply because his recall of when a meeting occurred differed from others. He didn’t lie about a gun-running operation that led to the deaths of two American agents and at least 200 Mexicans. But Attorney General Eric Holder did, according to memos obtained by CBS News and Fox News.”

Then, there is this via Daily Caller:

Republican Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona told The Daily Caller on Wednesday that Obama administration officials responsible for Operation Fast and Furious might be accessories to murder.

“We’re talking about consequences of criminal activity, where we actually allowed guns to walk into the hands of criminals, where our livelihoods are at risk,” Gosar said in a phone interview. “When you facilitate that and a murder or a felony occurs, you’re called an accessory. That means that there’s criminal activity.”

Gosar said the government should be held to the same standard as everyone else. Fast and Furious weapons were used to kill U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, as well as scores of Mexican citizens, and he thinks administration officials should be held accountable.

“We impugn the private sector, we impugn main street America, and the bureaucracy cannot be held to any different standard whatsoever,” Gosar told TheDC, insisting that Justice Department and ATF officials “intentionally — intentionally — violated the law.”

Gosar said the administration was “showing an intentional, wanton disregard for the law,” and that “there’s got to be consequences for that.”

“Leadership has a price,” he added.

Gosar said he’s confident the Congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious will eventually include either the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, or both.

This does not look good, at all.

For someone reason, in the pit of my gut; I have a feeling that there is going to another Saturday Night Massacre in Washington D.C. I was hoping that President Obama has not gotten that corrupt, not going be that removed from reality and into a bunker mentality. But something tells me, that I am wrong and that it is about to break.

Stay Tuned.

Ugh: Video: Ugliness at #OccupyWallStreet protest

This comes via Dan Riehl:

This is why this video, which is in my “About this Blog” section is so important! Here is the REAL relevant part of this video:

cropped with SnipSnip

You people on Mobile devices might not be able to see the snipped video; but the rest of us can.

This my friends, is why I blog. We simply cannot allow haters to scapegoat this economic recession on a particular group of people. It is anti-freedom to do so. For this and many other reasons, is why I write.

For the record, it was not just one person either; it was many. This video is via Fox Nation:

Notice how when he realizes he is on camera; he really gets into the spiel and really begins the berate the Jewish man standing there? This is what these haters are all about; attention for their cause, which is unabashed hatred. It is one of the downsides of being a free Republic. Even the idiots have a right to their say.

Video: Fast and Furious becoming quite the ugly scandal for the Obama White House

First, check out this video of an interview by Laura Ingraham, which comes via The Weekly Standard:

Transcript:

In between the yelling that I received from Justice Department yesterday, the spokeswoman–who would not put anything in writing, I was asking for her explanation so there would be clarity and no confusion later over what had been said, she wouldn’t put anything in writing–so we talked on the phone and she said things such as the question Holder answered was different than the one he asked. But he phrased it, he said very explicitly, ‘I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.’

[…]

Ingraham: So they were literally screaming at you?
Attkisson: Yes. Well the DOJ woman was just yelling at me. The guy from the White House on Friday night literally screamed at me and cussed at me. [Laura: Who was the person? Who was the person at Justice screaming?] Eric Schultz. Oh, the person screaming was [DOJ spokeswoman] Tracy Schmaler, she was yelling not screaming. And the person who screamed at me was Eric Schultz at the White House.”

[….]

[The White House and Justice Department] will tell you that I’m the only reporter–as they told me–that is not reasonable. They say the Washington Post is reasonable, the LA Times is reasonable, the New York Times is reasonable, I’m the only one who thinks this is a story, and they think I’m unfair and biased by pursuing it.

I hate to belabor that point; but Ingraham is right here, could you imagine if Karl Rove screamed and swore at an NBC reporter covering a story? Holy smokes… 😯

Well, no matter House GOP is now requesting special counsel to give holder a good probing:

The Video:

Quote via Fox News:

EXCLUSIVE: House Republicans are calling for a special counsel to determine whether Attorney General Eric Holder perjured himself during his testimony to the House Judiciary Committee on Operation Fast and Furious, Fox News has learned.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, was sending a letter to President Obama on Tuesday arguing that Holder cannot investigate himself, and requesting the president instruct the Department of Justice to appoint a special counsel.

The question is whether Holder committed perjury during a Judiciary Committee hearing on May 3. At the time, Holder indicated he was not familiar with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives program known as Fast and Furious until about April 2011.

“I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks,” Holder testified.

Do you think this might be why President Obama is not really trying that hard to campaign for his reelection in 2012? Could be!

Update: Just a bit of a shout-out to reader “little acorn” who has been going to every Conservative and firearm forum out there and passing my blog posting around; I do not know who you are, but my goodness do you ever get around! 😆 😉 Anyhow, thanks to Sean Hannity’s Forum, Nebraska Firearms Forum, Subguns.com forum, Time Bomb 2000 Forums for linking here. It makes me feel good to know that people actually give two rips about what I actually have to say. Again, “little acorn,” I thank you, whomever you are. 😀

Niggerhead

I really had no intention of writing about this silly story; but, because it is to the point that it is starting to sound ridiculous, I felt some commentary was warranted.

Firstly, my positions:

  1. I am not a Rick Perry fan boy
  2. I think this whole “NiggerHead” story is borderline tabloid news nonsense
  3. I do not honestly believe that Rick Perry is a racist — like the Democrats in Texas.

Look, I think this sort of “Guilt by association” thing is nuts — to a point.  What I mean is this — it is one thing to be a part of a Church, who’s Pastor says things, such as “God Damn America” and you, your wife and kids go there and interact with those people.  It is another entirely to try to tie someone to, of all things — a rock, that was painted over long before you even rented the property.

Furthermore, I think Conservatives who are attacking Herman Cain need to shut up.  Herman Cain is a black man and I do believe that entitles the man to make any comment about race or racism that he sees fit make, if he so feels fit to do so.  Besides all of that, Herman Cain said he was not playing the race card and I do tend to believe him.  Herman Cain is not Al Sharpton my friends, nor is he Louis Farrakhan; and I believe Conservatives should not be reacting to Herman Cain’s comments as if he is Louis Farrakhan or Al Sharpton either.

My biggest issue with Rick Perry is from Texas and that he possesses a bit of that Texas swagger.  The United States of America, nor the Republican Party, nor the Conservative movement need another Texas swagger leader again.  We had that for eight years in this Country and it did nothing for this Country, at all.  We found this out with Iraq, the bailouts, no child left behind and all of the rest of the former President’s blunders.  Granted, this current President makes the former look like a Rhodes Scholar.  However, I do not wear partisan blinders and I know full of the blunders of the last President.  My question to all of you is; do we want that….again?

Thus is the conflict of conservative politics — purity versus electability.  If conservative politics were drugs, Ron Paul is Persian white heroin.  The problem is this; Ron Paul addicts, as it were, just love him.  The rest of us, are scared to death of him and his foreign policy!  Therefore, to be clear here, I am, by no means, a Bill Kristol or a John Podhoretz type, when it comes to foreign policy — but a little common sense is needed when dealing with the Middle East.  I will not belabor the point; I think you all know what I mean here.  (I hope!)

Simply put, purity over electability will be the death knell of the Republican Party.  Just ask anyone who was around in 1964 in the Republican Party.

UPDATED: My atheist stalker

It seems that Ed Brayton is lacking in his homosexual fulfillment again and once again is linking to my blog.

This turd pawns himself off as a libertarian. But in reality, he’s nothing more than a hate-mongering leftist, who’s bigoted against anyone who disagrees with his worldview. It’s typical leftist behavior. In fact, it was his bigotry and strange fixation with the religious right, that got him tossed from science blogs. In short, they told him to get lost with the hate or leave. This comes from three different sources and was verified by the site admins.

Just an FYI, you come from his blog and you leave an troll or moby comment, I’ll just delete it. Why? because I can. I figure I deal with enough and Ed’s just an butthole leftist. He or his mindless followers deserve no stage here.

I don’t mind people who disagree with me. Heck, I don’t even mind atheists; AllahPundit being a perfect example, but this turd, is just a hater. I call him gay, because of his unnatural fixation with me —- and because I know it tweaks him off, and there is nothing he can do about it —- which brings me some satisfaction.

In fact, he likes to accuse me of being a bully, but it was HIM who told those who questioned his attacking of me to leave, if they did not like it. Bullies never like dissent; it’s a part if their fascist nature. Unlike me, Ed Brayton wants to see people, like me, censored even silenced. Which, again, is their nature. Simply put, leftists hate Christians, Israel and true freedom.

Update: I shut down the comments on this posting; like I said, I don’t think Ed Brayton’s band of MOBY’s and trolls deserve a stage here. So, I shut down the platform. I won’t be responding to this loser again, that is what he wants —- the spiritually depraved loon.

Michele Bachmann’s campaign sputters

It is a sad thing, but I knew it was coming:

Reporting from Des Moines—

Michele Bachmann’s appearance on a talk radio show here should have been a breeze. Ronald Reagan was a sportscaster at the station in his early days, and his memorabilia is sprinkled around the office. The host was a friendly conservative.

But Bachmann repeatedly was asked the central question for her campaign: Does she have to win Iowa’s caucuses to keep her presidential campaign alive? She danced around an answer, saying she planned to win, until finally relenting when asked a third time whether failure would doom her effort.

“No, no, no, no,” Bachmann said, her voice growing uncertain. “Not necessarily; we might go on.”

It was a rare moment of audible frustration for the Minnesota congresswoman, and the break in her perennially cheery demeanor demonstrated just how much her bid does rest on Iowa.

After she formally announced her candidacy at her birthplace of Waterloo, about 100 miles northeast of here, Bachmann surged, capping the summer with a win at the straw poll in Ames. Since then, her candidacy has sputtered.

To be quite honest with you, I never really thought that Bachmann would get anywhere. That because the woman just had no substance at all. Not to mention her record is a bit light. She was, essentially, Sarah Palin with time served. Which is quite cruel to say; but it is the truth.

Now for my Conservative Christian viewpoint:

As most of you know, I am a Fundamentalist Baptist, King James Bible and all that. Anyhow, the reason why are not more Conservative Christian women running for office? Because most of them are not feminists and are busy staying at home and raising their children. Instead of throwing their principles into the wind and doing what obviously should be a man’s job.

I know it sounds horrible; but hey, there was a time, when it was not considered to be Conservative for a woman to run for office. I happen to be of that “Old School” mindset, that happens to believe that it still should be that way. 😀

Rod Dreher returns to blogging

It seems that Rod Dreher has returned to blogging.

I did not always agree with him, but I always found his viewpoints interesting. I did agree with him on Palin and McCain however. I will be adding him to the blogroll.

Living proof that Keith Olbermann is a loon

See here and here

I won’t even embed that video here; I used to give that moron the benefit of the doubt. No more. He is a piece of crap of the highest order.

Here is hoping that someone runs him over with a car or something. 😡

I mean, is it not even more obvious now, why Bill O’Reilly beat this sorry piece of crap in the 8:00 O’clock ratings war? The man is now on a network, that NOBODY watches and is now reduced to mocking people’s last name? How lame can you get?

What a loon…. 🙄

Loser leftest protesters, over 700 of them, arrested in NYC

Idiots:

Updated, 3:35 a.m. Sunday | In a tense showdown above the East River, the police arrested more than 700 demonstrators from the Occupy Wall Street protests who took to the roadway as they tried to cross the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The police said it was the marchers’ choice that led to the enforcement action.

“Protesters who used the Brooklyn Bridge walkway were not arrested,” Paul J. Browne, the chief spokesman for the New York Police Department, said. “Those who took over the Brooklyn-bound roadway, and impeded vehicle traffic, were arrested.”

But many protesters said they believed the police had tricked them, allowing them onto the bridge, and even escorting them partway across, only to trap them in orange netting after hundreds had entered.

“The cops watched and did nothing, indeed, seemed to guide us onto the roadway,” said Jesse A. Myerson, a media coordinator for Occupy Wall Street who marched but was not arrested.

NYC Police should “Kent State” their butts, if a few of those leftist turds ended up in body bags; they would be a little less inclined to pull stupid crap like this.

Just my opinion….

Compared to the leftists in London, who about burned the city to the ground; these pikers are a bunch of wanna-be’s.

Iran floats bogus charges against Pastor

Remember that Iranian Pastor I wrote about? Well, it seems Iran is really trying hard to kill this guy:

Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani will be put to death for several charges of rape and extortion, charges that differ greatly from his original sentence of apostasy, Iran’s semi-official Fars News agency reported Friday.

Gholomali Rezvani, the deputy governor of Gilan province, where Nadarkhani was tried and convicted, accused Western media of twisting the real story, referring to him as a “rapist.” A previous report from the news agency claimed he had committed several violent crimes, including repeated rape and extortion.

“His crime is not, as some claim, converting others to Christianity,” Rezvani told Fars. “He is guilty of security-related crimes.”

In a translated Iranian Supreme Court brief from 2010, however, the charge of apostasy is the only charge leveled against Nadarkhani.

“Mr. Youcef Nadarkhani, son of Byrom, 32-years old, married, born in Rasht in the state of Gilan is convicted of turning his back on Islam, the greatest religion the prophesy of Mohammad at the age of 19,” reads the brief.

So much for that Religion of tolerance, eh? If we cannot put you to death for trying to muscle in on our turf; we’ll fabricate false charges against you!

Of course, Iran is operating under Shariah law and if we are not really careful here in America, that crap will end up here.
