Blagojevich found guilty

Heh.

Saying he was “stunned,” Rod Blagojevich was uncharacteristically tight-lipped today after a jury convicted him on 17 of 20 counts of corruption against him.

Holding his wife’s hand, Blagojevich spoke in a somber tone to a crush of reporters in the federal courthouse. “Patti and I obviously are very disappointed in the outcome. I, frankly, am stunned. There’s not much left to say other than we want to get home to our little girls and talk to them and explain things to them and try to sort things out. And I’m sure we’ll be seeing you.”

The two then walked to a waiting car as some in the crowd booed.

The federal jury found that the former governor brazenly abused the powers of his office in a series of attempted shakedowns captured on undercover government recordings.

Blagojevich showed no reaction as the jury announced its decision. Once the verdicts were read, he sat back in his chair with his lips pursed, looked toward his wife Patti and whispered, “I love you.”

As the first guilty verdict was read, Patti Blagojevich slumped into the arms of her brother, who stroked her head. She kept shaking her head “no” as the jurors left the courtroom, and once the judge was gone, the former governor grabbed his wife’s right hand and hugged and kissed her.

Republicans say “No Mas!” to debt ceiling talks

Looks like the Republicans have had enough.

This comes via ABC’s The Note:

Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., will also drop out of the debt talks, a source within his office confirms today. The Arizona Republican’s office will issue a formal statement shortly.

After House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) dropped out of the talks this morning, Senator Kyl was the lone Republican in the group left. And with his withdrawal late this morning, the group does not have a Republican negotiator left in the room.

The group was set to meet for the 11th time this afternoon with Vice President Biden, their third meeting of the week.

The group started as six – but is now down to four members from Congress. The remaining members are: Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Senate Appropriations Chairman Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), Assistant House Minority Leader James Clyburn (D-S.C.), and House Budget Committee ranking member Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.).

This is nothing more, than the Republicans finally growing a pair and telling the Democrats, “you made this bed; now lay in it!!”

What I find amusing is this idiot spin by the Democrats:

UPDATE 12:00 p.m. – A Senior Democratic aide says, “Cantor and Kyl just threw Boehner and McConnell under the bus. This move is an admission that there will be a need for revenues and Cantor and Kyl don’t want to be the ones to make that deal.”

More liberal spin and bullcrap. The Republicans; unlike liberals, know that raising taxes on the Nation’s top earners is NOT a smart way to create jobs and generate revenue for the Country. The way to do this properly is to lower taxes for the top earners and remove regulation for the aspiring entrepreneur, who wants to follow the American dream and be his own boss.

But, no, the Democrats want to TAX the crap out of EVERYONE; not just the top earners, but everyone, to pay for their ill-conceived and hair-brained plans like so-called “economic stimulus” that did not work at all. This is why the Republicans walked out on these talks.

Allahpundit over at HotAir.com snarks:

Note to self: Buy gold.

…….and seeing that the Republicans and Democrats are not willing to come together to fix this problem. That is most likely not a very bad idea……

Message to Rep. Sheila Jackson, Maybe we should investigate militant Negros who want overthrow our Country

The headline is provocative one and for a damned good reason.

First the video:

The Story via CNSNEWS:

(CNSNews.com) – At a congressional hearing on Muslim radicalization in U.S. prisons, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) said that investigators needed to analyze Christian militants in America because they too might try to “bring down the country.”

In an exchange with witness Patrick Dunleavy, the former deputy inspector of the criminal intelligence unit, New York Department of Correctional Services, Rep. Jackson Lee mentioned the case of a man who blew up an abortion clinic and proposed that this perhaps was an attempt to undermine U.S. law that allows a woman to procure an abortion.

Rep. Lee then said, “As we look to be informational, we should include an analysis of how Christian militants or others might bring down the country. We have to look broadly, do we not?”

Dunleavy answered: “I don’t know that Christian militants have foreign country backing or foreign country financing.”

Lee then said, “I don’t think that’s the issue. The issue is whether or not their intent is to undermine the laws of this nation. And I think it is clear that that is the case. So it’s not — your distinction is not answering the question.

This proves it right here; that liberals equate small time lone wolf criminals to foreign funded Muslim terrorists. I see the point she is making; and it is a stupid one, there is no comparison.

While we’re on the subject, why don’t we investigate terrorist Negros that would like to see our so-called “White Controlled Government overthrown, like these people here:

or maybe as to the funding of this man here:

This is what we ought to be investigating in this Country, is how things like this were funded by Liberals in this Country.

We as Americans are supposed to be sane, rational people. We are told that not all blacks feel this way. We, as Conservatives, who reject the idea of “group thought” or collectivism, are not supposed to believe that all blacks feel this way. However, when you have a liberal senator comparing the actions of a few extremists to the actions of a globally funded group of Muslim terrorists; one must ask, where do her loyalties lie? One must ask, does she agree with the militant Negros like the ones in the video above? Who, by the way, agree with Al-Qaeda terrorists, — that America should be destroyed.

It is questions like this, which I ask on this blog. There is a battle for the soul of America; these are two of the groups, which wish to overthrow the power structure in this Country. This is why I blog, this is why I write, to fight against this liberal, idiotic mentality; because I do not wish to see my Country overran by those who wish to destroy her from within.

It is a fight that I will continue to battle till my dying days.

Update: Moonbattery Agrees with me.

I guess my parents were criminals

It appears that the liberals in Texas are getting a foothold down there.

Via CBS local affiliate:

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (CBS) — A judge in Corpus Christi, Texas had some harsh words for a mother charged with spanking her own child before sentencing her to probation.

“You don’t spank children today,” said Judge Jose Longoria. “In the old days, maybe we got spanked, but there was a different quarrel. You don’t spank children.”

Rosalina Gonzales had pleaded guilty to a felony charge of injury to a child for what prosecutors had described as a “pretty simple, straightforward spanking case.” They noted she didn’t use a belt or leave any bruises, just some red marks.

As part of the plea deal, Gonzales will serve five years probation, during which time she’ll have to take parenting classes, follow CPS guidelines, and make a $50 payment to the Children’s Advocacy Center.

She was arrested back in December after the child’s paternal grandmother noticed red marks on the child’s rear end. The grandmother took the girl, who was two years-old at the time, to the hospital to be checked out.

Gonzales who doesn’t have custody of the child or her other two children, is trying to get them back, but until CPS feels she is ready the kids are living with their paternal grandmother.

InstaPundit says:

Really? We know the judge’s name — and I regard this as an utter dereliction of duty — but who’s the prosecutor who decided to bring charges? Both should be ridden out of office on a rail for this outrageous interference with parental authority.

And have you noticed that the same people who want to undermine parental authority — say by sending parents to jail for spanking kids — also demand a high degree of parental responsibility for things kids do, to the point of jailing parents when kids don’t go to school?

UPDATE: Reader Joe Rigney writes: “Sounds like a gubernatorial pardon might be in order. That would be one more plus for a Perry presidential run.”

I agree Glenn and I would love nothing more than to get this idiot Judge’s home address and telephone number and post it here to the blog. Because, I figure this idiot is a public servant; he wants to make stupid decisions like this, he should not have a problem with his home phone number being up and he should not mind getting phone calls at his house about making such an idiotic decision.

Of course, we really should not be surprised at this sort of thing really. Liberals have been trying to stop corporal punishment for years. They have outlawed it in most schools, and now they are starting prosecute parents who dare to do it to their children.  This is also a textbook example as to why you do not elect activist judges or allow liberal Presidents to win elections. Because when you do; things happen — like this right here.

Update: Jazzshaw writing over at HotAir.com says there could be more to this Story, than is being reported, and he could be right. I know what he means about the drawer. I use to get it from my Mother, and I am now 38 years old and I still do not backtalk her, at all! 😯

The White House experiences “Blowback” from the Progressive Community

In other words a repeat of what happened in 1968?

It could very well be.

First the Unions, now this…

First a report from ABC News:

The frustrations and the fears that progressives feel about President Obama were on full display Thursday as thousands of them flocked to Minneapolis for the sixth annual Netroots Nation conference.

Former Wisconsin senator Russ Feingold said he hoped that Obama will be re-elected, but he urged the president to stand up to corporate interests, demanding that the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling become a focal point of the 2012 campaign.

“Sometimes we have to be very direct with the Democratic Party. Just as you have long pushed our Democrats to stand up for their ideals, I’m here this evening to ask you to redouble your efforts because I fear that the Democratic Party is in danger of losing its identity,” Feingold said in his keynote address to a crowd of around 2,400 progressive activists and bloggers here at the Minneapolis Convention Center, the most ever for the event.

Specifically, Feingold ripped Priorities USA, a super political action committee started last spring by former White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton.

“I think it’s a mistake for us to take the argument that they like to make that, ‘Well, what we’re going to do now is, we’re going to take the corporate money like the Republicans do and then after we win, we’ll change it.’ When’s the last time anyone did that? Most people don’t change the rules after they win by them. It doesn’t usually happen. It never happens,” Feingold said. “You know what? I think we’ll lose anyway if we do this. We’ll lose our soul when it comes to the issue of corporate domination. People will see us as weak. People will see us as corporate-lite. We’ll gut our message. I think it’s not just wrong, I think it’s a dumb strategy. It’s dumb because people will not believe us if we do this, so I strongly disagree with those who are trying to create these PACs. I know people want to win. I understand that. I like to win, too. And I know that today’s Republican party has found more ways to play dirty, so I empathize with the desire to fight fire with fire, but Democrats should just never be in the business of taking unlimited corporate contributions. It’s dancing with the devil and it’s a game that we will never win.”

“It’s not just campaigns and contributions,” Feingold noted. “We have to say to the president, ‘Mr. President, Jeff Immelt is not the right guy – the CEO of GE is not the right guy to be running your Jobs & Competitiveness Council, not when your company doubled its profits, increased his compensation, and asked its workers to take huge pay and benefits cuts.”

Then, there is this; seems like the White House and grass roots are talking past one another — Via The Hill:

President Obama’s communications czar sought to soothe frustrated liberals Friday, telling them Obama needs their support to win reelection.

White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer faced a grilling during an appearance at the Netroots Nation conference, a gathering of liberal bloggers and activists meeting this year in Minneapolis.

Pfeiffer faced tough questions from Kaili Joy Gray, an associate editor for the liberal blog Daily Kos, who often reacted to the communications director’s answers to questions with an audible sigh or a skeptical, elongated “OK.”

(“Frankly, we’re all a little sick of hearing about that one,” Gray said of Pfeiffer’s mentions of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.) Hecklers sometimes interjected during the Q-and-A, voicing their skepticism toward Pfeiffer and accusing him of being evasive in his answers.

Pfeiffer admitted that the administration has been “frustrated” with its critics on the left, but pleaded for their support heading into 2012.

“We can either work together and finish that work that we started in 2008 or we can be relegated back to the sidelines and see what a Republican president … does to this country,” he said at the event, which was streamed online.

Pfeiffer said that Obama is “absolutely” counting on his liberal base to turn out in 2012.

It’s no secret that liberals have been frustrated with the Obama White House, which has differed with the left on a host of foreign policy and economic issues.

The administration also has sometimes been frustrated with its liberal supporters.

This friction was perhaps best reflected in former press secretary Robert Gibbs’s criticism of the “professional left” in an interview with The Hill last year. The comments sparked outrage from progressive activists who saw that phrase as derogatory.

“Sometimes when our friends attack us, we get frustrated,” Pfeiffer said of the White House’s relationship with the left.

“I also know that beyond that, without a lot of the people in this room today, Barack Obama would not be president of the United States,” he said at the outset of the program.]

What you are seeing here; is what the CIA refers to as “Blowback.”  For every action, there is a reaction and consequence for that action.  You simply cannot straight lie to, or overreach in your promises to your base of voters and then when the election is over and you have won that election; tell your base to “kiss off” and show them to the door.  When you do this, you lose support.  You would think that Democrats would have learned this lesson, when Bill Clinton was in office; but I guess the Democrats are not the party of learning.

This is not to say that Republicans have never done this; sure, they have — President Ronald Reagan did this back during his run for the White House back in the 1980’s with the Christian Coalition.  Reagan gave the Conservative Christian group a place at the table, listened to their concerns; gave them some lip service and proceeded to ignore every one of their issues.  Truth is the only reason Reagan won that second term is that the Democrats ran a lousy candidate.

This is not to say that Ronald Reagan could not bring people together, that he could do.  However, he was not one that was going to be told what to do by any particular group.  That is because Ronald Reagan knew that he was the President of the United States and not the President of the Republican Party or the Conservative Christian community.  This is the same lesson that President Barack Obama is learning now in the White House and the lesson that the progressive community also has to learn.  That is, that the President of the United States of America is the President of the people; all of the people, not just the progressives that worked to get him in there.

This is not to say that I am not empathic to their frustrations; believe me when I say that I am.  I understand how they feel; those grass roots people worked very hard to get this President into the White House and now they feel like they have been conned.  The problem was not that these were stupid or anything of that sort.  The problem is that the President knew what he was doing; in other words, he was stringing them along like little sheep and them, desiring a change from the previous President; ate it up.  In other words, they were played and were played hard.

This is not to say that this is first time that this has happened; nor will it be the last.  As long as there is a Democratic Party and as long as there are people foolish enough to believe that millionaire limousine liberals honestly give two flips about them, this will continue to happen.  You ask, “What about the Republican Party?  Do they not do this?”  In a sense, they do, but usually, Republicans are not standing around with their hands open, wanting a handout from the Government.  If any at all, the business owners and individuals in that party seek relief from an oppressive tax system that makes their lives miserable.  Sometimes they get relief and sometimes they get lip service — as they did with George H.W. Bush, of who also was not elected to a second term.

The point is here, that when lip service and lies happen in the Republican Party, most of the time, things happen, as in elections are lost.  In the Democratic Party, it is considered business as usual.

Video: Weiner’s Resignation Statement

It figures, the dude’s resignation speech is a freaking circus.

Weiner to resign

Finally.

Via the NYT:

WASHINGTON — Representative Anthony D. Weiner has told House leaders that he plans to resign his seat after coming under growing pressure from his Democratic colleagues to leave the House, said a top Democratic official and two people told of Mr. Weiner’s plans.

His decision follows revelations of his lewd online exchanges with women.

The top Democratic official said Mr. Weiner called Representative Nancy Pelosi of California and Representative Steve Israel of New York last night while they were at the White House picnic to inform them he had decided to resign on Thursday.

Mr. Weiner plans to resign in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, at 2 p.m. , at the spot where he announced his first campaign for City Council in 1992, according to two people told of his plans.

The news comes as Democratic leaders prepared to hold a meeting on Thursday to discuss whether to strip the 46-year-old congressman of his committee assignments, a blow that would severely damage his effectiveness. Ms. Pelosi had called for an ethics investigation into Mr. Weiner’s actions.

Mr. Weiner began telling his most trusted advisers about his decision on Wednesday night by phone, informing them that it no longer seemed fair to his constituents and his colleagues for him to remain in office.

Mr. Weiner, a Democrat, came to the conclusion that he could no longer serve after having long discussions with his wife,  Huma Abedin, when she returned home on Tuesday after traveling abroad with her boss, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Glad to see that Weiner came to his senses. Maybe now he will quit dicking around and let someone run that post.

Democrats are waking up the realities of Barack Obama

This is proof of that:

MIAMI, Fla. — A low-dollar fundraiser here Monday felt like a throwback to the 2008 campaign.

There was the same old soundtrack – including “City of Blinding Lights” by U2, the president’s 2008 anthem — the enthusiastic organizers and the abundant appeals for supporters to rally behind President Obama.

The one missing element? Overflowing crowds.

Granted, it was a fundraiser, not a free rally. But the empty seats were hard to miss.

The top level of the 2,200-seat concert hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts was entirely empty, as were the seats along the side of the second and third levels.

“The expectation was 900,” a Democratic official said, and more than 980 tickets were sold.

Tickets for the Gen 44 event started at $44, the official said.

“This is going to be a very tough fight,” said Alonzo Mourning, the former Miami Heat player, who spoke ahead of the president. Once Obama took the stage, a protester interrupted him at one point, repeatedly yelling: “Keep your promise, stop AIDS now.” But the protester was quickly drowned out by the audience chanting, “Obama, Obama, Obama.”

Cue the Music!

I could say a whole bunch more; but I have written it all before, in fact, I’ve been writing about it since 2007, when I started this blog.

Too Funny! 😆

The crap is now hitting the fan for Weiner

In more ways than one….

First enter one Tim Kaine:

Video: (H/T HotAir.com)

Then, there is this:

Representative Anthony D. Weiner of New York, reeling from revelations of salacious online behavior that threaten his political career, moved rapidly on Tuesday to make amends as Republicans called for his resignation and leading members of his own Democratic Party distanced themselves from him.

Mr. Weiner spent much of the past 24 hours apologizing over and over to stunned Congressional colleagues and Democratic leaders angry at him for misleading them and the public. Even neighboring House Democrats seemed shaken, with many of them worrying that worse disclosures may still surface.

In a tense telephone call with Mr. Weiner, during which he apologized, Representative Nydia M. Velázquez of Brooklyn scolded him, as she recalled: “How can you explain that somebody can be so smart but so stupid?”

Asked if Mr. Weiner should resign, she replied, “The most important thing in this business is credibility.”

Signs of a redrawn political reality quickly emerged for Mr. Weiner, once considered a top contender to become mayor of New York. His campaign donors said they were especially shocked and furious because a week ago the congressman attributed his online travails to a “vast right-wing conspiracy,” a contributor who spoke with him said.

via Weiner Moves to Make Amends Amid Calls for His Resignation – NYTimes.com.

When you’ve lost your Party and your donors; that is usually a good time to get out of the position you are working in. I believe he will be gone by Friday. I bet there are a great number of Democrats who hope that he is gone by Friday!

To my liberal friends: is this acceptable?

File this one under, “If Rush Limbaugh had said this about Obama.”

This comes via The Daily Caller (with video, be sure and watch it, please!!!)

Sometimes there is a line that is crossed between what appropriate for comedy and what’s likely off limits. But did comic Christopher Titus cross that line?
In an appearance on Monday’s “The Adam Carolla Show” podcast, Titus may have waded into that territory. In responding to a question about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” in which Palin defended her interpretation of what happened during Paul Revere’s pre-Revolutionary War famous ride, Titus launched into a description of what he would do if Palin were elected.
“You know what man?” Titus said. “I am going to literally — if she gets elected president, I am going to hang out on the grassy knoll all the time, just loaded and ready — because you know what? It’s for my country. It’s for my country. If I got to sacrifice myself, it’s for my country.”

To my liberal Democratic Party friends: Is jokes about assinating a conservative female acceptable? Is joking about assinating ANY sort of political figure, even remotely funny?

If not, then why are not more liberals speaking out about it?

In the name of decency; we need to stop this; before something awful happens again.

Stupid: Gardian says Thatcher will not meet with Palin “Because she’s nuts”

What a load of bunk!

Via the liberal rag, The Guardian

Sarah Palin wants to show to the Republican right that she is the true keeper of the Ronald Reagan flame by meeting the late president’s closest ally on the world stage.

A meeting with Margaret Thatcher in the centenary year of Reagan’s birth would be the perfect way of launching her bid for the Republican nomination for the 2012 US presidential election.

This is what Palin told Christina Lamb in the Sunday Times:

I am going to Sudan in July and hope to stop in England on the way. I am just hoping Mrs Thatcher is well enough to see me as I so admire her.

It appears that the former prime minister has no intention of meeting the darling of the Tea Party movement. Andy McSmith reported in the Independent this morning that Palin is likely to be “thwarted” on the grounds that Thatcher, 86, rarely makes public appearances.

It would appear that the reasons go deeper than Thatcher’s frail health. Her allies believe that Palin is a frivolous figure who is unworthy of an audience with the Iron Lady. This is what one ally tells me:

Lady Thatcher will not be seeing Sarah Palin. That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts.

I do not believe for one second, that Margaret Thatcher referred to Sarah Palin as “Nuts”, ever. I believe this little article to be a classic textbook example of british liberal snobbery.

I do not believe it is any sort of conspiracy; just your a-typical British elitism; for which the British are known. Also too, I believe that these writers might just be injecting their own political bias into the story as well.

Just my opinion… 🙂

Here is my politically incorrect statement of the day: maybe we should have allowed Hitler to destroy those people. After all they did try and force us back under the crown; at one time.

We did all that work and spent all that money to rebuild that Nation and this is the thanks we get? This should be proof that Nation-Building is damed pointless, because those you do it for, do not respect you nor appreciate what you do for them.

WeinerGate Continues: TMZ reports that Weiner asked porn star to lie

Oh boy…:

From TMZ.com

Congressman Anthony Weiner instructed one of his Internet women how to lie about their relationship … and even offered PR help from his team, which could create major legal issues for him … TMZ has learned. Weiner and former porn star Ginger Lee exchanged scores of sexual emails over a long period of time.  When the underwear scandal broke on May 28, Lee began receiving calls from the media, and Weiner was more than happy to help her control the situation … by lying. On June 2, Weiner emailed Lee, “Do you need to talk to a professional PR type person to give u advice?  I can have someone on my team call. [Yeah, my team is doing great. Ugh].” It’s unclear if Weiner’s PR team is from his Congressional staff.  If so, Weiner could run afoul of House Ethics Rules as well as the law.

Looks like Weiner might be gone by the end of the week. This stuff is building and sooner or later, he is going to have to go. Much to her credit Nancy Pelosi is ordering an investigation into whether Weiner broke any ethics laws or not. Time will tell or not whether he faces any charges or not.

Either way, this is a huge blow to the Deomcrats on the hill and in New York.

Lame: NY Congressman Anthony Weiner calls cops on local CBS reporter trying to get answers on scandal

Finally, I get around to writing about this. I know what I wrote yesterday about this whole mess. But this here is enough to make even me wonder.

WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork) — Congressman Anthony Weiner said Thursday he’s finished talking about the lewd photo sent from his Twitter account.

But he still wouldn’t say whether he’s the one in the picture.

So CBS 2 political reporter Marcia Kramer decided to go to his office on Capitol Hill to try to get you some answers.

You’ll never believe what happened.

Kramer tried to get an interview with the six-term New York Democrat and as a result had the cops called on her.

via NY Congressman Anthony Weiner Says He’s Done Talking About Twitter Photo, Time To Get Back To Work « CBS New York.

If Anthony Weiner thinks that calling the cops on reporters is going to help his image as a victim of a hacking; he is very highly mistaken. Even now, the left is turning on this guy and even the apologist left wing media is turning on him as well. I expect before too long, this dude is going to be resigning and leaving office with what little integrity he has left.

The memeorandum thread is here, enjoy! 😀

John Edwards Indicted

Not a big surprise at all.  Although you would think it was, the way my iPod has been blowing up for the last hour!

A federal grand jury in Raleigh, N.C., today handed down a six-count indictment against former Sen. John Edwards for allegedly using more than $900,000 in campaign funds to hide his mistress during the 2008 presidential campaign.

The charges, following a two-year investigation, include conspiracy, illegal campaign contributions and making false statements. Edwards is expected to be arraigned on the charges this afternoon. Read the full indictment.

“The Edwards probe is at its core a dispute over whether funds are contributions, independent expenditures or a gift. This kind of dispute almost never generates a criminal referral much less an indictment,” former federal prosecutor and four-term Alabama congressman Artur Davis told ABC News.

An Edwards spokeswoman told the Associated Press that she wasn’t aware of the filing and declined immediate comment.

Something tells me that ol’ “Silky Pony” is going to be doing the “Silky Pony” in a jail cell somewhere, with a big black man pretty soon.  Although, I will say this; He will most likely serve his term in a “Country Club” type of Prison, like Martha Stewart served her time in. Whatever he is actually convicted on, will be appealed down to something light. You watch, rich people like Edwards never do jail time, ever. I do not have a thing against wealthy people at all; except when they use it to avoid justice.

You watch and see if I am not right.

I cannot say that he does not deserve what he is getting. What this creep did to his wife, was inexcusable.  Personally, I’d like to see the fucking liberal asshole face a firing squad myself. But that, is just me.

Why I am not blogging about Anthony Weiner

Why I am not blogging about Anthony Weiner

If you have come looking for any and all postings related to this idiotic so-called scandal by Anthony Weiner.  Let me stop you here, there are none on here anymore —well, except for this posting here.  Why you ask?

Because I pulled the posting —- really, it was nothing anyhow, just a casual mention of it.  I also mentioned it one of my “Daily Rant!” videos.  I stated on there, that I thought he was guilty as sin.  I officially retract that statement.

Why the change all of a sudden towards this story?

Simple.

I do not wish to be one of the hoards of people in on the persecution of this man.

Folks, I have mentioned here in the past, it has been a while; but I do need to mention it again.  I am not, nor have I ever been a hyper-partisan or a partisan blogger at all —- period, end of story.  Corruption exists on both sides of the aisle.  There are corrupt Republicans and there are corrupt Democrats.  I do not buy into that whole idea that somehow or another that Democrats are more corrupt than Republicans are.  That is partisan nonsense and I simply do not play that game, at all.

It is obvious to the writer of this article; that this persecution of this man is of a partisan base.  Anything that Andrew Breitbart is involved in is purely of a partisan nature.  I will never give Breitbart, that vulgar piece of human excrement, any more attention or bandwidth than this man really honestly deserves.

The second reason why I am not allowing myself to become involved in such idiocy is the following:

I am a former “Left of center” person and blogger, who now finds himself in a happy place between the camps of Classic LiberalPaleo-Conservativelibertarian.  Because I have an opinion on the Zionist Movement, and on Neo-Conservatism and its foreign policy idiocy, I have been branded by some as an Anti-Semite and by liberals as being a racist bigot and by some as a white nationalist.

Because of this, I have decided that this “scandal” is not worth my time or trouble.  The way I feel about it, is this; If Anthony Weiner is even remotely as guilty as some are making him out to be, this whole thing will, as they put it, “Come out in the wash.”  What I do not support is the pathetic continual hounding of the man.  It is ridiculous!

Right now, our Nation is facing some serious issues.  Unemployment is at an ultimate high; our Nation’s debt is also at an ultimate high.  We have a President and a federal reserve bank that is literally ruining our money supply by pumping more currency into the money supply, thereby creating hyperinflation.  We also have a President that is more interested in importing oil from Brazil than he is drilling here and now; which sending gas prices over four dollars a gallon.  We are in the midst of all this and the best thing my fellow Conservative bloggers can do is fret and worry whether some idiot Democrat in congress tweeted a picture of his penis in a pair of men’s briefs?  Are you people damned Serious?!

Do you mental giants realize that this whole thing could blow up in our faces and that Conservatives, Republican Party, Tea Party (Pick a damn name!) could be perceived by those who are just mildly paying attention as Anti-Semites who are on the hunt for a Jewish politico to mess up, so that we can go after them?  Do you really what to know what the fallout from this all blowing up in your faces could be?  How about four more years of Barack Obama, you damned ninnies! —  Forget Sarah Palin, Forget even being taken seriously again; forget the damned Tea Party —- none of it will even matter, if this blows up and you all are proven to be wrong.

Because I will issue a hallow warning to the Republican Party and to every damned blogger who dared to cover this silly story.  If you think that, the Democrats will not use this little situation against the Republican Party in the 2012 election cycle, think again.  The Democrats will, they have no honor and in election cycles, perception is 90% of the rule and the socialist liberals will use their unlimited resources to drill this moron story in the sub-conscience of the Country; believe me when I tell you this.

If you want to return to the Bush-era of being perceived as downright evil, fine, do so.  However, do so at your own peril and possibly not being able to take the White House until 2016 —- or later.

Living proof that Adam Kokesh/Ron Paul Supporters are unhinged leftists in disguise

As you all know, I have been writing and talking about Adam Kokesh, the moron who got arrested at the Jefferson Memorial for basically being a tool. I have also documented and written about the fact that the man is a anti-war, Ron Paul supporting loon, who was dishonorably discharged from the Military for his loony activities.

Well, it appears that I have hit a nerve with the anti-war, Ron Paul supporting loon crowd.

These are ALL of the comments that I have received over the last few days. Some are just stupid nonsense written by loons who are, for the most part, out of touch with reality. Some, on the other hand are just straight up vile. So, consider this your official content warning.

Just a word of note, I am presenting this, IP addresses and all. If you happen to spot your IP address in these; don’t e-mail me asking me to remove it. Because I will not. The way I see it, if you are big enough to come to my blog and leave stupid comments like these, then you should be big enough to deal with your IP being broadcast.

With that, let’s start shall we?

Read the first amendment. It’s as simple as that. How do you define dancing? What if I walked in there and stretched and yawned? What if I stretched my arms up and took two steps to the side? What if I stretched my arms up, took two steps to the side and then did a 180 degree turn followed by a crouch and a head turn to the left, then right, and then a hip pop and a swivel of the hip? At what point did I start DANCING? I was just moving. I’ve seen dancers who use their legs in such a fashion as to walk across a street or through a door. Are they dancing? What if they’re walking with style? These are all things that our government is supposed to PROTECT, and not punish.

Yeah, I agree! Rights are only for people that I like! I don’t think people I don’t like should have any rights at all. And there’s no way anything could ever go wrong if everyone has that take on things.

You know that old saying, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. ” Well, you know who said that? A Frenchman! And I don’t like French people, so clearly that saying is stupid and it isn’t a principle we should have.

You know a group that has little sympathy with the public? People with neckbeards. So the author shouldn’t be too surprised if no one cares if he is ever beaten and thrown in prison for peaceful behavior.

It doesn’t MATTER if they did it with the INTENT of getting arrested.  They are merely dancing in a public place. Are you freaking insane?! If you think that anyone should be arrested in a public place for dancing, whether you like them or not, or whether you “know” what they’re up to, then you don’t understand the concept of freedom.  You don’t understand the reason for the bill of rights, or the basis for having a WRITTEN CONSTITUTION.  Do you not understand the idea between the concept “better 10 guilty men go free than 1 innocent man suffer injustice?”

Either you believe in these rights, or you do not, PICK ONE.

They need no permit to “protest.”  A man needs no permit to kiss his girlfriend, to dance to himself, to perform any other self-expression which is not inherently harmful.  This was not even inherently disruptive.  I don’t care who this CITIZEN is, he’s entitled to self-expression — and one of the GUARANTEES of our Constitution is that the GOVERNMENT will not take that from him.

His intent is irrelevant.  WHO he may be is also irrelevant.  At this point he is a citizen and the government arrested him (and others) without valid cause.

I served, and I opposed our continuing occupation of Iraq.  The only “asshat” is you, there is no pipe, and I don’t smoke (or resort to inane expressions such as those.)  What you don’t grasp is that the Bill of Rights isn’t just for those that you agree with, that you like, or limited by any other criteria.  It’s a guarantee, a limitation that We The People placed upon our government in the very beginning, to avoid EXACTLY this sort of thing.

Take a hike, Patrick.  What you’re endorsing is not Liberty, nor is it Constitutional.  What you’re endorsing is not ever welcome in this nation.

Yeah seriously. The Jefferson Memorial  is a memorial to the man who wrote the Declaration of Independence, one of the greatest tributes to human liberty ever.

We must protect decorum in such a sanctified place. It is not dignified for people to be dancing, or in other ways acting like liberated people. The best way to pay tribute to Jefferson is for tourists bringing their children there to see police body slamming people. That teaches our children the right lesson on liberty. You are free to behave in the way that certain people like, and if you transgress, you will be violently punished.

Liberty!

Video: Guest Voice: Jack Hunter Says “The Patriot Act Is Not Conservative”

Please note: While I have always respected our Military and always will; and I do believe in the Reagan mantra of “Peace through Strength.” I have always and will always questioned the legality the so-called Patriot Act. -Pat

Video:

Transcript Via The American Conservative:

If Americans needed another reminder of why the Democratic Party is absolutely worthless, they got it during last week’s Patriot Act extension debate when Senate Majority leader Harry Reid again behaved exactly like the Bush-era Republicans he once vigorously opposed. In 2005, Reid bragged to fellow Democrats, “We killed the Patriot Act.” Today, Reid says that anyone who opposes the Patriot Act might be responsible for the killing of Americans. Dick Cheney now hears an echo and Americans deserve congressional hearings—as to whether Harry Reid is a sociopath, mere liar, or both.

But while Democrats stand pat for Bush Republicanism, the GOP now debates the extent to which it will remain the party of Dubya. Tea Party favorites like Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee and Congressmen Ron Paul, Justin Amash, Allen West and others, all voted against the Patriot Act. To varying degrees, each of these GOP representatives questioned the act’s effectiveness and legality. But unfortunately, most Republicans still won’t ask any questions.

The “War on Terror” that defined and preoccupied Republicans during the Bush era brought with it not only massive government growth and debt, but an unprecedented expansion of extra-constitutional state power, symbolized most famously by the Patriot Act. In the name of national security, government officials could begin wiretapping phones, hacking into email accounts, prying into business records and spying on citizens—all without a warrant and at government officials’ own discretion. Defenders say the Patriot Act did what needed to be done after 9/11. Critics say it did away with the 4th amendment.

Let us say both have a point, and that for arguments sake, both Harry Reid and Dick Cheney are correct in arguing that it is sometimes necessary to surrender our liberties for increased security. Is this still true a decade after 9/11? Will it be true two decades after 9/11? How about three? Have the actions of Osama Bin Laden and his fellow terrorists forever altered our Bill of Rights?

Allegedly, the default position for conservatives is to distrust the government and defer to the Constitution. Concerning the Patriot Act, too many conservatives blindly trust the government at the expense of the Constitution. This type of thinking mirrors the logic of the Left, in which the constitutionality of a big government program like Obamacare is considered irrelevant due to the severity of the problem at hand. The liberal healthcare ends justify the unconstitutional means. This characteristic mentality of the Left is exactly how most of the Right approaches the Patriot Act—though it is an outright rejection of what most conservatives of any generation have held most dear.

Think about it. Conservatives get upset about many things on a regular basis—ACORN corruption, NPR funding, demanding that French fries be renamed “Freedom Fries.” At any given time there is always some new and outrageous rightwing distaste of the week.

But most of these controversies are a speck on a gnat’s ass compared to the damage done to the Constitution by the Patriot Act. For genuine constitutional conservatives, something like NPR funding is undoubtedly wrong but ultimately trivial and peripheral—while the protection of the Bill of Rights is crucial and integral. If George Washington or Thomas Jefferson were alive today, are we to believe that they would be more outraged that: A. The federal government helps fund public radio. B. The federal government snoops on citizens without restraint. Those who answered A. truly don’t understand the mindset of the men who founded this country.

A Republican critic of mine once asked me during a radio broadcast “Jack, can you show me where any American has been harmed due to the Patriot Act?” I replied, “Can you show me where any American has been harmed by Wikileaks?” The caller said he couldn’t, but stated that he believed private individuals shouldn’t haven’t access to private government documents. The gentleman was basically saying that whether or not Wikileaks has hurt anyone to date is irrelevant—the whistleblower outfit shouldn’t be trusted with such power to begin with. I argue the same is true of the federal government. So did the Founding Fathers. That’s why they wrote the 4th amendment.

The entire reason we have a written charter like the Constitution is to specify the enumerated powers that define the hard parameters of our federal government. Among those powers is national defense and security. But much of what we call “defense” is anything but. Similarly, a total police state could undoubtedly provide much better security, though few Americans would desire a country so void of liberty. After all, most Americans can barely tolerate the way the federal government handles air travel these days.

When Ronald Reagan said there was nothing closer to eternal life on this earth than a government program he could have easily been describing the Patriot Act. When Barry Goldwater said that “extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice” he could have easily been describing the minority of Republicans who now at least question the Patriot Act. When James Madison wrote, “Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other,” he could have easily been describing our current state of perpetual war that now gives seemingly permanent life to the Patriot Act.

If the “War on Terror” is a perpetual war—as so many politicians readily contend—have we now permanently given up our liberties? If terrorists really do “hate us for our freedoms” is the best method of defeating them to permanently surrender our historic freedoms? And if so, who is really winning the War on Terror? Us or the terrorists?

By the very nature of their philosophy, conservatives are supposed to question their government. And given the very nature of our Constitution, this is precisely how the Founders would expect any true patriot to act.
