This is not good for libertarians

I’m with Dan Foster, this just does not look good, no matter how you slice it:

Via WPSD-TV in Tennessee:

The Story:

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. – Imagine your home catches fire but the local fire department won’t respond, then watches it burn. That’s exactly what happened to a local family tonight.

A local neighborhood is furious after firefighters watched as an Obion County, Tennessee, home burned to the ground.

The homeowner, Gene Cranick, said he offered to pay whatever it would take for firefighters to put out the flames, but was told it was too late.  They wouldn’t do anything to stop his house from burning.

Each year, Obion County residents must pay $75 if they want fire protection from the city of South Fulton.  But the Cranicks did not pay.

The mayor said if homeowners don’t pay, they’re out of luck.

This fire went on for hours because garden hoses just wouldn’t put it out. It wasn’t until that fire spread to a neighbor’s property, that anyone would respond.

Turns out, the neighbor had paid the fee.

“I thought they’d come out and put it out, even if you hadn’t paid your $75, but I was wrong,” said Gene Cranick.

Dan Foster writes:

That bolded paragraph is what really gets to me. I have no problem with this kind of opt-in government in principle — especially in rural areas where individual need for government services and available infrastructure vary so widely. But forget the politics: what moral theory allows these firefighters (admittedly acting under orders) to watch this house burn to the ground when 1) they have already responded to the scene; 2) they have the means to stop it ready at hand; 3) they have a reasonable expectation to be compensated for their trouble?

The counterargument is, of course, that this kind of system only works if there are consequences for opting out. For the firefighters to have put out the blaze would have opened up a big moral hazard and generated a bunch of future free-riding — a lot like how the ban on denying coverage based on preexisting conditions, paired with penalties under the individual mandate that are lower than the going premiums, would lead to folks waiting until they got sick to buy insurance.

But that analogy is not quite apt. Mr. Cranick, who has learned an incredibly expensive lesson about risk, wasn’t offering to pay the $75 fee. He was offering to pay whatever it cost to put out the fire. If an uninsured man confronted with the pressing need for a heart transplant offered to pay a year in back-premiums to an insurer to cover the operation, you’d be right to laugh at him. But imagine if that man broke out his check book to pay for the whole shebang, and hospital administrators denied him the procedure to teach him a lesson.

I’m a conservative with fairly libertarian leanings, but this is a kind of government for which I would not sign up.

I have agree with all of the above.  Conservatives believe in LIMITED Government, not no Government at all. This whole idea of “pay for protection” nonsense strikes me as some sort of mafia scheme.  Not only that, there is the moral argument of allowing a man’s house burn to the ground. This is why I am not a 100% libertarian, because libertarians; especially libertarian leftists — put principle before morality — and that my friends is wrong.   If were living in the town of Obion County, Tennessee; I would be demanding that the town abolish the stupid “pay to spray” rule and put in a more sensible way of paying for the city’s fire service, like maybe out of the city’s general fund; which is most likely being used to pay this idiotic mayor.

Again, no matter how you slice this one; it just looks horrible for the libertarian purists.

All is not well in Sharron Angle Land

Audio:

The Story via The Los Vegas Sun:

That’s just some of what GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle said during a meeting Wednesday evening with Tea Party of Nevada candidate Scott Ashjian and Tea Party of Nevada Chairman Sid James at the home of Richard Ziser, who lost to Harry Reid in 1994 and now is an adviser to the Angle campaign and also participated in the conversation.

A tape of the 38-minute meeting that I have obtained provides a rare window into the kinds of discussions that take place during campaigns behind closed doors, redolent of the authenticity that disappears in public or in TV ads.

The conversation reveals Angle almost desperate to show Ashjian they are like-minded, that they both disdain the major parties, but insistent that the Tea Party of Nevada contender could help Reid win if he doesn’t embrace her candidacy. Ashjian emphasizes he believes a third party is the only way and that he believes he can garner a fifth of the vote, which seems fantastically optimistic, to put it mildly.

Some of the highlights:

Angle expresses disdain for the national GOP, which she says she now has “in a box” because she won the primary, which caused the DC types after her June 8 victory to still be “moaning and groaning and weeping and gnashing teeth over Sue Lowden.” Later, she tries to persuade Ashjian to endorse her because she will have “juice” he can tap into to get access to Sens. Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn and Mitch McConnell.

I can just hear it now: The woman who calls the majority leader “Let’s Make a Deal Harry Reid” becomes “Let’s Make a Deal Sharron Angle”

At the meeting’s outset, Ashjian seems open to a deal, suggesting if he can get an apology from the Tea Party Express, “we can get on board.” He claims he does not want money, wants the lawsuits about his candidacy to go away – remember those voicemails from GOP lawyer Cleta Mitchell posted elsewhere on my blog suggest she was trying to “settle” something with him. By the end of the meeting, it’s clear this attempted backroom bargain is going nowhere – and I’m not sure Ashjian ever wanted it to.

There’s a lot more, too, including:

—-Angle’s open disgust with her own party’s leaders and principles (or lack thereof)

—-James’ obvious abandonment of Ashjian’s candidacy and insistence that Angle will lose unless he withdraws and that there is still time to get his name off the ballot

—-Some brief trashing of Sen. John Ensign by Ziser and Ashjian

—-Ashjian’s claims of physical threats and of being followed

—-Angle’s agreement with him that both major parties are “corrupt”

—-Angle’s claim to have taken over the Washoe County Republican Party and having her “guys” in the Clark County GOP

—-Her promise to deliver to Ashjian “anything I can personally,” including an apology from the Tea Party Express after the election.

It is a unique and quite entertaining fly-on-the-wall look inside a campaign.

I have posted an audio file of the meeting at right and below are some snippets of the conversation. As you will hear if you listen to the audio, some of what Angle says is muffled, but I have listened to the tape four times and extracted as much as I could. (Ashjian is slated to be on “Face to Face” on Monday to discuss the taping and the conversation.)

Considering this tape is now out, you have to ask the question: What in the world was Angle thinking taking this meeting? That, by the way, is the question Cleta Mitchell asked herself after she heard about her candidate taking it.)

———————-

Angle: “The Republicans have lost their standards, they’ve lost their principles…..Really that’s why the machine in the Republican Party is fighting against me…..They have never really gone along with lower taxes and less government.”

Angle: “…what has happened to me in this whole definition of me by Harry Reid….It’s hard…and it’s especially hard when you know it’s not true.”

Angle: “The one thing you said about the machinery that has endorsed me, they have no choice… …it’s me or Reid…that’s what they got…. also this is such a national race…so really we have them in a box…they are coming to us and saying, ‘We know we got to support you.’ ….In some ways, it’s exactly where we wanted that good old boy thing is in the box…(She then begins using an analogy about David and Goliath, and David shedding his armor.) ‘You gotta get my armor off and let me pick up this slingshot’…..that’s where I am right now, get them to leave me alone for long enough so I can…. go after this guy…. you (Ashjian) have tapped into it, the essence of America….and the essence of America is we are tired of politics as usual… only thing that’s different between you and I is I guess I was pragmatic enough to know…that third parties can’t get traction….so I said all right, I’ll work with it. just show me what the rules are and I’ll work with it…the rules are there are Democrats and Republicans…so I moved myself up within the Republican ranks….they have no choice, I’m the only game in town…. There was no one more shocked than they were when I won that primary, when I went back to Washington DC, they were still moaning and groaning and weeping and gnashing teeth over Sue Lowden…And I said I am what ya got, this is it.”

Angle: “I believe you (Ashjian) can do some real harm, not to Harry Reid but to me…I’m not sure you can win and I’m not sure I can win if you’re hurting my chance and that’s the part that scares me.”

Ashjian: “You have to understand, it’s not personal.”

Angle: “Everyone say it’s not personal but then Harry Reid wins.”

Angle: “(The Republicans in DC) don’t want me back there…because they know I’ll shake this mess up….…..I shook it up in Carson City, they hated me there…41-Angle was not a compliment……..When I go back, there may be five or six of us….maybe Joe Miller (Alaska), Ken Buck (Colorado), Christine O’Donnell (Delaware).

Ashjian: “She (O’Donnell) doesn’t have a chance.”

Angle: “Well I think she’s real.” She then skeptically mentions the Florida GOP Senate nominee as one of the group: “Marco Rubio, but that’s a stretch for me.”

Angle: Says the grass roots movement “gives me juice. That’s really all I can offer to you (Ashjian) is whatever juice I have, you have as well…You want to see DeMint, I have juice with him….I go to Washington, DC and want to see Jim DeMint, he’s right there for me. I want to see Tom Coburn, he’s right there for me. I want to see Mitch McConnell, he’s there.”

Angle: “I need your help to defeat Harry Reid. I can’t do this….”

Ouch.

Quote of The Day

How deeply Jewish is Hollywood? When the studio chiefs took out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times a few weeks ago to demand that the Screen Actors Guild settle its contract, the open letter was signed by: News Corp. President Peter Chernin (Jewish), Paramount Pictures Chairman Brad Grey (Jewish), Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Robert Iger (Jewish), Sony Pictures Chairman Michael Lynton (surprise, Dutch Jew), Warner Bros. Chairman Barry Meyer (Jewish), CBS Corp. Chief Executive Leslie Moonves (so Jewish his great uncle was the first prime minister of Israel), MGM Chairman Harry Sloan (Jewish) and NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker (mega-Jewish). If either of the Weinstein brothers had signed, this group would have not only the power to shut down all film production but to form a minyan with enough Fiji water on hand to fill a mikvah.

The person they were yelling at in that ad was SAG President Alan Rosenberg (take a guess). The scathing rebuttal to the ad was written by entertainment super-agent Ari Emanuel (Jew with Israeli parents) on the Huffington Post, which is owned by Arianna Huffington (not Jewish and has never worked in Hollywood.)

The Jews are so dominant, I had to scour the trades to come up with six Gentiles in high positions at entertainment companies. When I called them to talk about their incredible advancement, five of them refused to talk to me, apparently out of fear of insulting Jews. The sixth, AMC President Charlie Collier, turned out to be Jewish.

As a proud Jew, I want America to know about our accomplishment. Yes, we control Hollywood. Without us, you’d be flipping between “The 700 Club” and “Davey and Goliath” on TV all day.

So I’ve taken it upon myself to re-convince America that Jews run Hollywood by launching a public relations campaign, because that’s what we do best. I’m weighing several slogans, including: “Hollywood: More Jewish than ever!”; “Hollywood: From the people who brought you the Bible”; and “Hollywood: If you enjoy TV and movies, then you probably like Jews after all.”

***************

Whatever one might think of Jewish influence in the media, the fact that Joel Stein is allowed to gloat about the fact — and Rick Sanchez hounded for alluding to it — amounts to one of America’s biggest double standards in a crowded field.

This scandal has also reminded me of Stephen Steinlight’s arguments that, pace the ADL & Co., immigration restriction is quite Good For The Jews and that the Jewish leadership should drop its Ellis Island nostalgia. For years, Steinlight has been saying that new immigrants, particularly those from the Hispanic Third World, lack the sentimental visions of Jews as powerless and pitiable held by most American gentiles, and would be far less accepting of Jews in positions of power.

Rick Sanchez’s European physiognomy make him unrepresentative of Latinos in America — but then quite representative of public representatives of Latinos in America — and his comments might be a harbinger of a coming ethnic clash. It seems that the Rick Sanchezes of the world don’t like it when the Jon Stewarts of the world are depicted as oppressed minorities deserving of special status. This might get interesting.

Gold and Stock Advice: Gold Stocks, SP500 & the Dollar – What’s Next?

Some good stuff to read here:

Investors around the globe are concerned with the economic outlook, not only with the United States but with virtually every country. This has caused not only investors but banks and countries to start buying gold & silver in order to be protected incase of a currency melt down in the coming years.

While the majority is concerned about the eroding economy, we have seen the opposite in the financial market. Gold and equities have risen… That being said the volume in the market remains light simply because the average investor is no longer putting money into the market for long term growth. Instead individuals are now focusing on saving and paying down debt.

That being said we all know light volume market conditions allow Wall Street powerhouses to bid the market up. Not to mention with quantitative easing taking place I’m sure that has also helped the market of late. While we don’t know for sure that QE is taking place as we speak, the sharp drop in the dollar and strong move up in gold are pricing this into the market.

Video: Black Leftist Attacks White Reporter Covering One Nation Rally

….and, of course, nothing happens to her.

Here’s the video: (Via Human Events)

The Story Via Human Events:

A liberal protester at the “One Nation Working Together” march physically assaulted a HUMAN EVENTS reporter who was videotaping Rep. Charlie Rangel (D.-N.Y) at the event at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The reporter, Emily Miller, was first hit from behind while she was taping Rangel as the Harlem congressman glad-handed supporters in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Miss Miller is heard on the video saying, “Please don’t hit me.” The protester proceeds to yell at the reporter, “Well get out of the way! What do you think this is? Asshole.” The activist was attempting to meet Rangel herself. Miss Miller continued videotaping the event, when suddenly the same unhinged protester lunged at her, hit her on the arm, and yelled, “Don’t take my picture.”

As the footage shows, the protestor then slapped Miss Miller, hitting the flip cam and saying, “Do not take my picture. Do not take my fucking picture and I mean it.”

The scene continued, as the deranged woman assaulted Miss Miller yet again, before having to be restrained by members of the Park Police.

Here’s the story by the lady who was hit:

To answer your questions….

The Park Police called Capitol Police to handle the situation. I asked the Capitol Police to get me somewhere safe, which they did. They took my report of what happened.

They interviewed the many witnesses at the scene around the protester. All the witnesses said nothing happened, and that the woman did not hit me. I showed the officers one of the videos on the flip cam. The officer said that hitting the camera is not against the law.

My hands were shaking so much, I couldn’t rewind to show the earlier video.

The police asked me repeatedly if I had someone with me who could vouch for my story. I said, no, I’m alone here reporting on this march. Since it was my word against all the witnesses, I asked them to just get me safely out of the rally.

The officer said he would investigate to determine if an arrest was warranted. As far as I know, nothing further happened.

I was mostly shocked that all of those the witnesses lied to the police. So much for not bearing false witness…

And, I’ll add, no one stopped the woman from repeatedly hitting me. So much for decency… – Emily Miller, Washington, D.C

Folks, we need to just be real about this one; this woman was not arrested, because she was black. If this would have been a White Woman and the camera woman black and this would have been a Tea Party rally —- the liberal media would have been a perpetual meltdown mode, the person would have been made an example of and this persons name would have been in all of the papers. But because it was some black protester at a union rally; not a word is said about it.

You know, I am just going to say it. Sometimes, I really think Governor George Wallace —- was absolutely correct.

I hate to the one to say it; but I think we, as Americans, as White Americans — need to STOP apologizing to these bastards and take our Country back from the interlopers who have taken it over.

Here’s what I mean: (This video pertains to South Africa, but it could very well apply to America too)

It is time we got real; and quit this “Go along to get along” crap that the GOP is doing now. Because it is only hurting us.

The forgotten faces of the Afghanistan War

Call me an old softie; call me whatever you wanna call me. But this little Gallery here, breaks me up a bit.

Whether we want to admit it or not; but these children are in the crossfire of a very adult war. They are the victims of a deranged group of people; who attacked us on 9/11.

They are the one’s that my heart breaks for, in this thing we call war.

Possibly one the best political articles that I have read in years.

If you read nothing else today…. read this:

I owe you, Dad. No, not for taking care of me as a child, I am paying that debt back by taking care of my own two daughters. My debt is much deeper than that.

You see, my generation has made a mess of things. Your generation, steeled by the ice of the Great Depression and the fire of World War II, established the most powerful economy in the world. Life was easier for my generation, perhaps too easy as we didn’t fully appreciate the principles and hard work that led to our prosperity. You and Mom understood that personal responsibility, productive work, and a keen attention to reality are necessary to put food on the table. Much of my generation did not. —-  via American Thinker: Dad, I Owe You One.

As a matter of fact; I am sending this one to my Mom.

Video: More Scenes from the One Nation Rally

This comes via Reason.TV:

This first one is tame and a little funny to watch:

My favorite line is from…. Al Sharpton.

Nick G from Reason: How do you keep off the weight?

Sharpton: The Recession

Now that is funny! 😆

The second one is a little more harsh on the language, so your obligatory prissy britches, Polly pure-bright warning here:

Video: Bill Maher calls Republicans “A Deadly Enemy”

This comes via NewsBusters:

Video:

Transcript:

BILL MAHER: And finally, new rule: someone has to explain to me how it is that the Democrats can’t talk about their accomplishments while the Republicans actually campaign on their fuck-ups. Last week President Obama had the frankest town hall meeting I’ve ever seen, and a woman named Velma Hart took the mike and told the president, “I’m exhausted defending you.” Well, if you’re like Velma and you’re tired of making excuses for Obama, just imagine how tired he is of making excuses for you.

[Applause]

I know. Unemployment is high but you’re the one who’s not working, not him. He has a job. And part of it is stopping John Boehner from throwing you off unemployment.

[Applause]

Now, I’m — I am not here to carry water for this or any administration, but the facts of the coming election are Democrats have real accomplishments to run on. Like preventing a depression and forcing insurance companies to cover preexisting conditions. Like stopping the banks from being the useless middle-man on student loans, and lowering taxes for non-rich people. Obama has passed a credit card bill of rights, he restarted stem cell research, and got our ass out of Iraq, and signed a nuclear treaty with Russia – not to mention the intangible of having a president who can pronounce “nuclear.”

[Laughter]

Why can’t the Democrats get props for what they’ve achieved? Oh, I know, I know. Obama is black. He’s used to being denied credit.

[Laughter]

And there’s nothing wrong with being hard on him. He is the president. It’s our job to keep him honest. But when it comes to voting, when we only have two choices, you got to grow up and realize there’s a big difference between a disappointing friend and a deadly enemy.

[Applause]

Of course, the Democrats are disappointing. That’s what makes them Democrats. If they were any more frustrating they’d be your relatives. But in this country, they are all that stands between you and darkest night. You know why their symbol is the letter D? Because it’s a grade that means good enough but just barely. You know why the Republican symbol is R? Because it’s the noise a pirate makes when he robs you and feeds you to a shark.

He’s a really funny fellow. He’d be good for something…. What it is, I really do not know; shoe-shine boy at the bar mitzvah convention or something? 😯

I know, I know, some of you all might object to what I just wrote up there. But you know what? I say, FUCK IT! They want to insult us? I will insult them and unlike some of the pansy ass Conservatives, who won’t go there, due to fear of the PC police. I just do not give a flying fuck. The Liberals hate this damned Country and they just do not care about whom or what they hurt; so, I believe it is time to fight fire…..with fire.

Also, I have to wonder what the people cleaning the National Mall after the jack-boot fest would have to say about this?

Remember this come November 2 and vote accordingly. Because this stuff has gone on long enough; it is time to take back the wheel and put in people who are really Conservatives; and not Neo-Cons, who are of Maher’s stripe and nose size; and take back the Country.

Count down to being called an Antisemitic so and so in 5….4….3….2… Like I really honestly give a flying fuck. 😛

How the left really feels about our Military

Here is another video from the leftist shindig up on the National Mall in Washington D.C.

This is a video of the World War II memorial in Washington D.C. after the leftist jackboots got done with it.

This makes me sick to my god-damned stomach. 😡

The Video: (H/T to HotAirPundit and it comes with a special thanks to Michelle Malkin)

Dear God…………………………… What is happening to my Country? 🙁 😥

Mrs. Malkin, I do not know if you will actually ever read this; but if you do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for linking to that Video, and thanks to HotAirPundit for posting. This is an outrage. Something has to be done, these people do not love America; they hate it.

Update: Some of you might be wondering why this one bothers me so badly; Because it is personal, extremely personal. My Grandfather’s two brothers, both from Georgia, served in the United States Military during World War II. Both served in Germany, both made it back alive, both lost friends in the War. My Dad’s Father’s brother also served in the Military during War II. They were a part of the greatest generation ever; and these bastard communists treat that memorial like it is some park!?!?!? That is an outrage! Many people gave their lives for this Country, so that those idiot communists could have the right to march and believe in their idiotic dream of a socialist utopia and they treat their memorial like it is a place to leave their garbage.  There are no words to describe what I am feeling right now —- rage, anger, hatred, resentment, sadness, fear of what the Country is becoming —- all of that in one big ball of fury.

My friends, I apologize if my writing at the moment sounds damned disjointed. But god-damn it, I am angry. We must vote for a new slate come November 2, 2010. This is gone on long enough. There is just some lines that you do not cross; and the Democrats, the socialists, the left; what the hell ever you want to call them —- they crossed it yesterday. We must, must, must, let them know that the silent majority of us will not sit idly by and allow these jack-booted thugs destroy our nation any longer. It has to stop, before it is too late.

Again, sorry for rambling. But this one really bothered me.

Video: One Nation March in Washington D.C.

This has been making the rounds on Twitter and here it is:

Music: The Red Army Choir – Russian National Anthem

The Blogger Roundup Here.

Photos: ‘One Nation’ rally in D.C.

Despite all the spin by some; it looks like there was a decent crowd there today.

I’d say as many as Glenn Beck had at his rally.

However, it is fair to point out that there were communists, unionists, Liberals, and even few weirdos there.

Not to mention how they left the place: (H/T Doug Ross)

However, I will say, as a libertarian-minded person; that this people have as much right to assemble peacefully, as the Tea Party group does. They also have a right to believe the way that they wish, as do the Tea Party Crowd does — even if it is horribly wrong.  Being wrong and incredibly stupid, is not against the law. Because if it were, I would have been jailed eons ago. 😛

No, I do not rejoice about Robert Stacy McCain’s Misfortune

I have received a few e-mails inquiring my feelings about the fact that Mr. Robert Stacy McCain’s blog encountered some problems and was down; and is now being repaired.

The short answer is no.  I do not rejoice when another Blogger; even though that blogger did toss me under the bus, has a problem.

Let me explain to you why.  Back on December 25, 2007, my blog, which was at this address here, was hacked, and I mean hacked badly, by Russian hackers who had been sniffing around my site for a long while.  However, unbelievably, you can actually look at my old blog here.  Partially, it was my fault for having that blog hosted at a site, whose security software, (MOD_Security for you geeky people…) was horrible out of date.  In addition, I had done a very stupid thing.  I did a Drupal in the root directory install with WordPress in a sub-directory. I was told later that this was not a smart thing to do —- I do have knack for figuring stuff out, the hard way.

Anyhow, everything that I had written on that blog, from the day I started blogging in 2006 — was lost.  I do not believe that I could ever properly put into words how much that hurt.  However, I cannot say that it was not deserved; I did make a huge mistake.  I did something, for which I am still feeling horrible about; I insulted a man’s dead wife — by accident.  I still feel horrible about it; and those who are his friends, still hate me to this because of it.  The blog, of whom the domain name had outlived its actual purpose, as by then, I had become convinced that left was just wrong about the good majority of things — was hacked and there I was, with nothing to show for a year’s worth of work.

Anyhow, so, no, I will not sit here and rejoice over someone else’s misfortune.  I hope McCain is able to pull it out of the fire and get back to blogging.  Even though he did toss me to the curb, I still read there; because like him or not, you have to admit, he is one hell of a good writer.  McCain is better than my piss poor excuse for writing.

I could not call myself a Christian — albeit a half-assed one as I am — and still look myself in the mirror, if I thought anything different.

I get mail!

Wow. Looks like the real haters have finally discovered this blog.

I find it fascinating that I can find a condemnation of Furkan Dogan and a link to USS Liberty on your page.

I find it fascinating that you do not equate *both* as Israeli terrorism.

For the record he is referring to this posting here.

Well, I find it fascinating that you, as a Klansman or an Arab Terrorist;
can actually read.

Anyhow, I’m no fan boy for Israel. But I am not in the crowd of hate. If you
are, you have zero business being around my blog.

Yes, I do criticize Wilsonian foreign policy. Further more, I criticize the
Neo-Cons who wish to put us into a perpetual state of war.

However, my motivation is not hatred of the Jews, like yours. Mine is simply
looking at the realistic consequences of such actions.

The Ironic part is, I am accused of being, what you really are. That, my
friend is the sick part.

….and yes, I am publishing the e-mail to my site with my reply.

Good Day!

That my friends is the long and short of it around here. If you are some Israel-hating, Jew Hating, Klansman; you have zero business being around here. I do not hate Jewish people at all. I simply want Republicans and Conservatives alike, to think about the consequences of their actions. It is not unreasonable to ask that people do that. It is, however, very unreasonable to accuse Israel of terrorism. I have no reason to believe that the U.S.S. Liberty was nothing more than a tragic accident. I also happen to know, that the Government of Israel paid the families of those killed and the survivors of the U.S.S. Liberty attack, a large sum of money for their mistake. — A fact often omitted by the hate crowd.  In fact, the site that this buffoon refers to, is not a hate site at all, but rather a memorial site to the fallen. Sorry gang, but the conspiracy theory idiotic nonsense just does not interest me, at all. Further more, I question the motivations of those, who dispute the official story about the U.S.S. Liberty.

Update: I figure before anyone nails me on this; I will say it. At one time, I did question the official story of the U.S.S. Liberty. That is until I finally read that the Israeli Government paid those that were hurt or killed in the Accident a good sum of money. My reasoning is this; if Israel hit that ship on purpose. Then why the heck would they pay the people for their mistake? You see, that would not make any sense. As do not most of the idiots who claim that the U.S.S. Liberty attack was not an accident.

As another blogger would say, you do not like what I publish here? Go start your own damned Blog and publish the stuff YOU want people to read. But don’t come here and spew hate and expect me to agree with you. Because it simply isn’t going to happen.

I call myself a Paleo-Conservative, because for one; I disagree with Wilsonian Foreign Policy. For two, I think that Keynesian Economics is just wrong and does not work. (See Tax and Spend) Now, do I believe that the Government should be entirely decentralized? No.  Further more, there does seem to be an element of Antisemitism within the Paleo-Conservative ranks. Well, I simply do not agree with those people.

Again, if you are a hater, a bigot, or whatever. Fine. Be one. But don’t come around here and start telling me how to write. Because I will simply tell you, what I tell the liberal morons who come here to start trouble; and that is to go fuck yourself. This is my blog, it is a journal of my thoughts, that I allow for public consumption. If you have a problem with what I write. There’s always other blogs out there; or you can start your own.

Oh, as for the accusation of Israel being terrorists. That is laughable on it’s face. Has Israel done things that I disagree with? Yes. But to use the word “terrorist” and Israel in the same sentence — is telling of the person using it. Not to mention it is just obvious that you are either; one, a Palestinian or a Neo-Nazi. Both of which I have no desire to give you anymore time, than I have to.

That is all.

UPDATEDWTF?!?!??!? CNN’s Rick Sanchez steps in it, deepCNN Says Rick Sanchez is FIRED!

This one comes via Mediaite:

Audio:

Transcript:

CNN’s Rick Sanchez is not happy with being made fun of constantly on The Daily Show and Colbert Report. It is from this jumping off point that he absolutely unleashed on Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and at times his own network, on Pete Dominick’s satellite radio show yesterday.

The big takeaway – Sanchez calls Stewart “a bigot,” then walks it back a bit, and he implies CNN is run by Jews.

The money quote:

I’m telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah.

Whoa……. 😯

What was I saying about people doing stupid stuff? Holy catfish…. 😯

To be fair, Sanchez did say that he was mindful of the past. But, cripes… Could you be just a little more sarcastic Rick?

A few other things: Sanchez ended his 8pmET version of Rick’s List today, and Parker Spitzer come in Monday. According to the same blog post, Dominick is starting a weekly Saturday 2:30pmET show on CNN tomorrow. We’ll get the audio up here shortly, but you can listen on Dominick’s site. And finally, we’ve reached out to CNN for a response.

He could be a little angry, maybe bitter. But my goodness. Does he have to be that much of sleazeball about it? 🙄

I’m just saying…

Now a Memeornadum Thread and the top news story of the day.

Also too, some of you might be thinking, what about you? Well, there’s a difference between being a wee little blogger and, um, ya know, Rich Sanchez.

Huge Update! CNN Says, “¡Adiós! ¡Hasta luego!”:

CNN released this statement today:

“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“

They will broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm for the foreseeable future.

I got news for you though; he knew he was going. That is why he got on the air and said what he did. He knew things were changing and he was not apart of it. So, Rick went off and said what he did, to get out of his contract….. and it worked.

of course, Rick will play the victim card and someone will eat that up. I look for him to pop up over at MSNBC or somewhere similar.

UPDATED: People in hell want ice water too

Oh Brother…. 🙄

According to the pool report, Obama thanked Phillips for the work he and his wife have done for Team Obama. Then the president mentioned that Phillips and Douglass have an opulent place in Italy and wondered why there had been no invitation to visit. “I’d appreciate a little break and some Tuscan sun,” the president said, according to the pool report. “Some pasta. I can use it.” — Obama: ‘I’d appreciate a little break’ | Washington Examiner

Way I see it, if this mother fucker cannot hang with the big dogs in D.C. Then, he needs to get his ass off the damn porch and get back to Kenya chi-town where he fucking belongs. Sorry if this sounds harsh; but I am a little fucking tired of listening to the President fucking whine about how fucking hard his god-damned job is. The way I see it, the mother fucker ran for President and he won, fair and square. He spent, what little time he has been on Congress and such critizing the previous President and thinking he could do a better job. Now, President Obama is in there, now he needs to do the job and quit the fucking whining or else, resign and let someone take over that can do the fucking job.

Updated: I thought I should add some more here; so that some of you can understand where I am coming from here. This is coming from someone who did not vote for George W. Bush. Now, having said that, let me say this — President George W. Bush; for all of his faults, as much as he was damned wrong about Foreign Policy —- never once, that I actually know of, ever publicly bitched or whined about how hard his job was or that he needed some sort of damned vacation. You think President Bush did not work hard during his tenure as President of United States? Please. 🙄  I would venture to guess that George W. Bush most likely dealt with more crap, as President; than Mr. Bambi Teleprompter will ever have to deal with. The truth is, as much as I thought Bush was wrong on many thing. I never, ever heard him complain about his job. That because CEO’s are not supposed to complain, they are leaders; and it is quite obvious to this damned writer that President Obama is not a leader, but rather a pen-pusher or a paper shuffler. He is not interested in leading, he is only interested in the glory and praise. Which is typical of people of his ilk.

So, in closing, my message to the President of the United States of America is this:

MAN THE HELL UP OR GET THE FUCK OUT!

That is all. 😡

Quote of the Day

A little early for this….but:

As far as I can tell, the Huffington Post is the Drudge Report for liberals, with a side helping of Star or the National Inquirer for celebutard gossip. Yeah, they pay a few reporters who got White House press credentials, but so does Fox News. If they’re the future of media, which I doubt anyone under 50 who isn’t bamboozled by Arianna Huffington believes, we’re in big trouble.

Wow! 😯

Good Question

It is a legit question:

Like Justin Raimondo, I am curious as to why Rand would bother to meet such people. They currently hold no office government. Kristol’s Weekly Standard magazine was worth peanuts on the open media market and all of their views and knowledge of foreign policy should have been utterly discredited after the debacle in Iraq. Why would a man presumably on a victory lap in his election feel the need to meet with people who have no discernible power, have been made to look like fools and who tried to keep him from getting nominated during the primary last spring? What’s next, a meeting with the leadership of the Kentucky chapter of the AFL-CIO in a Louisville parking garage? – The American Conservative » Rand’s secret rendezvous

I think it deserves a legit answer. Is Rand just another pushover to the Zionist Neo-Con right or will he stand up to them?

My thoughts on Meg Whitman-Gate

Here is the deal. This lady wanted to run for Senate. She knew damned well, what she did. But yet, she decided to run anyhow. Now, her husband is basically saying, “Well, maybe we did screw up.”

Michelle Malkin blames the maid; sorry, I do not buy that; I am not saying she isn’t being pushed to this stuff, and I am fully aware that she is faking the emotional crap.

I place the blame squarely on Meg Whitman. She knew damned well what she hired and decided to do it anyhow. Now that she’s caught, she’s playing dumb. Sorry Meg, we’re a bit smarter than that.

Which brings me to my point: Why the hell do people, who want to run for public office, do extremely stupid stuff? Makes zero sense to me. I mean, they should know that sooner or later, they are going to get caught. It is more than just an oversight; it is just blantant stupidity. Not that we need much more of that on our side of the political fence. I mean, we cannot critize liberals and thier idiotic polices, if we Conservatives are basically doing the same thing.

This about all that I have to say about this one. I mean, if the Republican Party of California cannot vet thier canidates any better than this; then they have no business being in power.

Sad News: Joseph Sobran has passed.

Some Sad news to report….:

The 20th century produced many great conservative writers, but none brought together wit, erudition, and humanity on a single page so well as Joseph Sobran. He was a remarkable man: even seeming quite frail at a gathering in his honor last December, he had a mind as accurate as precision clockwork, able to recall Shakespearean verses he had memorized decades earlier. He lived T.S. Eliot’s dictum that there are no lost causes because there are no gained causes, and he hated cant and injustice. News of his death today is a terrible shock, despite his long illness. He will be missed. — The American Conservative » Joseph Sobran, 1946-2010

A tragic loss… Prayers for the family. 🙁
