CNN’s Rick Sanchez is not happy with being made fun of constantly on The Daily Show and Colbert Report. It is from this jumping off point that he absolutely unleashed on Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and at times his own network, on Pete Dominick’s satellite radio show yesterday.

The big takeaway – Sanchez calls Stewart “a bigot,” then walks it back a bit, and he implies CNN is run by Jews.

The money quote:

I’m telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah.

Whoa……. 😯

What was I saying about people doing stupid stuff? Holy catfish…. 😯

To be fair, Sanchez did say that he was mindful of the past. But, cripes… Could you be just a little more sarcastic Rick?

A few other things: Sanchez ended his 8pmET version of Rick’s List today, and Parker Spitzer come in Monday. According to the same blog post, Dominick is starting a weekly Saturday 2:30pmET show on CNN tomorrow. We’ll get the audio up here shortly, but you can listen on Dominick’s site. And finally, we’ve reached out to CNN for a response.

He could be a little angry, maybe bitter. But my goodness. Does he have to be that much of sleazeball about it? 🙄

Huge Update! CNN Says, “¡Adiós! ¡Hasta luego!”:

CNN released this statement today:

“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“

They will broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm for the foreseeable future.

I got news for you though; he knew he was going. That is why he got on the air and said what he did. He knew things were changing and he was not apart of it. So, Rick went off and said what he did, to get out of his contract….. and it worked.

of course, Rick will play the victim card and someone will eat that up. I look for him to pop up over at MSNBC or somewhere similar.
