Naturally, this bombing will no more lead the Norwegian people to reconsider the wisdom of permitting Muslim immigration than the vast increase in the number of rapes committed by Muslim men. But it should. The multiculturalists will be quick to point out the mathematically obvious fact that that most Muslims don’t set off bombs. But this is irrelevant. Because, it is also a fact that if a nation does not permit Muslims to enter its borders, it is far less likely to ever suffer any such incidents.

An angry mother stood before a judge Friday afternoon in a barebones courtroom at the Richland County jail, describing the fractured skull, busted nose and broken eye socket her son received during an early Monday morning beating in Five Points.
Vicki Strangeās voice never quivered as she described racing to the hospital in the wee hours to get to her 18-year-old son, Carter Strange. She recalled standing in the emergency room and seeing a man on a gurney being wheeled down the hall, thinking, āThat poor man.ā
As nurses wheeled the man closer, Vicki Strange thought his hair looked familiar. Then she noticed the hands.
Vicki Strange speaks to a judge at a June 24 bond hearing for Tyheem Henrey. Henrey, 19, was charged for his alleged role in the beating of Strange’s 18-year-old son, Carter Strange, who was running home through Five Points to make curfew on Monday. The hearing was held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Tyheem Jaqui Henrey, 19, of Old Manor Road in the St. Andrews area was detained on a $750,000 bond on charges of second-degree assault and battery by a mob, robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.
A 14-year-old, 15-year-old and 16-year-old also have been charged with the same crimes as Henrey. A 13-year-old and three 16-year-olds have been charged with criminal conspiracy, Columbia police said. Their names have not been released because of their ages.

Now, some thoughts of my very own — about this case and those who committed this crime:
Whenever I encounter a case like this, where a group of blacks target a white person and do them physical harm, I have a terrible reaction. Images flash through my mind; my cousin being shot and killed in Detroit by two black police officers. I have an impulse reaction, my southern roots come to the surface; I want more than justice served on those who did the crime to this person; I want blood, their blood to spill for having the gall to attack a fellow white man. However then, common sense kicks in and I forced to realize that we do have a justice system in this Country and using that is a bit more sensible than a lynch mob is. That is because I have to stop and remember, we are a Constitutional Republic and in a Constitutional Republic mob rules are not the style or system of Government — But Jury trials and innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt is.
The second thing I truly begin to wonder is, āwhere are the parents of these black kids?ā This ought to be a case study or a textbook example in the failures of parenting a child. The perfect example of why a strong Christian Father and Mother, and why Godly administered discipline is paramount to a controlled home and children who live in submission to parents and to God. It has been said that if a parent does not discipline a child; then society will —- and in this case, it was proven correctly.
Lastly, this is a textbook case to the fact that Multiculturalism, Black Entitlement, and Black Empowerment should be considered a total abject failure. This beating was a direct result of the progressive āpot stirringā that has taken place by the Marxist or progressive left in this Country for years. These black youths beat this white kid, because they figured that because they were black, they would most likely get away with it or get off with a light sentence. As kids and growing up; these young men were most likely told that they were entitled to anything and everything that a White Man was and more, because they were black. This fosters a mindset of āI can do whatever I please, because I am blackā and this is a result of that reckless and very ignorant mindset.
I have to hand it to the mother and father of this young white man. If that were my kid — let us just say I would not be that calm about the situation; and there would be a great deal of black people in that town, who would be in fear for their lives.

Las Vegas heavyweight Steve Wynn, a self-described Democratic businessman, unloaded on the White House this week, blaming President Barack Obamaās political philosophy for the nationās stagnant job growth and poor business climate.
Wynn, the CEO of Wynn Resorts (WYNN), called the administration the āgreatest wet blanket to business and progress and job creation in my lifetime.ā
Rep. John Flemming, (R-La.), argues increasing taxes will kill jobs and hurt the economy.
The comments underscore the tense relationship between corporate America and the White House, and come as Washington is paralyzed by the tense negotiations to raise the nationās debt limit.
āI believe in Las Vegas. I think its best days are ahead of it. But I’m afraid to do anything in the current political environment in the United States,ā said Wynn, who was responding to a question during his company’s earnings conference call about expanding in Vegas.

In a new video which recently surfaced online, the Taliban appears to brutally and systematically execute 16 unarmed Pakistani policemen in what the terror group called a revenge killing.
The video of the massacre, which reportedly took place in early June, was posted online last week and confirmed by the Pakistani army today. It shows the policemen — who are not in uniform — standing in a line before a Taliban member who appears to be lecturing them. The man, who appears to act as the militants’ commander, accuses the policemen of executing six children in a previous operation and claims their imminent deaths are revenge, according to a summary posted with the video.
Several Taliban members then open fire on the group until all the policemen have fallen. A wailing cry is heard in the background after the initial volley. After reloading, a single fighter walks over each body and shoots them once more in the head.
But yet, President Barack Obama wants to try and negotiate with these monsters.
My friends, you do not negotiate with criminals and cold blooded killers; these people hate Liberty and Freedom. I do keep a PayPal donation tab up there; recently some dude, who happened to like something I wrote tossed like $5.00 in the jar. I was shocked, it was the first donation I had gotten this year. I got a few last year, and in 2008 during the election. But recently, outside of the recent donation — the TipJar has been bare. I did get two people, that bought some gold from the gold company that I am an affiliate through. I made $157.59 on those purchases. Now, if I got like 10 of those a day?!?! I never have to worry about anything at all, ever. But, nobody is buying or donating anything right now, as it is a tight economy. It is not just me; it is everyone.
As for Hawking’s idea of getting big or getting hooked up with other people. I got two words: Screw Him. I will never, ever sell out to a Corporate Entity, ever.Ā I will explain why; Here at political byline, Rupert Murdoch does not control me, Salem Media does not control me — see where I am going with this?Ā Corporate funding or associations mean control of the message. I was to have been on QVC today to introduce my book, āPrime Time,ā about aging and the life cycle. The network said they got a lot of calls yesterday criticizing me for my opposition to the Vietnam War and threatening to boycott the show if I was allowed to appear. I am, to say the least, deeply disappointed that QVC caved to this kind of insane pressure by some well funded and organized political extremist groups. And that they did it without talking to me first. I have never shied away from talking about this as I have nothing to hide. I could have pointed out that threats of boycotts are nothing new for me and have never prevented me from having best selling books and exercise DVDs, films, and a Broadway play. Most people donāt buy into the far right lies. Many people have reached out to express how excited they were about my going onto QVC and hearing about my book.
Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT! I love my country. I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us. I do not understand what the far right stands to gain by continuing with these myths. In this case, they denied a lot of people the chance to hear about a book that can help make life better, easier and more fulfilling. I am deeply grateful for all of the support I have been getting since this happened, including from my Vietnam Veterans friends.

You all remember when I got a little fired up here the other night on twitter, after I saw a couple Anti-War Liberal pukes slamming Israel and making Antisemitic comments?
Well, it turns out that Meryl Yourish knows the same thing that I do. That the overall modus operandi of the Palestinians and the liberal media who are in bed with them; is not for a two state solution. But rather the destruction of Israel as a State.Ā That, as you all know from my blog posting, is a bit more than I can tolerate. I am the most open-minded person in the World, However, I have no patience for people who hate; just to hate — because of someone’s ethnic background.
Any Christian or any person that knows their history; knows that America and Israel have had a wonderful relationship. Because of this, America has been incredibly blessed for that by God Almighty. Also, when the United States has kicked dirt in the face of Israel; we have paid a terrible price for it. Israel is God’s land and if we turn against them, we will pay for it; one way or another. This is why I have been troubled at President Barack Obama’s cagey, at best, relationship and his disrespecting of Israel. Believe me, when I tell you; it is nothing partisan about it. However, it is something that clashes with my personal Christian beliefs and my deep Biblical convictions.
There are some of you, that might be surprised that I did a supposed “360” on my stance of Israel. It was not really a sudden reversal. It was not really a reversal at all; it was simply owning up to the fact that many in the libertarian/Paleo-Conservative camps are very much racist and Anti-Semitic. Even as a someone who feels that America should not be an imperialist Nation, I simply cannot agree with hatred of those who are Jewish — nor can I side with those who are against, and wish for the destruction of Israel.
As my video said, I may not be the best spokesperson for the Jewish people and for Israel. However, I firmly believe that America’s prosperity and well-being is DIRECTLY tied to our relationship with the state of Israel.Ā If we should ever abdicate that relationship; I dreadfully fear what would become of this beautiful Country of ours.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) on Friday strongly suggested that members of Congress are making it difficult for President Obama to raise the debt ceiling because of his race.
“I do not understand what I think is the maligning and maliciousness [toward] this president,ā said Jackson Lee, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. āWhy is he different? And in my community, that is the question that we raise. In the minority community that is question that is being raised. Why is this president being treated so disrespectfully? Why has the debt limit been raised 60 times? Why did the leader of the Senate continually talk about his job is to bring the president down to make sure he is unelected?ā
Earlier in her speech, Jackson Lee said Obama has been targeted unlike any other president.
“I am particularly sensitive to the fact that only this president ā only this one, only this one ā has received the kind of attacks and disagreement and inability to work, only this one,” said Jackson Lee from the House floor.
“Read between the lines,” she continued. “What is different about this president that should put him in a position that he should not receive the same kind of respectful treatment of when it is necessary to raise the debt limit in order to pay our bills, something required by both statute and the 14th amendment?”
Jackson Lee concluded by saying that she hoped someone would step up and say that what appears obvious to her is not in fact true.

John Boehner says its time “to get serious about our fiscal situation, both the deficit and our long-term debt.” He says he is willing to increase the debt limit as long as the deal includes “real spending cuts” and “reforms to restrain future spending.” But only future Congresses can restrain future spending. Boehner knows this. He knows that the current Congress he rules over can change anything that a previous Congress has done. Promises of future spending restraints and cuts are a ruse.
And something else that probably millions have wondered: Why didn’t the Republicans get serious about our fiscal situation when they controlled the White House and the Congress for a majority of the Bush years and could do whatever they wanted? Answer that Boehner, before you talk about restraining future spending.

Just another footnote; these were also the idiots who were warned by the Bush White House, that the Housing Market was about take a major nosedive. What did they do? Nothing. Because they were making millions on it. For that, I believe, the Republicans will have to wear that little incident around their necks for a very long time.
I hate having to write blog entries like this; mainly, because I happen to like Rick Perry. However, because I am a blogger of the truth — and because I do not want to see Rick Perry wounded in the election. I am bringing this point up.
Rick Perry has a religious wacko problem and I mean a big one!

On September 28, 2009, at 1:40 p.m., Godās messengers visited Rick Perry.
On this day, the Lordās messengers arrived in the form of two Texas pastors, Tom Schlueter of Arlington and Bob Long of San Marcos, who called on Perry in the governorās office inside the state Capitol. Schlueter and Long both oversee small congregations, but they are more than just pastors. They consider themselves modern-day apostles and prophets, blessed with the same gifts as Old Testament prophets or New Testament apostles.
The pastors told Perry of Godās grand plan for Texas. A chain of powerful prophecies had proclaimed that Texas was āThe Prophet State,ā anointed by God to lead the United States into revival and Godly government. And the governor would have a special role.
The day before the meeting, Schlueter had received a prophetic message from Chuck Pierce, an influential prophet from Denton, Texas. God had apparently commanded Schlueterāthrough Pierceāto āpray by lifting the hand of the one I show you that is in the place of civil rule.ā
Gov. Perry, it seemed.
Schlueter had prayed before his congregation: āLord Jesus I bring to you today Gov. Perry. … I am just bringing you his hand and I pray Lord that he will grasp ahold of it. For if he does you will use him mightily.ā
And grasp ahold the governor did. At the end of their meeting, Perry asked the two pastors to pray over him. As the pastors would later recount, the Lord spoke prophetically as Schlueter laid his hands on Perry, their heads bowed before a painting of the Battle of the Alamo. Schlueter ādeclared over [Perry] that there was a leadership role beyond Texas and that Texas had a role beyond what people understand,ā Long later told his congregation.
Nothing wrong with that right? A couple of Ministers praying over someone right?
Well, it’s not the praying that is the problem; it’s the people doing the praying that is the problem.
This is the part of the story published that caught my eyes:
Some of the fiercest critics of the New Apostolic Reformation come from within the Pentecostal and charismatic world. The Assemblies of God Church, the largest organized Pentecostal denomination, specifically repudiated self-proclaimed prophets and apostles in 2000, calling their creed a ādeviant teachingā that could rapidly ābecome dictatorial, presumptuous, and carnal.ā
Assemblies authorities also rejected the notion that the church is supposed to assume dominion over earthly institutions, labeling it āunscriptural triumphalism.ā
The New Apostles talk about taking dominion over American society in pastoral terms. They refer to the āSeven Mountainsā of society: family, religion, arts and entertainment, media, government, education, and business. These are the nerve centers of society that God (or his people) must control.
Asked about the meaning of the Seven Mountains, Schlueter says, āGod’s kingdom just canāt be expressed on Sunday morning for two hours. Godās kingdom has to be expressed in media and government and education. Itās not like our goal is to have a Bible on every childās desk. Thatās not the goal. The goal is to hopefully have everyone acknowledge that Godās in charge of us regardless.ā
But climbing those mountains sounds a little more specific on Sunday mornings. Schlueter has bragged to his congregation of meetings with Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, state Sen. Brian Birdwell, and the Arlington City Council. He recently told a church in Victoria that state Rep. Phil King, a conservative Republican from Weatherford, had allowed him to use Kingās office at the Capitol to make calls and organize.
āWeāre going to influence it,ā Schlueter told his congregation. āWeāre going to infiltrate it, not run from it. I know why Godās doing what heās doing … Heās just simply saying, āTom Iāve given you authority in a governmental authority, and I need you to infiltrate the governmental mountain. Just do it, itās no big deal.ā I was talking with [a member of the congregation] the other day. Sheās going to start infiltrating. A very simple process. Sheās going to join the Republican Party, start going to all their meetings. Some [members] are already doing that.ā
Okay, time to bust out with my Christian credentials here. As most of you know, who read this blog. I am a Born-Again Christian. but, I do not wear it on my sleeve really anymore. I have been “saved,” as the Christian World calls it, for 29 years. 21 of those years was spent in the Pentecost movement or type of Churches. I spent nine and a half years of that time in a Assembly of God Church in Southwest Detroit. So, believe me when I tell you; when it comes to this subject, I know full well, of what I speak.
When the Assembles of God denounces a group like this one here; believe me, it is for a very good reason. These people are kooks and I mean really, really, really bad kooks. The Assemblies of God in the spectrum of the Pentecostal movement are some of the most Conservative —- theologically speaking — Churches and people in the Pentecostal movement. These kooks that Rick Perry are hanging with, in that same spectrum, are the more progressive or radical kind.Ā These people make people like Benny Hinn, Rod Parsley and the many others look like boy scouts! šÆ
What I am basically trying to say is this; and I hope like the dickens that someone sees this and advises Rick Perry on it — Rick Perry, if he wants to be elected President of the United States of America, needs to put as much daylight between these people and himself as he possibly can. These people are the Christian equivalent of say, the Muslim brotherhood; except maybe they do not try to kill people. What they do want to do is this; they want to rip out the United States Constitution and have a Government that dictates its laws from the Bible. The problem with that is this; the United States of America was not founded as a Christian dictatorship, it was founded as a Constitutional Republic.
This group of people who Rick Perry is hanging with are a part of the radical, extreme Christian Right. If Rick Perry thinks that the left and the liberal media will not savage him for this sort of association; he, with all due respect to the man and the office that he now holds — is crazy.
During the 2008 election, the right — including myself —- utterly brutalized then candidate Barack Obama for his radical and Anti-American Religious affiliations. I feel, that what is fair, is fair. Because I am not entrenched in partisanship, I believe that Rick Perry should either give an account of why he is associated with these people or disassociate himself from them.Ā As much as I know that the White House is now occupied by radical leftists — both former and current cabinet and staff members. I just do not believe that putting in a radical Christian Right President and cabinet is the answer to that problem.
We need a strong fiscal Conservative in the White House to bring this Nation back to its rightful place. We do not need some radical Religious nut-job in the White House. Lord knows, we had eight good years of that, and look what it got us. I say that as someone who suffered through those eight years. Also too, Do not think that I say this as a Fundamentalist Baptist with a “hard on” against Pentecostals. This is someone who has been around in the Christian world for a LONG TIME and I have seen what those people believe, and even as Pentecostals; they as nutty as they come.
In closing: Rick Perry needs to do the proper and right thing; or he should forget about running for President.

The New Zealand dollar was a stand out performer, soaring to 30-year highs after data showed the economy grew far faster than expected in the first quarter.
The kiwi flew to $0.8491, a rise of 3.7 percent in just two sessions, as the upbeat news revived the chance of a rate hike before year-end.
That stood in stark contrast to the United States, where Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke had canvassed the idea of further quantitative easing should the economy stall
“Three months ago all the focus was on the exit from unconventional policy; now Bernanke mentions the conditional possibility of QE3,” said Paul Meggyesi at JPMorgan. “This is unambiguously bad for the dollar and good for risk.”
Investors seemed to agree, sending commodities and gold higher and lifting growth-leveraged currencies like the Australian dollar.
The U.S. dollar slid to a fresh record low against the Swiss franc around 0.8089 francs, while the euro leaped to $1.4253 having been as low as $1.3984. The dollar also deflated to 78.83 yen with only talk of semi-official bids preventing a break of major support around 78.40/50.
Against a basket of currencies, the dollar was down at 74.773 .DXY, having tumbled for a high of 76.053.
In a double whammy for the U.S. currency, Moody’s warned the country could lose its top-notch credit rating if lawmakers fail to increase the country’s debt ceiling.
In a statement, Moody’s said it sees a “rising possibility that the statutory debt limit will not be raised on a timely basis, leading to a default on U.S. Treasury debt obligations.”
Meanwhile, what does our President do, instead of actually trying to lead the Country? He walks out like a silly two year old:
President Barack Obama abruptly walked out of a stormy debt-limit meeting with congressional leaders Wednesday, a dramatic setback to the already shaky negotiations.
āHe shoved back and said āIāll see you tomorrowā and walked out,ā House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) told reporters in the Capitol after the meeting.
On a day when the Moodyās rating agency warned that American debt could be downgraded, the White House talks blew up amid a new round of sniping between Obama and Cantor, who are fast becoming bitter enemies.
When Cantor said the two sides were too far apart to get a deal that could pass the House by the Treasury Departmentās Aug. 2 deadline ā and that he would consider moving a short-term debt-limit increase alongside smaller spending cuts ā Obama began to lecture him.
āEric, donāt call my bluff,ā the president said, warning Cantor that he would take his case āto the American people.ā He told Cantor that no other president ā not Ronald Reagan, the president said ā would sit through such negotiations.
Democratic sources dispute Cantorās version of Obamaās walk out, but all sides agree that the two had a blow up. The sources described Obama as āimpassionedā but said he didnāt exactly storm out of the room.
āCantorās account of tonightās meeting is completely overblown. For someone who knows how to walk out of a meeting, youād think heād know it when he saw it,ā a Democratic aide said. āCantor rudely interrupted the president three times to advocate for short-term debt ceiling increases while the president was wrapping the meeting. This is just more juvenile behavior from him and Boehner needs to rein him in, and let the grown-ups get to work.ā
On exiting the room, Obama said that āthis confirms the totality of what the American people already believeā about Washington, according to a Democratic official familiar with the negotiations, and that officials are ātoo focused on positioning and political posturingā to make difficult choices.
Cantor insists he never interrupted the president, and was ādeferential,ā seeking permission to speak.
The latest and sharpest in a series of harsh exchanges between the two leaders heightened concern that markets could crash at any time amid fear of a reduction in the rating on once-ironclad U.S. debt.
Cantor, for his part, delivered the blow-by-blue of his interaction with Obama to a gaggle of Capitol Hill reporters in the Speakerās Lobby, where lawmakers typically mingle with reporters during votes. It wasnāt through aides ā it was Cantor taking on the president, directly.
Cantor accused the president and congressional Democrats of progressively low-balling, over the last several days, the savings that could be achieved from proposals discussed by Vice President Joe Bidenās working group on deficit reduction. Cantor warned that the group has not identified enough cuts to win House passage of a $2.5 trillion debt-limit increase ā the size the president says is needed to get through the 2012 election, sources told POLITICO.
Obama told Cantor that he would either have to agree to tax increases or give up on his demand that the debt hike be matched dollar-to-dollar to the cuts ā that is, $2.5 trillion in deficit-reduction over 10 years in exchange for a $2.5 trillion hike in the debt ceiling.
He said that the negotiators should return to the White House Thursday to discuss savings from health care programs, budget caps and options for raising revenue.
āThen he said we also ought to get in the mode here, because weāre going to have to decide by Friday which way weāre going,ā Cantor said. āHe said really we ought to all start to think about things we can do rather than things we canāt.ā
Thatās when Cantor said he would be willing to abandon his own insistence on having just one vote on the debt ceiling if they could agree to a smaller package of cuts in exchange for a shorter-term hike that would require another increase before the 2012 election.
But Obama said he wouldnāt do the debt-limit increase incrementally and that he would veto a short-term bill.
āThatās when he got very agitated,ā Cantor told reporters.
āObama lit him up. Cantor sat in stunned silence,ā said an official in the meeting. āIt was incredible. If the public saw Obama he would win in a landslide.
Yessir, America; that is your President, whining like a damned two-year-old, when he does not get his way. Meanwhile the Country and the World is going into the toilet. This is what Democrats do, they screw up things, and when the time comes to act like adults, this is what happens.
I mean, I hate having to repeat myself; but the Democrats, on top of the spending of Bush, spent more, like drunken Sailors and to what end? Nothing! I mean, we have all this debt and where are the damned jobs? There are none! Now that it is time to work to keep the US from defaulting on loans from places like China; what does the President do? Walks out on the Republicans! What an idiot!
Just a reminder, this is the result of the failed Obama-Pelosi stimulus plan.

I feel the need to write about something, which has been bugging me for a while now. I had always known that there was a certain subset of the Conservative movement, which was Anti-Semitic and racist. However, I felt that I could disagree with those people and still call myself a Paleo-Conservative. Indeed, I do very much highly disagree with those who believe in exporting Democracy to other Countries. However, something that occurred tonight forced me to confront the fact that the Anti-War, Paleo-Conservative/libertarian crowd was a bit more hateful than I thought.
First off, let me say this; indeed, I am skeptical of some of the goings on in Israel. Indeed, I am very critical of those who use their racial or ethnic background to get special treatment in this Country. However, my criticisms do not equate to the general hatred of Jews, neither does that equate to a hatred of Israel. Nor does it equate to the feeling that Israel does not have the right to exist as a Nation or that Israel should be destroyed. That my friend is unabashed hatred and that is something that I will not be a part of, at all.
As you all know, that read this blog; I am a user of the social media service called twitter. Tonight, I saw something on twitter that made me very angry. It appears that a particular online publication, which hails itself as a ālibertarianā one; has a twitter account. I am referring to AntiWar.com. It appears that this site has a twitter account and on it, a link was posted to a story, in which a Palestinian girl was killed by Israeli border guards.
It was not so much the story that was posted, that I had such a problem with; it was the comment left, when the tweet was sent, it read:
Israeli police will not face trial over death of Palestinian girl – hey it’s not like she’s Jewish or something. feh. http://ind.pn/pjh8Mt
My friends, this is something that I just cannot and will not overlook. This anti-Semitic stereotype is so often bandied about regarding the Jews and Israel. This is nothing more, than leftist hatred; something that I cannot and will not support, ever.
So, as of today, the following changes are being made to this blog. I am, as of now, removing the label of Paleo-Conservative/libertarian/Classic Liberal from this blog. If that is what those two groups, being libertarian and Paleo-Conservative are truly about ā I am done with them for good. I am a āright of centerā that is what I always called myself. I simply put labels on it, so people could understand where it is that I come from. However, I feel that ignoring this and leaving the labels on the blog fosters the idea that I am someone supports that sort of hatred.
Further, I have removed the section on this blog, which brings the argument that āRacismā was the invention of a group of Marxist Jews from Germany that fled to America. While that might be true —- unfortunately, there are people out there, who use that argument to hide behind, so that they can continue to spew hatred towards Jews and Blacks —– I am not one of those people.
Further, I am going to find and display on my blog, in an obvious spot, a banner that declares that I STAND WITH ISRAEL —- as a Christian, I lay claim to that land, and one day, during the millennial reign of Christ, I will dwell in that land and judge Angels. That is what my Bible tells me.
This, admittedly, is a new place for me; and I feel a bit weird in it. However, when one stands for what he feels is morally right, sometimes, it has to be uncomfortable. Further, if those who disagree with this move of mine want to call me a neo-con, Jew Lover, Bush lover or warmonger — fine, let them. They are fools and one fine day, they will discover just how wrong they truly are.
It feels so good to be doing, what I feel is morally right.
I have been known to defend the John Birch Society in the past and once even stuck up for them, which inflamed a blog war.
However, when a writer at the John Birch Society writes something that I disagree with, and believe is wrong; I will call them on it.I happened to get an e-mail from Zionica, which is a Christian newsletter from a site that rounds up various posts on blogs, that would be of interest to people like me.
Usually, I agree with everything posted there; but this part got up my libertarian nose a bit.

No: What matters is not the principle of separation of religion and government but rather the nature of the religion connected with government. Christianity clearly demands tolerance and love for all mankind. Why anyone would expect that the metaphysical system of Hinduism āwhich, until Europeans introduced Christian values, practiced the suttee (burning alive of the widows of husbands who had died), Thugee (religious murder to appease the goddess Kali), and oppression of “untouchables” (as in India) ā would be āpeacefulā is a mystery.
Worst, though, are those nations which formally adopt a religion of violent oppression. Islam today bears a striking resemblance to the Shinto in Imperial Japan (Kamikaze pilots and suicide bombers, as well as as the mandate of world conquest. There are no less than 26 nations in Asia and Africa in which Islam is the state religion. In many even the attempted conversion of people to other religions is a capital offense.Ā
Should it surprise us then to learn that on Sunday thousands in Bangladesh violently protested recent changes to the nationās 1972 Constitution that retained Islam as the state religion of the nation but which diminished somewhat the role of Islam in government? The Bangladesh Nationalist Party demanded that āabsolute faith in Allahā be put back in the constitution. Not only riots but strikes have also crippled the nation. The protesters, chanting, āThere is no God but Allahā blocked highways and started fires. They also attacked police, as Sheikh Ainul Haj, the district police chief related: āThe activists … beat seven of our officers who are injured. We shot rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the unruly mobs.ā
All religious practitioners have not exhibited the same tolerance for non-practitioners that typically is demonstrated in Judeo-Christian cultures. The surest path of peace and liberty has most often been shown by those willing to embrace the Bible and those faiths that nourish their souls on its wisdom and goodness. Anti-Christian, anti-Jewish states such as Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia have been among the most oppressive in the world, suggesting a penetrating question: Why do we try to separate our God from America? America and its liberties were founded upon faith, and these liberties die without God ā a historical fact evil and prideful men wish to deny.
As John Adams said: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”
Now this is just a snippet of what the man wrote; and I highly recommend that you go read the entire thing first.
Here is my problem with this piece. The truth is, most American Muslims are peaceful and most of them, just want to practice their religion in peace and not be bothered and further more, most of them have no desire whatsoever to hurt anyone at all. What this article does not do, is separate between peaceful Muslims in America and violent extremist Muslims living abroad and some here in America.Ā I will fully admit to having personal reservations about Muslims here in America, especially those who tend to embrace extremism. However, I am not ready to toss out the proverbial “baby with the bath water” just yet.
This, I am afraid, is a tactic straight out of the far Christian right; which panders to the fears that most Americans feel, when around people of other cultures. Fifty years ago or longer; it was blacks and now, it is Muslims. Further, this article is a classic textbook example of the very flawed belief system that America was founded as a “Christian Nation.” In fact, the United States of America was founded as a Constitutional RepublicĀ by men, who by today’s standards in evangelical Christianity; were Religious at best. In fact, one them, Ben Franklin was, in fact, agnostic.
The founders of this great Nation of ours, did, however, believe that one thing was, in fact, paramount — Religious Freedom.Ā This is why the first amendment was added to the Constitution.Ā Further, the founders also believed that the State should keep its nose out of the affairs of the local Church; as well, as the Church keeping its nose out of the affairs of the Government.
So, while I respect the “Christian Right,” I am afraid cannot, as a believer in Constitutionalism; support the idea that Islam should not be protected under the First Amendment. Nor can I support the foolhardy idea of “Christian Supremacy.”Ā I would never support the idea of Islamic Supremacy, nor White Supremacy or any other sortĀ of group that wishes to exert its particular group as supreme. So, why would I support this foolish notion? Ā I believe that all men are created equal and should be treated as such and that no religion, political party or ethnic group should be held in higher regard than another.
To do anything other, is quite dangerous and is a grave danger to our Republic.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Barack Obama often discussed his mother’s struggle with cancer. Ann Dunham spent the months before her death in 1995, Obama said, fighting with insurance companies that sought to deny her the coverage she needed to pay for treatment.
“I remember in the last month of her life, she wasn’t thinking about how to get well, she wasn’t thinking about coming to terms with her own mortality, she was thinking about whether or not insurance was going to cover the medical bills and whether our family would be bankrupt as a consequence,” Obama said in September 2007.
“She was in her hospital room looking at insurance forms because the insurance company said that maybe she had a pre-existing condition and maybe they wouldn’t have to reimburse her for her medical bills,” Obama added in January 2008.
“The insurance companies were saying, ‘Maybe there’s a pre-existing condition and we don’t have to pay your medical bills,’ ” Obama said in a debate with Republican opponent Sen. John McCain in October 2008.
It was a simple and powerful story, one Obama would tell many more times as president during the national health care debate. But now we’re learning the real story of Ann Dunham’s health coverage is not quite what her son made it out to be.

According to the book, Ann Dunham, an anthropologist who spent most of her working life in Indonesia, moved from Jakarta to New York in 1992 to work for a nonprofit called Women’s World Banking, which encouraged micro-lending in Third World countries. Unhappy in New York, in 1994 Dunham took a job with an American company called Development Alternatives, which had a contract with the Indonesian State Ministry for the Role of Women. Dunham returned to Jakarta to work, and Scott reports the job provided Dunham with health insurance, a housing allowance, and a car.
At the time she took the job, Dunham was increasingly worried about her health; she was suffering from intense abdominal pains. In November 1994, Dunham went to an Indonesian doctor who diagnosed appendicitis. As Dunham debated whether to leave the country for surgery, she called her boss at Development Alternatives. “You’ve got health insurance, that’s taken care of,” the boss told her. “We can cover the airfare.”
Dunham decided to stay in Jakarta, where she underwent an appendectomy. But the pain did not go away, and Dunham feared, correctly, that she was terribly ill. In January 1995 she left Indonesia to go home to Honolulu, where she was diagnosed with advanced uterine and ovarian cancer. She began a regime of surgery and chemotherapy.
That is the time during which Obama says his mother battled insurance companies to cover her illness. But Scott, who had access to Dunham’s correspondence from the time, reveals that Dunham unquestionably had health coverage. “Ann’s compensation for her job in Jakarta had included health insurance, which covered most of the costs of her medical treatment,” Scott writes. “Once she was back in Hawaii, the hospital billed her insurance company directly, leaving Ann to pay only the deductible and any uncovered expenses, which, she said, came to several hundred dollars a month.”
Scott writes that Dunham, who wanted to be compensated for those costs as well as for her living expenses, “filed a separate claim under her employer’s disability insurance policy.” It was that claim, with the insurance company CIGNA, that was denied in August 1995 because, CIGNA investigators said, Dunham’s condition was known before she was covered by the policy.
Dunham protested the decision and, Scott writes, “informed CIGNA that she was turning over the case to ‘my son and attorney, Barack Obama.’ ” CIGNA did not budge.
In September 1995, Dunham traveled to New York for an evaluation at the renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Returning to Hawaii, she began a new course of treatment. She died in November.
A dozen years later, her son turned her ordeal into a campaign pitch for national health care. But the story Obama told, Scott writes, was “abbreviated” — the abbreviation was to leave out the fact that Ann Dunham had health insurance that paid for her treatment. “Though he often suggested that she was denied health coverage because of a pre-existing condition,” Scott writes, “it appears from her correspondence that she was only denied disability coverage.”
That’s a different story altogether. One the president never told.

LAKE JACKSON āĀ After serving almost 24 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Ron Paul told The Facts exclusively this morning he will not be seeking another term for the District 14 seat.
Paul, 75, will instead focus on his quest for the presidency in 2012.
āI felt it was better that I concentrate on one election,ā Paul said. āItās about that time when I should change tactics.ā
His announcement will give enough time for anyone with aspirations for his seat to think about running, he said. Paul didnāt want to wait for filing in the 2012 primary to let people know he wasnāt seeking reelection.
āI didnāt want to hold off until in December,ā he said. āI thought it shouldnāt be any later than now.ā
Paul has served 12 terms in Congress. District 14 encompasses a 10-county area along the Gulf Coast.
āThe people in the area have supported me for many years,ā he said.
Ed Morrissey over at HotAir.com, who is not a Ron Paul fan at all; offers some fact correction and some straight talk:
The Facts needs to do The Math.Ā Paul first won election to Congress in a 1976 special election, lost later that year, and then won again in 1978.Ā Heās served parts of 18 terms in the House, which adds up in this case to a little over 34 years when his current term expires.
Paul either really wants to retire or really thinks that heās on the cusp of a major upset in the GOP primary.Ā Iāll assume that he has a somewhat realistic view of his prospects in this primary, where he might wind up as the runner-up among Texans if Rick Perry jumps into the race.Ā Heāll be 76 years old next month, and with his son in the Senate, Paul may feel comfortable with retirement after one last national campaign that puts his somewhat erratic libertarianism on the GOP presidential agenda for a second straight cycle.Ā If heās not taking a realistic view of his chances, then perhaps he believes that the only thing that held him back from besting John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee in any 2008 primary was his simultaneous campaign for re-election.Ā If so, then he really needs this retirement.
Of course, Paul could change his mind before the end of the year, but after this kind of announcement, it would be hard to sell even to the adoring voters in his district.Ā Looks like the end of the road for the man best known for contrarian votes on meaningless resolutions and for railing against government spending while garnering pork for his constituents.
I agree with the above, especially the underlined part.Ā When I discovered that little tidbit of information, that was when I basically dropped my support of Ron Paul. Besides all of that; The Ron Paul cult did the same thing as the Barack Obama cult did, made the man into something he was not.Ā When Ron Paul saw that he could not win the Presidency in 2008 and decided to give his support to the rest of the 2008 independent candidates, some of the Ron Paul cult almost went into meltdown. Some of them even turned on him and accused him of being a puppet for the Illuminati or something. It wasĀ a strange thing to watch.
Not only this, point-blank; the man is just not electable, period, end of story. Heck, even his supporters openly admit that, “It is not about winning, it is about spreading the message.” To which I ask, what is the purpose of spending all that money, time and effort into a person, who really does not give a hoot if he is elected or not? That my friends, is the epitome of stupid. Not to mention that he has associations and has taken money from people, who are, in my humble opinion, just straight up evil.
As I have said before, I respect Ron Paul on his fiscal policy; but his foreign policy; in this day and age of external threats to our Nation —- irregardless of what caused them — the fact is that they are there, and Ron Paul’s foreign policy is just not realistic. You cannot offer flowers and rainbows to people who want to kill you. It is just that damn simple. The only thing that terrorists and evil people, like some of Ron Paul’s friends understand; is the end of a gun — and we should keep that in mind, when voting for our next President.
Other than that, I wish Ron Paul a very happy retirement and I thank him for his service to his Country. I also thank him for returning his Congressional seat back to the adults in politics. š
