Polls: I do not put much stock into them

I am referring to the poll which came out yesterday that gave Republicans a big lead.

Here are the charts:

Story Snippet:

The last Gallup weekly generic ballot average before Labor Day underscores the fast-evolving conventional wisdom that the GOP is poised to make significant gains in this fall’s midterm congressional elections. Gallup’s generic ballot has historically proven an excellent predictor of the national vote for Congress, and the national vote in turn is an excellent predictor of House seats won and lost. Republicans’ presumed turnout advantage, combined with their current 10-point registered-voter lead, suggests the potential for a major “wave” election in which the Republicans gain a large number of seats from the Democrats and in the process take back control of the House. One cautionary note: Democrats moved ahead in Gallup’s generic ballot for several weeks earlier this summer, showing that change is possible between now and Election Day.

Here is why I do not put much stock into these polls. Because one week, these polls will show that the Republicans are on top; and the Republicans will say to the Democrats, “Ha Ha! We’re on top!” and the next week the reverse will happen. It goes on and on and on. President George W. Bush, much to his credit, did not pay attention to these polls. The same seems to be the case with President Barack Obama, which some might argue, shows that he is not concerned with what the American people think and that is never a good narrative to have running, when you are in your first term.  Again, however, I as a political blogger, just do not put much stock in the polls; mainly because polls are just a fashion show, if you will, of what people happen to be thinking at the time.

However, because I am supposed to be someone who does lean to the right. I believe it is fair for me to point out that the reason why the Democrats and Barack Obama’s poll numbers are tanking is because President Barack Obama made all sorts of crazy promises during his campaign and then, the minute he was elected, he reneged on those promises. Also it would be fair to report that the Democrats rammed through the Healthcare Bill, which no one wanted at all — including some Democrats. It is also fair to point out that President Obama’s plan for a Economic Stimulus failed horribly and our economy is still in the toilet.

However, it is fair to point out, that things could drastically change by November. I highly doubt it, but it is possible. Heck, anything is possible in this day and age.

In Closing: While those polls are neat to look at and all. I would not wager the house on them. Because, like the stock market. They change daily.

The Other McCain has arrived in Alaska!

This ought to be good:

Good news: It’s only $60 a night.

Better news: The local crack whores seem to have called it an early night, so it’s quiet. There’s free WiFi and free coffee in the lobby. I’m not complaining.

via Greetings From Anchorage! : The Other McCain.

Like I said, this ought to be really good. If McCain manages not to get arrested; he will be bringing some awesome coverage from Alaska and the Joe Miller campaign. I encourage you to bookmark McCain’s site and stick a few bucks in his tip jar. Because the last thing we need is McCain whining about not being able to get home. Worse yet, the man is getting old; and there’s nothing worse, than an old man getting his tail kicked by his old lady. 😛 😀 😉

Stay Tuned.

Glenn Beck launches The Blaze

I have mixed feelings on this and I will explain that:

Via Mediaite:

Having conquered TV, radio, book publishing and now live events, Glenn Beck is looking to expand his media empire into a new arena – the web (obviously GlennBeck.com is thriving too).

Mediaite has the exclusive details about a news and opinion website Beck is launching tonight. Here’s what to expect.

Beck’s new site is called TheBlaze.com, and will be edited by Scott Baker, formerly of Breitbart TV and host of “The B-Cast”. In an exclusive statement, he tells Mediaite:

Our hope is that everyone who comes to The Blaze finds original reporting, insightful opinions and engaging videos about the stories that matter most. We are excited to launch and I look forward to keeping Scott and his team busy by sending countless ideas at 3am every morning.

We talked to Baker today about what readers can expect from the new site, the team behind it and more. “It’ll be news and information,” he told Mediaite. “Some commentary and opinion stories we’re interested in that are being under-covered or not covered.”

People will inevitably make the comparison to Arianna Huffington – whether Beck’s role as figurehead behind the site will make The Blaze into a conservative Huffington Post. “The one thing pretty clear around Mercury [Beck’s company] is that Glenn is not short on ideas or hesitant on input,” Baker said. “His input is already evident in how the site looks, and that’s what will continue. It will be a continual flow of tips and suggestions and encouragement.”

As I said above, I do have mixed feelings about this; let me explain. My hope is, that Glenn Beck’s team will do hard reporting and critical thinking pieces about the players in the Conservative movement. My fear and realist intuition tells me, however, that this site will most likely be; and I do hope that I am wrong — just another Conservative echo chamber for the right.  I think one of the biggest issues with the Conservative Blogosphere, is that there just is not any critical thinkers or intellectuals anymore. All you have are these people on the far-right, who stick to the normal talking points. There are exceptions to this rule, such as this site here. But the majority are just a part of the echo chamber.  Interestingly enough, the site that I just referenced, is considered by some, not to be Conservative enough for their liking. Which I find personally to be quite strange.

Speaking of that echo chamber, let me say this; some of you might have noticed that this site’s tone has changed a bit. I will explain that. When I first switched sides politically after basically “Waking and smelling the coffee” on the Democratic Party; I began blogging as a Conservative. At first I was a strict Paleo-Conservative. Because I just did not agree with President Bush at all. In fact, he was the reason why I started blogging in the first place. Did I suffer from BDS or Bush Derangement Syndrome? Not as bad as you would think. I simply could not stand the man’s arrogance. But was not as whacked out about it as some were and still are on the left and some in Paleo-Right circles.

Anyhow, as I went along, I began to see; like I did with the Democrats, that there were just things in the Paleo-Conservative arena that took me aback a bit. I mean, it is one thing to not like the identity politics of the left. But it is an entirely different thing to look at black people as intellectually inferior to white people. It is one thing to dislike the Identity Politics, when it comes to the Jewish Race, on the right and disagree with Wilsonian Foreign Policy. However, it is another thing entirely to believe that there is some sort of Jewish cabal to overthrow the United States Government and refer to that as the “Zionist Occupational Government” or ZOG as it is called by many Paleo-Cons.

Continuing; After coming the realization that the Paleo-Con right was not much about anything other than bitterness and resentment of those who kicked them to the sidelines for being the true bigots that they are. I basically decided to become a part of that “Echo Chamber.” I tried that for a while and for I while I was content with it. However, as I went along; I simply began to grow frustrated with what I saw as just straight up propaganda by the right. Especially when it came to President Obama. I mean, I do not like his Socialist nonsense anymore than anyone else. But there is just some of that “Shrieking Harpy” nonsense that I just do not agree with. Further more, I still remain convinced that Wilson foreign policy is just wrong. I have always vowed on this blog, that I would tell you want I think. Even if it means that someone calls me a “Neo-Con”, a “fake Conservative” or whatever else that any of this mindless sheep want to hang on me. I would rather be truthful and straight with you all, than to push a damned MeMe on a blog to suit everyone else. My feelings are SCREW EVERYONE ELSE. Because they are not me; and I will not publish propaganda here to appease anyone else. I have never done that, and I never will.

In Closing: I hope Glenn Beck’s new site is an independent Conservative Voice that speaks for itself; and not the talking points of the Right. More of that is needed, and that is what I will do here on this Blog, no matter the cost.

Quote of Day

Glenn Beck’s big rally at the Lincoln Memorial a couple days ago is the talk of the news media and the internet. Liberals are denouncing it, conservatives are walking on air, while tens of millions of people are completely mystified. And with good reason — if Seinfeld was a show about nothing, this massive gathering was a rally about nothing. And while it may have looked impressive, in reality it shows just how impotent and adrift the mainstream conservative movement has become.

Nobody is really sure what it was even about. Beck, who is only famous because he has spent hours a day for the last decade ranting about politics, says it had nothing to do with politics, even though Sarah Palin was the keynote speaker.

It was about “restoring honor” or something, whatever that’s supposed to mean. Or it was a way of “supporting the troops,” depending on which day you talked to Beck.

[………….]

And Palin? She was asked what Martin Luther King would’ve thought of the rally. This was a great opportunity to tell it like it is for all of America to hear. She could’ve said something like: “Martin Luther King? I’m white – why would I give a damn what Martin Luther King would’ve thought about this rally? At any rate, he no doubt would have disapproved, as he was a radical left wing socialist whose movement was all about increasing the size and power of the federal government, and using it to take rights and resources from white people and give them to non-whites. Hell no he wouldn’t have approved, and I couldn’t be more proud of that fact.

[….]

Clearly, Beck’s rally was a vague, confused jumble of meaninglessness. Or, if you prefer, a hot ghetto mess. Yet many conservatives are excited and thrilled, and think that 8/28/10 will forever be remembered as some kind of turning point, as the day when the huge task of “taking America back” formally got underway. In reality, it was the exact opposite. I’m convinced that one of these days, we’ll look back on this as the nadir of the mainstream conservative movement, as its death rattle, as the day the conservative movement gave up the ghost. Hundreds of thousands of white conservatives spent millions of dollars to travel to DC, to stand around and do nothing, after being ordered not to bring any signs to express themselves, while Beck and Palin lectured them on the glories of The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr., and the importance of getting back to the fundamentals of the Christian-Jewish-Muslim-Hindu-Sikh-Mormon faiths.

[….]

The demographic changes that have transformed Orange County are also transforming the rest of America. The process may be further along in Orange County, but it’s happening everywhere. Thanks to immigration, sixty percent of the babies being born in Texas are non-white, and it’s only a matter of a few more elections before Texas’s electoral votes go to the Democrats, and when that happens, the GOP can forget about putting one of their own in the White House ever again. And there are many other cities and states that are right behind Texas, and lots more where the process will take a few more decades to have the same effect, but all of America is on its way to turning into Orange County, California.

That’s why the Beck Heads and Tea Partiers are losing their country. Not because they don’t attend their local mosque often enough. But they can’t admit that, because that would be “racist”, and losing your country is a lot better than being called “racist.”

But a conservative movement as willingly impotent as the crowd that came to DC on Saturday can’t go on much longer. At some point it’s going to dawn on them that no matter how much they grovel to MLK and praise his holy name, or how many “conservative” imams they pack their podium with, they still get called racists and Nazis, and their country just keeps slipping further down the tubes.

When that finally sinks in with conservatives, and it may be sooner than we think, things will start to get interesting.

BREAKING NEWS: Two Men on United Flight from Chicago Arrested on ‘Preparation of a Terrorist Attack’ charges in Amsterdam

The system worked again, is what they will say….

Via ABC’s Brian Ross, the most awesome damned reporter on the planet:

Two men taken off a Chicago-to-Amsterdam United Airlines flight in the Netherlands have been charged by Dutch police with “preparation of a terrorist attack,” U.S. law enforcement officials tell ABC News.

U.S. officials said the two appeared to be travelling with what were termed “mock bombs” in their luggage. “This was almost certainly a dry run, a test,” said one senior law enforcement official.

Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi, left, and Hezem al Murisi

A spokesman for the Dutch public prosecutor, Ernst Koelman, confirmed the two men were arrested this morning and said “the investigation is ongoing.” He said the arrests were made “at the request of American authorities.”

[….]

In addition, officials said, al Soofi was found to be carrying $7,000 in cash and a check of his luggage found a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, three cell phones taped together, several watches taped together, a box cutter and three large knives. Officials said there was no indication of explosives and he and his luggage were cleared for the flight from Birmingham to Chicago O’Hare.

Instead, officials say, al Soofi was joined by the second man, Al Murisi, and boarded the United flight from Chicago to Amsterdam.

When Customs and Border officials learned al Soofi was not on the flight from Dulles to Dubai, the plane was ordered to return to the gate so his luggage could be removed. Officials said additional screening found no evidence of explosives.

The two men were detained by Dutch authorities when the United flight landed in Amsterdam, according to the officials.

AllahPundit Opines:

Basically, it sounds like this guy wanted to see just how many red flags he could send up and still be allowed to board an intercontinental flight. Answer: Quite a few, as it turns out. Which was also true of Flight 253, of course, another attempted terror attack that involved a bomber trained in … Yemen, the new number-one hot spot of international terrorism

That sounds about right; so to my readers who read this blog and travel abroad. (as opposed to traveling with broads. 😉 ) —- anyhow, seriously folks. Be careful. If you see something, anythingSAY SOMETHING! If they do not listen, demand to see their boss and keep raising hell, until someone does something! The only way that we can prevent terrorism, is to be on the look out.

There has been a lull in the activity and people are beginning to forget about the Christmas Day Terrorist attempt. That, my friends, is what terrorists do. They wait for people to do lulled back into complacency and that is when they strike. We must ALWAYS be on our guard for these bastards to strike. We are now in the global war on terror; and they want to come here to finish the job.

I may be a Moderate between Paleo-Conservative and Neo-Conservative; I may not be as far to the right as some might think that I should be. However, one thing CAN NEVER be said about this blogger —- and that is that I have my head up my arse about the global war on terrorism. I know the risks, and I am more than willing to take the hard knocks to stand against those who wish to commit Jihad against America. Further more, I am more than willing to be called a “Neo-Conservative” blogger, if that is what it means to be one, who feels that Terrorism, and terrorist activity is more than just some lowly criminal activity —- as Democrats believe it to be.  It is an act of war and should be treated as such.

In Closing: Terrorism is a real thing. If you are traveling, be aware of what is going on around you and be careful. If you see anything suspect; tell someone!

Alaska Libertarian Party to Lisa Murkowski: No Thanks Sweetie!

You know, I do believe that there might just be hope for the Libertarian Party after all:

Libertarian Republican Reports:

From Eric Dondero:

The Executive Committee of the Alaska Libertarian Party held an emergency meeting yesterday to discuss the contested primary results in the Republican Senate primary. All 5 board members met in an undisclosed location in northeast Anchorage to hammer out a decision as to how to move forward.

Friends of Lisa Murkowski approached the ALP early Wednesday morning immediately after the Tuesday primaries, feeling out if there was any possibility that the Senator could appear on the Libertarian line for the fall election, as a third party candidate. Other supporters of the Senator, including at least two longstanding members of the Libertarian Party, also called to lobby ALP Chair Scott Kohlhaas to keep an “open mind,” on the issue.

Kohlhaas was immediately innundated with Alaska and national media over the matter.

On Sunday morning, over coffee and donuts, the ExComm voted unanimously, 5 to 0 to deny the Senator the ballot line. There was no malice intended. ALP Chair Kohlhaas has repeatedly stated that she is a nice lady, and the ALP was flattered by the offer.

The meeting was contentious at first. Two board members who were clearly on the Tea Party friendly Joe Miller side were combative before they realized that the other three board members agreed with them on the essentials. At a number of points the meeting even digressed into name-calling. The ‘F’ bomb was even tossed around a number of times. One board member was hellbent on holding an immediate statewide meeting open to full membership or registered Libertarians to decide the matter. That idea was shot down 4 to 1.

Man, am I glad to see that common sense ruled out over political paybacks. This woman was a RINO, to beat all RINO’s and she was being backed by the Republican establishment. The good news is, that the NRSC is pulling their people out.  This will help things greatly; but there are still things that could happen; under handed things. Which is why Robert Stacy McCain is headed to Alaska, as I write this. Hopefully, he can get up there and make darned sure that nothing under-handed takes place. So, if you would, head on over to McCain’s blog and toss a couple dollars in the Tip Jar, if you would. Because, unlike me, McCain goes to these places and reports on what is happening. That is deserving of some sort of support.

In Closing: Kudo’s to the Libertarians for sticking to principle.

Say WHAT?!?!: Glenn Beck the White Malcolm X?

Someone over at The Daily Beast thinks so:

Glenn Back the White Malcolm X? Oh My....

But as most of those who attended Beck’s rally understand in their bones, that world is gone. And President Obama, for all his efforts to expand the reach of the federal government, has had very little to do with this deep transformation. Rather, the country has long since been transformed by powerful demographic and economic forces that very much threaten what we might call Glenn Beck’s America.

Instead of accepting or embracing this transformation, a large and growing number of white Americans are, knowingly or otherwise, taking a page from minority protest movements of the past by asserting themselves and demanding recognition from political and cultural elites. Many on the left find this sense of anger and alienation risible, seeing in this movement of “are-nots,” as opposed to “have-nots,” a class of ignoramuses duped by Fox News into acting against their supposed economic interests.

Yet it seems more plausible that Fox News is following its audience rather than leading it — that this anger and alienation has existed for years, and has only now found a decidedly unconventional tribune in the form of Glenn Beck. Though this is a class with economic grievances, it seems more concerned with psychic injuries — with a profound sense of disempowerment in the face of centralized political power.

I contacted the official representative of the Malcolm X Black Power movement and ask for her reaction, this is what I got back:

Need I say anymore? 🙄

Living proof that liberals are classless assholes: Exhibit S for Sex!

It’s that time again folks!

But first, some music for this piece:

If only I had Rod Roddy, around to do the intro.

Anyhow, here is the latest installment of assholery from the socialist Liberal friends on the left.

Some guy who writes for the Huffington Post wants a…. yes, you read it right a Sex Tape of Glenn Beck: (Original Link here)

Let’s delve into this ugly shall we? Wear protective gear, as this stuff is nasty:

Rupert Murdoch and the Koch brothers are happy to throw money at the rising tide of right wing lunacy. Breitbart offered $100,000 for JournoList, the email listserve that brought down WaPo blogger Dave Weigel this June.

Why did they do it? Because they stand to make a lot of money off the anti-black president movement, and they are rich enough to imprint their beliefs on the American sheeple.

High net worth progressive Democrats don’t do this as much, perhaps because they’re not typically in cahoots with Boeing or Monsanto or Halliburton, et al. Also, there are fewer anti-communist, religious crackpots on the left.

Before we get to the reward money, a little “Tea Baggers for Beginners.”

His motives are clear:

Enter Glenn Beck, the farce part of the intellectual tragedy sired by the neocon founding fathers Irving Kristol and his historical sidekick Norman Podhoretz.

Beck touts religion, because he says the battle for America’s soul is at stake. It is all about morality, propriety, and doing what’s right. But Beck’s conception of religion is all about control. He replaces God with an ersatz myth about self-reliance and a position of moral superiority spun in ways that magically seem to privilege the few at the expense of many (this includes the anti-Middle East / Islam thinking that led to the war in oil-rich Iraq), etc.

Glenn Beck talks about what’s right a lot. Propriety comes from the same root as property, and that does seem to be the issue. As the culture changed in the 60s, so did neighborhoods. This was the heyday of blockbusting and race-baiting. We are in similar territory with a black president right now. His successful campaign is proof positive that the counterculture prevailed over the conservative movement. And the neocons are mad as hell about that.

Glenn Beck is also a Mormon. It matters. His religion typifies the noble lie that the neocons originally set out to defend against the counterculture–Archie Bunker’s America–where a woman’s place was in the home and with baby, and an African American’s place was in a ghetto. (Mormons revere women much like Hindis do the cow, and they didn’t accept African Americans in their ranks at all till 1978–draw whatever inferences you like).

The new conservatives are true believers in the “One Right Way”, and Democrats only rarely agree on the one best way to go. But we can all agree that Fox News is a bad influence on America.

It is time to pop the tea baggers’ favorite balloon (so what if it will be replaced by another?), and with that in mind I hereby offer to negotiate a $100,000 payday to the person who will come forward with a sex tape or phone records or anything else that succeeds in removing Glenn Beck from the public eye forever. I am not offering the cash myself, but I will broker the deal and/or raise the money for what you bring to the table. (And it better be good.)

Now, I am going to be straight with you all. I am not a fan of the Podhoretz crowd either; but this is just over the top. I also detect a slight Jew-Hatred to this posting. I mean, it is one thing to say, I don’t like war mongers. But it is another entirely to go this far. The only thing he did not use, was the word “Jew” in the piece. Yeah, I know, I did attack the same bunch in this posting here. However, my piece was not about hatred of Jews or even Wilsonian foreign policy.  It was simply about the far-right targeting Megan McCain and Moderate Conservatives. It is just coincidentally, that thier piece was published by a Neo-Conservative website; and I felt mentioning that was needed.

There is a difference between informing people and outright hate. This guy’s piece is just outright hatred of the right, Glenn Beck and yes, even possibly Jews. Which is why when you go the link now, you see this:

Editor’s Note: This piece was published directly to the Huffington Post by its author. It didn’t meet our editorial standards and has been removed from the site.

Glad to see that someone over at the Puffington Post is using what little brain that liberals actually have.

The feckless Far-Left: Exhibit P for Paranoia

I have seen to strange stuff on the far-left, but this one here is really strange:

A mysterious fire last Friday destroys all of the voting machines in Harris County (Houston), Texas. Arson investigators have not yet issued an opinion. Meanwhile, a well-funded right-wing group emerges in Houston and begins raising unfounded allegations of widespread voter fraud. A video on their website pictures only people of color when it talks of voter fraud. White people are shown talking patriotically about the need for a million vigilantes to suppress illegal votes.

In the video, an unidentified spokesman for “TrueTheVote” says, “If we lose Houston, we lose Texas. And guess what? If we lose Texas we lose the country.” The former Mayor of Houston, Democrat Bill White, is running against secessionist Republican Gov. Rick Perry this year. White’s counting on a big turnout in his home town. The fire and the voter suppression campaign guarantee a greatly diminished turnout.

TrueTheVote’s video is well produced. Participants speak in calm and knowing tones, disguising the racist agenda behind their project. We don’t yet know where the group’s money comes from. But they have money.

As I’ve said before, right-wing voter suppression campaigns are the most under-reported political scandal of the last 50-100 years. But there’s never been anything like the criminal destruction of all the voting machines in the nation’s fourth largest city. You don’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to suspect the machines in Houston were destroyed by an arsonist. Warehouses don’t regularly and spontaneously combust at four in the morning, especially warehouses containing all the voting tools in a pivotal city in a pivotal election.

In other details, the suppression campaigns follow a familiar pattern: raise suspicions of widespread voter fraud. Accuse “others” of stealing elections from us (read: white people). Threaten would-be voters with criminal charges. Limit polling locations in poor and minority precincts. Distribute spurious “felon lists” that disenfranchise legal voters who happen to share a name with a felon. Staff phone banks that make election calls to minority and poor voters giving incorrect polling locations and dates. Dress up vigilantes in cop clothes to intimidate would-be voters.

Go read the rest of that; it is brimming with Paranoia and conspiracy theory.

The cute part is, the original title for this entry was: Possible Arson tied to Right’s Texas Voter Supression Effort,” the problem is, they could never tie anything to any group at all. All they have is their idiotic assumptions. I mean, honestly, like any right wing group of this nature would actually waste their time and risk going to jail by burning a warehouse full of voting machines. Fortunately, someone over at Puffington Post had enough brain cells to change the title to something that is a bit less of what I like to call, “Lawsuit Material.” The name is now: Possible Arson and the Right’s Texas Voter Suppression Effort.” Which still reeks of stupidity and tin foil hat nonsense.

Which precisely why I will never vote Democratic Party, ever again.

The Feckless Far-Right: Exhibit S for Stupidity

You know, I hate to be the one to mock my friends on the far-right. But this one here is a classic example of why the Republican tent is getting smaller by the day.

Over at Neo-Conservative owned NewsRealBlog, you have this big dose of lame ass tripe:

Dirty Sexy Politics by Meghan McCain is scheduled for release on August 31. But you don’t have to wait until Tuesday to see what didn’t make the final editorial cut. NewsReal Blog has obtained exclusive excerpts from the chapters rejected by Meggie Mac’s editors.

1. How Dare People Gawk At My Boobs When I Posted Them Publicly On Twitter

Meghan McCain infamously posted a picture of her, shall we say, “cups over-flowing” on Twitter the very same day that the Balloon Boy hoax went down. Presumably because, as a publicity hound extraordinaire, she couldn’t stand the focus being on some icky kid. From fly-over country, no less. As such, she tried to insert herself, and her massive ta-tas, in the mix. And then feigned indignation when people looked at the picture — that she posted publicly on the Internet. She attempted to make this a pop-up chapter in her book.

OMG! All those meany pantser, objectifiers on twitter didn’t understand that picture was code and a public service! I’m a giver! I was trying to let them know balloon boy was safely hidden, tucked away in my cleavage. Hello? I was holding a book! Everyone knows reading is hard. The purty picture on the book was code, too, obvy. Andy Warhol – a sign that the balloon boy people were just trying to steal MY 15 minutes of fame thunder.

The Andy Warhol book was relevant, seeing that Meghan McCain is well past her 15 minutes. However, sadly, the chapter was omitted because while CNN did not fact check the Balloon Boy story prior to setting the nation in a tizzy, they did fact check Meggie Mac’s ta-tas. Endlessly. Proving once again that journalism is, in fact, as dead as Janeane Garofalo’s career.

As for the Balloon Boy scam and the totally empty hot air balloon?  STILL more substantive than Meghan McCain.

Ah, yes, how supportive of a fellow Republican, than to mock her, because she’s blond, because she’s not a foreign policy wonk, because she is fat. How farking lame can you get? What is Megan McCain’s horrible offense for this sort of hatred and stupidity? Because she is a moderate. Because she is not some sort of far-right wing hatemonger idiot that’s what!

My Public question is this: Hey, Lori Ziganto and Jenn Q. Public! How’s it feel to be pimped out, by one of the biggest and most well-financed Neo-Conservatives that influenced George W. Bush to pursue his Wilsonian foreign policy? Which, by the way, is a PROGRESSIVE foreign Policy stance — which caused the Republican Party to lose the election of 2008, because Americans were weary of the idiotic foreign policy of George W. Bush —- and before you even say it, that’s not Bush derangement syndrome, that is reality folks. But yet, Conservative still flock to these idiots and then wonder why we cannot win elections.

Also, to those of you, who might not like it, because I choose not to embrace the idiotic nonsense of the far right. I have one thing to say to you: Try winning the 2010 and 2012 elections without us. It will never happen. You really want to put a another Democrat in the White House? Then keep on cranking out stupidity and hatred like this here towards Moderate Republicans. Because quite frankly, and very bluntly; I would rather vote for a Libertarian candidate and at least I would know for a fact, that this person would intend on sticking with his principles; which is honestly more than I can say for the previous Republican President, which threw his principles into the wind for the sake of supposedly keeping the bankers rich “Saving America.”

Ask the people that worked with Senator Barry Goldwater Sr.’s election campaign, how embracing the far-right idiotic nonsense worked for them. Ask the people that run George H.W. Bush campaign, when he ran for a second term, after taking us into a war, how easy it was to get reelected. But yet, Republicans just keep on flocking back to these Wilsonian idiots. I will never, ever, understand it.

Countdown to the Semite-Card playing, Wilsonian, Neo-Conservatives attacking me for being a hater in…..5…..4…..3….2

Update: Removed all references to a particular ethnic group. Because I do not want to give the Semite-Baiting twits any more ammo, than they actually need.

My Follow Conservatives: We must help this man

My Fellow Conservatives, if we are the people that we claim to be; a group of people that does distinguish between moderate Muslims and radical Muslims who wish to destroy America. It is time to put our money, where our mouths are.

This man was a victim; A victim of someone who, although intoxicated, was caught up in the euphoria surrounding the Mosque that the backers of park51 want to build. While I feel that the backers of park51 project ought to be covering this man’s bills. I also feel that we, as Conservatives, ought to take the higher plane and ought to at least contribute to this man’s cause and help him cover his bills until he can get back to work. Because, whether we want to admit it or not; there are some on our ranks, that actually created this mess. We ought to be the honorable ones, and help this man. He is an innocent bystander in a war, between those who want to destroy America and those who wish to preserve it.

From CNN:

(CNN) — New York cab driver Ahmed Sharif cannot bring himself to talk about the young man who allegedly cut his throat and nearly killed him last week, a taxi union representative said Sunday.

“Ahmed is a strong man, but mentally he has limits,” said Bhairavi Desai of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance. “The trauma he’s experienced will last for a long time.”

Desai spent time this weekend with Sharif. She said his most pressing worry is how he’ll provide for his wife and four children — including a 10-month-old –without a job. Sharif is receiving 2/3 of his salary, about $30,000 a year, in workers’ compensation. Union members do not get health insurance or disability payments, Desai said.

“My guess is that he’ll be unable to work for at least four months,” Desai said. “He can’t even pick up his baby because of the wounds to his arms. He can’t turn his neck.”

There’s been so little money raised over the past few days for Sharif that it would “barely cover baby formula,” said Desai who, along with Sharif, held a widely publicized press conference Friday announcing the union was creating a fund for the family. The union’s website indicates how to mail a donation or give online.

There is also an address that you can send your checks and money orders to, it is:

Further more, I do not want to hear any idiotic griping about how this place is some sort of a union or progressive organization. Who cares? They are helping this man, and that my friends is all that matters. In fact, when this posting goes live. I will be sending a small donation, along with the link to this posting. Because I do want to show, that unlike some people out there, calling themselves Conservatives, I am not ate up with hatred of those of another race. I want to show, that my battle is not against those of the Islamic Faith or those of Arab decent; but that my battle is against radical Islam and Jihad — against those who have hijacked a religion to further an agenda of hate. Sort of like these guys here.

I encourage my fellow Conservatives to for once, to put aside our feelings of mistrust; and help someone, who was quite honestly, caught in the crossfire. If we do this, we can rebuild an image that was tarnished the day this man was stabbed. Do it now; go, give and give abundantly.

The Feckless Far Christian Right: Exhibit GH for Gay Hatred

I hate to even place these buffoons in with the Christian Right for two reasons. For one, in the past; they have supported Democrats and For two; these idiots are beyond just your typical nutty far right wingers. They are just straight up hatemongers.

(CNN) — A motorist fired pepper spray Saturday at a group of demonstrators and counter-protesters outside a funeral for a U.S. Marine in Omaha, Nebraska, police said.

The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. (11 a.m. ET) as members of a small Kansas church that protests at military funerals and counter-protesters stood nearly a block away from First United Methodist Church during services for Staff Sgt. Michael Bock, 26, who died August 13 in Afghanistan’s Helmand province.

A man in a Ford-150 pickup truck drove by, extended his arm and sprayed with a large can, police said. His vehicle was stopped a few minutes later.

“Initial indications are he was probably targeting the Westboro Baptist Church” protesters, said officer Michael Pecha, a spokesman for Omaha police.

George Vogel, 62, who lives just north of Omaha, was booked for 16 counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of felony assault on a police officer for the pepper-spray exposure, police said. Vogel also faces one count of child neglect because his child was in the truck, Pecha told CNN.

[….]

Shirley Phelps-Roper, a member of Westboro Baptist Church, said Omaha police did not adequately control roughly 30 counter-protesters, who she said jostled with church members. She also challenged Knudsen’s and Pecha’s account, saying a few Patriot Guard members were among the counter-protesters.

The group was about 1,000 feet from the church when the driver came by. “Of course it was directed at us,” Phelps-Roper, who is Fred Phelps’ daughter, said of the pepper spray.

None of the 16 Westboro members on the corner were affected because they raised signs to shield themselves or turned away, Phelps-Roper said. The group returned home shortly afterward.

Extra officers were on hand for any possible altercations, but there were only verbal exchanges before the truck drove up, police said.

They should be glad it was just mace. Because folks, they are jacking with our United States Military. They are militant haters who have, like the terrorists on 9/11, have hi-jacked a Religion to further their religion of hate. I am all for having a Religious opinion; I too believe that Homosexuality is a sin. But to protest the funerals of dead United States Soldiers? That my friends is an act of terrorism.

In the past, I have tried to at least explain these people and their thinking. No more. I am done trying to explain them. Baptist? Calvinist? Absolute Predestination? Meh. Screw them — They just haters, hiding behind theology. They are no different than Al-Qaeda; they are Terrorists, Christian Terrorists, who are using our first amendment for protection. Just like Revolution Muslim does; and the only thing that a true-blue, dyed in the wool terrorists understands —- is the end of gun. They are also Anti-American Zealots, who rail against everything that America stands for. They should be arrested on terrorism charges, that Church seized and sold and the funds given to families of dead United States Soldiers.

My Name is Patrick and I am the owner of this blog and I endorse this message. Because nothing is worse than stupid Christians and than is, Hate-mongering Stupid Christians. Terrorists they are; and they should be stopped.

President Obama, is there is one thing you COULD do right and that would be to end this group and end them now. America would be so much better off. However, If I know Shrimpy McWaffle like I do; he would rather have them around to use as a prop to campaign against the Right. Which is about par for the course for this President. However, to be fair, President Bush did excatly nothing about these idiots and I really do not expect President Obama to either. Cowardice in Government is such a tragic thing.

Corruption of the Democrats strikes again!

Man, there are just no honest Democrats anymore are they?

Longtime Dallas congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has awarded thousands of dollars in college scholarships to four relatives and a top aide’s two children since 2005, using foundation funds set aside for black lawmakers’ causes.

The recipients were ineligible under anti-nepotism rules of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, which provided the money. And all of the awards violated a foundation requirement that scholarship winners live or study in a caucus member’s district.

Johnson, a Democrat, denied any favoritism when asked about the scholarships last week. Two days later, she acknowledged in a statement released by her office that she had violated the rules but said she had done so “unknowingly” and would work with the foundation to “rectify the financial situation.”

Initially, she said, “I recognized the names when I saw them. And I knew that they had a need just like any other kid that would apply for one.” Had there been more “very worthy applicants in my district,” she added, “then I probably wouldn’t have given it” to the relatives.

Confirmed: Steve Benen is a liberal moron

As usual, Steve Benen whines about Glenn Beck’s rally not being a rally for socialism.

MOVEMENTS ARE ABOUT SOMETHING REAL…. I tried to keep up on today’s festivities at the Lincoln Memorial, but as the dust settles, I find myself confused.

For a year and a half, we’ve seen rallies and town-hall shouting and attack ads and Fox News special reports. But I still haven’t the foggiest idea what these folks actually want, other than to see like-minded Republicans winning elections. To be sure, I admire their passion, and I applaud their willingness to get involved in public affairs. If more Americans chose to take a more active role in the political process, the country would be better off and our democracy would be more vibrant.

But that doesn’t actually tell us what these throngs of Americans are fighting for, exactly. I’m not oblivious to their cries; I’m at a loss to appreciate those cries on anything more than a superficial level.

via The Washington Monthly.

What an idiot, but then again, he is a liberal; one can expect only so much.

Another stupid liberal whines about Conservatives actually having money

Two Words: So What?

Seems another liberal moron is whining about Conservatives actually having a little bit of money:

ANOTHER weekend, another grass-roots demonstration starring Real Americans who are mad as hell and want to take back their country from you-know-who. Last Sunday the site was Lower Manhattan, where they jeered the “ground zero mosque.” This weekend, the scene shifted to Washington, where the avatars of oppressed white Tea Party America, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, were slated to “reclaim the civil rights movement” (Beck’s words) on the same spot where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. had his dream exactly 47 years earlier.

Vive la révolution!

There’s just one element missing from these snapshots of America’s ostensibly spontaneous and leaderless populist uprising: the sugar daddies who are bankrolling it, and have been doing so since well before the “death panel” warm-up acts of last summer. Three heavy hitters rule. You’ve heard of one of them, Rupert Murdoch. The other two, the brothers David and Charles Koch, are even richer, with a combined wealth exceeded only by that of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett among Americans. But even those carrying the Kochs’ banner may not know who these brothers are.

via Op-Ed Columnist – The Billionaires Bankrolling the Tea Party – NYTimes.com.

Go read the rest of that. That is if you bear to stomach such stupidity on a Sunday.

I got two words for ’em:  George Soros. Is he not a wealthy liberal? Is he not a big financier of all things liberal on the left? Why Yes, Yes he is!

But yet, it is somehow evil that Conservatives have people on their ranks to fiance projects like Beck’s rally or any of the other rallies planned; oh, that’s just evil.

Give me a farking break people. Just another one of your typical double-standard drivel pieces from what used to be a respectable paper. But now is nothing more than a farking liberal scratching pad.

Because the first Stimulus worked so wonderfully well!

Some liberal moron over at the New York Times thinks it is time for a second stimulus! Because the first one worked so oh wonderfully well! 🙄

OUR national debate about fiscal policy has become skewed, with far too much focus on the deficit and far too little on unemployment. There is too much worry about the size of government, and too little appreciation for how stimulus spending has helped stabilize the economy and how more of the right kind of government spending could boost job creation and economic growth. By focusing on the wrong things, we are in serious danger of failing to do the right things to help the economy recover from its worst labor market crisis since the Great Depression.

The primary cause of the labor market crisis is a collapse in private demand — the same problem that bedeviled the economy in the 1930s. In the wake of the financial shocks at the end of 2008, spending by American households and businesses plummeted, and companies responded by curbing production and shedding workers. By late 2009, in response to unprecedented fiscal and monetary stimulus, household and business spending began to recover. But by the second quarter of this year, economic growth had slowed to 1.6 percent, according to a government estimate issued Friday. Clearly, the pace of recovery is far slower than what is needed to restore the millions of jobs that have been lost.

via Op-Ed Contributor – Why We Need a Second Stimulus – NYTimes.com.

When are these farking liberal morons going to ever learn? That is that Keynesian pump priming of the economy just does not work at all.  You would think that by now the Liberals would have figured that out. Heck, even a liberal blogger thinks that is a bad idea! When the liberals are saying, “Dude, you are wrong,” then I believe that is a good sign to frankly give it up.

I’ve said this a good number of times on this blog, and I will most likely say  it another good hundred times. Liberalism is a MENTAL DISORDER! Micheal Savage said it first, and man, is he ever right.

Quote of the Day

The future of Iraq will hinge on its security forces after the Americans officially hand them control on September 1st. The forces are much better than they were a few years ago; buckling under pressure is no longer a certainty. Yet even their own generals say they are not really ready. The Iraqi army chief of staff wants American help until 2020. Privately, American officers agree their job is not done. Iraqi intelligence work is poor, extremist infiltrators are common, the air force is in its infancy, some commanders follow nakedly political agendas and initiative in the lower ranks is lacking, as is equipment. Prisoners are widely abused.

It is clear that Iraqis will for many years be plagued by corruption, insurgents, meddling neighbours, and their own stubborn politicians. Ending America’s “combat mission” is a gamble—and gambles can be lost.

The Glenn Beck Rally: A Massive Capitulation to the Black Race or a Massive Mormon Recruitment Scheme?

I hate having to write editorials like this.  Because every time I do, some idiotic liberal takes what I write and twists them to suit their own means.  I have personal experience with that sort of a thing, as you can see by clicking here.  However, one must accept the things that go along with being someone who speaks the unspeaking truths that are often covered up by those who wish to remain “Politically Correct” — let me be blunt about that; I do not know the meaning of the word.

Looks like Glenn Beck pulled off his big rally in Washington D.C. today. Even the far right’s resident shrieking harpy was there; Yes, I am referring to Sarah Palin. From reports that I have read, Glenn Beck’s rally outnumbered a rally planned by the resident black race hustler Al Sharpton by 5 to 1. From the reports that I have read, Al Sharpton could only muster about 3000 people at his rally. Which is not too awfully surprising, as many within the black community have said that Al Sharpton’s brand of racial incitement is old hat and many young black people consider him to be nothing more than that of a race hustler.

Now back to Glenn Beck’s rally; there were a few things, which I noticed about his rally — I watched a great deal of it, before turning off the feed and going to take my daily afternoon nap.  Now, unless I missed something, I noticed a great deal of black singers, black speakers and so forth.  I have to ask the question, which most likely no one else will ask, because they are scared or fear retribution, which I do not — The question is where were all the WHITE Gospel singers or Christian singers?  Where were all of the great-impassioned white men to speak of Christianity and Love and the greatness of America?  What I saw at Glenn Beck’s rally was nothing more than the largest capitulation to the black race.  Like we White people actually owe them something.  Did not America already do that when Congress signed a law in December of 1865, when the Thirteenth Amendment was ratified?  Did not America already do that in 1964, when the civil rights act was signed into law? Then why is it, that Glenn Beck is using a rally to say to the black community, “we surrender?”  My point is here is this; do we as Americans allow political correctness and a desire to heal wounds that were not even afflicted by any White Americans alive today, cause us to rewrite and surrender the TRUE history of America for the sake of political correctness?

Ladies and Gentleman, we have to be real about this, we cannot go around revising history.  America was not settled and founded by blacks.  American was settled and founded by White Puritan Christians from Great Britain! They were White Puritan Christians who were tired of having to live under the rule of tyranny.  In 1619, America began importing blacks as slaves into the United States of America.  This practice continued in the south until the passage of the thirteenth amendment. Now, do I justify this ugly, awful and elicit activity?  Of course, I do not.  In fact, If I had anything to do with the founding of America I would have entreated to the founders of America, that we could never be a true free Nation as long as Blacks were being held captive against their wills and being forced to labor for the White man.

However, we cannot sit and act like the black race or any other race had any part in the founding of America, because they did not.  Anyone who says anything other than that is feebly trying to revise the true history and the founding of America.

Furthermore, another thing that troubles me about this rally is this, the over Christianizing of the founding of America.  I do realize that the founders of America were men of faith, but to say that America is in fact a Christian Nation, is a mere fallacy.  Most of the founders of America were, what most would call today, “Religious,” but they were hardly “Pew Jumpers.”  Furthermore, I find Glenn Beck’s use of a rally to turn people to God extremely troubling.  Glenn Beck is, as some of you know, a Mormon.  Now in the interest of full disclosure:  I am a Fundamental Baptist — a King James Believing, Independent Fundamentalist Baptist.  I make no bones about it, when I say to you, that I do not believe, for one second, that Mormons are actually Christians.  They are not; they are false believers, who believe in an extremely dangerous religion, which closely resembles another dangerous practice: Free Masonry.  One only need read “The Enchanter” by Jack Chick to learn the dangers of Mormonism.  Further, one only need read this site here, to learn about dangers of the practice of Masonry.

So, to Glenn Back: What is it sir, that you were trying to achieve?  Because this white, libertarian-minded, Conservative is unconvinced.  Further, I found your blatant attempt of Christianizing of the political square, to be sickening.  I believe that Christianity, as well as any other religion, should be kept in the Churches, Synagogues, Mosques or other places of worship —- and not in my face.

BREAKING NEWS:VICTORY FOR GUN OWNERS!: EPA HAS REJECTED THE PETITION TO BAN LEAD AMMO!

Remember that petition that I reported that the EPA was considering?

Well, the word spread rather quickly and the EPA acted accordingly. (H/T HotAir)

The News via NRA-ILA’s Blog:

Responding to a grassroots outcry from gun owners, the Environmental Protection Agency today announced that it has denied a petition by the Center for Biological Diversity and other radical groups that had sought to ban the use of lead in ammunition.

Agreeing with the position of the NRA and the firearms industry, the agency explained in a news release that it “does not have the legal authority to regulate this type of product under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).”  Further crushing the hopes of anti-gun and anti-hunting activists, the release added: “nor is the agency seeking such authority.”

“It’s outrageous that this petition even went this far,” said Chris W. Cox, NRA-ILA Executive Director.  “We applaud the EPA for its understanding of the law and its common sense in this situation — both of which were totally missing in the petition filed by these extreme anti-gun and anti-hunting groups.”

Because the EPA has no power to regulate ammunition, it will not move ahead with a public comment period on the petition.  However, a comment period will remain open until September 15 on the other part of the petition, which asks EPA to ban the use of lead in fishing sinkers.

It is a victory and it is cause for celebration. However, we must always be on our toes for crazy stuff like this. Because liberals know no bounds and they will continue to pull stuff like this.

My thanks to the EPA for acting swiftly and rejecting such a ridiculous petition.

Just Words: Obama thanks the troops

Well, well, what a difference a few years makes.

Here’s Shrimpy McWaffle thanking our troops: (H/T HotAir)

Hmmm, Was it not a few years ago that Obama said this?:

The excellence of our military is unmatched. But as a result of this war, our forces are under pressure as never before. Our National Guard and reserves have half of the equipment they need to respond to emergencies at home and abroad. Retention among West Point graduates is down. Our powers of deterrence and influence around the world are down. That is a cost of this war.

America’s standing has suffered. Our diplomacy has been compromised by a refusal to talk to people we don’t like. Our alliances have been compromised by bluster. Our credibility has been compromised by a faulty case for war. Our moral leadership has been compromised by Abu Ghraib. That is a cost of this war.

Perhaps the saddest irony of the Administration’s cynical use of 9/11 is that the Iraq War has left us less safe than we were before 9/11. Osama bin Ladin and his top lieutenants have rebuilt a new base in Pakistan where they freely train recruits, plot new attacks, and disseminate propaganda. The Taliban is resurgent in Afghanistan. Iran has emerged as the greatest strategic challenge to America in the Middle East in a generation. Violent extremism has increased. Terrorism has increased. All of that is a cost of this war.

John Boehner knows the score on Obama: (H/T again, to HotAir)

Ed Morrissey is hopeful:

Obama does deserve credit, as I wrote earlier, for not snatching defeat from the jaws of victory by implementing his oft-proposed accelerated pullout once in office. In fact, Bush handed Obama a turnkey plan for this drawdown, including the substantial force that still remains in Iraq of almost 50,000 “advisers.” Instead of having all American troops out in 16 months, Obama instead settled for the Bush plan of having American troops out of the cities and out of offensive operations, with a large troop presence to help Baghdad maintain order.

Perhaps Obama will have the grace to admit this when the occasion presents itself next week. If he does, it will reflect well on the current Commander in Chief. If not, Boehner’s video makes the truth obvious anyway.

I got news for you Ed; this guy is such a egomaniac, that he will never give Bush credit for jack crap. Instead, he and Democrats will blame Bush for everything under the sun, including the Economic meltdown; which was the fault of the Democrats. Further more, the Democrats and the far left will continue to bang the drums for Bush and his Administration to be prosecuted for “War Crimes.” Which has been the rallying cry of the far left for eons.

So, while it might be nice to dream that Obama might actually show some class in regards to Iraq. I believe that is about all it will ever be; a pipe dream.

Unbelievable: US Department of Justice halts prosecution of U.S.S. Cole Bomber

I do believe I might have been wrong about this President…..and terrorism. You know, I tried to give this President a break and not take the hardcore stance against him, when it came to this issue —- mainly because of the stupidity around the Birther issue. However, I am really starting to wonder, if that might have just been a tragic mistake. I mean, seriously? Shelve a trial of a sub-human farking animal that killed 17 of our brightest and best serviceman?

The Washington Post reports:

The Obama administration has shelved the planned prosecution of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the alleged coordinator of the Oct. 2000 suicide attack on the USS Cole in Yemen, according to a court filing.

The decision at least temporarily scuttles what was supposed to be the signature trial of a major al-Qaeda figure under a reformed system of military commissions. And it comes practically on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the attack, which killed 17 sailors and wounded dozens when a boat packed with explosives ripped a hole in the side of the warship in the port of Aden.

In a filing this week in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the Justice Department said that “no charges are either pending or contemplated with respect to al-Nashiri in the near future.”

The statement, tucked into a motion to dismiss a petition by Nashiri’s attorneys, suggests that the prospect of further military trials for detainees held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, has all but ground to a halt, much as the administration’s plan to try the accused plotters of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in federal court has stalled.

Only two cases are moving forward at Guantanamo Bay, and both were sworn and referred for trial by the time Obama took office. In January 2009, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates directed the Convening Authority for Military Commissions to stop referring cases for trial, an order that 20 months later has not been rescinded.

Military officials said a team of prosecutors in the Nashiri case has been ready go to trial for some time. And several months ago, military officials seemed confident that Nashiri would be arraigned this summer.

It’s politics at this point,” said one military official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss policy. He said he thinks the administration does not want to proceed against a high-value detainee without some prospect of civilian trials for other major figures at Guantanamo Bay.

A White House official disputed that.

“We are confident that the reformed military commissions are a lawful, fair and effective prosecutorial forum and that the Department of Defense will handle the referrals in an appropriate manner consistent with the interests of justice,” said the official, who also spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The Defense Department issued a statement Thursday saying the case is not stalled. “Prosecutors in the Office of Military Commissions are actively investigating the case against Mr. al-Nashiri and are developing charges against him,” the statement said.

With the 10th anniversary of the Cole bombing approaching on Oct. 12, relatives of those killed in the attack expressed deep frustration with the delay.

“After 10 years, it seems like nobody really cares,” said Gloria Clodfelter, whose 21-year-old son, Kenneth, was killed on the Cole.

In case you have forgotten, these are the names of those killed on the U.S.S. Cole on Oct. 12, 2000: (H/T and thanks to Michelle Malkin)

All because of politics, because he was supposedly “Tortured”. How is it, that sub-human animals like this have more rights than say your average person on the street?

AllahPundit is not impressed one bit:

If, however, the unnamed official quoted is right about the administration’s motives, it confirms what we’ve assumed all along about The One’s tribunal/civilian court protocol: Ain’t nothing but politics. For all his grandiose talk of due process, prosecuting the detainees has always been a game in which he balances the likelihood of conviction with the likelihood of civil-liberties political pageantry. If he can get a guilty verdict in a federal district court so that he can crow about the Constitution, he’ll do that; if he can’t, as is likely in the case of Nashiri, he’ll simply dump the guy in a tribunal so that at least he can crow about the conviction. See? He really is a pragmatist. And speaking of grandiose talk, go read Slublog’s recap of statements Obama made during the campaign — and directly to families of the Cole victims — about not dragging our feet in prosecutions. Just words?

Heck, even a liberal is not impressed; Blogger EmptyWheel over at FireDogLake Blog is not impressed:

Which of course means that our government (though the article suggests this is a distinction between the Bush and Obama Administrations, since Gates–though he spans both Administrations–has not ordered the Convening Authority to start referring cases) has decided it’s okay to try Omar Khadr, who was 15 and arguably acting in self-defense for his alleged crime, in a military commission. But not to try al-Nashiri, at least allegedly a genuine terrorist.

To be fair, the WaPo suggests the Administration is holding off until it can have civilian trials for other High Value Detainees (presumably, still the 9/11 conspirators). So it may well be a supportable goal. But it all seems to add to the Kangaroo stench around the military commissions.

You know, I am just going to say it; and if anyone wants to call me some sort of a right wing extremist, feel free. I just do not give a flying fark at this point. This Administration has got it’s damned head on backwards about terrorism. I mean, U.S.S. Cole? Seriously Guys? This was an obvious case of terrorism and they are going shelve a case; because some idiot got a little water up his nose?  17 people innocent people, who were doing their jobs for the United States Military were killed on a boat and we’re worried about some towel-head getting a fair trial? How damned tone-deaf and stupid can you be?

In Closing: Conservatives and yes even some Republicans have said that the Democratic Party is soft on terrorism; even sympathetic to the terrorist cause. Democrats have denounced this assertion repeatedly in the past. However, now that the Democrats are now in power; it seems that they are ready and even in come cases eager to prove the Republicans and Conservatives to be absolutely correct.

I believe I speak for the good majority of Americans when I say that November 2, 2010 cannot come fast enough. It is time for change. Real Change. American cannot wait much longer.

Come on, the President has got to eat.  He is not fat off of the tax payers money and I and others have been to training around the world and have spent more money then the prices of these meal.  Get a life, why don’t you?  Don’t get mad because the president is eating, wait until he doesn’t something wrong.

Man, and she’s a Catholic student or a teacher. 😯

I just wonder if Our Lady on Lake knows if their staff and students are reading blogs, like mine, on time when their supposed to be studying or working.

Also, Mrs. Real. I got news for you lady, President Shrimpy McWaffle has been “Doesn’t something wrong” since the day he was elected. I mean, His economy policies have been a total failure, the Nation is even MORE divided since we was elected; even more so than when George W. Bush was in the White House. It has been so bad, that now liberals, like you, are now using the last card in their arsenal, the race card.

Having said all that, where’s my dog picture at?

Ah, here it is!

Krauthammer speaks the truth about liberals again

Hey, Me and Mr. Krauthammer must me on the same wavelength! 😀

Anyhow, Krauthammer lays the smack down on the left:

Liberalism under siege is an ugly sight indeed. Just yesterday it was all hope and change and returning power to the people. But the people have proved so disappointing. Their recalcitrance has, in only 19 months, turned the predicted 40-year liberal ascendancy (James Carville) into a full retreat. Ah, the people, the little people, the small-town people, the “bitter” people, as Barack Obama in an unguarded moment once memorably called them, clinging “to guns or religion or” — this part is less remembered — “antipathy toward people who aren’t like them.”

That’s a polite way of saying: clinging to bigotry. And promiscuous charges of bigotry are precisely how our current rulers and their vast media auxiliary react to an obstreperous citizenry that insists on incorrect thinking.

— Resistance to the vast expansion of government power, intrusiveness and debt, as represented by the Tea Party movement? Why, racist resentment toward a black president.

— Disgust and alarm with the federal government’s unwillingness to curb illegal immigration, as crystallized in the Arizona law? Nativism.

— Opposition to the most radical redefinition of marriage in human history, as expressed in Proposition 8 in California? Homophobia.

— Opposition to a 15-story Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero? Islamophobia.

Now we know why the country has become “ungovernable,” last year’s excuse for the Democrats’ failure of governance: Who can possibly govern a nation of racist, nativist, homophobic Islamophobes?

Note what connects these issues. In every one, liberals have lost the argument in the court of public opinion. Majorities — often lopsided majorities — oppose President Obama’s social-democratic agenda (e.g., the stimulus, Obamacare), support the Arizona law, oppose gay marriage and reject a mosque near Ground Zero.

What’s a liberal to do? Pull out the bigotry charge, the trump that preempts debate and gives no credit to the seriousness and substance of the contrary argument. The most venerable of these trumps is, of course, the race card. When the Tea Party arose, a spontaneous, leaderless and perfectly natural (and traditionally American) reaction to the vast expansion of government intrinsic to the president’s proudly proclaimed transformational agenda, the liberal commentariat cast it as a mob of angry white yahoos disguising their antipathy to a black president by cleverly speaking in economic terms.

Then came Arizona and S.B. 1070. It seems impossible for the left to believe that people of good will could hold that: (a) illegal immigration should be illegal, (b) the federal government should not hold border enforcement hostage to comprehensive reform, i.e., amnesty, (c) every country has the right to determine the composition of its immigrant population.

As for Proposition 8, is it so hard to see why people might believe that a single judge overturning the will of 7 million voters is an affront to democracy? And that seeing merit in retaining the structure of the most ancient and fundamental of all social institutions is something other than an alleged hatred of gays — particularly since the opposite-gender requirement has characterized virtually every society in all the millennia until just a few years ago?

And now the mosque near Ground Zero. The intelligentsia is near unanimous that the only possible grounds for opposition is bigotry toward Muslims. This smug attribution of bigotry to two-thirds of the population hinges on the insistence on a complete lack of connection between Islam and radical Islam, a proposition that dovetails perfectly with the Obama administration’s pretense that we are at war with nothing more than “violent extremists” of inscrutable motive and indiscernible belief. Those who reject this as both ridiculous and politically correct (an admitted redundancy) are declared Islamophobes, the ad hominem du jour.

Which is, as I wrote before, why I will never vote for a Democrat ever again. I mean, I just do not sit here and idly write stuff like that; I have tried their liberal programs, and you know what it did for me? Nothing!  I am still sitting here, without a full-time job and writing on this blog. (Which I happen to enjoy greatly, pay could be better, but I love doing it!) The truth is, unless you are a minority, the Democratic Party will basically ignore you. That is because that is what they are geared to anymore.

Truth is, unless you are a minority, or have some sort of handicap; or are someone worthy of entitlement — The Democratic Party is just not your Party.  But if you are White, are middle class, and actually have something that you worked for, the Democrats do not see you as one of theirs; they see you as someone to tax.

As you can see, and as Krauthammer  has written above; the Liberals are in full-on retreat mode now. The Democratic Party elected a black man, of whom they assumed would be the next black, progressive messiah. Who actually turned out to be a bigger buffoon than Jimmy Carter. As you have read here, the liberal economic policies of the Obama Administration have failed. Now, the Democratic Party liberals are in retreat mode, and they are pulling the one card that they have left and that is the race card.

It will be an interesting next few months, watching as the Democrats try and spin this into a race thing and how the Republicans, Glenn Beck and the Tea Party are somehow responsible for the failures of the Obama Administration.

The American people are much smarter than that; and they will show the Democrats just how smart they are, come November 2, 2010 — and believe you me, I cannot wait.

Update: In a previous version of this, in describing the types of entitlements;I mentioned vets. One of my commentators took to me to task on that and rightfully so. I should have been much clearer. If ANYONE is entitled any sort of care, or anything by the United States Government — it is our Military Veterans.  Although, I will be the first to tell you, that Democrats do exploit them for votes. I mean, it is so odd to hear Democrats praising our vets; all the while, you have people like code pink saying that someone’s son deserved to die for going to Iraq. Again, I do apologize for not being clear on that; and again, I will state that I have nothing but the uttermost respect for Nation’s Vets and I believe that they deserve nothing by the best from The Government.

The Latest from White Trashville USA

I am of course, referring to Sarah Palin’s home state and city.

First, Ricky Hollywood says, “I take that back!”:

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin’s grandson, says he wishes he hadn’t apologized for telling lies about the former Alaska governor because he’s “never lied about anything.”

Johnston said in an interview on CBS’ “The Early Show” to air Friday that he wishes that he hadn’t issued the apology to Palin.

“I don’t really regret anything,” Johnston said, who has appeared nude on the cover of Playgirl. “But the only thing I wish I wouldn’t have done is put out that apology ’cause it kind of makes me sound like a liar. And I’ve never lied about anything. So that’s probably the only thing. The rest of the stuff I can live with.”

CBS said the interview was taped Thursday in Los Angeles.

What that idiot will not do to get in the spotlight. 🙄

Next Sarah Palin’s slut daughter to appear on Acting stupidly Dancing with the Stars“:

It’s the Dancing With the Stars casting that no one saw coming!

We can report to you exclusively that Sarah Palin’s 19-year-old daughter Bristol Palin has been cast on the 11th season of DWTS, set to premiere Sept. 20, according to sources.

As for the reports that David Hasselhoff, Audrina Patridge, The Situation and Brandy will also be part of the cast, here’s the deal:

All true, according to sources.

However, from what I’m hearing about those other rumors, Kirstie Alley won’t be there–and neither will anyone of Bachelor or Bachelorette fame (sorry, Ali and Roberto!), unless there are a few last-minute switcheroos.

A rep for ABC says: “We don’t comment on casting rumors. The real Dancing With the Stars cast will be revealed Monday, Aug. 30, live on ABC during Bachelor Pad.”

Great. Now I get to watch some backwoods Alaskan White Trash Bitch MILF cut a rug on National TV.

Like I said, what these two train wrecks will not do, to remain in the spotlight. I guess they learned well from their mother and former mother-in law to be.

It is a sad tragic thing to watch. Hell, even the Palin lovers cannot defend this one; at least not very well.

Speaking of wandering off the plantation: There goes Paul Krugman

WOW! 😯

You would think they would keep those Plantation gates closed and locked!

Krugman Writes:

What will Ben Bernanke, the Fed chairman, say in his big speech Friday in Jackson Hole, Wyo.? Will he hint at new steps to boost the economy? Stay tuned.

But we can safely predict what he and other officials will say about where we are right now: that the economy is continuing to recover, albeit more slowly than they would like. Unfortunately, that’s not true: this isn’t a recovery, in any sense that matters. And policy makers should be doing everything they can to change that fact.

The small sliver of truth in claims of continuing recovery is the fact that G.D.P. is still rising: we’re not in a classic recession, in which everything goes down. But so what?

The important question is whether growth is fast enough to bring down sky-high unemployment. We need about 2.5 percent growth just to keep unemployment from rising, and much faster growth to bring it significantly down.

Yet growth is currently running somewhere between 1 and 2 percent, with a good chance that it will slow even further in the months ahead. Will the economy actually enter a double dip, with G.D.P. shrinking? Who cares? If unemployment rises for the rest of this year, which seems likely, it won’t matter whether the G.D.P. numbers are slightly positive or slightly negative. All of this is obvious. Yet policy makers are in denial.

Countdown to someone within the White House or Democratic Party or within the liberal establishment to holler “RAAAACIST!”

Oh, right, he’s a Democrat. my bad…:
