I posted this, not for some stupid political ploy, not to be clever, but to remind everyone, no matter what your political stripe or conviction or feeling, You are, We are, all Americans. This is our land, and we should, at least once a year, stop and reflect on our freedoms. The freedom to write, the freedom to Pray to whatever God we wish or the freedom to not pray, at all.  The freedom to agree, the freedom of dissent or to disagree, the freedom to assemble or simply the freedom to do nothing at all.

I received some great news this morning in my e-mail inbox. Dancing

Pastor Chuck Baldwin has officially launched his Campaign website.  

I am voting for Chuck Baldwin because he more represents the American values that I, as a Christian, as a Libertarian and as a Constitutionalist, hold very dear.

He might not win, but I will know that my vote went for someone who still believes in the old Paleo-conservative values that I hold dear. I will also know, that my vote did not go to a third term of George W. Bush, a Neo-Conservative, Globalist, Shill or a Socialist, Marxist, Liberal. 

This notion that if you don’t vote for John McCain, that your vote is a vote for Hillary or Obama is the biggest lie and the great travesty ever heaped upon this Nation. Heaped upon it by warmongering bastards who want to send this Nation into a pit that it will never get itself out of.

I ask you today, Libertarian, Constitutionalist, Conservative, Republican, wake up and realize that this Nations only hope, is found in this man.

Romney says he’d take Veep (via Politico.com)

Mitt Romney said in his first interview since departing the GOP race that he would accept the number two position on the ticket and that there is no lingering bitterness between him and John McCain.

Ha! Yeah right…. He acted like an total asshole to McCain and he thinks he’s going to welcome him with open arms? Pleeeeeeese! Rolling Eyes

“I think any Republican leader in this country would be honored to be asked to serve as the vice presidential nominee, myself included," Romney told FOX’s Sean Hannity in a broadcast set to air tonight.  "Of course this is a nation which needs strong leadership. And if the nominee of our party asked you to serve with him, anybody would be honored to receive that call … and to accept it, of course.”

According to two separate reports, Romney is being talked up as a running mate by members of the Bush inner circle.   But McCain and his closest advisers have little regard for their former rival thanks to the bitter, year-long race waged between the two Republicans.

Well, I would guess so! The way he trashed him, I wouldn’t give that rich asshole the time of day. Go back to Utah, Mormon freak! Leave the politics to the grown ups, please, thank you………. Loser

On The Democrats Debate Last Night

Yes, I did watch the debates last night. It did seem like they were less interesting in hurling digs at one another, and more interested in pointing out differences between one another.

They were also interested in pointing out differences between the Democrats and the Republicans, especially on matters of foreign policy. While I think that McCain would be a great President on matters of Morals, and Right to Life and the like, McCain’s Foreign Policy would be a disaster. 100 years in Iraq. You must be kidding.

McCain says he would reign on spending, Funny, didn’t another Republican President Candidate say that back in 2000?!?! Thinking Look what that got us! Doh

Hopefully super Tuesday will select us a nominee and we can get the business of getting a candidate for the White House.

Yeah, I know, you’re wondering why….

I know, you’re most likely wondering why I have not Blogged about the Debates.

Because I am just very disgusted with the whole process. That is why.

John Edwards, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton spent most of the day, which was SUPPOSED to be celebrating the Birthday of a man who stood up for social justice, being civil to one another.

Then all at once, within a one-hour period, all of that civility went out the window.  

Some would say, “Hey, that’s politics.”, Well, you know? I disagree. Just what in the name of the Almighty, is being accomplished by the first African-American and the first Female Presidential candidates sniping over absolutely idiotic nonsense?  

I mean, what kind of image is that sending to the American people? What kind of signal is that sending to aspiring young people interested in Politics? That it is perfectly acceptable to attack someone that you are running against?

Normally, I would, without delay, post the videos of the sniping and comment about it. But that’s what the main stream media is doing. That’s what every political Blogger is doing. They’re a part of the media machine. I’m just not interested in joining the chorus of Bloggers talking about that feckless nonsense.

I am actually scared to death, why? Because I am afraid that people have seen this sniping and they’ve thought, “Why the hell should I vote for those two?” I mean, this would be great thing for Edwards, But we’re on the threshold of making history here and the two damned idiots that are principle players in it are acting like total nincompoops!

Don’t even get me started about Bill Clinton. “Hey Honey, I’m going go out and destroy you’re chances of getting elected!”, He’s another of the feckless ones. Not to mention his falling asleep during Martin Luther Kings III’s speech. More fodder for the media machine, I guess.

I guess I’m supposed to be feeling really good about all this hoopla, so far, Nothing. Nada. No Dice. I’d rather be watching the history channel or something else more productive.

I apologize if you came here thinking that I had some great commentary on the debates, But I just don’t. I just don’t have an impression.

I will say this, if Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton keep up the nonsense, and the Democrats lose, and we end up with John McCain AKA Bush 2.0 or that Mormon freak Mitt Romney in the White House, the Democrats will have no one to blame, but their own selves for it.

So far, color me unimpressed with the Democrats.

  • Dec. 3, 2007 -  a payment of "$300" by the Romney campaign to "Kaufman, Ronald."
  • Oct. 19, 2007 – a payment of  "$100" to "Dutko World Wide."

Editorial: No, It is not a fake

It could never be said that I could be accused of being a water carrier or a cheerleader for this current Presidential Administration.  I am about as close to being a water carrier for the Republican Party as Madalyn Murray O’Hair was a missionary to Christianity.  However, I find myself being greatly offended by those, who actually call themselves American citizens, you know, those on the more Liberal side of the political fence, who claim that they support our troops?

Yesterday, I was looking at my usual source for news stories that are hot in the Blogging world, and I happen to come across a story that basically accuses our Military of lying about producing a video that shows our Military being taunted by Iran’s revolutionary guard.  Frankly, the very idea that our Military personnel would risk their careers to produce fraudulent material for the purpose of political gain is laughable to those of us who live in the real world.  I really do believe that Mr. Hooman Majd should really look into getting a job working for Alex Jones; it could only help his rather flimsy resume.

Not to mention with a last name like that, it is quite obvious which side he has taken in this war on terror that does exist in this country, despite the attempt by the far left to pretend that it does not even exist.  While I am more progressive minded conservative, I find myself increasingly disappointed by the lunatic fringe mentality of the Liberals in this country.  The reason for this, is it makes us more “Middle of the Road” type people look stupid, I mean, I am as disappointed in this President as anyone, but my gosh, has the factual reasoning of the American people as whole collectively gone out the window?

I can hear the screams of the far left, “But look what Bush has done!” and I understand where they are coming from, Yes, our President was wrong, his intelligence people were totally wrong, they have admitted this, time and time again.  However, to sit and accuse the United States Military of aiding and abetting the President in some sort of political scheme is borderline treason, in my humble opinion.

Barack Hussein Obama, Johnny Reid Edwards, and Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton all say that they want to bring change in this Country.  Let me be the first to suggest to these people that the first thing they need to do, is to speak to the far left lunatic fringe within the Democrat Party and tell them to stop dragging our Military into their collective political bitch with the Government.  I can understand the complaints that they have with the politics in Washington D.C., but for the sake of Almighty God, leave our men and women in uniform the hell out of it, please.

My Take on the Debates

On the Republican Side. I really did not see a clear "winner". I think that the barbs back and forth were totally uncalled for. I mean, They are supposed to be debating issues, not name calling and mud slinging. Although the off the cuff comments by McCain to Romney were great. Although, Huckabee needs to just leave Romney alone. I mean, Romney has him beat money-wise like 10 to 1, he could bury him, if he wanted to.

The Republicans really need to thin that herd out. There’s just too many of them.

Ron Paul is an total idiot, he needs to go to the Libertarian Party. I mean, he’s coming off looking like the resident psycho of the group. He hasn’t got a snowball’s chance in Hades, so, why continue? It just makes the party look bad.

Fred Thompson came off as totally unmotivated, I think he’ll be out by this coming Tuesday.

On the Democratic side, the barbs between Hillary and Edwards and Obama and Edwards looked totally staged.

As far as a "winner" on the Democratic side, I think Edwards and Obama looked good. They did hold the "Change" banner up and defended it well, Hillary started out well, but ended up looking like a "screaming meme" at the end. It was all about her bragging about how much experience she has. I think people will pick up on that come time for the vote.

Richardson is a nice man, too nice for this race, I look for him to drop out, come this vote, he’s already laid off staffers.

Huckabee and Obama win in Iowa

 Wow! What a race!

Huckabee and Obama win in Iowa Via Politico:

Mike Huckabee won a convincing victory among Republicans Thursday night, while Democrat Barack Obama posted a narrow and historic win over Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Edwards as Iowans rendered the first  true judgments of the 2008 presidential cycle.

Huckabee was declared the winner at 9 p.m. Eastern time, easily besting Mitt Romney – a storyline that was unthinkable just weeks ago. With 41 percent of precincts reporting, Huckabee led Romney by a 31 to 23 percent margin.

Obama was called the winner just before 9:30 p.m.

Truly this is a political election of change. People are tired of the status quo, and people have voted with change. Huckabee represents that change on the Right and Obama on the Left.

I look for this to be a very interesting race. I look forward to following it.

Of course, Romney remains optimistic:

"Congratulations for the first round to Mike," Romney said on Fox News just before 9 p.m. Romney said that despite the disappointing results, he still felt that he would ultimately "be the one with the nomination”

Translation: Congrads, But I’m still going to win! Hee hee

I have seen on MSNBC and I have read that turn out was doubled this time. Where there were like 80 people in a district in 2004. There were hundreds this time. This is good, it seems that the American people are interested in this Election. This is such a good thing.

I just look forward to the spin that Hillary and the other candidates that didn’t do so well, spin this to their advantage. 

Romney will Stop the Gays….

Today on MSNBC’s Hardball, former senator Jim Talent, now an adviser to Mitt Romney, discussed Romney’s record on gays. Talent maintained that Romney has never been inconsistent on gay rights and has “always” wanted to stop the influence of “the militant gays”:

He’s always had the same position as to regards to the gay agenda. Look, he wants to know people to know he values gay people as people, okay? But he doesn’t want the militant gays to be able to change the cultural institutions of the country.

That is unless he’s gay himself.

I can almost hear the collective scream from the right.

“He’s not gay, he’s married!”

Neither was Larry Craig. He just had a wide stance.
