Not a Surprise, But…: The Obamassiah can’t even attack McCain without fudging the facts.

What a fraud.

FactCheck.org:

Obama released a TV spot saying McCain’s campaign got $2 million from “Big Oil” while McCain proposed “another $4 billion in tax breaks” for the industry.

The truth is that McCain’s campaign has received $1.33 million from individuals employed in the oil and gas industry, not $2 million. Obama himself has received nearly $400,000, according to the most authoritative figures available. We find the $2 million figure is based on a mistaken calculation.

Furthermore, McCain is not proposing new tax breaks specifically targeted to the oil industry. He’s proposing a general reduction in the corporate income tax rate, which Democrats figure would benefit the five largest oil and gas companies by $3.8 billion.

*snort* Never mind the facts, just tell the America people what sounds good!

However, the Obamassiah isn’t a saint either:

Both candidates accept
donations from individual employees of oil companies. In fact, when
Obama claimed in an ad last March that “I don’t take money from oil
companies,” we criticized him for being a little too slick. The CRP puts Obama’s total from oil and gas donors at
$394,465.

So much for Barry’s Honesty in his politics. 🙄

It proves that Barry is a lying, slick, Chicago Politician, who will say and do anything, including deceiving the American people, to get elected. He did it in Chicago and now he is doing it in his White House bid.

A little advice for the Obamassiah, if he wants to preach Hope and Change, he can start by telling the truth. He can also follow that up by knocking off the Al Sharpton imitation in his campaign.

Part 1:

Alexander Solzhenitsyn has died

It seems that the World has lost another great writer.

Via CNN : Alexander Solzhenitsyn has died

Quote:

Russian novelist and historian Alexander Solzhenitsyn, whose works detailed the horrors of Stalin’s Soviet labor camps, has died at 89, Russian news agencies reported Monday.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn addresses parliament in 1994, the year he returned to Russia after two decades in exile.

His son, Stepan Solzhenitsyn, told The Associated Press his father died of heart failure late Sunday at his home near Moscow, Russia.

Awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1970 for “The First Circle,” Alexander Solzhenitsyn was considered a moral voice for Russia. His works centered on issues of good and evil, materialism and salvation.

His three-volume “Gulag Archipelago” unveiled the horrors of the Soviet labor camps, where he himself was imprisoned for eight years.

Even as a child, without any prompting from others, I wanted to be a writer and, indeed, I turned out a good deal of the usual juvenilia,” Solzhenitsyn

Even so, Solzhenitsyn, who served in the Russian Army during World War II, spent much of his life as a mathematician said in a short autobiography written for the Nobel Foundation.

It is truly always sad to hear, when a writer dies. This profession is dying by the way. This man also had the courage to stand up against something that he knew was wrong.

May he rest in peace.

From the “WTF?!?!” File: Illegal Immigrants come to OUR country illegally, and get deported by Hospitals and Illegal Aliens want to BITCH?!?!

This is unbelievable.

NYTimes.com
:

High in the hills of Guatemala, shut inside the one-room house where he spends day and night on a twin bed beneath a seriously outdated calendar, Luis Alberto Jiménez has no idea of the legal battle that swirls around him in the lowlands of Florida.

Shooing away flies and beaming at the tiny, toothless elderly mother who is his sole caregiver, Mr. Jiménez, a knit cap pulled tightly on his head, remains cheerily oblivious that he has come to represent the collision of two deeply flawed American systems, immigration and health care.

Eight years ago, Mr. Jiménez, 35, an illegal immigrant working as a gardener in Stuart, Fla., suffered devastating injuries in a car crash with a drunken Floridian. A community hospital saved his life, twice, and, after failing to find a rehabilitation center willing to accept an uninsured patient, kept him as a ward for years at a cost of $1.5 million.

This story reads like a cheap dime novel. The poor immigrant. The whole dice. I got four words for this one:

Give me a Break and Cry me a river

The facts are in this story is simply this. This young man choose to come our Country in a unlawful manner and was hurt in a accident and became a HUGE burden on our Health care system here in America.

…and you know what? The Hospital took care of business:

What happened next set the stage for a continuing legal battle with nationwide repercussions: Mr. Jiménez was deported — not by the federal government but by the hospital, Martin Memorial. After winning a state court order that would later be declared invalid, Martin Memorial leased an air ambulance for $30,000 and “forcibly returned him to his home country,” as one hospital administrator described it.

As they should have, the story goes on to say that, as this little criminal began to heal up, he began to act like a total ass in the hospital too. All because he was supposedly “Depressed”.

You know, I am just going to tell it like it is here. These filthy illegal immigrants come into our country unlawfully, and then when they’re hurt. They EXPECT us to care for them, and let the AMERICAN PEOPLE foot the bill! That, my dear readers is totally unconscionable.

As a Christian man, I do feel a bit of sympathy for his situation, but I do not have one ounce of sympathy for the fact that he was deported. Because HE DID NOT BELONG IN THIS COUNTRY IN THE FIRST DAMN PLACE!

Nice try by the Communist Liberal New York Times to try a paint a sob story, but this Conservative is not buying it, not one damn bit.

I’ve confirmed that there’s some kind of problem on the Internet, that only seems to affect users of the Internet Explorer 7 web browser. Attempting to browse to many sites results in an ‘Operation Aborted’ error. No information about the problem elsewhere yet … stay tuned.

UPDATE at 8/1/08 7:20:27 pm:

It appears to be related to Sitemeter.com — browsing to their web site with Internet Explorer 7 produces the error too.

Al Qaeda’s #2, Ayman al-Zawahiri Dead?

This would be sweet…

Via The Jawa Report:

Stratfor reports that the United States is attempting to verify rumors coming out of Pakistan that al Qaeda’s #2, Ayman al-Zawahiri, was killed in a July 28 Predator airstrike.

Intelligence sources told The Jawa Report last week that ‘the hunt was on’ in Pakistan for a ‘big fish’. Could this be the big fish they were talking about?

The major — and I mean major — caveat here is that Zawahiri has been rumored to have been killed on a number of previous occasions.

US Forces are said to be going to make an announcement soon about the rumors.

Disgusting: Wal-Mart commits voter intimidation

These people should be prosecuted. 😡

The Story Via Wal-Mart Warns of Democratic Win – WSJ.com

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is mobilizing its store managers and department supervisors around the country to warn that if Democrats win power in November, they’ll likely change federal law to make it easier for workers to unionize companies — including Wal-Mart.

In recent weeks, thousands of Wal-Mart store managers and department heads have been summoned to mandatory meetings at which the retailer stresses the downside for workers if stores were to be unionized.

According to about a dozen Wal-Mart employees who attended such meetings in seven states, Wal-Mart executives claim that employees at unionized stores would have to pay hefty union dues while getting nothing in return, and may have to go on strike without compensation. Also, unionization could mean fewer jobs as labor costs rise.

As a Libertarian, someone who believes in the individual rights of all Americans and as the son of a 31 year veteran of the United Auto Workers. To me, this is nothing more than voter intimidation. Wal-mart is dancing on the legal line here.

Wal-Mart should be investigated and fined, if it is found to be violating the law.

Suspect in Anthrax Case Commits Suicide

Via the LA Times:

Video:

Quote:

A top government scientist who helped the FBI analyze samples from the 2001 anthrax attacks has died in Maryland from an apparent suicide, just as the Justice Department was about to file criminal charges against him for the attacks, the Los Angeles Times has learned.

Bruce E. Ivins, 62, who for the last 18 years worked at the government’s elite biodefense research laboratories at Ft. Detrick, Md., had been informed of his impending prosecution, said people familiar with Ivins, his suspicious death and the FBI investigation.

Let us not forget those who perished in this act of senselessness.

* Bob Stevens, 63, picture editor of the Sun newspaper
* Thomas Morris Jr, 55, Washington
* Joseph Curseen, 47, Washington
* Kathy Nguyen, 61, worked in a New York hospital
* Ottilie Lundgren, 94, lived in a rural community in Connecticut.

I have to honestly say that I am quite sorry that this man died, I was truly hoping that they would catch whomever did this and he would be placed on trial. I guess he was a coward. There is, I believe, a very hot placed reserve for him… IN HELL.

Shocking: Is THIS a sign of things to come in America?

This is a disgrace to the United States of America and our Constitution!

In case anyone wonders. This city and state are controlled by Democrats.

From The Washington Post:

A police SWAT team raided the home of the mayor in the Prince George’s County town of Berwyn Heights on Tuesday, shooting and killing his two dogs, after he brought in a 32-pound package of marijuana that had been delivered to his doorstep, police said.

Mayor Cheye Calvo was not arrested in the raid, which was carried out about 7 p.m. by the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and county police narcotics officers. Prince George’s police spokesman Henry Tippett said yesterday that all the residents of the house — Calvo, his wife and his mother-in-law — are “persons of interest” in the case.

The package was addressed to Calvo’s wife, Trinity Tomsic, said law enforcement officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the case is ongoing.

Tippett said police are working to determine for whom the drugs were meant.

Calvo said yesterday that he did not know how the drugs wound up on his doorstep. He works part time as the mayor and serves as director of expansion for the SEED Foundation, a well-known national nonprofit group that runs urban public boarding schools.

“My government blew through my doors and killed my dogs,” Calvo said. “They thought we were drug dealers, and we were treated as such. I don’t think they really ever considered that we weren’t.”

Calvo described a chaotic scene, in which he — wearing only underwear and socks — and his mother-in-law were handcuffed and interrogated for hours. They were surrounded by the dogs’ carcasses and pools of the dogs’ blood, Calvo said.

Spokesmen for the Sheriff’s Office and Prince George’s police expressed regret yesterday that the mayor’s dogs were killed. But they defended the way the raid was carried out, saying it was proper for a case involving such a large amount of drugs.

Sgt. Mario Ellis, a Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said the deputies who entered Calvo’s home “apparently felt threatened” by the dogs.

“We’re not in the habit of going to homes and shooting peoples’ dogs,” Ellis said. “If we were, there would be a lot more dead dogs around the county.”

Calvo, 37, has been mayor of the 3,000-person town near College Park since 2004. His wife is a finance officer for the state, he said.

The investigation that led police to their house in the 8500 block of Edmonston Road began in Arizona, officials said. There, a police dog at a shipping facility identified the package as being filled with marijuana. Prince George’s officers posed as deliverymen and brought it to Calvo’s home.

Calvo said he came home early from work Tuesday. While walking the dogs, Calvo said, he noticed several black sport-utility vehicles and a woman parked in a car down the street.

“I figured someone was having a party,” he recalled.

It was the police. They were watching, waiting for someone to bring the package into the house.

As Calvo returned to the house, he said, he spotted the large package that his mother-in-law had told a deliveryman to leave on the porch. He placed it on a buffet table near the front door and went upstairs to change.

“I brought it inside because I figured it was something we’d gotten for the garden,” he said.

Moments later, just after he had undressed, Calvo said, he heard his mother-in-law scream that someone was coming toward the house. He looked out his bedroom window and saw officers in SWAT gear running across the lawn.

“I heard a loud crash and then ‘bang, bang, bang,’ ” he said, recalling the sounds of the police shooting the dogs. “I hit the floor.”

As the police came in, Calvo said, they shot his 7-year-old black Labrador retriever, Payton, near the front door and then his 4-year-old dog, Chase, also a black Lab, as the dog ran into a back room. Walking through his house yesterday, Calvo pointed out a bullet hole in the drywall where the younger dog had been shot.

“I understand they have a job to do, but it didn’t have to go like that,” Calvo said. He said the police could have knocked on his door and asked him about the package. “I’ve never done drugs in my life. Anyone who knows me knows that I am so adamantly opposed to them.”

Police said yesterday that, when they seized the package during the raid, it was unopened.

Berwyn Heights Police Chief Patrick Murphy said county police and the Sheriff’s Office had not notified his department of the raid. He said town police could have conducted the search without a SWAT team.

“You can’t tell me the chief of police of a municipality wouldn’t have been able to knock on the door of the mayor of that municipality, gain his confidence and enter the residence,” Murphy said. “It would not have been a necessity to shoot and kill this man’s dogs.”

Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable.

Real Smart McCain, Real Smart…

Is the people that are running John McCain’s campaign just terminally stupid or what?

Via Martin Eisenstadt‘s Blog:

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it seems that the new McCain ad criticizing Obama for being a celebrity has ruffled some unintended feathers. I, for one, quite liked the ad, but I hear whispers from the inner campaign staff that the phone was burning off the hook today with calls from Paris Hilton’s grandfather, William Barron Hilton (co-chair of the Hilton Hotel empire), furious that the McCain ad drew an unflattering comparison between Obama and his own granddaughter.

It seems that the elder Hilton has donated $18,400 to the McCain campaign, and $35,000 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee in the last couple of years. (Paris’s father, Rick Hilton, has given an additional $6,900 to the McCain campaign. Suffice it to say, he’s none too pleased either.)

*snort*

Honestly, are McCain’s staffers even remotely paying attention? 🙄

I look for this ad to disappear, rather quickly, if McCain has any common sense.

Interesting: Did Iraq’s WMD’s end up in Syria and Labanon?

Could be!

This is via WorldNetDaily:

A former American overseer of Iraqi prisons says several dozen inmates who were members of Saddam Hussein’s military and intelligence forces boasted of helping transport weapons of mass destruction to Syria and Lebanon in the three months prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Don Bordenkircher – who served two years as national director of prison and jail operations in Iraq– told WND that about 40 prisoners he spoke with “boasted of being involved in the transport of WMD warheads to Syria.

A smaller number of prisoners, he said, claimed “they knew the locations of the missile hulls buried in Iraq.”

Some of the inmates, Bordenkircher said, “wanted to trade their information for a release from prison and were amenable to showing the locations.”

The prisoners were members of the Iraqi military or civilians assigned to the Iraqi military, often stationed at munitions facilities, according to Bordenkircher. He said he was told the WMDs were shipped by truck into Syria, and some ended up in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley.

I know, WND is not exactly known for their accuracy, but if this is true. We might have more problems on our hands, than we think.

A Local Historical Baseball landmark is being demolished

A Local Detroit landmark is being torn down in this great city.

Historical Tiger Stadium, will be, in a matter of days, nothing more than a memory.

Video: (via the Detroit Free Press)

I can honestly say, I never went to that old ballpark. I guess I just never had the chance. My cousins even went once, on a school trip. But I never made it. Sometimes, I wonder if going would have been better for me. But, that’s all a little late now. The Detroit Tigers are now using Comerica Park, a place that any baseball fan, who’s worth his salt, will tell you, that it lacks the grandeur of the old ballpark.

I guess some things in this city do change. I was really hoping that they would be able to keep that old ballpark, but alas, it is not to happen. 🙁

I could tell you about memories, involving that park. When the Detroit Tigers won the world series in 1984, I could hear the crowd cheering all the way at my house in Southwest Detroit. I was upstairs, studying, that summer, I had work to do, because I didn’t do so hot in school that year. Ever try studying, when half of your city is going crazy? Twas not fun.

Anyhow, it is really sad to see that old stadium go. I shall always remember her.

Shocka! Obama is beginning to believe his own hype….

This could be dangerous for the Obamassiah….

From the Trail:

In his closed door meeting with House Democrats Tuesday night, presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama delivered a real zinger, according to a witness, suggesting that he was beginning to believe his own hype.

Not surprising at all. With statements like this:

Obama was waxing lyrical about last week’s trip to Europe, when he concluded, according to the meeting attendee, “this is the moment, as Nancy [Pelosi] noted, that the world is waiting for.”

and….

The 200,000 souls who thronged to his speech in Berlin came not just for him, he told the enthralled audience of congressional representatives. “I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions,” he said, according to the source.

Meh… Oh, he’s a symbol alright, a symbol of Commie Liberalism. He’s also a symbol of the Unconstitutional Civil Right act signed in 1968, by a bunch of Commie Liberals, who felt it was the Government’s place to interfere with a state issue….and we’ve been paying for the tragic mistake, ever since.

Now Now, let’s not be picking on the ladies……

The NYT does a piece on Women Bloggers. It gets put in the style section, of all places.

I have two favorites. Rachel Lucas and Mary Katharine Ham, both equally excellent writers and both good looking, The kind of good looking, that makes a guy want to get on all fours and bark like a dog, kind of good looking.

Vox Day, however, is unimpressed. He writes:

If a female blogger wants to be taken seriously, it’s not at all difficult:

1. Have at least half a brain and demonstrate that it actually functions by not writing egregiously stupid stuff.

2. At least 75 percent of your posts should have nothing to do with you or your life.

3. Don’t post a picture or talk about your romantic life, your children or your pets.

4. Don’t threaten to quit blogging every time anyone criticizes you.

5. Learn how to defend your positions with facts and logic instead of
passive-aggressive parthian shots fired off as you run away.

Ummm, Vox? Couldn’t some of those be said of Male Bloggings too? 😮

How about:

6. Don’t write books about Christianity Versus Atheists, unless you have some sort of formal theological training

Just sayin’…. 😀

The New York times whines about not having enough graphic war images

You know, I am not a big fan of war myself, But, I couldn’t help by think of the utter hypocrisy of the article by the New York Times.

In essence, the New York Times is whining about not having enough graphic pictures of the war in Iraq.

Quoting a Liberal Photo boy in the NYT:

“It is absolutely censorship,” Mr. Miller said. “I took pictures of something they didn’t like, and they removed me. Deciding what I can and cannot document, I don’t see a clearer definition of censorship.”

This will be continued after the jump… (Warning: the rest contains graphic photos, Not safe for kids!)

German chick sees Obama, goes ga-ga…

Does Michelle know about this?

A few snort worthy quotes:

“Hi, how’s it going?“ asks Obama in his deep voice. My heart beats. “Very good, and you?” I say. Obama replies: “Very good, thank you!”

What? No Halo? Hmmm…

He goes and picks up a pair of 16 kilo
weights and starts curling them with his left and right arms, 30
repetitions on each side. Then, amazingly, he picks up the 32 kilo
weights!
Very slowly he lifts
them, first 10 curls with his right, then 10 with his left. He breathes
deeply in and out and takes a sip of water from his 0,5 litre Evian
bottle.

Oh man, making me moist already… 😛 😆

“My name’s Judith” I reply. “I’m Barack
Obama, nice to meet you!” he says, and puts his arm across my shoulder.
I put my arm around his hip – wow, he didn’t even sweat!
WHAT A MAN!

*snort*

For those wondering… 16 kilos is 78 pounds. 🙄

My thoughts on the aborted Obama visit to the German Hospital

Yes, I have an opinion about this story.

To me, about the only thing that it shows, is a lack of poor judgment by Obama.

To be fair, his Senate staff had already gone home, before the Pentagon called to say that he could not visit as a Presidential Candidate. To some, this suggests that President or his minions tried to interfere. I will not go that far, as I do not believe that the President has an interest at all, in attempting to sabotage Obama’s run for the President. The Pentagon was simply following procedure and most likely was attempting to spare Obama a embarrassing situation.

Further more, I think the right in trying to use this, as some sort of way of discrediting Obama, like McCain, is only going to backfire and make McCain look like a jerk to the general public.

Democrat’s Senate Energy Bill flops, because of Democrat Stupidity

This does not surprise me in the least, as I have often said, we need to close the Enron loophole AND increase production.

Via Reuters:

Quote:

Legislation to rein in excessive energy speculation failed a key procedural vote on Friday to move forward in the Senate, and now lawmakers will set aside the bill to consider other legislation.

The House of Representatives may take up its own anti-speculation bill next week, and then lawmakers will get
ready to leave for their month-long recess in August.
Sixty "yes" votes were required in the 100-member Senate for the bill to move forward, but the measure received only 50 "yes" votes, while 43 lawmakers opposed.

Senate Democrats said the legislation was needed to give the government new powers to curb speculators, whom many lawmakers accused of being behind the run-up in crude oil and gasoline prices.

So, why did the Democrats shelve this very important bill? Because they wanted to end the speculation WITHOUT loosening the tight regulations of drilling for oil, that’s why! 🙄

Quote:

Senate Republicans strongly opposed the bill because it focused only on speculation, and they argued the legislation should be modified to also boost U.S. oil production by allowing more offshore drilling and developing vast oil shale fields in the West.

Republicans said tight petroleum supplies that were unable to keep up with demand were the cause of high energy prices.

"Americans are insisting we do more. They want us to do something to cut the price of gas and lessen our dependence on Middle East oil," said Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell.

"And so I ask my friends (Democrats) on the other side the same simple question I asked them yesterday: If you won’t act now, with dialysis patients cutting back on treatments because of high gas prices, when will you? What is it going to take?" McConnell said.

However, instead telling the truth about the elitist, limousine Democrats, who really do not care if the gas of prices tops 5 to 8 dollars a gallon, instead scary Harry Reid, The idiot Mormon piece of crap, says this, spinning the pointed head top that he is..:

Quote:

"Republicans once again have run away from an opportunity to provide a short-term solution to our energy crisis," Reid said. "While Democrats have worked to stop greedy speculators who artificially inflate oil prices, Republicans have chosen to protect them.

Leave it to the idiot Democrats, to stall the wheels of progress and prevent relief at the pump, because they want to regulate everything so damned tightly. As, of all people, Howard Stern put it, "They’re nothing but damned commies."

Amen, Howard, they are commies. They’re also commies who do not like to be criticized as well. It seems that Scary Harry Reid got a little hot under the collar over the way the press was covering him. Two words for that feckless Mormon piece of garbage; TOUGH SHIT!

Do you NOW see why I left the "Left of Center" position?!?!?!?!

My thoughts on Obama in Berlin Germany

Okay, Here are my thoughts on Barack’s speech and about him being overseas.

First off, I don’t know how many readers of Hotair.com come over here and read my Blog. But in case you didn’t notice, I left early from Ed’s Show today. Why? Here’s why, okay?… and just hear me out. I’m just getting tired of it all. I’m getting tired of listening to Conservatives and their lame ass bullshit. What am I talking about? The sifting through Obama’s speeches to see if he contradicts himself. The constant lame ass mocking of his campaign. The very idiotic attempt to paint him as something that he isn’t. First it was that he was some sort of psudo-Muslim, Then it was a communist, then it was an elitist. It is all just stupid nonsense. In fact, I’ve just taken the sidebar ad off, with the link to the two sites, the one, that is run by pissed off Democrats and Hillary supporters and the other run by a Conservative, that makes a bunch of totally unproven accusations against Obama.

My biggest question to those who take some sort of warped pleasure in doing this is, have you people bothered to stop and look at how lame and stupid John McCain is making the Republican Party look? I know, Obama has made some gaffes, but has anyone bothered to check out how many gaffes McCain has made? The are just about equal, if not more.

As for what Barack did in Germany, I watched what little the drive by media showed. There were 200 thousand people there, and not the very little that was said over on Ed’s Show. The man, quite frankly, kicked some serious ass. He has upstaged John McCain and made him look like an out of touch old fool. The argument by the Conservatives that what he did was reserved for Presidents is quite frankly non-sequitur. Obama is not only running for President of the United States of America, he is running for the position of the leader of the damn free world. The quicker the Conservatives figure this out, the better off they will be. The problem is that the Republicans are more interested in droning the same ol’ lame assed, stale talking points, over and over and over and over, to the point sounding like someone with a bad case of tourettes syndrome.

I guess what I am a bit dismayed over, is the fact that talking points have become more popular than substance in this election, especially by the Republicans and Conservatives. It just gets old. I am just getting tired of the same stuff everyday. Nothing original, nothing new, just stale talking points.

I think that the best thing that the Republican Party and the Conservatives as a whole can do, is to accept the fact that John McCain is going to lose this election and get in the mode of working towards 2012. I mean, what the hell can John McCain run on?? He has zero credentials with the Economy or how to handle it. The war in Iraq is a big issue, but this economy is a much broader issue. It just seems that the more McCain tries to tout his leadership credentials, the more of buffoon he appears to be.

I’m saying all this because, quite frankly, I am just tapped out. I need a break from this headline chasing. So, tomorrow, unless some earth shattering headline demands me to write. I will be taking the day to just relax and not try and do this political opinion crap. I also may take the entire weekend off. I really need it. Because at this point, this whole blogging thing is quite frankly, starting to suck really bad.

What REALLY happened on Obama’s visit to Afghanistan

This, an e-mail from someone in the USAF, It comes via Blackfive, where you can read the whole thing.

Quote:

As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand, he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.

Unbelievable. Tammi says she’s not voting for him, and I know I will not be either.

Faux Liberal Outrage Number 350,435,987

Here we go again….. Remember that statement that McCain made yesterday? The one where he spoke the gritty truth about the Marxist magic negro running for President?

Now it is seems that the Obama worshiping jackass Joe Klein is having a commie liberal meltdown over it.

Quote:

This is the ninth presidential campaign I’ve covered. I can’t remember a more scurrilous statement by a major party candidate. It smacks of desperation. It renews questions about whether McCain has the right temperament for the presidency. How sad.

Sorry Joe, but for once, John McCain spoke the truth about that empty suit, commie liberal negro running for President.

I guess after feeling the heat, Joe comes back and leaves a rather lame update to his article:

Quote:

The reality is that neither Barack Obama nor Nouri al-Maliki nor most anybody else believes that the Iraq war can be “lost” at this point. The reality is that no matter who is elected President, we are looking at a residual U.S. force of 30-50,000 by 2011 (a year ahead of the previous schedule). The reality is that McCain should be proud that he helped salvage a disastrous situation by pushing the counterinsurgency plan. It’s something to run on. But, at this point, McCain must sense that it’s not a winning hand. Obama, the poker player, has drawn to an inside straight: the Iraqis favor his plan over McCain’s long-term bases. That must be galling. But it’s no excuse to pop off the way McCain did. It was, shockingly, unpresidential.

UnPresidential? UnPresidential?!?! UnPresidential?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I suppose going over to Iraq on a basic Dog and Pony show with faked interviews is Presidential?

I suppose not being able to admit that the Surge has actually WORKED is Presidential?

I suppose his continual flip-flipping on everything under the damn sun, is Presidential?

I suppose Obamas ever expanding list of Gaffes are Presidential?

Hell, if that’s Presidential man, just appoint a damn dictator and get it the hell over with, because, quite frankly, I would rather live under the rule of a communist dictator, than to have to live with the closet Communist negro President that is a bigger bumbling idiot that the current one we have in there now.

Another reason why I cannot STAND President George W. Bush

Look for this to be the next big story.

Update: Video was Pulled head on over to the Site and watch the video.

Update #2: Here’s a snippet of it:

The Basic Transcript:

It is uncertain, there’s no question about it.

Wall Street got drunk, it got drunk, (it’s one of the reasons I asked you to turn off your tv cameras.) It got drunk and now it’s got a hangover. The question is how long will it sober up, and not try to do all these fancy financial instruments.

And now we got a housing issue, not in Houston, and evidently, not in Dallas, because Laura was over there trying to buy a house today. (laugher.. Crawford!)

I like Crawford, unfortunately after eight years of asking her to sacrifice, I’m now no longer the decision maker. She’ll be deciding, thanks for the suggestion! I suggest you don’t yell it out when she’s here. Later, telling her “Hey honey, we’ve been on government pay now for 14 years… so go slow!”

It’s uh.. caused me to lose my train of thought. Anyway.

As a caveat, the cameras were supposed to be off, but obviously, a tape was rolling. But still it speaks to the Political tone deafness of the President. He is yucking it up, while people are losing their houses and while people are dying, because of a pointless and undeclared war in Iraq. Yes, I know, the surge has worked, but still to the general populous of America, this just looks bad. This also could possibly hurt McCain in the long run, because I have sneaky suspicion that the 527’s and possibly Obama campaign might use a video like this, to do a hit job on McCain. In a attempt to try and push McCain closer to Bush.

For once, John McCain grows a pair and speaks the truth about Obama…

It is about damn time.

Video: (H/T to AP @ HotAir.com)

About time he spoke the truth. Maybe if he did some more of that, instead of the stupid bumbling bullshit, he calls campaigning, he MIGHT just win the election! 😀

Obama admits the surge worked….

Via Marc Ambinder

Couric: But talking microcosmically, did the surge, the addition of 30,000 additional troops … help the situation in Iraq?

Obama: Katie, as … you’ve asked me three different times, and I have said repeatedly that there is no doubt that our troops helped to reduce violence. There’s no doubt.

Couric: But yet you’re saying … given what you know now, you still wouldn’t support it … so I’m just trying to understand this.

Obama: Because … it’s pretty straightforward. By us putting $10 billion to $12 billion a month, $200 billion, that’s money that could have gone into Afghanistan. Those additional troops could have gone into Afghanistan. That money also could have been used to shore up a declining economic situation in the United States. That money could have been applied to having a serious energy security plan so that we were reducing our demand on oil, which is helping to fund the insurgents in many countries. So those are all factors that would be taken into consideration in my decision– to deal with a specific tactic or strategy inside of Iraq.

Couric: And I really don’t mean to belabor this, Senator, because I’m really, I’m trying … to figure out your position. Do you think the level of security in Iraq …

Obama: Yes.

Couric … would exist today without the surge?

Obama: Katie, I have no idea what would have happened had we applied my approach, which was to put more pressure on the Iraqis to arrive at a political reconciliation. So this is all hypotheticals. What I can say is that there’s no doubt that our U.S. troops have contributed to a reduction of violence in Iraq. I said that– not just today, not just yesterday, but I’ve said that– previously. What that doesn’t change is that we’ve got to have a different strategic approach if we’re going to make America as safe as possible.

Why can’t this idiot just admit that the fucking surge worked and that he was wrong?

What an asshole!

The again, we are talking about Obama.
