Lol. So you didn’t print my comment? What a prissy little wimp you are.

If you’re such a big, tough anti-jihadi warrior, why don’t you join the Army? Or better still, borrow some money from your mom, fly to Pakistan, catch a bus to Afghanistan and go after them yourself?

I thought not, chickenshit. Why did you shave off the beard? It was a perfect cocksucker’s doormat.

That’s from Australia. One of our supposed Allies on the war on terror.Ā As if. šŸ™„

Rocket Launcher Found In Apartment, and the Government does nothing about it

If this does not make your blood boil nothing will:

HOUSTON — Police went to a southwest Houston apartment to break up a disturbance but ended up finding something else, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday.

rocket launcher

A woman called police on Monday and said a man was forcing his way into her apartment in the 5300 block of Elm Street.

When officers went inside, they found something that made them concerned enough to call the bomb squad.

They found an AT-4 shoulder-mounted rocket launcher. It can shoot a missile nearly 1,000 feet through buildings and tanks.

“It gives infantrymen the advantage with an ultra-light weapon that can stop vehicles, armored vehicles as well as main battle tanks and fortifications,” said Oscar Saldivar of Top Brass Military and Tactical on the North Freeway.

That type of rocket launcher has been used in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The renter of the apartment didn’t want to talk to KPRC Local 2.

“This is my house,” the woman said. ” Get away from here. I don’t want to talk to nobody.”

You want to know why this totally pisses me off? I will tell you why. Have these idiots noticed that there was an attempted terrorist attack on Christmas Eve? Further more, there is another reason; it is called political correctness. Had this been a white man, just fresh out of the United States Military, the Government would have been all over this one. But because it was some turban-wearing fuck, who most likely was a Jihadist; he gets off with just local charge of Breaking and Entering. Oh yes, we would not want to offend CAIR, now would we?

I will tell you all this; if there is another major terrorists attack in this Country, it will be because of the inane stupidity of the Government officals on all levels; City, State and Federal. The Democrats will not be able to pin it on Bush anymore; this is their baby now. They will have no one to blame —– but themselves.

Update:The Idiocy of the TSA – Subpoenas dropped!

They are now targeting Bloggers.

Via AP:

WASHINGTON – As the government reviews how an alleged terrorist was able to bring a bomb onto a U.S.-bound plane and try to blow it up on Christmas Day, the Transportation Security Administration is going after bloggers who wrote about a directive to increase security after the incident.

TSA special agents served subpoenas to travel bloggers Steve Frischling and Chris Elliott, demanding that they reveal who leaked the security directive to them. The government says the directive was not supposed to be disclosed to the public.

Frischling said he met with two TSA special agents Tuesday night at his Connecticut home for about three hours and again on Wednesday morning when he was forced to hand over his lap top computer. Frischling said the agents threatened to interfere with his contract to write a blog for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines if he didn’t cooperate and provide the name of the person who leaked the memo.

“It literally showed up in my box,” Frischling told The Associated Press. “I do not know who it came from.” He said he provided the agents a signed statement to that effect.

In a Dec. 29 posting on his blog, Elliott said he had told the TSA agents at his house that he would call his lawyer and get back to them. Elliott said late Wednesday he could not comment until the legal issues had been resolved.

The TSA declined to say how many people were subpoenaed.

Nothing says Government incompetence better than targeting a bloggers who leak a document making the TSA look like a bunch of fools. I also notice that the Socialist Democrats are not happy about it either. I do not know why, as it is they who elected and instituted this large Government mess that we now have, they should be pleased that the Government is doing its imperialistic job. The way I see it, you vote for big Government, then don’t gripe when that big Government overreaches.

Update: Reader Jeff passes on the info that the subpoenas have been dropped!

For Once, I actually agree with William Kristol

Egad, when an American Conservative like me, and a warmongering Wilsonian Conservative, like Bill Kristol are actually agreeing. You know stuff is fudged up in the Country:

Unable to defend themselves on the merits, the administration and Democratic leaders are trying to change the topic to blaming Bush and Republicans. This is pathetic.

First of all, Obama is president. He has been for almost a year. Whatever mistakes Bush did or didn’t make, Obama is in charge — and the issue isn’t partisan score-settling, it’s whether the system he is in charge of is working. It isn’t.

One reason the system isn’t is some of the people he put in charge — Janet Napolitano and Dennis Blair come to mind. Another reason is certain concrete policy choices they’ve made — e.g., embracing a law enforcement approach and, without even weighing the choice, immediately choosing to treat Abdulmutallab as a criminal suspect, not an enemy combatant.

via The Weekly Standard.

Go read the rest. It is very good….and yes, I agree with it all.

Obama promised change, and change he might be able to deliver, like mending the long standing rift between the Paleo-Conservatives and the notorious Neo-Conservatives. Yeah, I know, not everyone would go along with it. But it would be some, dare I say it? Progress!??! (In the Republican Party? GASP!) šŸ˜‰

Update: Socialist liberals use Detroit attempted Terrorist attack to sound the horn to cut and run

As skeptical as I am; these morons are just pure bat shit crazy:

What is needed now are not partisan fights about whether the Obama Administration was doing enough to guard against terrorist attacks in the wake of shootings last month at Fort Hood, Texas. Instead, we should question whether our overreaction to the crimes against humanity on 9/11–including the creation of an endless “war” against terrorism–has done more to undermine our security than enhance it. American safety will be better ensured through common-sense counterterrorism and homeland defense measures, including extensive intelligence cooperation expert police work and border control.

via Are US Wars Fueling Domestic Terrorist Threats?– The Nation.

Oh yes,Katrina, let’s just cut and run and stop trying to fight the war on terror — so, that Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan can regroup and come back stronger. Not only in the Afghanistan region, but also in Yemen and other regions as well. What a pathetic bitch.Ā šŸ™„Ā What more living proof do we need, that the Socialist Far-Left Liberal Democrats are nothing more than terrorist sympathizers? Which is why I will never vote for them again, ever. Give me a politico that gives a flying flip about National Security, please. Not some terrorist coddling asshat.

Oh, and… Police Work. Police work?!?!?!? That is another little bitch and gripe that I have with the Socialist Liberal Democrats. They see some Negro Muslim terrorist, who tried to blow up a damned plane, most likely at sixty thousand feet over my damned house, as nothing more than some common criminal thug. Sorry Liberals, this stupid idiot negro terrorist, was an non-uniform combatant. He should be at Gitmo. Actually, he should be strung from a damned tree! 😔 But, I digress.

There is much hubbub about why the system to failed. There is also news that the Government knew about this dude, and did nothing at all. All of the media outlets; including Fox News are asking, “why?” Hello! It does not take a damned rocket scientist to figure that little problem out. It is the elephant in the room, that nobody and I mean NOBODY wants to talk about.Ā Has anyone else in the world bothered to notice the skin color of this terrorist suspect? Uh, Duh. He is a black person. Our President is also a black person. One plus one usually equals two! It seems that nobody is either willing or even possibly able to make that connection. Our Government officials new about this guy and knew that plans were being made; but they did not do anything about it. Why? I will tell you why! Because they knew, that if they acted upon this little piece of evidence, that it would possibly upset the President; because the mean ol’ United States Government was picking on some poor young black man — of whom the the white man oppressed and the Government did nothing about it for so many years. I mean, if you were employed by the NSA or CIA and you were aware of this situation, would you want to risk angering a black President, who was all down with “The Struggle”(tm)? I think you all know what I mean.

There is your answer, the reason this piece of intelligence slipped by, was the same reason the Ft. Hood shooter went by, unstopped. political correctness gone horribly bad.

Update: It seems that my resident gay stalker from Grand Rapids does not like what I wrote. Sorry fag boy, but some of us, do not have our heads stuck up the socialist Democratic Party’s “P.S. Police” ass; Unlike you. Because of this, some of us can see things for what they really are. Unlike some men with homosexual tendencies.

2009 Worst Political Decade Ever?

I present two videos; the first by reason magazine, which is a very funny take on the past 10 years. Which comes via HotAir.com, who has a poll up with this decade versus a few other notable decades:

The second video comes via Jack Hunter, who video blogs over at the American Conservative. Here Jack lays out a very compelling case for the fact that starting with George H.W. Bush, continuing with Bill Clinton and finally with George W. Bush; the entire big government, got even bigger:

As Jack says, and yet, conservatives are now griping about Barack Obama’s big government agenda. However, it is to be said, that Jack Hunter does point out the hypocrisy of the Democrats, when it comes to the wars. They were, in fact, loudly condemning of Bush’s Wars, but now, they’re all but silent. (Except for a few… and I mean very few…)

One point that I will offer a rebuttal to, is Jack’s point that Bush touted a more peaceful Foreign Policy, when he ran back in 2000. Jack points out that this suddenly changed after 9/11. What he fails to realize is this; on September 11, 2001, the game changed. Terrorists slammed two planes into the World Trade Centers, one plane into the Pentagon, and one plane that was headed to the White House; ended up in a field in Pennsylvania.Ā As someone who had a terrorist almost blow up a plane near my house. I can fully understand why this game changed. However, because I am not a overly partisan blogger, I will say this; I do fully realize that Iraq, in hindsight was, in fact, a mistake. I have yet for anyone at all, to convince me otherwise, that Iraq was a direct threat to our Republic. I personally believe it was because of this massive screw up of the Bush Administration, that Afghanistan is now possibly a lost cause, and why Al-Qaeda is now attacking us once again. If I were Jack and those who agree with him; I would be watching the Yemen situation very closely. Because I tend to believe that Yemen is going to become Obama’s war, especially if he does not root out that Al-Qaeda group there.

As a fiscal Conservative; I must say that I wholeheartedly agree with Jack’s assessment of the G.O.P. and Republican establishment’s hypocrisy on spending; the same very people that are bitching to high heaven about Obama’s spending, were all but silent during the eight years of George W. Bush and his reckless drunken sailor like spending, which was primarily on a war in a country that really, when you get down to it, had zero to do with 9/11.Ā But, yet, you have Bloggers, who are pro-war, bitching about Obama’s socialist agenda and take over of health care, plus his screwing of the economy into the ground. My question is, where were these people back in Bush’s day? Oh, that’s right, partisanship —- Which is such a horrible disease.

In fact, just here the other day; I was ripped by a “so-called” Conservative blogger, because I went to his blog and left a rather nasty message about Obama, because I was quite pissed off about his handling of the attempted terrorist act here at the airport, which is less than 10 miles from my house. (I also e-mailed him and apologized for it too..)Ā This man goes out of his way to rat me out, and offers to give my damned IP address to anyone that wants it. But yet, on that same blog, he does the rather unfunny Osama/Obama joke on his blog. He removed it, presumably after one his readers bitched at him about it, but just the same, this idiot is going to bitch at me for being a ‘so-called’ racist and he does the same thing? That is hypocrisy and I think he knows that, because it was changed, I wish I had screen capped it and posted it here. But, I didn’t. Also, one of his commenters proceeded to give out my real name and drudge up crap that happened years ago. She also went out of her way to say that I, according to her, criticized the right more than the left. Which is, of course, stupid. I have pointed out stupid stuff on the far right and I will continue to do so; as much as I criticize the left.Ā My point that I am trying to make is this here. Just as much as I am not drinking the idiotic socialist Kool-Aid of the Democrats; I am also not drinking the idiotic Kool-Aid of the far right either, I consider myself to me a critical, or dare I say it? A free-thinker.

I will admit, that I am a supporter of the United States Military; but I will the first to admit, that I beginning to be very skeptical of the war in Afghanistan; and I will go out of my way to say that this is NOT the fault of the United States military. It never was, it is the fault of the jackasses in Washington D.C. who could not define a damned military mission, if their lives depended on it.Ā This is nothing new, it was the same way during the Bush Administration, much worse in fact. The problem is, our lives do depend on it. Al-Qaeda is still a damned threat and what does Obama do? Gives a half-assed speech as to the fact, that the governmentĀ is on it. Yeah, uh-huh, sure. You mean, like the Government has been on the hunt of Osama Bin Laden for the last damned eight years? I call B.S. people, big time.

So, to those who come here and think this is a far right, rabid Conservative Blog. Be forewarned; my criticism and skepticism of Government and politics; and those who engage in that profession, is NOT on a partisan basis. I am quite bi-partisan on my criticisms. This blog has always been that way, and always will be.

Updated: Symphony of stupid: Terrorism continues to be a threat, Politicians play blame games

I do not always agree with him on the finer points of Conservatism; but my friend Ed Morrissey scored a nice catch here. Seems that our attempted plane bomber fiend has friends:

American officials have cause to worry there may be more al Qaeda-trained young men in Yemen planning to bring down American jets.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, charged with the attempted Christmas Day bombing of Northwest Airlines flight 253, told FBI agents there were more just like him in Yemen who would strike soon.

And in a tape released four days before the attempted destruction of the Detroit-bound Northwest plane, the leader of al Qaeda in Yemen boasted of what was planned for Americans, saying, “We are carrying a bomb to hit the enemies of God.”

Yemen has become a principal al Qaeda training ground and the accused suicide bomber told the FBI he was trained for more than a month in Yemen, given 80 grams of a high explosive cleverly sewn into his underpants, undetected by standard security screening.

This comes on the heels of another lovely piece of news, that Mr. Plane Bomber might have had some help:

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – Dutch military police are investigating the possibility that an accomplice may have helped the Nigerian man accused of trying to blow up a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day, a spokesman said on Monday.

A U.S. couple on the flight, Kurt and Lori Haskell, told Reuters and other news agencies that they saw a tall, well-dressed man aged about 50 with the suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab on Friday morning at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

The Haskells have claimed the man spoke for Abdulmutallab and attempted to get him aboard Northwest flight 253 without a passport.

“At this moment we have no information on whether there was another guy,” the military police spokesman said. “We are checking all clues and information we get.”

In light of all this, is this the best that the Democrats and Republicans can do in Congress? Sit and blame one another? Lame response folks, lame, lame, lame, response. Oh yes, lets play the idiotic and childish blame game on each other, while tens of millions of lives are at stake. No wonder the American people have turned against this Congress and this President; because they are too damned busy trying to blame others, instead of trying to fix the damned problem in the first place!

The elections of 2010 and 2012 cannot come fast enough; because it is quite obvious that this Congress and this President are more interested in playing politics with terrorism, just like the last President did during his tenure in office and the American people, present company included, are sick and tired of the damn political shell games. Al-Qaeda is a serious threat to the United States of America’s National Security, and we need more than just Washington D.C. Politics of blaming one another, we need action and we need it now, before some plane is blown up over my damned house in Lincoln Park, Michigan, which is about 10 miles from the Detroit Metro Airport. Having said all that, to Congress and the President and his Cabinet — Enough of the god damned political games people. I want to be secure in living this house by the airport. I do not care who is to blame for what. I just want it fixed and I wanted it fixed now, please. Thank you.

I swear, there are days, when I believe that I am blogging about schoolchildren!

Update: Al-Qaeda has taken responsibility for the attempted attack. Here is a google translated view of the page. Not the best of good enough to give you an idea.

The foiled terror attack, what it really means

This little article has been festering in my brain all day today. I finally believe that I might have enough here to really convey a thought or two. The recent information on the foiled terror attack here in Detroit is quite startling. First off, it is being reported that the terrorist’s father had notified the U.S. Government that his son was becoming ever increasingly radical in his Muslim beliefs. Second, the United States Government knew about this person for over two years and was either unable or unwilling to do anything about it.

This is a glaringly obvious deduction that anyone, with any kind of common sense and reasoning should realize, and that is that the United States Government cannot and will not totally protect the American people from a terrorist attack. The only people that can prevent such an event from happening, is the American people themselves. This is one instance when the ā€œNanny Stateā€ just does not work. A perfect example of this is the person that prevented this horrific act of cowardice from taking place. His name is Jasper Schuringa and he is not even an American. Jasper knew that it was either the terrorist or him; and he acted accordingly. Jasper deserves the highest of honors from our Government that is because he did, what our President has not seem interested in doing, and that is to tell the terrorists that the battle is on and that are willing and able to fight them in any capacity that is required to defeat them. Jasper did not wait for the big ā€œNanny Stateā€ government to do their job; he simply took care of business and for that, he should be commended. To any progressives reading this — I am sorry, but dithering around on the issue of Afghanistan is not what I consider leadership. By dithering, I mean delaying the increase needed in troops and then not sending the number of troops asked for, by the commanders on the ground. That is not leadership — that is a sad joke, which sums up this President in a phrase.

Another thought is this; for all of the errors in the thinking of the Libertarians and their idiotic Party, they do have one thing right, and that is that these terror attacks are result of war. As along as the United States of America has forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, there will be these sorts of attacks on our soil. The problem is that the libertarians believe that we should just pull out of the Afghanistan war and admit defeat. This would be grave error on the part of our Government, it would prove to Al-Qaeda that the United States is weak and can be easily defeated. If anything; at this point, the United States should step up its attacks on the hiding places of the Al-Qaeda terrorists in Afghanistan and other places abroad. Ronald Reagan believed in peace through strength, and the United States should continue that policy now, by not allowing these wretched terrorists win the battle. We should do this by making these Islamic thugs lives a living hell and chase them to the ends of the earth, as President George W. Bush pledged to do in the days after 9/11.

The United States of America has a rich history of defending the homeland, and we should continue that traditions until these turban-wearing thugs are thoroughly defeated and victory is realized.

The Chutzpah of Think Progress

Seems that Think Progress has a great deal of Chutzpah this morning. Accusing Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-MI) of politicizing the attempted terrorist attack here in Detroit.Ā One only need to look at the archives of Think Progress to see how they and the rest of the Democratic Party politicized the Hurricanes Katrina and Rita during the Presidency of George W. Bush.

Now, you say, “Well, that was different!” and to that I ask you, “How so?” Is liberal Democratic organization like the Center of American Progress politicizing a natural disaster any better, than a Republican Representative supposedly politicizing a terrorist attack? The answer is, no. They are both wrong. But, yet, the liberals believe that they are right, because they’re defending the current socialist President.

Think Progress has much Chutzpah, after how they accused President Bush of some of the most outlandish crap back after the hurricane; including the Hollywood crowd and the Music people saying that Bush hated black people and so forth. The truth of the matter is that the CITY and STATE Government failed, not the Federal Government. It was after the droning of the Liberal WHINE, that the federal Government had to step in and take over.

I mean, does anyone remember THIS picture?

Those were buses, buses that could have been used by the city to get people out of the area. But did Ray Nagin do that; no, he sat on his ass and did not use them and then blamed Bush and Co. in Washington D.C. for not coming to the rescue.

So, much Chutzpah on the part of the liberals to even dare to complain about politizing of anything at all. As they have done the same very thing themselves.

I wonder what Lew Rockwell would say about this case?

Sad case, but, another case of the police having to use lethal force to stop someone from killing many people.

The Story via VCSTAR.COM: (H/T Dan)

Oxnard police shot and killed the 46-year-old driver of a propane truck Wednesday outside a McDonald’s restaurant after a chase in which the suspect knocked over a motorcycle officer and rammed numerous vehicles, including police cars, authorities said.

The chase began at Wooley Road and Victoria Avenue in Oxnard about 1 p.m. after the driver refused an officer’s request to pull over, Oxnard Police Department spokesman David Keith said. Police today identified him as an Oxnard resident, but declined to release his name until family could be located.

At times during the chase, police backed off, giving the driver plenty of room because he was hauling propane, a highly explosive and flammable gas.

But police resumed the chase after the driver rammed several vehicles with the truck, Keith said.

The chase ended in the parking lot of a shopping center at Ventura Road and Fifth Street next to a McDonald’s.

Keith said the driver rammed several more vehicles in the parking lot. Fearing for their safety and that of the public, police fired numerous rounds into the cab of the truck, killing the driver.

The white truck sat in the parking lot throughout the afternoon and early evening as a crowd of onlookers gathered nearby.

Dozens of police cars were parked along Ventura Road and in the parking lot as investigators interviewed witnesses and gathered evidence. A sheriff’s helicopter hovered over the scene.

Oxnard Police Department Cmdr. Tom Chronister told The Associated Press the truck driver’s boss had alerted police that his employee was driving under the influence and acting irrationally. Other drivers also called police to report the man was driving recklessly.

The driver worked for AAA Propane in Oxnard. Owner John Simpson declined to say anything about the incident on Wednesday beyond a prepared statement: ā€œEveryone here at AAA Propane is shocked and saddened by this event. Until we learn additional information, we will be unable to make additional comments at this time.ā€

During the chase, a motorcycle officer was knocked to the ground.

Keith said Wednesday evening that none of the police officers sustained serious injuries. Police found no weapons in the truck, where the body remained until a coroner arrived.

Now Lew Rockwell would say, that the man shot here was the victim. Which we all know is stupid; like most of the libertarian left.Ā I dare say, that this stupid idiot got just what was coming to him. Must have been a liberal; because no sane rational person or Conservative would do something like this. He was a liberal or a stupid person; but I digress.

Updated: Jane Hamsher should be an inspiration for Bloggers everywhere

Yes, I know, Jane and I most likely agree on politics as much as Billy Graham and Madelyn Murray O’Hair agreed on Christianity. However, I have to admit, even as a ā€œRight of Centerā€ blogger; there is something to be said about someone standing up for what it is that this person believes in — even when, that what she believes in, is counter to what her political party is trying to do. I mean, the DailyKos is going after Jane for standing up against this HealthCare Bill.

Yes, I know, Jane is a progressive and, yes, I am a ā€œright of center.ā€ I used to be over on that side, albeit I was about as ā€œhalf assedā€ as Democratic voter as one could get, but I digress; and I know how ā€œtolerantā€ that side can be to people, who somehow manages to wander off the plantation. Yes, I am a Moderate Conservative; but let me tell you this, more importantly, I believe in being true to ones self. I believe in not allowing ones self to become bogged down by the worries of what other people might actually think of ones self, when one decides that the leadership of ones party is just damned wrong.

I will be e-mailing this Blog posting to Jane; and I do hope like hell, that she does read it, and possibly responds to it on her blog. Jane, you are one hell of a brave woman, you keep standing up for what you believe in. In the end, it will have been worth it and you will know that you were true to what you believe in and did not follow the crowd. Individualism is a awesome trait and do not allow those bastard collectivists tell you any different!

Consider me someone who is supporting Jane in her right to stand up to the leadership of the Democratic Party. Although, I am not sure she would want to hear it from this corner.

With that, I present this video:

Update: I wrote Jane to tell her about this posting and she replied! here’s the reply:

Thanks Patrick, I appreciate it. I may not have time to respond on the blog — I’ve got some stuff happening that’s a bit time consuming at the moment — but I did read the post and liked it a lot.

The Republican Party’s Resident Dumb Ass, is also a ‘Welfare Queen”

Now, why am I not surprised? šŸ™„

I never could stand her, at all. She has the same voice as a shrieking harpy of a young lady, that I used to go to school with, has just about the same intelligence level as her too:

Michele Bachmann has become well known for her anti-government tea-bagger antics, protesting health care reform and every other government ā€œhandoutā€ as socialism. What her followers probably don’t know is that Rep. Bachmann is, to use that anti-government slur, something of a welfare queen. That’s right, the anti-government insurrectionist has taken more than a quarter-million dollars in government handouts thanks to corrupt farming subsidies she has been collecting for at least a decade.

via Michelle Bachman: Welfare Queen – Truthdig.

She is not the only one, Glenn Thush over at The Politico reports:

Bachmann isn’t alone in her selective socialism: EWG found that the top four districts receiving the largest ag payments are represented by conservative Republicans.

1. 3rd district of Nebraska (Rep. Adrian Smith – Republican) – $1,736,923,011 in subsidies go to 51,702 recipients.

2. 1st district of Kansas (Rep. Jerry Moran – Republican) – $1,315,979,151 in subsidies go to 75,802 recipients.

3. 4th district of Iowa (Rep. Tom Latham – Republican) – $1,288,622,912 in subsidies go to 35,696 recipients.

4. 9th district of Texas (Rep. Randy Neugebauer – Republican) – $1,227,192,312 in subsidies go to 21,290 recipients.

Please, let’s clean up our own backyards before we start pointing out the faults of the other side.

Parker Griffith defects to the GOP

Some good news in the midst of all the bad news out of Washington D.C.:

POLITICO has learned that Rep. Parker Griffith, a freshman Democrat from Alabama, will announce today that he’s switching parties to become a Republican.

According to two senior GOP aides familiar with the decision, the announcement will take place this afternoon in Griffith's district in northern Alabama.

Griffith’s party switch comes on the eve of a pivotal congressional health care vote and will send a jolt through a Democratic House Caucus that has already been unnerved by the recent retirements of a handful of members who, like Griffith, hail from districts that offer prime pickup opportunities for the GOP in 2010.

The switch represents a coup for the House Republican leadership, which had been courting Griffith since he publicly criticized the Democratic leadership in the wake of raucous town halls during the summer.

via Exclusive: Rep. Parker Griffith switches to GOP – – POLITICO.com.

Ed Morrissey has good analysis here on this one, head on over and read it. Personally, I believe that this is a sign that the writing is on the wall for this party. The era of Blue-Dog Democrats is over, you are either in the tank with the far-left progressives or you are out in the cold. While this might seem to be good strategy for the far-left; some are just not into the far-left progressiveness of Pelosi and Co. Some are saying that this is not a good sign on the left. It would mean the era of hope and change is cracking up. Which, in this writers opinion is a good thing.

The Republicans have zero right to complain about abuse of power

I must admit that for the first time, since my journey began into political blogging has began, much less, Conservative political blogging; I am divided on an issue. While I believe that what the Democrats are doing with the healthcare bill, with the protecting parts of the bill from being overturned is wrong. I also believe that the Republicans have zero right to complain.

This is what I mean

Let us not kid ourselves folks; The Bush Administration sold America using some very deceptive means, into a war in Iraq. The intelligence was bad; the Bush Administration knew this and did not care. They were determined to strike Saddam Hussein. So, while I am sympathetic towards the Republicans on this issue, I feel they have zero right to complain about this one, as it was the Republicans who backed the imperialistic actions of President Bush.

Quote of the Day

Harkin, chairman of the Senate health committee, followed Baucus to the floor to explain why he added the provision that would help Iowa (and “a few other states”). “I don’t see anything wrong with that,” Harkin said. “I make no bones about having put that in there.”

Dodd, at a news conference, offered the dubious argument that the hospital provision he offered is “competitive” and could be won by another state, “although my state is very interested.”

But what about those who wouldn’t get the goodies? Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) walked away with little to show for her politically difficult vote.

“That’s what legislation is all about: It’s the art of compromise,” Reid said when asked about the fairness of it all. “So this legislation is no different than the defense bill we just spent $600 billion on.” That would be the bill with more than 1,700 pet-project earmarks. “It’s no different than other pieces of legislation,” Reid continued.

And that’s just the problem.

Video: Robert Welch ‘Solutions to problems in the Government’

The last time I posted anything related to the John Birch Society on this Blog; my hits just about went off the charts. My servers had smoke rolling out of them and I could have sworn that I heard that said server yelping a bit in agony. Okay, the second part was not true. Nevertheless, there were a good deal of people, that were very highly interested in that video; and this was before this blog really even took off.

This is Robert Welch, he was the founder of the John Birch Society. Contrary to what people like, Rachel Maddow might think; the JBS is not what the liberals and some Conservatives like to think that it is. Here is Mr. Welch giving a speech in 1974 telling of the goals of the Society. Now, honestly, where have you heard this stuff before? If you said Ron Paul in 2008, you get a gold star, if you say the majority of Conservatives TODAY; you get another big gold star. As old as this video is; its contents are timely, considering the mess that we are in today.

The second group of videos are a reposting of some videos that I have posted here before and a few new ones. The first is the actual story John Birch, the second is the founder of the JBS giving a outline of what the JBS is truly all about. The rest are various related to the subject at hand. Some are dated, some, are quite timely.

Updated: Pajama’s Media does a hit piece on Detroit – PJTV Allows racist comments on thier site

I hate to be the one to write this article; but it is time that someone called this group of people out on their intellectual dishonesty. As most of you know, I live in the Detroit, Michigan area. I was born and raised on the southwest side of Detroit. When someone engages in dishonesty, all to make a cheap political point, as a citizen of this state and as someone who grew up in Detroit, I have to speak out against it.

It appears that the Jewish owned and pseudo-Conservative —- Pajama’s Media has stooped to the level of yellow journalism. Now first off, let me say this; I happen to agree with the premise of the video, that Democratic politics has contributed to the decline of the city of Detroit, this is nothing new. In fact, that decline goes back to the days of the former Mayor Coleman A. Young. What bothered me is the impression that the video conveys; that ALL of Detroit and surrounding area is like what is presented in that video. It also bothered me that the makers of this video used selective filming locations to prove their silly political points. In addition, they never bothered to contact me, at all. I could have given them a more honest assessment of the area and showed them more than they covered. However, they were not interested in honesty; they were interested in making a cheap political point.

I now fully see why Charles Johnson of little green footballs fame, bailed on this company back in 2006. While again, I am, as much as anyone else on the right, am against socialism. Nevertheless, to engage in this rather juvenile dishonesty is just beyond the pail.

Click the picture and watch as a group of Neo-Conservatives slam the city of Detroit. If this does not disgust you, something is wrong.

Update: ….and of course, Turban Boy over at HotAir just had to post the damn video. Asshole. 😔

Update #2: From the comments section of the video:

Anonymous – 3 hours agoDec. 22, 2009 6:52 AM PST

You ignored the elephant in the middle of the room. The population of Detroit is 82% black. The schools didn’t fail, the students failed. Ozzie and Harriet didn’t ravage the city, Jamal and Latisha did. When the refugees from New Orleans settled in other places, they brought a crime wave with them. In Detroit they drove out the decent people and mostly refuse is left. All you say about Leftists and unions is true, but without factoring in the huge element of race, your analysis is meaningless. Drop the PC and try again.
Wow….Just wow. 😯 😮

Democrats pass another hurdle towards nationalized healthcare

I really do not have much to add to this story, as I have written on it before and my personal feelings are well known. I will say this; the Democrats own this Healthcare debate now. The democrats have successfully rammed this bill down the throat of the American people —- and now they own it. I mean, voting at 1:00a.m., to insure its passage. It is a disgrace and the Democrats now own it. That means, no more blaming Bush, no more blaming Republicans, No more calling us who opposed this idiotic idea Racists, Tea Baggers, and whatever else the socialists call us. This is their baby now; we made our voices heard and they ignored us, and now, they own it.

They own it and they will own it come 2010 and 2012, they also will own it, when the bill goes into effect in 2014 and Medicare cuts begin and the folks begin to complain. When the folks begin to complain, we that opposed it will have one thing to say. You voted for that socialist President and Congress; now deal with the consequences!

Now, do I believe it will actually make it to the President’s desk? I have no idea, at this point. Nevertheless, it looks like it might. If it does, we, (meaning us bloggers) will continue to Blog against the socialist agenda of the President and this Congress. One can always hope that it will not or even Pray, if that is what you believe in. But at this point, I think what we as Conservatives and ā€œRight of centerā€ types, can do at this point is get our houses in order and stand behind those who are running on the Republican ticket and come 2010 do that which will stop the socialist nonsense; and that is vote.

Obama Police State? -Black D.C. Cop pulls a Gun, at people who pelted his hummer with Snowballs

I am a simple school bus driver. Here is a conversation I heard. Last year we had an Iranian girl who loudly proclaimed, when the school was in its Patriotic Songs Celebration (“This Land Is Your Land,” etc.): “I am not an American, I am a Muslim.”

This was done on the bus so all could hear.

This is what they feel, deep down. They don’t think like us, they lie without compunction, they want us dead or out of the way, because they are not fools like the Propositional Nationalists.

They know what a country really is; it is its land and resources. As long as we are here, we’re in their way.

I am stunned at the stupidity of our leaders. Either they go to war in a place like Kosovo and learn nothing about it and why it became the way it did, or they are biding their time until full scale civil war breaks out in the USA, so martial law can be enforced and their power grows exponentially.

Personally, I think the latter will be the case.

When will Americans rise up?

Update: Oops! My bad, it was a D.C. cop, notĀ Chicago Cop. My Apologies to the Chicago Police Dept.

Update #2: Admittedly, these people were wrong for tossing snowballs at a car, but pulling a gun? That’s a bit extreme. Also, calling a Police Officer a “Pig” is very disrespectful. But, again, pulling a gun like this was wrong.

Quote of the Day

The real entitlements are never mentioned. The ā€œdefenseā€ budget is an entitlement for the military-security complex about which President Eisenhower warned us 50 years ago. A person has to be crazy to believe that the United States, ā€œthe world’s only superpower,ā€ protected by oceans on its East and West and by puppet states on its North and South, needs a ā€œdefenseā€ budget larger than the military spending of the rest of the world combined.

The military budget is nothing but an entitlement for the military-security complex. To hide this fact, the entitlement is disguised as protection against ā€œenemiesā€ and passed through the Pentagon.

I say cut out the middleman and simply allocate a percentage of the federal budget to the military-security complex. This way we won’t have to concoct reasons for invading other countries and go to war in order for the military-security complex to get its entitlement. It would be a lot cheaper just to give them the money outright, and it would save a lot of lives and grief at home and abroad.

The U.S. invasion of Iraq had nothing whatsoever to do with American national interests. It had to do with armaments profits and with eliminating an obstacle to Israeli territorial expansion. The cost of the war, aside from the $3 trillion, was over 4,000 dead Americans, over 30,000 wounded and maimed Americans, tens of thousands of broken American marriages and lost careers, 1 million dead Iraqis, 4 million displaced Iraqis and a destroyed country.

All of this was done for the profits of the military-security complex and to make paranoid Israel, armed with 200 nuclear weapons, feel ā€œsecure.ā€

My proposal would make the military-security complex even more wealthym as the companies would get the money without having to produce the weapons. Instead, all the money could go for multimillion dollar bonuses and dividend payouts to shareholders. No one, at home or abroad, would have to be killed, and the taxpayer would be better off.

The Huffington Post links to Moi?

Color me shocked and quite amazed. 😯

I guess my posting on Laura Ingraham and Bill O’Reilly having an On-The-Air spat was noticed by Huffpo and they even linked here.

Wow. 😮

I would have much preferred a direct quote or something. But hey, it’s free traffic and I will take it, when I can get it.

I guess that marble-mouthed woman that runs that site ain’t so bad after all. She’d be much better, if she’d take an English course; but I digress.

Now, if Glenn Beck would just notice me, I’d be living on easy street. šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜›

Obama says, ā€˜Less Talk, More Action!’

I really hate to be the one to mock the President, but when Mr.’ Magic One’, does stuff like this; it is quite hard not to.

This story from the politico is quite amusing:

COPENHAGEN — A visibly angry Barack Obama threw down the gauntlet at China and other developing nations Friday, declaring that the time has come “not to talk but to act” on climate change.

Emerging from a multinational meeting boycotted by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Obama warned delegates that U.S. offers of funding for poor nations would remain on the table ā€œif and only ifā€ developing nations, including China, agreed to international monitoring of their greenhouse gas emissions.

“I have to be honest, as the world watches us … I think our ability to take collective action is in doubt and it hangs in the balance,ā€ Obama told the COP-15 plenary session as hope fadedĀ for anything more than a vague political agreement.

ā€œThe time for talk is over, this is the bottom line: We can embrace this accord, take a substantial step forward. We can do that, and everyone who is in this room will be part of an historic endeavor, or we can choose delay,ā€ he said.

Here is the video:

The problem here is that the President looks and sounds more like a spoiled rotten brat, who is obviously not getting his way with the World Community on Global Warming. Since the outing of the e-mails by the global warming fanatics, which show an obvious attempt to cover up data, it appears that the rest of the world is just not signing on to this idiotic nonsense. The only thing that the President of the United States is accomplishing is making the United States of America look like egotistical idiots. Before anyone brings it up in the comments section; Yes, I know, Bush did much of the same thing, during the Iraq War, I criticized him for it as well.

I will be honest with you; I am all for caring for the planet and keep the environment clean. The problem I have with it is that the science data is incomplete; further, the entire environment issue and the global warming issue became politicized; which essentially caused the issue to become the liberal environment groups against the rich business owners. In essence, the entire issue became a class warfare battle and I believe that it never should have become that at all and this sort of elitist foot stomping by the President is living proof of that assertion.

In short, the President is wasting the American people’s time and tax money, by going to this idiotic summit and trying to exert his will upon these other Country. Because it has become is obvious to me, that these other Countries are just not on board with this far-left zealotry to supposedly save the planet. This browbeating of the other nations, in all honesty is not actually going to save our planet, but rather line the pockets of the investors, like Al Gore, who are invested heavily in this global warming issue. The President simply needs to cut his losses, chalk his global warming front as a loss, much like his other fronts; and move on.
