Seriously Dan, is this the best you have?

The dude disagrees with Megan McCain and the best this moron can do is mock her damned weight? 😡

How fucking Juvenile can you be? 🙄

This is the same asshole, who offered up my IP address to anyone who wanted it; all because I said something about Obama, that he deemed racist. But the very next day publishes the very unfunny and quite racist “OSAMA-OBAMA’ moniker on his own damned blog. He removed it, after I said something about it. I wish I had screen capped it, but I didn’t.

This is the stupidity that I refer to in my Blog’s subtitle at the top.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Dan Riehl.

For the Record, I agree with Megan McCain

Click here to watch the video.

  1. Sarah Palin’s calling out of Obama’s adviser and then defending of Rush Limbaugh is just plain hypocritical. Period, end of farking story.
  2. I agree with Megan’s comments on Tom Tencredo’s remarks. I’ve written about that here, here and here.

Although, I will say this; the liberal’s mocking of her is quite silly to watch, here’s an example: (H/T Pam G)

Although, I will say this. —- Pam, if you happen to read this; going after Ron Reagan, about his own dad like that was a bit classless. Let’s not play their game. They (being the liberals in general…) are idiots, we both know that. But doing what you did on there only makes us look bad. Let’s not stoke the talking points furnace no more than we absolutely have to. Okay? I admit, I am not much of a Palin fan, at all. But the left is making themselves look like morons for bashing her. Leave the bashing stuff for the liberals on Palin. Bashing someone because of who his daddy was, is just wrong. I can see why it pissed off Ron Reagan. I just wouldn’t have went there, that’s all. I’m just saying.

I doubt very highly that she would even read that, much less heed my advice. But I thought I’d mention it.

Tea Party Candidates Target, Ron Paul?

I start this entry out with a very funny quote by AllahPundit:

I’m officially confused.

Heh! What else is new? I kid, I kid! Allah’s a good ol’ fellow, when he’s asleep. 😉 He would be an even BETTER fellow, if he would link to me, once in a stinkin’ while. But alas, I was placed on the blacklist over something that happened eons ago, back when I was on the wrong side of the political fence. All I will say about it is, I thought Catholic Churches taught the doctrine of forgiveness? So much for that, I suppose. 🙄 It amazes me, that those who toot their horns the loudest about being Christians, and decry the immorality of the Liberals; are the ones who act like it the least. Just sayin’ AP, Just saying. (I’m saying all this, because I know damned well he reads the trackback links. I also know he knows what I am referring to, as does Ed…. and besides, traffic’s low around here, I need to start something! 😉 )

Anyhow, Filipino Conservative political hacks aside; ( 😯 )  I am referring to this story in the Dallas Morning News, that has some telling news about the Ron Paul’s chances of getting reelected in light of the Tea Party Movement:

Paul, the Gulf Coast congressman whose 2008 presidential run excited libertarians nationwide, even though he didn’t get much traction overall, is considered by many to be the “father of the Tea Parties.” But he has three opponents in the March Republican primary – more than he has faced in his past six primary campaigns combined…

John Gay, Paul’s third opponent, said he has attended several Tea Parties and related meetings. Both Wall, a machine supervisor, and Graney, a former small-business owner, have helped organize local rallies.

Tea Party associations aside, many of the challengers’ criticisms echo concerns of Paul’s past opponents: that he is too focused on his national ambitions; that his views are too extreme; that he doesn’t support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; that he votes “no” on everything, including federal aid for his district after Hurricane Ike.

“The word I keep hearing is ‘ineffective,’ ” said Gay, a school business administrator. “This district is not really being represented as it could be.”

AllahPundit does not understand why they’re targeting him. Well, It could be that Paul voted against Hurricane assistance after Ike hit down there in Taxes.

A couple of other things come to mind as well. First off, I believe people in his district and elsewhere are just sick and tired of his political grandstanding. Ron Paul just tends to say no; for the sake of saying no. Which is not exactly representing the people of his district. Also two, I believe of his district are just not happy with his stance on the war on terror. Paul and his Paleo-Conservative ilk are one’s who side with the left, that mostly believes that America itself is the result of terrorism and that, I am very sorry to say, is an asinine charge of the highest order. Al-Qaeda has a long standing beef with us, because of our support of Israel. Something that the Paleo-Conservative right hates, because a good ninety-nine percent of them are antisemitic. Not to mention racist. This is why the “Taft Wing” of the Republican Party was called out by people like William F. Buckley Jr. and most of them were either sidelined or changed their views.

I said this in the comments section over at R.S. McCain’s Blog and I will write it here. If Tom Tencredo’s screed against Blacks, Jews and other minorities is going to be co-oped by the Tea Parties and also by the G.O.P.; you can count me among the people that will not be voting for any Republicans come 2012. I voted Libertarian in 2008 and I can, and well again, if need be.  I would think that seeing there is a Black Man as the chairman of the G.O.P., that the Republican Party would take a hardcore stance against such stuff. But then again, Michael Steel is the chairman. If you know what I mean, and I think you do!

Anyhow, Paul district election should be quite interesting, and it is a sign of things to come here in November! I just cannot wait, because I just know there is going to be some major upsets come November.

Obama’s unknown supporter who died revealed

As you all know, Obama spoke of a supporter, who succumbed to Cancer. Well, he could not remember her name and predictably, my fellow Conservatives mocked Obama and insinuated that he was lying about it.

Well, here she is:

Dear MoveOn member,

Earlier this week, we received incredibly sad news. Melanie Shouse, a devoted MoveOn Council leader in St. Louis and tireless health care advocate, passed away after a battle with breast cancer.

Melanie was a true fighter. While she was involved in many issues with MoveOn, she always said health care was her heart—and even after treatments began, she came to every single health care rally, speaking out about the injustices she was suffering under our broken health care system.

Melanie’s story is a painful reminder of why we need to fight as hard as we can to get real health care reform passed, now.

Our friends at TrueMajority are gathering messages of condolence to deliver to Melanie’s family this weekend. The email they sent is below. To add your message, just click this link.

http://www.truemajority.org/MelanieShouse/moveon

Thanks for all that you do.

–Kat, Keauna, Ilya, Lenore, and the rest of the team

Melanie Shouse has died.

Melanie was a small business owner from Missouri battling stage four breast cancer, who also had to fight with insurance companies who didn’t want to pay for her treatment. She didn’t take that lying down—she spoke out, she protested, she became a leader in the movement for a more just health care system. Maybe you remember the video thank-you she sent to you and other TrueMajority members last October for being part of that movement.1

The cancer took Melanie’s life last week. To her family, we can only express our deepest regret and sympathy. If you’d like to send your sympathy as well, you can sign our guest book, and we’ll deliver your messages to the family this weekend.

http://www.truemajority.org/MelanieShouse/moveon

We’re sorry we didn’t get health care reform done sooner. Sorry that insurance coverage isn’t more affordable and accessible for millions of Americans who need it. Mostly, we’re sorry to lose our friend.

But Melanie would not have wanted us to stop fighting for reform. In fact, she asked that those attending her memorial service wear their activist t-shirts. So tomorrow, in lieu of flowers, let’s deliver our condolences, put on a campaign t-shirt and remember why we fight and who we are fighting for.

Shame on my fellow Conservatives for not getting the full story, before going to press.

UPDATED – Tom Tancredo calls for the bringing back of Jim Crow Era Laws, insults Jews

This is just totally unbelievable:

(I apologize in advance for the video source… But it was the only place I could find it)

Video:

Here are some of highlights of the this racist, antisemitic speech:

Tancredo: Every year, the liberal Dems and the RINO Republicans turned up the temperature ever so slightly. It seemed after awhile that we’d all be boiled to death in a cauldron of the nanny state.

And then something really odd happened — mostly because we do not have a civics literacy test before people can vote in this country.

[Applause]

People who cannot even spell the word “vote,” or say it in English — [applause] — put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House. Name is Barack Hussein Obama.

You mean like my WHITE Father, who is 63 years old and has only an 8th Grade education and does not spell very well at all? Who did vote for Obama and his voted Democrat all of his life? No wonder this idiot was eliminated from the Republican primaries early on. I love my father, but I disagree with his politics. I voted for Bob Barr, and my dad respects that. But this racist antisemitic jack ass did not stop there. He went after something else, or group I should say. Jewish people!

If McCain had been elected, the neocons would be writing flattering editorials in the Weekly Standard and the Wall Street Journal. Congressman Gutierrez and President McCain would have been posing in the Rose Garden with big smiles as they received accolades from La Raza for having finally passed an amnesty.

For those who do not get it; Neo-Con is code word for JEWS. Has been with the Paleo-Conservative right and with the Far Left since Bush was elected. Those NEO-CONS! Why didn’t he just come out and say JEWS? Because he is a coward; like Ron Paul, Like Pat Buchanan and the rest of those Jew-Hating bastards, who want to blame the Jews for everything that is wrong with this Country. David Duke would be proud! In fact, here is Duke’s video, essentially saying the same damned thing:

Do you see much difference? Neither do I. 🙄

Shame on that Tea Party Nation for hosting this racist, Antisemitic bastard. If the Republican Party thinks that embracing idiots like this guy is going to help their cause; they are going to be in for a wake up call come election 2010. Because I can tell you right now, I will NOT vote for someone that supports a person like Tom Tancredo. Not at all. Racism and Antisemitism is morally wrong and should not be in the mainstream in politics at all.

Update: For the first time in my Blogging career, I can honestly say that Keith Olbermann is 100% correct here:

Because this is not about illegal immigrants with Tom Tancredo, this is about protecting the white race. Against the Jews, against Blacks and against those who would dare pierce the white establishment in this Country. This is why I side with those who are of sane mind, and call this hatemonger for what he is. I am shocked that my follow bloggers on my side of asle are not more enraged about this, as I am. It speaks of the Conservative Movement and its unwillingness to take a stand against hate speech.

Liberals finally figure out that President Obama is not a middle class person

Well, they are a little slow:

Here is a fact: Barack Obama has trouble generating enthusiasm among white working class voters. That’s not because they are white. He would have had trouble winning support among black working class voters if they had been unable to identify with him because he was black. He has trouble with working class voters because he appears to them as coming from a different world, a different realm of experience, a different class, if you like. And that’s because he does.

I have recently read several stories about Obama that treat these difficulties as if they were paradoxical. The latest is from The Washington Post. “Despite his roots,” the article is headlined, “Obama struggles to show he’s connected to middle class.” And the story—which seems to use middle class, working class, and blue collar interchangeably—describes his supposedly non-elitist roots as follows: “He turned down high-paying jobs after graduating from Harvard Law School and became a community organizer, compelled by the experience of growing up with a single mother who sometimes lived on food stamps. He married a woman from a working-class family on the South Side of Chicago, and they rented a walk-up condominium in Hyde Park.”

The first thing to note about this description is that, like many accounts I have read of Obama’s life, it gets its facts wrong. He didn’t become a community organizer after graduating from Harvard Law School, but after graduating from Columbia. He left community organizing to attend Harvard Law School. After graduating from law school, he joined a prestigious Chicago law firm with offices just off Michigan Avenue. In 1991, he began teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago. He was chair of a Chicago branch of the Annenberg Foundation. Obama’s wife, who admittedly did grow up working-class, nevertheless graduated from Princeton and Harvard Law School. And Hyde Park is a pricey upper-middle-class section of Chicago.

Who wrote this? A Republican? A Conservative? Nope. A card-carrying Marxist.  Here is his profile on Wikipedia. This guy is about as left wing as it gets. When the Marxists are saying that Obama is a rich, out of touch, elitist, then it is a good sign that he just might be that.

Of course, I knew this; hell, every damned Conservative and Republican Blogger knew this since the time that Obama shot forward in the primaries in 2007. However, there is a broader point that I believe some Bloggers are missing here and I guess I will have to be the one to say this. Most politicians are not your typical, “Lay in the gutter”, lower middle class bums, who have never done anything in life. Most politicians, Liberal and Conservative, are successful people, who have actually made something of themselves, and actually worked for what money they have. In other words, it was not given to them by the Government; like the Marxists think it should be.

I might grudge President Obama for many things, his sissified stance on Terrorism, his disastrous domestic policy, and so on. But there is one thing that I will never grudge him for, and that is the that he actually went to school and became a lawyer. I have no gripes with the fact that the man is financially well off. There are those who might, and they have their point, I suppose. But I do not fault a man, who is successful, that is a socialist mentality. Which is against the wealthy or successful man. I used to think like that; but no longer. I figure if a man is successful at something, God Bless him for it. That is the American dream and I find no fault in anyone who is a success at what they do.

Quote of the Day

History will record that these remarks from his State of the Union address were the only case legendary barrister Barack Obama ever argued before the Supreme Court. And he lost.

Even when presented with a short, straightforward, simply stated question by Rep. Mike Pence, Obama couldn’t help but to formulate a different question.

Pence asked: “Mr. President, will you consider supporting across-the-board tax relief, as President Kennedy did?”

The question Obama wanted Pence to ask was: Mr. President, will you join Republicans in cutting taxes of billionaires?

Luckily, Obama’s reformulation gave him an opening for a killer answer: “What you may consider across-the-board tax cuts could be, for example, greater tax cuts for people who are making a billion dollars. I may not agree to a tax cut for Warren Buffett.”

Republicans should take that answer and run like a thief in the night! OK, let’s cut taxes on everyone except billionaires. I’d even support a specific tax expressly on Warren Buffett. Now, son, how much will you give us for these magic beans?

If only Republicans could maneuver Obama into answering a question on abortion, we could probably get him to agree to ban all abortions –– except in the case of teenage girls who have been raped by their fathers. (This is how I assume Obama would rephrase the question.)

No conservative argues like this. To the contrary, we’re morose that Nexis archives are not more complete, so we can’t quote liberals directly more often.

Jon Steward does the O’Reilly Factor

I posted part of this last night. Here is a the complete interview, both parts.

Update: I would remiss, if I did not quote this:

That’s a cute point he makes about the progression (or non-progression) from Richard Reid to Abdulmutallab over the course of eight years, but what about Madrid, the London bombings, or even the NYC subway plot that was busted in September? He’s either awfully ill informed or awfully glib about the severity of the threat. Two: Laying aside his bizarre shrugging at nuclear proliferation among jihadist states, in which dimension of reality did he discover that Iran is reliably, conclusively, indubitably “self-preservationist”? Given the regime’s intent on maintaining its own power at all costs, including by murdering protesters, there’s no reason to think it wouldn’t do something rash if it felt that power slipping from its fingers. What does it have to lose by firing a missile at Israel under those circumstances?

That is coming from someone, that was, not somewhere in Mid-America when the twin towers were hit; but like within a mile of the towers, when the planes went in. Many people do not get AllahPundit. I do, and this posting here, will help you understand him as well. I remember being scared out of my mind, when I got the news, that there was a plane on the way to the White House, that plane was flight 93. I could never even begin to imagine the horror of it being in my own town. Closest thing is the failed Detroit terrorist attack. I give AllahPundit, for all of his stuff that I do not agree with; mad props for being brave enough to stand up and say this sort of a thing and for continuing to Blog against Terrorism, and Jihad, despite being threatened. Good Job my friend and keep it up.

Video: The Reality Report

This comes from Restore the Republic.

In this edition of the Reality Report Gary Franchi covers a story on the banker bailout payback extension, a victory over socialized healthcare in Virginia, a story on the new facial recognition hardware that could be headed to your local police station. Footage from the Lewis burglary is shown with exclusive footage from the new film “Don’t Tread On Me”.

Andrew Sullivan, Trigg Palin, and Disabilities

Once again, after criticizing Sarah Palin, I am forced into a rather uncomfortable position of defending her.  I am, of course, referring to the inconceivably asinine blog posting by a one Faux Conservative Andrew Sullivan that I happen to read about over at Robert Stacy McCain’s blog.  Now I will spare my readers a lowbrow attack of the man’s sexual preferences, I will leave that sort of nonsense to other people.  However, I will bring up the fact that this man should be deported from our Country, as he does have a horrible drug habit.

Now to get to the part that I really want to write about —- As some of you know, I live with my parents, it sucks, yes, it is quite lame, and yes, I do hate it.  I love my parents; I just wish I did not have to see them everyday.  However, it is my situation and I deal with it the best that I can, and we do get along unbelievably well.  Now to my point —— someone else lives in this house, with me and my parents.  Her name is Martha Hayes.  Martha Hayes is my Mom’s middle sister — Mom being oldest, Martha being the middle sister and her other sister Shirley being the youngest.  Martha is disabled, Martha is mentally retarded, or as the politically correct police like to call it, developmentally disabled.

You see, Sullivan’s comment struck me as the a-typical cynical beltway politico type of comment from someone who has never had a person like this in his or her family.  While I might not be a huge fan of Sarah Palin, in a political sense, it has never been personal with me and because of this, I have always avoided criticizing her family or kids or even her husband.  Admittedly, I was not amused when Sarah’s daughter came up pregnant; mainly because I felt she had betrayed many in the Conservative Christian community and in the social Conservative circles.  However, this comment by Andrew Sullivan goes well beyond what I feel is just acceptable criticism of Sarah Palin’s politics; this is borderline psychotic obsession with Sarah Palin and her child Trigg.  I believe that if the Atlantic had any shred of decency, they would terminate his employment.

Because you see my friends, I understand Sarah Palin’s feelings towards her baby.  I know what it is to have a disabled person living with you.  I see it every day in this house.  It is not for the faint of heart, it take a special someone to have to deal with the person and have to do the tough work. Admittedly, it is not something that I could ever do.  My Mom, bless her heart, does it every day, without complaining.  She does it because it is the right thing to do.  We are our Brother and Sister’s keeper, and my Mom knows that, Her Mother knew it too, when she raised those three daughters without complaining.

So, when it comes to Sarah Palin and her child, count me as someone who does get it.

Robert Stacy McCain, Charles Johnson and Yours Truly

A bit of a more direct follow up to my last posting.

I went back, and looked at the original e-mails exchanged between Me and R.S. McCain, which were also CC’ed to Smitty.

Here’s what happened, I sent R.S. McCain (and Smitty) a e-mail requesting linkage to this posting here. In this e-mail, I TOLD Mr. McCain that the posting would NOT go live till 9:00 A.M. EST. He writes me back the following:

Stacy,

Would it be too much to ask to get a money bomb going for this guy here?

The posting will be live at 9:00 A.M. EST.

I want to see a Republican, a damn good Republican win the Michigan Governor’s race. Democrats have bankrupted this state good. We need jobs, not more Democratic Party B.S.

Thanks,

Notice the time I have highlighted up there?

Two things that come to mind. Either Stacy is a complete DOLT, when it comes to blogging and has zero clue what a scheduled posting means or what the term “go live” means, or he needs to buy a watch! Most likely both. 🙄

“Okay, so why’d you blow your stack at McCain?”

Mainly because I figured that he was just being a prick about me not liking Palin. Especially after reading this posting here. Especially, after I had written this posting here. I still feel the same way, Palin endorsed a guy who’s got some questionable stuff in his closet, not to mention friends.

For those of you who think I am turning into Charles Foster Johnson Jr.

I have one thing to say —- With due respect to my Black and Latino friends in Southwest Detroit:

NIGGA PLEASE! 🙄

Speaking of him, can we please stop with this sort of stupidity with him already? Yes, I know what he did to Pamela Galler; I thought it was awful, I know he parted ways with the “right.” Fine, he did, c’est la vie, stuff happens, serves those right for assuming something that wasn’t. Sending stuff that makes us all look rather dumb. (Like I really need any help with that, as you can see above….)

So, to Robert Stacy McCain. I apologize for flying off the handle. I do that sometimes. I have an excuse — a very weak one, but it’s an excuse. My left shoulder/Arm/Neck area has been KILLING ME, for the last few days. I’ve been a bit grumpy as a result of it. Quite Bluntly; This shit hurts like hell. I am not really sure what I did, I believe I slept funny or something. This has happened before and yes, it was very painful. Took a few days for me to get over it.

So, to ALL of his friends — NO I am not going to turn into another asshole stalker with a hard on for RSM. I just felt it a bit fishy, I still do. I just do not really know Stacy all that well and I assumed something. It happens.

That is all.

Cutting bait

I hate having to do it.  However, I believe in standing up for one’s convictions.  Therefore, if you look in my Blogroll section, you will see that I removed two names.  I did this because I am sick and tired of the little game being played by a Blogger, of whom I will never link to again; the game is this, if you do not support Sarah Palin, I will not link to you or anything.  I requested some help and was told barefaced lie; all because I happen to think, Sarah Palin is an idiot dolt.  I hate to be a prick about it, but two can play that game.  Say goodbye to your place on my blogroll sir.

Therefore, In essence, I am cutting bait with him and his crowd.  Oh, I am not joining the left.  I am just going to be quite selective whom I associate myself with from now on. I may do some more removing of names that I really do not feel comfortable having on my blog. I tried the “Do not harm” approach and I see it is getting me nowhere.  That is, because if you do not fit in with their little clan, (or should I say Klan?) you are ignored, lied to, and so forth.

I tried to be the nice person, I tried to look past other people’s opinions; but it just did not work.  Therefore, I am done with it.  From here on out, I am looking out for me and myself only.  Screw the rest of them.

Canadian Premier comes to America for Heart Surgery

You know, I am not much one to do the Conservative talking points on this blog at all. But this right here is just too much:

Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams is set to undergo heart surgery this week in the United States.

CBC News confirmed Monday that Williams, 60, left the province earlier in the day and will have surgery later in the week.

The premier’s office provided few details, beyond confirming that he would have heart surgery and saying that it was not necessarily a routine procedure.

via CBC News – Nfld. & Labrador – Danny Williams going to U.S. for heart surgery.

I mean, when the leader in the Country of Canada does not trust its own damned healthcare system to work on his heart, that’s pretty damned bad.

Q & O Agrees.

Like I said, talking points are one thing, but this sort of thing just cannot be ignored.

Michael Moore, call your office! 😛

GUEST VOICE – Update from Mike Bouchard

A special message from Mike Bouchard, Republican candidate for the Governor of Michigan.

——-

Dear Friends,

Today, I filed my 2009 annual campaign finance statement with the Michigan Department of State.  I could not be more pleased to announce that in less than 6 months my campaign has raised over $900,000.

When I first announced my intention to run, I was told that any candidate would need $500,000 to be a real contender.  We have almost doubled that amount with the tremendous support continuing to roll-in in 2010. We surpassed that goal by a huge margin – thanks to your strong support.

The race will come down to who shows up on Election Day.  In just 6 short months, over 1750 people have contributed to my campaign. This is exciting as it shows that my support base is rock solid and continuing to grow every day. I am working hard every day to share my ideas on how to fix Lansing and get Michigan back to work and clearly the people of our great state like what they are hearing!

The momentum and energy of this race has increased dramatically with the announcement of my finance numbers.  However, money alone will not win this race.

The voters are looking for a leader that knows how to make Michigan a top tier business state once again. I have the experience, knowledge and backbone needed to make the tough choices that will face our next governor.

The finance report I filed today only shows the vast momentum I have received in such a short time.  Remember, this race will be very competitive.  To make the change we need to turn our state around, I need your help. Please do what over a thousand of your fellow Michiganders have done and join me in my race for governor. Any contribution you can make whether it is $10, 25, or anything you can afford would be appreciated. Together, we can fix Lansing and get Michigan back to work.

Stupid Move – Sarah Palin Endorses Rand Paul

In a very stupid move, Sarah Palin has endorsed Rand Paul.

Now why do I say this is a stupid move? It is because last month, I reported here on this blog, and I will point out, I was the ONLY Conservative blog that reported this as well; that Rand Paul’s former Campaign spokesman suddenly resigned, because of racist content on a myspace page, which he claimed was not his. (yeah right… 🙄 )

Further more, I have reported on Ron Paul’s various exploits when it comes to racism, and it appears that the apple does not fall far from the tree. If Sarah Palin lends her voice to this sort of outlandish racism and Antisemitism of the Paleo-Conservative right, she will be, in my opinion discredited beyond what she already is among most of the Washington crowd.

Of course, this comes as no surprise to me, seeing she is speaking at a so-called “Tea Party gathering” in Nashville, Tn. Which is being hosted by person, who has been outed as a outright crook by those who broke away from his “Tea Parry Nation” group, after figuring out, that he was nothing more than an opportunist.

While I believe that Sarah Palin’s star power amongst the Conservative grass roots is something to be admired; endorsing Rand Paul is akin to President Obama doing lunch of Adolf Hitler and should be treated as such by the GOP and anyone else that wants to see the Republican Party come back to power in 2010 and 2012. I do not know who is giving Sarah Palin advice, but I believe they had better think twice about endorsing Rand Paul. Because if that is what this new “Tea Party” movement and/or new Conservative movement is about, I want nothing to do with it. As much as I detest Identity Politics; I also detest true racism, and Antisemitism, of which Ron Paul and also now Rand Paul are associated with — The GOP, Sarah Palin and the Conservative grass roots, would do well to avoid Rand Paul and the utter filth that he and his father represent.

Bottom Line: Someone in Palin’s camp blew it and blew it bad.

Obama Administration to Iran, ‘Saber rattle this douche nozzle’

I have to give President Obama credit, he does have his head on straight with Iran. It seems that President Obama’s overtures to that regime in Iran fell on deaf ears; and the President knows it. So, when Iran came out with some saber rattling the President decided enough is enough and is taking the battle to Iran.

[podcast]http://download.guardian.co.uk/audio/kip/standalone/world/1265010933312/1925/gdn.new.100201.tm.Chris-McGreal.mp3[/podcast]

Story:

Tension between the US and Iran heightened dramatically today with the disclosure that Barack Obama is deploying a missile shield to protect American allies in the Gulf from attack by Tehran.

The US is dispatching Patriot defensive missiles to four countries – Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait – and keeping two ships in the Gulf capable of shooting down Iranian missiles. Washington is also helping Saudi Arabia develop a force to protect its oil installations.

American officials said the move is aimed at deterring an attack by Iran and reassuring Gulf states fearful that Tehran might react to sanctions by striking at US allies in the region. Washington is also seeking to discourage Israel from a strike against Iran by demonstrating that the US is prepared to contain any threat.

The deployment comes after Obama’s attempts to emphasise diplomacy over confrontation in dealing with Iran – a contrast to the Bush administration’s approach – have failed to persuade Tehran to open its nuclear installations to international controls. The White House is now trying to engineer agreement for sanctions focused on Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, believed to be in charge of the atomic programme.

Washington has not formally announced the deployment of the Patriots and other anti-missile systems, but by leaking it to American newspapers the administration is evidently seeking to alert Tehran to a hardening of its position.

The administration is deploying two Patriot batteries, capable of shooting down incoming missiles, in each of the four Gulf countries. Kuwait already has an older version of the missile, deployed after Iraq’s invasion. Saudi Arabia has long had the missiles, as has Israel.

An unnamed senior administration official told the New York Times: “Our first goal is to deter the Iranians. A second is to reassure the Arab states, so they don’t feel they have to go nuclear themselves. But there is certainly an element of calming the Israelis as well.”

President Obama’s domestic policy might be that of Jimmy Carter’s class; but it when it comes to foreign policy, The President is no idiot, that is for sure. President Obama knows that if Iran strikes against Israel that The United States would be drawn into the conflict. This is simply a measure of protection for Israel, The United States AND other Arab Nations as well. As the L.A. Times points out:

The presence of additional forces should not be a major issue within the four countries accepting the stepped-up defenses. Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait all host major U.S. bases, and the government of the United Arab Emirates has a long-standing relationship with the American military.

U.S. officials also are working with allies in the Gulf to ensure freedom of navigation in the region. Arab countries worry that during a crisis, Iran could try to prevent their ships from traversing the Strait of Hormuz, cutting off their oil export business.

Obama administration officials also hope to head off an expanded nuclear arms race in the region. If Tehran acquires a nuclear weapon, or is seen as making progress toward acquiring one, wealthy Arab Gulf governments could seek their own weapons, a scenario Washington views as potentially volatile.

Karl (who’s subbing for AP and Ed, who are at meetings) adds:

Allahpundit/McLaughlin-esque exit question: Do these moves signal that Pres. Obama is taking the Iranian threat seriously, or are they another sign that he is planning for the day that the “international community” failed to stop Iran from getting the bomb?

I hate to say it, but I believe Ed has a point. The Obama Administration does see that this guy crazy man is not playing. President Obama knows that if he does nothing, it will show a sign of weakness. That is something that this President just cannot afford to let happen, for the United States sake and for the sake of the international community as well. While the Paleo-Conservative part of me laments the fact, that this could actually turn into another damned war. I also realize that the Country of Iran, is being ruled by a nut job, who is hell bent on confrontation with the rest of the World. I realize that this is a gamble that the United States and the rest of the World cannot afford to make. It encourages me to see that Obama realizes this and is upping the ante. I just pray that Iran sees this and blinks. Because the last thing we need right now, with our economy and involvement in other theaters; is another damned war.

Want to see why I never attended a ‘Tea Party Rally’?

Then head over and read the comments section over at Michelle Malkin’s Blog.

I covered it here, and got many hits off of that one blog entry. Sadly, that movement has devolved into name calling, hatred and utter nonsense. Not to mention hustlers making money off of the movement.

This is what happens, when a movement is based upon human emotions and not a true cause. Hence the reason I never really became involved.

UAW Local 2244: The Other Side of the Story

Recently, there were a series of videos that were shown on the website Big Government.com, they were of a union boss by the name of Javier Contreras, cursing at the union rank and file. Here are the videos in question:

One of the persons who commented on the videos, ID’ed himself as the old gent in the second video, that the union boss swore at, the older guy with the red jacket. Anyhow, I contacted him and asked him to give his side of the story. Here is what he wrote back:

Hello, Yes I really am the guy that Javier swore at. Back in June of last year Old Gm told us that they were getting out, and did so in 2 weeks. Gm gave us nothing, just left. Then in August of last year Toyota announce that they would be leaving too, but they are still here, still employing us, providing pay checks, overtime, vacation, holidays and medical insurance. NUMMI ( toyota) has been trying to reach a retention/ severance agreement with our union since then, but our union leaders have been very uncooperative with NUMMI in the process. Thus, We the workers have been enduring months of not knowing what is happening, what is going to happen. The union has been out of touch with the workers, telling us nothing specific. We live in a whirlwind of rumors, generally all bad. We are losing our jobs in two months, and still we do not have a deal with the company, and haven’t even been told why. I ask my commiteeman regularly, ” What’s up, what’s happening”, and always get the same answer, ” I don’t know”. The union leadership are supposed to be elected representives of us the membership. The union leadership has become what I see as a dictatorship, with Javier as the dictator. The union leaders do not ask us what we feel, think, believe or want.

The union leaders tell us what they are going to do, and what we will get from them. The union complains about the retention package that has been offered to us from the company, but the union has not offered us any type of severence package of their own. The members have been paying union dues into the union for 25 years, some say totaling up to $72 million. Why does the union not offer some sort of package? The union wants to demonize Toyota. The union is running a petition against Toyota. NUMMI ( Toyota ) is still employing us providing pay and benefits. The problem came from GM leaving. Why doesn’t the union petition GM? The UAW international now owns 18% of the NEW GM. The UAW international has an investment that they are not about to create trouble for, so the international instucts our local union to run a petition against it’s former partner. Toyota is not the problem here, GM and the UAW international, which is one in the same now, they are the problem. Our local 2244 union leaders have aligned themselves with the international, doing their bidding.

They are supposed to be our elected representitives, doing our bidding, answering to us. The union is run like a dictatorship, with Javier as the dictator. Javier needs to set down from his office, and whom ever takes his place needs to listen to us, the membership. In closing, I would like to apologize to everyone in attendance that day for the ruckus that evolved from it all. It has been a very difficult time for all of us here at NUMMI, as well as most everyone else here in this country in it’s current economic condition.

Stress is running high with this very uncertain time, facing a devistating change to our lives. It would be nice if our leadership could provide us with some sort of facts and certainty. perhaps then we may be able to plan a course of action for our selves. Let’s all take a look at the devistation of Haiti, and then try to put ours in perspective to that. Thank God we are living in California, USA.

Take care and god bless you all.

I wrote him back and asked him if it were okay if I published this, this is what he said:

Yes, please do. No action has been taken yet as far as I know, but I’m considering suing Javier, Surgio and the UAW. I’m a union supporter to the extent that they do some good for the person who is paying dues to them. But these guys collect dues to fund free vacations for them, family and friends. If the Union was earning the dues taken, then way am I and all the rest of the union workers losing their jobs. If you pay for services, then you should receive the services that you pay for, one of which should be continuing to work. I’m a conservative as well, I feel that if I work for my money I should be able to keep it in my pocket and decide for my self how to spend it, not have the government help them delve to it, because they feel they know better than I how to spend it. The working man and woman is getting screwed by everyone around them. There is a new slave in this country, the working class people.

Nothing in the replies was edited, changed or modified. Except for some misspellings and grammar errors, which I fixed for him.

As the late great Paul Harvey would say……”and now; you know the rest of the story…..”

WOW – For once, I agree with Jack Hunter

Transcript Here:

This week the US Senate is debating whether to raise the national debt ceiling by $1.9 trillion, totaling a whopping $14.3 trillion, which is about the same size as the nation’s overall economy. Some estimate the cost of national healthcare would be in the ballpark of $1 trillion. The initial relief donation to Haiti by the US government was a relatively measly $100 million while the cost of the Iraq war alone has been estimated at $3 trillion dollars. Regardless, our government, and the debt to maintain it, keeps growing astronomically.

The old fashioned, biblical concept of charity is that it begins at home, and once a man has taken care of his family, property and immediate surroundings he can then afford to address greater concerns. Increasingly and sometimes tragically, America can no longer afford to address greater concerns—not that affordability will prevent our government from continuing to do so. The conservative’s task should be to prevent it from doing so, or “limiting” government–and not promoting its unlimited use at home or abroad, and certainly not to save the world.

For once; I actually agree with Jack Hunter. I am very glad that he spoke out on this. I mean, we’re fighting wars and our economy is in the toilet. But yet, we are sending millions of dollars into a Country that is so damn corrupt that they cannot even feed their own people? Give me a break.  We need to deal with our own and stop trying to be the World’s rescue dog. It is not like those people even appreciate what we are even doing there. Because we have already been accused of occupying the Country.

Bottom Line:  Jack Hunter is correct, Let private industry deal with that problem in Haiti and stop using the United States Government to deal every little situation that comes up.

Countdown to being called a RAAAAACIST!!!!! in 5……4…..3…..2….
