I was looking through my logs. I have much interesting visitors around here.
You should be able to look at it.
I pulled it.
Here is why:
After some thoughtful and prayerful consideration; I felt it best to pull the posting. Mainly, because it is not fair to peace-loving Muslim and non-Muslim Arabs here and abroad. Not every Arab is rioting in the streets everywhere; just in a select few nations.
I apologize to my readers who may have been offended. It was not my intent to take a racist tone, it was my intent to spur a discussion and I failed at that.
Again, My apologies.
Reader “NullVoid” writes:
Dear Paleo Pat,
I’m a libertarian; meaning, beyond foreign policy, there’s not much a paleoconservative like you would like about me. I’m for gay rights; free trade (NAFTA or no); open borders; etc. However, I cannot help but feel some pity for how old fashioned conservatives are treated. For one, it confuses the political spectrum to have them excluded.
Here’s hoping that, post-War On Terror, people like you will define the American Right.
and….:
Here’s something for your fellow paleos to be encouraged by; neocons are losing their grip on intellectual discourse. Oh, they still have the op-eds; but, their ideas are ridiculed in the university by reputable people. Seize the initiative, and use this opportunity to critique the neoconservatives and define what conservatism, properly conceived, consists in. Don’t compromise with the neocons, libertarians, liberals, progressives, or anyone else.
Those little e-mails make it worth every nasty e-mail, troll comment or technical glitch! 😀
I’m glad to see that someone is actually reading here. Oh noes! Does this mean I have to act like a respectable writer now? Horrors! 😮 😉 😛
I changed the theme…..again….
Red Lucas was nice, but not what I really wanted. so, I’m giving this one a whirl again.
I promise, I will not be changing themes every two days. heck, I would not have given up the theme I used for a long while, had it not started messing the server up.
So, yeah, this is the look for a good while.
Yes, I am endorsing a product on my website…. 😉
Finally, after many years of writing; someone finally thought I was important enough to ask me my opinion of something and I ended up on their book! Woo Hoo! Ahem… sorry, got a little carried away there. 😛
Anyhow, before I give this book plug, let me explain how in the world that I ended up on Zack’s book. Back around the 2008 election or so; I had this idea of posting political cartoons on my Blog. This lead to me doing so on a regular basis, as you can see here.
You’ll also notice that they are all sprawling off the page too; this is because I just recently changed themes, because my old one was making the blog using the server that hosts it to go crazy, which did not go over well with the hosting company. 😳 🙄
Anyhow, sometime during that time period; I was contacted by a few political cartoonists that were just starting up. One of those people was Zack Rawsthorne. Zack’s stuff is admittedly biased — but very funny. Zack and I share a common thing; we are both people who see the liberal left for what it is — hypocritical.
Having said all of the above. let me state publicly, I very highly recommend the book. If you have seen the political cartoons here at my blog; then you know what to expect. So, head on over and grab a copy of this book. After all, Zack has to justify sending me this free copy for something! 😉 😛 😀
Again, let me say this also publicly; I am extremely grateful and very highly honored to included on Zack’s book. I do now have a reason to keep this pea-picking blog up now, because I surely do expect to have people coming to inquire as to just who this “political byline” weirdo is. HEH! 😛
Now go buy a copy of that book, better yet — buy two, one for you and one for your liberal friend! (If you actually have any! 😮 )
As you now have noticed, I did change themes. The old place needed a coat of paint anyhow. I had been using that other theme for a few years and it was getting a little stale. This new one is a nice, and it does not bork out the server! (I hope!)
We’ll see what happens with this.
My theme that I used for forever basically began acting crazy. I had upgraded it and the silly thing started borking the server side of things. Needless to say, my hosting people were not amused!
So…. I am theme hunting.
Zack Rawsthorne is one funny dude. He is also a very gifted artist and, like me; loves to mock liberals.
Zack has produced a book from all of those cartoons that I’ve been posting here. He has also agreed to send me a book, for free, if I would post this ad.
So, if you would, click the link on the picture below and by the book; because he has to justify sending me the free book somehow or another! 😀
To ALL my readers, let’s put partisan politics aside and help:
I find myself in deep financial trouble. My hours have been cut once again, which means I’m done, ruined, forked, at least for the short term while I try to find another source of income. It appears, given the current job market and my age, that the other source will have to be early Social Security.
I thought, even before my job situation became more tenuous, things were going to be tight, so I cut back my expenses to the bone. I’ve even canceled my health insurance, praying that I wouldn’t have any untoward accident or condition arise that would cost me more than $1,400 a month (my premium). So far I’ve been lucky in that respect, and I qualify for Medicare on August 1.
The short term, however, is disastrous. Last night I received my 3-day notice from the landlord. I will be out of cash and homeless very shortly if I don’t come up with enough cash to show my landlord that I’m not a total flake. I need to raise $2,000 by Monday/Tuesday. — cab drollery: Help Needed
I realize that this person’s politics might just be different from mine, but folks, living on the street just sucks. Let’s all dig deep and give this lady a hand. Politics is one thing, real life is another. Give what you can.
Thanks,
-Pat
I sort of forgot to do a New Year posting and sorta didn’t.
Meaning, I really was not interested in writing about it. Another year, big whoop.
Anyhow, Hope everyone’s new year’s shindigs were fun. As for me, we didn’t do squat. My parents were both sicker than dogs; Dad had a cold and my Mom was puking. So….. No wine and cheese for me. 🙁
Anyhow, the Holidays are finally over. Thank Goodness. 😀
Now back to normal, please.
That is all…
It is that time again. Time to take a look at what were the top postings of 2010.
It is important to remember that this was a down year for this blog. I just have not had the drive to post like I was back in 2009 and 2008. The mid-terms were a bit interesting, as was the passage of the health care bill. However, I just did not have that drive that I did back when I first started this blog. I think it just has to do with the fact that my main reason for beginning to blog, that would be the Presidency of George W. Bush. Not to mention the Bush Administration’s handling of the invasion and occupation of Iraq. Now that the Bush era is over, I really do not have a good reason to continue this; Yes, Obama’s White House is just as bad, if not worse. However, I just cannot muster the outrage towards the man, that many on my far right feel towards the man. Most of it, when one is really being honest is racially based. I mean, I do not remember the right being this hot and heavy against Bill Clinton. It was there, do not get me wrong — but I do not remember that this level.
Anyhow, I will still be around, I do not plan on going anywhere. I will not allow my political foes to win. I will stick around and continue to give you my feelings on things.
Having said all of that, here are the top postings and pages for 2010:
PAGE OR POST ——————————— Hits:
Home page 19,038
Considering the fact that I do no advertising on this blog at all. That is not a bad number. I really do not get linked here at all. I even had one so-called Conservative Blogger dump on me big time and basically toss me under the bus, because some of Michelle Malkin’s fanboys put the pressure on him. He knows who he is, and “You reap what you sow” I always say…
The rest…:
There are many who link here and there are places that I submit my postings to, I thank everyone who has came, read and clicked an ad or two, it does help. 🙂
So there you have it, my referrers. Not all of them are friendly. But hey, that is politics, not everyone is going to agree with me. Even I know that. 🙂
Again, to those who still read here. Thank You so very much for your readership. Perhaps 2011 will be a more prosperous year for me. I will admit, this year, money-wise was not that great. I am still unemployed and prospects are not that great. I did survive, but, if it were not for my Christian parents, I would be so very screwed. 🙁 I do not say that for pity or anything — I say it, because it is true. This is my reality folks and I know some would rather mock than help —- They have their reward, as Jesus did say.
There is a common misconception that ALL Conservatives are filthy rich or something to that effect. If only it were true. I am most likely the poorest Conservative Christian Blogger on the planet. Not by choice, but by circumstance — sometimes stuff just happens. I do not wallow in pity though, as I could much, much worse off. I have a roof over my head and three square meals a day. I also have a warm bed to sleep in at night. I also know Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and I like to think that he is Lord over my life —- and that my friends, is ALL that matters! Everything else, is secondary. As long as you have Jesus in your heart, you are set for life. God never fails, and his word is settled in Heaven!
Some people ask why I even bother to continue this blog, even though 90% of the Conservative Blogging world has written me off. I will tell you why. Because as long as there are progressives out there that want to destroy our Conservative Christian values and want to impose on us a big centralized Government; liberty is threatened. As long as this is the case. I will be fighting this fight. Is it my “calling?” Eh, I do not know that to be a fact. But I do know that my blog does get read and that my opinion is being heard. Now, whether people like what I write and have to say, is another story. I do not claim to be the perfect “Conservative” and I am certainly not your average big Government liberal! I am just someone who saw wrong and decided to write against it. My politics have evolved much — but my commitment has remained the same — that is to be a uncompromising voice of reason in a world of political, religious and moral confusion. Which is what liberalism, whether political or religious, actually is. It is a Babylonian mentality. As Patriotic Americans, as Christians, we must stand up for what we know to be right. For that document called the Constitution. This is not a call to radicalism or violence, it is simply a call to be aware and watch.
Having said all that… Thank you and continue to read here in 2011. It will be a interesting year to watch!

I shall be away from the blog for an extended amount of time. Real life beckons me. Today is the annual Christmas Party for my Dad’s union. There will be plenty of good food! 😀
The bad part is, I will be going on about 4 1/4 hours of sleep. I went to bed around 11:30 and promptly woke up at like 3:30 a.m. So, I’m going to be feeling like death warmed over later today. 😳
So, I shall be away from the blog, the laptop, the internet, and everything else, until I am able to recover. 😀
Till I do, I bit thee farewell…. 🙂
When I am not writing about politics and scorning socialists for their stupidity. I enjoy another hobby. That would be Amateur Radio or Ham Radio.
The Astron Power Supply Co. is considered the “Cadillac” of power supplies in the Amateur Radio Community and in the communications world period. They are American made with pride.
Anyhow, I have noticed that there are hardly any decent pictures of the Astron RS-35A Power Supply.
I sought to fix that…..
I declare this picture PUBLIC DOMAIN and authorize it’s use EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE, provided I get credit for taking it. Just Credit “K8CPA” with the photo and the original location where it is found and you can use it.
The picture is not the best, but it is better than most.
Here are pictures of the Astron RS-35A that I took delivery of today from R & L Electronics in Ohio.
The best $167.76 I ever spent. I bought this power supply from revenue generated from this blog. Thank goodness for Google Adsense. I earned that money from my writing here on this blog. No bailouts were used. 😉
Pretty nifty isn’t it? 😀

Heh.
If they think this is going to run me off, they’re crazy. I am going nowhere.
Also, if they want to discuss their own deranged behavior, we’ll discuss that —- otherwise, they all can just fuck off.
My song to them:
Something interesting happened yesterday. I received this rather tersely worded e-mail from the follow that handles Blog relations at BlogAds:

We will pay out any outstanding funds. Your adstrips will stop functioning within the next few days -- if you leave it up on the site, the ghost adstrip code won't disrupt your site's serving. While we realize Blogads.com is imperfect and has frustrated you, we don't want to be associated with your abusive language about our staff and service. Best, Marc -- marc wasserman | customer relations blogads for opinion makers | blogads.com p: 919.636.4551 x 804 | f: 469.398.0473 facebook.com/blogads | twitter.com/blogads
My first reaction was, basically, to chuckle a bit. What happened was this; I was trying to edit an ad spot here a few days ago and the server that handles the ad editing — was slow, as in very, very, slow. Therefore, I hopped over to the facebook page and in so many words, told the idiots to fix their stupid slow server. I guess Henry, the man that owns BlogAds, saw it and someone got their butt chewed for it. I suspect that might have been Marc. Therefore, in retaliation, I am tossed off the service.
Here is why this really does not matter at all. I can count on one hand, how many ads I have gotten with BlogAds, since I started using it again — when I switched sides politically. I only got five or maybe six paying ads on the side. When I was a left of center Blogger, I got exactly ZERO ads. As a “Right of Center” Blogger, I even was a part of a few hives, or Ad Groups. Those paid nothing as well. I mean, literally no ads came from the majority of them; except maybe the so-called “Conservative” hive. I got a few through there. I ended up leaving that hive, because of the actions of its owner. Of whom, I felt was a bit of an asshole towards David Frum. Other than this, I was not “rolling in the dough” as some might have assumed —- much quite the opposite — I never made much of anything with Blogads at all. All of those ads, that you might have seen in the sidebars, in the Blogads, ad sections, were free ads that I ran, either to promote stuff that I was selling on zazzle or as a favor to others who asked for the help.
Frankly, it is the opinion of this writer, that Blogads day has come and gone; Blogads came on the scene in 2002 and became big in 2004, during the election. However, much has changed since then. Google Adsense got smart and started doing graphical ads — not to mention the fact that their pricing structure is a bit saner for advertisers. In addition, there is this little thing. I believe in the time old business practice of “the Customer is always right,” no matter how abusive, nasty or whatever, the customer is always right. Frankly, if the staff over at Blogads cannot handle being yelled at, because of their subpar servers, then they should shut the company down and leave the advertising business.
Frankly, I am glad to be severed from that company and their joke of an advertising system, which benefits the bigger bloggers and leaves the smaller people like others and me on there in the cold. Therefore, I can honestly say, there was no big loss, at least not on my part.
In conclusion, I simply say to Blogads —- Goodbye and good luck. I wish you the best; however, I suspect that BlogAds will be going the way of other foolhardy ad businesses of the pre-economic bubble era — out of business, especially if they continue with this philosophy that the staff is always right.
I am going to be away from the Blog for a few hours.
This blog will always be here, until I close it up. My Father, on the other hand, will not be.
I will be with him for a few hours. I am going to go hang out with some of the greatest people, who helped make Detroit the great city it is. The Autoworkers.
I will return later today.
This one tickled my funny one.
When I write out long, thought out pieces on this blog — they get ignored.
But when I write “Meh,” Memeorandum scans the hell out of that!
I give up…

About this site Michael Erins writes:
27. Political Byline: This blog is packed with enough videos and pictures to keep anyone’s attention.
I like to think that we’re more than just a video site. But, I will take any sort of good press that I can get; especially seeing the bad press as of late. 😀
So, Um, I am just stoked that we got mentioned somewhere. 😀
I have decided that I am not giving it up. I am not going to allow a group of thugs to run me out of blogging. Screw ‘em if they do not like me. I really do not care.
So, back at it I go.
However, from here on out. I am writing from I truly am; a Paleo-Conservative. Screw trying to make inroads with people. I write how I feel and screw the rest of ‘em.
Just stepping back in here to make a comment about something that I noticed in my stats:
Now I do not know who is looking for what; it is obviously not the Government looking for anything. But I hope like hell that some whack job is not looking for inspiration or anything from my site. Because I do not promote that sort of crap at all. I have, for the record, seen this look up before on here and at the time, I thought nothing of it. However, it is starting to became a regular thing and it is starting to seriously piss me off.
I am not sure, who the sick fuck is, that is getting his murder fantasy on here, by reading my blog. But I really wish he or she would take that bullshit somewhere else! Because I really do not share in that sort of morbid shit!
Anyhow, That is all. I just wanted to bring attention to this shit and let people know, that I am reading my logs still.
Now, I am going back to my Hiatus. You freaks can have this bullshit. I’m just tired of it all.
I am afraid that I need to take another much-needed Hiatus.
This little event here; has left me not really wanting to write any longer.
I might be gone for a week, a month and maybe for good.
I realize that I have said this before. However, this time —- I do truly mean it.
They say politics is a contact sport, Well, if that is the case, I was delivered a drop kick to the nuts.
The fun is gone. The interest has evaporated into thin air. I have grown tired of the mundane.
I only started this blog, because I thought it a cool thing to do…and it was, for a while.
This event was not the only reason. I had said on twitter, that I wanted to stop for a while.
The Neo-Conservative, Zionist, Semite-Baiting crowd will be pleased, I am sure.
Not that I really care about what they think.
I just want my freedom back and not be chained to a blog.
That is what this has become, a horrible paying job. I am all for working — and actually being paid for my work.
This blog does not pay jack crap.
I just do not believe that it is worth the aggravation any longer.
The Democrats are going to do what that they really please, and nothing the so-called “Right” does is going to change any of that.
The Republicans really do not have any answers either —-Except for mocking Obama and defending multi-billion dollar companies.
The War Iraq is all but over. The Surge Worked. Bush is gone now. The catalyst for me beginning to blog is now gone. Now, I feel like I am defending whose who really do not care a iota about me, my family or anyone else that I know personally.
Was I Blogging a Lie? Some would say this, as my background would dictate to me, that I should be a Democratic Party voter. However, how can I vote and support those who are boarder line insane?
Democrats are the party of the handouts, if you are the right color and entitlement group. Naturally, I am not.
Small Government is a great idea. However, we will never be able make it as small as the Republicans would like it to be. To believe otherwise is delusional.
I started out, five years ago, frustrated at my Government, and began blogging. Here I am five years later —- Just as frustrated and have absolutely nothing to show for it — at all.
I made some seriously stupid mistakes when I first started blogging and those mistakes have never stopped following me around.
I have tried to make inroads and tried to make up for my errors. I guess that really is not enough for some.
I watched in 2008, right after Obama’s inauguration, a movement of the people. I was awed by the sight —- only to watch that movement become another movement become controlled by the same people whom President Obama replaced.
I should have stopped then.
I will go away for a little while. I hope to be back. I just need a long rest and do something else for a while.
Remember this: My enemies did not win. I am just putting away the war game for a while. I need the furlough.
Yet more stupidity from my moderation cue. This installment is from some jackwad tool, that obviously does not read the rules of the road around here; when it comes to commenting:

Once again, a writer trots out the Leftie, non-think, smear ’em with trivia and avoid the actual issues, tactic, and pretends to be “<em>siding with proper reason</em>”. What flatulence. How about examining her <strong>campaign</strong> arguments?
Doing so might show you possess a modicum of intelligence over that of some Grade Nine kid who doesn’t like his teacher. Maybe this <a href=”http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=174&load=3949″ title=”” rel=”nofollow”>short interview</a>, will help. In it alone she shows more economic understanding than the most elected officials in Washington!
It would be much better if she matched tax reduction with spending reductions, but no federal government got far with that idea. We should hope the TEA Party candidates get enough support to actually try.
Apparently this guy seems to have a reading comprehension problem. As it says on my rules page:
Here is my reason for not allowing you to insult me. This is my place, I paid money to register my domain. I also pay a meager fee for the hosting. This blog is my intellectual property. This is my spot in the political Blogosphere, and you are here as my house guest. You would not walk into my literal house and insult me, act like an idiot or anything like that, would you? So, why should I allow you to act like a moronic idiot in my virtual house?
The rules are plain; don’t come here and insult me like an asshole, and expect me to print your comment. It is just that simple. My Blog, My Rules, don’t like them; start your own damned blog.
Besides, this jack wad is in Canada! CANADA?!?!?! Does this dude have any clue how I feel about Canada?
He went on and on about how I don’t believe in freedom of speech. Last time I checked this is not a public website. It’s privately owned and I can pick and choose what I wish to allow in my comment sections; and I choose not to allow people to insult me. Sorry, way it is around here.
Now, where’s my dog picture at?
Ah, here it is!
