The theme of the event was “An American Conversation Continued” — the idea being to continue the conversation that a madman’s brutal rampage had interrupted. So it was inevitable that the conversation would eventually turn to politics. It did, toward the end, with Amanpour leading a discussion on a very touchy but obvious topic: gun control.
That’s where the atmosphere turned tense. When Tucson Tea Party founder Trent Humphries rose to suggest that any conversation about gun control should be put off until after the funerals for all the victims, witnesses say Fuller became agitated. Two told KGUN9 News that finally, Fuller took a picture of Humphries, and said, “You’re dead.”
When State Rep. Terri Proud (R-Tucson) rose to explain and clarify current and proposed gun legislation in the state, several people groaned or booed her. One of those booing, according to several witnesses, was Fuller. Witnesses sitting near Fuller told KGUN9 News that Fuller was making them feel very uncomfortable.
The event wrapped up a short time later. Deputies then escorted Fuller from the room. As he was being led off, Fuller shouted loudly to the room at large. Several witnesses said that what they thought they heard him shout was, “You’re all whores!”
Fuller, age 63, is a political operative who specializes in gathering petitions for ballot initiatives. Before the program began, he passed out business cards to people sitting around him that read: “Signatures “Expediting Initiatives since 2006 “J. Eric Fuller “Political Circulator.”
A Pima County Sheriff’s spokesman told KGUN9 News that the department has charged Fuller with one count of threats and intimidation, and said they plan to charge him with at least one count of disorderly conduct. Humphries told KGUN9 News that he does plan to press those charges.

They understood that an intrusive, activist state always limits a peopleâs freedom. Thatâs why they wrote the Constitution in the first place: they wanted to guarantee Americans specific rights, the government could not take away.
The Tea Party continues this tradition. They too stand for individual liberty, over collectivism and social engineering. They want the government to get out of the peopleâs business â out of their health care and out of their pockets. If thereâs one thing they demand, itâs to be left alone to live their lives as they please. Not as it pleases Maher and other cocky liberals who mess up their own lives in virtually every respect, but who nonetheless believe itâs up to them to tell others how to live.
I have had some disagreements with Mr. Galien in the past; however he nails this one very well. Bill Maher is a classless asshole liberal who should be deported out of our Country. This is the same moron who said this little statement:

He accurately reports that Reagan, after leaving the presidency, was bucked from a horse on July 4, 1989, while in Mexico. Ron tells of how his dad, after initially refusing medical help, was transported to a San Diego hospital. âSurgeons opening his skull to relieve pressure on the brain emerged from the operating room with the news that they had detected what they took to be probable signs of Alzheimerâs disease.â Several Reagan associates, however, say there was no surgery in San Diego.
Whatâs more there is no reporting about any San Diego operation on Reagan. News reports at the time of his fall say Reagan was flown to a hospital in Arizona, where he was treated for scrapes and bruises and released after five hoursâŠ

JUAN GONZALEZ: The youngest victim of the Arizona shooting rampage has been laid to rest. More than 2,000 people packed into a Tucson church, and hundreds more lined the road outside, to remember nine-year-old Christina Taylor Green. The third-grade student was born on September 11th, 2001. She had recently been elected to her schoolâs student council. Her funeral was the first for the six people killed last week when alleged gunman Jared Loughton opened fire at a Tucson grocery store in an apparent assassination attempt of Congressmember Gabrielle Giffords.
The shooting has sparked a national debate across the country about political rhetoric. Many have pointed to a controversial map issued by former Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin that included crosshairs on various Democratic districts, including Giffordsâ. In a tweet at the time, Palin urged supporters, quote, “Donât Retreat-RELOAD!”
Giffords won reelection in a tight race against her Tea Party-backed Republican opponent Jesse Kelly, a former Marine who served in Iraq. In June, Kelly promoted a campaign event on his website that read, quote, “Get on Target for Victory in November. Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly.”
AMY GOODMAN: Critics have also pointed to comments made by the former Republican candidate for Senate from Nevada, Sharron Angle. Angle came under intense scrutiny during the campaign for suggesting people should invoke “Second Amendment remedies” as a check on the government and to, quote, “take out” her opponent, Harry Reid.
We turn now to one of the survivors of the Arizona shooting, Eric Fuller. Heâs a 63-year-old disabled vet who had campaigned for Gabrielle Giffords. He was at the supermarket in Tucson Saturday to meet with Giffords. He was shot in the leg, wounded in the back. We spoke with him at his home in Tucson, and he described what happened.
ERIC FULLER: Once she walked up to me, she said, “Iâll answer your questions, but you have to wait.” And there was a line forming up there, so I went over and I sat down and looked over my questions, only two of them, kind of long ones, and was trying to figure out which one and whether I should, you know, ask those questions, when I heard the sound of gunshots. And I looked over only about 10 or 15 feet away, where Gabrielle Giffords had been standing, and in her place was a very excited gunman who was athletically pumping out the rounds and pointing the gun at anybody that he could get a bead on.
People around me were being hit. I just dove for the ground. And while I was diving for the ground, a round hit me in the knee. I was conscious of that. And while I was on the ground, I guess another one, another round, hit me in the back. A fragment did; it hit me in the back. A woman went over and knocked the clip out of his hand. He was reloading. He had a Glock 9mm with a 30-round clip in it. And my thought on the ground was that heâs going to come and finish us off. But this woman knocked the other clip out of his hand. Then a couple of guys came along, bystanders, and they tackled him, knocked him to the ground.
I was in shock, and I just wandered out into the parking lot. And a woman was pushing a cart full of groceries out there. And I said to her, “Iâve been shot.” And she just looked at me like I was crazy. I was taken to the hospital. And even though I was sedated and everything, I stayed upâI was staying up, stayed most of the night. And I didnât know how to calm myself down, so I wrote down the Declaration of Independence, which I memorized some time ago. And that did help to organize my thoughts. And the first thing that I wrote down and what my reaction was to it was: “How many other people? How many other demented people are out there? It looks like Palin, Beck, Sharron Angle and the rest got their first target. Their wish for Second Amendment activism has been fulfilledâsenseless hatred leading to murder, lunatic fringe anarchism, subscribed to by John Boehner, mainstream rebels with vengeance for all, even nine-year-old girls.” There was a little girl named Christina Green, nine years old, who is one of the deceased.
Another thing I wrote down was, “Can we have another fundraiser at the target range, Jesse Kelly?” Jesse Kelly ran against her in the election. And Iâve heard him speak severalâa couple of times, and I couldnât believe he was a real candidate. I thought he was just like a fake candidate. It didnât seem like anybody would consider him seriously. He came within 4,000 votes of winning the election. One of his slogans was: “Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly.” Kind of a very marginal personality and a low mentality.
I worked hard to elect Gabrielle Giffords. I would rather she was busy doing her job today than lying in a hospital with a gunshot wound in the head.

On one hand, I would say he has a very good point. On the other, I believe this person is being rather partisan; because the liberals have been just as rough, if not worse, than the right in some instances. Uncle Jackâs speech in Dallas was to have been an explosive broadside against the right wing. He found Dallasâ streets packed five deep with Kennedy Democrats, but among them were the familiar ornaments of presidential hatred; high-flying confederate flags and hundreds of posters adorning the walls and streets of Dallas showing Jackâs picture inscribed with âWanted for Treason.â One man held a posterboard saying, âyou a traitor [sic].â Other placards accused him of being a communist. When public school P.A. systems announced Jackâs assassination, Dallas school children as young as the fourth grade applauded. A Birmingham radio caller declared that âany white man who did what he did for niggers should be shot.â As my siblings and I visited the White House to console my cousins John and Caroline, a picket paraded out front with a sign, âGod punished JFK.â
Jack had received myriad warnings against visiting the right-wing Texas city. Indeed, there had been a sense of foreboding even within our family as he and Aunt Jackie prepared for the trip. Jack made an unscheduled trip to Cape Cod to say goodbye to my ailing grandfather. The night before the trip, Mummy found Jack distant and brooding at a dinner for the Supreme Court Justices. He was very fond of Mummy, but for the first time ever, he looked right through herâŠ
Gabrielle Giffords lies in a hospital room fighting for her life, and a precious nine-year-old girl is dead along with five others. Letâs pray for them and for our country and hope this tragedy prompts another round of examination of conscience.

The fact that AllahPundit is missing here; is the fact that the Democrats and progressives are skillful masters at historical revisionism and whitewashing of the past to further a political point. I mean, is not very uncommon to hear Democrats essentially blaming things like Slavery, Segregation, and general racism on the Republican Party and on White Conservatives in general —- when on the contrary, it was the Democratic Party who fought for the continued slavery of the black race in this Country. It also was the Democratic Party establishment in the South, who fought against the efforts of Martin Luther King Jr. in Alabama and other such Southern States. It was the Democrats of the south, who broke away from the Democratic Party to form the “States Right Party” and ran Strom Thurmond as its Presidential Candidate.
In fact, the only reason that the Democratic Party has ever given the Black, Jewish or Latino races anything other than the time of day, is because they know that they need those races to get votes in order to win elections. They are able secure those votes from the Black, Latino, and Jewish races is by offering them lip service and the occasional handout. If the Democratic Party stopped with lip service and the hand outs, they would never, ever be able to win elections.
So, what does the Democratic Party do? They seek to revise history and blame the other sides for the stuff that Democrats were responsible for in the first place. They do this, because they know that the majority of the people from those said races are mostly uninformed boobs, who are, for the most part, too lazy to pick up a history book and see who were the people responsible for the sins committed in our Nation’s past.
Is this to say that there is not racism within Conservative circles? Not at all. There is, plenty, I have seen it on websites and on Blogs and yes; even on facebook. In fact, I have unliked several pages and even several people — who were Conservative and yes, were quite racist. I mean, I dislike some of Obama’s polices as much as the next guy. But when I see President Obama and the First Lady’s faces being superimposed with the faces of the players from the movie Planet of the apes; I most politely object. Of course, I was called a “race baiter” and a fake Conservative by those people for making a stink about it. Which is all too common for those people.
The point that I am trying to make here is this —- neither of these political parties are without blame when it comes to racism. However, it is not improper to point out the fact that it was the Democratic Party — not the Republican Party —- that was the supporter, enabler and financer of institutionalized racism in the United States of America for many, many years. Anyone who says anything other than this and further more, anyone who says that the person who killed JFK and RFK were anything other than a Soviet admiring leftist and an Anti-Israel Palestinian supporter — is dealing in abject historical revisionism.
Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay, R-Texas, was sentenced on Monday to three years in prison for conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The sentence came after Delay was convicted in November of trying to illegally influence elections in the Lone Star State.
In a 10 minute speech to Senior Judge Pat Priest, Delay insisted he did nothing wrong.
“I can’t be remorseful for something I don’t think I did,” Delay said, adding that accountants and lawyers checked everything he did.
“This criminalization of politics is very dangerous. It’s dangerous to our system. Just because somebody disagrees with you they got to put you in jail, bankrupt you, destroy your family,” he told Priest.
However, the prosecutor in the case saw the matter differently.
“I think Tom Delay said it best. He said that he was arrogant,” Assistant District Attorney Gary Cobb said.
“His statement was an extremely arrogant statement where he refused to accept responsibility, refused to show any remorse for the offense of which he’s been convicted of,” Cobb added.
I happen to see this a little differently than Tom Delay. I believe there is another motivation factor here; and that factor is race. This is nothing more, than a political and racial watch hunt by a black liberal Democrat who wants to make a name for himself by going after and bringing down a White Conservative Republican. I have information in my possession from well-placed anonymous sources, e-mails from this man saying that he was going to bring down Tom Delay and some very nasty racist words were used to describe Mr. Delay.
It is a sad day in America when out of control liberal blacks can attack, smear and persecute White Americans for crimes that they did not commit.
I will admit, that I do not much care for Sarah Palin at all. However, I will give the ol’ gal credit — she knocked it out of the ballpark here and put all of her critics in their places.
Like millions of Americans I learned of the tragic events in Arizona on Saturday, and my heart broke for the innocent victims. No words can fill the hole left by the death of an innocent, but we do mourn for the victimsâ families as we express our sympathy.
I agree with the sentiments shared yesterday at the beautiful Catholic mass held in honor of the victims. The mass will hopefully help begin a healing process for the families touched by this tragedy and for our country.
Our exceptional nation, so vibrant with ideas and the passionate exchange and debate of ideas, is a light to the rest of the world. Congresswoman Giffords and her constituents were exercising their right to exchange ideas that day, to celebrate our Republicâs core values and peacefully assemble to petition our government. Itâs inexcusable and incomprehensible why a single evil man took the lives of peaceful citizens that day.
There is a bittersweet irony that the strength of the American spirit shines brightest in times of tragedy. We saw that in Arizona. We saw the tenacity of those clinging to life, the compassion of those who kept the victims alive, and the heroism of those who overpowered a deranged gunman.
Like many, Iâve spent the past few days reflecting on what happened and praying for guidance. After this shocking tragedy, I listened at first puzzled, then with concern, and now with sadness, to the irresponsible statements from people attempting to apportion blame for this terrible event.
President Reagan said, âWe must reject the idea that every time a lawâs broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.â Acts of monstrous criminality stand on their own. They begin and end with the criminals who commit them, not collectively with all the citizens of a state, not with those who listen to talk radio, not with maps of swing districts used by both sides of the aisle, not with law-abiding citizens who respectfully exercise their First Amendment rights at campaign rallies, not with those who proudly voted in the last election.
The last election was all about taking responsibility for our countryâs future. President Obama and I may not agree on everything, but I know he would join me in affirming the health of our democratic process. Two years ago his party was victorious. Last November, the other party won. In both elections the will of the American people was heard, and the peaceful transition of power proved yet again the enduring strength of our Republic.
Vigorous and spirited public debates during elections are among our most cherished traditions. And after the election, we shake hands and get back to work, and often both sides find common ground back in D.C. and elsewhere. If you donât like a personâs vision for the country, youâre free to debate that vision. If you donât like their ideas, youâre free to propose better ideas. But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible.
There are those who claim political rhetoric is to blame for the despicable act of this deranged, apparently apolitical criminal. And they claim political debate has somehow gotten more heated just recently. But when was it less heated? Back in those âcalm daysâ when political figures literally settled their differences with dueling pistols? In an ideal world all discourse would be civil and all disagreements cordial. But our Founding Fathers knew they werenât designing a system for perfect men and women. If men and women were angels, there would be no need for government. Our Foundersâ genius was to design a system that helped settle the inevitable conflicts caused by our imperfect passions in civil ways. So, we must condemn violence if our Republic is to endure.
As I said while campaigning for others last March in Arizona during a very heated primary race, âWe know violence isnât the answer. When we âtake up our armsâ, weâre talking about our vote.â Yes, our debates are full of passion, but we settle our political differences respectfully at the ballot box â as we did just two months ago, and as our Republic enables us to do again in the next election, and the next. Thatâs who we are as Americans and how we were meant to be. Public discourse and debate isnât a sign of crisis, but of our enduring strength. It is part of why America is exceptional.
No one should be deterred from speaking up and speaking out in peaceful dissent, and we certainly must not be deterred by those who embrace evil and call it good. And we will not be stopped from celebrating the greatness of our country and our foundational freedoms by those who mock its greatness by being intolerant of differing opinion and seeking to muzzle dissent with shrill cries of imagined insults.
Just days before she was shot, Congresswoman Giffords read the First Amendment on the floor of the House. It was a beautiful moment and more than simply âsymbolic,â as some claim, to have the Constitution read by our Congress. I am confident she knew that reading our sacred charter of liberty was more than just âsymbolic.â But less than a week after Congresswoman Giffords reaffirmed our protected freedoms, another member of Congress announced that he would propose a law that would criminalize speech he found offensive.
It is in the hour when our values are challenged that we must remain resolved to protect those values. Recall how the events of 9-11 challenged our values and we had to fight the tendency to trade our freedoms for perceived security. And so it is today.
Let us honor those precious lives cut short in Tucson by praying for them and their families and by cherishing their memories. Let us pray for the full recovery of the wounded. And let us pray for our country. In times like this we need Godâs guidance and the peace He provides. We need strength to not let the random acts of a criminal turn us against ourselves, or weaken our solid foundation, or provide a pretext to stifle debate.
America must be stronger than the evil we saw displayed last week. We are better than the mindless finger-pointing we endured in the wake of the tragedy. We will come out of this stronger and more united in our desire to peacefully engage in the great debates of our time, to respectfully embrace our differences in a positive manner, and to unite in the knowledge that, though our ideas may be different, we must all strive for a better future for our country. I realize that my personal political leanings are not the same as the President of the United States and I have been quite vocal about that here. But this time, the President did the right thing. He came out, and said nothing. Just silence and humble respect. That is what a leader does and the President acted like a leader — that my friends is worthy of respect from everyone.
I have read that the President wants to comment on the shooting in AZ. I surely hope that this is not the case, it is not his place. Let those who are paid to pontificate do so, and leave the politicking to the pundits. The President should be above all that and be the leader of the Country and of the free world.

One of the fiercest gun-control advocates in Congress, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.), pounced on the shooting massacre in Tucson Sunday, promising to introduce legislation as soon as Monday targeting the high-capacity ammunition the gunman used.
McCarthy ran for Congress after her husband was gunned down and her son seriously injured in a shooting in 1993 on a Long Island commuter train.
âMy staff is working on looking at the different legislation fixes that we might be able to do and we might be able to introduce as early as tomorrow,â McCarthy told POLITICO in a Sunday afternoon phone interview.
Gun control activists cried it was time to reform weapons laws in the United States, almost immediately after a gunman killed six and injured 14 more, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, in Arizona on Saturday.
Many said that people with a history of mental instability, like the alleged shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, should not be able to buy a gun â and no one should be able to buy stockpiles of ammunition used by the 22-year-old assailant.
McCarthy said she plans to confer with House Speaker John Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to see âif we can work something throughâ in the coming week.
McCarthyâs spokesman confirmed the legislation will target the high-capacity ammunition clips the Arizona gunman allegedly used in the shooting, but neither he or the congresswoman offered any further details.
âAgain, we need to look at how this is going to work, to protect people, certainly citizens, and we have to look at what I can pass,â McCarthy said. âI donât want to give the NRA â excuse the pun â the ammunition to come at me either.â
I understand her husband getting killed and he kids hurt in a shooting. But is it really necessary to impose her idiotic will on the American people?
Of course, unless something major changes; this bill will never, ever make it to the President’s desk. The Democrats tried this whole thing back during the Clinton era and ended up paying for it dearly during the elections. They fought this battle —- and ultimately lost. So, I expect that this bill will be treated as such.
What will be interesting to note is whether the Conservative in Congress will stick to their principles ….or will they go the Neo-Conservative route and sell out their principles to the liberals, who want to strip our freedoms in the name of safety? What really needs to happen, is some freedom loving American needs to challenge Rep. Carolyn McCarthy at the ballot box, come election time. Because we just cannot allow these far-leftist loons to use a sad situation like this, to rob peace loving, and law abiding citizens of the United States of American of the freedoms that they hold dear.
It is a often used phrase among second amendment advocates, that “Gun Control is less about guns and more about Control.” This attempt by this far leftist loon proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

TUCSON– Prosecutors accused Jared Lee Loughner, a troubled 22-year-old college dropout, of five serious federal charges on Sunday, including the attempted assassination of a member of Congress, for his role in a shootout that left 20 people wounded, six of them fatally, on Saturday morning.
Court documents filed in the U.S. District Court in Phoenix indicated that evidence seized from Mr. Loughnerâs home showed that he had planned to kill Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who was in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. Found in Mr. Loughnerâs home, F.B.I. special agent Tony M. Tayler Jr. said in an affidavit supporting the charges, was an envelope with the handwritten words, “I planned ahead,” “My assassination,” and “Giffords.”
The details of the envelope were not disclosed.
The court documents say that Mr. Loughner purchased the semiautomatic Glock pistol used at the shooting at Sportsmanâs Warehouse in Tucson on Nov. 30. The documents also indicate that the suspect had previous contact with the congresswoman. Found in the same safe was a letter from Ms. Giffords thanking Mr. Loughner for attending a 2007 âCongress on Your Cornerâ event, like the one she was holding on Saturday morning when she was attacked.
Along with being accused of deliberating trying to take Ms. Giffordsâ life, Mr. Loughner was charged with the killing and attempted killing of four United States government officials, among them U.S. District Judge John M. Roll, who was killed; a congressional aide, Gabriel Zimmerman, who was also killed; and two congressional aides, Pamela Simon and Ron Barber, who were wounded.
Something tells me, that this kid and I call him a kid; because he is 22 years old — will be seeing the inside of a gas chamber real soon.
Such a tragic thing to happen to kid that young. But we must remember — he chose this path. Just like Tim McVeigh.
The physical political violence is strictly a leftist phenomenon for say the last, hmmmm 150 years, starting with John Wilkes Booth and Lincoln (wonder which one was the Dem?)
We can leave out the acts of domestic terrorism perpetrated by the KKK (From the Dem Solid South) as to numerous to mention. Â Lets go to Lee Harvey Oswald ( a card carrying Communist, lived in Cuba-or tried to- shot JFK cuz he was not leftist enough), James Earl Ray (card carrying Dem, proud one til the day he died) and Sirhan Sirhan (Palestinian who shot RFK cuz he did not sympathize enough with his cause).
Now this Leftist shot Giffords cuz he was disappointed Giffords did not support Pelosi and voted against her for Speaker, the final straw in his–and Kos–book.

Wow…..Just Wow….. Not sure whether to have Alex Jones or Rush Limbaugh to call their offices. The disconnect in that comment to reality boggles the mind.
He was a TRUE AMERICAN HERO and then the HOMELESS VETERAN was framed by the crooked government. The article says McVeigh is a terrorist. I agree. However, Mir Aimal Kasi did not have any ties to any organization (like McVeigh) and he was determined not to be a terrorist as a result. Furthermore, the mass murder at the access road to the CIA was determined not to be a terrorist act because of this.
Finally McVeigh left his rent-a-cop job and the Buffalo area saying, “I gotta get out of this place, it’s all liberals here.”  Then, early in 1993, he took off with everything he owned, and began driving around America, hoping to find some meaning in his life.
But he began by looking in all the wrong places.
Was McVeigh a Christian? It depends on whom you believe and where you read. Some places say yes and some say No. I cannot sit here and pretend to know what the Religious leanings of McVeigh actually were; so, I will not try. What I will say is this:
Folks, McVeigh was one of ours. A lone wolf yes. But what is known about the man was this — He had a profound hate of the Government, He was enraged of the raid gone bad, of the religious compound in Waco, Texas. In fact, he was down there in Waco, Texas, when the raid went down. No amount of spin, denial or counter-blame will ever change this.
Not that there is anything wrong with not liking Big Government. It is what you choose to do with that disliking. At some point, McVeigh’s thought process became clouded, whether with sickness produced by the war or by some sort of extremist views fueled by extremist right wing propaganda. All of that really does not matter — what really matters is what he choose to do and that was murder innocent people.
Further more, this very idea that violence is a strictly a product of the left; is idiotic at best and I am sorry, but that is just plain stupid. I will not sit here with blinders on and allow some knucklehead to not only insult me personally — But also sit here and write out right lies in the comments section of my blog. The truth is, politically motivated violence happens and both sides of the political divide have produced their own fair shares of crazies.
The whole crux of the problem is that we have never allowed these acts of terror, these crimes, carried out by political extremists or mentally impaired persons — to make us stop and reflect for just a moment on what it is that we actually print or even say. All that ever happens is that the right likes to blame the left and the left points to the right. How about both sides to just accept responsibility and say to ourselves, “Yeah, we blew it here badly….”? That however, would require that both sides would have to admit at least some sort of culpability.
….and because this, a 9 year old girls life was cut short, a 22 year old man is in jail for murder — and six families are burying their dead this week.
We must do better than this. Our lives depend on it.
But even so, the tragedy wouldn’t change this basic fact: for the past two years, many conservative leaders, activists, and media figures have made a habit of trying to delegitimize their political opponents. Not just arguing against their opponents, but doing everything possible to turn them into enemies of the country and cast them out beyond the pale. Instead of âsoft on defense,â one routinely hears the words âtreasonâ and âtraitor.â The President isn’t a big-government liberalâhe’s a socialist who wants to impose tyranny. He’s also, according to a minority of Republicans, including elected officials, an impostor. Even the reading of the Constitution on the first day of the 112th Congress was conceived as an assault on the legitimacy of the Democratic Administration and Congress.
This relentlessly hostile rhetoric has become standard issue on the right. (On the left it appears in anonymous comment threads, not congressional speeches and national T.V. programs.) And it has gone almost entirely uncriticized by Republican leaders. Partisan media encourages it, while the mainstream media finds it titillating and airs it, often without comment, so that the gradual effect is to desensitize even people to whom the rhetoric is repellent. Weâve all grown so used to it over the past couple of years that it took the shock of an assassination attempt to show us the ugliness to which our politics has sunk.
The massacre in Tucson is, in a sense, irrelevant to the important point. Whatever drove Jared Lee Loughner, America’s political frequencies are full of violent static.
This sums up why I backed off blogging, because the level of the stupid on my side of the fence, was just to the point where I could not handle it anymore. There comes a point, when one has to excuse himself from the stupidity and I did just that. I admit, readily, that I got caught up in some of that stupidity myself; and I very much regret that. What my friends on the right and left need to realize that there are people out there, who do not have the ability to differentiate between rhetoric and reality.
I believe that at this point; trying to place blame on one side or the other; quite frankly, is stupid. I think the best thing that we can all do — all of us, is just stop and take a step back and realize that we need to all calm down. we also need to realize that there is more to this life than politics. Government is not our lives man. Because the obsessive nature of those of us, who cover politics, this little lady is now dead:

The truth is folks, BOTH sides are to blame. But, I happen to believe that in this case; this all would have not mattered. This dude was mentally ill and I believe this guy would have pulled this stunt no matter what the rhetoric. The man was sick and this poor senator and judge just happened to be in the way.
These people are not patriots, they are crazy. Believe it or not — I slept through this one. I’ve been sick here the last few days. Ny-Quill and much sleep.
You can expect that Fox News and the rest of the liberal media outlets will spin this as left or right. Truth is, it is neither — it is our sick media driven society that is causing this sort of a thing. The sick part is; nobody wants to admit the fault.
Again, in closing, having a political stance and opinion is fine â even acceptable. However, when one decides to hurt other people to express that opinion â you stop being a patriot or even an American and you become a terrorist and a criminal. I was, of course, referring to the people who sent the package bombs — but, I do believe this applies here as well. Normally, I would not touch a story like this; but this one sticks out a bit:
WASHINGTON (AP) â First, fiery packages sent to top officials in Maryland were opened, revealing an angry message complaining of the stateâs terrorism tip line. Then, a mailing addressed to the nationâs homeland security chief ignited with a similar flash of fire and smoke at a D.C. postal processing facility.
While authorities have not said if the latest parcel contained a note, they did say the three packages were alike. The targeting of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano also seemed to echo anger expressed by the mailer of the first two.
Napolitano launched a nationwide âsee something, say somethingâ campaign in July, and her recorded voice can be heard in Washington-area subway stations, reminding commuters to report suspicious behavior. The program expanded last month to include more than 230 Walmarts across the country.
The Maryland packages had an explicit message, railing against highway signs urging motorists to report suspicious activity by calling a toll-free number. The message read: âReport suspicious activity! Total Bullâ-! You have created a self fulfilling prophecy.â
This is one of those blog entries that I do not like having to write —- but because I am Christian and because I happen to believe that anarchy is wrong — I feel the need to write about it.
Contrary to what most radicals might want you to believe, sending package bombs to Governmental offices and targeting Governmental officials is NOT Patriotic! Nor is it cool or even remotely acceptable. In this great Country of ours, we have a perfect system of protest against existing Governments. It is called the Ballot box. We also have the first amendment, which allows us to peacefully assemble and protest against the actions of our Government. You saw that during the Tea Party protests this summer, and because of those protests and because of the media coverage of them, there was a landslide victory by the Republicans in the House and parts of the Senate as well.
Those who stoop to violence towards our Government have given up hope on the political system and on the process of elections. Violence solves nothing at all; it just causes the other side of the political fence to blame those of us, who are peace-loving Americans, who do not agree with the big Government polices of the liberals in Congress and in the White House — for this sort of ungodly nonsense. When in all honesty, it is not our fault.
I want it to be publicly known that this “right of center” political blog and it’s owner condemn this sort of terrorist actions in the highest terms possible and it is my personal hope and prayer that they catch the person or persons responsible for this and that they prosecute this godless vermin to the fullest extent of the law. Further more, I believe that if Fox News, and every other Conservative outlet out there has ANY sort of integrity at all; these organizations would come out and say the same exact thing.
Unfortunately, among the more Paleo-libertarian crowd, this sort of extremist action is seen as heroic and even justified — which is, of course, asinine. Acts of violence, in a civilized society, such as ours, to make a political point, is right on par with what Al-Qaeda and other such Jihad groups wish to do here in America. In other words, this is nothing more than straight up terrorism and should be treated as such.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a radical Islamist revivalist organization founded in Egypt in 1928 to establish Muslim theocracies around the world, by means both violent and non-violent. The group is banned in Egypt, where its members have a long history of political violence capped by the 1981 assassination of Anwar Sadat, the Egyptian president who signed a peace agreement with Israel.
Sperry says some members of Congress and their staffs have no idea Khan is “a Muslim activist with direct connections to Muslim Brotherhood groups implicated by the government in a conspiracy to raise millions of dollars for terrorism right here in America.”
“The Brotherhood’s stated mission,” says Gaffney, “is to destroy Western civilization from within. Their agenda for the U.S. and the world is the triumph of Shariah law worldwide under a ruler known as a caliph.”
Gaffney describes Norquist, who, ironically also serves on the board of the controversial GOProud, as the enabler for Muslim Brotherhood associates, providing them with access into the highest reaches of the conservative movement and the Republican Party through his many contacts. Norquist, the founder of Americans for Tax Reform, hosts a weekly political organizing meeting attended by many of the leading conservatives in Washington.
I personally do find this disturbing. How is it, that one of the oldest Conservative political action committees is now allowing Muslims; the very people that attacked us on 9/11 to a part of its annual get-together? I think I can answer that. It is all about money. It seems that CPAC has had some money troubles and these Muslims most likely have loose cash to burn. They also are able to answer the right questions and give the right speeches to assure us, that they are on our side. But this Conservative is not fooled, I know the real agenda of these fools and that of GOProud. The agenda of GOPproud and of this Muslim group is to subvert the Christian roots of our Nation in favor of a secular libertarian stance. In other words, they want to remove the two legs of the stool of the Conservative movement. The Muslim group is very disturbing; to do what this group is doing, is to remove all memory of what happened on 9/11. MUSLIMS attacked us, not just Arabs — but MUSLIMS — for us to forget that would be essentially pissing on the graves of those who died on September 11, 2001.
I find it morbidly sickening that the Conservative movement is cozying up to those who want to destroy the very principles that this country was founded upon.

It is important to remember that this was a down year for this blog. I just have not had the drive to post like I was back in 2009 and 2008. The mid-terms were a bit interesting, as was the passage of the health care bill. However, I just did not have that drive that I did back when I first started this blog. I think it just has to do with the fact that my main reason for beginning to blog, that would be the Presidency of George W. Bush.  Not to mention the Bush Administration’s handling of the invasion and occupation  of Iraq.  Now that the Bush era is over, I really do not have a good reason to continue this; Yes, Obama’s White House is just as bad, if not worse. However, I just cannot muster the outrage towards the man, that many on my far right feel towards the man. Most of it, when one is really being honest is racially based. I mean, I do not remember the right being this hot and heavy against Bill Clinton. It was there, do not get me wrong — but I do not remember that this level.
Anyhow, I will still be around, I do not plan on going anywhere. I will not allow my political foes to win. I will stick around and continue to give you my feelings on things.

Considering the fact that I do no advertising on this blog at all. That is not a bad number. I really do not get linked here at all. I even had one so-called Conservative Blogger dump on me big time and basically toss me under the bus, because some of Michelle Malkin’s fanboys put the pressure on him. He knows who he is, and “You reap what you sow” I always say…
There are many who link here and there are places that I submit my postings to, I thank everyone who has came, read and clicked an ad or two, it does help. đ
So there you have it, my referrers. Not all of them are friendly. But hey, that is politics, not everyone is going to agree with me. Even I know that. đ
Again, to those who still read here. Thank You so very much for your readership. Perhaps 2011 will be a more prosperous year for me. I will admit, this year, money-wise was not that great. I am still unemployed and prospects are not that great. I did survive, but, if it were not for my Christian parents, I would be so very screwed. đ I do not say that for pity or anything — I say it, because it is true. This is my reality folks and I know some would rather mock than help —- They have their reward, as Jesus did say.
There is a common misconception that ALL Conservatives are filthy rich or something to that effect. If only it were true. I am most likely the poorest Conservative Christian Blogger on the planet. Not by choice, but by circumstance — sometimes stuff just happens. I do not wallow in pity though, as I could much, much worse off. I have a roof over my head and three square meals a day. I also have a warm bed to sleep in at night. I also know Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and I like to think that he is Lord over my life —- and that my friends, is ALL that matters! Everything else, is secondary. As long as you have Jesus in your heart, you are set for life. God never fails, and his word is settled in Heaven!
Some people ask why I even bother to continue this blog, even though 90% of the Conservative Blogging world has written me off. I will tell you why. Because as long as there are progressives out there that want to destroy our Conservative Christian values and want to impose on us a big centralized Government; liberty is threatened. As long as this is the case. I will be fighting this fight. Is it my “calling?” Eh, I do not know that to be a fact. But I do know that my blog does get read and that my opinion is being heard. Now, whether people like what I write and have to say, is another story. I do not claim to be the perfect “Conservative” and I am certainly not your average big Government liberal! I am just someone who saw wrong and decided to write against it. My politics have evolved much — but my commitment has remained the same — that is to be a uncompromising voice of reason in a world of political, religious and moral confusion. Which is what liberalism, whether political or religious, actually is. It is a Babylonian mentality. As Patriotic Americans, as Christians, we must stand up for what we know to be right. For that document called the Constitution. This is not a call to radicalism or violence, it is simply a call to be aware and watch.

HONOLULU â Gov. Neil Abercrombie of Hawaii, who befriended President Obamaâs parents when they were university students here, has been in office for less than three weeks. But he is so incensed over âbirthersâ â the conspiracy theorists who assert that Mr. Obama was born in Kenya and was thus not eligible to become president â that he is seeking ways to change state policy to allow him to release additional proof that the president was born in Honolulu in 1961.
âItâs an insult to his mother and to his father, and I knew his mother and father; they were my friends, and I have an emotional interest in that,â Governor Abercrombie said in a telephone interview late Thursday. âItâs an emotional insult. It is disrespectful to the president; it is disrespectful to the office.â
The governor, a Democrat and former congressman, said he has initiated conversations with the stateâs attorney general and the chief of its Health Department about how he can release more explicit documentation of Mr. Obamaâs birth on Aug. 4, 1961, at Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital. He said he has done so of his own accord, without consulting the White House, which declined to comment.
âHeâs a big boy; he can take sticks and stones. But thereâs no reason on earth to have the memory of his parents insulted by people whose motivation is solely political,â Mr. Abercrombie said. âLetâs put this particular canard to rest.â
Firstly, I feel the need to clear up some misconceptions that might exist out there, as to what Conservatives actually believe about President Barack Obama. The good majority of the Conservatives have no qualms in believing that Barack Obama is a citizen of the United States of America via his birth in Hawaii. We disagree with his politics, but we do believe his a citizen.  However, there are, what I like to call, outliers. Those who are making a cottage industry of casting doubt as to whether Barack Obama is a citizen of the United States. These are the very same people, who wrote some of the most idiotic stuff about Bill Clinton during his Presidency, most notably when Vince Foster was found dead.  Now, before anyone points to me — I will admit that I would like to see a long form Birth Certificate. However, that is not the sole focus of this blog.  Not to mention the fact that after I was burned badly, by some dope purporting to have a Kenyan Birth Certificate of Barack Obama, which turned out to be fake. I then decided that the issue was becoming a moronic one and decided that I no longer wanted to be associated with it.
Secondly, I do not believe for one lousy second that this is just some sort of âGood Samaritanâ trying to preserve the Presidents parentâs memory or whatever it is that this man is claiming. In politics, especially in liberal politics, everything and I do mean everything is a tactical maneuver. Now as to what kind of tactical maneuver is where I will speculate a little. It could very well be that the White House is trying to present this as a diversion while it tries to bring in end of life counseling back into the healthcare bill.  This is the one provision in the bill that was bandied around as death panels by those who, again, were making a cottage industry out of criticizing the President.  I also have an alternative theory as well — as you all know, Hillary Clinton fought and ultimately lost a very long and protracted battle for the White House, she ended up with a meaningless job as Secretary of State, who which itâs rumored she might be leaving.
Thirdly, the main reason why I object to this stunt is that it actually legitimizes the tin-foil hat conspiracy theory crowd. I mean, my main thought here is — why bother. Nothing anyone does will ever convince these idiotic people that President Barack Obama is a legitimate citizen of the United States. It is, in fact, an exercise in futility.  Another objection that I have is this; why is taxpayerâs money being used to do something like this?  It just does not make any sense, at least on the normal level.
Perhaps it is some sort of political âPaybackâ for Hillaryâs humiliation in the primary. Perhaps this is a sort of a political payback for the President stiffing some of his base on pet issues like Gay Marriage and stuff like the Dream act. It is very hard to tell at this point. It could just be an honest case of someone trying to do a good thing. However, knowing politics as I do — I very much doubt it.
“I’m … I’m not exactly for the use of drugs, don’t get me wrong, but I just believe that criminalizing marijuana, criminalizing the possession of a few ounces of pot, that kinda thing it’s just, it’s costing us a fortune and it’s ruining young people. Young people go into prisons, they go in as youths and come out as hardened criminals. That’s not a good thing.
Of course, CBN had to walk back the comments, because, well, because they’re CBN! đ Anyhow, here’s the walk back…:

“He was advocating that our government revisit the severity of the existing laws because mandatory drug sentences do harm to many young people who go to prison and come out as hardened criminals,” CBN spokesman Chris Roslan wrote. “He was also pointing out that these mandatory sentences needlessly cost our government millions of dollars when there are better approaches available. Dr. Robertson’s comments followed a CBN News story about a group of conservatives who have proven that faith-based rehabilitation for criminals has resulted in lower repeat offenders and saved the government millions of dollars. Dr. Robertson unequivocally stated that he is against the use of illegal drugs.”
While it might sense for Rev. Robertson to say this on a political level; on a Religious level, it would be suicide; that is because the 700 club and CBN in general; run on donations and if they dry up, Pat Robertson would be out of business.

Ed Morrissey, who is usually a reasonable Conservative, raises the specter of abolishing the F.C.C. Â As a licensed user of a service that is regulated by the Federal Communications Commission — I must politely object to this sort of âWild Westâ mentality of the libertarian stripe.
When I am not criticizing liberals and their moronic ways, I also partake in another hobby — Amateur Radio. Amateur Radio or Ham Radio is regulated by the F.C.C.; when Amateur radio was just beginning, it was regulated and licenses issued by United States Department of Commerce and Labor, which subsequently split into two separate Government entities. When it became clear that Amateur Radio and other such radio services were going to be established, a new Government entity was created, The Federal Communications Commission.  This was because the work of licensing was too great for the United States Department of Commerce and Labor, which did have much other work to do. In addition, an entity dedicated to licensing of all Radio of all sorts was needed.
The Federal Communications Commission acts as regulatory and enforcement body for the Amateur Radio Service; it also deals with issues like type-acceptance of Radios to be sold in the United States. To pursue the idiotic notion of abolishing the FCC would mean absolutely chaos on the Amateur Radio bands, with no enforcement of the rules and regulations, or removing them entirely would be a huge mistake.
As a Conservative, who sides with much of what the Republican Party stands for; I believe in rule of law. However, I do not believe in the âWild Westâ mentality, which is promoted by those who are of the libertarian stripe — notably the libertarian left. Which is why I am quite shocked to read that Ed Morrissey — who was a Amateur Radio Operator, until his licensed lapsed —  of all people —- wants to see a vital Governmental organ like the FCC abolished.
President Ronald Reagan said famously, âBig Government is bad Government.â  However, any sane rational Republican will tell you that no Government at all is insanity. There are legitimate uses for Government and the FCC is one of them. To even suggest that the United States Government abolish the Federal Communications Commission is utter insanity and is borderline âRon Paul Kookyvilleâ
We need small responsible Government, not anarchy and chaos. Doing what Ed Morrissey suggested would bring on just that, and in an age where our National Security is being threatened daily, the idea of getting rid of an agency that protects us from harm, is asinine at best.

Gov. Haley Barbour (R-MS), a potential Republican presidential candidate, has an interesting perspective on the tumults of the civil rights era that swept through his Deep South state.
As Barbour recalls it in a new profile in The Weekly Standard, things werenât so bad in his hometown of Yazoo City, which took until 1970 to integrate its schools (though the final event itself is said to have gone on peacefully). For example, Barbour says that there was no problem of Ku Klux Klan activity in the town â thanks to the Citizens Council movement, an organization that was founded on the basis of resistance to integration and the promotion of white supremacy.
âYou heard of the Citizens Councils? Up north they think it was like the KKK,â said Barbour. âWhere I come from it was an organization of town leaders. In Yazoo City they passed a resolution that said anybody who started a chapter of the Klan would get their ass run out of town. If you had a job, youâd lose it. If you had a store, theyâd see nobody shopped there. We didnât have a problem with the Klan in Yazoo City.â
The White Citizens Council movement was founded in Mississippi in 1954, shortly after the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision that outlawed segregated public schools, and was dedicated to political activities opposing civil rights â notably boycotts of pro-civil rights individuals, as opposed to Barbourâs recollection of actions against the Klan. It was distinguished from the Klan by the public self-identification of its members, and its image of suits and ties as opposed to white robes and nooses
I do believe that Gov. Haley Barbour just killed any notion of him ever running for President. I knew he was from the south; but I really did not think he was this bad. đŻ

The Senate on Saturday blocked a bill that would have created a path to citizenship for certain young illegal immigrants who came to the United States as children, completed two years of college or military service and met other requirements, including passing a criminal background check.
The vote by 55-41 in favor of the bill, which is known as the Dream Act, effectively kills it for this year, and its fate is uncertain. The measure needed the support of 60 senators to cut off a filibuster and bring it to the floor.
Supporters said they were heartened that the measure won the backing of a majority of the Senate. They said they would continue to press for it, either on its own or as part of a wide immigration overhaul that some Democrats hope to undertake next year and believe could be an area of cooperation with Republicans, who will control a majority in the House.
Most immediately, the measure would have helped grant legal status to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrant students and recent graduates whose lives are severely restricted, though many have lived in the United States for nearly their entire lives.
Young Hispanic men and women filled the spectator galleries of the Senate, many of them wearing graduation caps and tassels in a symbol of their support for the bill. They held hands in a prayerful gesture as the clerk called the roll and many looked stricken as its defeat was announced.
President Obama had personally lobbied lawmakers in support the bill. But Democrats were not able to hold ranks.
Five Democrats joined Republicans in opposing the bill. They were Senators Max Baucus of Montana, Kay Hagan of North Carolina, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Mark Pryor of Arkansas and Jon Tester of Montana.
And three Republicans joined the balance of Democrats in favor of it: Robert Bennett of Utah, Richard Lugar of Indiana, and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.
Mr. Obama, in a statement, called the outcome âincredibly disappointingâ and said that he would continue fighting to win approval of the bill.
Which should prove that America is a center-right Country and that most Americans oppose any sort of disruption of what is commonly known as “RULE OF LAW.”
