Little Red Schoolhouse?
Looks like the Democrats did a little “Going Overboard” themselves!
Via Bryon York over the Washington Examiner:
The controversy over President Obama’s speech to the nation’s schoolchildren will likely be over shortly after Obama speaks today at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. But when President George H.W. Bush delivered a similar speech on October 1, 1991, from Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington DC, the controversy was just beginning. Democrats, then the majority party in Congress, not only denounced Bush’s speech — they also ordered the General Accounting Office to investigate its production and later summoned top Bush administration officials to Capitol Hill for an extensive hearing on the issue.
Unlike the Obama speech, in 1991 most of the controversy came after, not before, the president’s school appearance. The day after Bush spoke, the Washington Post published a front-page story suggesting the speech was carefully staged for the president’s political benefit. “The White House turned a Northwest Washington junior high classroom into a television studio and its students into props,” the Post reported.
With the Post article in hand, Democrats pounced. “The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students,” said Richard Gephardt, then the House Majority Leader. “And the president should be doing more about education than saying, ‘Lights, camera, action.'”
Democrats did not stop with words. Rep. William Ford, then chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, ordered the General Accounting Office to investigate the cost and legality of Bush’s appearance. On October 17, 1991, Ford summoned then-Education Secretary Lamar Alexander and other top Bush administration officials to testify at a hearing devoted to the speech. “The hearing this morning is to really examine the expenditure of $26,750 of the Department of Education funds to produce and televise an appearance by President Bush at Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington, DC,” Ford began. “As the chairman of the committee charged with the authorization and implementation of education programs, I am very much interested in the justification, rationale for giving the White House scarce education funds to produce a media event.”
The problem was that there was no harm done at all:
Unfortunately for Ford, the General Accounting Office concluded that the Bush administration had not acted improperly. “The speech itself and the use of the department’s funds to support it, including the cost of the production contract, appear to be legal,” the GAO wrote in a letter to Chairman Ford. “The speech also does not appear to have violated the restrictions on the use of appropriations for publicity and propaganda.”
The real sick and sad part is….this:
That didn’t stop Democratic allies from taking their own shots at Bush. The National Education Association denounced the speech, saying it “cannot endorse a president who spends $26,000 of taxpayers’ money on a staged media event at Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington, D.C. — while cutting school lunch funds for our neediest youngsters.”
Lost in all the denouncing and investigating was the fact that Bush’s speech itself, like Obama’s today, was entirely unremarkable. “Block out the kids who think it’s not cool to be smart,” the president told students. “If someone goofs off today, are they cool? Are they still cool years from now, when they’re stuck in a dead end job. Don’t let peer pressure stand between you and your dreams.
As I said yesterday; I feel that the reaction of the far right on this whole School speech was a bit of an overreaction. I believe in legitimate criticism of the President’s policies; when they are based on facts. But when they are based on paranoia and fear-mongering —- or worse, racism. That is when I have to politely object to the protests and howling of the far right. Personally, I do not feel that there is anything wrong with the Presidents encouraging young people to do well. Yes, I am aware of the books that some teachers were going to pass out and then quickly withdraw amid protests from parents. I am also aware of the subtext and context of recent events. But to say that this was a attempt at indoctrination or subterfuge to possess the minds of our young people, is a bit a stretch. If anything, it was a poorly planned or even possibly poorly timed event. Heck, for all we know, this school speech may have been planned long before this Van Jones controversy even broke.
I just believe that it is most tragic, is that the far right is making the same tragic reactionary mistakes, that the far left made during the tenure of the Bush Administration. The question that we Conservatives must ask ourselves is this; what exactly did the far left’s reactionary actions accomplish? The answer is, if you are being intellectually honest, is nothing. My question to my fellow Republican and Conservative Bloggers is this; do we really want to make the same tragic mistakes as the left did, during the Bush Administration? Do we really want to be known as the Party of reactionary politics?
I realize that some of my readers might be thinking; “This is coming from the same person, who wanted to see Obama’s Original long form Birth Certificate.” and I would like to see it. But I do not believe that it should define Conservatism or our movement of being the “Loyal Opposition.” This is why I do not really like to identify myself as a “Birther”; because I just really do not feel that we as Conservatives should be wasting our name on such trivial matters as this and over a school speech. What we should be focusing on, is the important issues, such as Obama’s attempt to push Socialized Healthcare and other such important matters, such as Foreign Policy and other such important matters.
Hopefully, you understand my feelings here.
Update: Of Course, stuff like this isn’t helping either…. Ugh. 🙄
I was not even going to Blog on this subject; because it was rooted in silliness on the far right.
But seeing the speech is out. Here’s my posting….
Here’s the full text of the speech, decide for yourselves if it is a evil communist indoctrination…or simply a President trying to get kids to do well in school.
Prepared Remarks of President Barack Obama
Back to School EventArlington, Virginia
September 8, 2009The President: Hello everyone – how’s everybody doing today? I’m here with students at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. And we’ve got students tuning in from all across America, kindergarten through twelfth grade. I’m glad you all could join us today.I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, it’s your first day in a new school, so it’s understandable if you’re a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now, with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade you’re in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer, and you could’ve stayed in bed just a little longer this morning.I know that feeling. When I was young, my family lived in Indonesia for a few years, and my mother didn’t have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday – at 4:30 in the morning. Now I wasn’t too happy about getting up that early. A lot of times, I’d fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever I’d complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and say, “This is no picnic for me either, buster.”So I know some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. But I’m here today because I have something important to discuss with you. I’m here because I want to talk with you about your education and what’s expected of all of you in this new school year. Now I’ve given a lot of speeches about education. And I’ve talked a lot about responsibility.I’ve talked about your teachers’ responsibility for inspiring you, and pushing you to learn.I’ve talked about your parents’ responsibility for making sure you stay on track, and get your homework done, and don’t spend every waking hour in front of the TV or with that Xbox.I’ve talked a lot about your government’s responsibility for setting high standards, supporting teachers and principals, and turning around schools that aren’t working where students aren’t getting the opportunities they deserve. But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the best schools in the world – and none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities. Unless you show up to those schools; pay attention to those teachers; listen to your parents, grandparents and other adults; and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. And that’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education. I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself.Every single one of you has something you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide.Maybe you could be a good writer – maybe even good enough to write a book or articles in a newspaper – but you might not know it until you write a paper for your English class. Maybe you could be an innovator or an inventor – maybe even good enough to come up with the next iPhone or a new medicine or vaccine – but you might not know it until you do a project for your science class. Maybe you could be a mayor or a Senator or a Supreme Court Justice, but you might not know that until you join student government or the debate team. And no matter what you want to do with your life – I guarantee that you’ll need an education to do it. You want to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a police officer? You want to be a nurse or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? You’re going to need a good education for every single one of those careers. You can’t drop out of school and just drop into a good job. You’ve got to work for it and train for it and learn for it.And this isn’t just important for your own life and your own future. What you make of your education will decide nothing less than the future of this country. What you’re learning in school today will determine whether we as a nation can meet our greatest challenges in the future. You’ll need the knowledge and problem-solving skills you learn in science and math to cure diseases like cancer and AIDS, and to develop new energy technologies and protect our environment. You’ll need the insights and critical thinking skills you gain in history and social studies to fight poverty and homelessness, crime and discrimination, and make our nation more fair and more free. You’ll need the creativity and ingenuity you develop in all your classes to build new companies that will create new jobs and boost our economy. We need every single one of you to develop your talents, skills and intellect so you can help solve our most difficult problems. If you don’t do that – if you quit on school – you’re not just quitting on yourself, you’re quitting on your country. Now I know it’s not always easy to do well in school. I know a lot of you have challenges in your lives right now that can make it hard to focus on your schoolwork.I get it. I know what that’s like. My father left my family when I was two years old, and I was raised by a single mother who struggled at times to pay the bills and wasn’t always able to give us things the other kids had. There were times when I missed having a father in my life. There were times when I was lonely and felt like I didn’t fit in.So I wasn’t always as focused as I should have been. I did some things I’m not proud of, and got in more trouble than I should have. And my life could have easily taken a turn for the worse. But I was fortunate. I got a lot of second chances and had the opportunity to go to college, and law school, and follow my dreams. My wife, our First Lady Michelle Obama, has a similar story. Neither of her parents had gone to college, and they didn’t have much. But they worked hard, and she worked hard, so that she could go to the best schools in this country. Some of you might not have those advantages. Maybe you don’t have adults in your life who give you the support that you need. Maybe someone in your family has lost their job, and there’s not enough money to go around. Maybe you live in a neighborhood where you don’t feel safe, or have friends who are pressuring you to do things you know aren’t right. But at the end of the day, the circumstances of your life – what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what you’ve got going on at home – that’s no excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude. That’s no excuse for talking back to your teacher, or cutting class, or dropping out of school. That’s no excuse for not trying.Where you are right now doesn’t have to determine where you’ll end up. No one’s written your destiny for you. Here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future. That’s what young people like you are doing every day, all across America.Young people like Jazmin Perez, from Roma, Texas. Jazmin didn’t speak English when she first started school. Hardly anyone in her hometown went to college, and neither of her parents had gone either. But she worked hard, earned good grades, got a scholarship to Brown University, and is now in graduate school, studying public health, on her way to being Dr. Jazmin Perez.I’m thinking about Andoni Schultz, from Los Altos, California, who’s fought brain cancer since he was three. He’s endured all sorts of treatments and surgeries, one of which affected his memory, so it took him much longer – hundreds of extra hours – to do his schoolwork. But he never fell behind, and he’s headed to college this fall. And then there’s Shantell Steve, from my hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Even when bouncing from foster home to foster home in the toughest neighborhoods, she managed to get a job at a local health center; start a program to keep young people out of gangs; and she’s on track to graduate high school with honors and go on to college.Jazmin, Andoni and Shantell aren’t any different from any of you. They faced challenges in their lives just like you do. But they refused to give up. They chose to take responsibility for their education and set goals for themselves. And I expect all of you to do the same. That’s why today, I’m calling on each of you to set your own goals for your education – and to do everything you can to meet them. Your goal can be something as simple as doing all your homework, paying attention in class, or spending time each day reading a book. Maybe you’ll decide to get involved in an extracurricular activity, or volunteer in your community. Maybe you’ll decide to stand up for kids who are being teased or bullied because of who they are or how they look, because you believe, like I do, that all kids deserve a safe environment to study and learn. Maybe you’ll decide to take better care of yourself so you can be more ready to learn. And along those lines, I hope you’ll all wash your hands a lot, and stay home from school when you don’t feel well, so we can keep people from getting the flu this fall and winter.Whatever you resolve to do, I want you to commit to it. I want you to really work at it.I know that sometimes, you get the sense from TV that you can be rich and successful without any hard work — that your ticket to success is through rapping or basketball or being a reality TV star, when chances are, you’re not going to be any of those things. But the truth is, being successful is hard. You won’t love every subject you study. You won’t click with every teacher. Not every homework assignment will seem completely relevant to your life right this minute. And you won’t necessarily succeed at everything the first time you try. That’s OK. Some of the most successful people in the world are the ones who’ve had the most failures. JK Rowling’s first Harry Potter book was rejected twelve times before it was finally published. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, and he lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots during his career. But he once said, “I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”These people succeeded because they understand that you can’t let your failures define you – you have to let them teach you. You have to let them show you what to do differently next time. If you get in trouble, that doesn’t mean you’re a troublemaker, it means you need to try harder to behave. If you get a bad grade, that doesn’t mean you’re stupid, it just means you need to spend more time studying. No one’s born being good at things, you become good at things through hard work. You’re not a varsity athlete the first time you play a new sport. You don’t hit every note the first time you sing a song. You’ve got to practice. It’s the same with your schoolwork. You might have to do a math problem a few times before you get it right, or read something a few times before you understand it, or do a few drafts of a paper before it’s good enough to hand in.Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I do that every day. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength. It shows you have the courage to admit when you don’t know something, and to learn something new. So find an adult you trust – a parent, grandparent or teacher; a coach or counselor – and ask them to help you stay on track to meet your goals. And even when you’re struggling, even when you’re discouraged, and you feel like other people have given up on you – don’t ever give up on yourself. Because when you give up on yourself, you give up on your country. The story of America isn’t about people who quit when things got tough. It’s about people who kept going, who tried harder, who loved their country too much to do anything less than their best. It’s the story of students who sat where you sit 250 years ago, and went on to wage a revolution and found this nation. Students who sat where you sit 75 years ago who overcame a Depression and won a world war; who fought for civil rights and put a man on the moon. Students who sat where you sit 20 years ago who founded Google, Twitter and Facebook and changed the way we communicate with each other. So today, I want to ask you, what’s your contribution going to be? What problems are you going to solve? What discoveries will you make? What will a president who comes here in twenty or fifty or one hundred years say about what all of you did for this country?Your families, your teachers, and I are doing everything we can to make sure you have the education you need to answer these questions. I’m working hard to fix up your classrooms and get you the books, equipment and computers you need to learn. But you’ve got to do your part too. So I expect you to get serious this year. I expect you to put your best effort into everything you do. I expect great things from each of you. So don’t let us down – don’t let your family or your country or yourself down. Make us all proud. I know you can do it.Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America.
I have been so busy as of late; Writing about crazy Communists and their resignations in Obama’s White House, that I have been slacking in my video postings. Sorry. 🙁 A one man operation can only do so much. 😀
Here’s two from the guys over at RedState update:
First up a very funny, but quite offensive tribute to Ted Kennedy:
…and an alternative to Obama’s School Speech: (Content Warning! Half Naked Chicks, Booze and Sex!)
That is correct, we are now the terrorists; that is according to the far left African-American wing of the Democratic Party.
I am, of course, referring to this absolutely asinine rant here. I would quote that bunch of nonsensical prattle on this blog and respond to it directly; but I am afraid that my emotions would get the best of me and I would say something that I might regret later. Leave it to the idiotic Socialist Liberal Democrats, to turn a fact finding mission, about an admitted Communist, who said everything and I do mean everything; under the damn sun about white people into a “White vs Black” witch hunt; starring of course; Glenn Beck.
The truth is folks, this had nothing to do with “White vs Black” and everything to do with Right vs Wrong. In fact, here is Glenn Back’s Statement about Van Jones’s ouster:
The American people stood up and demanded answers. Instead of providing them, the Administration had Jones resign under cover of darkness. I continue to be amazed by the power of everyday Americans to initiate change in our government through honest questioning, and judging by the other radicals in the administration, I expect that questioning to continue for the foreseeable future.
That is the truth about what really happened people. The Socialist Liberals seem to forget something; and that is that not every person under the Sun voted for Barack Obama. Some that voted for radical extremists like Bob Barr, some that wrote in the name of the crazy extremist Texas Representative Ron Paul, some that actually held their noses and voted for Moderate Republican John McCain and his V.P. Pick Caribou Barbie; er, um, I mean, Sarah Palin.
That my friends is 42% of this Country of ours. Yes, President Obama won fair and square; there is no disputing that. But he won the election for President of the United States of America and NOT President of the Democratic Party; NOT President of extreme socialist wing of the Democratic Party, not President of the Socialist States of America, not the President of the African-American wing of the Democratic Party —- But the United States of America. President Barack Obama is the American people’s President and we, as Americans, have a obligation as United States citizens to hold this President accountable for every last damn decision that he and congress make. The same was true with George W. Bush and the Republican Congress and the same is and will be true with THIS President and this Congress.
We just cannot allow, nor can we afford, to become complacent in our attitude towards politics and Washington D.C. and most importantly about the Obama Administration. That is what the Obama Administration wants; everyone just to tune out and let them handle everything. Let me be the first to say this; as a Independent Conservative writer, and not as a Republican —– that complacency is what got this Country in this mess in the first place. What am I talking about? I am referring to the last nine years in the Country. Back in 2000. There was an election, we elected George W. Bush, then the day after the election, the America said, “Okay, that is over with!” and they proceeded to tune out politics and went back to their normal lives. Then 9/11 happened and everybody paid attention again, and that lasted about a month or so, maybe two or three; but by the time December of 2001 had rolled around the majority of America had moved on or lost interest. Then 2003 rolled around, George W. Bush sort of declared war against a Country that had zero to do with the 9/11 attacks. All because upon intelligence that we now know was horribly bad. Again, everyone paid attention, for a while, maybe for about a month or so. But then, the story got to be old hat and the majority of Americans lost interest. Then came 2006, the Iraq War turned ugly — troops started dying in mass; and the American people got angry and started demanding answers. Changes were made, idiots were fired, and a magical surge happened and everything was fine again, and again the people tuned Washington D.C. and the President out, again.
Then came the 2008 elections, which really started way back in 2007. I know, I blogged about them; daily. The American people started, ever so slowly to pay attention again, weary from the Bush Years, people wanted change. Then in the middle of the horse race in 2008, the economic bubble burst and burst bad it did. This is when everyone and I do mean everyone began to pay attention. What would President Bush do? What would become of our Nation? The American people actually said, “What will become…of me?” Bush did what any beltway Conservative does in time of crisis; he became a Democrat and started trying to prime the pump. He threw money at the Bankers and very quickly left the scene. By this time, the damned world was watching and some, were scratching their heads and wondering; “What on earth are these people doing to our Nation?”
Then the day of reckoning arrived; November 4, 2008. The Nation was in dire need of change and a new President; and the American people did what our Constitution guarantees us —- A right to vote. During the election, Conservatives like myself, raised our objections to the Democratic forerunner and his policies. But, the majority of the American people either were not listening or just simply did not care. They wanted a change in direction and boy did they ever get one!
Six months have passed now and Obama’s mantra of Hope and Change is now soured and the very people that voted for him are not shaking their fists in disgust at this President. His policies are failing, tax cheats have bailed, a Communist has resigned over furor of statements made by him. His own very base is now turning on him.
Where am I going with this? What is my point?
My point is this. The American people are actually paying attention to what you do, Mr. President. Do not deceive yourself into believing that you can just do what you damned well please. Your backroom deals with big pharma will come back to haunt you in 2012. Your feeble attempt to fix this economy has essentially failed. You hired a racist-baiting, bigoted, Communist for a “Green Jobs Czar.” The American people, with the assistance of the Conservative Blogosphere; you know those 42% of Americans that did not vote for you. —- have become well informed of you actions sir. We will continue to fight for what we believe in, Mr President.
We are the loyal opposition. We have nothing to apologize for….. and we’re not going any damned where. Mr. President we elected you and we will make sure, that you are doing your job. We cannot ever afford to tune out, nor will we ever do so again.

Jane Hamsher, of whom I happen to think is one of the better looking liberals out there —- can be accused of being many things, but a coward is not one of them.
Putting it point blank, the broad has got gonads. Big, Twelve Pound Gonads; For writing something like this right here:
Wow, is that a way to encourage your team or what.
If these groups, if these liberal leaders, let Jones just hang there while Glenn Beck pounds his chest and celebrates the scalp, we have no liberal institutions. What we have are a bunch of neoliberal enablers who have found a nice comfortable place in the DC establishment that they don’t want to jeopardize, a place on the new K-Street gravy train that they don’t want to lose. Dropping Van Jones from their rolodex is a small price to pay.
If there is going to be a serious progressive movement in this country capable of standing up for health care against an industry that spends $1.4 million a day on lobbying, we can’t just look to the members of the Progressive Caucus and say “hey, you, get something done.” They need cover. They need to know that they will be supported. And people like Van Jones who have given their lives to causes we say we value like prison reform and environmental advocacy need to know that they will be defended, and not handed over to Glenn Beck as an acceptable casualty in the battle for K-Street dollars.
So to all you liberal organizations in the “veal pen” — this is your moment of truth. I get all your emails. And the next Common Purpose meeting is probably on Tuesday. If you can’t get it together to at least put out a statement of support for Van Jones and condemn the White House for using him as a sacrificial lamb to right wing extremists that will devour us all if left unchecked, it’s time to add “proudly liberal only when it doesn’t matter” to your logo and be done with it.
Me and Jane Hamsher most likely agree on politics about as much as Marilyn Murray O’Hair and Billy Graham did on the Gospel of Jesus Christ —- But it is quite refreshing to see someone, especially someone within the ranks of liberals, standing up to the beltway crowd and telling it exactly like it is about them.
Another Blogger who’s about as mean and possibly about as damn ugly as I am; Dennis the Peasant weighs in:
Jane sees this in terms of a good, old-fashioned sell-out. I don’t, although I admire her honesty in calling it as she sees it. The bottom line, I think, is this: A couple of months ago Van Jones was cool. Now he’s not.
Let’s face it, every liberal worth his or her salt wants a radical negro friend. You know, the hint of danger and all that… The suggestion that one is risking something and taking a stand. It’s the sort of thing that scores points at cocktail parties.
What Jane’s forgotten is this: It’s important to remember that suburban Marxists are just that… suburbanMarxists. They are never to be relied upon because they are fundamentally unserious. These are people who spend their lives pretending to have a cause. Wanting Van Jones around was never about Van Jones, it was about them.
Van Jones was the political equivalent of a Toyota Prius: You don’t buy a Prius because you’re serious about saving the planet, you buy a Prius because of what you think it will say about you. A Prius gives you permission to feel you’re superior to others without actually having done anything.
So it was with Van Jones. He was in. He was cool. And people wanted to be around him. Not because he’d done good things in prison reform or environmentalism. And certainly not because of their affinity for his politics. No they wanted to be around him because, like that Prius, Van Jones was a liberal fashion statement…
Look at Me! I know a radical negro! Aren’t I cool?
Now Van Jones isn’t cool. He carries baggage that could be embarrassing – or even vaguely threatening – to your average suburban Marxist. So he’s gone… Soon to be replaced with someone – or something – else. Fashion is, after all, fashion. It was never meant to be permanent.
Is it any wonder Van Jones went down without a sound?
See what I mean about the mean and ugly thing? 😮 However, He does have point. Van Jones was a means to an end. Now that he is damaged goods, nobody wants to touch him. But then again, that is how the Democrats have done things like this for years. They use people; Poor people, Black People, Gay people and so on. It’s called pandering for votes. Something liberal Democrats have done for years.
So, Jane, if you happen to read this —- Kudo’s to you. 😀 From a FORMER Blue Dog/Reagan Democrat turned Conservative. 🙂
I was afraid something like this was going to start.
Due to the stupid behavior of Van Jones and his subsequent resignation. The liberal MSM is now gearing up for a return attack against Glenn Beck; and they are employing the services of the Liberal Blogosphere to do so.
To his much deserved Credit, Ed Morrissey predicted that this would happen:
What exactly does that mean? In the next Republican administration, we can expect a great deal of scrutiny for Presidential advisers. For one thing, it means that no one who ever expressed public support for Birthers to get the benefit of the doubt. The two conspiracy theories are different, but they both are entirely speculative and imagine dark conspiracies at the highest orbits of power, and neither have any actual direct evidence for support. Anyone who signed a Birther petition can expect to get bypassed for political appointments in a Republican White House with a halfway-decent vetting team, strictly on the basis of politics, in the wake of Jones’ resignation.
The media and the leftward parts of the New Media will get to work in the meantime on advisers and staffers of Republicans in Congress, and in the New Media itself. They will use the Van Jones Standard to launch attacks on high-profile conservatives, looking for everything from John Birch Society membership to militias and Birtherism as well. They have done this all along, but the Left and the media will find much more enthusiasm for these efforts in order to trade Van Jones’ scalp for one or more on the Right.
Ed has never been wrong before; and it appears that it is already starting against Glenn Beck. RedState’s Erick Erickson has discovered an Plea Entry over at DailyKos from none other than the DNC’s chief spokesperson himself; Keith Olbermann, asking for any and all dirt on Glenn Beck and his producers and anyone else over at Fox News.
Quote: (H/T to this story to GOP NEWS on Twitter)
I don’t know why I’ve got this phrasing in my head, but: Find everything you can about Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere, and Roger Ailes.
No, even now, I refuse to go all caps.
No, sending me links to the last two Countdowns with my own de-constructions of his biblical vision quality Communist/Fascist/Socialist/Zimbalist art at Rockefeller Center (where, curiously, he works, Comrade) doesn’t count. Nor does sending me links to specious inappropriate point-underscoring prove-you’re-innocent made-up rumors.
Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here.
Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes’ power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony “truce” push).
This becomes necessary after this in order to prove various cliches about goose and gander, and to remind everybody to walk softly and carry a big popsicle, and most particularly to save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.
I keep wondering if somewhere somebody named Ollie Garhey thinks he’s in charge now. Or, even more entertainingly and societally satisfying, if somebody named Ali Garhi does.
Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here.
You almost hear the desperation in that posting above. The Liberals took a massive pounding and they are in earnest trying to find a way to volley a return fire at Glenn Beck. If you believe that they are going to stop with Glenn Beck; you are kidding yourselves. My suggestion to ALL Conservative Bloggers is this. Girt your loins, prepare for attacks on your blogs, by Socalists. If you are running WordPress Blogs, update to the latest version of WordPress. Because right now, there is a worm spreading around that is taking out older versions of WordPress. I would expect that these socialist minions are more than willing to try DOS attacks on blogs. Especially high profile Blogs. If you do not have a good relations with your host. Now would be a good time to start one or find a host that is blogger friendly.
It is not my intention to scare anyone or anything of that nature. But it would be prudent of all of us; that if we continue to challenge this Administration; we must be prepared for the fallout and for any sort blow-back that might result from the resignation of Obama Administration officials. Remember we are doing the Lord’s work. This is our God-Given Country, and we must stand up for the principles that this Country was founded upon; which are God-Breathed. While I do not view all Democrats as my enemy per-say; I view socialists and Socialism, especially of the Saul Alinsky strand, to be an Enemy of America; right up there with Al-Qaeda. We must be strong, we must be wise and above all, we must be ready.

Score one for the team! An Obama Administration official HAS RESIGNED because of the uproar from the Conservative new media!
President Barack Obama’s adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.
Van Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly “green jobs,” has been linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the Sept. 11 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.
Jones issued an apology on Thursday. When asked the next day whether Obama still had confidence in him, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said only that Jones “continues to work in the administration.”
The matter surfaced after news reports of a derogatory comment Jones made in the past about Republicans, and separately, of Jones’s name appearing on a petition connected to the events surrounding 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon.
That 2004 petition had asked for congressional hearings and other investigations into whether high-level government officers had allowed the attacks to occur.
Jones flatly said in his statement that he did not agree with the petition’s stand and that “it certainly does not reflect my views, now or ever.”
As for his other comments he made before joining Obama’s team, Jones said: “If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize.”
The Washington Post Blog, 44, has the Jones Statement:
“I am resigning my post at the Council on Environmental Quality, effective today,” Jones said in a statement dated Sept 5 released around midnight on Sept 6.
“On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me.They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide,” he continued. “I have been inundated with calls — from across the political spectrum — urging me to ‘stay and fight.’ But I came here to fight for others, not for myself. I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future.”
Wait a second, you mean to tell me, that this stupid idiot thinks that these videos here; are distortions?!?!??! I think not. This idiot got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and now he’s out. Good thing too.
Well, that’s one down and many more to go.
But tonight, we celebrate!
Update: A little something from my friends at Free Republic Forum:
DUmmies Sobbings Their Little Hearts Out Over Loss of Racist “Truther” Van Jones (VANITY)

Enjoy their sweet, sweet pain and lamentations.
… and, for those who prefer to watch KOSsacks suffer and writhe in delicious torment: here. 😉
…and the photo of the weekend:

PWNED!
Too Awesome!
Update: AllahPundit Writes:
How I like to imagine Obama broke the news: “Let me be clear: Pack your sh*t.”
Oh man, that’s pee in the pants funny! I haven’t laughed like that in a while. Thanks Allah. 😀
Michelle Malkin, as always, is on top the fact that Liberal MSM is going to try and make this idiot into a martyr.
As always, Thanks to Memeornadum for the pull!
I mean I have seen some serious shit in my my days here on this earth. Me being from Southwest Detroit and all. But this stuff here; takes the farking cake bad!
Check out these videos:
Here’s the first one, Van Jones basically calling George W. Bush a oil crack head….or something. (H/T HotAir)
The basically calling Middle American White kids killers and crazy or something…: (H/T HotAir)
Here he is in some sort of whacked out Music recording accusing White people of just every damn thing under the sun. (H/T HotAir)
Here’s Van Jones glorifying the doctrine of Communism:
Here some more kicker information on this whack job idiot. This dude supported Cop-Killer Death row inmate Mumia Abu Jamal: (H/T HotAir)
More than 150 demonstrators marched from 14th Street and Broadway to the Oakland Federal Building to demand that the Justice Department re-open its corruption investigation of the Philadelphia Police Department.
Supporters of Mumia Abu-Jamal, a death row inmate convicted for the 1981 shooting death of a Philadelphia police officer, said the protest was called after the Supreme Court on Monday rejected claims that Abu-Jamal, a former radio journalist and Black Panther, did not receive a fair trial.
“We knew there was another event going on, but the timing of the court decision is what dictated when the protest was held,” said Van Jones, a San Francisco civil rights lawyer who helped coordinate the protest march.
Jones said about 15 protesters occupied the rotunda at the Federal Building on Clay Street in an act of civil disobedience with the hope they would be arrested.
Okay, I am just going to say this and if pisses people off; tough. This dude was not vetted, and was basically given this damn job; because he was black. Point.farking.blank. If this dude was white and he had said the moral equivalent, about black people; what this guy said about Whites, This dude would have been out of a job, quicker than a New York minute. But, because he is a black man and is in tight with Bambi, he still has a job and still is working for the White House. That is not racist, that my friends, is reality!
So, what does the Socialist left do, when they are beginning to feel the heat, because of Van Jones? They do the oldest trick in the book.
You can see a perfect example of that, by clicking right here. They are now accusing Glenn Beck and the right of assembling a “Lynch Mob” against Van Jones. Go look, it is their words, not mine.
The part that is totally wild is this; Obama has painted himself into quite the corner on this one. Because if Obama cuts this guy loose. The far African-American left is going to turn on him, like a rabid dog. Not to mention the fact, that if Obama and Congress drops the Health-care Bill or passes it without the public option. The far left is really going to turn on him. However, I do not think it will get a chance to pass, because there have already been rumblings that indicate that if the bill has not public option, it will get no support at all. If this happens, Obama’s support among the progressives will erode and I do mean badly.
Either way, this is not going end will for the President. It is going to get much uglier, before it gets any prettier. It like watching a train wreak fixing to happen. You want to look, but you feel horrible about doing so….. and this Amtrak is about to hit the damn wall —- Hard.
Update: No Sooner than I wrote this posting. Mr. Jones Resigned.
Update #2: Stop the ACLU links in; Thank you! Right Wing News Links in; Thank you! Pirate’s Cove Links in; Thank You!
Update #3: As Always, A big thanks to Memeorandum for the Pull!
Yes, I know about it. I also about the spinning and the denial.
To me, it just speaks of the inability of this White House Administration to properly vet its staff. I mean, it is pretty freakin’ bad when the Conservative Blogosphere is doing your job for you. It is truly pathetic.
There is not much, that I can add to what has already been said. I think Mr. Jones will be out by Tuesday at the latest.
You can read the round up on this one on Memeorandum.
Patrick Ruffini lamenting that the Conservative movement is not being taken seriously by anyone, but maybe themselves laments:
Over the last few days, Jon Henke has laid out the case for the Right more strongly disavowing outfits like WorldNetDaily that actively peddle Birther nonsense. To the extent the mainstream Right has weighed in, it has been to urge Jon to ignore WND and move on, in the interests avoiding an intra-movement civil war. Some have even tried to subtly distance Jon from the conservative movement, saying his views don’t represent those of most conservatives. Many on the Right have made the calculation that however distasteful their views, a public fight with the Birthers just isn’t worth it.
As a fiscal and social conservative, I happen to think Jon is completely in the right here, both substantively and strategically. Don’t raise the canard that we ought to be attacking Democrats first. Conservatives are entirely within their rights to have public debates over who will publicly represent them, and who will be allowed to affiliate with the conservative movement.
The Birthers are the latest in a long line of paranoid conspiracy believers of the left and right who happen to attach themselves to notions that simply are not true. Descended from the 9/11 Truthers, the LaRouchies, the North American Union buffs, and way back when, the John Birch Society, the Birthers are hardly a new breed in American politics.
Each and every time they have appeared, mainstream conservatives from William F. Buckley to Ronald Reagan have risen to reject these influences — and I expect that will be the case once again here.
But there is another subtext that makes Jon’s appeal more urgent. As a pretty down-the-line conservative, I don’t believe I am alone in noting with disappointment the trivialization, excessive sloganeering, and pettiness that has overtaken the movement of late. In “The Joe the Plumberization of the GOP,” I argued that conservatives have grown too comfortable with wearing scorn as a badge of honor, content to play sarcastic second fiddle to the dominant culture of academia and Hollywood with second-rate knock-off institutions. A side effect of this has been a tendency to accept conspiracy nuts as a slightly cranky edge case within the broad continuum of conservatism, rather than as a threat to the movement itself.
Via Can We Have Buckley Back? | The Next Right.
However, the real reasons that the Conservative movement is in the shape that it is in, is found right in the comments section of “The Next Right”
First there’s this:
I don’t know if you consider them elites, but I did—and I suspect many Republicans did as well.
Peggy Noonan
David Brooks
David Frum,
And, last but certainly not least, Kathleen Parker.
At a time when we were trying to win the 2008 elections, this crew was bashing Sarah Palin full-time. The time for bashing had past; the time for banding together to win an election was at hand. And what did this crew of elites do? Elites, thank you very little. You played no small part in the fact that we now have an administration that has abandoned our ally Honduras and is spending our grandchildren into poverty.
The real way Bill Buckley saved conservatism was by inspiring Ronald Reagan, Tommy Thompson, John Engler, Newt Gingrich and others to enter the political world. You know—the place where we pick people that actually MAKE LAWS, instead of writing witty op-eds and appearing on Hardball.
Recently, we watched another conservative elite, Charles Krauthammer, tell the world that Sarah Palin was unfit to engage in the healthcare debate…at the same time that her “death panels” charge helped sway the tone of debate against Obamacare.
Sorry, but I’m less than impressed with GOP elites. They stabbed us in the back in 2008. Fool me once..
….and then, there is this:
We didn’t abandon you during the election, you abandoned us by nominating a weak liberal republican and a semi-retarded christian fundy. I’m not going to change my views to “fit in” with the GOP if that’s the way they want to represent me.
During 2008, I was bashing McCain and palin ( as well as Obongo ). I will continue to bash these type republicans until they get out of my party.
I would say that both of these are basically correct. Not to mention electing and then reelecting a President who’s Wilsonian foreign policy forced him to invade a Country that had zero to do with 9/11. That is why McCain was not elected and, too, because black people actually voted in this election. Not say that there is anything wrong with that fact; just making a point. Also, Obama’s campaign was just better ran and his message more clear. John McCain was too damn busy suspending his campaign to look like a hero. Which actually made him look like an idiot. Hence the reason he lost also.
I could go on and on. However, I think you know what I mean.
Update: Robert Stacey McCain basically agrees with me about WND and the Birthers. Now McCain and Palin are another story. He loves that feckless Woman. I, on the other hand, think that she is an idiot.
Update #2: Around the Sphere has a round up on the subject, all the while ignoring me.
Synopsis: Steven Crowder explains how reasonable people are facing unreasonable consequences for not supporting gay marriage and imagines what other parades would look like if they were more like gay pride parades.
My Buddy Sammy over at “Yid with a Lid” has pointed out some interesting things about the so-called’ “Public Option. Looks like we should not break out the bubbly just yet:
* House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she is firmly committed to passing a comprehensive healthcare reform bill with a public insurance option despite signals from top White House aides that the president may forge another path to gain bipartisan approval. “We can’t pass a bill without a public option,” Pelosi told reporters after speaking at a healthcare event hosted by the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce in her home district.
* The AFL-CIO drew a line in the sand today, saying a health care reform bill must include three specific elements — including a government-sponsored health insurance plan, or “public option” — in order to win their support.
* Democracy for America, the liberal advocacy group founded by former Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean, expects the president to reiterate his support for the public option when he addresses Congress next week, DFA spokeswoman Mary Rickles said. Meanwhile, she said, her group and its 400,000 members will continue to pressure members of Congress to back the proposal. “Any member of Congress who votes for a bill without a public option and against the wishes of the American people will stand alone for reelection,” she said.
* With or without any skeletons in their closet, members of Congress should feel pressured to vote for a public option if they want to keep their seats, argues the group the Progressive Change Campaign Committee.
* House Progressive Caucus co-chair Lynn Woolsey, D-Calif., said it will be a “grave error” for Congress to draft a health care reform bill that does not include a government run health insurance option and she believes there are enough liberal lawmakers to block its passage. Woolsey said she is setting up a meeting with President Barack Obama, who this week signaled that he would not insist that a public option be a component of the health care reform bill that is to be the crowning achievement of his first term in office. “The president must support,” a strong public option, Woolsey said, “and he must tell the Senate to get its act together.”
So, before everyone celebrates, keep vigil until after this bill officially dies. Because you know Democrats, you let your guard up for one minute and they will sneak something through, when we are not looking. Kudo’s to Sammy for pointing all this out to us. Good Job! 😀
Otherwise, stuff like this here is just gonna keep on happening.
The Video:
The Story KTLA:
A 65-year-old man had his finger bitten off Wednesday evening at a health care rally in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s investigators were called to Hillcrest and Lynn Road at 7:26 p.m.
About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform. A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.
A witness from the scene says a man was walking through the anti-reform group to get to the pro-reform side when he got into an altercation with the 65-year-old, who opposes health care reform.
The 65-year-old was apparently aggressive and hit the other man, who then retaliated by biting off his attacker’s pinky, according to Karoli from DrumsnWhistles, who attended the rally.
The man took his finger and walked to Los Robles hospital for treatment. Doctors reattached the finger, which was said to have been severed in half. He has since been released, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Neither man has been identified.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Frank O’Hanlon says the man had Medicare.
Sheriff’s officials are investigating the incident.
Seriously, Obama should at least provide food for his supporters of his Socialized Health-care plan. 😛
The Confederate Yankee says that Obama’s new Motto should be Yes We Cannibal! 😆
But seriously, I think there was wrong doing on both sides and the police should have a bit more attentive to who was where and what they were doing. The man who is against the healthcare bill should not have punched anyone and of course; the man took at bit too far biting the man’s finger off.
I think everyone and I do mean everyone; needs to take a step back and relax. The President is supposed to make an address and I believe that he is going to make it clear, that he is not going to push for the public option. Some are claiming that they are going to try and rename it. I highly doubt that to be the case, because President Obama is taking great heat for that proposal and I doubt that he or the Congress at this point, would try and sneak anything in, as they are quite aware that people are actually reading the bills.
But honestly….. Biting off fingers!?!?!? Eeeeewwwww! 😮 😯

This is such a good thing to hear…:
After an August recess marked by raucous town halls, troubling polling data and widespread anecdotal evidence of a volatile electorate, the small universe of political analysts who closely follow House races is predicting moderate to heavy Democratic losses in 2010.
Some of the most prominent and respected handicappers can now envision an election in which Democrats suffer double-digit losses in the House — not enough to provide the 40 seats necessary to return the GOP to power but enough to put them within striking distance.
Top political analyst Charlie Cook, in a special August 20 update to subscribers, wrote that “the situation this summer has slipped completely out of control for President Obama and congressional Democrats.”
“Many veteran congressional election watchers, including Democratic ones, report an eerie sense of déjà vu, with a consensus forming that the chances of Democratic losses going higher than 20 seats is just as good as the chances of Democratic losses going lower than 20 seats,” he wrote.
At the mid-August Netroots Nation convention, Nate Silver, a Democratic analyst whose uncannily accurate, stat-driven predictions have made his website FiveThirtyEight.com a must read among political junkies, predicted that Republicans will win between 20 and 50 seats next year. He further alarmed an audience of progressive activists by arguing that the GOP has between a 25 and 33 percent chance of winning back control of the House.
via Experts see double-digit Dem losses – Josh Kraushaar – POLITICO.com.
This reason why this is such a good thing is this; because of this, I believe that the Democrats will abandon the idea of Nationalized Healthcare. The reason why these numbers are so high is this; The Democrats, as I have written many times before, have overreached horribly after the 2008 election. They saw this economic crisis and the abject failure of the Bush Administration, as a chance to push through their progressive agenda. There was one thing, however, that the Democrats did not plan on; resistance. That would be the resistance from the 42% of Americans that voted for John McCain.
These number simply prove what I have believed all along. That not everyone in America is lockstep with the progressive wing of the Democratic Party; and their Identity Politics, Post Racial-Racialism, and the general Chicago style of politics that this Presidential Administration’s modus operandi.
For Republicans, this is their chance, put seeing their spokespersons are Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin. I do not expect much out of them; at least not in 2010.

Since the last time that Google Adsense sent me a check. This Blog has made $217.83 as of today. Recently, I received a payment of $179.25. I know what some of your thinking. You are most likely snickering at the amount. 😛
To be quite honest, that is pretty darned good for a newer Blog and a Political one for that matter. Not to mention a Conservative Blog that is totally independent and not affiliated with any sort of special interest group and one that has not done any real advertising.
My Hosting provider; Ryan Yaple, of EWF Media will be getting a PayPal payment from me for giving me the hosting for all this time. Just as soon as it is released to me, to transfer it to him. 🙄 Funny how slow that is.
One of the biggest and greatest rules of success in small business or in building a business; is celebrating one’s accomplishments. Even the small ones.
So, I did. I drove over to the local Meijer’s here in my local city and bought me a nice whole round, boneless steak. I went out back and fired up Dad’s grill and this was the result:
(Click the picture to make the Photo Bigger)
Another shot:
In case you cannot tell, that is two different pieces of steak there, and not one big one. Yes, I ate it all and yes, it was quite tasty. 😀
The real awesome part about all of this is this; I did not need the Government to give me a hand out to achieve all this. I did it all by myself. (With the help of a good friend of mine as well…) I earned the money from the advertisements the right way and not though scams or deceptions. All Because I dared to put up a Blog that criticizes the socialist politics of the B. Hussein Obama Administration.
A Round of Thank You’s
Again, A big thank you to my hosting provider, Ryan Yaple of EWF Media, who hails from Brighton, Michigan. Who felt sorry for me; when I got jerked around by a guy who thought it would be cool to take my money and then renege on a verbal agreement. Ryan, again, I will say it. You are the best that America has young man. That money will be in your hands, just as soon PayPal lets me have it! 🙄 😉 😀 😆
Another Big thank you is to my faithful readers; you know who you are. I see the site numbers and I see who reads what. Thank you for clicking the banner ads. Every little bit helps. Please note, that there is a PayPal donation button on here; it is on the right, at the top. Also, please note, that I have 3 ad spots on BlogAds. and 4 ad spots on Project Wonderful. Although, many people do not know this or do not want to hear it. But much of the financing for 9/11 came out of the UAE.
Anyhow, there’s this:
The United Arab Emirates has seized a ship carrying North Korean-manufactured munitions, detonators, explosives and rocket-propelled grenades bound for Iran in violation of United Nations sanctions, diplomats said.
The UAE two weeks ago notified the UN Security Council of the seizure, according to the diplomats, who spoke on condition they aren’t named because the communication hasn’t been made public. They said the ship, owned by an Australian subsidiary of a French company and sailing under a Bahamian flag, was carrying 10 containers of arms disguised as oil equipment.
The council committee that monitors enforcement of UN sanctions against North Korea wrote letters to Iran and the government in Pyongyang asking for explanations of the violation, and one to the UAE expressing appreciation for the cooperation, the envoys said. No response has been received and the UAE has unloaded the cargo, they said.
The UAE and Iranian missions to the UN didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment. The Financial Times reported the weapons seizure earlier today.
via UAE Seizes North Korean Weapons Shipment to Iran (Update2) – Bloomberg.com.
This is what happens when you do the whole “Carrot and Stick” approach to countries like North Korea and Iran. They simply find ways to go around you. I really believe that the United Nations really needs to rethink their strategy with Iran. Because it is obvious to this Conservative writer, that Iran has no intention of abiding by the rules. I am not saying that it is time for war with Iran; not at all. At least not with our Country leading the charge. Because, in case anyone has not noticed, We are a bit occupied ourselves. I believe some of the other countries in that region need to step up and put a stop to this nonsense, once and for all.
Blackfive asks some very important questions:
Now this brings up all kinds of questions. How did the UAE find out? Did we know? Did we tell them? Inquiring minds want to know. Also how does this affect our global tyrant outreach project? Clenched? Unclenched? Hmmm
Those are some good questions. I would also like to know, who tipped off the Financial Times people? I also wonder, what will our feckless fearless leader’s next move will be? Because you know good and well that the Liberal base is not going to approve of him going into Iran or North Korea; even if Obama ordered a small support group to go in and assist any other countries that wanted to invade either Country, the base would totally turn on him. I mean, hell, the left is desperately wanting to pull us out of Afghanistan and Iraq; before the job is even done. They have been trying to do that for years. Do you think they would just sit idly by and allow President Obama to take us into another Military conflict? I do not think so. I mean, “Hope and Change” can only get a man so far. Especially when it comes to the very far left. I mean, they’re already calling Obama a fascist in some quarters of the left as it is already.
Either way this is going to be a very interesting development and it will be interesting to see how Obama handles the situation and it will be interesting to see how the far socialist/liberal Left reacts to Obama’s actions. I also would like to see what the Liberal Media’s reaction will be to this story and to how Obama reacts to it as well; will they be just as critical to Obama as they were Bush? or will they continue to give Obama the “free ride” that they have given him so far? It should be very interesting.
Take a listen:
That is none other than Democrat Rep. Diane Watson of California. The race-baiting bitch from hell.
Partial Transcript: (H/T Michelle Malkin)
WATSON: You might have heard their philosophical leader. I think his name is Rush Limbaugh. And he said early on, “I hope that he fails.”
Do you know what that means? If the president, your commander-in-chief, fails, America fails.
Now, when a senator says that this will be his Waterloo, and we all know what happened at Waterloo, then we have him and he fails. Do we want a failed state called the United States?
And remember: They are spreading fear and they are trying to see that the first president that looks likes me fails.
Now just understand what’s at the bottom line.
And you know we just got, 48 hours ago, we just go back, we were in Beijing, China, Hong Kong, China, we were in Taiwan, we were in Guam, we were all over the Far East.
I just want you to know: People look at the United States as a country that has changed its way and has elected someone from Kenya and Kansas, I’ll put it like that.
And they’re saying, “We thought you would never do that.”
So we don’t want to have this young man, and he just turned 48 — we want him to succeed, because when he succeeds, we regain our status. We regain our status.
It was just mentioned to me by our esteemed speaker, “Did anyone say anything about the Cuban health system?”
And lemme tell ya, before you say “Oh, it’s a commu–”, you need to go down there and see what Fidel Castro put in place. And I want you to know, now, you can think whatever you want to about Fidel Castro, but he was one of the brightest leaders I have ever met. [APPLAUSE]
And you know, the Cuban revolution that kicked out the wealthy, Che Guevara did that, and then, after they took over, they went out among the population to find someone who could lead this new nation, and they found…well, just leave it there (laughs), an attorney by the name of Fidel Castro…

At one point, I had written that I was not going to publish this man’s videos anymore; and I do not make a habit of it. His comment about our Military over on The American Conservative‘s Blog called “Post Right” was the end for me.
However, this video does make a good point and so, I will post it; with a comment at the end.

I posted this, because I happen to agree with Jack’s stance on progressive policy on economics. But because I am “Fair and Balanced”, I will tell you, what others will not about the “Paleo-Conservative” or the “Taft” wing of the Republican Party as it is called by some. If it were left to these guys; such as Jack Hunter and his two hero-like personalities like Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul —- America would have never went to war with Germany, at all. Hitler would have allowed to exterminate the Jews. Something that I am told Pat Buchanan has said that he wished happened, when he was around some friends once; which goes back to the old school catholic hatred of the Jews and their religion. Further more, most people of the Paleo-Conservative strand believe that Abraham Lincoln was a traitor. Not only to the White Man; but also to the South for the way he conducted the Civil War. Which Jack claims was not about race. (Wink Wink) But rather about Centralized Government.
So, while Jack might be correct about his thesis on the economic policy; his association with the bigoted “Old Right” is to be noted and for this, I feel, his credentials are marred.
Seems that Justice has finally been served:
KNOXVILLE – Jurors this morning convicted Letalvis Cobbins of first-degree murder in the torture-slaying of Knox County couple Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom.
The verdicts, after being reviewed by Criminal Court Judge Richard Baumgartner, were announced before a packed courtroom.
Jurors on Wednesday will shift into a penalty phase in which they will consider evidence about whether Cobbins, 26, of Kentucky, should be executed for the January 2007 kidnapping and murders.
The jury concluded that Cobbins had responsibility in all the crimes committed against Christian, however, the same panel acquitted Cobbins of charges involving the rape of Newsom.
Those acquittals don’t mean much, however, since jurors found him guilty of the first-degree murder of Christian, 21, and Newsom, 23.
“I can’t even tell you what all those guilty verdicts were that he read,” Gary Christian said.
“He raped my daughter. He’s responsible for her murder. I’ve said all along he’s going down. He’s just started sliding, and tomorrow’s going to be the nail in his coffin.”
This was a clear cut case of racial hatred, black on white. It should be tried as a hate crime. But because the feckless and fearful Knoxville, Tn Government does not want a backlash, they refused to try it as such. This is a disgrace to the State of Tennessee.
I could have saved the State of Tennessee a great deal of money.
Ich würde diese Ermordung Schläger nehmen und mir einen Strick und ein Baum und reihen sie auf! Yes, I did write that, proud of it, damn it. 😡
However, I am glad to see that this Negro thug will not be hurting anyone else.
Of course, your bleeding heart liberals, who believe in rainbows and unicorns; they would want to give these murdering thugs a second chance. These are Obama’s people folks, remember that!
I present this with the usual disclaimers. But I believe this man has a point; please read it with an open heart and mind.

“Behold, the days come, says the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water but a FAMINE for hearing the words of the Lord. And the people shall wander from sea to sea; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, but shall not find it. By the life of your god (idolatrous golden calf) they shall fall and rise no more.” (Amos 7:11-14)
George Washington, the Father of our Country, required all Officers and Soldiers, not engaged on actual duty, a punctual attendance of Divine Services, to implore the blessings of Heaven upon the means used for our safety and defense. “The General hopes and trusts, that every officer and man, will endeavor so to live, and act, as becomes a “CHRISTIAN” Soldier, defending the dearest Rights and Liberties of his country.”
John Adams stated in his March 4, l797 Inaugural Address: “With humble reverence, I feel it to be my duty to add, if a veneration for the religion of a people who profess and call themselves “CHRISTIANS” among the best recommendations for the public service.” He also said: “The Declaration of Independence ought to be commemorated as the Day of Deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.” The primary author of this Document mentioned God’s name four times within the Declaration.
On January 21, 1810, John Adams said: “The “CHRISTIAN” Religion, as I understand it, is the brightest of the glory and the express portrait of the eternal, self-evident, independent, benevolent, all-powerful and all merciful Creator.”
It is often stated that Thomas Jefferson was a Deists, however on April 21, 1803 he wrote the following: “My views are the result of a life of inquiry and reflection, and very different from the ANTI-CHRISTIAN system imputed to me by those who know nothing of my opinion. To the corruptions of Christianity, I am indeed opposed, but not to the genuine precepts of Jesus Himself, I am a “CHRISTIAN” in the only sense in which He wished any one to be – sincerely attached to His doctrines in preference to all others.” Jefferson, along with the majority of America’s founders knew that freedom was the gift of God, not the accomplishment of men.
James Madison (our 4th President) called for a National Day of Prayer: “If the public homage of a people can ever be worthy of the favorable regard of the Holy and Omniscient Being to whom it is addressed, it must be guided only by their free choice. By the impulse of their hearts and the dictates of their consciences; and such a spectacle must be interesting to all “CHRISTIAN” nations as proving that religion, that gift from Heaven for the good of man…”
John Quincy Adams wrote in his diary in 1810: “I have made it a practice for several years to read the Bible through in a course of every year.” December 24, 1814 after negotiating the TREATY OF GHENT he stated: “You ask me what Bible? I answer, the Bible containing the Sermon on the Mount – any Bible. The New Testament I have repeatedly read in the original Greek, in the Latin, in the Geneva Protestant, in Sacy’s Catholic French, in Luthur’s German, in the common English Protestant and in Douay Catholic translations. I take any one of them for my standard of faith. My hopes of a future life are all founded upon the Gospel of “CHRIST.”
Andrew Jackson wrote his wife Rachel: “I trust that the God of Isaac and of Jacob will protect you and give you health in my absence…” Jackson apparently knew that there were some people that worshipped foreign gods, and wanted to make the point he worshipped the God of the Holy Bible. In referring to God, our early politicians used other descriptive terms, such as: “The unerring hand of Providence” – “All-merciful Creator” – “Supreme Author of All Good” – “Supreme Ruler of the Universe”.
Apparently President Barack Obama has not studied American History, because he recently said while in Turkey: “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.” “We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.” Whether Obama understands the early writings of those great men who founded this nation, or not, perhaps he is correct, because America has become a “post” Christian nation. Once was – not now! Liberalism and political correctness have successfully dismantled our Christian heritage. Our moral and spiritual foundation is practically gone. America no longer acknowledges the one true God of the Bible, the God of Isaac and Jacob.
Students at Bradley University found an anti-abortion display featuring a cross to be offensive to non-Christians, and it was removed. — Small towns around the nation that once said prayers in the name of Jesus before holding city council meetings have abandoned the practice. — A flyer promoting a YMCA basket ball camp in Bakersfield, California was not allowed to be distributed in public schools because the text mentioned Christian principles. — The owners of an A & W Root Beer restaurant in Colorado were ordered to remove the Bible Scriptures from the sign in front of the store because the phrases offended some of the customers. — Schools all across the land are changing to an all secular holiday calendar. — The Christmas holiday has now been changed to “Winter Break.” — A man on death row for murder and rape wants his conviction thrown out because some of the jurors cited Bible verses during their deliberation. — The City Attorney in Sparks, Nevada took the words “God Bless America” out of the signs around city hall. — Three plaques quoting Biblical Scriptures posted at lookout points at the Grand Canyon have been removed, following complaints from the ACLU. — The National Park Service was forced to put a tarp over the 70 year old land mark cross at the Mojave Desert. — A Bible enclosed in glass that sat in front of the Harris County Court House in Houston, Texas for 47 years was removed because it was offensive. — Staffers of the Governor of Michigan removed the phrase “of the year of our Lord” because it was deemed insensitive to non-Christians. — A district court judge in North Carolina said religious references including the oath that ends “SO HELP ME GOD” must be removed because not all court cases are for Christians. — Officials in Stanislaus County, California removed a 40 year old memorial because the monument included a cross that might infringe on rules of the “Separation of Church and State.” If you read the Constitution from cover to cover you will find no mention of the “Separation of Church and State.” Those remarks were in a letter written by President Thomas Jefferson, responding to a letter sent him by a Baptist Association concerned that the Government was going to interfere with the free and open practice of the Christian religion. Jefferson wrote the letter to assure them that would not happen – that the government cannot do such a thing. Today that phrase is being interpreted to mean the exact opposite of its original intent.
Today our Universities, Hollywood, liberal politicians and homosexuals in the nation’s Capital are hostile to the Holy Bible. The Book cannot appear on a desk in a government office, nor can it be studied in our nation’s public schools. Every effort is being made to eradicate any public reference to the Bible, or the name of Jesus. To even mention the name of Jesus or quote Biblical scriptures in public is considered insensitive. This conspiracy is being promoted under the lie that it was the original intent of the founding fathers and the framers of the Constitution.
God once blessed America – from it’s founding for over 150 years. Since the early 1960’s God, Jesus and the Holy Bible have been kicked out of our government, our courts and our schools. When public school children can no longer sing God Bless America, how can God bless America?
Is there a possibility that God has already begun to withdraw His protection from the United States? God tells us in Deuteronomy 28:45, that curses shall come upon us until we are destroyed, because we did not hearken unto His voice and keep His statutes which he commanded. He tells us in very uncertain terms how we as a nation will be overcome. (1) The stranger shall rise above us and we shall come down very low. The stranger shall lend to us and we will not lend to the stranger. The stranger shall be the head and we shall be the tail. (Deuteronomy 28:43-44) (2) The Lord shall bring a nation against us from far; a nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young, which also shall leave us no corn, wine or oil. (Deuteronomy 28:49-51) (3) If you shall despise my statutes and abhor my judgments, so that you will not do all my commandments, I will appoint TERROR over you, and your enemies that hate you shall reign over you. (Leviticus 26:11) (4) I shall break the pride of your power and your strength shall be spent in vain. (Leviticus 26:19-20)
As our nation’s sins have become many, so are God’s judgments many. These are just a few that I can see taking place as each day goes by. These judgments didn’t start coming upon us prior to the Supreme Court’s deciding that the God of Isaac and Jacob was no longer welcome in America. Will God reconsider and return to us our once free nation? YES! But only if we totally submit ourselves to Him, impeach the Supreme Court judges that voted Him out of our lives, rescind their decisions and put the Bible back in our schools, courts and lives of our politicians, administrators, judges, teachers and the general public. I don’t believe it is going to happen!

I really did not want to post about this; as I have made my opinions clear on this before.
I believe that this whole release of documents, ensuing investigation and so forth are being done to placate the far left, in response to the President’s dropping poll numbers and because he is losing the war on the health-care front. In words, he is going to drop the Public Option and he is trying to throw some “red meat” to his liberal base.
The question is, will it work? I highly doubt it, there are two things that far lefty liberals want and that is health-care for all and Dick Cheney in Jail. (and Bush too, if they could get it…) Obama is trying to give them one; and not the other. That strategy, I feel, will not work. That is because liberals want both of these things and not just one or the other. Making the far left choose between the two; will only cause the far left progressives to turn against Obama.
Again, this is just another promise, in a long list of promises, that he has broken.
Remember when he said this?
What a difference six month makes! Talk about throwing the C.I.A., who is keeping America safe, along with the Armed Forces; under the bus!
Unbelievable. Just farking unbelievable.

Synopsis:
Thou Shalt Not Kill—perhaps the most famous moral commandment in the western world. And yet Judeo-Christian religious leaders have also created a doctrine that can justify killing—commonly known as Just War Doctrine. What sort of military action does Just War Doctrine permit and what sort does it proscribe? Is America’s campaign against terrorism a just war?
