The train that is the nation’s economic recovery has slowed noticeably, unable to generate enough jobs in the last two months to keep pace with population growth, much less reduce the vast numbers of unemployed Americans.
The United States added just 83,000 private sector jobs in June, according to the monthly statistical snapshot released by the Labor Department. The unemployment rate declined to 9.5 percent, from 9.7 percent in May. But that was a largely illusory decline, as 652,000 Americans left the work force.
Over all, the nation lost 125,000 jobs in June, but those losses came as temporary federal Census workers headed for the exits.
With the economy slowing — housing sales plummeted, while earnings and hours worked ticked downward last month — the stakes grow larger, economically and politically. The next few monthly unemployment reports will unfold during the run-up to the midterm Congressional elections this fall. Incumbents feel particularly precarious, and major economic decisions about financial reform, unemployment benefits, and aid to states still sit on their desks.
Think maybe now the Democrats will finally get it? Guess again. (h/t The Other McCain)
Quote:
“Now, let me say that unemployment insurance, we talk about it as a safety net and the rest — this is one of the biggest stimuluses [sic] to our economy. Economists will tell you, this money is spent quickly. It injects demand into the economy and it’s job-creating. It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name because, again, it is money that is needed for families to survive, and it is spent. So it has a double benefit — it helps those who have lost their jobs, but it also is a job-creator and so, uh, for that reason — for those two reasons at least — it should be passed, and I’m optimistic that it will.” – Nancy Pelosi, July 1, 2010
But of course, The DOJ is going to slime the guy who blew the whistle on Obama sacking of the Black Panther case. Roger L. Simon of Pajama’s Media has more: (H/T to InstaPundit)
Call it Panthergate, call it what you will. The Department of Justice (or its minions) is already attempting to slime its whistleblower J. Christian Adams — the attorney who recently resigned from the Department over its abandonment of the New Black Panther case. Now Adams has struck back, telling Pajamas Media that the DOJ’s smears were a “blatant lie.”
Adams appeared on Megyn Kelly’s Fox News show to tell his story Tuesday, following which a “source familiar with the case” came forward, trying to tarnish the lawyer’s reputation. Pajamas Media was informed by a Fox producer:
The person said that any story should include the fact that Adams only left DOJ after being put into a job he disliked, and that he has long been an advocate of conservative views. Source also says Adams’ claims are “willfully inaccurate.”
This battle had been brewing for several days since Adams — using the Panther case as an example — asserted in the Washington Times, and then in more detail in Pajamas Media, that institutionalized bias had infiltrated Eric Holder’s Justice Department. Civil rights complaints would only be pursued when initiated by people of color against white people.
When it was the other way around, the complaints, even when well-substantiated as with the New Black Panthers, would disappear in a bureaucratic morass.
I’d head over and read this one; as it is very interesting. The Presidential Administration will stop at nothing to keep from the truth being exposed about it. I would honestly say that President Barack Obama is slowly becoming the Richard Nixon of the Democratic Party.
WASHINGTON – More than 1.3 million laid-off workers won’t get their unemployment benefits reinstated before Congress goes on a weeklong break for Independence Day.
And hundreds of thousands more will lose their benefits in the coming weeks.
The House voted 270-153 Thursday to extend jobless benefits for people who have been laid off for long stretches, but the gesture was made futile by the Senate’s inability to pass the bill. For the third time in as many weeks, Republicans in the Senate successfully filibustered a similar measure Wednesday night before senators adjourned for vacation.
A little more than 1.3 million people have already lost benefits since the last extension ran out at the end of May, according to the Labor Department. By the end of the week, the number will jump to 1.7 million. By the end of July, it would top 3 million.
“It is hard to understand how anybody can come to this floor and say, for 1.7 million people and their families, this is not an emergency,” said Rep. Sander Levin, D-Mich., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. “There is no excuse for voting no.”
The bill would extend unemployment payments for up to a total of 99 weeks, for people whose state-paid benefits have run out. The benefits would be available through the end of November, at a cost of $33.9 billion. The money would have been borrowed, adding to the budget deficit.
This is political grandstanding of the worst kind. The Republicans have repeatedly said that they would extend unemployment benefits if the Democrats would strip out all the other things they have larded up the bill with. That is to say, the Republicans have said they would vote for a stand-alone unemployment extension.
But the Democrats refuse present such a bill because they think they can score political points by claiming that the GOP opposes extending benefits for those out of work.
As for me; I have no pity for those people who have been on the Government dole and are now losing the dole. Why? Because when I became unemployed back in 2005. I was not eligible for unemployment, at all. Why? Because I quit my job. The job was making me physically sick and I could not take it anymore and I quit. So, that automatically disqualifies me from getting any benefits. (Looking back on it, I MIGHT have been able to collect… But, at the time, I thought I had another job lined up. Needless to say, that never happened…)
So, since 2005; I have been having to basically live off my folks and making whatever little this blog brings in for cash. Which really is not much at all, when you get right down to it. But I do much enjoy writing about politics and the idiotic Democrats! 😉 You think the Government would push aside its rules and regulations for this white boy? Yeah Right! Now maybe if I was some sort of an oppressed minority or something. But, I am just another evil white man and the Government hasn’t established a fund for the evil poor white man yet.
You would think that the condition that the Country is in that the Democrats would just say, “Okay, Unemployment Benefits only.” But, no, they would rather grandstand an issue, all just to try secure votes come November. Which to be truly honest, is not going to guarantee the Democrats anything at all. Heck, if I were a Republican or a Democrat right now; I would be very worried, because there is a good deal of anti-incumbent sentiment in American right now.
This, in a long list of issues, is why I will never, ever vote Democratic Party again, ever.
Seriously, someone needs to tell Grandpa McSame to seriously shut the hell up….:
Sen. John McCain blasted President Barack Obama’s stated goal of beginning troop withdrawal from Afghanistan in July 2011, saying Obama made a “political decision” not based on military strategy.
McCain (R-Ariz.), Obama’s opponent in the 2008 presidential election, continued to criticize Obama’s decision to include a timetable in his Afghanistan strategy, and he criticized military leaders who signed on to Obama’s timetable strategy.
“It was purely a political decision,” McCain said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Not one based on facts on the ground, not one based on military strategy.”
McCain, ranking member on the Senate Armed Services Committee, went further, saying that no military advisers proposed to Obama any strategy that included a timetable. But when host David Gregory noted that Obama’s military leaders have endorsed the strategy, McCain faulted them for not opposing the commander in chief. – Via McCain blasts Afghanistan withdrawal date as ‘political decision’ by Obama – TheHill.com
Um, Mr. McSame? Isn’t getting on TV and blasting Obama War Strategy a political move too? The truth is, John McCain is still pissed off, because Barack Obama trounced his idiotic piece of crap ass in the 2008 election; and this basically is the pay back for that. The reason why President Barack Obama won is, because John McCain is not a true Conservative, he is a progressive in a Conservative suit. This is why he has been defeated EVERY TIME he has tried to run for election for President, because people see right through that idiotic smile of his.
The truth of the matter is this; the only reason that John McCain is even a Republican is because he divorced his first wife and married that the beer distributor heiress and is filthy rich. Otherwise, he would be over in the Democratic Party side of the fence. Now before anyone is shocked and makes a comment about this posting. I, in fact, NEVER WAS a John McCain fan, ever. In the 2008 Presidential Election, I voted for Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party‘s candidate for President. Now did I agree with everything that Bob Barr stood for? No. But at least I knew that Bob Barr was a honest man and did not lie about what he really was. Which is more than one can say about John McCain and the most of the Progressive Conservatives on capital hill at the moment, not to mention all of the Democratic Party socialists that are there as well. Some people might not agree with my opinion of Barr; in fact there are some who despise the man. I can understand why and I’ve read their complaints. Now, do I agree with them? Not entirely, but I do see their points. I also know that Bob Barr did not win either. 😉
The fact is this; we need new thinking up on that hill and in 2012 in that White House. The Beltway types need to go, Republican and Democrat both. We need new blood, people that want to look out for the best interest of this Country and not in the best interest of “special interest”. Special Interest and political corruption are the new “bad words” on the hill and in the political discourse in America, let’s hope that this continues.
As for John McCain, I do respect the man’s Military Record, but I do not respect his phony Conservatism, nor his pushing for an endless war in the Afghan Theater and the one in Iraq. That, my friends, is idiotic at best. We need a plan in the Afghan theater and if we cannot make any ground there, then we need to leave and try something different. Period.
….as for John McCain, he needs to seriously shut the hell up! 😡
You know the real sick and sad part? I actually kind of liked this guy, when I was still in the “Left of Center” camp and would have most likely voted for him, had he made the grade during the primaries. Needless to say, I do not feel that way anymore. What an elitist idiot! 😡
I’d rather be a smart-ass; then a Vice-President Dumb Ass like him.
This comes via U.K. Telegraph, so keep that in mind while reading it:
Washington insiders say he will quit within six to eight months in frustration at their unwillingness to “bang heads together” to get policy pushed through.
“Democrats have not stood behind the president in the way Republicans did for George W Bush, and that was meant to be Rahm’s job.”
“It might not be his fault, but the perception is there,” said the consultant, who asked not to be named. “Every vote has been tough, from health care to energy to financial reform.
Mr Emanuel, 50, enjoys a good working relationship with Mr Obama but they are understood to have reached an understanding that differences over style mean he will serve only half the full four-year term.
Friends say he is also worried about burnout and losing touch with his young family due to the pressure of one of most high profile jobs in US politics.
“I would bet he will go after the midterms,” said a leading Democratic consultant in Washington. “Nobody thinks it’s working but they can’t get rid of him – that would look awful. He needs the right sort of job to go to but the consensus is he’ll go.”
An official from the Bill Clinton era said that “no one will be surprised” if Mr Emanuel left after the midterm elections in November, when the Democratic party will battle to save its majorities in the house of representatives and the senate.
It is well known in Washington that arguments have developed between pragmatic Mr Emanuel, a veteran in Congress where he was known for driving through compromises, and the idealistic inner circle who followed Mr Obama to the White House.
His abrasive style has rubbed some people the wrong way, while there has been frustration among Mr Obama’s closest advisers that he failed to deliver a smooth ride for the president’s legislative that his background promised.
Hmmmmm… I wonder. Could it be that “Hope and Change” has fizzled out and Rahm wants out? Maybe he has dirt and wants to avoid it coming out at a trial? Hmmmmmm… It is to wonder!
Don’t buy it? Listen to Kyl and see how Obama’s manipulating the border.
Originally, when I wrote this; I said that Obama did secure the boarder. Truth is, he did send National Guardsman to the border, and he put signs up warning people along the Mexican board; which was I believe in Texas. However, since I have wrote that, I have discovered some other information about the border and Obama. But as to Obama blowing up an oil platform, I’m sorry, but that is just untrue. BP is the sole person responsible for that oil platform; and too the MMS for not enforcing regulation.
I have no idea who the hell “Kyl” is, nor do I honestly give a rip. Update : They are referring to this. — But, I challenge ANYONE, ANYONE! To prove to me personally, not with opinion, not with stupid idiotic kooky conspiracy theories, but with actual LIVING proof from legitimate media outlets, and not Alex Jones infowars, or WorldNetDaily stupidity; that President Barack Obama actually blew up that oil platform in the gulf.
The truth is, these moronic idiots do not have jack crap for proof; the only thing they have is their stupid Conspiracy theories, that are spouted by people like Alex Jones.
You see folks, THIS RIGHT HERE is why the Republican Party is going to get it’s butt handed to it on a platter by the Democratic Party in 2010 and 2012. Because of the inane batty stupidity of the far right. That is why we lost in 2008 and that is why we will lose come 2010 elections and 2012 elections!
I printed this, because I wanted to show an example of the idiot moronic stupidity of the far, far right.
Also, for what it is worth, Republicans can be just as fascist as Democrats can be. Eight Years of George W. Bush proved that. Nice try though. 🙄 His Wilsonian foreign policy that he fell in love with after 9/11 will be a stain on America for many years to come. Not to mention the fact, that part of the HUGE debt we are into now; is because of Bush’s idiotic decision to go war with a Country that had ZERO to do with 9/11. But you cannot tell that to the far right, they’re too damned busy believing the batty crazy reports from far right news outlets that say Saddam hid his WMD’s in Syria. Which was totally disproved, but many an outlet, even Fox News. But that does not stop these kooky crazy people. They believe what THEY want to hear!
Far from it for me to defend or even support Charles Johnson. But when the man is right — He’s right.
This has to be one of the most stupidest damned things I have ever read in the Right Wing Blogosphere yet. ….and I have been around it for quite a while.
At first blush this sounds like an outlandish question with a conspiratorial twist. The corollary question goes like this: Is the Obama administration intentionally scaling back clean-up efforts in the Gulf in an attempt to maximize the damage so Democrats in Congress will have an excuse to take effective control over yet another major sector of our economy and impose crippling and draconian new taxes on the American people?
We first learned of this controversy reading Sher Zieve who wrote in the Canada Free Press: “Obama is doing the bare minimum so that destruction will be at an all-time maximum — in order to shove his Cap and Trade bill (which will complete our destruction) down our throats.”
It goes on to basically accuse the President of the United States of America of purposely allowing that oil spill to continue to destroy our ecosystem; in order to further Obama’s progressive agenda. I am quite sorry my friends, but that sort of bat-shit crazy nonsense is just totally unacceptable, and before you say it is just Townhall, it is not. It is every damned where in the Conservative Blogosphere.
I am going to make something very clear here. One of things that drove me away from the Ron Paul or Pat Buchanan Paleo or Old Conservatism is this; One of them was the blatant Antisemitism and yes, blatant racism of the “Old Right” and the other was the idiotic conspiracy theories that were always being repeated. This is a classic example of that. This is the same damned stupidity that happened during the Clinton Administration years. Only turned up to 11 on the kooky conspiracy amplifier machine.
Let me be clear, (Thank you President Obama for using my favorite clarity statement and making it into a punch line…) I do realize that President Obama is a progressive and yes, I do know he has an agenda as the elected President of the United States. Every President does. But to purposefully poison our ecosystem is NOT one of them people! Please, let’s use our damned brains here a little, for something besides a hat rack.
I can tell you right now, if the Conservative grassroots and more importantly the Republican Party starts repeating this idiotic tripe during the midterms and also during the 2012 elections. I will make a prediction, the Republican Party will get it’s ASS handed to it in 2012. Stupidity like this, does not win elections, at all. Just ask Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan.
We need leadership and a sane alternative to the socialism of President Barack Obama, not this sort of blatant stupidity.
Normally, I would not even credit or link to anything on Infowars, because I happen to believe that Alex Jones is a rube. But, this was quite good and I think it warranted credit.
You know, our Founding Fathers, they put that Second Amendment in there for a good reason and that was for the people to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. And in fact Thomas Jefferson said it’s good for a country to have a revolution every 20 years.
I hope that’s not where we’re going, but, you know, if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying my goodness what can we do to turn this country around? I’ll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out.
Note to all my readers: I am posting these videos here, because I happen to believe in a diversity of opinion and discussion. The opinions expressed in these video should NOT be considered an opinion of the owner of this blog. I simply believe that ALL VOICES, not just a collective few, should be heard in the continuing discussion that is post-Bush Conservative Politics.
Ron Paul - Making Money on lies, just like the rest of them!
Rep. Ron Paul is captivated by gold. Over the past two decades, he has written books about the virtues of gold-backed currency. He has made uncounted speeches about the precious metal. He even took a leadership post on the House subcommittee that oversees the nation’s monetary policy, mints and gold medals.
But his focus on gold goes beyond the theoretical.
In recent years, Paul (R-Tex.) has poured hundreds of thousands of his own dollars into stocks of some of the world’s largest gold-mining operations, according to a review of his financial disclosure forms by The Washington Post. In 2008, while advocating for the United States to reinstate a gold standard, he reported owning up to $1.5 million in shares of at least nine gold-production companies. In addition, he disclosed up to $200,000 in silver stocks. In all, those holdings represented close to half of his assets.
The intersection of Paul’s investments, policy convictions and congressional duties is acceptable under the ethics rules that govern lawmaker investing, a code of behavior that stands in stark contrast to the stricter regulations that government and private executives typically must follow.
Of course, one of Ron Paul’s main sock puppets; racist bigot, anti-Semite and writer of the Ron Paul Newsletters — Lew Rockwell Jumps to his defense:
The Washington Post, house organ of the Fed-banking-Wall Street complex, attempts to smear Ron Paul today. Check the headline and the deliberately unflattering photo, as well as the biased article itself. But Ron Paul has no sway of this sort in congress. He could have had it, but he chose not to play that game. Instead he has used his position to teach America and the world about sound money, freedom, and peace. He has persuaded individual congressmen, but–God bless him–he has no power in the conventional sense, has not sought it, and does not want it. So, are gold investments a conflict of interest because he also promotes the gold standard and competitive currencies? First, he has the right to protect his family with the money he earned as a successful physician and investor. Second, it is Greenspan and Bush, and Bernanke and Obama, who made gold go up in terms of dollars, not Ron Paul. If he had his way, gold would no longer be an investment. It would be money. But although Ron has no power in the Gingrich-Pelosi sense, he has vast influence, especially with young people. Millions of them. That’s why WaPo wants to hurt him. But he swats them away like a bothersome bug.
UPDATE from Eli Cryderman:
The Washington Post was purchased in 1933 by Federal Reserve Chairman Eugene Meyer. His son-in-law, Philip Graham took over in 1946 and after his death in 1963, Katherine Graham (Meyer’s daughter) took control. In 1979, Katherine’s son (and Meyer’s grandson) Donald Graham took over up until 2008, when his college buddy ran it for a few years until Katherine Weymouth, Katherine Graham’s granddaughter took over. All are ivy-league elites (some from influential families) who couldn’t possibly have any financial interest in keeping the fiat, house of cards monetary system going. One dead-tree rag would never prop up another dead tree instrument of exchange for mutual benefit, would they?
That all might be true, although I very highly doubt it, but does that excuse Ron Paul’s conflict of interest? No, it does not. Nice try though Lew.
I will so glad when Ron Paul is voted out of office come 2010. (or is it 2012??? I cannot remember…) Anyhow, the man needs to go, Paul has become a part of that beltway establishment and is profiting off of his own grandstanding. It’s time of grandpa Paul to get to his retirement. It’s time for a new face and a new perspective.
Countdown to the Paleo-Cons, Libertarians, and Paul-bots calling me Jew Lover, Neo-Con, or whatever else they call people like me in 5…..4…..3….2……
An Ann Arbor elementary school principal used a letter home to parents tonight to defend a field trip for black students as part of his school’s efforts to close the achievement gap between white and black students.
Dicken Elementary School Principal Mike Madison wrote the letter to parents following several days of controversy at the school after a field trip last week in which black students got to hear a rocket scientist.
“In hindsight, this field trip could have been approached and arranged in a better way,” Madison wrote. “But as I reflect upon the look of excitement, enthusiasm and energy that I saw in these children’s eyes as they stood in the presence of a renowned African American rocket scientist in a very successful position, it gave the kids an opportunity to see this type of achievement is possible for even them.
“It was not a wasted venture for I know one day they might want to aspire to be the first astronaut or scientist standing on the Planet Mars.
“I also think it’s important that you know that I have talked to the children who did not go on the field trip, and I think they have a better understanding of the purpose of the AA Lunch Bunch now, as I hope you do. I’m sorry if any kids were upset by the field trip or my discussion afterwards with them, and I have let them know that.
“The intent of our field trip was not to segregate or exclude students as has been reported, but rather to address the societal issues, roadblocks and challenges that our African American children will face as they pursue a successful academic education here in our community.”
A handful of parents have complained to district administrators about the trip, the group and Madison. More than a half-dozen parents contacted AnnArbor.com to raise the complaints, but none would agree to talk on the record, citing concerns of reprisals to their children by Madison.
[…]
District spokeswoman Liz Margolis said after the trip was over, those who went returned to their fifth-grade class and were greeted by boos by those who didn’t go on the trip. Margolis said Madison, who is black, heard the boos, and went to talk to the class. She said he and the class had a “discussion” about race issues.
“He wasn’t yelling at them. He was very passionate about it,” Margolis said.
Parents have complained he was yelling at the class and belittled a Muslim girl who said she also had experienced racism and discrimination.
On January 14, 1963 Alabama Governor George Wallace, a Democrat; said the following:
“In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.”
Democrats have not changed that mindset one iota. Except now, the only people being discriminated or segregated are the White people. This whole idiotic idea that we have to “Celebrate Diversity”, basically means “Be ashamed of your White Skin.” It is the mantra and talking point of the far socialist black liberal Democrat Party. It is the mindset of most blacks, especially Liberal Blacks that those evil White Capitalists are out to oppress the Black man; and to atone for that, blacks must be given special privileges and must be given jobs, ahead of the White Man. (like me, for instance…)
That is what I have to deal with here in the great Liberal State of Michigan. It is no wonder that Michigan went to Obama and McCain left early. McCain was no dummy, he knew what he was doing.
Obviously, that separation of church and state rule only applies to Christianity.
Praising their demagogue Obama is OK.
The kids are saying:
For I, am an Obama scholar.
An Obama scholar.
And I will strive to be.
Outstanding. Brilliant.
I will achieve. I will be motivated with a positive attitude.
Quick quiz: name five countries, past or present, where the youths were required to chant praises to their omnipotent ruler? Any five. Then add together the number of innocentpeople those regimes slaughtered for political expediency.
When I first started watching this video I was impressed with the positive message, that is until the Adult Directed the Students to Chant “I am an Obama Scholar”. That is what we call Brain Washing.
Before all of the Haters leave their Comment remember this, Would it still be OK if the Kids were Chanting “I am a Regan, Bush or Clinton Scholar? …Um No…
Indoctrination of children in schools is really nothing new, especially since Obama has been elected. Liberal teachers can’t contain themselves, I guess.
[…]
And what kind of scholar is Barack Obama, exactly? The kind that doesn’t exactly move a mountain of drugs away, that’s for sure — he admitted doing cocaine. He’s the kind of scholar who thought that there were 57 states during the 2008 election. The kind of scholar who can’t understand why we can’t just plug the damn hole to stop an oil spill. The kind of scholar who spends all of his time on the golf course instead of displaying any kind of real leadership.
Oh well. Chanting songs of allegiance to leaders is nothing new, I guess. It’s just new to us ignorant rubes here in the United States who actually love freedom and democracy.
I might be wrong, but, did not Hitler force kids in Germany to chant slogans? Did they also do that in Communist Russia?
I don’t know about you all; but this whole idea of a black liberal President just got a whole bunch more scarier to me. I mean, we have oil gushing out of a busted well in the gulf and they are STILL praising him, like he is some sort of a Messiah!
When will the American people wake and realize that they have been duped? It is beginning to happen; but still you have this sort of nonsense. It is trouble unbelievable.
The 2010 elections and the 2012 elections cannot come soon enough. I just hope and pray that the GOP does not screw it up; like they did in 2008.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – A protest in Greensboro turned violent Tuesday when a former candidate for Congress and NC Senate was punched in the face.
Nathan Tabor, a business owner and head of the Forsyth County Republican Party and a former candidate for public office, says he and 25 other people were protesting government bailouts in front of Rep. Mel Watt’s (D-N.C.) Greensboro office on Tuesday.
“We were just there to do our constitutional right to have a peaceful protest.” Tabor said.
Tabor says they were protesting a proposed amendment that would give companies money to help with rising credit card fees. He says he was videotaping the event when Govenor Spencer, of Greensboro, approached the protest.
“About that time a gentleman walks around the corner and walks into the middle of the crowd saying it’s all George W. Bush’s fault. It’s all Dick Cheney’s fault.” Tabor said.
The video shows Spencer and at least one protester arguing. Tabor says he stopped recording as the protest began to conclude and walked over to the sidewalk where his wife and 5-year-old daughter were standing.
“As I walked around the corner this gentleman pushed me. And when he pushed me the first time I turned my camera on and brought my camera up. I said please don’t push me. And when I said that he slapped my camera.” Tabor said. “He pushes me again. In the video you can see my body fall back. And I did not say anything to him, I didn’t engage him. I was going to, until he touched me wife.”
Tabor says Spencer pushed his wife and he pushed Spencer back. The video shows Spencer then punching Tabor in the face.
In the video, Spencer is seen telling Tabor that he hit him because Tabor pushed him. Spencer denies hitting Tabor’s wife. Both men have filed assault charges against each other.
Spencer referred FOX8 to his attorney Joe Williams, who said: “We are going to deal with this in the courtroom. Mr. Tabor is going to find out that being wealthy doesn’t make a difference in a courtroom.”
I do not know about you; but this proves what I have believed all along. That you can be black and be socialist or at least a supporter of President Barack Hussein Obama and comment physical violence against white people —- and not a God-Damned thing will happen to you. I did not see ANY police officers rush to arrest that thug; did you? No. So, that tells me all I need to know.
Here is the contact information for the Police Dept down there:

Also, remember this video come 2010 and 2o12; and vote accordingly.
Iran says Wednesday’s Security Council decision to impose further sanctions on Tehran is worthless, stressing that it will not be abandoning its nuclear program.
The UN resolution “is worthless for the Iranian people,” President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said following the vote.
The Iranian leader said that the latest Security Council decision will not be harming Iran’s citizens, slamming the US for using its own nuclear weapons to threaten other countries.
“Those who possess a nuclear bomb themselves and used it in the past, are now using it to threaten others,” he said. “These decisions are like a used piece of paper that should be thrown to the garbage.
So much for the muscle of the U.N. and the Obama White House. I guess Ahmadinejad is not going to be intimated by the United States after all.
Good Job Barry! Between the Oil Spill, Illegal Immigration, and your undying support of Israel; you’ll be easy pickings come 2012. 😀
Helen Thomas, the longtime White House correspondent made famous for her no-holds-barred questioning of presidents, announced her resignation Monday following controversial remarks she made about Israel.
In a statement from Hearst newspapers, where she works as a columnist, she said she is “retiring, effective immediately.”
Thomas started at the White House as a reporter during the Kennedy administration but became more outspoken in recent years, when she shifted to column writing.
The reaction of most reporters, friends and former White House officials was that while the end to Thomas’s career is sad, it is hardly surprising.
“It really is sadness. She should have retired years ago,” one longtime friend said. “But I don’t think anyone is surprised at the anti-Israeli remarks. She has never made any secret of her animus toward Israel. I just hate to see her remembered for this instead of the pioneering work she did.”
Former White House press secretary Dana Perino said: “It’s a sad but appropriate end.”
Let this be a lesson to any leftest loon, who decides to be journalist. Keep your mouth shut and stick to your job; if you want to keep your job. Antisemitism is not cool, fashionable or any of the other stupid labels that they put on it. It is a sick disease and should not be in the public square.
Somehow or another, I somehow doubt that this was an accident, something tells me, that this woman knew who she was talking to and knew what sort of trouble it would cause. She wanted to retire and was looking for a way out and found it.
In case, you did not notice, I do have a ribbon on my blog now; and yes, I will say it. I do support Israel. The only reservation that I have, is that some of the players in Zionism sometimes resort to race or “Semite-Baiting”, but other than this, I have no issues with Israel and the Jews. America is the prosperous Nation that it is today, because of the relationship that it has with the Nation of Israel. God help this Nation, if we ever got the idiotic idea to abandon Israel or turn against her.
For more about how I feel about this issue. Please click and read this Gospel Tract. It will explain just how I feel about this whole thing. I may have had reservations about Israel in the past. But, that is all different now, I totally understand and believe, that Israel is God’s holy land and he will use it one day. You’ll see. Bush understood it, I understand it, and any Conservative who does not understand it, is not a Conservative and should not be calling themselves one! Remember this, come 2010 and 2012.
It’s one thing to say our Iran policy is making things worse, it’s quite another to pretend that regional war, possibly with a nuclear component, in the Middle East wouldn’t much matter to America if we just hurried up and got our troops out. I can’t tell if this guy doesn’t realize or simply doesn’t care that opening up Gaza’s port will mean more arms in the hands of more fanatics, which means more of a chance of war and thus a more precarious position for U.S. interests. But let this serve as yet another reminder that, for all the grief we give The One on foreign policy, we can do much, much worse. And not just on the left either.
Amen to that. For all the grief that I give President Obama, I also know that it could be and would be much worse, if Ron Paul was the President. Also, about “AllahPundit,” before anyone says a damned thing in the comments section; was less than 10 miles from the World Trade Center, when it was hit in 2001. Hence his desire to see something done about the terrorists.
Ron Paul’s problem is, that he is shilling for the terrorists who want to destroy this Country and he is too stupid to know it. Either that or he knows it and really does not care. Gaza starving; what idiotic bullcrap! 🙄 Only thing starving is Ron Paul’s brain.

At a ceremony honoring veterans and senior citizens who sent presents to soldiers overseas, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut rose and spoke of an earlier time in his life.
“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam,” Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. “And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it — Afghanistan or Iraq — we owe our military men and women unconditional support.”
There was one problem: Mr. Blumenthal, a Democrat now running for the United States Senate, never served in Vietnam. He obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records.
The deferments allowed Mr. Blumenthal to complete his studies at Harvard; pursue a graduate fellowship in England; serve as a special assistant to The Washington Post’s publisher, Katharine Graham; and ultimately take a job in the Nixon White House.
In 1970, with his last deferment in jeopardy, he landed a coveted spot in the Marine Reserve, which virtually guaranteed that he would not be sent to Vietnam. He joined a unit in Washington that conducted drills and other exercises and focused on local projects, like fixing a campground and organizing a Toys for Tots drive.
Many politicians have faced questions over their decisions during the Vietnam War, and Mr. Blumenthal, who is seeking the seat being vacated by Senator Christopher J. Dodd, is not alone in staying out of the war.
But what is striking about Mr. Blumenthal’s record is the contrast between the many steps he took that allowed him to avoid Vietnam, and the misleading way he often speaks about that period of his life now, especially when he is speaking at veterans’ ceremonies or other patriotic events.
Sometimes his remarks have been plainly untrue, as in his speech to the group in Norwalk. At other times, he has used more ambiguous language, but the impression left on audiences can be similar.
In an interview on Monday, the attorney general said that he had misspoken about his service during the Norwalk event and might have misspoken on other occasions. “My intention has always been to be completely clear and accurate and straightforward, out of respect to the veterans who served in Vietnam,” he said.
But an examination of his remarks at the ceremonies shows that he does not volunteer that his service never took him overseas. And he describes the hostile reaction directed at veterans coming back from Vietnam, intimating that he was among them.
What this man needs to do, is resign. There is no greater shame, no greater crime —- outside of martial infidelity, than stealing the honor of those who did serve in our armed forces. Besides all of that; who in their right mind would straight up lie about theur Military Service? Are these people that damned short sighted that they do not realize that sooner or later, this sort of thing would catch up with them?
"You see these parts? They're as big and heavy as my wife's butt cheeks, which is why I am screwing my staffer instead..."
Souder, a Republican, will will step down on Friday. He said in remarks obtained by Fox News that he “sinned against God, my wife and my family by having a mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff.”
“I wish I could have been a better example,” he said. “In this poisonous environment of Washington, D.C., any personal failing is seized upon, often twisted, for political gain. I am resigning rather than to put my family through that painful, drawn-out process. … We are a committed family, but the error is mine and I should bear the responsibility. Not only am I thankful for a loving family but for a loving God.”
Multiple senior House sources indicated that the extent of Souder’s affair with the staffer would have landed him before the House Ethics Committee. Sources told Fox News that the aide, identified as Tracy Jackson, a woman in her mid-40s, would accompany the congressman to events and to record ads at a Christian radio broadcast station.
Elected as a family values conservative as part of the Republican revolution in 1994, Souder survived a tough re-election challenge in 2008 and survived a contested primary two weeks ago.

Thankfully, this guy is doing the right thing and getting the hell out of dodge and sparing the Republican Party some very unneeded embarrassment.
