BREAKING NEWS: Sarah Palin makes it official: Not running in 2012

I figured this, but it’s news…

Via ABC News:

This is Diane Sawyer who seems to take a bit much joy in this story:

The audio is available at Mark Lavin’s website.

Here’s the video: (H/T to the Right Scoop)

It is tough listening to Levin read that; Levin sounded like he was near crying reading it. He so much liked Palin.

Here is the Statement in full:

October 5, 2011

Wasilla, Alaska
After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.

From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back – and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.

I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables. We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.

Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.

In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.

Thank you again for all your support. Let’s unite to restore this country!

God bless America.

– Sarah Palin

AllahPundit Comments:

She did the smart thing by staying out. Just yesterday, CBS found that three out of four Republicans didn’t want her to run compared to just 23 percent who did. Her favorable numbers have been underwater for ages and she would have been hammered on the inexperience charge for failing to finish her term as governor. I do think she could have emerged as the “Not Romney” in the race over Cain and a weakened Perry, but realistically there was no way to beat Mitt once it was a binary choice. His campaign pockets are too deep and undecided Republicans are too desperate to beat The One to roll the dice on a nominee who’s arguably unelectable. Once Christie decided not to get in and split the centrist vote with Romney, there was no obvious path for her (which may explain the timing of her announcement today). Worse, there was a chance that she wouldn’t even emerge as the “Not Romney”: If Perry or Cain ended up faring better than her in Iowa or South Carolina, it would have shattered her mystique as the ultimate champion of grassroots conservatives. By staying out, her supporters now get to say “she would have won if she ran” without ever having to test their theory and she gets to kinda sorta play kingmaker as people wait to see if she’ll endorse Perry, Cain, or (gasp) Romney. And who knows? Maybe she’ll focus now on challenging Begich for Senate in Alaska in 2014, which would be a huge first step back towards national viability down the road. She’s 47 years old, fully 25 years younger than McCain was when he was nominated three years ago. No rush.

[…]

My guess is that Cain benefits the most from her absence. Like her, he’s a Beltway outsider, and like her, he seems like a real person, not a talking-points machine like the Romneybot or a back-slapping gladhander like Perry. Authenticity has always been key to Palin’s appeal among her supporters and that’s Cain all over. Besides, where else could her supporters go realistically? Romney’s too centrist and Bachmann’s a lost cause. And Perry’s been knocked by Palin (sometimes by name, sometimes not) for both his crony-capitalist tendencies and his Gardasil initiative, so unless she ends up endorsing him, there’s every reason for her fans to think he’s a nonstarter. My hunch is that some of them also resent Perry (and to a lesser degree Bachmann) for having jumped in before her, since they split the bloc of grassroots conservative votes that might otherwise have gone entirely to her. In a straight-up Romney/Palin race, with no big donors having migrated to Perry and no social conservatives in Iowa having migrated to Bachmann, maybe she could have pulled the upset. But not now.

Krauthammer says Palin Not Running Like “Sun Rising In The East”

The folks over at Conservatives 4 Palin reacting with mixed emotions. I will give those people credit; they were the real supporters, who stuck with her through thick and thin.

A new video from SarahPAC:

I wish her the best, I admit it, I did not like her running for President. However, I thought she was a good voice for Conservatism. May she never fade away…

Blogger round up here.

Ugh: Video: Ugliness at #OccupyWallStreet protest

This comes via Dan Riehl:

This is why this video, which is in my “About this Blog” section is so important! Here is the REAL relevant part of this video:

cropped with SnipSnip

You people on Mobile devices might not be able to see the snipped video; but the rest of us can.

This my friends, is why I blog. We simply cannot allow haters to scapegoat this economic recession on a particular group of people. It is anti-freedom to do so. For this and many other reasons, is why I write.

For the record, it was not just one person either; it was many. This video is via Fox Nation:

Notice how when he realizes he is on camera; he really gets into the spiel and really begins the berate the Jewish man standing there? This is what these haters are all about; attention for their cause, which is unabashed hatred. It is one of the downsides of being a free Republic. Even the idiots have a right to their say.

Video: Felonious Munk talks about paying child support

A while back this guy in this video talked about balancing the budget and it was a viral sensation.

Here is his new video that talks about child support. Now, I must warn you, this is some seriously hardcore stuff; straight out the ghetto and all that. So, consider this your official CONTENT WARNING.  This is not safe for work, around children or anyone else who’s easily offended.

Props to Felonious Monk from a white guy from the suburbs, who grew up in Southwest Detroit; for having the gonads to tell it straight, without any sugar coating or anything. Good job!

Niggerhead

I really had no intention of writing about this silly story; but, because it is to the point that it is starting to sound ridiculous, I felt some commentary was warranted.

Firstly, my positions:

  1. I am not a Rick Perry fan boy
  2. I think this whole “NiggerHead” story is borderline tabloid news nonsense
  3. I do not honestly believe that Rick Perry is a racist — like the Democrats in Texas.

Look, I think this sort of “Guilt by association” thing is nuts — to a point.  What I mean is this — it is one thing to be a part of a Church, who’s Pastor says things, such as “God Damn America” and you, your wife and kids go there and interact with those people.  It is another entirely to try to tie someone to, of all things — a rock, that was painted over long before you even rented the property.

Furthermore, I think Conservatives who are attacking Herman Cain need to shut up.  Herman Cain is a black man and I do believe that entitles the man to make any comment about race or racism that he sees fit make, if he so feels fit to do so.  Besides all of that, Herman Cain said he was not playing the race card and I do tend to believe him.  Herman Cain is not Al Sharpton my friends, nor is he Louis Farrakhan; and I believe Conservatives should not be reacting to Herman Cain’s comments as if he is Louis Farrakhan or Al Sharpton either.

My biggest issue with Rick Perry is from Texas and that he possesses a bit of that Texas swagger.  The United States of America, nor the Republican Party, nor the Conservative movement need another Texas swagger leader again.  We had that for eight years in this Country and it did nothing for this Country, at all.  We found this out with Iraq, the bailouts, no child left behind and all of the rest of the former President’s blunders.  Granted, this current President makes the former look like a Rhodes Scholar.  However, I do not wear partisan blinders and I know full of the blunders of the last President.  My question to all of you is; do we want that….again?

Thus is the conflict of conservative politics — purity versus electability.  If conservative politics were drugs, Ron Paul is Persian white heroin.  The problem is this; Ron Paul addicts, as it were, just love him.  The rest of us, are scared to death of him and his foreign policy!  Therefore, to be clear here, I am, by no means, a Bill Kristol or a John Podhoretz type, when it comes to foreign policy — but a little common sense is needed when dealing with the Middle East.  I will not belabor the point; I think you all know what I mean here.  (I hope!)

Simply put, purity over electability will be the death knell of the Republican Party.  Just ask anyone who was around in 1964 in the Republican Party.

Michele Bachmann’s campaign sputters

It is a sad thing, but I knew it was coming:

Reporting from Des Moines—

Michele Bachmann’s appearance on a talk radio show here should have been a breeze. Ronald Reagan was a sportscaster at the station in his early days, and his memorabilia is sprinkled around the office. The host was a friendly conservative.

But Bachmann repeatedly was asked the central question for her campaign: Does she have to win Iowa’s caucuses to keep her presidential campaign alive? She danced around an answer, saying she planned to win, until finally relenting when asked a third time whether failure would doom her effort.

“No, no, no, no,” Bachmann said, her voice growing uncertain. “Not necessarily; we might go on.”

It was a rare moment of audible frustration for the Minnesota congresswoman, and the break in her perennially cheery demeanor demonstrated just how much her bid does rest on Iowa.

After she formally announced her candidacy at her birthplace of Waterloo, about 100 miles northeast of here, Bachmann surged, capping the summer with a win at the straw poll in Ames. Since then, her candidacy has sputtered.

via Michele Bachmann’s campaign is sputtering in Iowa – latimes.com.

—–

To be quite honest with you, I never really thought that Bachmann would get anywhere. That because the woman just had no substance at all. Not to mention her record is a bit light. She was, essentially, Sarah Palin with time served. Which is quite cruel to say; but it is the truth.

Now for my Conservative Christian viewpoint:

As most of you know, I am a Fundamentalist Baptist, King James Bible and all that. Anyhow, the reason why are not more Conservative Christian women running for office? Because most of them are not feminists and are busy staying at home and raising their children. Instead of throwing their principles into the wind and doing what obviously should be a man’s job.

I know it sounds horrible; but hey, there was a time, when it was not considered to be Conservative for a woman to run for office. I happen to be of that “Old School” mindset, that happens to believe that it still should be that way. 😀

It seems that Rod Dreher has returned to blogging.

I did not always agree with him, but I always found his viewpoints interesting. I did agree with him on Palin and McCain however. I will be adding him to the blogroll.

Iran floats bogus charges against Pastor

Remember that Iranian Pastor I wrote about? Well, it seems Iran is really trying hard to kill this guy:

Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani will be put to death for several charges of rape and extortion, charges that differ greatly from his original sentence of apostasy, Iran’s semi-official Fars News agency reported Friday.

Gholomali Rezvani, the deputy governor of Gilan province, where Nadarkhani was tried and convicted, accused Western media of twisting the real story, referring to him as a “rapist.” A previous report from the news agency claimed he had committed several violent crimes, including repeated rape and extortion.

“His crime is not, as some claim, converting others to Christianity,” Rezvani told Fars. “He is guilty of security-related crimes.”

In a translated Iranian Supreme Court brief from 2010, however, the charge of apostasy is the only charge leveled against Nadarkhani.

“Mr. Youcef Nadarkhani, son of Byrom, 32-years old, married, born in Rasht in the state of Gilan is convicted of turning his back on Islam, the greatest religion the prophesy of Mohammad at the age of 19,” reads the brief.

via Iranian pastor faces death for rape, not apostasy – report – CNN.com.

So much for that Religion of tolerance, eh? If we cannot put you to death for trying to muscle in on our turf; we’ll fabricate false charges against you!

Of course, Iran is operating under Shariah law and if we are not really careful here in America, that crap will end up here.

Ron Paul Condemns the killing of Al-Awlaki

There do seem to be two sides to this argument. Check out the exchange over at The National Review Online’s blog, the corner, between Andy McCarthy and Kevin Williamson Also, for good measure check out AllahPundit over Hotair’s feelings about it too. Just a short fun fact, AllahPundit was within 5 miles of the trade center when it was hit on 9/11.

Personally, I feel that the dude should have been killed; he was actively recruiting people for Jihad or in American terms, for war with the United States and would be considered a traitor to the United States. Due process? Feh. The people who died on 9/11 were not given any due process or even a choice whether to live or die. So, that whole bat shit crazy argument does not even fly with me.

Further more, this is why I despise Ron Paul with every damned fiber of my being; the man is a terrorist supporting jackal. Anyone who would side with those, or even have pity of those who would want to hurt this Country, ought be frog marched out into the public square and shot. I am sorry if that offends anyone; but it is just how I feel. Ron Paul and his merry band of leftists are a disgrace to this Country and everything it stands for. They call themselves Republicans and Conservatives — I call them bastards, evil, rotten to the damned core bastards, who should be locked in an insane asylum.

Update: Looks like Gary Johnson feels the same way, which is another reason why neither of these two idiots will ever be President:

UPDATED: Good: Anwar al-Awlaki is dead

Another one bites the dust:

Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S.-born radical Islamic preacher who rose to the highest level of al Qaeda’s franchise in Yemen, has been killed.

Al-Awlaki, born in New Mexico, has been linked to al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula’s (AQAP) attempted bombing of a U.S. passenger jet over Detroit on Christmas day, 2009, and was thought to be a leader of the group.

A U.S. government official confirms to CBS News senior security correspondent David Martin that al-Awlaki was killed. Yemen’s Defense Ministry was first to tell CBS News of the strike, but given previous reports which turned out to be erroneous, the relatively rapid U.S. confirmation is crucial, and bolsters witness accounts that it was a U.S. drone strike that killed the al Qaeda figure.

The Associated Press reported that an unidentified source said the U.S. believes al-Awlaki was killed in a strike by U.S. jets and drones on his convoy.

U.S. officials considered al-Awlaki a most-wanted terror suspect, and added his name last year to the kill or capture list – making him a rare American addition to what is effectively a U.S. government hit-list.

Al-Awlaki’s father, who still lives in the U.S., filed a lawsuit against the federal government, claiming his son’s civil rights were violated by the U.S. call for his killing.

A federal court dismissed Nasser al-Awlaki’s suit on Dec. 7, 2010, on the grounds that he had no legal standing to challenge the targeting of his son.

A statement from Yemen’s foreign press office said the al Qaeda suspect “was targeted and killed 8 KM (about 5 miles) from the town of Khashef in the Province of Jawf, 140KM (about 80 miles) east of the Capital Sana’a.”

Al-Arabiya television network cited local tribal sources as saying suspected U.S. drone aircraft – which are known to operate in Yemen – fired two missiles Friday at a convoy of vehicles believed to be carrying al-Awlaki and his guards.

Update #2: Ed Morrissey is reporting that American Samir Khan has also been killed

Video: A perfect reason why I stopped voting for Democrats

(H/T HotAir.com)

Ed Morrissey says:

If African-Americans don’t do well among Republicans, it’s evidence of racism, and now if they do get support among Republicans, that’s also racism. It’s an unanswerable assertion that not only is completely circular in its logic, it’s also lunacy. Basically, Garofalo is kind of like a cult member who insists that every data point supports her religious belief, regardless of whether it contradicts with other data points that are also used in defense of groupthink. That means she’s making the argument in the right venue, anyway.

Which explains why I stopped voting for the Democratic Party, I just do not do “group think,” at all. Further more, the Democratic Party was the party of segregation and of the Klan. So, this is a piss poor attempt to deflect the attention away from them. It’s sheer craziness and I am convinced that this chick is crazy, along with her host; which is why he is no longer on MSNBC.

Christian persecution in Iran

This is just awful:

Evangelical Pastor Faces Imminent Execution in Iran

By Joseph Perkins | Christian Post Contributor

Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani needs Christians around the world to stand in the gap for him as he faces execution Thursday at the hands of the Iranian government. That was the urgent email message disseminated Wednesday by International Christian Concern, a Washington, D.C., organization that assists the worldwide persecuted Christian church.

Nadarkhani, leader of a 400-strong house church movement in Rasht, Iran, was arrested in October 2009 for opposing the Islamic republic’s requirement that non-Muslim students read the Quran in school. The Christian pastor had argued that the Iranian constitution permitted children to be raised in their parents’ faith.

In September 2010, an Iranian regional court sentenced Nadarkhani to death by hanging for “convert(ing) to Christianity” and “encourag(ing) other Muslims to convert to Christianity.”

The Iranian Supreme Court upheld the 34-year-old Christian pastor’s death sentence this past July, while ordering a reexamination of the case. That reexamination began this past Sunday and continued the following three days.

On Wednesday, Nadarkhani refused for the fourth time in open court to renounce his Christian faith. That’s one opportunity more than required under Iranian law to execute the pastor for apostasy.

via Evangelical Pastor Faces Imminent Execution in Iran, Christian News.

At the risk of sounding like a neoconservative; this is just wrong. This sort of religious oppression should not be permitted to continue. On the other hand, it is an Islamic State and he was practicing Christianity there.  Still, the death penalty seems a bit harsh. Just the same, invading that Country would not be an easy task, as we found out in Iraq,  John Bolton and his crowd would love to see America invade that Country. However, clear minded folk, like myself, consider the risk, and loss of life; and quite frankly, it would not be worth it really. As it could destabilize that region further.

The Bottom Line: While the Christian in me think that this man being killed is awful. The Conservative libertarian in me, who believes in personal responsibility, says that this man knew the risks of going into an Islamic Country and starting a Church. For this, he was caught and imprisoned.  In short, he broke the law in Iran and was caught, and now must pay for his crimes. The point is this; you do not want to be executed for crimes of this nature in Iran, then stay out of the Country.

Video: Black and Latino Flash Mob attacks white man in his own house

This is why I believe very strongly in the second amendment.

The Video:

Philly.com reports:

ABOUT 11 P.M. on Sept. 9, dozens of youths with bats and pipes descended on a tidy residential area of Port Richmond looking for white teens who allegedly had attacked an African-American kid at Stokely Playground a couple of hours earlier.

Two fearful white teens spotted Mark LaVelle on Indiana Avenue near Belgrade Street and asked for help. Suddenly, the mob appeared. LaVelle, who said that he didn’t know the two kids, who looked to be 13 or 14, ran with them into his nearby house.

” ‘We got you, you white mother——-!’ “ LaVelle said he heard someone yell in the “mob” of black and Hispanic youths.

Inside his house, LaVelle, 37, called to his wife, Kim, 30, to go to their bedroom with their twin 13-month-old boys, Mark and Mason, and to call police. He also ordered his two other sons, 11 and 17, and his nephew, 7, to stay upstairs.

With the two teens hiding in the house, LaVelle, 5 feet 10, 220 pounds, a well-known sports-league organizer and coach in the community, went outside to try to calm the angry mob.

They were standing on his steps. One shouted, ” ‘Something’s going to happen now!’ ” LaVelle recalled in an interview Friday at his house. LaVelle got nervous and went back inside, locking his door with a deadbolt.

But the attackers pounded on his front windows and kicked his wooden door so hard, it flew open and some of them entered his house.

“The first guy hits me with a pipe. The second guy knocks me in the face. All I’m hearing is my wife and kids screaming,” said LaVelle, who feared that the next time they saw him, he would be in a casket.

He said that he was able to push the attackers out the door, but then a third man – who had a gun – tried to extend his arm. LaVelle grabbed onto the gunman’s lower arm and shoulder so he couldn’t raise the weapon. Then, police sirens screamed in the neighborhood, and the mob turned and ran…

…LaVelle said that the next day the mother of the juvenile came back with some other people, banging on his door, screaming. LaVelle, who was at a charity sports event, was called back to the house by one of his sons.

When he got home, LaVelle said, the mother yelled at him, ” ‘You white mother——, you got my kid locked up! You got my son locked up because he’s black, you’re white!’ “ The mother claimed that her son had been “a witness,” not an attacker. To that, LaVelle said if that were true, it would come out in court.

But the mother, according to LaVelle, then yelled: ” ‘If you make it to court! I know where you live!’ “

All the more reason to buy a gun and get licensed to own it and buy lots and lots of ammo! (and not just click links! You know who you are! BUY THE STUFF!)  Just think how differently this would have turned out, had this guy been armed.

WHAT?!?!: NC Governor: “Hey let’s suspend the elections for a while!”

Oh Sweet Jesus on a t-model Ford already! I thought Rep. Sheila Jackson was a little off in the head!

Turns out North Carolina’s Government makes her look rather smart!

Via the Daily Caller:

As a way to solve the national debt crisis, North Carolina Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue recommends suspending Congressional elections for the next couple of years.

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, North Carolina, according to the Raleigh News and Observer. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”

Perdue said she thinks that temporarily halting elections would allow members of Congress to focus on the economy. “You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things,” Perdue said.

Of course, the Republicans of NC were not to0 keen on the idea…:

North Carolina Republicans immediately scoffed at Perdue’s proposal, pointing out to her that elections hold politicians accountable for their actions. “Now is a time when politicians need to be held accountable more than ever,” North Carolina GOP spokesman Rob Lockwood said in an email to The Daily Caller. “To suspend an election would be removing the surest mechanism that citizens have to hold politicians accountable: The right to vote.”

But that is what the hardcore Communists Progressives want; to get rid of the Election process, so that they can keep a Communist Progressive in the White House. This way they can fulfill their Communist dream of total Governmental Control and of the elimation of Conservative thought and action. It is their real goal. In fact, I have gotten e-mails that say that very thing. So, it is not just paranoid talk from a Right-Wing Blogger, in this case, it is the truth.

Why Do Conservative Christians do stupid stuff like this?

I swear, as if the secular world needs any more reasons to believe that we Christians are Bible-carrying whack jobs…..

The video is here over at the Blaze, if you really want to watch it. I have not watched it, because I find stuff like this to be cringe inducing.

The Story:

A bizarre Bible-thumping heckler called President Obama “the Antichrist” as the Secret Service dragged him out of a presidential fund-raiser Monday.

The bearded young man, identified by the Secret Service as David Serrano, was standing in the front row closest to the stage at the House of Blues in Los Angeles when he began shouting, “Christian God is the one and only true living God, the Creator of heaven and the universe!”

Obama smiled uncomfortably as the crowd drowned the heckler out with chants of “Four more years!”

The Secret Service marched the heckler to the exit, but not before he yelled out, “Jesus Christ is God! Barack Obama is the Antichrist!”

Facing a mostly friendly crowd, the self-possessed President coolly continued with his speech, saying, “All right, where was I? It is good to be back in L.A.”

Serrano was questioned and released without charges, the Secret Service said.

Tony Bell, spokesman for Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, says Serrano has been a fixture at county meetings for a couple years, giving long, rambling religious statements predicting earthquakes and the apocalypse.

“He yells out his statements, which are very mistaken, odd interpretations of scriptures,” Bell said. “He’s been pretty close to being thrown out of our meetings. When he calls Supervisor Antonovich ‘Mikey,’ it’s very vitriolic. He’s not a pleasant guy. He talks about Jews in his diatribes and seems very anti-Semitic. I don’t have the impression he’s dangerous, but he has issues that could use some help.

via Bible-thumping heckler identified as David Serrano calls President Obama ‘the Antichrist’.

Okay, any other time, I would take this at face value; but this guy could be quite genuine. The problem I have is this; is going to an appearance of the President of United States of America and screaming at him and calling the Anti-Christ really doing anything for our cause? I mean, really. 🙄

It seems that Christians could be doing some useful things with their time, like maybe trying to win the lost to Christ? Instead of going to public appearances of the President of the United States of America and making a mockery of Christianity. I am not mocking Christians at all; as I am one myself. However, I think that doing stuff like what this idiot is doing; does nothing for our cause.

I am no more a fan of this President, than anyone else on the Christian Right; but this does nothing for us, at all. 🙁

Romney wins Michigan straw poll

Not a big surprise, but, it’s news.

Via HotLine On-Call

Mackinaw island, Mich. – In a rout, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney trounced Rick Perry and the rest of the GOP field to win the National Journal Hotline/National Association of Home Builders Straw Poll of GOP activists attending a weekend conference in Michigan.

Romney received 51 percent of the 681 votes cast, a whopping 34-percentage point victory over second-place Perry, who garnered 17 percent. It was the second straight defeat for Perry in a straw poll, after he finished second in another contest Saturday in Florida. The twin disappointments, along with weak debate performances, have raised questions about whether the Texas governor will remain the perceived front-runner in the GOP nomination fight.

Romney grew up in suburban Detroit and in the Michigan governor’s mansion; his father, George Romney, served as the state’s chief executive from 1963 to 1969. Michigan is likely to hold its presidential nomination contest on Feb. 28, a week before Super Tuesday. It is also an important state in the general election contest.

Both Romney and Perry addressed the conference Saturday, and while Perry took subtle digs at his GOP rival, Romney denounced President Obama’s economic leadership. “I just don’t think he’s equipped for what’s happening,” the former Massachusetts governor said.

Like I’ve said on here a bunch of times, I do not like Mitt Romney. I have my reasons, like this here. … And that’s just for starters.

Hopefully, Herman Cain can pull off the nomination. Because a choice between the Mormon moron and Texas swagger cowboy, is really no choice at all.

Good grief HotAir.com!

So finally HotAir.com gets around to reporting a story, that I reported about 3 days ago. (and they’re a big blog?!?!)

…and in the subtitle under the picture for the story, we see this:

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.”

The quote above, is a liberal screwball translation of Hebrews 4:12.

This is the same scripture from the version of the Bible that was used in the United States for over three hundred years — The King James Version of the Holy Scriptures:

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)

But yet, HotAir.com claims to be a “Conservative” Blog. I find that very troubling.

…and no, I am not kidding at all.

This is what Ronald Reagan said about the King James Version of the Bible: (Via AV1611.org)

The following transcript is one of Ronald Reagan’s famous radio addresses. In this address (which aired September 6, 1977), Ronald Reagan, the great orator, eloquently gives his thoughts on the “Good News Bible” (also called the Good News for Modern Man and Today’s English Version) in comparison to the Authorized Version or the King James Bible.

What would you say if someone decided Shakespeare’s plays, Charles Dicken’s novels, or the music of Beethoven could be rewritten & improved?     I’ll be right back. . .Writing in the journal “The Alternative”, Richard Hanser, author of The Law & the Prophets and Jesus: What Manner of Man Is This?, has called attention to something that is more than a little mind boggling. It is my understanding that the Bible (both the Old & New Testaments) has been the best selling book in the entire history of printing. Now another attempt has been made to improve it. I say another because there have been several fairly recent efforts to quote “make the Bible more readable & understandable” unquote. But as Mr. Hanser so eloquently says, “For more than 3 1/2 centuries, its language and its images, have penetrated more deeply into the general culture of the English speaking world, and been more dearly treasured, than anything else ever put on paper.” He then quotes the irreverent H. L. Mencken, who spoke of it as purely a literary work and said it was, “probably the most beautiful piece of writing in any language.”

They were, of course, speaking of The Authorized Version, the one that came into being when the England of King James was scoured for translators & scholars. It was a time when the English language had reached it’s peak of richness & beauty.

Now we are to have The Good News Bible which will be in, “the natural English of everyday adult conversation.” I’m sure the scholars and clergymen supervised by the American Bible Society were sincerely imbued with the thought that they were taking religion to the people with their Good News Bible, but I can’t help feeling we should instead be taking the people to religion and lifting them with the beauty of language that has outlived the centuries.

Mr. Hanser has quoted from both the St. James Version & the Good News Bible some well known passages for us to compare. A few thousand years ago Job said “How forcible are right words!” [Job 6:25] The new translators have him saying “Honest words are convincing.” That’s only for openers. There is the passage [Eccl. 1:18], “For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow”. Is it really an improvement to say instead, “The wiser you are, the more worries you have; the more you know the more it hurts.”

In the New Testament, in Mathew, we read “The voice of the one crying in the wilderness. Prepare ye the way.” [Matthew 3:3] The Good News version translates that, “Someone is shouting in the desert. Get the road ready.” It sounds like a straw boss announcing lunch hour is over.

The hauntingly beautiful 23rd Psalm is the same in both versions, for a few words, “The Lord is my shepherd” but instead of continuing “I shall not want” we are supposed to say “I have everything I need.”

The Christmas story has undergone some modernizing but one can hardly call it improved. The wondrous words “Fear not: for; behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy” has become, “Don’t be afraid! I am here with good news for you.”

The sponsors of the Good News version boast that their Bible is as readable as the daily paper – and so it is. But do readers of the daily news find themselves moved to wonder, “at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth”? Mr. Hanser suggests that sadly the “tinkering & general horsing around with the sacred texts will no doubt continue” as pious drudges try to get it right. “It will not dawn on them that it has already been gotten right.”

This is Ronald Reagan. Thanks for listening.

The Classless Left: Exhibit ST for Stacy Trasancos

…..and no, I am not calling Stacy Trasancos a classless lefty — but rather those attacking her.

This is Stacy Trasancos. This is her Blog.

Stacy is a former Baptist, turned Catholic. But, I won’t hold it against her. 😉

Stacy wrote a blog posting basically venting her frustration with gays. Because of this, the ugly left and ugly gays unleashed on her. See here and Here. Also, read the comments on that blog posting, some of them are threatening in nature. 😡 So, much for that New Tone we keep hearing about eh? 🙄

As I’ve wrote on here before; I don’t consider myself the greatest field service rep for Christianity. But I stand behind those who dare to say; “ya know? This is just flipping wrong…”

Hang in there Stacy. We’re with ya Lady! … God Bless You.

Stacy Trasancos with her seriously cute children!

Proving what I have believed about the left for a very long time; well, since blogging from 2006 on. That the left in this Country does not believe in freedom of speech or thought. That is because they are straight up fascists. Which is why I left, the left, like some other people I know.

Keep this in mind in 2012, will you please?

UPDATED: Signs of the times: San Juan Capistrano, California demands that Bible Study group get permit to gather – UPDATED WITH CONTACT INFO

My dear readers…

Please know this…

As it says on my page titled “Christian???” — This blog was never originally intended to be a “Christian” blog, at all. This Blog was originally intended to be a Political Blog, with a slightly right of center stance. However, on some issues, I have drifted much more to the right, than when I first began blogging.

Also know, that I just do not consider myself a good enough Christian to be a spokesman for Christianity, the Church and all related matters. This is why I very rarely blog about Bible doctrine, or even quote scriptures on here. As it might offend someone somewhere.

However, there are times, when the actions of a Government intersect with Christianity and I must report on it; and when I do, I will usually quote the Bible.

Having said all that; here is a story, that really burns my boots. It comes via WorldNetDaily.com, whom I very rarely link to, but this one stuck out:

Chuck and Stephanie Fromm already have been fined $300 for holding Bible studies for their friends at their home, and they face the potential for additional fines of $500 for each study held, according to a legal team taking their case to court.

The newest conflict over Bible studies in homes in America arose in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., where city officials say city code section 9-3.301 prohibits religious organizations in residential neighborhoods without a conditional-use permit, a sometimes very expensive procedure.

The code cites “churches, temples, synagogues, monasteries, religious retreats, and other places of religious worship and other fraternal and community service organizations.”

But a Bible study in a home?

“Imposing a heavy-handed permit requirement on a home Bible study is outrageous,” said Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, which is working on the case on behalf of the Fromms.

“In a city so rich with religious history and tradition, this is particularly egregious. An informal gathering in a home cannot be treated with suspicion by the government, or worse than any other gathering of friends, just because it is religious. We cannot allow this to happen in America, and we will fight as long and as hard as it takes to restore this group’s religious freedom.”

WND has reported on similar issues in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and in Gilbert, Ariz.

In this case, the city is demanding that the home Bible study is banned because it is a “church,” unless it purchases a ‘Conditional Use Permit” from the city.

Pacific Justice said it has represented larger churches that have been required to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars as part of the permit process on such items as engineering and traffic studies, architectural designs. The process includes public hearings and ultimately can result in a rejection by the city.

Pacific Justice says the Fromms already have been fined $300, and an appeal to the city was denied.

The organization points out that the city was founded as a Christian mission in the 1700s and is home to California’s oldest building still in use, a chapel where Father Junipero Serra celebrated mass.

Pacific Justice said it is appealing the city’s demands to California Superior Court in Orange County.

A message WND left with the city did not produce a return call.

My friends, as much as I would like to get excited about this; and start rifling on about it. I cannot. That is because this sort of stuff was predicted by the Bible:

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:12-17 KJV)

And…:

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matthew 5:10-12 KJV)

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. — (John 15:18-20 KJV)

There are a whole bunch more; but I think you get the point. We are, everyday, getting closer to when that trumpet sounds and we the true believers will be taken from this place and transformed from these fleshly bodies to our new bodies. I for one, cannot wait.

Yeah Sure! — Palestinian officials say Jews welcome

How stupid do they really believe that the people of Israel really are? This stupid, I guess:

Palestinian officials are rolling out the welcome mat for Jews to come to a new Palestinian state.

Trying to tamp down a controversy over whether a Palestinian state would be Jew-free, Mahmoud Habbash, the Palestinian minister of religious affairs, said a future state would be open to people of all religions, including Jews.

“The future Palestinian state will be open to all its citizens, regardless of their religion,” Habbash said, according to USA Today. “We want a civil state, which in it live all the faiths, Muslim, Christian and Jews also if they agree, (and) accept to be Palestinian citizens.”

Maen Areikat, the Palestine Liberation Organization’s ambassador to the United States, told POLITICO that his comments earlier this week which some interpreted as meaning Jews would not be welcome were misconstrued.

via Palestinian officials: Jews welcome – Josh Gerstein and MJ Lee – POLITICO.com.

If you believe that bunch of ignorant nonsense, I have land to sell you cheap in Texas at a buck an acre.

Any Jew that is foolish enough to buy this sort of foolishness, deserves the very fate that befalls them.

These are the same bastards that attacked us on 9/11, they should never be trusted, ever. 😡

Video: Joseph Farah a radical communist?!?!?!

Yesterday, I was browsing around over at WorldNetDaily and I happen to come upon a video made by Victoria Jackson. It is of her interviewing WorldNetDaily Founder Joseph Farah.

I found the video itself to be very amusing and interesting at the same time. Although the camera whipping around back and forth did make me feel like I was going to sailing out of my chair and did make me feel like I wanted to puke a few times.

Either way, it is an awesome interview and it looks like me and Joe Farah have a bunch in common. 😀

The Video:

…and by the way, if you are wondering about this here; Yes, I still stand by that statement. Which is why I rarely ever quote or link to anything WorldNetDaily publishes. Unless I don’t see it anywhere else. I published the video, because I thought it to be interesting.

UPDATED : Woman Detained on flight from Denver to Detroit, whines about it on her blog.

You know, I hate to be an a-hole about this sort of a thing. But there just some things that I cannot and will not overlook.

Anyhow, some woman of Arab and Jewish decent was detained at Detroit Metro Airport on a flight from Denver. She was strip-searched and now has taken to her blog to whine about it and also use racist imagery. For the record, here is a news article about it.

She starts her blog posting:

Silly me. I thought flying on 9/11 would be easy. I figured most people would choose not to fly that day so lines would be short, planes would be lightly filled and though security might be ratcheted up, we’d all feel safer knowing we had come a long way since that dreadful Tuesday morning 10 years ago.

But then armed officers stormed my plane, threw me in handcuffs and locked me up.

At first, when I started reading the post; I actually felt sorry for the lady. You know, innocent woman being strip-searched and such. But then, as I got further in the article, I started seeing things like this:

They took him to another room, and I heard an officer tell him to remove his clothes. He was going to be searched. I could not fully grasp what was happening. I stared at the yellow walls and listened to a few officers talk about the overtime they were racking up, and I decided that I hated country music. I hated speedboats and shitty beer in coozies and fat bellies and rednecks. I thought about Abu Ghraib and the horror to which those prisoners were exposed. I thought about my dad and his prescience.  I was glad he wasn’t alive to know about what was happening to me. I thought about my kids, and what would have happened if they had been there when I got taken away. I contemplated never flying again. I thought about the incredible waste of taxpayer dollars in conducting an operation like this. I wondered what my rights were, if I had any at all. Mostly, I could not believe I was sitting in some jail cell in some cold, undisclosed building surrounded by “the authorities.”

[…]

Another female officer, this one in jeans and a t-shirt came to visit me. She introduced herself as an agent–Homeland Security. She removed my handcuffs and had me follow her to a different room down a long hall and through a few doors. As we walked, I got a glimpse of the watch-stealer, a chubby middle-aged white guy with a buzz cut. He didn’t look too different from some of the officers.

[…]

After fingerprinting me and asking me about my height/weight/place and date of birth and so on, a middle-aged white cop with a beer belly and a flat top returned me–without handcuffs–to the cell. I waited, wondering if I would be spending the night locked up. I thought about the last words my husband said to me while I was still on the plane waiting on the tarmac, “They must have found out there was a Hebshi on the plane.” We joke about this at times, that because of my ethnicity I am being scrutinized but I had no intention of putting that out to the universe and making it happen.

…and the real humdinger is this one:

I thought about Malcom X and how bravely and fastidiously he studied and wrote while he was in prison, how his solitude enabled him to transform his anger into social change and personal betterment. That’s when I decided to write this post. I needed to explain what had happened–was happening–to me. I was not going to be silent. Still, I wondered what my rights were, and though I felt violated and scared I wasn’t sure that our new laws protected me from this treatment.

There is also this….:

I wondered what my rights were, and though I felt violated and scared I wasn’t sure that our new laws protected me from this treatment.

If this woman wants any sympathy from me, she needs to get off of the racist stereotypes of white people. If I would have penned this article, ripping on this woman, because she happens to be a Jewish/Arab half breed, I would be called every sort of names, you know, like Anti-Semitic and racist? I found that to be extremely offensive and I told her so, in some very colorful language as to that fact.

Further more, what about the people in the World Trade Center towers, who had to choose between burning alive or being crushed to death or jumping from the building and dying. You do not think those people did not feel violated and scared?

Again, I do not cheer this woman’s misfortune, but this is the era we live in; the post-911 era. Thanks to the action of a group of Arab Muslim terrorists, we now live into a era of hyper-security. If this woman wants to register a complaint; she should try registering it to Al-Qaeda, better yet, let her register a complaint to the Muslim community here in America and abroad and condemn them for not standing up and saying that they are not doing enough to stand up against radical Muslims.

I have to wonder, how much of that story was embellished or as we usually call it — made up?

Remember folks, As Debbie Schlussel says, 9/11 was a MUSLIM Job and we, the American people were the true victims, not Arabs or Muslims.  But then again, this woman sounds like a moronic liberal idiot, who always thinks directly backward of a sane, rational, human being. As Dr. Michael Savage says — Liberalism is a mental disorder. Update: Don’t believe me? Just look right here. How stupid can people be?!? 🙄

Update: It appears that my article has hit a nerve. I got one thing to say…:

You see, nobody thought of their rights. No one cared. Liberals, Muslims and Democrats thought we were the “Great Satan” and deserved it. This is why I bitched about this article.

T-Paw Endorses Mitt Romney

Ed Morrissey says he did not see this one coming. But, I did. I mean, why not? One moderate squishy Republican endorses another.

Here’s the official news via The Politico:

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty endorsed Mitt Romney for president Monday, praising his onetime rival for his “leadership ability” and the “depth and scope of [his] private-sector experience.”

“I believe he’s going to be our party’s nominee,” Pawlenty said on “Fox and Friends,” predicting Romney would be a “transformational and great president.”

Less than a month after ending his own White House bid, Pawlenty was in sync with the Romney campaign’s message on everything from jobs to health care, to Social Security and Rick Perry.

Asked how he could endorse a candidate who he once mocked as the author of “Obamneycare,” Pawlenty said he’d spoken about health care with Romney and concluded: “Mitt Romney is 100 percent dedicated and committed to repealing Obamacare.”

Here is the underlying reason, I think and no, it is not a V.P. spot either:

“Gov. Romney wants to fix Social Security. He doesn’t want to abolish it or end it,” Pawlenty said. “Gov. Perry has said in the past that he thought it was ‘failed.'”

Pawlenty, who is joining the Romney campaign as a national co-chairman, said he wasn’t angling for any other job in giving Romney an early endorsement.

“I’m not going to consider being VP. I was down that path once before with John McCain,” he said. “That won’t be part of the future for me.”

Which is all great and wonderful; except for one little thing —- Romney is a habitual liar. So much so, that former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm had to call him on it once already. That is my rub with man; plus he is Mormon and I trust those people about as far as I can throw them. If you will read that link to my blog posting regarding Jennifer Granholm, you will see why I wrote what I did. The man just cannot and will not tell the truth about what he believes. He tells what he wants the people to hear. He also changes his positions with the winds of politics. You know, like a Conservative John Kerry?

Anyhow, here is Paw’s official suck up endorsement via NRO:

Great crises often produce great leaders. Unfortunately, sometimes the timing isn’t right, and neither is the leader.

Barack Obama came into office in the midst of a great economic crisis. Although hopes were high, he did not rise to the occasion. Now that the clouds of enthusiasm and excitement have parted, we see he was obviously unsuited for the task at hand.

President Obama has failed to meet America’s economic challenges.

His three years of spending, regulating, and taxing have not restarted the economy. Unemployment remains at a shocking 9.1 percent. Economic growth is hovering on the edge of a renewed recession.

Abroad, the standing of the United States appears uncertain and adrift under the failed leadership of a president who prefers chastising allies to condemning foes.

Fortunately, America may get a second chance: Mitt Romney is running for president, and I am proud to endorse him.

So, what does this do? Well, for starters; this essentially pushes John Huntsman and possibly Michelle Bachmann out of the picture. Romney now has an endorsement behind him. This also mounts a rather large moderate challenge to Rick Parry, who did say that Social Security was a “Ponzi Scheme,” which does drive off some of the older folk within the Republican Party.

As for Michelle bachmann; I do not see her as even electable. Her lack of real legislation record, her husband and her wearing her Christianity on her sleeve — all make her undesirable to people, who just want jobs and want this Country to stop spending itself into a hole. Tea Party or no Tea Party, Bachmann is just not my…well, cup of…tea.

The American people just want to get back to work and leave the soul saving to the Church — thank you very much.

Either way, this race should be very, very interesting in the next coming weeks.
