Gateway Pundit says, “Dixiecrat Alert!” Which is kinda funny. But that is not what this is; well, first off, if a white Conservative had said all that. The Democrats and the liberal talkers would be swinging from the trees — so to speak — in indignation. That person would be also decried as a racist bigot too. Anyhow, that is not what this is; what you just heard, was the black liberal base griping and complaining, because the President is not kissing up to these people. For what is is worth; this same thing happened in the era of Bill Clinton. Does anyone remember the “sister soulja moment?” Well, this could be called the “Brother Barry Moment.”
What these people are getting a painful lesson in, is this; these people are getting a painful lesson in what happens when you elect an activist President and try to use him for influence peddling. These people thought that they would elect this man and be use the office the President of the United States as their ally in the White House for their pet causes. Well, cold and wet towel to the face for these people; it worked — to a point. They got their man in there, but he has proven himself to be his own person and not influenced by anyone, except his own agenda. This happens all the time. George W. Bush did it to an extent; there were people on the Conservative side that wanted to influence peddle him as well. George W. Bush ended up doing the same thing to those people, and they ended up getting on radio and whining about it. I heard some of it. This also happened to a larger extent with Ronald Reagan’s Presidency as well. There were people on the far-far right who thought than Ronald Reagan was going to be a Christian Conservative activist President.
Well, needless to say, that never happened. We still have abortion in this Country and we still do not have, nor will we EVER have Prayer back in school. That is because this sort of activism does not work in the White House. The President of the United States only has so much power and can only do so much. That is why there is three branches of Government; Legislative, Executive, and Legislative —- and each are limited in scope and each checks the other. It keeps from the other branches from getting out of control. —- or at least that is how it is supposed to work.
This is, simple, high school level, Government class stuff. I am quite shocked that the Liberals do not seem to understand it. Of course, truth be told, most people on the left, especially the far-far-socialist left; wants a communist dictatorship. They will never admit that, but it is what they want.
Obviously I am not happy about Mike Bouchard not winning the primary.
However, I do understand why it is that Mike Bouchard was not able to pull off a victory. Well, frankly, it was this:

There we just too many people running on the Republican ticket. As you can see above, there were five names on the ballot for Republicans; there were two on the Democratic Party side. If it had been Tom George and Mike Bouchard; Bouchard would have aced the race. But because you had three big ticket names in the race and one person that I had never heard of; Bouchard just was not able to pull it off.
Seeing that Bouchard is out of the race, I will support and do endorse Rick Snyder for Governor of Michigan.
In other news locally here in Michigan; there was a HUGE upset in the race for Congress. Hansen Clarke, who grew up on Detroit’s lower east side, has soundly defeated Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick. WXYZ-TV has the videos and the story:
(WXYZ) – Hansen Clarke has won the Democratic nomination in the 13th Congressional District.
Clarke’s victory is an upset over sitting Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick. Many political analysts believe the legal troubles of the congresswoman’s son, former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, contributed to her loss.
Because of the nature of the district, the nomination is viewed as an automatic path to the Congressional seat.
Okay, the whole “power to the people” thing was a bit creepy. But that is to be expected amongst Democrats; as the Democratic Party was founded as the “Party of the people.” Anyhow, even as a “Right of Center” blogger, I, as someone who has lived here all my life, watching Kilpatrick having to eat crow, is one of the best things I have ever seen. The really cool part is, Kilpatrick cannot scream “Race!” at all. The man who beat her was a minority too. The truth is, Kilpatrick screwed herself, when she said, “I’m proud of my son, very proud…” I mean, that just sealed it for her. She is proud of a corrupt man? Not that anyone actually believes that; but in politics perception is a big of reality. Heck, just look at Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan. There are some on the right that cannot look at those two, without going into a Tourette’s Syndrome-type fit and screaming “Jew Hater! Anti-Semite! Racist!”
I just am hoping and Praying that the Republicans can pull off a nice victory in November. The climate is right; we just need to get the message right and not louse it up.

I voted in today’s primary. I voted for Mike Bouchard for Governor of the State of Michigan.
I ask that if you live in Michigan and you are registered to vote, that you do so. When you vote, vote for Mike Bouchard.

Go read the rest of that. Mike’s a proven leader, that knows how to get things done. Just we need for Michigan and for jobs to be returned to this area. I supported Mike Bouchard since day one and I do truly hope that he does win this primary.

…and who might be making that sort of a statement, this early in the game? No other than Arianna Huffington. Now AllahPundit says that its because she’s a hyper-partisan. But I suspect something a bit more. I suspect the liberals know that the man that they put in there is, like Jimmy Carter, has been, so far, is horrible failure. Also too; I read the article, and from what I was able to get out of it, the liberal Democrats are scared to death. They are worried because they know that they have no one to run against Obama in 2012.
Hillary you say? Forget it. Clinton’s defeat in 2008 was a wake up call for her. She’s basically finished with politics, once her term is up as Secretary of State; she is out of the political arena for good. I expect the Clinton’s will basically slip off into retirement and only come out once in a blue moon to support some candidate. I have it on good authority that the Clintons are not very happy with the new direction of the Democratic Party at all.
So, basically, what you are seeing here is a classic repeat of what happened in 2000 and 2004; and that is panic among the Liberal Democratic Party elite. Also too, it is a sounding of the alarm to try and make Palin look like a buffoon as much as possible. Which might work, although, I somehow think that the Liberal media is not really wanted to play anymore “Insider games.” With the Journalist scandal still being talked about in the Blogosphere and Conservatives being aware that the liberals were actually colluding together to shape a narrative. Liberal Media types might not be willing to play that game again. That again, is reason for panic among the liberal elite.
Which is basically a good reason to point out, that when you overreach into the media and you collude with others to bring someone down or push a narrative; and you get caught, you should not expect those players involved to want to do it again for you, ever. The sick and sad thing is, that the liberals never learn their lesson. They do this silly stuff over and over and over. Which is why the Republican Party easily trounces them in the elections.

The question of whether black lawmakers are now being singled out for scrutiny has been simmering throughout the 111th Congress, with the Office of Congressional Ethics a focal point of the concerns. At one point earlier this year, all eight lawmakers under formal investigation by the House ethics committee, including Rangel and Waters, were black Democrats. All those investigations originated with the OCE, which can make recommendations — but take no final actions — on such cases.
There’s a “dual standard, one for most members and one for African-Americans,” said one member of the Congressional Black Caucus, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The member said it’s too easy for an outside group to damage someone’s reputation by filing a claim with OCE.
“This is stacked against you once an accusation is made,” the lawmaker added. “You’re guilty until proven otherwise.”
Um, does this mean that President Obama is a racist too, against his own people?
Here’s the problem with that whole accusation:
The racism charge, though, was rejected by Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, an ethics watchdog group, even as she acknowledged the current situation is bound to anger black lawmakers.
“There are ethics problems within the CBC,” she said. “They have to acknowledge that.”
Sloan noted that several white lawmakers, including Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) and Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-Ind.), are currently under investigation by federal and congressional investigators. Ensign is being investigated by the Senate Ethics Committee and the Justice Department over the fallout from an extramarital affair he had with the wife of a top aide, while Visclosky and his former chief of staff are being probed over their ties to a now-defunct lobbying firm raided by the feds last year.
Two other white lawmakers, Reps. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) and Mark Souder (R-Ind.), resigned this year under ethical clouds. Massa left Congress after POLITICO reported he was under investigation by the ethics committee for sexually harassing male staffers, while Sounder quickly departed after admitting a long-running extramartial affair with a part-time aide. The findings from the Massa investigation have yet to be released by the ethics panel, although Massa is no longer within their jurisdiction.
So much for the fact that the ethics committee targeting the blacks in Congress!
This just shows you the mindset of the Liberal blacks in America today. They somehow believe that they are somehow entitled to break the law, because of the fact that white people kept them as salves over 300 years ago. This is a classic case liberal identity politics at its finest; and before anyone says that I am some sort of a racist for pointing this out. Save your breath, it is NOT racist of ME or anyone else to point out that the black liberals seem to believe that their black skin and their history entitles them to break the law. It seems that some writer over at John Hawkings’s Right Wing News Blog, which is a strict Neo-Conservative Blog, has posted a entry rife full of lies and outright racism towards Arabs in Detroit.
First, the racism:

This is why the Muslim colonists populating Dearbornistan are erecting a statue of Helen Thomas.
Did you get that? “Dearbornistan.” That is what your Far-Right in this Country is come to; outright racism and bigotry towards Arabs. Dearbornistan is a racist play on words for the city of Dearborn, Michigan. Which is populated by Arabs. The good majority of which are peace-loving Muslims and yes, some Christian Arabs as well. But, that is no matter to those on the far-right; they are ate up with bigotry and hatred towards the Arabs in this Country. Mainly because of 9/11. My question to them is this; do two wrongs make a right? I think not. Could you imagine if someone referred to an area of America, that was heavily populated by Jews in the same manner as this? The outrage would be absolutely deafening.

The American people, like me, just do not have any tolerance for bigotry and racism —– towards ANY race at all. This is why I voted libertarian in the 2008 election. One because I thought Sarah Palin was an idiot, and still do; two because of this sort of idiotic racist bigotry that exists in the Conservative circles. It is wrong, it should be flushed out and exposed for what it really is.
I mean, these guys are acting like the Jim Crow racist Democrats of the south prior to 1964. It is truly unreal.
Let me also say this; this sort of crap right here, is why I basically parted ways with the more Paleo-Conservative circles in the past. Because I just do not have any tolerance for this sort of nuanced bigotry and racism, and now here it is being found in the more main-stream, Neo-Conservative circles. If William F. Buckley was alive he would be fit to be tied for idiotic nonsense like this. Using 9/11 as a license to act like Klan members; it is truly unbelievable.

Home foreclosures are continuing at a brisk pace, according to an article by McClatchy News. Many of the first foreclosures that began three years ago, when the housing bubble began to burst, were for subprime mortgages. Now, however, a fresh batch of foreclosures is occurring because people have lost their jobs and can’t pay them. I am now in that category. I didn’t pay my July mortgage payment and probably will miss August as well. I haven’t been answering the phone, which rings constantly from bill collectors.
Our savings kept us afloat for a year. When it was gone, I borrowed the equity out of my life insurance. That’s gone too. We were hoping to ride out this recession, to survive until it was over.

I think it just needs to be said. This stupid nonsense with the rocket attacks into Israel from Gaza has gone on long enough. Israel needs to either step it up or shut up. Israel needs to execute a World War II style bombing attack on Gaza AND Palestine; what I mean, is this — Israel needs to bomb these damned bastards, until the last one of the lot stops breathing. I am talking about carpet bombing the entire damned lot of them. Enough is enough! Peace treaties have been signed and they failed, bogus promises have been made, and they have been reneged on. The only language that these Arab bastards seem to understand, is the end of a gun or the end of a bomb rocket. It is time to speak the language of these idiots and give them what they truly want, and that is a one way ticket to go see Allah.
Anything other that this, and Israel is just wasting their time and their resources.
But, as we all know, Israel will not do this; because they are cowards. They kowtow to the United Nations and when the U.N. says jump, they do not ask how high or when they can come down; and as long as this is the case, Israel will have to contend with these bastards. Evangelical Christian minister Tim LaHaye says that the policy initiatives put forth by the Obama administration are bringing the country “closer to the apocalypse.”
LaHaye issued the dire warning in an appearance this week on Mike Huckabee’s talk show on Fox News.
“Our present president doesn’t seem to get it,” LaHaye explained. “He doesn’t understand that some of the things he’s introducing that many of us call ‘raw socialism’ — it’s a different name, but it’s essentially government control and government domination of everything.”
The evangelical voice said of the political platform maintained by the Obama administration, “It’s going to work against our country and bringing us closer to the apocalypse.”
Huckabee went on to prod LaHaye a bit further on his assertion. “Are we now living in the end times, from your perspective?” asked the former Arkansas Governor and possible 2012 White House contender.
LaHaye’s response: “Very definitely, governor.”
Tim Lahaye does not know the hour of the coming of Christ, than anyone else. Further more, President Obama is not pushing us closer to the coming of Christ, no more than Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr., Ronald Reagan or Jimmy Carter. This is classic straight up fear-mongering.

After more than 45 years as Detroit’s trusted source for weather, WXYZ-TV Chief Meteorologist Jerry Hodak will retire from Detroit’s ABC affiliate in September.
Hodak, a native Detroiter, began his broadcasting career as a newscaster at WDET-FM at Wayne State University. He went on to report for WDBO-TV in Orlando, Florida and covered many of the early space launches from Cape Canaveral for the CBS radio and television networks.
He returned to Detroit in 1965 as a weathercaster for WJBK-TV. In 1977, he joined the WXYZ-TV family as a weathercaster and Science Editor. He currently appears on Action News at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.
“Jerry Hodak is synonymous with weather in Detroit and we will certainly miss his calming style, smooth approach and delivery,” said WXYZ-TV Vice-President and General Manager Ed Fernandez. “We in the WXYZ family are grateful for his years of service and dedication to WXYZ, the broadcast industry, and the viewers of Detroit. I have been watching this man since I was a kid still living on the southwest side of Detroit. Jerry is the best. I could go on and on about his intelligence, his even-handed cool delivery and so on. He is one the best at what he does and I believe that Detroit, Michigan will be a poorer place because of it. However, Jerry knows when it is time to retire and let the new talent take over. Jerry is a part of what I like call the “Golden Age” at WXYZ-TV in the 1960’s, 1970’s and especially in the 1980’s, when I was watching as a kid.

MARSHALL, Mich. (WXYZ) – Governor Jennifer Granholm is criticizing the company responsible for the massive oil spill in Calhoun County, saying the reaction to the disaster has been anemic. Granholm says Enbridge Energy, based in Houston, has not done enough to stop the flow of oil.
The oil was discovered leaking from a ruptured pipeline in a creek in Marshall. By Tuesday evening the slick had traveled almost 30 miles, creeping closer to Morrow Lake.
The governor declared a state of disaster in Calhoun County and other potentially affected areas to make state resources readily available.
In the path of the oil, animals, including birds and fish. Also homes that have stood for decades are now empty because some residents were forced to leave, but state and local officials say the number of evacuees has been minimal.
All told almost 850,000 gallons – or 19,500 barrels – of oil has spewed from the broken pipeline. The cause for the breach in the 30-inch diameter line is still under investigation, though it has been sealed. State officials say it was last inspected in 2009.
Enbridge Energy’s CEO says his company will be responsible for the damage the slick has caused and will compensate Michigan’s families and businesses. However no commitment has been made about how much the company will spend to repay those affected.

Hundreds of Afghan civilians who worked as informants for the U.S. military have been put at risk by WikiLeaks’ publication of more than 90,000 classified intelligence reports which name and in many cases locate the individuals, The Times newspaper reported Wednesday.
The article says, in spite of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s claim that sensitive information had been removed from the leaked documents, that reporters scanning the reports for just a couple hours found hundreds of Afghan names mentioned as aiding the U.S.-led war effort.
One specific example cited by the paper is a report on an interview conducted by military officers of a potential Taliban defector. The militant is named, along with his father and the village in which they live.
“The leaks certainly have put in real risk and danger the lives and integrity of many Afghans,” a senior official at the Afghan foreign ministry told The Times on condition of anonymity. “The U.S. is both morally and legally responsible for any harm that the leaks might cause to the individuals, particularly those who have been named. It will further limit the U.S./international access to the uncensored views of Afghans.”

A passenger jet carrying 152 people crashed into the hills surrounding Pakistan’s capital amid rain Wednesday, killing everyone aboard, an official said.
Imtiaz Elahi, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority, told The Associated Press that earlier reports of five survivors from the crash were wrong and that all aboard died. The Capital Development Authority has a group that responds to emergency situations.
Richard Snelsire, a spokesman at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad confirmed that two U.S. citizens were among the dead. The victims were not identified, pending notification of their families.
The cause of the Airblue crash was not immediately clear, said Pervez George, a civil aviation official. He said the plane had left the southern city of Karachi at 7:45 a.m. for a two-hour scheduled flight to Islamabad and was trying to land during difficult weather. Airblue is a private service based in Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city.

Al Qaeda’s second in command Ayman Al-Zawahiri has surfaced again, this time threatening more attacks against the U.S. and the West.
“Oh American people…We offered you a peace plan, and mutual benefit; but your governments were proud and haughty, and so the attacks against you followed one after another, everywhere – from Indonesia to Times Square, by way of Madrid and London. And the attacks are ongoing, and more will come one after another,” said Zawahiri, according to a transcript provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute, based in Washington, DC.
Zawahiri also continued his promise of near victory in Iraq and Afghanistan, among other issues.
Former White House national security official Richard Clarke, now an ABC News consultant, said that up until this point, there haven’t been any correlations between Zawahiri’s past threats and any attacks actually occurring.
“U.S. government and counterterrorism officials are not going to increase their alert based on Zawahiri’s statement, because of his previous track record,” Clarke said. “But they’re on relatively high alert already because of the increase in homegrown terrorist threats related to al Qaeda.”
The 47-minute audio message, a eulogy for Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid, was posted on jihadist websites July 27 by al Qaeda’s media arm Al-Sahab.

Does it not strike anyone else as extremely ironic, that the United States of America, with all of it’s vast capabilities of spying, with all of it’s military might, with all of it’s ability to track down and hunt people who are operating outside of law; cannot tract down a couple of religious throwbacks that are intent on destroying America? Now, if I were some sort of partisan idiot; I would say something very stupid like, “Obama does not want these guys caught, because he is some sort of a undercover Muslim.” But I am not, so, no, I am not going to say this; because quite frankly, that sort of statement for one, is hateful and racist as hell, and two, is out of touch with reality.
What I will say this; this is a perfect example of that the fact that big Government just does not work. The Presidents, past and present, continue to throw money at our Military and intelligence services; but yet they cannot catch these idiots? Does anyone else, besides me, find this to be incredibility ironic? I mean, if someone like me, got behind on my taxes, the United States Government would have no trouble whatsoever tracking me down and find me. But these religious throwbacks cannot be found. But I believe this points to a systematic failure of our Government on the highest of levels; which reaffirms my personal belief that big Government is a bad idea and that it simply does not work.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputy was caught on video erupting with personal comments while escorting a religious group away from a recent concert.
BCSO Deputy Jim Goff is a veteran of the department and years away from retirement.
The religious group was protesting outside a Rob Zombie concert on July 17th at the Pavilion. Deputies were called to escort them out. Goff was among them.
The religious group recorded the entire ordeal and put it on YouTube. It started with Goff asking the protestors to leave the property but the group was not taking the orders well.
“This is private property, leave you can go or you can go to jail,” Goff said.
“It’s against my constitutional right, these people are free right here are fee to be out here? Why cant we,” said one protestor.
That’s when Goff got the crowd involved and asked what they wanted the group to do.
“You guys, do you want them to stay or go,” Goff said.
The protestors eventually started to leave as they continued preaching to the crowd and the deputies. Goff responded.
“There is only one way to heaven and that’s through Jesus Christ the Lord,” said a protestor.
“I am a non-believer, there is no God, there is no Jesus, there is no Satan,” Goff said.
Through all the shouting, arguing and antagonizing the other deputies kept their cool. Goff, however, had one more questionable comment.
“You must have a crush on me, man are you like a gay homosexual, you keep filming me,” Goff said.
The attacks against Christians and on the first amendment in the United States of America continue under the Obama Administration. Further proof that we are truly in the last days. Remember that folks. Remember that also come 2010 and 2012 and vote accordingly.

Sheriff Manny Gonzales called the deputy’s comments very inappropriate.
“I watched the video and it’s an edited version. We’re going to make a request from our internal affairs unit to get a full, a full copy so we can make the right responses,” Gonzales said.
The video is on at least three different websites including YouTube, where more than 7,000 viewers have already seen it.
Gonzales said he will not comment on if Goff will be reprimanded until they conduct a complete investigation.
The sheriff also said he did not know about the concert confrontation until News 13 called and asked about it.
In other words, he will be back to work today and nothing will happen. 😡

Well, we now know, that, for some at least, I wasn’t crazy. I was just not disciplined enough to curtail what this blog airs in order to conform with what many Journo-listers believed were the interests of the Obama campaign. Any delusions that Journo-List was not, in part, a collusory venture to shape the media narrative in ways to benefit Obama, above and beyond ferreting out the truth about any and all candidates, must now be abandoned. Ezra Klein has already been caught in a bald-faced lie about his discretion in picking members; and the notion that this was simply a water-cooler collection of journalistic thoughts is also belied by the emails now published by the Daily Caller.
One should say this, however: I have no way of knowing what the DC has omitted, and how it has shaped this information. The thread stops rather abruptly. BP chief executive Tony Hayward will get an immediate annual pension worth about £600,000 ($930,000) when he leaves in October, the BBC has learned.
Mr Hayward is to stand down after sustained criticism of his handling of the Gulf of Mexico oil leak.
However, a BP source said he would be nominated for a non-executive position at the firm’s Russian joint venture.
BBC business editor Robert Peston said that the pension entitlement was “bound to be hugely controversial”.
BP pension scheme rules say that those who joined before April 2006 can take the pension at any point from age 50. Mr Hayward is 53.
He will also receive a year’s salary plus benefits worth more than £1m.
Mr Hayward’s pension pot is valued at about £11m and he will keep his rights to shares under a long-term performance scheme which could – depending on BP’s stock market recovery – eventually be worth several million pounds.
Our business editor said that because Mr Hayward was leaving by mutual agreement rather than being sacked, the BP board felt it had “to honour the terms of its contract with him”.

Remember all those liberals and lefties huffily denouncing this blog’s attempts to make sense of Sarah Palin’s bizarre stories about the pregnancy and birth of her alleged fifth child? I was nuts, crazy, vile, disgusting, etc etc to indulge in what Dave Weigel, with no working knowledge of the story, calls “nonsense.” You may also recall that the liberal media didn’t touch this with a barge-pole – and still hasn’t (apart from a NYT puff-piece that I found utterly credulous at the time). Newsweek has even put its entire reputation behind the details of the story as outlined in Going Rogue, without doing any independent reporting on the subject.
this story, look no further. It has nothing to do with the facts, and everything to do with their politics. Notice the core modus operandi of the political operative, not the journalist. When dealing with a story: first ask yourself not if it is true but whether the outcome benefits your side. Second, write things in defense of this that you cannot possibly know. Palin a “wonderful mother”? How on earth did Klein know that?
