Memo to Sarah Palin: Please, Shut up

It appears that the Conservative movement’s feckless bimbo is back, doing her normal carnival barker routine:

Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade. If those who wish to build this Ground Zero mosque are sincerely interested in encouraging positive “cross-cultural engagement” and dialogue to show a moderate and tolerant face of Islam, then why haven’t they recognized that the decision to build a mosque at this particular location is doing just the opposite? Mr. President, why aren’t you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson’s generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero? Why haven’t they jumped at this offer? Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in agreement with me, as “hallowed ground”? I believe these are legitimate questions to ask.

– Sarah Palin

Blogger Ruproast has a few question for Sarah:

? Do you have a Plan for America, or are you content to snipe from the shadows with no responsibility for your actions?
? Since you believe tolerance, reconciliation and healing are Bad for America, are you embracing divisive, polarizing fear-mongering as an acceptable substitute?
? Do you intend to run for President in 2012, or simply continue to milk your supporters’ hopes that you’ll run in order to leverage lucrative Celebrity Speaking Gigs, Book Deals, TV Contracts and donations to your PAC?
? Should you decide to run for President, will Todd cancel his snow-machine team’s financial sponsorship by Venezuela’s Citgo petroleum group?
? Do you believe that running America would be a) more or b) less challenging than running your mouth?

I have a few questions myself:

  • Do you ever plan on actually disclosing who is the actual Mother of Trig and what hospital he was born in?
  • Do you ever plan on explaining to the American people and to the Republican Party, why you knowingly lied to the Republican Party about your daughters pregnancy?
  • Do you plan on actually disclosing where all that money went, from all of those PAC’s formed in your name? Like SarahPac?
  • Do you ever plan on coming clean on the sexual escapades that you have taken part in, since Marrying Todd and the current affair that you are having now, seeing that you and Todd on are the verge of divorce?
  • Do you ever plan on coming clean on the REAL reason why you supported the “Bridge to Nowhere”, before you were against it?

Until you do these things, Mrs. Palin, the only thing you can do, to further your own personal cause and the cause of the Republican Party, is the following:

SHUT THE HELL UP!

Update: Well, well, well… It appears that I have invoked the ire of some of the Sarah Palin fan boys from within the Conservative Blogosphere. Well, fire away boys. I never liked Sarah Palin ever. Sarah Palin lost me the minute she went to the Republican convention and talked this mean game and then it came out that her daughter was knocked up. Sorry, I do not like liars and that is what she is. A big, fat, God Damned Liar. Further more, I dislike this woman, because she runs on a Spirit, a Spirit mind you; it is never spoken —–That somehow this woman is entitled to be President, because she is a woman. That is the same damned bunch of bullshit, that Hillary ran on, and I was opposed to it and I am opposed to it now with Sarah Palin. My opposition to gender entitlement within politics is NOT based upon partisan affiliation. I am quite the non-partisan blogger and I call it like I see it. If that bothers you, then this is not your blog to read.

The ONLY thing that I will EVER believe that Sarah Palin is even remotely entitled to be is a Mother to her Children and a Wife to her Husband. Everything else, she has to EARN, just like everyone else. Having said that; as far as I am concerned, she has not earned a damn thing in my book. She was a failure as a Governor of Alaska, and now, she is demonstrating that she is nothing more than a carnival barker for the uneducated, and quite simple-minded far right.

Now, go put that in your god damned pipes and smoke it! 😡

Media Attacks President Obama for actually making sense

I never thought that I would ever have to defend a President for actually making sense. But then again, I never thought I would be blogging about politics either! Much less, writing on a blog defending Conservative and sometimes even Conservative Christian values. My friends, strange days are upon us.

Anyhow, yesterday, the President made a speech, basically speaking to the Muslim people and to the bigoted Americans who believe that Muslim should be outlawed from building their houses of worship or basically even chased out of the Country. In this speech he said the following:

But let me be clear: as a citizen, and as President, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country, and will not be treated differently by their government, is essential to who we are. The writ of our Founders must endure.

Which is a excellent statement regarding the Constitutional right of Muslims to building houses of Worship wherever they choose, as long as it is within the accordance of the law. It did not speak, however, to the wisdom or moral or any other sort of reasoning behind building a Mosque at or near ground zero. You would think that most people would know this. However, we do live in a “Dumbed Down” society. So, once again, The President is forced to clarify his remarks:

CNN reports:

Panama City, Florida (CNN) — President Barack Obama told CNN Saturday that in defending the right of Muslims to build a community center and mosque near ground zero in a speech on Friday night, he was “not commenting on the wisdom” of the project.

Instead, Obama said he was trying to uphold the broader principle that the government should treat “everyone equal, regardless” of religion.

His comments were seen as step back from the support he appeared to give the controversial project during a White House dinner on Friday, though a spokesman for the administration quickly moved to clarify the president’s remarks.

“Just to be clear, the President is not backing off in any way from the comments he made last night,” White House spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement Saturday afternoon.

“It is not his role as President to pass judgment on every local project. But it is his responsibility to stand up for the Constitutional principle of religious freedom and equal treatment for all Americans,” Burton added.

Which is, of course, stupid; because the President is simply saying that they have the right to build the Mosque and Center by Constitutional Law. He was not addressing the moral or other implications. You would think that educated people within the media, especially CNN would know this. I can understand Fox News making a huge deal out of this; but CNN and even MSNBC? Come on.

The stupidity that I refer to, is the stupidity like this here, written by Ben Smith:

Obama’s latest comments are logically consistent with his words last night, if a bit less “clarion,” as Mike Bloomberg called the first remarks. And there are certainly two possible stances here: Bloomberg’s, that the Cordoba project itself represents the best of America; and Obama’s, that the freedom of religion is an important American value.

Obama’s new remarks, literally speaking, re-open the question of which side he’s on. Most of the mosque’s foes recognize the legal right to build, and have asked the builders to reconsider.

But the clarification is, in political terms, puzzling. The signal Obama sent with his rhetoric last night wasn’t that he had chosen to make a trivial, legal point about the First Amendment. He chose to make headlines in support of the mosque project, and he won’t be able to walk them back now with this sprinkling of doubt. All he’ll do is frustrate some of the people who so eagerly welcomed his words yesterday as a return to form.

Clarion? Seriously? Puzzling? Really? Maybe to some uneducated idiot that does not have any grasp of the English language perhaps. Look, I am a “Right of Center” Blogger, someone who is totally opposed to the socialism of the far-left —– and I understood his remarks perfectly. Perhaps this is a the new narrative of the liberal media, against the President, that he is some sort of a boob. I believe this is because Obama did not pander to the far-left and to get their revenge, the liberal media is now going to be after the President, in this sort of a manner. It is a cheap way to get ratings, but it does work. I suppose. Partisan hack types love this sort of a thing. But we non-partisan types find this type of reporting to be sickening. Because, mainly, it is totally dishonest and it exploits people’s ignorance.

President Obama: The writ of our Founders must endure

This is an editorial Blog posting that I detest having to write; I detest having to say that someone that I am opposed to ideologically — is right.  As you know, President Barack Obama has literally been at war with the far right politically since he took office.  The President, so far, really has not been fighting back, as far as this writer is concerned — against the attacks of the far right.

That changed tonight.

As some of you know, I and many other bloggers have been sounding the alarm against this so-called “Ground Zero” Mosque and Cultural center that is going to be built two blocks away from ground zero in Manhattan.  Please, believe me when I tell you, that I happen to think that this is one of the most tone-deaf things; if not, the MOST tone-deaf thing, that anyone, of any Religious stripe, could possibly want to do.

However, we as Americans must look at the most paramount issue, that we as freedom loving Americans enjoy as citizens of this great Country of ours; the first amendment.  As I was saying, Barack Obama has been at war with the far right, and as I said, he has not been firing back at the far right.  Well, tonight he did a little more than just fire back.

He lobbed a damn hand grenade into the far right’s green zone.

President Obama gave, in this writer’s opinion, one of the best Constitutional smack downs that I have ever read in my life.  I will not quote the entire speech as most of it I totally disagree with.  However, President Obama did say one thing, which even I, as someone who disagrees with much of what the President says and does — cannot even remotely begin to argue.  He said the following:

But let me be clear: as a citizen, and as President, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country.  That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances.  This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable.  The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country, and will not be treated differently by their government, is essential to who we are.  The writ of our Founders must endure.

Ouch.

The man might not be able to throw a baseball worth a damn.  But his constitutional grenade tossing is very good.

In short, President Obama said, what I blogged recently, in response to some Religious Right nut job who wants to see all Mosque building stopped and that is that the Government cannot regulate religion at all.  Although the President said it much better than I did.  But, I digress.

As much as I know, that it makes many of my friends on the right flank of me angry; the President has a very good point and yes, he is, for once, absolutely correct.  September 11, 2001 was, and still is, to me, a horrific tragedy; but if the United States Government enacts policies that restrict religion, which is on par with Nazi fascism or communism.  We run the risk of becoming the Christian equivalent of a Muslim theocracy; and that my friend is bad, no matter how you slice it.

We cannot allow this nation to be bigoted toward any religion based upon cultural or Zionistic impulses.  Because once we open that Pandora’s Box, we open the door for horrors that I really do not want to think about.

In case you have not noticed

I really just ain’t interested today. The news and politics is becoming a bit of a bore. So, there you are the stuff that I am interested in even writing about….

Hopefully next week things will be a bit more exciting.

Transperancy? What Transperancy?

Not like this was a shock or anything. Via the Washington Examiner:

President Obama has abolished the position in his White House dedicated to transparency and shunted those duties into the portfolio of a partisan ex-lobbyist who is openly antagonistic to the notion of disclosure by government and politicians. Obama transferred “ethics czar” Norm Eisen to the Czech Republic to serve as U.S. ambassador. Some of Eisen’s duties will be handed to Domestic Policy Council member Steven Croley, but most of them, it appears, will shift over to the already-full docket of White House Counsel Bob Bauer. Bauer is renowned as a “lawyer’s lawyer” and a legal expert. His resume, however, reads more “partisan advocate” than “good-government crusader.” Bauer came to the White House from the law firm Perkins Coie, where he represented John Kerry in 2004 and Obama during his campaign.

So much for all that “Hope and Change” and “New Syle of Government” that we heard about so much in the Campaign.

2012 GOP contender poll

Already? Go Read

Less than three months before the unofficial start of the next race for the White House, a new national poll suggests there is no frontrunner for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. But a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday also indicates that the eventual GOP nominee would have the edge over President Barack Obama if the election were held today. According to the poll, when asked to choose among a list of nine potential GOP White House hopefuls, 21 percent of Republicans support former Massachusetts Gov. and 2008 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for their party’s 2012 nomination, with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at 18 percent. Romney’s three point advantage over the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee is within the survey’s sampling error.

If Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin ran together and won the General election; I would leave the country. Mittens is nothing more than a Democrat-lite. (Remember Romney-Care?) and Sarah Palin; Well, we already know about that!

FRIDAY CHURCH NEWS NOTES

ANN COULTER TO SPEAK AT “GAY” CONVENTION (Friday Church News Notes, August 13, 2010, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) – Ann Coulter, a political commentator who is often held forth as one of the bright stars of the conservative movement in America, will be the featured speaker at Homocon 2010 in New York City. The meeting is staged by GOProud, the only national organization of “gay conservatives.” (GOP usually stands for the Republican Party, though we do not know if it has that meaning in this context.) This highlights the extreme weakness of the “conservative” movement for the Bible believer. What good does it do to fight for constitutional conservatism when the root problem of America’s ills is moral and spiritual? It’s like putting a bandaid on a cancer. The U.S. Constitution could not have been created in this wicked, apostate generation, and it will not be preserved in this generation. The only hope is for true spiritual revival in the churches, and that would require separation from the things that God hates. Many Independent Baptists and fundamentalists are yoked together with unbelievers and immoral people for the sake of “saving America.” That is disobedience to the Bible, which says, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness” (2 Corinthians 6:14). We are never going to get God’s power and blessing by disobeying Him. Furthermore, Bible believers are already being persecuted and harassed by homosexuals across the land, and this persecution is increasing each year. Will these “gay conservatives” speak out against the so-called hate crimes laws and the persecution of Christians who believe that homosexuality is a sin?

MEGACHURCH PASTOR SLAMS “NORMAL” CHURCHES (Friday Church News Notes, August 13, 2010, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) – In a recent sermon, Perry Noble, pastor of the four-campus NewSpring Church in South Carolina, slammed traditional churches mercilessly. Responding to criticisms that his church is too loud and resembles a concert, Noble said, “I don’t want to be normal when it comes to church in America because normal is dehydrated, normal is dead, normal is predictable, normal is boring, normal is lifeless, and when the tomb is empty and Jesus is alive and I’ve crossed over from death to life, praise God, I don’t want to be normal!” (“S.C. Pastor,” Christian Post, Aug. 4, 2010). By Noble’s strange thinking, before rock & roll was brought into the house of God a few years ago every church was dehydrated, dead, predictable, boring, and lifeless. Until a bare 40 years ago, there were NO churches like NewSpring, and there had not been any for 2,000 years. No Sunday morning rock & roll parties. None. Nowhere. All of the churches then were “normal” and “traditional” in that respect. Noble is confusing a worldly rock & roll party with godly spiritual excitement, but they are not the same. Rock & roll is definitely spiritual, but it is the spirit of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Any man that confuses rock & roll with godly spiritual excitement is far too blind to lead God’s people.

UPDATED: Video: Democrat Voters give up on hope and change

Folks, this one hits close to home. I have family that lives over near Albion, Michigan.

Video: (H/T HotAir.com)

The Story via the WSJ:

ALBION, Mich.—Michelle Rena Jones cheered when candidates Barack Obama and Joe Biden visited south-central Michigan in 2008. She supported Mr. Obama that November along with a slate of Democrats, including Mark Schauer in the 7th congressional district.

Job creation is one of the top issues among voters. In districts with high unemployment, that could spell trouble for a host of Democrats in tight congressional races. WSJ’s Neil Hickey reports.

Now, the 40-year-old is rethinking her lifelong support for the party. She has been without steady work for two years, lost her home and car and began receiving cash assistance from the state for the first time. This year, she says, “I’m willing to take a chance on something different.” Another possibility, she says, is that she won’t vote at all.

Ms. Jones is part of an unmeasured, agitated mass: unemployed Americans who don’t believe the Obama Administration and Congress have done enough to produce jobs. With elections coming up, their unease is especially troublesome for the Democrats, who control both chambers.

Welcome to my world! I have been in the same spot, since 2005. Thankfully, and very fortunately; I do not have any children to worry about. I could not imagine having kids in a economy like this.  Some would say, “Well, you live in a bigger area, you should be able to find a job!” Two words: Yeah Right. 🙄 Bigger Area, means more people out of work and more people looking for a job.

It’s tough everywhere folks, don’t let nobody fool you.

Update: TalkLeft, A very liberal Blog says this:

Robert Gibbs and Jane Hamsher can argue all they want about ‘what’s progressive enough,’ but voters care about jobs. And the Obama Administration and Dems have simply failed on this issue. It is why they will lose the November election.

That’s very true. The Democrats and the Obama White House were hell bent on getting a healthcare bill passed, that one half of America did not understand and the other half understood and did not want; but they passed it anyhow. Meanwhile, people like me and Michelle Rena Jones are sitting here — unemployed. 🙄 A lot of damned good that Healthcare bill does one, if you do not have a job. I give great Kudos to “Bing Tent Democrat” for having the “Stones” to say as much.

Something tells me, that the short-lived era of “Home and Change” is officially over, the love affair and novelty of a new black President is over; and now the America people are sitting around going, “Dang, nothing has changed.” Those people will vote accordingly come November 2, 2010.

The Feckless Far-Right: Exhibit F for Foot-in-Mouth

I am not going to be like the left and call Dr. Laura a racist. I do not know that to be a fact. However, I will say that she has a good knack for putting her foot in her mouth. It appears that Dr. Laura was trying to make a point; and in the process of making that point, used some language that is not acceptable in this “Politically Correct” World we live in today.

Via the Left’s Resident Carnival Barker:

Transcript:

SCHLESSINGER: Jade, welcome to the program.

CALLER: Hi, Dr. Laura.

SCHLESSINGER: Hi.

CALLER: I’m having an issue with my husband where I’m starting to grow very resentful of him. I’m black, and he’s white. We’ve been around some of his friends and family members who start making racist comments as if I’m not there or if I’m not black. And my husband ignores those comments, and it hurts my feelings. And he acts like —

SCHLESSINGER: Well, can you give me an example of a racist comment? ‘Cause sometimes people are hypersensitive. So tell me what’s — give me two good examples of racist comments.

CALLER: OK. Last night — good example — we had a neighbor come over, and this neighbor — when every time he comes over, it’s always a black comment. It’s, "Oh, well, how do you black people like doing this?" And, "Do black people really like doing that?" And for a long time, I would ignore it. But last night, I got to the point where it —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t think that’s racist.

CALLER: Well, the stereotype —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t think that’s racist. No, I think that —

CALLER: [unintelligible]

SCHLESSINGER: No, no, no. I think that’s — well, listen, without giving much thought, a lot of blacks voted for Obama simply ’cause he was half-black. Didn’t matter what he was gonna do in office, it was a black thing. You gotta know that. That’s not a surprise. Not everything that somebody says — we had friends over the other day; we got about 35 people here — the guys who were gonna start playing basketball. I was going to go out and play basketball. My bodyguard and my dear friend is a black man. And I said, "White men can’t jump; I want you on my team." That was racist? That was funny.

CALLER: How about the N-word? So, the N-word’s been thrown around —

SCHLESSINGER: Black guys use it all the time. Turn on HBO, listen to a black comic, and all you hear is nigger, nigger, nigger.

CALLER: That isn’t —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t get it. If anybody without enough melanin says it, it’s a horrible thing; but when black people say it, it’s affectionate. It’s very confusing. Don’t hang up, I want to talk to you some more. Don’t go away.

I’m Dr. Laura Schlessinger. I’ll be right back.

and after the break, it got worse…:

SCHLESSINGER: I’m Dr. Laura Schlessinger, talking to Jade. What did you think about during the break, by the way?

CALLER: I was a little caught back by the N-word that you spewed out, I have to be honest with you. But my point is, race relations —

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, then I guess you don’t watch HBO or listen to any black comedians.

CALLER: But that doesn’t make it right. I mean, race is a [unintelligible] —

SCHLESSINGER: My dear, my dear —

CALLER: — since Obama’s been in office —

SCHLESSINGER: — the point I’m trying to make —

CALLER: — racism has come to another level that’s unacceptable.

SCHLESSINGER: Yeah. We’ve got a black man as president, and we have more complaining about racism than ever. I mean, I think that’s hilarious.

CALLER: But I think, honestly, because there’s more white people afraid of a black man taking over the nation.

SCHLESSINGER: They’re afraid.

CALLER: If you want to be honest about it [unintelligible]

SCHLESSINGER: Dear, they voted him in. Only 12 percent of the population’s black. Whites voted him in.

CALLER: It was the younger generation that did it. It wasn’t the older white people who did it.

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, OK.

CALLER: It was the younger generation —

SCHLESSINGER: All right. All right.

CALLER: — that did it.

SCHLESSINGER: Chip on your shoulder. I can’t do much about that.

CALLER: It’s not like that.

SCHLESSINGER: Yeah. I think you have too much sensitivity —

CALLER: So it’s OK to say "nigger"?

SCHLESSINGER: — and not enough sense of humor.

CALLER: It’s OK to say that word?

SCHLESSINGER: It depends how it’s said.

CALLER: Is it OK to say that word? Is it ever OK to say that word?

SCHLESSINGER: It’s — it depends how it’s said. Black guys talking to each other seem to think it’s OK.

CALLER: But you’re not black. They’re not black. My husband is white.

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, I see. So, a word is restricted to race. Got it. Can’t do much about that.

CALLER: I can’t believe someone like you is on the radio spewing out the "nigger" word, and I hope everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: I didn’t spew out the "nigger" word.

CALLER: You said, "Nigger, nigger, nigger."

SCHLESSINGER: Right, I said that’s what you hear.

CALLER: Everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: Yes, they did.

CALLER: I hope everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: They did, and I’ll say it again —

CALLER: So what makes it OK for you to say the word?

SCHLESSINGER: — nigger, nigger, nigger is what you hear on HB —

CALLER: So what makes it —

SCHLESSINGER: Why don’t you let me finish a sentence?

CALLER: OK.

SCHLESSINGER: Don’t take things out of context. Don’t double N — NAACP me. Tape the —

CALLER: I know what the NAACP —

SCHLESSINGER: Leave them in context.

CALLER: I know what the N-word means and I know it came from a white person. And I know the white person made it bad.

SCHLESSINGER: All right. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Can’t have this argument. You know what? If you’re that hypersensitive about color and don’t have a sense of humor, don’t marry out of your race. If you’re going to marry out of your race, people are going to say, "OK, what do blacks think? What do whites think? What do Jews think? What do Catholics think?" Of course there isn’t a one-think per se. But in general there’s "think."

And what I just heard from Jade is a lot of what I hear from black-think — and it’s really distressing [sic] and disturbing. And to put it in its context, she said the N-word, and I said, on HBO, listening to black comics, you hear "nigger, nigger, nigger." I didn’t call anybody a nigger. Nice try, Jade. Actually, sucky try.

Need a sense of humor, sense of humor — and answer the question. When somebody says, "What do blacks think?" say, "This is what I think. This is what I read that if you take a poll the majority of blacks think this." Answer the question and discuss the issue. It’s like we can’t discuss anything without saying there’s -isms?

We have to be able to discuss these things. We’re people — goodness gracious me. Ah — hypersensitivity, OK, which is being bred by black activists. I really thought that once we had a black president, the attempt to demonize whites hating blacks would stop, but it seems to have grown, and I don’t get it. Yes, I do. It’s all about power. I do get it. It’s all about power and that’s sad because what should be in power is not power or righteousness to do good — that should be the greatest power.

For the record, she has apologized:

I talk every day about doing the right thing.  And yesterday, I did the wrong thing.

I didn’t intend to hurt people, but I did.  And that makes it the wrong thing to have done.

I was attempting to make a philosophical point, and I articulated the “n” word all the way out – more than one time.  And that was wrong.  I’ll say it again – that was wrong.

She goes on to say:

I ended up, I’m sure, with many of you losing the point I was trying to make, because you were shocked by the fact that I said the word.  I, myself, realized I had made a horrible mistake, and was so upset I could not finish the show.  I pulled myself off the air at the end of the hour.  I had to finish the hour, because 20 minutes of dead air doesn’t work.  I am very sorry.  And it just won’t happen again.

[….]

One last note –
The caller in question (her name is Jade), called for help from me, and didn’t get it, because we got embroiled in the “n” word, and I’m really sorry about that, because I’m here for only one reason and that’s to be helpful, so I hope Jade or somebody who knows her is listening, and hope she will call me back and I will try my best to be helpful, which is what she wanted from me in the first place and what she did not get.

I am willing to take that at face value. I do not know this woman personally; I will not call her something that I do not know her to be personally. She blew it, she admitted that. However, the racist baiting twits on the left will never be happy, until Dr. Laura and those who believe like her are off of the air for good.

The Classless Left: Exhibit I for Insensitivity

Here is the official position of 9/11 by the liberal left in 2010: (H/T to Sister Toldjah via Infidels are Cool)

Given that they [Muslims] are such a small minority in this nation, it is odd that so many of our fellow citizens see them as such a threat. Yes, the 9/11 attacks were horrific, but they were more about optics than actual harm. The economy was already taking a hit before the Twin Towers fell. The reaction of the nation to seeing two major buildings in New York fall on T.V. has boosted the attack out of proportion. While the loss of even a single life is to be condemned and the devastation these deaths caused the families of those killed, more than this number of teens are killed every year in car crashes. These are also tragic losses but we do not make the kind of high profile issue of it that the 9/11 attacks are. – Source: DailyKOS

As a rule, I usually do not link to stories presented by WND. But this here; is a load of crap! 😡  — (H/T to WorldNetDaily)

There is widespread shock following the news that Duke Amachree has lost his case, having been sacked for mentioning God in the workplace. An employment tribunal has ruled that it was reasonable for Wandsworth Council to dismiss Duke, after he was sacked for gross misconduct for suggesting to a client with an incurable illness not to give up hope and to try putting her faith in God. The tribunal also found that the Council had not discriminated against Mr Amachree on the basis of his religion. In addition, the tribunal took the view that Duke had breached confidentiality by publicizing his case. The decision has come as a huge surprise to Duke and to his legal team.

Duke, a father of two and committed Christian, had worked for Wandsworth Council for 18 years and had an unblemished record. Yet, as a result of the comments he made in one 45 minute housing interview, he was subject to 6 months of investigations and three interviews with the Council. His solicitor was even told by the Council that saying “God bless” to a client would require an investigation if the client complained.

Gross misconduct usually covers such behaviour as violence in the workplace, theft or other such serious conduct. Yet the client herself expressly stated that she did not want Duke to be dismissed for what he had said and Duke had never been told that such small talk in a housing interview was prohibited. The Council have always accepted that Duke’s motivation in speaking to the client was purely one of compassion

It goes on to say that they are appealing the case. But, that is what this Nation is coming to. God is being taken out of the public square.

Welcome to Obama’s America.

Remember this come November 2, 2010 and in 2012.

End of Week Tip Jar Rattle

Figured I would get this done early, so I would not forget to do it.

I know times are very tough. But I could use the help. It is not about money with me. But I am among the many unemployed in this Country. Michigan has been hit especially hard around here; I realize that, and if you cannot help, I totally understand that. Just pray that the Lord will provide me some sort of an income.

However, if you happen to really enjoy what I write about here and you would like to help out. Click the Tip Jar below and give what you can… It goes for a good cause. Supports me, pays the hosting bill. (Yes, contrary to what you might have heard, I do pay a hosting bill here, it’s not much, but it is a bill.) It might actually buy me a car, if I ever got enough. Yes, I do need a car. I could use many things. But I shall not dwell on it.

Thanks for any kind of help that you can give!

Awesome Video: Montage of Military Reunions

(H/T to The Jawa Report)

I, as a libertarian-type of “Right of Center,” believe that any politician, who even has the remote thought of starting a war; ought to be strapped to a chair and FORCED to watch this video. (I’m talking to YOU Bill Kristol and John and Norman Podhartz!…..and any other damn Wilsonian Conservative out there!)
