Egad, talk about mega stupid!

First the Video:

The Story via The NYT’s “City Room” Blog:

Updated, 5:52 p.m. | An Air Force One lookalike, the backup plane for the one regularly used by the president, flew low over parts of New York and New Jersey on Monday morning, accompanied by two F-16 fighters, so Air Force photographers could take pictures high above the New York harbor.

But the exercise — conducted without any notification to the public — caused momentary panic in some quarters and led to the evacuation of several buildings in Lower Manhattan and Jersey City. By the afternoon, the situation had turned into a political fuse box, with Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg saying that he was “furious” that he had not been told in advance about the flyover.

At 4:39 p.m. Monday, the White House issued an apology for the flyover. Louis E. Caldera, director of the White House Military Office, who served in the Clinton administration as secretary of the Army, said in a statement:

Last week, I approved a mission over New York. I take responsibility for that decision. While federal authorities took the proper steps to notify state and local authorities in New York and New Jersey, it’s clear that the mission created confusion and disruption. I apologize and take responsibility for any distress that flight caused.

The mission on Monday, officials said, was set up to create an iconic shot of Air Force One, similar to one that was taken in recent years over the Grand Canyon.

When President Obama learned of the episode on Monday afternoon, aides said, he, too, was furious. Senior administration officials conveyed the president’s anger in a meeting with Mr. Caldera on Monday afternoon.

A senior administration official said that an F.A.A. official notified Mayor Bloomberg’s office last week about the flyover. She said that Marc Mugnos, the director of operations in the office of citywide event coordination and management, was the official notified about the Air Force operation.

I bet the President is ticked. This happened once before in 2003; so, I’ll cut the current President some slack. But man. talk about dumb. 🙄

Swine Flu Gate Continued

Looks like this little epidemic is getting worse; and of course getting more politicized by the minute.

Looks like the Liberals are now pointing fingers at the G.O.P:

When House Appropriations Committee chairman David Obey, the Wisconsin Democrat who has long championed investment in pandemic preparation, included roughly $900 million for that purpose in this year’s emergency stimulus bill, he was ridiculed by conservative operatives and congressional Republicans.

Obey and other advocates for the spending argued, correctly, that a pandemic hitting in the midst of an economic downturn could turn a recession into something far worse — with workers ordered to remain in their homes, workplaces shuttered to avoid the spread of disease, transportation systems grinding to a halt and demand for emergency services and public health interventions skyrocketing. Indeed, they suggested, pandemic preparation was essential to any responsible plan for renewing the U.S. economy.

But former White House political czar Karl Rove and key congressional Republicans — led by Maine Senator Susan Collins — aggressively attacked the notion that there was a connection between pandemic preparation and economic recovery.

Now, as the World Health Organization says a deadly swine flu outbreak that apparently began in Mexico but has spread to the United States has the potential to develop into a pandemic, Obey’s attempt to secure the money seems eerily prescient.

And his partisan attacks on his efforts seem not just creepy, but dangerous.

There’s only one problem with that; and that’s this:

“President Barack Obama has not yet chosen a surgeon general or the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. His choice to run the Food and Drug Administration awaits confirmation,” Politico reported.

In all, 19 positions and the secretary are empty desks.

Maybe if Obama did something more than preen and pat himself on the back for his first 100 days in office, we would actually have a government that did more than just blame Republicans for all the troubles of the world.

There’s also this here as well:

Sorry to interrupt all the liberal blogosphere’s unhinged GOP-bashing over conservative opposition to flu pandemic funding in the porkulus bill, but…

Well. Just an inconvenient reminder:

“All those little porky things that the House put in, the money for the [National] Mall or the sexually transmitted diseases or the flu pandemic, they’re all out,” Schumer said.

“Porky things.” Er, a rather unfortunate choice of words then. And now.

Leaves a bad taste in your mouth, doesn’t it?

Nothing like a little dose of reality to totally bring the liberal retards back to reality.

However there are some, who have some semblance of a brain; if that’s even possible with the Liberals:

(1) It’s a good point to make that Collins somehow thought pandemic preparation money was not an economic issue deserving of inclusion in the stimulus package. But Collins was for the money being included in some other form. Now, I think her reasoning is stupid — pandemic prevention is part of a recovery plan. But it’s not like she was against the very idea of it.

In fact she has voted for a number of bills that included pandemic prevention in the past, including the war funding bill of 2007. This undermines her point about which basket the funding is in, but also proves that she’s not against the idea of it.

(2) Relatedly, this money is actually the tail end of money ($7.1 billion worth) that President George W. Bush pushed for in 2005. So this is actually Bush money! To pin all this on the GOP is, thus, a little silly.

[…]

(4) Importantly, the vast majority of the pandemic prevention money was passed in March’s omnibus bill, which passed the Senate by (uncounted) voice vote.

Statements like “thanks for the swine flu” or “I hope Susan Collins’ kids get swine flu” are crazy responses to her opinions and the reality of the current funding situation. Just asinine. Same as actually calling or writing Senator Collins. Why? Why are you doing this? Schumer went so far as to call the pandemic prevention funding a “little porky thing,” are you calling him? Are you yelling about him? Additionally, the money has been appropriated, so what’s the point?

Be truthful. Be fair. Be as comprehensive as possible.

Wow… 😮 There are some people on the left who have brains. If there were maybe about couple million more like this one. Maybe President Magic Negro would have never been elected. But when you say that, your a Raaaaccccccciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiist!

Swineheart, Pigheart, Heartburn, Who cares??!?!

Yes, Only I would quote a line from a three stooges flick to title a story about a flu epidemic…..

Like AllahPundit, It is times like these; when I am glad that the majority of my time, is spent in front of my laptop.  Now, if I could just convince my dad to stay in the house. Yeah, good luck with that. 🙄  This is a guy that has A.D.H.D worse than me. (Undiagnosed, of course…) The man is always on the go.

Unless you have been hiding under a rock; you most likely know that there is a very serious flu epidemic that is happening to our south, in Mexico. (Yes, that Mexico, with the drug wars.) What is worse, there are some cases of it being reported here in America as well. Which is not good at all.

Meanwhile, in the Conservative/right wing/Republican Blogosphere things are bit; shall we say, Varied. While the Neo-Conservatives are making a valid point that maybe now the US Government will take the illegal immigration problem seriously.  Some others on the right are really milking this for what it is worth. I do not know which is worse, or more stupid; the idiots who are reporting that a man, that the President met with in Mexican died the next day, with flu-like symptoms, while insinuating on their Blogs that “maybe he will get it and die too!”  Then there is the tin-foil hat crowd that is now claiming the United States of America actually made this virus up in it’s medical labs, so that it could distribute bad vaccines to people, in order to kill them off, all the while making a profit.  No wonder the rest of American thinks that Conservatives are a bunch of crazy gun grabbing, Bible thumping, crazies. 🙄

How any person could use a situation like this to hustle Americans with ignorant paranoia and sleep at night, is well beyond me.  Further more, how anyone can make such sick insinuations on a Blog and be able to sleep at night, is beyond me as well. Here is hoping that these people catch this disease and die themselves, God knows; the Conservative community would be so much better off, without them.

Anyhow, Mexico is working on containing the virus and our Government is as well. Something tells that this will be a non-story within days.

Memo to ALL Conservative Bloggers: We must be extremely careful! #teaparty #tcot #hhrs

Just a short explanation, those symbols at the end of the title of this posting are called Hashtags. They are for when I complete this Blog posting, it will go out over twitter, and I want the proper people to see it. That is what those are for.

—-

As a rule, I tend to keep an arms distance away from people like Alex Jones and the conspiracy theory crowd. There are reasons for this; one of them, is found here:

This is via Wired.com’s “Threat Level” Blog….:

An Oklahoma City man who announced on Twitter that he would turn an April 15 tax protest into a bloodbath was hit with a federal charge of making interstate threats last week, in what appears to be first criminal prosecution to stem from posts on the microblogging site.

Daniel Knight Hayden, 52, was arrested by FBI agents who identified him as the Twitter user CitizenQuasar. In a series of tweets beginning April 11, CitizenQuasar threat_tweatsvowed to start a “war” against the government on the steps of the Oklahoma City Capitol building, the site of that city’s version of the national “Tea Party” protests promoted by the conservative-leaning Fox News.

“START THE KILLING NOW! I am willing to be the FIRST DEATH!,” read a tweet at 8:01 PM that day. “After I am killed on the Capitol Steps, like a REAL man, the rest of you will REMEMBER ME!!!,” he added five minutes later. Then: “Send the cops around. I will cut their heads off the heads and throw the[m] on the State Capitol steps.”

Hayden’s MySpace page is a breathtaking gallery of right wing memes about the “New World Order,” gun control as Nazi fascism, and Barack Obama’s covert use of television hypnosis, among many others.

In addition to the threats, many of Hayden’s tweets fixated on another Oklahoma City man whom he erroneously believed was in charge of the city’s tea party demonstration.

“He seemed to know stuff about me, but I don’t know how or why,” says Earl Shaffer. “He called me a few days before that tea party and let me know somehow he got my name as one of the organizers. I don’t have the energy.”

My only word of caution of my follow Conservative Bloggers; both Neo and Paleo Conservative, is to be extremely careful of whom you make alliances with. I have a sinking feeling that the F.B.I. is, in fact, doing surveillance on Conservative blogs for threatening language. I mean with the leak of the documents from the DHS about the right wing extremists, and now the arrest of this man. I believe it would behoove all Bloggers to check all of your links and users of twitter to evaluate just whom you are following.  Henceforth, I have removed some questionable material from my Blog.  Which consisted of a Internet radio feed, that is run by a group that tends to run along those lines; that being conspiracy theory.

Having said all this; let me remind my readers that there is nothing wrong with political dissent. However, political dissent that either is borderline unlawful or does outright break the law, does fly in the face of what Conservative principles are truly about. We are Conservatives; we are not, however, lawless radicals. The only way to beat the socialists is through intelligent debate, not by the use or means of violence. This is why I admired William F. Buckley Jr.; He was such an intellectual, we could always debate the points of socialism, without resorting to the base behavior of many of the political pundits of today.

Anyhow, take my advice for what it is. Remember freedom is a wonderful thing. Personal freedom is even better. Jail sucks. Keep your nose clean. 😀

The Southern Avenger on “Tea Parties vs. The Warfare State”

How in praising the tea parties one week, then defending President Bush on torture and his “War on Terror” the next, conservatives negate their alleged anti-government message.

The Southern Avanger’s Blog

The Southern Avenger @ Taki’s Magazine

Charles Johnson vs Pamela Geller and Paul Belien, Who wins?

I have been trying to avoid this topic like the bubonic plague; mainly because I was not really interested in being drawn into some sort of idiotic Blog war with people, that I most likely agree with politically.

However, because I am not interested in blogging about torture memos and all the stupidity surrounding that silly meme, that is raging around the Internet; I figure I would offer my two sense on this little subject. Before I try and analyze this and give my thoughts, I want Pam and Chuck to both know that I have zero against either of them; I can sympathize with both of their positions and I know they both love this Country as much as I do and they are both doing the Lord’s Work to try and protect it against people who would want to destroy our way of life here in America. I realize that there a few more people involved with this little dispute, but these two are the main major players; So, I am dealing with them.

However, I must address this squabble, not as a critic, but as fellow American who watched in horror on September 11’th 2001; when two fully loaded planes, with fuel and people, slammed into both of the World Trade Center Towers in New York. As someone who watched in horror, as a fully loaded plane slammed into the Pentagon, in Virgina. and as a fully loaded plane crashed in a field in PA.  As someone who was utterly paralyzed with fear; when a panicked news anchor on CNN announced that there was a plane headed for the White House. As an American, who watched in horror as 2,998 people, in New York, Virgina, and Pennsylvania lives were snuffed out by crazed terrorists, who thought that they were on a mission from their so-called god, Allah.

Pam and Chuck, please, for the sake of America; Stop this mindless, silly, immature fighting, over the fact that Pam is going to a damned Conference that has some idiotic former Neo-Nazis attending it.

Here’s why kids, because you know who is winning, when to pro-American Bloggers begin to quarrel? The people that win, are those who want to distory what Me, Pam and Chuck all believe in. That is American values; The American way of life, Freedom of Religion and FROM a Religion, if one so chooses. That is the terrorists themselves. That is what terrorism is, not only just blowing up stuff and causing fear and panic, but to also cause disunity and strife, and yes, chaos among those who defend freedom.

You want to know who else is winning this fight, when you all; Pam, Chuck, Robert, Paul Belien and Robert Stacy McCain decide to fight and argue? The liberals win. Every damned liberal who opens a site like Mine, Pam’s, Chuck’s, Robert’s or Paul’s and accuses us of being Neo-Nazi fascists, because we dare to stand up to and fight against Islamofascism. They win. They will point to us and say, “See? They can’t even get along with one another, much less people of different cultures!” You all want to provide support to our Nation’s enemies? Just keep fighting foolishly like you are all doing. Liberals and possibly even independents that happen to read our Blogs, will look at them and think, “Man, why would I want to vote for people that act like this?” It’s your choice. Support whom you all wish.

Disagreements happen, it is a fact of life, I cannot deny this. But disagreements that amount to abject stupidity; do nothing to help our cause folks. Remember that.

I just wish, perhaps a bit foolishly; that the Conservative movement could enjoy a little unity, instead of all this idiotic bickering and division that plagues our side these days. It is, and I know I might catch royal hell for saying this; it is, in fact, the polio disease that is killing our side of the political fence. I just wish someone would invent a damned cure for it.

Update: Welcome to all the Conservative Grapevine readers! If you like what you read around here, Hit the tip jar! Don’t forget to bookmark the site and come back often! 😀 Big thanks to John Hawkins for the link! 🙂

Quote of the Day

The New York Times Company also has a major problem with the Boston Globe, which Sulzberger bought back in 1993. That paper is on the verge of bankruptcy and recently told its employees that it will cut their pay and health benefits. Since the Times and the Globe are big on “universal” health care, that caused some giggling in anti-Times precincts.

Over the past few months, newspapers in Chicago, Seattle, Minneapolis and Denver have either folded or filed for bankruptcy. With the exception of The Rocky Mountain News, all the papers were committed left-wing enterprises. The truth is that most Americans are traditional-minded folks; they believe their country is noble, they want respectful discourse. Fanaticism of any kind is not the American way.

The New York Times is most definitely a committed left-wing concern that is openly contemptuous of the conservative, traditional point-of-view. That is the primary reason the paper may soon dissolve. And all the cash in Carlos Slim’s fat wallet is not going to change that.

Rooted people love the things of the heart: God, country, family and faith. The weapons of the mind have been given to us, they believe, to defend the things of the heart.

Knowledge follows love; it does not precede it.

Most Americans have grown to love America long before they read the Constitution, or the Federalist Papers. There are heroes in Arlington who never learned to read. A true nation is an extended family. If fathers or sons do not defend it, it is their conduct that is indefensible.

Obama may be popular today, but he will lose the country and his presidency if he lets the perception take hold that he, the personification of American sovereignty, does not react as a normal patriot.

The Obamaites may not like Sarah Palin’s phraseology. But they need someone in their councils who is rooted in the Real America.

Acting Freddie Mac CFO David Kellermann dead of a apparent Suicide

Some dreadfully sad news to wake up to today. There has been a horrific suicide in the news. The acting CFO of Freddie Mac has hanged himself.

Update: Video from Fox News:

The story via WTOP Radio in Washington D.C.:

Those eyes say it all

Those eyes say it all

VIENNA, Va. — David Kellermann, acting chief financial officer of Freddie Mac, was found dead in his Hunter Mill Estates home Wednesday morning in what police say was an apparent suicide.Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Mary Anne Jennings tells WTOP police responded to the Kellermann home after family members dialed 911 at 4:48 a.m.

Sources tell WTOP Kellermann hanged himself.

“We were called from inside the house to come investigate an apparent suicide,” Jennings says.

“We’re not going to give you details of the condition of the body, except to say it was an apparent suicide.”

A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Police on the scene tell WTOP Kellermann’s body was found on the home’s lower level.

I have sitting here for the past 15 minutes trying to figure out, just what to type about a situation like this.  I realize that there are times when I have written some stuff on here, that could be construed as conspiracy and also as hate towards the Democrats; and true I do dislike the Democratic Party’s wholehearted embrace of European socialism in America. However, this situation is nothing more than a personal tragedy.

Like Michelle Malkin, I believe that anyone that would use this tragedy is an excuse to draw a sickening parallel between this and the Vince Foster tragic suicide, and then sit and babble about a rather stupid conspiracy theory; is a heartless and soulless individual. I know, I have been snarky and joked on here about that subject myself. But when it comes to matter such as this, rushing to a conspiracy theory on something such as this; makes everyone that has any sort of Conservative belief system, look like total buffoons. I commend Michelle Malkin for having the wherewithal to stand up and speak out against that sort of nonsense. It’s too bad that the people assisting Malkin run her other Blog; HotAir, were not so inclined to make the same judgement. Some of the comments there, quite frankly, made me want to vomit.

As always when tragedies like this strike, my Prayers go to the families of this man. My God be with them. 🙁

The Obama “under the bus” moment of the day

Looks like President Bambi Teleprompter is now trying to appease the far left of his own party.

Jack Tapper and Company Reports:

President Obama suggested today that it remained a possibility that the Justice Department might bring charges against officials of the Bush administration who devised harsh interrogation policies that some see as torture.

He also suggested that if there is any sort of investigation into these past policies and practices, he would be more inclined to support an independent commission outside the typical congressional hearing process.

Both statements represented breaks from previous White House statements on the matter.

While the Bush-era memos providing legal justifications for enhanced interrogation methods "reflected us losing our moral bearings," the president said, he also that he did not think it was "appropriate" to prosecute those CIA officers who "carried out some of these operations within the four corners of the legal opinions or guidance that had been provided by the White House."

But in clear change from language he and members of his administration have used in the past, the president said that "with respect to those who formulated those legal decisions, I would say that is going to be more of a decision for the Attorney General within the parameters of various laws and I don’t want to prejudge that. I think that there are a host of very complicated issues involved there."

Just yesterday, asked by a reporter as to why the administration was not seeking to "hold accountable" Bush administration lawyers who may have "twisted the law," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said, "the president is focused on looking forward, that’s why."

Here is some related video by the slime ball Liberal Network MSNBC, this is David Shuster who seems almost overcome with joy that the President is leaving the door open, to what will amount to a political witch hunt: (H/T Breit Bart)

Basically what this says to me is this; President Obama is scared to death of loosing his support among the far left, who want nothing more than to prosecute everyone involved with the so-called torture, the run up to the Iraq War, everything pretty much everything and everyone related to the Bush Administration. This is because the Democrats are still angry, because they lost the 2000 and 2004 elections; which the far liberal left ridiculously claim that the Republicans stole. Which is absolute idiotic nonsense.

Let me clue you liberals in on something; you lost the 2000 and 2004 election, because your candidates quite frankly sucked. I mean, Al Gore for goodness sake, what a douche nozzle! John Kerry, talk about an out of touch Limousine liberal! Yes; I did vote for both of these idiots and yes, they both lost, and Yes, I knew why! This was before my blogging days and my close following of the politics of the left and the right. Yes, I voted for Clinton in his second term. Yes, I do regret that, highly. I remember just wanting Clinton out of office, after his little problem with Lewinsky.

What this will do is this; divide America. It will pit Conservatives against Liberals and visa versa. As we did not have enough that for the last eight years. It is too bad, Obama could have just left well enough alone. But, no, he has to dredge up idiot nonsense for we Americans to have live over again. What nonsense! But, then again, we are talking about Liberals.

No, I do not get paid $75,000 a year!

I am always the last person in the world to find this sort of stuff out. Mark Penn, the person we all know, who make Hillary Clinton look like a buffoon in this last election, says this about Blogging:

Demographically, bloggers are extremely well educated: three out of every four are college graduates. Most are white males reporting above-average incomes. One out of three young people reports blogging, but bloggers who do it for a living successfully are 2% of bloggers overall. It takes about 100,000 unique visitors a month to generate an income of $75,000 a year. Bloggers can get $75 to $200 for a good post, and some even serve as “spokesbloggers” — paid by advertisers to blog about products. As a job with zero commuting, blogging could be one of the most environmentally friendly jobs around — but it can also be quite profitable. For sites at the top, the returns can be substantial. At some point the value of the Huffington Post will no doubt pass the value of the Washington Post.

The barriers to entry couldn’t be lower. Most bloggers for hire pay $80 to get started, do it for about 35 months, and make a few hundred dollars. But a subgroup of these bloggers are the true professionals who work at corporations, serve as highly paid blogging consultants or write for sites with substantial traffic.

Pros who work for companies are typically paid $45,000 to $90,000 a year for their blogging. One percent make over $200,000. And they report long hours — 50 to 60 hours a week.

via America’s Newest Profession – Mark Penn – WSJ.com.

I humbly submit that this is very much news to me.   To be fair, Penn is referring to two very different kinds of blogging.   The first is the corporate blogger, someone who is employed by a existing company to Blog about said sundry subject. Which I happen to think would get god-awfully stale after a while. The other, is the kind of blogger, that I feel is the epitome of lame; the sponsored post blogger.  These are the writers who, as far as I am concerned; should be donning a dress and whoring their bodies out on the street corner. Because in essence, they are being “Pimped Out,” as it were, by their sponsors.  I am all for capitalism, very much so; but I happen to find these people who are doing nothing more than writing glamorized spam blog postings. Which, frankly, I find nauseating.

Do not misunderstand me; I am all for the idea of capitalistic Blogging world. But I believe in earning revenue from writing about legit subject; such as Politics, Celebrity, Technical items and so forth.  I also believe the revenue should come from incidental items, such as Advertising. I believe that the whole idea of a “Sponsored Posting” is the equivalent of  Blogging prostitution. Why am I so against this? Because it cheapens the profession of blogging, it also cheapens the value of the writer.

On the other hand, writing for a political magazine; like The American Conservative, Taki’s Magazine, The Politico, or any of the other great ones; is every bloggers dream job.  Yes, it would be the quite the awesome thing to have say, The Washington Times call me up and ask to blog for them. That would be the ideal position. Although, I will admit, if I had my choice. I’d rather write for possibly the New York Daily News, Harper’s, The New Yorker; something in vogue. Although, I tend to believe that my hardened Conservative views would not be appreciatied at those fine establishments. I would not even remotely consider TownHall or The Weekly Standard. Those are places that I do not wish my name to be associated with. As they are not considered among the general populous is legit sources of information, but rather political propaganda rags.

So, as you most likely have seen the other Bloggers write. We bloggers will be keeping our day jobs. Well, those of us who actually have day jobs. 🙄 Until some serious changes happen in this bastard economy, this is my damned day job! 😡 Hope and Change my ass!

More that Liberal Tolerance at work!

This is just unbelievable. The Story via Fox News:

Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton was crowned Miss USA on Sunday, but the big story to come out of the normally politics-free telecast was Miss California’s comments regarding gay marriage.

When asked by judge Perez Hilton, an openly gay gossip blogger, whether she believed in gay marriage, Miss California, Carrie Prejean, said "We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised."

Keith Lewis, who runs the Miss California competition, tells FOXNews.com that he was "saddened" by Prejean’s statement.

"As co-director of the Miss California USA, I am personally saddened and hurt that Miss California believes marriage rights belong only to a man and a woman," said Lewis in a statement. "I believe all religions should be able to ordain what unions they see fit. I do not believe our government should be able to discriminate against anyone and religious beliefs have no politics in the Miss California family."

Here’s the video of Kristen being asked the question: (H/T Malkin)

Here’s what the self hating, morally depraved, faggot moron Perez Hilton; (Which is not even his real name, his real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira, Jr.) having his little emotional break down about her answer:

Yeah, I bet he needs as cock in his tail alright. The idiot faggot piece of shit. Angry

Some more fun, here’s the idiot over on the ultra liberal MSNBC, which is a slime bucket of self hating liberal swine anymore, basically, not only calling this poor woman a bitch, but also a cunt as well: (H/T Malkin

Honestly folks? I have zero clue why I used to vote for Democrats. They promote, enable, fund, you name it, they give it to these kind of idiots. Which is why, everyday that I blog about the misdeeds and outright idiotic nonsense that these slime ball bastards pull; it just further cements my convictions that I will never, ever, vote for a socialist Liberal Democrat, ever again.  This goes well beyond the scope of Liberalism, this is just outright cutting someone off at the knees, because of their personal convictions. That is fascism, at it’s finest.

I am so glad my eyes were opened about these people. I mean, My God. No wonder MSNBC’s rates are going through the floor! The American people, who are largely “Right of Center”, will see this and think, “Wow! They stole this woman’s crown, because she has morals!” Not only this, whatever happened to the tolerance of the Liberal left, of other people’s opinions? I guess that has been replaced with the Political Correctness of the socialist far left. We may as well be living either in Communist Russia or in Hitler’s Germany.

I used to really despise Jonah Goldberg, because of the book that he wrote, but now, I believe he was absolutely right. We’re a sadder, more dangerous Country for it too. Sad

The Worry in my Father’s Eyes (A Personal GM Posting)

As many of you know, I am the son of a retired General Motors worker.  Ironically, I am also a Conservative.  No, I am not a Republican; or even a formal Libertarian.  I am someone that believes that the less Governmental interference in my life, the better.   However, there is a place, where my politics ends and a genuine concern for my family begins.

I see that General Motors is going to be taking more money from the Government, and is desperately trying to salvage what is left of that company:

Quote:

General Motors Corp. will get up to $5 billion and Chrysler LLC $500 million in short-term aid, according to a 250-page government report obtained Monday by The Detroit News.

The Detroit News reported Friday that GM would get about $5 billion and Chrysler $500 million, citing an Obama administration official, which prompted a denial from the White House.

The short-term aid figures are disclosed in the report from the Treasury Department’s Inspector General on the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program.

The report was obtained from a congressional source late Monday.

Meanwhile General Motors is is doing its damnedest to rid itself of waste:

General Motors Corp. has started notifying about 1,600 white-collar workers — most of whom work in southeast Michigan — that they will lose their jobs this week as the cash-strapped automaker cuts costs that could help the automaker qualify for up to $16.6 billion in additional federal aid.

The announcement was made by GM North American President Troy Clarke in an e-mail sent to employees today, spokesperson Tom Wilkinson said.

“This is part of really restructuring the company to a smaller, leaner company, one that can, as the (Obama) administration requested, be profitable on an ongoing basis,” Wilkinson said.

While this might be a good thing, there are those out there that believe that this is too little too late:

It’s ironic enough that Italy’s Fiat Auto could end up being the savior for Chrysler. After all, former Chrysler President Bob Lutz once likened Fiat to a dead bride when his old boss, Lee Iacocca, wanted the company to join up with the Italian carmaker. Now, Lutz is at General Motors until he retires in December, and Fiat may help his current employer.

Yes, the Italian carmaker is reportedly in talks with GM about forming a partnership with its European and South American businesses, says Automotive News. How ironic is that? Well, in 2000, GM bought 20% of Fiat Auto for $2.4 billion. Back then, GM was healthy and Fiat was in serious financial trouble. The Italian company was wracked by quality issues. It was so bad that GM actually paid another $2 billion a few years later just to avoid a put option that would have made GM the sole owner of Fiat. GM’s board didn’t want that kind of headache.

But now, after Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has fixed the company, he could help save Chrysler in the U.S. and GM in Europe. GM lost $1.5 billion in the Olde World last year, with its Opel and Vauxhaul brands suffering mightily with too many factories. GM is actually doing very well in Latin America, where the auto giant earned $1.3 billion last year. Fiat is pretty strong there, too, so they could make a powerful pair down there. The only catch is that Fiat doesn’t have any cash either. But the alliances will help be getting each company jointly-engineered vehicles and sharing parts.

The bottom line: Fiat is not a great carmaker by any stretch. But Chrysler and GM are in so much trouble that anyone could help at this point. Even Fiat.

Which brings me to my point; have any of you really looked at your Father?  I have.  I see worry in his eyes.  I see worry in both my parents eyes.  The questions my parents are facing, as they enter into their golden years are unfathomable, for someone my age.  Will my parents lose everything that my father worked hard to obtain?  We are talking 31 years worth of blood, sweat, and tears.  My Father earned every damned last penny.  I dare some idiot beltway type to say otherwise.

I have been a critic of the Obama Administration for much, as of late.  However, I will give him credit for one thing.  The President is looking out my Father.  I just hope he does not throw my Father under the bus, as he has many others in his short time in the White House.

Some of you might look at this posting and call me some sort of a hypocrite.  That is your right as an American.

However, if you could only see my Father’s eyes; you might just might be able to understand.

Megan McCain Stupid Twitter Twat

It appears that the Republican Party’s resident media whore is still writing stupid stuff on the internet….

Megan McCain on The Daily Beast:

Karl Rove follows me on Twitter. That’s creepy. I joined Twitter a few months ago; so far, it has been a liberating way to transition from political to personal blogging. It’s allowed me to share the less-serious aspects and humorously uncensored moments of my life. But there’s also been a downside: I am now being followed by Karl and my local sheriff, and God knows how many other political pundits. We need to take Twitter back from the creepy people.

Clueless Bitch of the Year!

Clueless Bitch of the Year!

On the surface, Karl Rove’s Twitter feed intrigues me. Here’s a guy who for years has been perceived as some kind of inaccessible man-behind-the-curtain figure. And now he Tweets numerous times a day. I’ve never met him in person, which only makes our Twitter relationship even weirder. And to be honest, I find Rove’s Tweets boring. Sometimes he takes questions; other times he talks about his appearances on cable news and other shows. But he doesn’t say anything substantive. If I had to guess, I’d say Rove has a “ghost Twitterer” (as in a ghost writer) or an assistant updating his feed for him.

Oddly enough, Rove’s Tweets seem to reveal a softer side to him. Call it savvy marketing, but I find it disingenuous. And it’s a bit weird to think his people—not even Rove himself—are following me. I’d like to think it’s because they find what I’m saying entertaining, but I can’t help thinking they’re just trying to seem connected to young people.

The Twitter creeps gets stranger. My local Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio (who, as the author of America’s Toughest Sheriff, is notorious in his own right) recently sent me a Tweet about an answer I gave a fellow Twitter follower. He tried to tell me to go easy on them. It’s really scary when the guy who houses his inmates in tents in the summer and whose most visible public-relations success involves pink underwear, boxers, and handcuffs tells you to tone it down. The sheriff also inexplicably Tweeted me to say my mother owes him $10. Say what?

This all coming from the same woman, who blocked ME on twitter, because I dared to tell the little clueless little moronic twit that she was about as Republican, that I was a damned communist. Then she bitches about it!  Just like her stupid father, she has no real Conservative political convictions. She just follows what is trendy at the time. Just another boat with no direction, at all. Seriously, I really seriously think, that this little feckless bitch would go back to Arizona and seriously look into shutting the FUCK UP and leave the political to those who actually know anything about it! She even went on that Bull Dyke Rachel Maddow’s show and admitted to all of the ten people that watch that show, that she was freakin’ CLUELESS, when it comes it the economy.

This broad is nothing more than a spoiled rotten RICH KID, who is about as goofy as she is rich. Please, for the love of gott, go back to your hole and stay there and stop embarrassing the Republican Party and more importantly, your own damn father! 🙄

I mean, it must run in the family… Is Cindy this much of a moron too??!?!?! If so, Poor John, I mean, holy hell. Gives new meaning to the words, “Shut up and suck!”

Update: I’m sure some of you might have read this and thought, “I thought this guy was a Paleo-Conservative and didn’t like Rove and Co?” You’re right, I don’t. My bitch with McCain is that she’s trashing Rove because he’s a Conservative; and Megan McCain isn’t.  She’s quite the liberal. So, while I am definitely not a Neo-Con Rove fan boy; I find Megan McCain’s trashing of the Republican Party, which basically made her Father to be just asinine. She should be ashamed of herself and should be shamed from the public square. If she was not John McCain’s daughter, she’d be ignored, like anyone else.

Rep. Jane Harmon Recorded on Wiretap promising to intervene on AIPAC’s Behalf

This story, if proven to be true. Could be extremely huge.

This one comes via CQ Politics:

Rep. Jane Harman , the California Democrat with a longtime involvement in intelligence issues, was overheard on an NSA wiretap telling a suspected Israeli agent that she would lobby the Justice Department to reduce espionage-related charges against two officials of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, the most powerful pro-Israel organization in Washington.

Harman was recorded saying she would “waddle into” the AIPAC case “if you think it’ll make a difference,” according to two former senior national security officials familiar with the NSA transcript.

In exchange for Harman’s help, the sources said, the suspected Israeli agent pledged to help lobby Nancy Pelosi , D-Calif., then-House minority leader, to appoint Harman chair of the Intelligence Committee after the 2006 elections, which the Democrats were heavily favored to win.

Seemingly wary of what she had just agreed to, according to an official who read the NSA transcript, Harman hung up after saying, “This conversation doesn’t exist.”

This, by the way, is not big news, it was reported back in 2006:

They were widely reported in 2006, along with allegations that the FBI launched an investigation of Harman that was eventually dropped for a “lack of evidence.”

What is new is that Harman is said to have been picked up on a court-approved NSA tap directed at alleged Israel covert action operations in Washington.

And that, contrary to reports that the Harman investigation was dropped for “lack of evidence,” it was Alberto R. Gonzales, President Bush’s top counsel and then attorney general, who intervened to stop the Harman probe.

Why? Because, according to three top former national security officials, Gonzales wanted Harman to be able to help defend the administration’s warrantless wiretapping program, which was about break in The New York Times and engulf the White House.

So, ol’ Alberto or as some like to call him fredo; figures he would save her skin, so she could defend his program.

Of course, Harman is doing the obvious spin and deny routine:

Harman declined to discuss the wiretap allegations, instead issuing an angry denial through a spokesman.

“These claims are an outrageous and recycled canard, and have no basis in fact,” Harman said in a prepared statement. “I never engaged in any such activity. Those who are peddling these false accusations should be ashamed of themselves.”

Yes, How dare they expose me as the crook that I am?!?!? I mean, can’t a gal be a little crooked without some johnny do-gooder opening his mouth and ruining my fun? 😉 😛

However, there are those that do not quite see it that way:

As for there being “no evidence” to support the FBI probe, a source with first-hand knowledge of the wiretaps called that “bull****.”

I read those transcripts,” said the source, who like other former national security officials familiar with the transcript discussed it only on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of domestic NSA eavesdropping.

“It’s true,” added another former national security official who was briefed on the NSA intercepts involving Harman. “She was on there.”

So, it looks like Harman was caught with her hand in the proverbial cookie jar on this one here, and her buddy Alberto was running cover for her. How quaint.

Now I know, every Paleo-Conservative that reads this, is going to go; “Hey, Wow! AIPAC is caught in a scandal! Maybe we’ll get lucky and the Justice Dept. will finally bust these idiots and they’ll be ran out of Washington D.C. for good.” In fact, I have heard rumors that Pat Buchanan went into a full body orgasm, when he heard about this. 😉  Well, I hate to be the one to wee wee on your little parade. But, if you think for one minute that the Israeli lobby is not going to go down without a huge, and I do mean, HUGE fight; you are very highly mistaken.  As most of you already know, AIPAC and the rest of them Israeli lobby have money; big money, as in “Donald Trump” kind of big money. As in enough money to stave something like this off and make them walk away smelling like a rose. What will most likely happen is, AIPAC will just say that it was rogue element within thier organzation and will deny that they knew anything about it. Now, Rep. Harman? I hope she’s got good lawyers! Because AIPAC and the rest of ’em will leave her out to dry. There always has to be a fall guy; well, in her case, A fall gal.

This should be a very interesting story to follow!

Finally! Something worth blogging about! 😀 😉 😛

The only thing that is “unhealthy” is David Axlerod’s Brain

It is official, David Axlerod just moved up another notch in the Douche Nozzle index:

Check out this video:

The Story:

Senior White House adviser David Axelrod on Sunday suggested the “Tea Party” movement is an “unhealthy” reaction to the tough economic climate facing the country.

Axelrod was asked on CBS’s “Face the Nation” about the “spreading and very public disaffection” with the president’s fiscal policies seen at the “Tea Party” rallies around the country last week.

“I think any time you have severe economic conditions there is always an element of disaffection that can mutate into something that’s unhealthy,” Axelrod said.

Axelrod appeared to backtrack when pressed on whether the movement is unhealthy.

“Well, this is a country where we value our liberties and our ability to express ourselves, and so far these are expressions,” he said.

“The thing that bewilders me is that this president just cut taxes for 95 percent of the American people,” Axelrod argued. “I think the tea bags should be directed elsewhere because he certainly understands the burden that people face.”

Democratic strategist James Carville disagreed with Axelrod on CNN’s “State of the Union” when John King asked him if it’s unhealthy for “an American to go out and hold a sign and say ‘I think my taxes are too high.'”

via CNN Political Ticker: – Axelrod suggests ‘Tea Party’ movement is ‘unhealthy’

Oh Yeah, Obama understands alright. Obama understands that he has a socialist agenda to fulfill. Obama simply wants to impose more regulations and yes, taxes upon us, so that he can fund the empire, that has become the United States of America. As far as his stupid statement about cutting the Taxes of 95% of Americans, what about that 5%, which is made up of a bit more people than Mr. Axlerod cares to admit? You know, like small business owners who are now going to have to pay higher taxes to shoulder the burden of those who basically do not have to pay taxes? Because of this these business owners will most likely have to cut staff and remove benefits, so, that they can afford to pay those taxes.

What that will translate to, is this; higher unemployment. Because whether President Bambi Teleprompter realizes it or not, 95% of Americans are employed by small to medium businesses. Not everyone has a job at General Motors, Chrysler, or Ford. Some of us here in Michigan are just not that damn lucky. Heck, even the industry that I tried getting into, the trucking industry; is starting to feel the squeeze of the massive recession that is being brought on by the stupidity of the former and current Presidents. Less people buying products, means less truckers needed to haul those products across the country. Not only this, with the Obama hiking the taxes of the top 5% in this country, namely those who own several trucks, owners are just not able to afford the drivers anymore because of the hike in Taxes that they have to pay every month. There’s a thing called road taxes. The more you drive, the more you pay; and if you operate in more than one state, you have pay taxes in the state you operate in.

So, yeah, the agenda is really working alright, to screw every damned American in the end. Which is exactly what the Democratic Party is infamous for. So, as the title of this Blog posting says, the only thing unhealthy, is Axlerod’s brain. Unhealthy For America, Unhealthy for Freedom, and unhealthy for the working class in this country. It so bewilders me why people will accept blatant stupidity and follow it like sheep.

But, according to them, it is for the greater good. But at who’s expense? Ours, of course.

So, if you’re unemployed; like me, and you’re trying to look for a job. Good luck to you, because your wonderful socialist asshat President and his administration just made it about 50 times harder to find a damn job. 😡

Damned idiots, All of them! 🙄

Obama gets his butt handed to him, by some douche nozzle named Ortega

Oh, the jokes just continue to write themselves:

President Obama endured a 50-minute diatribe from socialist Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega that lashed out at a century of what he called terroristic U.S. aggression in Central America and included a rambling denunciation of the U.S.-imposed isolation of Cuba’s Communist government.

Obama sat mostly unmoved during the speech but at times jotted notes. The speech was part of the opening ceremonies at the fifth Summit of the Americas here.

Later, at a photo opportunity with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Obama held his tongue when asked what he thought about Ortega’s speech.

“It was 50 minutes long. That’s what I thought.”

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ignored two questions about Ortega’s speech, instead offering lengthy praise of a cultural performance of dance and song opening the summit.

“I thought the cultural performance was fascinating,” Clinton said. Asked again about the Ortega speech, Clinton said: “To have those first class Caribbean entertainers on all on one stage and to see how much was done in such a small amount of space, I was overwhelmed.”

via Obama Endures Ortega Diatribe – First 100 Days of Presidency – Politics FOXNews.com.

Is that the best that President Bambi Teleprompter can do? Seriously. Can he not form a thought of his own, without his speech writer doing it for him? The Neo-NeoCon basically said that the best position that Obama is suited for is the U.N. ambassador. Actually, I think he would be better suited as a White House shoe shine boy myself. But that’s just me. I mean, considering that the fact he has the political weight of a Harlem globetrotter. Considering what Chavez, Gordon Brown and others have said, what little credibility we do have left is being squandered by political neophyte.

Of course, when a white Conservative like me, makes little comments like that, we’re slandered as racist bigots. To be fair, the G.O.P is not much better, they also installed a Harlem Globetrotter as well; as their party’s new President. I said it before, and I’ll say it again. We lost to “That one” why put “One of those” in, as the Party leader? Just did not make any sense to me. Considering his performance here as of late, I believe the Republican Party is about thoroughly screwed for the next four to eight years. However to be fair, you cannot blame at all on President Bush, the Republican Party has been trending more Progressive since the 1960’s. The proverbial “Chickens” came home to roost after Bush won, that’s all.

Worst thing that ever happened to the Republican Party, was when they starting sucking up to the “Religious right.” This caused topics like Homosexuality and Abortion to become “Hot Button” topics, which was one of the worst mistakes they ever made. How a party can espouse the tenants of limited Government out of one corner of their mouths and then preach a doctrine of control over a woman’s and a man’s body out of the other, is very much beyond me. Which is why I will never join the Republican Party. You cannot have it both ways, you either believe in limited government or you believe in overreaching Government control, which is a byproduct of a Statist doctrine.

Further more, another horrible tragedy that occurred in the Republican Party, is the whole “Go along to get along” mentality and the whole embracing of diversity; which took place after the Neo-Conservative Jews took control of the Republican Party in the mid 1960’s away from the Old Right, which held it for years. The sad part was they used underhanded tricks and baseless lies to fulfill their agenda.  By smearing great American institutions like the John Birch Society and sidelining them, they were able to pursue their Zionist agenda uninterrupted. The sick part was, they did it using one of the oldest liberal tricks in the book; by playing the race card.  But their many years of control is now starting to slip away from them, because of the inane stupidity of the George W. Bush Administration, their influence and power has been greatly diminished in the Republican Party.  I predict within the next four years, that the influence of the that section of the Republican Party is going to be all but irrelevant by 2012. There will be a more moderate and possibly even more Paleo-Conservative leader than will rise up and take the Republican Party back from the former fascist liberals that controlled it for so long.

I just hope, for the sake the Republican Party and for the sake of the spirit of the old right, that I am not mistaken.

CNN tries to use heavy handed tactics to keep embarrassing clip of reporter off YouTube

Wow, what liberals will not to to cover their own backsides and make themselves look good. I blogged a little about this last week, about the CNN reporter who basically tried to make the Tea-Party protesters look like a bunch of Fox News devotees. Anyhow, well, a little clip of her being confronted by one of the persons at the Tea-Party was posted by the Blog, named “Founding Bloggers”, and was posted to YouTube. Well, CNN comes along and files a trademark infringement complaint and it gets yanked.

Patterico, who hates me with the heat of a thousand hells; picks it up:

I’m sick of people knocking embarrassing videos off YouTube with bogus copyright violation claims.

The latest culprit is CNN, a network that was recently embarrassed by a video of reporter Susan Roesgen cutting off tea-party protestors in Chicago, and assailing them with silly liberal talking points. The blog Founding Bloggers showed up on scene and caught her in further arguments with angry citizens who noted her biased coverage. I posted the Founding Bloggers video on Thursday.

[……..]

And if they take that one down, well, I happen to have my own copy sitting around here somewhere. I have posted it on YouTube as well.

They’ll probably take our copies down, too. If they do, I’ll look for other sites to upload it to, or perhaps try to embed it here on the blog. And I may take Ben Sheffner’s advice and file a DMCA counternotice. If CNN wants to sue me, we can make this a test case.

In the meantime, I encourage every reader with a YouTube account to upload this video to YouTube. I encourage every blogger reading this to embed this same video to your own site.

We have to stop these thugs from reading fair use out of the law whenever they’re embarrassed.

A man by the name of Ben Sheffner from the Blog “Copyrights and Campaigns“, offers this legal advice:

CNN does own copyright in its own news footage and, as a general matter, has the right to demand its removal from YouTube. However, as to this particular video, I think Founding Bloggers has a very strong fair use defense. The purpose for Founding Bloggers’ posting of the CNN footage is crystal clear: to comment on and criticize CNN’s reporting on the “Tea Party.” Such a use is right in the heartland of the fair use doctrine; the statute specifically mentions “criticism, comment, [and] news reporting” as protected uses that are “not an infringement of copyright.” 17 U.S.C. § 107. To quickly run through the four fair use factors as they apply here: 1) the use is transformative (for critical comment); 2) the CNN footage is factual, not fictional, and was previously broadcast; 3) the amount used is small in relation to the whole CNN broadcast; and 4) any effect on the market is minuscule (and if fewer people watch CNN because this video causes them to think less of its coverage, that’s simply not cognizable harm). Many fair use cases are difficult, close calls–but, given the facts as I know them, this is an easy one.

In others, CNN is full of it, and that if Patterico wants to file a lawsuit or in this case, a counter-suit, it would be an easy win. Me and Patterico have not always seen eye to eye on some things in the past. But I am with him on this one here; what CNN is doing here, is nothing more than outright fascism, controlling the message, controlling their image and trying to wipe out any sort of negative message out about their company. As far as I am concerned this is the exact thing that Hitler did in Nazi Germany in the 1940’s. He jailed and usually killed anyone that spoke out against him. The Communists did this as well. As does North Korea and Iran. So, I think CNN needs to back away from the censorship deal, because this could very well blow up in their faces. I mean, they are already being murdered in the ratings by Fox News and MSNBC as well and this sure is not going to help.

I wish Patterico all the best of luck in this one. Because I think that the MSM needs to be sent a message, and that message is that you cannot totally control your so called “Image” to the point of trying to make true reality disappear.

D’oh! President Obama gets a book from Chevez that slams the US

The Jokes write themselves people….. Via Jack Tapper:

At President Obama’s meeting with the heads of South American countries this morning, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez stood, walked over to him, and presented him with a copy of “Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent” by Uruguayan author Eduardo Galeano.

Obama politely posed for a photograph with Chavez, shook his hand, and accepted the gift.

The book, first published in Spanish in 1971, offers a critique of the consequences of 500 years of European and U.S. colonization of Latin America.

APTOPIX CB Trinidad Americas Summit Obama

More Hope and Change? (and Communism?)

Galeano writes that while the era of “lodes of gold” and “mountains of silver” has passed, “our region still works as a menial laborer. It continues to exist at the service of others’ needs, as a source of oil and iron, of copper and meat, of fruit and coffee, the raw materials and foods destined for rich countries which profit more from consuming them than Latin America does from producing them.”

At another point in the book, Galeano writes: “Our defeat was always implicit in the victory of others; our wealth has always generated our poverty by nourishing the prosperity of others.”

The book also criticizes the U.S. for “spreading and imposing family planning. … In Latin America it is more hygienic and effective to kill future guerillas in the womb that in the mountains or the streets.

First he shakes hands with this idiot and now he gets a book from a Communist, that basically insults America and our values system, and basically capitalism in general; and he takes it and smiles. The book, from what I have read is basically a book full of Anti American sentiment and is filled with marxist rantings. In fact, the book, when it was first published, was banned in Uruguay and Chile. What does that tell you?

I tell ya folks, this President is going to give we Conservatives material to write with for many years to come. That is, if Obama and his marxist do not shut down blogs altogether for fear of his Administration being criticized.

So much for that talking point!

I guess President Bambi Teleprompter will have to change his script again:

There’s no dispute that thousands of handguns, military style rifles and other firearms are purchased in the U.S. and end up in the hands of Mexican criminals each year. It’s relatively easy to buy such guns legally in Texas and other border states and to smuggle them across.

But is it true as President Obama said, that “More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States?” No, it’s not.

The figure represents only the percentage of crime guns that have been submitted by Mexican officials and traced by U.S. officials. We can find no hard data on the total number of guns actually “recovered in Mexico,” but U.S. and Mexican officials both say that Mexico recovers more guns than it submits for tracing. Therefore, the percentage of guns “recovered” and traced to U.S. sources necessarily is less than 90 percent.

Furthermore, the 90 percent figure is based on a badly biased sample of all Mexican crime guns. Law enforcement officials say Mexico asks the U.S. to trace only those guns with serial numbers or other markings that indicate they are likely to have come though the U.S.

Fox News has put the percentage at only 17 percent, but we find that to be based on a mistaken assumption that throws its figure way off. We can’t offer a precise calculation because we know of no hard information on the total number of guns Mexican officials have recovered. But if a rough figure given by Mexico’s attorney general is accurate, then the actual percentage of all Mexican crime guns traced to U.S. sources is probably less than half what the president claims, and more than double what Fox news has reported.

via FactCheck.org: Counting Mexico’s Guns.

Leave it to a group of people, who actually have held position, say longer than a year; unlike our feckless President, to poke a huge hole in the Liberal MeMe that all the guns in Mexico and are coming from America. Interestingly enough, Fox News got disproved as well. Considering who owns them, I am not surprised at all. The truth of the matter is, and no one will say this; but I will. Most of those guns are coming Russia’s black market, and then are being shipped down through Mexico’s open borders.

So, it looks like the Liberal Democrats are going to have to find someone else to blame for Mexico’s gun problem and not us “Right Wing Extremists”, that the DHS just loves talking about. 😀

You are known by the company you keep

I think this says it all right here folks, this one via Fox News:

President Obama shook hands with Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez on Friday at the opening of the Summit of the Americas being held this weekend in Trinidad and Tobago.

Photos released by the Venezuelan government show Obama clasping Chavez’s hand and smiling broadly, and Venezuela

Hope and Change?!?!

Hope and Change?!?!

quoted Chavez as saying, “I’d like to be your friend,” while noting that he shook President Bush’s hand eight years ago with the same hand. Obama reportedly expressed thanks.

A senior White House official said the encounter came before the summit’s opening ceremonies during a meeting with the heads of state. Obama talked to many of the 25 or so leaders who were there at the time. At one point, he walked across the room and introduced himself to Chavez.

The official wouldn’t directly confirm Venezuela’s version of the encounter but didn’t dispute it. Chavez spoke in English, the official said.

Earlier Friday, Dan Restrepo, the president’s top Western Hemisphere adviser on the National Security Council, had told FOX News Obama might cross paths with Chavez.

“A chance encounter if it occurs,” Restrepo said, in describing such a meeting. “Let’s put the animosities behind us. Let’s not have old arguments.

“Let’s not have tired ideological arguments. Let’s get down to figuring out how we can advance things that are in our national interest. Things that matter to the United States that should matter to Venezuela. Putting the arguments and ideologies of the past aside and working on pragmatic solutions to real problems that face our countries today,” he said.

As far as I am concerned, he may as well been shaking hands with Karl Marx. It is the same thing. Chavez is a known Communist, and Obama is a known Socialist. You are who you hang around. Two birds flock together.  We were warned in the election that Barack Obama was nothing more than a radical left candidate and now, he’s proven it. On top of this, he is wanting to basically normalize relations with Cuba; a known Communist country as well.

What’s next, an ambassador to Al-Qaeda in Washington D.C.? I mean, you laugh or scoff at my words? But when does the slippery slope end? When do we say, enough is enough? How can someone; who has been charged with upholding and defending our Constitution, make allies with people like this? America is about to learn a cold, hard lesson, of why you do not elect people, based upon a personality.

I fear for our Nation, greatly. 🙁

Now, why am I not surprised about this?

As a Rule, I am not a big fan of Gawker.com. (Because I ended up on there once! 😮 )  But this one is too good to pass up:

CNN’s Susan Roesgen went nuts on the air Wednesday at a Chicago tea party, blaming everything (accurately) on Fox News. But maybe she was angry because Fox turned her down for a job—twice!

Roesgen got snippy with a crazy interviewee while trying to cover the tea partiers, and the crowd turned on her. “I think you get the general tenor of this,” she said. “It’s anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox.”

Back in 2005, though, according to a Fox News source, Roesgen really wanted to work for that right-wing conservative network. She sent a tape of her on-air work to Fox’s then-programming chief Kevin Magee in January 2005, and followed up with another reel to Magee’s successor Bill Shine in September 2005. Needless to say, she didn’t get the gig.

via Gawker – Fox-Bashing CNN Reporter Applied for a Job at Fox – Tea parties.

Man, the irony here is just too good. Nothing says asshole more than slamming a network; that you tried to apply for, more than doing what this feckless bitch tried to do. This is to say nothing about her total unprofessional treatment of the people she was trying to interview. Political Bias and an axe to grind; man, can’t get much more catty that! I thought Malkin was a bit catty! Wow! Meeooow indeed!

Gawker goes on:

So next time you see CNN or MSNBC talking heads—like Fox News alum David Shuster, for instance—talking about how awful Fox is (which it is!), just remember: It’s all business, kids.

Indeed. So, that explains O’Reilly and Olbermann? Huh, and here I thought it was some sort of gay crush thing. Doggone.
