COEUR D’ALENE — A teen attempting to rob an espresso stand in northern Idaho met his match in a gun totin’ barista.
Police say the 17-year-old confronted Sunshine Espresso owner Michelle Cornelson with a gun at about 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, demanding all her money.
Cornelson has been hunting since she was a little girl and says she remained calm as a customer pulled up to the other side of her kiosk, distracting the teen.
Cornelson quickly whipped out her 9 mm Kel-Tec firearm — a Christmas present from her husband — scaring the teen off before calling police.
A Kootenai County sheriff’s deputy was nearby after picking up a beverage at the stand and caught the suspect, who was later transported to a juvenile detention center.
Two thumbs up the pretty lady with 9MM! The only true deterrent to crime, is GUNS baby!
A federal court officer has died and another is in serious condition after being shot this morning in the lobby of the Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse, 333 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
The U.S. Marshals Service says the shooting victims included a deputy U.S. marshal and a court security officer. The Associated Press is reporting that one of the officers has died, although it wasn’t immediately clear which one.
University Medical Center spokesman Rick Plummer said the dead officer was 65 years old.
Metro Police responded at 8:05 a.m. to the shooting, police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said. FBI Special Agent Joseph Dickey says the gunman died shortly after a shootout.
Before the AP reported one officer’s death, police spokesman Ramon Denby said the officers were in “very serious” condition and undergoing surgery.
Denby said authorities had finished clearing the federal building. A suspicious vehicle on the east side of the courthouse was also cleared and determined not to be a threat.
Las Vegas Boulevard was closed in both directions.

PLAINS, GA (WALB) â A doll found hanging off a Main Street building in Plains is causing controversy.
Controversial enough to get the United States Secret Service involved.
Witnesses say it was an image of President Barack Obama with a rope around his neck, and the display was found hanging in one of the city’s most recognizable sites dedicated to former President Jimmy Carter.
A few people were able to snap pictures of the black doll before it was taken down.
“I saw this stuffed thing hanging up,” said Alonzo Davis, Plains Resident.
Davis is one of the people who saw the doll hanging off the brick building, he said a sign on the front had President Obama’s name on it.
“People have seen it and have the pictures but no body is talking about it,” said Davis. “I don’t think it’s right I don’t know if it’s someone horse playing or what.”
Plains is proud of Jimmy Carter, with patriotism on display almost everywhere. Tourists walked around with no idea of what happened Saturday morning, but some who live here are speaking out.
“It’s wrong what they did, but I’m not shocked to hear about it,” said Plains resident Trevor Sims. “It’s a nice place to live and visit but some people out there don’t like it.”
I personally don’t give a flying flip who did it; but whoever did ought to be in jail! Period. There are some other Bloggers who are on the right, that are saying, “Standby for blame fest” and such, but you know, I am just going to say it. It could have been just some idiot kids, thinking that they were being cute. Then again, that is Georgia and some attitudes down there have not changed a bit. Which proves what Barry Goldwater said, that you cannot legislate morality.
Either way; whoever did that, ought to go to jail. Some might say, “well, what about you!?!” I have an answer, I made my mistake, I paid for it, and I learned from it. I will not ever go there again; I do not care how much the other side wants to race-bait. Also, another blogger makes the point that liberals did the same thing to Bush. He does have a point, but; as much as a Conservative as I am, I realize with President Obama, it is very different, and Racism is a serious thing, and we as Americans should be a little bit more knowledgeable about that.
If you thought 2010 was the future, think again. A phony new email chain letter â one of the antiquated viral sort leftover from the AOL era â is claiming that the case against President Barack Obamaâs citizenship has reached the Supreme Court, based on a forged and typo-riddled Associated Press âreport.â
The birther movement of angry citizens who believe President Obama was not born in the country and is thus ineligible to be president seemed to lose steam in the year since the 2008 election, but this new email spreading takes the accusations to a new level of ridiculousness based on fake news done poorly.
This is the main reason why I quit giving that birther crap any space on my blog. Because they know they are wrong. But that will not stop them. What they cannot prove; they make up. Which is horrible, but they are entitled to free speech, like everyone else — like me.
The problem is, there are well-meaning Conservatives, who actually believe this bunch of nonsense. The problem is, not many of them know this theory’s origins; which was on the White Nationalist website, Stormfront. It was then picked up operatives in the Hillary Clinton campaign, and then finally by political operatives within the Republican Party. It was quickly dumped by the Republicans and somewhat by the Hillary people. But it still festers out there. There are some, who are still angry at Obama from the Hillary camp, and some angry Republicans, who still, to this day, forward these e-mails around. It is, as Charles Johnson noted in the interview that I posted, a nuanced racial message, that basically says, “Go back to Africa, nigger!” I will be the first to admit it, there are some racists still in the ranks of Conservatives, especially in the south. Some of these people, at some point may have voted Democrat. Some not. It depends entirely on the person. This is not to say, that they all are, but there are some who hold that well-nuanced feeling towards blacks.
I think one of tragedies of the Conservative Blogosphere is that some of them, including me, got caught up into that birther nonsense. Especially when Orly Taitz started bringing out her “supposed” Birth Certificates. I was burned on that story once; it will never happen again, I can assure you of that. I went as far as to add a retraction to the story and went out of my way to slam that pathetic woman, for even trying to deceive the American people. I also slammed the owner of WorldNetDaily for giving Taitz the space to spout her nonsense too. Most of the rest that covered it, never bothered, and that to me, is a real issue. I mean, if you going to cover a story, at least have the common decency to say that it was a hoax.
Police officers from two Chicago suburbs are being sued after one of them allegedly Tasered a man having a diabetic seizure because the diabetic involuntarily hit the officer while being taken to an ambulance.
Prospero Lassi, a 40-year-old employee of Southwest Airlines, filed the lawsuit (PDF) with a federal court in Chicago last week, following an April 9, 2009, incident in which Lassi was taken to hospital following a violent diabetic seizure — and being Tasered 11 times while unconscious.
That day, Lassi’s roommate found the man on the floor of his apartment having a seizure and foaming at the mouth, according to the statement filed with the court. The roommate called 911 for help, and police officers from the Brookfield and LaGrange Park police departments arrived to help with the situation.
As police officers were helping the paramedics move Lassi to an ambulance, Lassi — still in the midst of the seizure and described as “unresponsive” — involuntarily smacked one of the officers with his arm.
“Reacting to Mr. Lassiâs involuntary movement, one or more of the [officers] pushed Mr. Lassi to the ground, forcibly restraining him there,” the complaint states. “[LaGrange Park Officer Darren] Pedota then withdrew his Taser, an electroshock weapon that uses electrical current to disrupt a personâs control over his muscles, and electrocuted Mr. Lassi eleven times.
As you all know; I am person that is an adamant defender of the rule of law. However, if this story is to be taken at face value; this is not one of those instances. This is nothing more than a classic case of police brutality. I personally hope that the judge throws the book at the police officers involved in this case. Because it is obvious to me, that the idiots that pulled off this little number, were well out of line and should be punished for it.

The goal is âhow to develop emotionally healthy leadership.â The conference also features Pete Scazzero, founder of Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, a ministry that promotes emotional health through Catholic contemplative mysticism. Driscoll is the ultra-cool senior pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Washington. He claims to be âTHEOLOGICALLY CONSERVATIVE AND CULTURALLY LIBERALâ (âPastor Provocateur,â Christianity Today, Sept. 21, 2007) and criticizes âhardcore fundamentalism that throws rocks at culture.â He defines himself as ârelevant,â âcontextual,â and âcoolâ (âConference examines the emerging church,â Baptist Pres s, Sept. 25, 2007). These are contradictory statements. You canât be faithful to the Bible (having rock-solid theology) if you âcontextualize the gospelâ and refuse to attack the sinful and satanic side of culture, which is a very large side of it in a world in which the devil is god! John the Baptist lost his head for rebuking a political leader for his immorality. Too bad he did not have one of Driscollâs books to help him learn how to be culturally liberal. In Case anyone has forgotten; Yes, we are still at war:
KABUL â At least six Americans were killed Wednesday when a suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest made his way into an American base in Khost Province in southeastern Afghanistan, according to NATO military officials.
The bomber managed to elude security and reach the baseâs gym, said one official, who did not want to be identified because the official was not authorized to speak about the incident.
The official said the attack took place at Forward Operating Base Chapman, which one official described as ânot a regular base,â meaning that it was used by American intelligence agencies. It was unclear exactly where on the base the explosion occurred.
The suicide bomber died in the blast and six Americans were also wounded, some of them seriously, suggesting that the death toll could climb, the officials said.
Khost Province borders Pakistan and has been prime operating ground for insurgent groups with links to Al Qaeda and for other extremists hiding in Pakistanâs tribal areas.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the injured and those who were killed. I think it would be a nice time for everyone to say a prayer for those men, who put their lives on the line on the front lines of the battle against terrorism and for freedom.
What is needed now are not partisan fights about whether the Obama Administration was doing enough to guard against terrorist attacks in the wake of shootings last month at Fort Hood, Texas. Instead, we should question whether our overreaction to the crimes against humanity on 9/11–including the creation of an endless “war” against terrorism–has done more to undermine our security than enhance it. American safety will be better ensured through common-sense counterterrorism and homeland defense measures, including extensive intelligence cooperation expert police work and border control.
Oh yes,Katrina, let’s just cut and run and stop trying to fight the war on terror — so, that Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan can regroup and come back stronger. Not only in the Afghanistan region, but also in Yemen and other regions as well. What a pathetic bitch. đ What more living proof do we need, that the Socialist Far-Left Liberal Democrats are nothing more than terrorist sympathizers? Which is why I will never vote for them again, ever. Give me a politico that gives a flying flip about National Security, please. Not some terrorist coddling asshat.

He is a black person. Our President is also a black person. One plus one usually equals two! It seems that nobody is either willing or even possibly able to make that connection. Our Government officials new about this guy and knew that plans were being made; but they did not do anything about it. Why? I will tell you why! Because they knew, that if they acted upon this little piece of evidence, that it would possibly upset the President; because the mean ol’ United States Government was picking on some poor young black man — of whom the the white man oppressed and the Government did nothing about it for so many years. I mean, if you were employed by the NSA or CIA and you were aware of this situation, would you want to risk angering a black President, who was all down with “The Struggle”(tm)? I think you all know what I mean.

Karl Rove, former senior adviser to President George W. Bush, has been granted a divorce in Texas after 24 years of marriage, family spokeswoman Dana Perino said.
âKarl Rove and his wife, Darby, were granted a divorce last week,” said Perino. “The couple came to the decision mutually and amicably, and they maintain a close relationship and a strong friendship. There will be no further comment, and the family requests that its privacy be respected.â
The Roves were married in January 1986.
A family friend told POLITICO: âAfter 24 years of marriage, many of which were spent under incredible stress and strain during the White House years, the Roves came to a mutual decision that they would end the marriage. They did spend Christmas together with their son, and they plan to spend time together in the future. They maintain a strong friendship, and they both feel that that friendship is a source of comfort and inspiration for their friends and family.â
This proves what I have believed all along. That social Conservatism is nothing more, than a well-planned and executed joke. I will not do the pile-on about Rove’s stances on Gay Marriage. However, I will present this video, done by Jack Hunter, who now Video Blogs over at the American Conservative. In this video, Jack makes some very valid points about the establishment Republicans in Washington D.C. at the 3:13 mark is where Jack really makes the point that I am making here.
I will be the first to admit; I do not always agree with Jack on foreign policy and war. However, I am in total agreement with him on the subject of social Conservatism. I being a child of the 1980’s, I remember very clearly all the talk that Reagan was going to get prayer back into schools, was going to see to it that Abortion was outlawed. Now did any of that stuff ever happen? Um, No. That is because the Republicans of that era, were exploiting the Conservative Christian community for their vote. Sort of like what Barack Obama’s campaign did to the far left during the election of 2008.
I do not always agree with him on the finer points of Conservatism; but my friend Ed Morrissey scored a nice catch here. Seems that our attempted plane bomber fiend has friends:
American officials have cause to worry there may be more al Qaeda-trained young men in Yemen planning to bring down American jets.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, charged with the attempted Christmas Day bombing of Northwest Airlines flight 253, told FBI agents there were more just like him in Yemen who would strike soon.
And in a tape released four days before the attempted destruction of the Detroit-bound Northwest plane, the leader of al Qaeda in Yemen boasted of what was planned for Americans, saying, “We are carrying a bomb to hit the enemies of God.”
Yemen has become a principal al Qaeda training ground and the accused suicide bomber told the FBI he was trained for more than a month in Yemen, given 80 grams of a high explosive cleverly sewn into his underpants, undetected by standard security screening.
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – Dutch military police are investigating the possibility that an accomplice may have helped the Nigerian man accused of trying to blow up a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day, a spokesman said on Monday.
A U.S. couple on the flight, Kurt and Lori Haskell, told Reuters and other news agencies that they saw a tall, well-dressed man aged about 50 with the suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab on Friday morning at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
The Haskells have claimed the man spoke for Abdulmutallab and attempted to get him aboard Northwest flight 253 without a passport.
“At this moment we have no information on whether there was another guy,” the military police spokesman said. “We are checking all clues and information we get.”
In light of all this, is this the best that the Democrats and Republicans can do in Congress? Sit and blame one another? Lame response folks, lame, lame, lame, response. Oh yes, lets play the idiotic and childish blame game on each other, while tens of millions of lives are at stake. No wonder the American people have turned against this Congress and this President; because they are too damned busy trying to blame others, instead of trying to fix the damned problem in the first place!
The elections of 2010 and 2012 cannot come fast enough; because it is quite obvious that this Congress and this President are more interested in playing politics with terrorism, just like the last President did during his tenure in office and the American people, present company included, are sick and tired of the damn political shell games. Al-Qaeda is a serious threat to the United States of Americaâs National Security, and we need more than just Washington D.C. Politics of blaming one another, we need action and we need it now, before some plane is blown up over my damned house in Lincoln Park, Michigan, which is about 10 miles from the Detroit Metro Airport. Having said all that, to Congress and the President and his Cabinet — Enough of the god damned political games people. I want to be secure in living this house by the airport. I do not care who is to blame for what. I just want it fixed and I wanted it fixed now, please. Thank you.

Metro Airport spokesman John Witner said there was a report of suspicious activity on the Delta/Northwest flight 253 from Amsterdam Sunday. That is the same flight number as the flight that a Nigerian man was suspected of attempting to blow up over Detroit on Christmas Day.
All 257 passengers and 12 crew have deplaned safely, said Delta spokeswoman Susan Elliott. The flight landed safely in Detroit at 12:34 p.m. Sunday.
The flight crew requested that law enforcement meet the aircraft after a passenger on the plane became verbally disruptive, said Elliott.
Fox News is now reporting that a Nigerian man locked himself in the bathroom, flight crew kicked in the door and detained the guy; the man then became irate and ended up having to be restrained. FBI and other agencies are on the scene at Metro Airport.
DETROIT â The pilots of Northwest Airlines Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit â the same flight involved in Fridayâs terrorism attempt â requested emergency assistance Sunday upon landing in Detroit, Scott Wintner, an airport spokesman said. The crew had requested police assistance on the ground because a passenger was âverbally disruptive,â according to a statement from Delta Airlines, which acquired with Northwest last year.
Update #2: Fox News Reports that there is report that this man may have just been sick. I am working on getting confirmation on this. Standby.

A U.S.-born radical cleric is alive and well following reports he may have been killed in a Yemeni airstrike against suspected al-Qaida hideouts, friends and relatives said Friday.
The government said it targeted a meeting of high-level al-Qaida operatives in Thursday's airstrike in the remote Shabwa region. It claimed at least 30 militants were killed, possibly including Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical cleric who has been linked to the shooter in last month's attack at the Fort Hood military base in the U.S.
On Friday, a friend of the cleric, Abu Bakr al-Awlaki, told The Associated Press he was not among those killed. He refused to say if the cleric was attending the meeting.
On Christmas Day, no less. For those who do not know, I am in the Detroit-area. The Airport in question is in Romulus, Michigan, (Not Detroit…) and less than 10 miles from my house. So, now, it’s personal, the bastards tried to hit MY town! You can imagine how I feel, at the moment. đĄ

ROMULUS, Mich. (WJBK) – A senior U.S. official says a Northwest Airlines passenger from Nigeria claims h e was acting on behalf of al-Qaida
when he tried to blow up a flight Friday as it landed in Detroit.
Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., identified the suspect as Abdul Mudallad, a Nigerian. King said the flight began in Nigeria and went through Amsterdam en route to Detroit. One of the U.S. intelligence officials said the explosive device was a mix of powder and liquid. It failed when the passenger tried to detonate it.
The passenger was being questioned Friday evening. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is continuing. Fox 2 spoke with passangers as they were released from that flight.
The passenger created a disturbance by lighting what was reported to be firecrackers — or perhaps a “powdery substance” — onboard the flight, injuring himself and several other passengers, according to Delta Airlines
The passenger was subdued. FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold confirmed today that agents are at Metro.
ABC News reported on its web site that the man is Nigerian and claimed he was directed by Al Qaeda to explode a small device in flight over U.S. soil.
The man was apparently already on the government’s no-fly list of suspected terrorists, ABC News said a senior intelligence official told them.

But later, Syed Jafry of Holland, Mich., a U.S. citizen who had flown from the United Arab Emirates, emerged from the airport and said he was a passenger on the flight. He said people ran out of their seats to tackle the man.
Jafry was sitting in the 16th row when he heard “a pop and saw some smoke and fire.” Then, he said, âa young man behind me jumped on him.â
Jafry said there was a little bit of commotion for about 10 to 15 minutes. He said the way passengers responded made him proud to be an American.

His wife and daughter, who had been waiting for him at the airport since about 11:40 a.m., said they saw a person they believe to be the suspect being transported from the airport. Dawn Griffith said he was âyoung lookingâ and was handcuffed to a stretcher, with his hands bandaged.

Oxnard police shot and killed the 46-year-old driver of a propane truck Wednesday outside a McDonaldâs restaurant after a chase in which the suspect knocked over a motorcycle officer and rammed numerous vehicles, including police cars, authorities said.
The chase began at Wooley Road and Victoria Avenue in Oxnard about 1 p.m. after the driver refused an officerâs request to pull over, Oxnard Police Department spokesman David Keith said. Police today identified him as an Oxnard resident, but declined to release his name until family could be located.
At times during the chase, police backed off, giving the driver plenty of room because he was hauling propane, a highly explosive and flammable gas.
But police resumed the chase after the driver rammed several vehicles with the truck, Keith said.
The chase ended in the parking lot of a shopping center at Ventura Road and Fifth Street next to a McDonaldâs.
Keith said the driver rammed several more vehicles in the parking lot. Fearing for their safety and that of the public, police fired numerous rounds into the cab of the truck, killing the driver.
The white truck sat in the parking lot throughout the afternoon and early evening as a crowd of onlookers gathered nearby.
Dozens of police cars were parked along Ventura Road and in the parking lot as investigators interviewed witnesses and gathered evidence. A sheriffâs helicopter hovered over the scene.
Oxnard Police Department Cmdr. Tom Chronister told The Associated Press the truck driverâs boss had alerted police that his employee was driving under the influence and acting irrationally. Other drivers also called police to report the man was driving recklessly.
The driver worked for AAA Propane in Oxnard. Owner John Simpson declined to say anything about the incident on Wednesday beyond a prepared statement: âEveryone here at AAA Propane is shocked and saddened by this event. Until we learn additional information, we will be unable to make additional comments at this time.â
During the chase, a motorcycle officer was knocked to the ground.
Keith said Wednesday evening that none of the police officers sustained serious injuries. Police found no weapons in the truck, where the body remained until a coroner arrived.

SANAA (Reuters) – A Yemeni air raid may have killed the top two leaders of al Qaeda’s regional branch on Thursday, and an American Muslim preacher linked to the man who shot dead 13 people at a U.S. army base may also have died, a Yemeni security official said.
Nasser al-Wahayshi, the Yemeni leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), and his Saudi deputy, Saeed al-Shehri, were believed to be among 30 militants killed in the dawn operation in the eastern province of Shabwa, said the official, who asked not to be identified.
U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki may also have died in the air strike which targeted a meeting of militants planning attacks on Yemeni and foreign oil and economic targets, he said.
If all the deaths are confirmed, the air strike would appear to have struck a severe blow against AQAP, seen as the most dangerous regional offshoot of Osama bin Laden’s network.
“Anwar al-Awlaki is suspected to be dead,” the official said of the cleric who was on the run in Yemen, where he was on the government’s most-wanted list of terrorist suspects.
According to U.S. officials, the U.S. army psychiatrist who ran amok at the Fort Hood army base in Texas on November 5 had contacts with Awlaki.
The Yemeni official said one leading figure in AQAP, Mohammed Saleh Omair, was confirmed dead in Thursday’s raid.
The United States cooperates closely with Yemen in combating al Qaeda militancy. Pentagon officials were not immediately available to comment on any U.S. involvement in the raid.
The Yemeni official mentioned only one air strike, which a government website said had taken place at 5 a.m., but Al Arabiya television reported four raids.
Resurgent al Qaeda attacks have stirred fears that worsening instability in Yemen, an impoverished country struggling with multiple security threats, might enable militants to launch renewed attacks in neighboring oil superpower Saudi Arabia.
Al Qaeda’s wing in Yemen, where Osama bin Laden’s father was born, announced in January it had changed its name to al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula — in an apparent attempt to revive the group in Saudi Arabia, where a tough counter-terrorism drive had halted the group’s three-year armed campaign in 2006.
Wahayshi, the new group’s Yemeni leader, threatened attacks against Westerners in the oil-exporting region. AQIP has also called for the overthrow of the U.S.-allied Saudi royal family.

Some good news in the midst of all the bad news out of Washington D.C.:
POLITICO has learned that Rep. Parker Griffith, a freshman Democrat from Alabama, will announce today that heâs switching parties to become a Republican.
According to two senior GOP aides familiar with the decision, the announcement will take place this afternoon in Griffith's district in northern Alabama.
Griffithâs party switch comes on the eve of a pivotal congressional health care vote and will send a jolt through a Democratic House Caucus that has already been unnerved by the recent retirements of a handful of members who, like Griffith, hail from districts that offer prime pickup opportunities for the GOP in 2010.
The switch represents a coup for the House Republican leadership, which had been courting Griffith since he publicly criticized the Democratic leadership in the wake of raucous town halls during the summer.

The era of Blue-Dog Democrats is over, you are either in the tank with the far-left progressives or you are out in the cold. While this might seem to be good strategy for the far-left; some are just not into the far-left progressiveness of Pelosi and Co. Some are saying that this is not a good sign on the left. It would mean the era of hope and change is cracking up. Which, in this writers opinion is a good thing.
I feel the need to fire up the handy word processer and really let my writing juices flow on this one. First, I am quite glad the sign was found — although, I am saddened that this sign was found cut up. I believe that the criminal thugs that did this ought to face the firing squad for their actions.
The reason why this story rather hit me in an odd way is for two reasons. One, my grandfatherâs two brothers, Frank and Harlan, both fought in Germany. Frank got his index finger blown off, by a grenade that exploded too early. He never was able to use that finger again, of any great use anyhow. Another reason is this, while I have never been a rabid Zionist, because quite frankly, some of the more radical elements of Zionism I find to be rather annoying and because, quite frankly, Zionism has been turned into a well lucrative racket for some of the parties involved. Â Not only this, but there is a great deal of race baiting that goes on in those circles, towards to the Arab race â more so after 9/11, so I have noticed. Having said that; I cannot sit and act as of what Hitler did was no big deal — It was a big deal, for many Jews and Americans as well, and to joke about that horrific event; that is just inexcusable.
The other reason is, my keen awareness and interest in the subject of history, notably the era of the 1940âs; I am well aware of the unspeakable horrors that took place to the Jews, during the reign of Hitler. I personally recommend, that you please, and I do mean, please read this blog posting by Rachel Lucas, she is in England, and she traveled with her husband to Poland to the death camps. Please, have your tissues handy, because if you do not cry, I will wonder about you.
There is another issue as well. I was not going to blog about all. However, see this story did come out. I will inform you of something that happened to me earlier today on twitter. Some person on twitter thought that mentioning the Nazi death camp and President Barack Obama would be cute. She went on to say that, she was joking and that she was half-Jewish. I personally do not give a damn what she is, what she said was highly offensive. Now, why would I get all bend out of shape over something like that? I highly suggest that you go read this blog posting by Rachel Lucas, and then you might have an understanding as to why I was so highly bothered by that idiotic remark.
As for as this writer is concerned, anyone who makes crass comments, invoking the President of the United States of America with images of Hitler or Nazi death camps is no better than the Big Government socialists that are trying to destroy our economy, free market system, and our freedoms. Let this be a warning to anyone on twitter, you make a stupid comment as the one made in this writing, and I happen to see it. I will block you and advise all those who follow me to do so as well. There is no excuse whatsoever for that sort of nonsense, at all.
Our President may be a member of the Democratic Party; he may be, in fact, a big Government socialist. However, he is not, nor has he ever, nor will he ever be responsible for the death of anyone of the Jewish race. Further, I feel that it is a disgrace to the memory of those, who lost their lives, during the reign of terror of Hitler and the third Reich. Making illusions to that image is not only was it not funny, but it is an asinine thing to do.
I thought that those, who share my beliefs in fiscal Conservatism, were wiser than this; I hope that I am not mistaken.
