Good Lord. đ
Look for this to be the next big Meme all weekend.
This blog is no longer active as of October 31, 2011

I guess that you can consider this my “It’s on, Motherfucker!” Posting. I have sat back on the god-damned sidelines long enough. I have watched as Charles Foster Johnson has continued to slime a fellow Georgia Brother, A fellow Conservative, and a fellow brother in Jesus Christ. I am referring to none other Robert Stacy McCain.
I guess you could say; that I have just fucking flat out had it “Up to here!” with the fucking bullshit accusations against us on the right, that are against the fucking bullshit communist foreign policies of the Obama Administration, as being racist. I guess you could say that I am just fucking flat tired of the fucking collectivist bullshit tripe, that flows out of the mouth of those who want blame every last god damned fucking person under the planet, that has Conservative leanings; for the actions of a few idiots who want to try and discredit this movement of humanity against this administration.
I had some anti-LGF ads up here, that I ran for free. I removed them; because I had some questions that I really felt had not been answered good enough for my liking. Well, they were answered and it seems that Charles Foster Johnson is in full on smear mode. Well, I’ve fucking had just about god damn enough of it. đĄ
It just so happens that we Conservatives were basically Anti-Slavery, and Anti-Racist for many years. Hell, Abraham Lincoln fought the civil war over the issue. However, the side that is not told about it is this; The Confederation Army did NOT go to war with the union over this; it was over CENTRALIZED Government! The Confederates knew that if the Union instituted a centralized Government, that freedoms would be lost and they decided to go to war. What is also not told, is that fact that Lincoln’s army basically committed what would be known today as acts of terrorism. That is what this song here is all about. Abraham Lincoln knew god-damned well, that he could not win the war against the south by fighting a war, by the rule book. So, he fought it dirty and won. Some people say this is a fallacy, but I call bullshit; I have read the writings of the confederates and believe me, it was a nasty war, fought by fucking cowards who could not win any other way.
After the war was fought and won; Slavery was abolished. A good thing, I might add. Holding people against their will and using them for labor and profit, is not only stupid, it is ungodly as hell. For this one thing; I will give Abe Lincoln credit for. But everything he did to the South was just fucking rotten and I still consider the fucking bastard a god damned traitor. The truth is; Lincoln was forced into the position, because of political issues, NOT because he wanted to:
“I will say, then, that I AM NOT NOR HAVE EVER BEEN in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the black and white races—that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with White people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the White and black races which will ever FORBID the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together, there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I, as much as any other man, am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the White race.”
â 4th Lincoln-Douglas debate, September 18th, 1858; COLLECTED WORKS Vol. 3, pp. 145-146
Yes, that is a real quote, here’s another:
“What I would most desire would be the separation of the white and black races.”
â Spoken at Springfield, Illinois on July 17th, 1858; from ABRAHAM LINCOLN: COMPLETE WORKS, 1894, Vol. 1, page 273
“See our present condition—the country engaged in war! Our White men cutting one another’s throats! And then consider what we know to be the truth. But for your race among us there could not be war, although many men engaged on either side do not care for you one way or another.
“Why should the people of your race be colonized, and where? Why should they leave this country? This is, perhaps, the first question for proper consideration. You and we are different races. We have between us a broader difference than exists between almost any other two races. Whether it is right or wrong I need not discuss, but this physical difference is a great disadvantage to us both, as I think your race suffer very greatly, many of them by living among us, while ours suffer from your presence. In a word, we suffer on each side. If this be admitted, it affords a reason at least why we should be separated. It is better for both, therefore, to be separated.”
â Spoken at the White House to a group of black community leaders, August 14th, 1862, from COLLECTED WORKS OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN, Vol 5, page 371
So, Abraham Lincoln; putting his personal feelings aside, pushed for and got; the outlawing of slavery in the south. Not long after that, the group known as a the “Radical Republicans” fought for and got a commission in the south to restore the South’s economy. Later, this was stopped by the Democrats of the day and as a result, many blacks and poor whites in the south ended up being sharecroppers. Still, the Slaves were freed.
After slavery, some white men in the south were not too keen on the idea of black men roaming freely around in their towns; decided that the two races should be separated. Because they felt that the Negro man was not exactly known his civility. Now honestly — I do not agree with this; and I believe that it was a flawed mentality. However, I believe that it was the personal right of those, who chose to do this, to do it. Senator Barry Goldwater agreed with me; and refused to sign that unconstitutional so called “Civil Rights Act” of 1964.
The Negros fought and won against the Southern racist Democrats; however, they did trample on Constitutional rights to do so. But the fact is; they won. None of them are in chains, and they can now roam free as they wish, they cannot be arrested for eating in a “White” restaurant anymore. Those days are over and yet, some of them act like it is still 1945.
It can be said with the most confidence; that the age of “Jim Crow” and that of the mentality of the Klansman is officially dead. Oh, sure; there are those who are of the depraved, unenlightened mindset that still believe that the Negro man is not of the same elevated mindset of the white race. But those people have been long marginalized and largely discredited. America has elected a half Negro President; I refuse to call him “African-American”, either your American or African, make up your god damned mind! I say half Negro, because many forget, President Obama is half a White man too.
Yet today, you have the people of the very same party, that fought to keep the Negro race in chains; the very same party that fought to keep the negro race segregated; accusing the very people who agree with the political ideology, that freed the slaves in the first place — of being racist! —- and this after an Black President has been elected! President Obama is a a Democrat, he is a socialist! Therefore he is prone to critique by those of us, who disagree with the ideology of the Democratic Party!
What really ticks me off, is the collectivist mindset among these Socialist Democrats, who seek to blame the entire Conservative movement; for the actions of a few protesters. This is just absolutely asinine and smacks of that collectivist mindset, that the Socialist Liberal Democrats are known for; herding the cattle onto the plantation.
So, in solidarity of my Southern Brother Robert Stacy McCain, I present this song. May the spirit of the Southern Conservative never die and may we always be known as those who stood and fought against those who would try and destroy our Country.
Update: Video was removed, I guess Charles Foster Johnson’s trolls are lurking about. No matter; I still feel the same way and I will NOT submit or surrender to socialist assholes who want to smear those of us, who fight for freedom and against Islamic Jihad. (Fixed typo…. d’oh!)
and I still say to Johnson, Bring it on prick, because I can dish it out, as much as I can take it. đĄ
Heh….
Those two free ads are running for two weeks. Basically in support of a friend of mine; who is being attacked by a person, of whom I believe to be a traitor to the Conservative movement, the anti-jihad movement and Anti-Islamic Fascism Movement. Further more, attacking those of us who dare to speak out against the Current administration as racists.
I had hoped that I could stay out of this fray or at least not have to mention said parties name on my Blog. But it seems that Mr. Charles Foster Johnson has got a serious problem. That problem is collectivism; that is blaming of an entire movement for the misdeeds of a slight few. The whole guilt by association game that the far left tries to play against anyone who disagrees with their politics. The end for me, is when Charles Johnson said of the owner of Gateway Pundit; that he was a “Borderline illiterate Bigot.”
My advice to Charles Johnson is this. Take the fucking idiotic stupid blog of yours down and go the fuck away. Whatever you do, do NOT fuck with me. Believe me when I say this. I have the means and the fucking gonads to plunk down some cash and get my hands of every piece of personal information about that is available about you, via most information services of this sort. Do not think that I am above posting every god damned piece of personal information about you sir. Including, Address with an aerial shot of your house. Telephone numbers, Social security number, Credit Card Numbers, Driver license numbers, Vehicle Vin Numbers and anything else, that I think that the American people should know about it. Yes, I am that damned crazy. I have done this before, when I felt it necessary to do so, and I will do it again, if I think that it is needed.
I dislike blog fights; I really do. I have been in a few myself and something always happens that you regret later. However, I will use any all means, including lethal force, to defend myself, if need be. So, Johnson, don’t even think of Barking up my damn tree cracker boy.
Anyhow, here are the other folks blogging ol ‘Foster: Atlas Shrugs, The Jawa Report, American Power, Carol’s Closet, Jihad Watch, The Daley Gator, Whiskey Fire and TBogg
A little follow up on the Nazi collector, who just happens to be a military analyst for Human Rights Watch.
The New York Times reports:
A leading human rights group has suspended its senior military analyst following revelations that he is an avid collector of Nazi memorabilia.
The group, Human Rights Watch, had initially thrown its full support behind the analyst, Marc Garlasco, when the news of his hobby came out last week. On Monday night, the group shifted course and suspended him with pay, âpending an investigation,â said Carroll Bogert, the groupâs associate director.
âWe have questions about whether we have learned everything we need to know,â she said.
The suspension comes at a time of heightened tension between, on one side, the new Israeli government and its allies on the right, and the other side, human rights organizations that have been critical of Israel. In recent months, the government has pledged an aggressive approach toward the groups to discredit what they argue is bias and error.
Injected suddenly into that heated conflict, word of Mr. Garlascoâs interest seemed startling to many. The disclosure ricocheted across the Internet: Mr. Garlasco, an American, was not only a collector, he has written a book, more than 400 pages long, about Nazi-era medals. His hobby, inspired he said by a German grandfather conscripted into Hitlerâs army, was revealed on a pro-Israel blog, Mere Rhetoric Mere Rhetoric, which quoted his enthusiastic postings on collector sites under the pseudonym âFlak88â â including, âThat is so cool! The leather SS jacket makes my blood go cold it is so COOL!â
It was a Rorschach moment in the conflict between Israel and its critics. The revelations were, depending on who is talking, either incontrovertible proof of bias or an irrelevant smear.
…and what this guys response?
Ms. Bogert called the attacks on Mr. Garlasco and her group âa distraction from the real issue, which is the Israeli governmentâs behavior.â
Oh, Yes! It is Israel’s fault that your Military analyst is some Nazi Memorabilia collecting whack job? What a fucking stupid ass idiot!
The tool goes on to say:
Mr. Garlasco declined to be interviewed. But on Friday he posted an essay with the Huffington Post in which he called the Nazis âthe worst war criminals of all time,â explaining that he was simply a âmilitary geekâ whose interest grew out of his own familyâs history.
âIâve never hidden my hobby, because thereâs nothing shameful in it, however weird it might seem to those who arenât fascinated by military history,â he wrote. âPrecisely because itâs so obvious that the Nazis were evil, I never realized that other people, including friends and colleagues, might wonder why I care about these things.â
Oh Sure, who confronted, play dumb! What a fucking tool. đ
Yaron Ezrahi, a professor of political science at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, said he did not believe that Mr. Garlascoâs interest in memorabilia could support allegations of âpremeditated bias.â He said, however, that Human Rights Watchâs credibility might have been wounded because Mr. Garlascoâs hobby âhas armed the right-wing fanaticsâ who âwork day and night to demonize any individual or organization that raises questions about the military practices of Israel when they end up even with unintended civilian casualties.â
And that is one thing that seems to especially trouble Ms. Cobban, who said in an interview that the controversy played into the hands of the government and its helpers in the fight.
âThey have been given this deus ex machina gift,â she said, âabout the discovery of Garlasco and his out-of-hours hobby.â
Well, Ya think? What the fuck else would Jewish people and Israelis think about some asshole liberal human rights organization, who’s military analyst is some sort of fucking Nazi freak? If I were the prime minister or whatever the fuck Israel calls their political leader over there, I would want this ignorant asshole run out on a fucking rail!
If my Christian readers of this blog will please excuse me. I feel the overwhelming need to vent my spleen, please cover your eyes. It is late and I find myself in one of those “Andrew Dice Clay” frame of minds. —- Now can someone please answer me this one fucking simple question? Just why the fuck would someone, who most likely went to the 12’th grade, and went to College and got some sort of nice degree; then ended up getting some sort of cushy job like this, only the fuck himself squarely in the asshole, because some stupid fucking squirrel-humping stupid assed hobby like this?!?!?! Anyone?!??! I mean, seriously people; What the fuck is wrong with people’s fucking heads?
I mean, I am sitting here, a high school fucking drop out, I have A.D.H.D., unless God decides to suddenly heal me of this disability, I do not have a snowball’s chance in the devil’s hell of ever getting a job like this; and EVEN I KNOW that collecting shit like Nazi memorabilia, is not only stupid, but borderline mental patient material! On top of this, this jerk off has a fucking classy assed job of making sure that Israel is not breaking human rights laws. I mean, is this fucking mental midget serious? Holy.fucking.hell!!!!!! đŻ
I swear; If I could bottle up common sense and sell it as a carbonated soda, I would be a fucking Millionaire. As for this Douche-nozzle, he needs a fucking keg. I mean, Nazi collector, being a human rights watcher for Israel. What the fuck?!
Now this is new; I have never heard of this happening ever on the Senate floor.
The Video: (H/T The Hill)
The Story via The Hill:
Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) apologized Wednesday night for heckling President Barack Obama as a liar during the president’s speech to a joint session of Congress.
Wilson shouted to the president “you lie” after Obama said illegal immigrants would not benefit from health insurance coverage from the reform bill. Obama glared disgustedly in the direction the remark came from, as did Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Vice President Joe Biden.
The problem is; he was lying.
Of course, John McCain showed his true colors as a RINO:
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Democratic leaders immediately called on Wilson to apologize, and he did so in a statement that said heâd let his emotions get the better of him.
âThis evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the presidentâs remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill,â Wilson said.
âWhile I disagree with the presidentâs statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility.â
House Democratic Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) called Wilson’s outburst “embarrassing,” while McCain said it was “totally disrespectful” and that there was “no place for it in that setting or any other.”
McCain said Wilson âshould apologize for it immediately.â
Good ol’ Johnny McCain, always in lockstep with the Democrats. What more can be expect from someone who lied about his damn Vietnam experiences?
Of course, ol’ Shoeshine boy James Clyburn, has got to get his dig in:
Clyburn said South Carolina was already suffering because of Gov. Mark Sanford. “Now we got one of out Congresspeople to drive our reputation to a new low.”
Sanford has endured calls for his resignation after admitting to an affair.
Why is this all happening? Here’s why:
The incident was reminiscent of the town halls across the country that came to define Obama and the Democratic Party’s problems with healthcare during a tough August recess. Democratic senators and House members, including House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) were frequently heckled by constituents during the town halls, and the rowdiest events became staples of cable news.
Well, Golly gee… Let’s see, the President of the United States wants to essentially destroy one third of our economy; and he wonders why people, like Joe Wilson are angry?
But still there is a bit of historical context here:
Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) said he has never witnessed such a scene in 35 years of watching presidential addresses.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” Leahy said. “I talked to a number of my Republican friends on the way out who were mortified and angry that someone would do that.
“I’ve been in situations with presidents with whom I absolutely disagreed with,” said Leahy, who had a memorable exchange in 2004 on the Senate floor with Vice President Dick Cheney. After criticizing the vice president about his ties to Halliburton, Cheney used an obsenity with Leahy.
Still, Leahy said he hadn’t seen anything like a lawmaker calling the president a liar during an address to Congress.
âBut nobody â nobody â ever has done anything like that,â he said. âHe is the head of government for our country.â
He does have a point. It is a respect thing. Barack Obama is the President of the United States and some respect is due. Even if he is wrong.
The Politico has reported that Joe Wilson has called Rham Emmanuel and apologized. His Statement:
âThis evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the Presidentâs remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the Presidentâs statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.â
Which was the best thing for him to do. As the Democrats could and very much would try and censure the man. Just like they did Joe McCarthy who was working to prevent people like Barack Obama from ever getting to the White House in the first place.
Another startling report comes from Protein Wisdom, there are people; blacks mostly, that are threatening to kill Joe Wilson on Twitter. This is totally disgusting and this should be investigated by the F.B.I. —- I also received several reports that Joe Wilson’s office in D.C. or somewhere was firebombed or was going to be. I hope that this is not the case. One twitter that I read said something involving Joe Wilson’s kids. Folks, that is just not funny, at all. If you have a beef with the man, fine. But leave the family out of it.
AllahPundit quips:
Update: When do Obama and Reid apologize for their month of jackassery?
Good question. When do Democrats apologize for their actions and disrespect of our Military? Good luck with that! đ
….and boy is this one a humdinger too. Hold on to your hats. Because this one is totally off the rails.
Liberal Talk Show host Mike Malloy says that he believes that the Station Fire out in California, which was intentionally set, was set by right wingers. Unbelievable.
Here’s the Video: (H/T to Gateway Pundit) Note he even mentions Jim Hoft in the video and accuses someone who “works” for him of setting the fires! Time to lawyer up Jim!
Full Transcript: (H/T to the Radio Equalizer)
MIKE MALLOY (1:40): The incident commander, at the so-called Station Fire, the one that’s burned 150,000 acres, and is responsible for the deaths of two firefighters; the incident commander, Mike Dietrich, says this is an act of domestic terrorism.
Now, who is known for committing acts of terrorism in the United States? The last big one was Timothy McVeigh, who took the lives of 168 people, I think this is exactly what the report from Department of Homeland Security four to five months ago was warning against.
That these insane people, the neo-fascists on the right, the Republicans who have flipped out, the ones who are terrified that the President of the United States is going to address schoolchildren, the ones who are convinced that in an attempt to reign in health care costs to make it a little easier and more competitive is acting in the spirit of Adolf Hitler; the ones who carry guns; these crazy SOBs are the ones responsible, in my opinion, for the fire.
I would not be surprised to find out that someone had the copy of the protocols of the Elders of Zion in their back pocket; or a book of racist information about those damn Negroes in the other back pocket; or somebody who used to be a Klansman; or an NRA board member perhaps, yeah, that would make sense, wouldn’t it; or somebody who works for (US Senator) Jim Inhofe out in Oklahoma, or one of the tea baggers, or one of the birthers, or one of the deathers, or a whole group of them decided hey, it’s a perfect opportunity man, it is California, let’s go get all the fruits and nuts out there – let’s set a big ass fire.
I am pretty convinced that this act of domestic terrorism, that’s what it’s called by the station fire commander, Mike Dietrich, he said any act against the wild is domestic terrorism. Now who usually commits these acts of domestic terrorism? Bill Ayers? No! Some goddamn hippie? No!
Usually, it’s a crazed right-winger that has been pushed beyond the limit of their little tiny lemur brains by people like Glenn Beck, or Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity or crazy-eyes Michelle Malkin, they are the ones that push people that committ acts of terror!
ED SCHULTZ FILL-IN HOST (01:37): Are the Republicans so mentally ill that another Oklahoma City bombing is looming?
HOST (02:31): I’m scared now for my country, I am. People have gone so far off the rails that something very, very scary, I feel it coming and I’m trying to deny my feelings but I gotta share it with you right here on the Ed Schultz show.
HOST: He was so hateful of the federal government and I blame Newt Gingrich, Tom DeLay, the whole bunch of those guys who whipped up such hysteria about the government, the government (!!), that a couple of wackos took matters into their own hands, got violent and blew things up, and I feel the hysteria building now.
Unbelievable. Truly classless and utterly asinine. To accuse those, of whom you disagree with of murder? That is over the top and totally uncalled for. Mike Malloy should be fired from his job immediately.
Anyone that has Mike Malloy’s home address and telephone number, please contact me here on the blog, use the contact me button and do it via private e-mail. I will post his home address and telephone numbers with an shot of his house for all to see. Way I see it, you say stupid stuff like this; you forfeit your right to privacy.
Mike Malloy, you got this one coming, asshole. đĄ
This will be one of them posts where I am going to make some on the far right angry… I think.
Nearly three years after then-Congressman Mark Foley, R-FLA, saw his political career crumble following the revelation of his sexually explicit emails with underage congressional pages, he’s garnering the spotlight once again: as a radio talk show host.
Foley, who resigned after ABC News’ The Blotter broke the story before going to rehab in Arizona, is set to debut his radio show entitled “Inside the Mind of Mark Foley” on Sept. 22 on West Palm Beach radio station WSVU 960am.
“You’re going to be amazed,” said WSVU spokesman Joseph Raineri of Foley. Raineri said that “with everything that’s going on with healthcare and everybody questioning what’s happening in Washington, DC, we thought who better to explain what’s going on than Mark Foley.”
via Mark Foley to Become Talk Radio Host After Email Scandal – ABC News.
I mean, I know this is going to make me sound like a crass asshole; which I will readily admit to being. But I really just do not give two flips what this morally depraved faggot thinks about anything at all. Because more than likely it involves little boys and naked gay men; and I am just not really into that sort of thing.
Needless to say, I doubt very many people will be listening to this man’s show. I think he seriously needs to just disappear. As he was an embarrassment for the Republican Party.
What some people will not do, to stay in the spotlight. Oy. đ

Remember folks, these are Obama’s people.
Remember this, come 2012 and 2010.
This story is one of the one’s burning up the Meme charts. Problem is; it’s not the same guy.
Mere Rhetoric has the update:
ORIGINAL: Thanks to everyone who’s emailing about this in the context of the Marc Garlasco controversy, but I intentionally passed up mentioning the “Flak88” who posts regularly on Stormfront.org. I’m sure it’s not the Marc Garlasco Flak88 who posts on the medals forums.
The Stormfront Flak88 is the top hit for a bunch of searches on that handle, not least of which is “flak88 israel.” But the Stormfront Flak88 is a vulgar racist who complains about unclean Turks and then complains even more that they’re the only ones in Germany who sing nationalistic songs. He has challenges spelling, writing sentences, and conveying thoughts. He lists himself in Europe while the Marc Garlasco Flak88 puts New York in all his profiles. Same handle, different guys.
If it was proven that the Marc Garlasco Flak88 was the same as the Stormfront Flak88, I’d consider that strong evidence against my previous post. For all his faults real or imagined, the HRW Marc Garlasco is neither crude nor stupid. I would guess that he clings very, very tightly to the belief that he’s a history buff who happens, for purely familial reasons, to be utterly fascinated by the Nazis.
I think that’s one convenient bridge too far, and that his obsession colors the rest of what he does. I think he has very strong but tangled beliefs about Jews and the Jewish state that spring from a place that has nothing to do with level-headed analysis. But nothing I’ve read and no one I’ve spoken to leads me to believe he’s an unsophisticated racist like Stormfront Flak88.
It’s easy to get over-excited about these things, and collector Garlasco’s medals are insanely creepy. But we shouldn’t get distracted from the real scandal. This guy has spent the last few years producing untenable anti-Israel boilerplate for human rights organizations, UN committees, and international tribunals. Every time pro-Israel groups suggested that no one could make this many mistakes innocently they were told to stop “stifling legitimate criticism of Israel with implicit accusations of antisemitism.” Hmmmmmm.
UPDATE: Also: while it’s normally a good guess to associate “88” with the well-known hate symbol, in this case its a relatively innocuous reference to the 88mm caliber Flak gun.
Again: Garlasco’s not a vulgar racist. He’s simply not. He’s someone torn by sensibilities that make him wildly inappropriate as a choice for a Middle East investigator. How he got to that position and stayed in that position despite error after debunked error goes to the heart of HRW’s inappropriate obsession with and bias towards Israel. They couldn’t notice anything wrong with the way he approached the conflict because, well, that’s how they all approach the conflict. That’s the scandal – that despite having ideological inclinations and personal tics, he fit right in.
So, let’s draw back the cannons a bit. This fellow might be many things; but what he is accused of being here is just not true. This is why it pays to do very good research before firing off libels. Keeps your credibility in check and can also keep you out of court as well.
How come a high school dropout has to educate people; with degrees and such, to this fact? What Oddball times we live in! đ
Update: After having people pester the hell out of me for a week. I will give this update. Here is Garlasco’s response to the accusations:
NEW YORK – I’m used to taking heat for my job as a military analyst for Human Rights Watch, because our findings that this government or that armed group has violated the laws of war frequently provoke accusations that we’re biased or siding with the enemy.
Now I’ve achieved some blogosphere fame, not for the hours I’ve spent sifting through the detritus of war, visiting hospitals, interviewing victims and witnesses and soldiers, but for my hobby (unusual and disturbing to some, I realize) of collecting Second World War memorabilia associated with my German grandfather and my American great-uncle. I’m a military geek, with an abiding interest not only in the medals I collect but in the weapons that I study and the shrapnel I analyze. I think this makes me a better investigator and analyst. And to suggest it shows Nazi tendencies is defamatory nonsense, spread maliciously by people with an interest in trying to undermine Human Rights Watch’s reporting.
I work to expose war crimes and the Nazis were the worst war criminals of all time. But I’m now in the bizarre and painful situation of having to deny accusations that I’m a Nazi.
The Second World War turned my grandfather, who was conscripted and served on an anti-aircraft battery, into a staunch pacifist. He couldn’t understand why I went to work at the Pentagon, where I was on 9/11, of learning from his experiences – the horrific stories he told me late in life of seeing the bodies he shot down fall out of the sky. It wasn’t until he died that I really took his lessons to heart, and decided to use my military expertise to try to lessen the horrors of war.
So I left my government career and joined Human Rights Watch to use my expertise in weapons systems and targeting to push soldiers to protect civilians, to uphold the laws born in the ashes of the Second World War. My first investigation took me to the bomb craters in Iraq and brought me face-to-face with the survivors and other victims of the strikes I helped plan. It was a traumatic experience and provoked much soul-searching. I thought often of my grandfather.
As an American child, I learned that Germans were the bad guys; as I got to know my grandfather, I realized that not all Germans were Nazis. Because of him, and my great-uncle, a gunner on an American B-17 bomber, I developed an interest in German and American war memorabilia, and I wrote a long monograph, published last year, on German Second World War Air Force and anti-aircraft medals.
I’ve never hidden my hobby, because there’s nothing shameful in it, however weird it might seem to those who aren’t fascinated by military history. Precisely because it’s so obvious that the Nazis were evil, I never realized that other people, including friends and colleagues, might wonder why I care about these things. Thousands of military history buffs collect war paraphernalia because we want to learn from the past. But I should have realized that images of the Second World War German military are hurtful to many.
I deeply regret causing pain and offense with a handful of juvenile and tasteless postings I made on two websites that study Second World War artifacts (including American, British, German, Japanese and Russian items). Other comments there might seem strange and even distasteful, but they reflect the enthusiasm of the collector, such as gloating about getting my hands on an American pilot’s uniform.
I told my daughters, as I wrote in my book, that “the war was horrible and cruel, that Germany lost and for that we should be thankful.” I meant what I wrote. And because of the intense suffering during the Second World War and the genocidal campaign against the Jewish people, I spend my days doing what I can to ensure that such horrors are never allowed to happen again.
I am not playing any of the fucking idiotic games of “Why would you believe him, he’s a lefty!” Okay? You wanna play that bullshit, fine; do it elsewhere. Because I do not play that shit here. đĄ I am more the willing to take this man’s word for it. He’s a collector and that’s it. Subject fucking closed.
I just find it quite interesting, that the same group of people on the right; that condemn identity politics on the left; partake in the same sort of behavior themselves — when it comes to the Jews and the fucking Holocaust. Yes, it happened, Yes, it was horrible. Does this mean that I have to kiss the fucking ass of every fucking Jew alive? I think not.
My point is, get off this guys ass, okay? We’ve got more important battles to fight. This is not one we should be bothered with.
This is too rich….:
Capitalism is evil. That is the conclusion U.S. documentary maker Michael Moore comes to in his latest movie “Capitalism: A Love Story,” which premieres at the Venice film festival Sunday.
Blending his trademark humor with tragic individual stories, archive footage and publicity stunts, the 55-year-old launches an all out attack on the capitalist system, arguing that it benefits the rich and condemns millions to poverty.
“Capitalism is an evil, and you cannot regulate evil,” the two-hour movie concludes.
“You have to eliminate it and replace it with something that is good for all people and that something is democracy.”
via Capitalism is evil, says new Michael Moore film | Lifestyle | Reuters.
Okay, so why isn’t sir-chubby-alot just giving his movies away?
Because he would not make any money on them. Thus Capitalism.
Just more of the “For me, but not for thee” mentality of the far-socialist left.
Typical, so typical. đ

I mean I have seen some serious shit in my my days here on this earth. Me being from Southwest Detroit and all. But this stuff here; takes the farking cake bad!
Check out these videos:
Here’s the first one, Van Jones basically calling George W. Bush a oil crack head….or something. (H/T HotAir)
The basically calling Middle American White kids killers and crazy or something…: (H/T HotAir)
Here he is in some sort of whacked out Music recording accusing White people of just every damn thing under the sun. (H/T HotAir)
Here’s Van Jones glorifying the doctrine of Communism:
Here some more kicker information on this whack job idiot. This dude supported Cop-Killer Death row inmate Mumia Abu Jamal: (H/T HotAir)
More than 150 demonstrators marched from 14th Street and Broadway to the Oakland Federal Building to demand that the Justice Department re-open its corruption investigation of the Philadelphia Police Department.
Supporters of Mumia Abu-Jamal, a death row inmate convicted for the 1981 shooting death of a Philadelphia police officer, said the protest was called after the Supreme Court on Monday rejected claims that Abu-Jamal, a former radio journalist and Black Panther, did not receive a fair trial.
âWe knew there was another event going on, but the timing of the court decision is what dictated when the protest was held,â said Van Jones, a San Francisco civil rights lawyer who helped coordinate the protest march.
Jones said about 15 protesters occupied the rotunda at the Federal Building on Clay Street in an act of civil disobedience with the hope they would be arrested.
Okay, I am just going to say this and if pisses people off; tough. This dude was not vetted, and was basically given this damn job; because he was black. Point.farking.blank. If this dude was white and he had said the moral equivalent, about black people; what this guy said about Whites, This dude would have been out of a job, quicker than a New York minute. Â But, because he is a black man and is in tight with Bambi, he still has a job and still is working for the White House. That is not racist, that my friends, is reality!
So, what does the Socialist left do, when they are beginning to feel the heat, because of Van Jones? They do the oldest trick in the book.
You can see a perfect example of that, by clicking right here. They are now accusing Glenn Beck and the right of assembling a “Lynch Mob” against Van Jones. Go look, it is their words, not mine.
The part that is totally wild is this; Obama has painted himself into quite the corner on this one. Because if Obama cuts this guy loose. The far African-American left is going to turn on him, like a rabid dog. Not to mention the fact, that if Obama and Congress drops the Health-care Bill or passes it without the public option. The far left is really going to turn on him. However, I do not think it will get a chance to pass, because there have already been rumblings that indicate that if the bill has not public option, it will get no support at all. If this happens, Obama’s support among the progressives will erode and I do mean badly.
Either way, this is not going end will for the President. It is going to get much uglier, before it gets any prettier. It like watching a train wreak fixing to happen. You want to look, but you feel horrible about doing so….. and this Amtrak is about to hit the damn wall —- Hard.

Patrick Ruffini lamenting that the Conservative movement is not being taken seriously by anyone, but maybe themselves laments:
Over the last few days, Jon Henke has laid out the case for the Right more strongly disavowing outfits like WorldNetDaily that actively peddle Birther nonsense. To the extent the mainstream Right has weighed in, it has been to urge Jon to ignore WND and move on, in the interests avoiding an intra-movement civil war. Some have even tried to subtly distance Jon from the conservative movement, saying his views don’t represent those of most conservatives. Many on the Right have made the calculation that however distasteful their views, a public fight with the Birthers just isn’t worth it.
As a fiscal and social conservative, I happen to think Jon is completely in the right here, both substantively and strategically. Don’t raise the canard that we ought to be attacking Democrats first. Conservatives are entirely within their rights to have public debates over who will publicly represent them, and who will be allowed to affiliate with the conservative movement.
The Birthers are the latest in a long line of paranoid conspiracy believers of the left and right who happen to attach themselves to notions that simply are not true. Descended from the 9/11 Truthers, the LaRouchies, the North American Union buffs, and way back when, the John Birch Society, the Birthers are hardly a new breed in American politics.
Each and every time they have appeared, mainstream conservatives from William F. Buckley to Ronald Reagan have risen to reject these influences — and I expect that will be the case once again here.
But there is another subtext that makes Jon’s appeal more urgent. As a pretty down-the-line conservative, I don’t believe I am alone in noting with disappointment the trivialization, excessive sloganeering, and pettiness that has overtaken the movement of late. In “The Joe the Plumberization of the GOP,” I argued that conservatives have grown too comfortable with wearing scorn as a badge of honor, content to play sarcastic second fiddle to the dominant culture of academia and Hollywood with second-rate knock-off institutions. A side effect of this has been a tendency to accept conspiracy nuts as a slightly cranky edge case within the broad continuum of conservatism, rather than as a threat to the movement itself.
Via Can We Have Buckley Back? | The Next Right.
However, the real reasons that the Conservative movement is in the shape that it is in, is found right in the comments section of “The Next Right”
First there’s this:
I don’t know if you consider them elites, but I did—and I suspect many Republicans did as well.
Peggy Noonan
David Brooks
David Frum,
And, last but certainly not least, Kathleen Parker.
At a time when we were trying to win the 2008 elections, this crew was bashing Sarah Palin full-time. The time for bashing had past; the time for banding together to win an election was at hand. And what did this crew of elites do? Elites, thank you very little. You played no small part in the fact that we now have an administration that has abandoned our ally Honduras and is spending our grandchildren into poverty.
The real way Bill Buckley saved conservatism was by inspiring Ronald Reagan, Tommy Thompson, John Engler, Newt Gingrich and others to enter the political world. You know—the place where we pick people that actually MAKE LAWS, instead of writing witty op-eds and appearing on Hardball.
Recently, we watched another conservative elite, Charles Krauthammer, tell the world that Sarah Palin was unfit to engage in the healthcare debate…at the same time that her “death panels” charge helped sway the tone of debate against Obamacare.
Sorry, but I’m less than impressed with GOP elites. They stabbed us in the back in 2008. Fool me once..
….and then, there is this:
We didn’t abandon you during the election, you abandoned us by nominating a weak liberal republican and a semi-retarded christian fundy. I’m not going to change my views to “fit in” with the GOP if that’s the way they want to represent me.
During 2008, I was bashing McCain and palin ( as well as Obongo ). I will continue to bash these type republicans until they get out of my party.
I would say that both of these are basically correct. Not to mention electing and then reelecting a President who’s Wilsonian foreign policy forced him to invade a Country that had zero to do with 9/11. That is why McCain was not elected and, too, because black people actually voted in this election. Not say that there is anything wrong with that fact; just making a point. Also, Obama’s campaign was just better ran and his message more clear. John McCain was too damn busy suspending his campaign to look like a hero. Which actually made him look like an idiot. Hence the reason he lost also.
I could go on and on. However, I think you know what I mean.
Update: Robert Stacey McCain basically agrees with me about WND and the Birthers. Now McCain and Palin are another story. He loves that feckless Woman. I, on the other hand, think that she is an idiot.
Update #2: Around the Sphere has a round up on the subject, all the while ignoring me.
First the Video:
The Story Via MyFox Boston:
Growing up in Massachusetts, I know first-hand about the Kennedy legacy and appreciate what the family means to this state… in good times and bad. Even so, it has been amazing to see ALL the people who have turned out to pay their respects to Senator Kennedy⌠lining the streets of Boston for the procession⌠standing in line for hours to walk past his casket. Given the outpouring, it really was quite a shock to see one of the Kennedys flipping someone the bird during the procession for Senator Kennedy in Boston on Thursday.
Our photographer just happened to be focused on the limo carrying the young Kennedy woman right when she made the obscene gesture near Fanueil Hall. The woman in question appears to be 21 year old Rose Schlossberg, the daughter of Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and Edwin Schlossberg and granddaughter of former president John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
Our photographer was not close enough to know what happened to prompt Rose to do this, but it looks like she was responding to someone in the crowd. Who knows what rude comment she might have heard? In the video you can see someone nudge her right after it happens. Funerals are stressful for every family. When you live under the glare of the spotlight like the Kennedys, perhaps this funeral is even more stressful. But what was JFKâs granddaughter thinking? Cameras are always rolling when the Kennedys are around, especially when thereâs a procession for Great Uncle Ted and tens of thousands of people turn out. What do you think? Inappropriate gesture on a solemn day or no big deal?
Yes it was inappropriate and classless. But, then again, are not all Democrats? đ
…..and they said that this President would be post-racial… I call BS!

As I wrote on here last night my issues with Ted Kennedy were never personal, only of a political and policy nature. My postings always reflected that; I never took shots at him personally. I simply called him out, when I felt he was being dishonest. Of course, I did it in my traditionally condescending manner. Hey, I am a Conservative Blogger; condescension and being a general asshole are expected. But, I never made it personal. I have towards others in the past and I have deeply regretted it. This is why I follow a rule of conduct; attack the policy, not the person, mock gently, but know the line and never cross it.
Andrew Breitbart crossed it early Wednesday morning, when the news of Ted Kennedy’s passing hit. You can view and sampling of his rather idiotic and obnoxious nonsense by going Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, and Here. In fact, you can view this obnoxious idiot’s account by hovering over this link here.
Now some of you might be shocked and amazed that I would come out and condemn someone like Andrew for saying stuff like this. Well, allow me to explain as to why. I believe in freedom of speech; I really do. But, I also believe in responsibility of that freedom as well. Now, do I believe that the so-called “Thought Police” should scoop up Mr. BreitBart and send him off to a reeducation camp or something silly like that? Of course not. As a libertarian-minded Conservative; I believe in a free market approach to freedom of speech. I believe in letting the free market decide if it wants to be associated with obnoxious speech. If Andrew Breitbart wants to speak his mind about Ted Kennedy; fine, let him do so. But if someone is offended by his speech, they have the absolute right to lodge a complaint to Mr. Breitbart’s advertisers and inform them, that they do not intend to purchase their products, if they continue to sponsor this man’s website.
I believe it would be also fair to point out, that Mr. Breitbart did not use his website to express his opinion of Kennedy. He used the social network Twitter. Which is a very public service, unless you elect to make your updates private. Something that no one hardly ever does. But then again, not many people go around acting foolish like this either.
Again, In closing, I believe that Mr. BreitBart has the right to say what he wishes. That is the core ideal of freedom; however, Mr. Breitbart should be prepared to handle the criticism and the consequences, including the loss of advertisers; for expressing his opinions.
This is unreal.
The Libya deal was vintage neoconservatism in action â pretending to get rid of non-existent WMD so that the oil money could flow. And look what has come of it.
Well, we all know that the word Neo-Conservative or Neo-Conservatism basically is another word for the word Jew.
So, according to this Nitwit. It was the JEWS fault! đ
…and they wonder why The American Conservative is about to go under as a publication? That could not happen too fast, if you ask me.
Such Bigotry, Such Hate, Such fools. đ
This is unbelievable.
This comes via The American Spectator:
The Obama White House is behind a cynical, coldly calculated political effort to erase the meaning of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks from the American psyche and convert Sept. 11 into a day of leftist celebration and statist idolatry.
This effort to reshape the American psyche has nothing to do with healing the nation and everything to do with easing the nation along in the ongoing radical transformation of America that President Obama promised during last yearâs election campaign. The president signed into law a measure in April that designated Sept. 11 as a National Day of Service, but itâs not likely many lawmakers thought this meant that day was going to be turned into a celebration of ethanol, carbon emission controls, and radical community organizing.
The plan is to turn a âday of fearâ that helps Republicans into a day of activism called the National Day of Service that helps the left. In other words, nihilistic liberals are planning to drain 9/11 of all meaning.
A coalition including the unsavory left-wing pressure group Color of Change and about 60 far-left, environmentalist, labor, and corporate shakedown groups participated in the call. Groups on the call included: ACORN, AFL-CIO, Apollo Alliance, Community Action Partnership, Deep South Center for Environmental Justice, 80 Million Strong for Young American Jobs, Friends of the Earth, Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, Mobilize.org, National Black Police Association, National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, National Council of Negro Women, National Wildlife Federation, RainbowPUSH Coalition, Urban League, and Young Democrats of America.
Of course, the annual commemoration of the 2001 terrorist attacks belongs to the entire nation, but President Obama and the activist left donât see it that way. They view the nationwide remembrance of the murder of 3,000 Americans by Islamic totalitarians as an obstacle to winning over the hearts and minds of the American people.
Unreal, just farking unreal. The left will stop at nothing to mar the Memory of those who were killed at the hands of terrorists. Maybe it is because the left sympathizes with terrorists.
Be sure an sign up for the 2,996 project. I have. My memorial will post on September 11’th. I finished it a few weeks ago, the post is set to drop on September 11’th at 7:00a.m. EST. It will be a barn burner, I assure you on that. We must, as Conservatives; be the one’s to keep the real meaning of September 11’th alive. Do not allow the Liberals to steal this one from America.

What follows is a Story in the New York Times about the Housing Crises and the effect that it is having in a small neighborhood in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California.
I could quite a great deal of this, but I will just outline it for you. It is basically a sob story of how people bought houses and went over their heads, getting equity out and then the Market crashed and they were left without their homes. Boo Hoo. đ How could I be so mean, nasty and have such a cold heart, you ask?
Because of this part of the story:
Via NYT:
Equity soon became irresistible.
Ms. Sanchez and Mr. Winkler, the couple with two daughters, wanted a new car. So they pulled $15,000 out of the house. Mr. Godfrey and Ms. Saldamando, the schoolteachers, dipped into their equity to landscape their back yard. Mr. Blanco, the electrician, used it to invest in a lot in the desert, and Mr. Soto, the landscaper, picked up a rental home in the Central Valley, an agricultural area northwest of here.
The blockâs first residents, Ms Hernandez and her husband, bought a shiny commercial truck, with dreams of expanding his trucking business. He pulled money out of the house nearly annually. And the couple from South Los Angeles used their house â bought for $152,500 in 1997 â as a veritable cash machine, refinancing three times before selling it in 2006 for $440,000.
But one by one, the strings began to come apart.
The new buyer of the Los Angeles coupleâs home was quickly in over his head; he lost the house in less than a year, with $375,273 still owed.
Title records show that Ms. Hernandez and her husband bought their home in 1997 for $123,000, using nearly 100 percent borrowed money. They refinanced first in 2003, at 11.1 percent interest on $129,000. The equity loans kept coming: the balance rose to $230,000 in 2004; $323,00 in 2005; $374,000 in 2006; then, finally, $415,000, at 8.12 percent, in 2007.
âFor a while things were going really, really good,â Ms. Hernandez said. âThen the truck broke down, and things went down from there. One day I came home and there was a note on the door that said call this number.â
It was only then, Ms. Hernandez said, that her husband told her about the equity loans and that âwe were in foreclosure and needed to get out.â Last fall, the bank offered them $1,000 to leave the house quietly.
âI was a nervous wreck,â she said, her shoulders tensing with the memory. She tried to shield her children, ages 18, 16 and 14, from the news. âI would pray every night and drive around every day looking for something new.â
Moving day came in October, and friends on the block stood by as Ms. Hernandez carefully pulled the last bags out of the house and cleaned up â her home was known for being spotless â before moving to a rental house a few miles away.
âI mopped, I swept, I wiped down the counters,â Ms. Hernandez said. âIt was my home. I was still proud of it.â
Ms. Hernandezâs struggles quickly reverberated around Beth Court. If the blockâs longest-term residents could lose their home, who might be next?
âI thought, âOh my God, her husband is always working,â â said Mr. Blanco, now unemployed. âI felt scared. I figured heâs working and Iâm not working, so maybe weâre going to lose our house, too.â
Now am I supposed to pity these people? I do not think so. These people bought houses with money that they did not have, then on top of that, they kept taking equity out of their houses to buy stuff with; again with money that they did not even have. So, as far as I am concerned, they got what was coming to them. You do not buy products with money that you do not even have, and expect me to pity you. Of course, the best thing that the stupid liberals can say, is that this is all Bush’s fault. Which is complete bullcrap, because it was Bill Clinton’s idea of floating high risk loans to those who would not be able to normally afford them, is what caused this damned mess in the first place. Basically this caused an artificial inflation of the housing market. All of this was built around a faulty assumption that the economy was going to be okay and never crash. Well, it did, due to the toxic mortgages that Bill Clinton just had to have; and these people, who bought houses with money that they did not have, ended up losing them. Two words for them; Tough Shit. That what they get for buying a house with money that they did not have, and then on top of that getting equity out; which of course, meant a higher house note. Too bad, so sad, you do the stupid, you pay for it.
Not only this, but now, they are bitter. Hey, I thought only we Conservatives were the bitter ones??
Check out this hilarious quote:
âWelcome, and congrats on your house,â she said in Spanish as she made her way home.
âI feel happy for him,â Ms. Sanchez said later.
One person who is not happy is Ms. Hernandez, who still visits her best friend and her former neighborhood.
âShe told me she just hated to see the new people at her house,â Ms. Sanchez wrote in a recent e-mail message.
Lessons Learned
As the foreclosure crisis continues to touch Beth Court, there are those who feel blessed for what is left and for what has been learned, others who feel victimized and bitter, and those who feel that they failed the system and vice versa, but who also believe that misfortune is transitory.
The newcomers â the Schneiders, the Cortezes and the Giulianis â have sympathy for those who lost their homes, but feel they have been rewarded for saving, waiting and buying in a conventional manner. The falling home prices were âthe answer to our prayers,â Ms. Giuliani said. âWe would not have been able to get a house this size elsewhere.â
Hey Lady, here is your solution to your problem:

Here is the solution to the Houses Crisis!
Stupid liberal morons, act foolishly and then want me to pity them. Not on your best day!

Conservatives have strenuously denied that there is any anti-Semitism on display by anti-health reform protesters at town hall meetings nationwide â despite all the evidence to the contrary. Last week, Las Vegas radio station KDWN AM720 sponsored a âcontentiousâ town hall, emceed by conservative morning show host Heidi Harris. At the event, local news stations were interviewing an Israeli man who was praising the âfantasticâ ânational health careâ in Israel. During his remarks, a woman yelled out, âHeil Hitler!â The man stopped, became visibly upset, and exclaimed, âDid you hear this? She say to a Jew, âHeil Hitlerâ! Hear? Iâm a Jew! Youâre telling me, âHeil Hitlerâ? Shame of you!â After he angrily confronts her, the woman mocks him by making a crying sound to imply he is a whining baby.
Let me just say that as a Conservative; that this stupid bitch does not speak for me. While I am opposed to any sort of Government ran, funded or sponsored healthcare. This sort of activity is not inline with any sort of Conservative thought or doctrine. I tend to believe that this woman was a plant by a liberal organization to discredit the opposition.
Again, this woman does NOT speak for this Conservative, at all.

This turkey got what was coming to him:
There were signs comparing President Barack Obama to a Nazi and showing him with an Adolf Hitler-style mustache, but federal officials believe another sign referencing the president and his family went too far.
A man who was holding a sign reading “Death to Obama” Wednesday outside a town hall meeting on health care reform in Hagerstown, Md., has been turned over to the Secret Service.
Washington County Sheriff’s Capt. Peter Lazich said the sign also read, “Death to Michelle and her two stupid kids.”
Lazich said U.S. Secret Service agents took the unidentified 51-year-old man into custody Wednesday afternoon after deputies detained him near the entrance to Hagerstown Community College.

I am not one normally to rejoice over someones misfortune. But this is an notable exception. This moronic tool is right where he should be; cooling his heels in a jail cell. This goes well beyond politics, it just boils down to being stupid. I am not a fan of the socialized health-care, but ripping up people signs and wishing death on the President is just plain asinine.
As if this meatball isn’t enough there’s some guy in stand off with police out an LA; because he made threats against the President. You can watch that live event unfold here. (and listen to the annoying radio linking noise too!) Feed is now down.

âThe new Evangelical Left, like the old Social Gospel Religious Left of decades ago, always materialistically equates Big Government and centralized control with the Kingdom of God. They learned no lessons from the 20th century, when Big Government again and again wreaked destruction and was often the antithesis of Christian teachings. For the Religious Left, Obamacare is just one more opportunity for coercion and eradication of private initiative.
âRevealingly, the Religious Left seems uninterested in lowering doctorsâ expenses by limiting lawsuit abuse or providing tax credits towards private coverage. Such proposals distract from the larger agenda of expanding state power.
âWhy do Religious Left activists always worship at the altar of the Big Government? More traditional religious believers, understanding human nature, look to other altars.â
This comes via FreedomWorks:
Washington, DC â Today, FreedomWorks released an apology to leftist political organizations, including MoveOn.org, the Democratic National Committee, the AFL-CIO, and ACORN for our apparent ignorance of the fine art of political discourse.
FreedomWorksâ August Recess Call to Action encouraged grassroots citizens to attend Congressional town hall meetings and listening sessions.  We asked everyone to voice their opinions and communicate their opposition to the Presidentâs proposed hostile takeover of the American health care system.  Apparently, the very act of showing up and having an opinion is, in effect, to act like a âthug.â Opposing President Obamaâs policy agenda on health care is, in and of itself, unacceptable, and has no place in our democracy.  Bottom line: itâs âdisgusting,â according to our friends on the left.
We didnât know this. Â Evidently, we also didnât know best practices in a respectful, dignified policy debate, but our leftist friends were kind enough to âtake FreedomWorks to schoolâ, so to speak.
Specifically, âschoolâ included phone call blitzes from MoveOn.org and the AFL-CIO that jammed FreedomWorks phone lines and filled up staff voice mail boxes. Â Callersâ consistently used profanity, vulgarity, ever-popular references to âNazisâ and âbrown-shirters,â racial slurs targeting an African-American staffer, and even veiled threats of violence and bodily harm.
Now we know how an intelligent political debate unfolds. Â Thank You!

âYou are almost as bad as the communists⌠Youâre from out of the country, obviously.â
âYour Brownshirt tactics are unacceptable, un-American.â
Amazing…. when they cannot win the debate; this is what happens. Threats, Insults, Foul Language. I smell desperation.
This must be what the White House meant by push back harder. More of Obama’s Communist Community organizing
From the ultra-Liberal Detroit Free Press‘s Mitch Albom:
I have no illusions about protesters at the recent town hall meetings on health care.
Mitch Albom
Some are fueled by angry conservative groups. Some are hopped up on radio hosts’ rants and ravings. Some are Barack Obama haters. Some use one piece of wrong information to smear an entire event.
And some just think the whole idea of government health care stinks.
But all of them — all of them — have the right to be there, and the right to their point of view. Liberal-minded thinkers who regularly speak up for the poor and underprivileged cannot suddenly yank the rug when it comes to free speech for others.
No matter what I think of national health care — no matter what you think, either — it is an issue that affects everyone, and everyone should have the same right to talk, argue or shout about it.
The fact that some are doing so in an impolite, abrasive way is unfortunate.
[…]
Now, I know some of these protesters are sent by dubiously named groups like Americans
for Prosperity, which sounds harmless enough, until you check and see the group’s leader once organized for Enron and worked with disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
I know these groups often hand out instructions on how to be disruptive.
And I know some people just want to see Obama — and any of his plans — fail.
But that’s what America is. That’s what town halls are for. And let’s be honest, politicians try to orchestrate these events as much as protesters do. The only problem I have is when people won’t let others speak or come only to disrupt. That’s not right. That’s not democracy.
But the rest is. If you feel other people are ill-informed, take the time to try to correct them. If you feel others are shouting to bring down a cause, shout to bring it up.
But I would rather live in a place where people questioned what their government proposed rather than swallowing it blindly — especially a government whose members guard our tax money while taking bribes, shout morality and then get caught with their pants down, or lecture businessmen about private planes and then order a bunch for themselves.
What did Democrats expect with a bill like this? Roses and hosannas? Many who supported Obama’s campaign promises of health care for everyone wouldn’t have done so if they read how he now plans to pay for and administer it.
It may not be pretty, but shouting and confrontations are part of this country. They have been from the start. More manners would be better. But silence would be worse.
Listening to this idiot yowl on about this; is like listening to Aleister Crowley say that Jesus Christ is Lord. You know the words coming out of his mouth, but you know damn well that the person does not mean a damn word of it. Albom goes on to very lamely attempt to paint a parallel between these Townhalls and the Anti-War Demonstrations of the Vietnam era. Which in itself is an idiotic comparison. The difference is that those war protests were done by a bunch of America-hating assholes, who wanted to see us lose and come home defeated. For what it is worth Mitch; Vietnam was started by a Democrat, The man who was the driving force and architect behind Vietnam was a liberal Democrat — something that that he went to his grave regretting. Also, want to know which party ended Vietnam?? It was the Republicans! After that idiot liberal broadcaster Walter Cronkite lost it for us, there was nothing more we could do! Anyhow, these townhall protests are being put on by those who happen to give two shits about our Country and the direction that it is headed in; people like me and every other damned person that either shows up at them and happens to Blog about them.
Further more, the problem here is Mitch Albom is a nothing more than an opportunist. This guy used to bash Bush and from what I have read, he used to trash Reagan as well. So, while on the surface, he comes off as someone who is attempting to defend the America people’s right to free speech. In reality Albom is really trying to mock those who really care about this Country. So, nice try Mitch, but you should really stick to what you know —- Sports.
