Michelle Malkin Promotes Her Book on Hannity

I will be the first to admit; I have not always agreed with Michelle Malkin in the past. But I am totally in agreement with her on the Obama Administration and on Matters of the Military; and most importantly on the subject of the war on terror.

Michelle has released a new book on the Obama Administration. It is called:

michellemalkinbook

Here the video of Michelle on Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News Channel: (H/T and Thanks to the guys at HotAir.com)

I might even buy me a copy of this book, but really, I have blogged about most of it; so, for me, it would be a huge review. Big Grin

You can get Michelle Malkin’s Book right here or by clicking the link on the picture of the book above:

FORE! Obama Plays Golf again… Media Swoons..

Seriously, why does the media care about this?

President Obama has become quite the golf fanatic since he began his presidency.

The commander in chief is out on the links again today, playing a round at Andrews Air obama golfingForce Base. This is the 10th time in as many weeks that Obama has found time to squeeze in some golf (all weekends, except for one Monday.)

In fact, the White House press corps has come up with a nickname to refer to the President’s golfing habits: “The First Duffer,” as they refer to him in pool reports when he’s hitting the links.

Today, Obama is playing with White House aides Ben Finkenbinder and Marvin Nicholson, as well as David Katz, the official photographer for his 2008 campaign.

In the past, Obama has played with U.S Trade Representative Ronk Kirk, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, and personal aide Reggie Love, among others.

via The Hill’s Blog Briefing Room » Obama plays golf….again.

You know, I hate to sound like such an a-hole, especially this early in the morning and all.  But can anyone tell me why the media gives two shits about the President playing a game of golf? I mean, seriously! Who cares!?!?! I really do not and I am almost positive the American people really do not care either. Yeah, I know the media savaged Bush for doing it and they were right to. That is because Bush was playing golf, while people were fucking dying in Iraq and I believe during Katrina too. So, it was justified, I felt. But with President Obama, it is different. Because nothing major is happening, it is more like silly fawning over a new boyfriend or something. It is, I feel, on the verge of getting quite old.

When I say nothing major is happening; what I am saying is this. The Iraq war is about wound down, Afghanistan is not going nearly as bad as Iraq. The whole background picture is different. All I am saying folks, is that the media needs to get out of this damned fawning mode and get back to serious reporting.

Video: Henry Gates Jr. goes on N-Word Tirad

The Video:

A video has surfaced on YouTube of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. delivering a church speech in which he uses the N-word, rails against “racist historically white institutions in America” and accuses Newt Gingrich of attempting to block blacks from entering the middle class.

Gates became a lightning rod of racial controversy when President Obama defended the professor handcuffed in his home last week by police in Cambridge, Mass.

“We are trying to end what we call the one n-gger syndrome – you know, this place ain’t big enough for more than one of us,” said Gates in the video, which was filmed in 1999 in the All Souls Church in Washington, D.C.

via WorldNetDaily: Shock video: Professor Gates goes on N-word rant.

Very interesting. “Racism for me, but not for thee.”

Typical, So very typical for African-Americans and for Liberals. Notice how he goes off on Clarence Thomas?

Update: HotAirPundit has more on the Story:

“Without affirmative action we would have never been able to integrate racist historically white institutions in American society”

“I taught at Duke for one long painful year, I don’t even like the airplane to flyover North Carolina…Because of racism I never would have been allowed to compete with white boys and white girls”

The Obama White House Tries to Bully the Congressional Budget Office House

This is more of that Far-Left Liberal Politics at work:

Via CNN:

The White House has criticized the Congressional Budget Office’s findings that the Obama administration’s proposal to control Medicare costs would yield a moderate savings of $2 billion over the next decade.

White House Budget Director Peter Orszag said the CBO’s analysis — which it relayed to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer on Saturday — could feed a perception of the office’s bias toward “exaggerating costs and underestimating savings.”

“The point of the proposal … was never to generate savings over the next decade,” Orszag said in a letter posted on Saturday.

“Instead the goal is to provide a mechanism for improving quality of care for beneficiaries and reducing costs over the long term.”

CBO Director Doug Elmendorf’s letter to Hoyer on Saturday was in response to the Senate Majority Leader’s request for analysis on “possible approaches for giving the President broad authority to make changes in the Medicare program,” Elmendorf wrote.

The Obama administration is touting a proposal to give a medical advisory council the power to help decide the scope of coverage that would be eligible for reimbursement under Medicare.

Administration officials say the proposed “Independent Medicare Advisory Council” would both improve health care quality and control costs. Some health care industry groups object to the proposal, saying such a council would not be qualified to make those judgments.

The CBO’s review of the proposal found that “the probability is high that no savings would be realized … but there is also a chance that substantial savings might be realized,” Elmendorf wrote.

“Looking beyond the 10-year-budget window, CBO expects that this proposal would generate larger but still modest savings on the same probabilistic basis.”

Orszag, a former director of the CBO, pointed out that “it is very rare for CBO to conclude that a specific legislative proposal would generate significant long-term savings so it is noteworthy that, with some modifications, CBO reached such a conclusion with regard to the IMAC (Independent Medicare Advisory Council concept.”

But he also criticized Elmendorf’s findings.

“As a former CBO director, I can attest that CBO is sometimes accused of a bias toward exaggerating costs and underestimating savings. Unfortunately, parts of today’s analysis from CBO could feed that perception,” Orszag said.

“In providing a quantitative estimate of long-term effects without any analytical basis for doing so, CBO seems to have overstepped.”

Just another attack from a worried White House, who wants their agenda passed, no matter the cost to the people or to our Nation.

Some Reactions from the Conservative Blogosphere:

Keith Hennessey:

With this letter CBO has killed the President’s IMAC proposal.  It almost certainly would have died even without CBO’s letter.  The proposal would have transferred an enormous amount of power from Congress to the Executive Branch.  Turf-conscious Congressional committee chairmen would have fought it to protect their power base.  Medicare provider interest groups (hospitals, doctors) were starting to lobby against it.  They prefer Congress making these decisions because they’re easier to lobby and influence.

The only chance IMAC had was if CBO had said it would save gobs of money, allowing House leaders simultaneously to make Blue Dogs happy for being fiscally responsible, and to remove from their bill other, more politically painful, spending cuts or tax increases.  IMAC was drafted so weakly that it became a budget gimmick.

[….]

Yes, the Administration could submit a fundamentally different proposal and call it a “tweak” of their existing one.  To achieve the stated goals of bending the government health cost curve down and reducing future deficits, such a proposal would need to actually cut spending in an enforcable and unavoidable way.  If they want to throw in a new council to shuffle money around within the mandated lower levels, that’s a separable question.  The President’s advisors know, however, that a proposal like this with real teeth would never get off the ground in Congress.  That’s too bad, because we desperately need the long-term deficit reduction.

The death of IMAC is a black eye for the Administration and another step backward for the pending health care reform bills.  This result was both predictable and avoidable.

Ed Morrissey:

In a Hot Air exclusive, I contacted Chuck Blahous of the Hudson Institute, formerly the deputy director of George Bush’s National Economic Council about the open and aggressive attack on the CBO from Orszag and the White House.  Blahous finds it unseemly:

“It’s routine for OMB and CBO to have scoring differences. It’s also routine for the two agencies to separately acknowledge, explain and quantify them. What’s not routine is for each to overtly criticize the other. This is a bad road to go down in any case, but even more so because OMB probably has the glass house here. Institutionally, they’re just different; CBO is purely a referee, while OMB is part referee, part player because they’re part of the President’s policy development team. Moreover, OMB’s February budget presentation attracted a lot of justified criticism for its economic assumptions and for moving various deficit-expanding policies into the budget baseline. Furthermore, most of the claims about long-term cost savings from health care reform have been purely speculative, with no data from the actuaries to back them up. Still, I don’t expect CBO to hit back and to criticize OMB scoring, nor should they. Hopefully folks will walk back and cooler heads will prevail.”

Orszag has been an embarrassment as OMB director, and now he’s becoming dangerous to the separation of powers between the branches of government. Either Obama should put Orszag on a leash, or get rid of him immediately — and find a real budget director, not just a liberal-agenda hack.

Steve Gilbert over at Sweetness and Light:

It’s hard to puzzle it out from this article, but this is an extension of Obama’s efforts to wrest control of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements away from Congress so that he can call the shots.

And, despite what Mr. Orszag now claims, that was and is touted as a way to bring about tremendous savings.

Congress asked the CBO’s opinion, since they want to keep this power for themselves.

Needless to say, it should be nigh unto impossible for the CBO to predict whether the Obama people would raise or lower the reimbursement levels.

So naturally they tried to have it both ways:

[….]

And still the White House slammed them.

William A. Jacobson at Legal Insurrection:

What a pathetic joke the Democratic legislative effort has become. Loss of freedom and no meaningful cost savings. The opposite of “you get what you pay for.”

As Rahm Emanuel and Henry Waxman push to have a vote next week, it is clear that neither the Congress nor the White House has any clue as to the consequences of what they are proposing (if they even have read it). All the more reason we need to see the bill, debate it, and let our representatives know how we feel before they vote.

So give double thanks this weekend. First, for the CBO not giving in to political pressure. And second, for the fact that the CBO works on Saturdays.

I cannot say that I honestly disagree with that. This whole thing is a page right out of Saul Alinsky’s book, Rules for Radicals. It also could be a page out of the old Clinton playbook as well. What you cannot change or control; you contain it by discrediting it. If you cannot do that, then kill it. Just ask Vice Foster‘s family about that. Come to think of it, there are quite a few families that could be asked about that.  Conspiracy theories?  You decide.

Hope! Change! Intimadation! Discrediting of your Enemies! All just another day in the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama.

Secretary Clinton: Iran’s Pursuit of Nukes ‘Futile’

If you would have told me, a year ago, that I would be praising Hillary Clinton for something she said; I would have asked you what kind drugs you were on and to share some of it with me! (I kid about the drugs, but this still is a very good story.)

First the Video:

Quote:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday that Iran will never achieve its goal of obtaining a nuclear weapon, declaring to Tehran: “Your pursuit is futile.”

“What we want to do is to send a message to whoever is making these decisions, that if you’re pursuing nuclear weapons for the purpose of intimidating, of projecting your power, we’re not going to let that happen,” Clinton said.

“First, we’re going to do everything we can to prevent you from ever getting a nuclear weapon. But your pursuit is futile, because we will never let Iran — nuclear-armed, not nuclear-armed — it is something that we view with great concern, and that’s why we’re doing everything we can to prevent that from ever happening. … We believe, as a matter of policy, it is unacceptable for Iran to have nuclear weapons.”

As a security summit in Thailand earlier this week, Clinton raised the possibility of a “defense umbrella” over the Middle East to protect other nations from a nuclear-armed Iran, marking the first time a senior administration official has publicly broached the prospect of the Persian nation succeeding in building a nuclear weapon.

Clinton said the Obama administration might still engage with Iran’s regime, even though she thinks the people there “deserve better than what they’re getting.”

via Hillary Clinton: Iran’s pursuit of nukes ‘futile’ – Mike Allen and Daniel Libit – POLITICO.com.

The only question that I might have is this; Does President Obama agree with this position? Another concern that I have is that this could be a signal of War drums beating. I am sure that the Secretary knows, that our forces are still fighting in Afghanistan and that we do still have forces in Iraq and that the job there is still not entirely done yet.

However, I do commend Secretary Clinton for her tough stance towards Iran’s terrible President and Islamic Oligarchy.

I just hope that President Obama agrees with Secretary Clinton and does not try and back-peddle that stance and play the role of terrorist appeaser. If he does, it would mean the total discrediting of Secretary Clinton and further more of America’s leadership role in the World.

Update: No Quarter, who is a Pro-Hillary liberal Blogger; links in. Hey, we might not agree on politics. But I’ll any kind of linkie love that I can get! 😛 😀

Update #2: John over at Powerline disagrees:

In other words, negotiating with Iran at this time would indeed betray the protesters, but we’ve done this before and want to do it again now.

Fair enough, perhaps. Our experiences with the Soviet Union and China do establish that we have at times negotiated with repressive regimes. But it doesn’t follow that we should negotiate with Iran at this time.

In any event, this much is certain: our negotiations with the Soviet Union and China did not cause either power to eschew nuclear weapons. Indeed, to my knowledge negotiations have never induced any nation that was aggressively pursuing nukes to change its mind. That kind of persuasion takes a massive show of force (Libya and arguably Iraq) or regime change.

Thus, while the administration may have its own motives for negotiating with Iran, there is no reason for Israel to believe that such negotiations will protect Israel’s interest (potentially a life-and-death one) in preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Clinton’s case that Israel should rely on U.S. attempts to pursuade Iran not to go nuclear, rather than taking matters into its own hands by attacking Iran, is not a powerful one.

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley: Obama should have known facts before opening his mouth

The backlash continues:

President Obama should have gathered the facts first before commenting on Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.’s encounter with Cambridge, Mass. police, Mayor Daley said Saturday, wading into the controversy.

Daley said Obama — who has admitted he used a poor choice of words when he said Cambridge police acted “stupidly” by arresting Gates — should have known “you always have to have the facts” before responding to media questions.

Speaking at an event in Grant Park, Daley also said the city plans to look into the possibility of recording encounters between police and citizens, to avoid the kind of “who said what” problems that have arisen in the wake of the Gate incident.

“We’re going to be looking at this, whether or not police should have recorders when they talk to you on an incident… ” the mayor said. “Many people, unfortunately, just don’t accept the word of a police officer.”

Asked if such a program would be expensive, Daley said, “we’re going to look at it.”

via Daley weighs in on Gates controversy :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Politics.

What further proof do we need that our President was just flat out wrong, when he decided to put himself in a situation that he knew absolutely nothing about?

However, I will concede one point. The Mayor’s idea of recording encounters between the police and citizens is a good idea. I know that patrol cars already have recorders in them; but there are times, when those recorders do not capture what is happening behind the car or away from the car.  Thus creates a situation where police officers can lie on reports. Which has happened before. Plus, there are times when there are dirty cops; I have blogged on this site many times about them. I realize that they might be bit more rare, than some liberals like to let on. But they do exist.  So, while I am sure there will costs involved in doing such things. I believe in the long run, the recordings would come in handy and would keep everyone involved honest.

While I may be a Conservative and am very much against the socialism of President Barack Obama and his Democratic Party; I am also against any form of Corruption, whether it be on the Federal, State or Local levels or in the area of Law Enforcement. So, this idea, in my opinion is a good one.

However, this writer finds it extremely humorous that Mayor Richard Daley; Obama’s own hometown Mayor, says that Obama was wrong for opening his rather large pie hole, before knowing all the facts. That my friends is pure comedy magic. I just wonder if Saturday Night Live will do a comedy bit on it; I will not hold my breath, least I turn blue and die.

This is what happens when ACORN thugs are confronted by real Americans

This comes via NY Gathering of Eagles:

Quotes:

ACORN and their new front group Act Now were pwned by Tea Party Patriots again on Long Island!

When they couldn’t win their arguments with facts, the ACORN employees tried to intimidate the Tea Party folks. No way that could work with dedicated Patriots! So ACORN cut and run when the going got tough, and repeated that sorry performance twice in one day.

[…]

I’m no reporter so bear with me. Today I felt the same pride inside me matching the feeling I get whenever I read of our Founding Fathers’ activism. It might sound over exaggerated, but it doesn’t change how I feel. Today we scored a victory some may see as trivial, I see as momentous. Either way as a patriot it is overwhelming. Today I witnessed and participated in seeing ‘grass-roots folk’ come together in an instant and square off with, as of yesterday, an unchallenged foe in our cause-ACORN. We arrived at King Kullen this morning in Commack and as planned found ACORN petitioners signing up unaware patrons of the shopping center coming and going. They were asking people to sign a petition favoring Obama’s Health Care plan. We were there to give the other side and people listened.

ACORN produced four ‘workers’ we amassed 40 patriots complete with signs, banners, flyers, stickers, posters and a few loud voices.

ACORN 4 – Patriots 40.

I was told they were ‘workers’ for the organization We-Can(?) We were the people on the street giving up a beautiful warm Saturday morning to be heard.

I once read that 1 man defending his home is worth 20 paid mercenaries sent to destroy it. Believe it.

ACORN being outnumbered, out voiced and literally out debated left the area in a hurry. We followed.

After receiving communication that they fled to Stop and Shop in Bohemia 40+ patriots showed up and overwhelmed them there too. What a sight. Again ACORN took flight. They didn’t know how to react other then demanding we leave. We demanded an equal moment of time to discuss the meat and potatoes of the Obama health Care plan, they refused and retreated. I witnessed many passersby refusing to sign their petition; one even scratched their name off the list after we spoke to them. Almost every person I encountered was interested and I was relieved as almost all agreed with us. There was a little drama when a passerby vehemently argued for the plan, it was contentious but that’s liberty and democracy at work.

The only news agency seen was a local group from Alternative News based here on LI. The police were on scene, but remained out of the way as we did our own policing and respecting of the peace.

Score this a huge victory. I hope this inspires everyone to get up and get off the side-lines. You want change, than be silent no more! Silence is another form of consent, don’t be silent-don’t consent.

Known organizations present and represented: Campaign for Liberty, CSA, 9/11 Glenn Beck group, and resistnet.com by me. Others were ordinary people who heard last night and dropped their plans and showed up. What a moment.

Ever notice what color them liberal acorn thugs were?

The reason I bring this up is because real White Liberals are not the ones who will run out into the trenches and do the dirty work. They let their resident useful idiots get out there do the hard work; African-Americans! Sort of a 21 century plantation operation. Why do they do this? Because the Democratic Party, has been using the African-American vote since the 1960’s. To do this, they employ people like Al Sharpton to keep stirring the waters of Racial hatred toward the white people; to somehow convince them that the “White Man” is keeping them down.

You would think that they could have at least come a bit more prepared than this though.

Hope! Change! Intimidation!  The Brave New World under the Faux Post Racial President. President Bambi Teleprompter!

CBO Says Obamacare will save no money over 10 years

Do you think that maybe NOW Obama will understand why the blue dogs revolted?

For the second time this month, congressional budget analysts have dealt a blow to the Democrat’s health reform efforts, this time by saying a plan touted by the White House as crucial to paying for the bill would actually save almost no money over 10 years.

A key House chairman and moderate House Democrats on Tuesday agreed to a White House-backed proposal that would give an outside panel the power to make cuts to government-financed health care programs. White House budget director Peter Orszag declared the plan “probably the most important piece that can be added” to the House’s health care reform legislation.

But on Saturday, the Congressional Budget Office said the proposal to give an independent panel the power to keep Medicare spending in check would only save about $2 billion over 10 years- a drop in the bucket compared to the bill’s $1 trillion price tag.

“In CBO’s judgment, the probability is high that no savings would be realized … but there is also a chance that substantial savings might be realized. Looking beyond the 10-year budget window, CBO expects that this proposal would generate larger but still modest savings on the same probabilistic basis,” CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf wrote in a letter to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer on Saturday.

via CBO deals new blow to health plan – Chris Frates – POLITICO.com.

The Blue Dog Democrats revolted on this stupid plan, because they know; what the majority of clear-thinking Americans know. That the Nation’s Economy is in the Toilet and is not expected not to get any better anytime soon. The passing of this Health-care Bill and the Nationalization of our Health-care system is going to sooner or later drive America into Bankruptcy.  The Blue Dog Democrats know this, they are not under the spell of hope and change, like Obama wants them to be. In other words, they are not drinking the Kool-Aid on the Obamassiah.

One trillion dollars and The economy is at it worst since the 1980’s? Is this President serious?

I think the President and the Democratic Party need to seriously reconsider what they are attempting to do here. Because if they do not, this country may just end with a one party system after the damage is all done. Some Republicans might be thrilled at the prospect of the total and complete destruction of the Democratic Party; but I would not be thrilled at all. Why?

I will tell you why, because, like Bill O’Reilly; believe that a two-party system in this Country is important. I believe, personally, that neither of these parties; Republican Party or The Democratic Party have all of the answers. There is good and bad in both of them, and because of this, I believe that the Democratic Party is about to do one of the stupidest an horrific overreaches in many years. It was attempted in Clinton Administration and it failed, and now it is about to be attempted again.  This time, it will be a disaster.

Somebody up there on Capital Hill needs have some clear thinking and really seriously consider what might become of the Democratic Party, should this blow up in their faces. Because I have a feeling that this all is going to get much uglier, before it gets any better.

At first blush, I take this at face value, but……

Something troubles me:

A black police officer who was at Henry Louis Gates Jr.’s home when the black Harvard scholar was arrested says he fully supports how his white fellow officer handled the situation.

Sgt. Leon Lashley says Gates was probably tired and surprised when Sgt. James Crowley demanded identification from him as officers investigated a report of a burglary. Lashley says Gates’ reaction to Crowley was “a little bit stranger than it should have been.”

Asked if Gates should have been arrested, Lashley said supported Crowley “100 percent.”

Gates has said he was the victim of racial profiling.

via Black officer at Gates home during arrest said scholar acted strange, supports arrest — chicagotribune.com.

However, watch this video, watch this man’s body language:

Also, since when does being outside; and being loud with a Police officer constitute a reason to be arrested? If the man was no danger to then public or the officers on the scene, then why was he even arrested?

Could it be that the Union threatened this black police officer and told him, that if spoke against the arresting officer, that he would pay for it? Something is fishy. I could be wrong, but still the explanation for his reason for being arrested just does not wash with me, at all. Sorry, but being an insulting ass toward a police officer; is not a valid reason for arrest. Because if that was the case, I would be in jail! :rotfl:

Something just does not add up here. I cannot quite put my finger on it. True, the Harvard guy was being an asshole. But the officer was not one hundred percent right either here.

Thoughts?

Thank You Jonathan Klein

I am very glad to hear this:

CNN/US president Jonathan Klein is rebuffing the mounting criticism of the network over Lou Dobbs’ continued airing of “birther” theories, saying that Lou runs “his own show” that merely hosts “panels” with birther theorists and asserting that CNN respects viewers enough to let them “make up their own minds.”

Klein, in an interview with me just now, also took a shot at Dobbs’ critics, saying they’re politically motivated: “I understand that people with a partisan point of view from one extreme or anther might get annoyed that certain subjects are aired.”

CNN is under mounting pressure to get Dobbs to stop giving airtime to birther theorists and suggesting there’s something to their case, which he’s been doing even though the network has repeatedly debunked the theories. Jon Stewart recently mocked Dobbs for not even watching his own network. Media Matters has blasted CNN for “mainstreaming the fringe.”

The Southern Poverty Law Center called for Dobbs’ firing today, and MoveOn is demanding CNN apologize for Dobbs’ “helping to spread hate and fear.”

“Look, Lou’s his own show, and CNN in general has repeatedly and thoroughly reported on the facts behind this situation,” Klein said to me, adding that Lou had merely hosted “a few conversations with people representing a wide range of opinions.”

Klein said that Dobbs has repeatedly stated that he believes that Obama was born in Hawaii, and has simply been examining the “phenomenon that for some people this won’t go away.”

via CNN President Brushes Off Criticism Of Lou Dobbs’ Continued Floating Of “Birther” Theories | The Plum Line.

I publicly thank Jonathan Klein for not knuckling under to the liberal fascists, who would like to censor, repress and destroy those who are not drinking Obama’s Kool-Aid. I too personally, would like to see Obama Original long form Birth Certificate. Although, I won’t hold my breath seeing that the Birth Certificate was discarded in 2001, when the hospital records went digital. That is, if that was actual hospital he was born in.

On one hand, I think this story is a good thing.  I believe that President Obama should be forced to release his original long form Birth Certificate. But then again; if he does and it does in fact show that Obama was born in Hawaii. Would not that totally destroy or at worst; discredit the right wing media?  These are the questions that keep me awake at night. Why would the media or any other outlet pursue something that could in fact bury them, if it turns out that they were totally wrong about it? On the other hand, if Obama is truly a citizen, then why is he spending all the millions that Obama has paid to keep his Birth Certificate private?

The man is a public figure, he is the President of the United States of America. President Obama should release the long form Birth Certificate to end this madness for good.

Video: The President Backpeddles

First the Video:

Via The Politico:

President Obama made a surprise appearance in the White House briefing room Friday in an attempt to tamp down the escalating controversy over his comments on the Monday arrest of Harvard Prof. Henry Louis Gates by the Cambridge, Mass., Police Department.

Just hours after Cambridge police union officials called on Obama to apologize for saying the officers involved in the incident with Gates behaved “stupidly,” Obama conceded that he erred in his “choice of words.”

Obama said he spoke to James Crowley, the sergeant who arrested Gates, “and I have to tell you that, as I said yesterday, my impression of him is that he was an outstanding police officer…and that was confirmed in the phone conversation.”

“In my choice of words, I unfortunately gave the impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sergeant Crowley specifically,” Obama said, walking back his sharpest criticism.

But, the president said: “I continue to believe, based on what I have heard, that there was an overreaction in pulling Prof. Gates out of his home and to the station. I also continue to believe, based on what I heard, that Prof. Gates probably overreacted as well.”

Let me get this straight; The President is saying that he should not have called the Police Department stupid? But he still things that both guys overreacted?  In other words; they are not stupid, but they both hotheads. All one has to do, is go over to the smoking gun and you will see what happened.

The simple truth is Gates knew that he could provoke a situation because he was black. Just that simple. If the President believes anything other than that. He is much more stupid that I thought. The simple truth is that Obama is siding with this idiot because he is black. So, Obama is totally biased in this situation.

The truth is this, the Media threw him a curve ball and he took the bait and inserted himself into a local situation and in that process has made himself look very small and petty.

So much for a Post-Racial President!

Obama’s poll numbers continue to drop

You know it is a slow news day; when you have to look at another Conservative Blog for see if there is any news at all.

Good Lord.

According to the latest Rasmussen Report: (H/T to Ed Morrissey, who can find news anywhere! 😀 )

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 30% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-eight percent (38%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -8 (see trends).

Just 25% believe that the economic stimulus package has helped the economy.

Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. Today marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Democrats continue to approve of the President’s performance while 80% of Republicans disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 37% offer a positive assessment. The President earns approval from 51% of women and 47% of men.

Wow. What a huge drop! The President’s poll number has dropped faster than I’ve ever seen before. At least since I have been paying attention to such stuff. Of course, A liberal will say that Bush’s numbers dropped too. Sure; but it did not happen so fast. Bush maintained high poll numbers for well into his Presidency. That was until the Iraq War turned ugly. That was when, finally, his numbers started tanking.

Heck, even Bill Clinton’s numbers did not start tanking badly until the Lewinsky Scandal hit. So, this is a major development. This could very well spell the beginning of the end of the romance between America and the President. The newness could very well be wearing off rather quickly.

I have few theories as to why this is:

  • The Economy: So far there has been no big clear sign, that the Bush Initiated and Obama expanded Stimulus Package has even worked.  Perhaps a few token projects, in a attempt to make the Administration look good to the American people. But so far, no real progress has even begun.
  • The Stock Market: I realize that this one and the previous point might be intertwined, but for the purposes of explaining, I separated them. Anyone who has even remotely follow the markets, knows what I am talking about. The Markets are totally unstable, one minute the markets are swirling the drain, the next minute they are soaring. That makes investors nervous and distrust the leadership in Washington D.C.; Plus, most hardcore Capitalists are not too thrilled about the idea of the Government venturing into the Private sector.
  • Unemployment: Unemployment is still rising, it is now at 9.7 Percent. Here in Michigan it is at 15.4 percent across all 7 market sectors. The folks see this and they blame the Governmental leadership.
  • Obama’s Healthcare Plan: This is perhaps the biggest reason Obama poll numbers are going through the floor. Most rational thinking Americans just do not like the idea of the United States Government telling them that they MUST take some sort of insurance plan or they will be taxed. There are some, like this writer; who find that to be a infringement upon my Constitutional rights. Thus this would cause Obama poll numbers to drop dramatically.
  • Broken Campaign Promises: Gosh, Where does one even start here? Transparency Promise, Broken. Promise to end the Iraq War, when Obama took office; Changed and then, Broken. I am sure that there are many more that he has broken, I just do not remember them all. To be fair, Bush broke many himself; Some were for the good. Like the Privatizing of Social Security. That is one, that I am personally glad to see did not get fulfilled. Seeing how the markets crashed.
  • Overexposure: AllahPundit over at HotAir wrote about this last night. It is quite true, Obama has had four major news conferences. People are just sick and tired of seeing the President on T.V. trying to get his agenda passed. They would rather just not see him all the time. They elected him; great. Now, please, get to work sir! That is basically the feeling of the American people; at least I believe so anyhow.

To sum this up. Obama needs to work on being the President and quit trying to be a rock star. It could only help.

Local News: Michigan Unemployement rates are now at 15.2 percent, across ALL Markets

Oh Wonderful…. 🙄

Lansing — Unemployment rates rose in all 17 of Michigan’s major labor markets in June.

The loss of manufacturing jobs and of seasonal employment in education drove up the unemployment rates announced by the state Thursday. Michigan gained seasonal tourism jobs.

All of Michigan’s regional markets had unemployment rates of more than 10 percent last month, ranging from a low of 10.6 percent in Ann Arbor to a high of 17.4 percent in Flint.

Two rural counties, Baraga and Oscoda, each had jobless rates of more than 20 percent.

Regional unemployment rates are not seasonally adjusted. National and state unemployment rates are adjusted to remove seasonal influences.

Michigan’s statewide seasonally adjusted rate of 15.2 percent was highest in the nation.

via Unemployment rates rise across Mich. —  The Detroit News.

Just another perfect example of the failure of the socialist Democrat polices in my wonderful state. When will the fine people of Michigan wake up and realize that the Democrats have nothing, but their own special interests in mind and vote these socialist twits out of office, once and for all?

I will not hold my breath, least I turn blue and die.

Michigan needs change, but not what Obama and Socialist goon Jennifer Granholm have mind.

I have come to a conclusion about the President

That he is either abysmally ignorant or grossly naive.

The reason I say this, is because now, Obama is now saying that he is shocked SHOCKED that there would be any uproar over him calling the police dept “Stupid” for how they handled race-baiter and general stupid idiot, Henry Gates.

ABC News reports:  (Please,be sure and watch the video, please, I cannot embed it here)

President Obama today stood by his comments that the Cambridge, Mass., police department acted “stupidly” in its arrest of Henry Louis Gates, telling ABC News that the Harvard University professor should not have been arrested.

“I have to say I am surprised by the controversy surrounding my statement, because I think it was a pretty straightforward commentary that you probably don’t need to handcuff a guy, a middle-aged man who uses a cane, who’s in his own home,” Obama said.

In an exclusive interview with ABC’s Terry Moran to air on “Nightline” tonight, Obama said it doesn’t make sense to him that the situation escalated to the point that Gates was arrested.

“I think that I have extraordinary respect for the difficulties of the job that police officers do,” the president told Moran. “And my suspicion is that words were exchanged between the police officer and Mr. Gates and that everybody should have just settled down and cooler heads should have prevailed. That’s my suspicion.”

The president said he understands the sergeant who arrested Gates is an “outstanding police officer.” But he added that with all that’s going on in the country with health care and the economy and the wars abroad, “it doesn’t make sense to arrest a guy in his own home if he’s not causing a serious disturbance.”

It is quite obvious that Obama is biased in this situation, because he is black. So much for a Post-Racial President! The man still clings to the past racial nonsense of the 1960’s. I guess his Communist mentor in Hawaii had more influence than we thought.

What really perplexes  me, is how Obama is going directly against the Police union:

Crowley and his union slammed the president today for his comments about the incident at Gates’ house last week.

Obama “was dead wrong to malign this police officer specifically and the department in general,” Alan McDonald, the lawyer for the Cambridge Police Superior Officers Association, told ABC News today.

Crowley also chimed in, saying that the president’s characterization was “way off base. … I acted appropriately,” Crowley told WBZ Radio in Boston Thursday.

“I support the president of the United States 110 percent,” Crowley told WBZ. “I think he’s way off base wading into a local issue without knowing all the facts, as he himself stated before he made that comment.”

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said today that the president was not calling the Cambridge police officer stupid when he criticized his actions in the Gates incident.

On whether the president regrets the use of his words, Gibbs said: “No. He was not calling the officer stupid. The situation got out of hand.”

Gibbs said he was not aware whether the president had spoken to Gates.

This is part that makes me wonder if the President is dealing with a full deck —- or not. Why I say this is; does the President have any remote clue, how stupid it is to insult a union worker? The Police do have a union, does Obama even know this or realize the implications of crossing the police union? I mean, Obama may as well have called the United Auto Workers, a bunch of lazy bums!  Obama has basically gone against his own base! I mean, does not Obama release that this union is, as are all Union affiliated with the A.F.L-C.I.O; and that these organizations communicate with one another? There is an old saying when it comes to progressive politics; and anything else for that matter, and that is; you just do not bite the hand that feeds you. Obama has just bitten one the biggest hands in progressive politics!

Something tells me, that Obama is going to be doing some serious kissing up here in the next few weeks or else he can forget about running in 2012. Because you just do not stab the unions in the back and expect to be reelected. You would think that Obama, being quite the progressive that he is, would know something like this.I may now be a Conservative; but I do know the inner workings of progressive politics and Unions are a big part of it. Obama might find this out, when it is time for him to be reelected come 2012.

When you have lost the unions, you have basically lost your base and your chances of being reelected.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: No Healthcare Vote Before August Recess

A victory, albeit a minor one:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said today that the Senate would not attempt to pass sweeping health care reform until after returning from the August recess.

“It’s better to get a product that’s based on quality and thoughtfulness than on trying to just get something through,” Reid told reporters.

Reid said the Senate would try to complete a package in the fall.

Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin said Wednesday that he expected that a bill would not be passed before the upper chamber breaks for recess on August 7.

“All this is no surprise to anyone,” Reid said.

Reid also said that the Senate Finance Committee’s long-awaited markup would be completed before the August 7 date.

Reid said Republicans, who have shown intense resistance to President Obama’s push for health care reform, had asked for more time to work out a package.

“We will do what we can to make sure their concerns are not buried,” Reid said.

via Reid: Health care won’t happen before recess – Politico.com.

So, it looks like the President’s little dog and pony show last night was all for naught. Instead of forcing the hand of Congress; Obama succeeded in making himself look like quite the jackass, in front of the American people. Instead of Obama pushing his Healthcare plan; Obama just played the game of trying to reassure the American people. Which, in this writers opinion failed; because he simply dealt in generalities, instead of specifics.

Seems to me that President Obama believes that the entire Democratic Party is just going to roll over and allow this Healthcare bill to pass unchallenged. It just does not work that way. The entire Democratic Party, is just not sold on the idea of President Obama’s far left socialism. The Blue-Dogs as they are called, still believe in free market values. They are just not going to swallow Obama’s agenda; just because he is black.  This was the fatal flaw in the Obama strategy, thinking that he was going to get his way; and if anyone tried to block it, he would play the race card. It worked during the campaign, but it will not work in Washington D.C.; because the Blog Dogs just are not that stupid.

If the Blue Dogs are going to be convinced to pass something like this, they will have to be told how, in very specific terms, this Healthcare program is going to be paid for. So far, Obama has not given that. Only simple generalities; that will not fly with the Blue Dog Democrats at all.

I will continue to cover this interesting little story. Because I want to see what strategy that the Obama Administration employs. I can tell you, that if the Obama Administration tries to employ the “race card”, there could be some backlash from that as well. Because some in the Democratic Party just do not buy into that whole, “Play the card, if you’re losing the argument” strategy. It could cost Obama in poll numbers and possibly in 2012, should he decide to run again.

Open Thread: Obama’s Healthcare presser

So, what do you all think about the Press Conference thing tonight on Healthcare?

Some notes:

  1. Steven Green and Dr. Melissa Clouthier live Blogged about it.
  2. I watched Bill OReilly’s reaction to it, it was as I expected. Bill did not understand any of it.
  3. Some in Congress are saying that there will be no vote before summer recess.
  4. Pelosi says that Congress should work till it is passed.
  5. Obama feels that the Blue Dog Democrats are going to ruin his Presidency.
  6. Some feel the Healthcare bill is better than nothing at all.

My take: I watched the presser myself. All I heard were generalities, no details. Mostly talking points and bluster.

So, what do you all think about his Presser?

The more things change…..

The more they stay the same….

Reporting from Washington — Invoking an argument used by President George W. Bush, the Obama administration has turned down a request from a watchdog group for a list of health industry executives who have visited the White House to discuss the massive healthcare overhaul.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington sent a letter to the Secret Service asking about visits from 18 executives representing health insurers, drug makers, doctors and other players in the debate. The group wants the material in order to gauge the influence of those executives in crafting a new healthcare policy.

The Secret Service sent a reply stating that documents revealing the frequency of such visits were considered presidential records exempt from public disclosure laws. The agency also said it was advised by the Justice Department that the Secret Service was within its rights to withhold the information because of the “presidential communications privilege.”

via White House declines to disclose visits by health industry executives – Los Angeles Times.

Hope! Change!

Yeah, Right!

Just another lying Politician, like the rest of them. No Change, at all.

Updated to Add: I did not want to say too much here. Because my shoulder was hurting me pretty bad. It is a little batter and plus, I do want people to come to my blog. This whole thing stinks to high heaven, and even the Liberals are pissed about it; and rightly so. Barack Obama and the other Democratic Party candidates  railed against the Bush Administration for this same very thing during the 2008 election. So, what does Obama do, once he is in the White House? The very same damned thing. President Barack Obama promised total transparency when he was elected and what does he do? Lies out his rather large ass, that’s what! I tend to believe that Obama is going to face a very large backlash here and this one might be his undoing come 2012.

Bobby Jindal makes a good argument against Socialized Medicine.

Some very good points made here…:

In Washington, it seems history always repeats itself. That’s what’s happening now with health-care reform. This is an unfortunate turn of events for Americans who are legitimately concerned about the skyrocketing cost of a basic human need.

In 1993 and 1994, Hillary Clinton’s health-care reform proposal failed because it was concocted in secret without the guiding hand of public consensus-building, and because it was a philosophical over-reach. Today President Barack Obama is repeating these mistakes.

The reason is plain: The left in Washington has concluded that honesty will not yield its desired policy result. So it resorts to a fundamentally dishonest approach to reform. I say this because the marketing of the Democrats’ plans as presented in the House of Representatives and endorsed heartily by President Obama rests on three falsehoods.

First, Mr. Obama doggedly promises that if you like your (private) health-care coverage now, you can keep it. That promise is hollow, because the Democrats’ reforms are designed to push an ever-increasing number of Americans into a government-run health-care plan.

If a so-called public option is part of health-care reform, the Lewin Group study estimates over 100 million Americans may leave private plans for government-run health care. Any government plan will benefit from taxpayer subsidies and be able to operate at a financial loss—competing unfairly in the marketplace until private plans are driven out of business. The government plan will become so large that it will set, rather than negotiate, prices. This will inevitably lead to monopoly, with a resulting threat to the quality of our health care

via Bobby Jindal’s Bipartisan Health-Care Reform – WSJ.com.

Of course, when Bobby Jindal makes this Argument:

Second, the Democrats disingenuously argue their reforms will not diminish the quality of our health care even as government involvement in the delivery of that health care increases massively. For all of us who have seen the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s response to hurricanes, this contention is laughable on its face.

Zendar The Stupid writes:

On number 2, I see Bobby still hasn’t learned the lesson of the difference between “There are things the government can and should provide” and “Let’s underfund these services, they waste money.” You get no cred talking about FEMA as a Republican, because your state didn’t exactly pick up the slack there after Katrina, Bob.

This argument is so damn stupid, that it is absolutely pathetic. Hence the name of this idiot’s blog. In case Mr. Stupid has forgotten, Bobby Jindal was NOT the Governor during Katrina.  Kathleen Blanco; a Democrat, was in office. A Democrat who did not have a damn clue as to how to run a State. To cover for her blatant inability to run a State Government, she tried to blame BUSH for the failures during the Katrina Disaster. Nice try at spin there buddy, but this Blogger clearly remembers that whole little incident and how the Liberal Media tried to use it to slime Bush.

Funny how when the Liberals begin to lose an argument they have to resort to Ad-Hominem attacks and straw man arguments. Losing the Healthcare debate? Blame Bush! Economy in the toilet? Stimulus not working? Blame Bush! It is quite lame, but very humorous to watch.

Here we go again — Bitter and Clingy Part II

First the Video via Verum Serum:

John sums it up quite nicely:

You begin to get the idea that, underneath all his efforts to talk to people like adults, he thinks there are really just two camps: Courageous progressives, e.g. himself and people who agree with him, and backward bumpkins who huddle around failure because they’re too afraid to be more like…him.

It must be an empowering way to see the world. It’s also arrogant, elitist and false. But I wonder if any of that can compare to the psychic kick of seeing oneself as a superhero among benighted mortals.

Rough translation:  President Barack Obama thinks the following: “‘Dem stupid Conservative honkey Hillbillies don’t know what good for ‘da Country; I do. ‘Cause I’m black and I’m down with ‘da struggle and chit…”

Ed Morrissey, who is much more refined that me, sums it up nicely as well:

Remember when Obama scoffed at the notion that he was an elitist during the campaign? I wrote at the time that Obama was deliberately confusing “elites” and “elitism”, and that having a sitting US Senator attempting to deny his elite status was a little odd anyway. This is a perfect display of elitism — someone telling people that they don’t know how to calculate their own self-interest and declaring that a few people in Washington can figure that out for them better than they can themselves. It’s patronizing, condescending, and in fact is the very kind of attitude that created the impulse for our separation from the paternalistic monarchy that refused to allow for the notion that the colonies should have a say in their own governance.

NYT Headline: HotAir’s Ed Morrissey calls for a Revolution against the Government! :rotfl: 😉

I kid, I kid! 😀 :-)) :rotfl:

This above is another reason why I will never, ever vote for another Democrat for as long as I live. Because they snivel at the common class people; who disagree with them.  Janeane Garofalo proved this to me, which she uttered these works on Keith Olbermann’s show:

Which was when I decided that I no longer wanted to listen to what Mr. Olbermann had to say any longer.  You see, I am nowhere near to the far, far right that some of my fellow Conservatives are. I have always considered myself to be a bit of a moderate, in the sense that I just do not believe that the Republican Party has all of the answers. However, when I see a liberal Democrat actress getting on National TV; who is most likely not hurting for money, and sit there and call average working Americans rednecks and racists —- all because they happen to disagree with the President’s politics; there is something abysmally wrong with the politics that she represents.

The real kicker is the fact that these were the same group of people, that moaned to the high heavens about how the Conservatives were being “meanies” for saying that the Liberals were being Anti-American for not supporting George W. Bush and his policies. Albeit idiotic as some of them were; it still seems quite hypocritical to this writer, that the Liberals are engaging in some of the idiotic behavior that liberal Blogs and Media lambasted when the Republicans were holding the ball, so to speak.

But this is really nothing new really. I am sure this sort of nonsense has went on for years. It just has been become much noticeable to me. Because I have been paying attention to politics since running this blog. The overreach that has been taking place, so far; during the Obama Administration is classic, it happened during Clinton’s era, During Carter’s era. It even happened during both the Reagan and both Bush Administrations as well. Politicians always overreach, make promises they cannot keep, it is nothing new at all.

The tragic thing is this, Obama made a great deal of promises to many people that had never voted before. Many of thee people are not old enough to remember many of the previous Administration’s overreaches and hallow promises.   This could hurt Obama greatly come 2010, in the form of rejection of his Democratic Senators and Congressman and hurt him, should he decide to run in 2012.

The Wall Street Journal’s shocking Discovery: "Obama is not Post-Partisan"

You mean, they are just now figuring this out? Raised Eyebrow

Only last summer we were told that Barack Obama’s political appeal rested on his vision for a “post-partisan future.” The post-partisan future was one of the press corps’ favorite phrases. It served as shorthand for the candidate’s repeated references to “unity of purpose,” looking beyond a red or blue America, and so on.

Six months into the president’s term, you don’t read much about this post-partisan future anymore. It may be because on almost every big-ticket legislative item (the stimulus, climate change, and now health care), Mr. Obama has been pushing a highly ideological agenda with little (and in some cases zero) support from across the aisle. Yet far from stating the obvious—that sitting in the Oval Office is a very partisan president—the press corps is allowing Mr. Obama to evade the issue by coming up with novel redefinitions.

via Let’s Face It: Obama Is No Post-Partisan – WSJ.com.

You know, if I were one of those uncouth types; I would say something along the lines of, “Well, Duh!”  But that would be unbecoming of a blogger of my caliber. Now if you will pardon me, I need to adjust my top head and tails. Smug

Seriously folks, you mean to tell me the Rupert’s people up at the WSJ are just now figuring this out? I mean, did not the whole “I won” sniveling line to the Republicans, give them any clue at all that Obama did not intend to bend an ear to the Republicans?

But of course Obama is not a Post-Partisan; He is going to ride this ever-rapidly-decreasing wave of support to get his agenda through, while he still has the sixty-seat majority in the Congress; to pass his agenda. Well, that is if the “Blue Dog” Democrats do not derail it. Which most likely will happen. I mean, I ridicule the Democrats quite a bit. But the Conservative wing of the Democratic Party; small as it might be, is still there and I just do not believe that they are just going to bend and allow Obama to bowl them over.

I just cannot believe that WSJ is just now figuring this out. They seriously need to hire me. I mean, I could told them this eons ago. Big Grin

The A.D.H.D. of the Conservative blogsphere

I cannot believe I am using that title, seeing I have A.D.H.D. and take meds for it daily.

I hate to always be the wolf to break away from the pack. But sometimes common sense has to start somewhere…. Many of my fellow right wing Bloggers are howling about this one:

In a reflection of a legislative strategy that has left no stone unturned, President Barack Obama on Monday called on like-minded bloggers to help his administration keep the heat on lawmakers to pass health care reform.

“It is important just to keep the pressure on members of Congress because what happens is there is a default position of inertia here in Washington,” the president said during an invitation-only conference call. “And pushing against that, making sure that people feel that the desperation that ordinary families are feeling all across the country, every single day, when they are worrying about whether they can pay their premiums or not… People have to feel that in a visceral way. And you guys can help deliver that better than just about anybody.

via HuffPo: Obama Calls On Bloggers To Keep Health Care Pressure On Congress (AUDIO).

Some of the Republican/Conservative Bloggers have some seriously short memories or something.  Because Bush did the same thing, when he was in office. See here, here, here, and here. So, while it might be cool to attack Obama for his policies, it just seems mighty silly to attack Obama for something that the Bush Administration did themselves.

Nice try guys, but this one is a bit silly IMHO.

David Brooks writes a whopper

No, I am not talking about Burger King. :giggle:

I am referring to his Op-Ed in the New York Times Today:

It was interesting to watch the Republican Party lose touch with America. You had a party led by conservative Southerners who neither understood nor sympathized with moderates or representatives from swing districts.

They brought in pollsters to their party conferences to persuade their members that the country was fervently behind them. They were supported by their interest groups and cheered on by their activists and the partisan press. They spent federal money in an effort to buy support but ended up disgusting the country instead.

It’s not that interesting to watch the Democrats lose touch with America. That’s because the plotline is exactly the same. The party is led by insular liberals from big cities and the coasts, who neither understand nor sympathize with moderates. They have their own cherry-picking pollsters, their own media and activist cocoon, their own plans to lavishly spend borrowed money to buy votes.

This ideological overreach won’t be any more successful than the last one. A Washington Post-ABC News poll released Monday confirms what other polls have found. Most Americans love Barack Obama personally, but support for Democratic policies is already sliding fast.

It is truly an interesting article to read and I ask that you click on the link and go read it for yourself. I also notice that many Conservatives are taking issue with it as well.

Dr. Melissa Clouthier, whom I gently ribbed once this week already; writes something rather intelligent this time around:

So, President Bush talked God with a cowboy dialect but his actions were all moderation. Hello? AIDs spending in Africa? School reform with Teddy Kennedy? Amnesty? And all these things made the federal government bigger (or would have), more powerful and invasive. The Bush presidency wasn’t about restraint and limiting government power–traits I associate with conservatism.

David Brooks and the Beltway elites are delusional. If President Bush governed conservatively, then David Brooks would put nearly every conservative person I know into the Right Wing Extreme camp. No wonder Barack Obama sounded good to him. Obama moderate? Is he insane?

Good point!  Bush was about as Conservative, as I am a damned Communist. Especially when it came to Foreign Policy; The man was a Wilsonian to the core. (That, is what Liberals call a Neo-Con) Iraq proved that. Bush could have cared less about the WMD’s. He just wanted to take out Saddam and finish the job his daddy started, that is what that war was all about. (Some Conservatives and or Republicans deny this, but it is the damned truth…..) The problem was, that he had that serial fuck up; Donald Rumsfield running the damn Defense Department! The Liberals are on a witch hunt to put persons related to the Iraq War in Jail. Well, they can start with Rumsfield. He’s the fucking tool that caused the problems in Iraq.  It took Rumsfield being ousted and Robert Gates being put in; for that little situation to be fixed properly. Too bad it took 4000+ of our finest men to finally get someone’s attention in the beltway, that Rumsfield had to go. The damned idiots. :pissedoff: :reallypissed:

As for Obama being a moderate. Yeah, and I am a Russian Communist. 🙄 I suppose Brooks considers Taxing us into a damned hole that we might never get out off; Moderate. Like hell Obama is. I suppose that David Brooks would consider me a “Right Wing Extremist”.

Dan Riehl Says:

This is all great. But if Brooks is so smart, where the hell was he during the campaign when the rubes knew what to expect?

Dan, David Brooks was too busy giving Obama a Blowjob in he back of his limo slobbering all over himself at the fact that a black man was going to actually be President. Barack Obama was seen as a novelty item, by the Conservative establishment in the beltway. Not to mention the media. However, as we have all seen, that novelty is quickly wearing off and many people; from the Right to the far left are beginning to see this man for what he really is. Just another lying politician.
