I have been sitting here, trying to keep out of this. But I have sat and looked at the Republican and Neo–Conservative Spin on this Story and I’m sick of it. 😡

So, I am giving you, the other side of the story, from the horses mouth; without commentary from me.

I did not ask that you agree, I simply ask that you listen and hear this man out. Now I am almost sure, that the Blogs, that I have linked to, will remove my trackback, like the Neo-Con Fascists that they are. I mean, it is all about controlling the message with those guys.  🙄

Off for the night!

I’m outta here. I’m still working on getting myself up earlier. Not working very well, but I’m trying. 😀

I know what will happen. I’ll end up dragging my sorry butt outta bed 8 days from now, go to this Christmas dinner, feel like crap for the day and go back to my nighttime routine. 😛

Posting tomorrow will be limited, me and the old man are going to do our monthly jaunt to the grocery store tomorrow in the afternoon. (Unless something else comes up or he decides that he does not want to go. In which case, I will be here. 😉 ) Hopefully, one of us won’t go off the deep end in the process. 😉  (I love the guy, but there are times…..)

Well, Sort of…

Here’s is the truth about why the comment moderation is enabled and Why I’ve basically hung it up with Twitter.

I’ve made it quite clear on this Blog that I am in favor of the loans to the big three in Detroit. I’ve Blogged many times as to why. I realize that it is a very complex issue and that no matter what happens, someone isn’t going to like what happens.

Anyhow, this discussion came up on twitter. I happened to be following a great deal of Conservatives, mainly Neo-Conservatives and Republicans. I admit it, I get upset when I hear people trashing my area, and also the big three, because my Dad worked there. I take it personally, it’s just not something I can control. It’s my family and I’m close to my family.

Anyhow, I lost my “cool” as it were, and I said some things that really pissed off a good number of people. I ended up hosing the twitter account, I’m done with the twitter stuff.

Oh, there’s an account there. I created a new one. Well, it was an older one, that I never used. So,  went to that one. Set up twitterfeed to auto post my Blog entries there. But I’m not using it anymore.

Anyhow, I offer no apologies to the assholes who insulted my Father, yes, I equate my Father with G.M. Sorry, it’s the way I roll. To those who got caught in the crossfire, if I snapped at you an anger. I apologize, but this one issue, I take personally.

A bit of an explanation

Some of you who come here quite regularly. Might have noticed a picture in my right sidebar under the heading, “Memo To Minorities – I do not embrace diversity!” Followed by a picture of a young white girl in pigtails, giving a rather familiar gesture,  with the words, “You want me to race mix?” in the picture.

Last night around four in the morning. I removed the picture……and here is why.

First off, I thought about my Father, who has many African-American Friends. I thought about my family. In short, common sense got the best of me.

Folks, I want to be clear, I am not, nor have I ever been a racist bigot.  I, through the medium of this Blog, sometimes use language; albiet at times a bit rough and tumble, that causes liberals to have knee jerk reactions. But when the smoke clears, I accept everyone as equal.

The only thing that I am opposed to, is the following:

  1. Race Baiting
  2. Identity Politics
  3. The fact that Illegal Immigrants want we Americans to adapt to their culture, and not the other way around.
  4. Politicians who pander to minorities, of ANY race!
  5. Socialism of the Far Left
  6. Communism in all it’s forms.

So, in short, that pictures with those words, went a bit beyond of the type of battle that I am fighting. It promoted hate, something that I am just not about at all.

FeedBurner is History….

I happen to look over at my Feedburner admin page and that idiotic thing wasn’t even reading my feeds. So, it’s history. I took the damn icon thing with that counter that supposedly counted my number of readers, although I know that the thing is inaccurate as hell.

Since I made the change in the Permalink structure, the address for feeds is now this:

http://www.politicalbyline.com/?feed=rss2

Right click on the address above address and click on copy link location, or whatever your browser says and paste it to your RSS reader, or whatever you use to read here.

It just did not make any sense to have two RSS feed locations on here. So, I scrapped Feedburner.

Change has come….To this Blog

I have made a change… Because of the fact that my titles of my entries at times can be a bit long. I have switched to the default permalink structure on wordpress.

Of course, this is going to cause some headaches for the search engines and the link chasers for a few days, until the bots catch up. But I wanted to shorten things up a bit.

So….. If you’ve followed a link and it’s not there, that is why. 😀

Sorry, but I really wanted to do that.

Stepping back…..

I’m going to take a few days to think about things, relax, and get away from this Blog. Might spend a little time reading the Bible…. and try and finish that book, that I’ve been meaning to finish…

I’m not quitting… I’m just a bit peeved.

This whole auto bailout thing has gotten me into an awful funk. I’m finding much of what’s being said about the unions grating against me personally and my family.

So, I think I’ll just go find something else to do, until this stupid story gets out of the headlines.

I’ll post a link or something, that I find interesting. But for now, I Just need a bit of a break.

A New Look….

I’ve decided to go with something a bit different. I noticed that a theme that I absolutely love has been updated…finally, after many years of it not being up to date for the latest wordpress.

I may add a picture at a later date. But this is what I’ve wanted to run for a long while now. I needed a change of pace, badly.. That other theme was getting quite old. I promise. I won’t be changing themes every other week.
