WaPo is now WaPimp?

That’s what it looks like….

Via Politico:

For $25,000 to $250,000, The Washington Post has offered lobbyists and association executives off-the-record, nonconfrontational access to “those powerful few”: Obama administration officials, members of Congress, and — at first — even the paper’s own reporters and editors.

The astonishing offer was detailed in a flier circulated Wednesday to a health care lobbyist, who provided it to a reporter because the lobbyist said he felt it was a conflict for the paper to charge for access to, as the flier says, its “health care reporting and editorial staff.”

With the newsroom in an uproar after POLITICO reported the solicitation, Executive Editor Marcus Brauchli said this morning that he was “appalled” by the plan and said the newsroom will not participate.

“It suggests that access to Washington Post journalists was available for purchase,” Brauchli told The Post’s media reporter, Howard Kurtz. The proposal “promises we would suspend our usual skeptical questioning because it appears to offer, in exchange for sponsorships, the good name of The Washington Post.”

Earlier this morning, Brauchili said in a staffwide e-mail that the newsroom would not participate in the first of the planned events — a dinner scheduled July 21 at the home of Publisher and Chief Executive Officer Katharine Weymouth. Brauchli, was named on the flier as one of the “Hosts and Discussion Leaders.”

Um…. Cue the Music!

Notice how when the Newsroom found out about this; they were all like, “We are not involved!” Uh-huh, sure you all aren’t. Gives a whole new meaning to the word, “In the tank.” More like over the tank hank, if you know what I mean here.

Reactions are about equal across the Blogsophere:

Michelle Malkin is loving every second of it:

Ouch, stop, stop. Sides. Splitting.

Now as for Ed Morrissey; He is still trying to figure out what to call it:

A facilitator!  That’s certainly more pleasant than “pimp”.  I prefer the Night Shift term “love broker,” which reasonably applies between lobbyists and the White House — and for that matter, between the press and the White House, too.

Poor Ed. Someone could be selling crack outside his front door; and he still would never stop smiling and being kind to them. It’s that whole Catholic upbringing thing, and no, I do not mean that as an insult either. The man makes makes my sorry protestant self, look quite bad at times. 😳  Every Catholic I know, is just like that too. Scares the living bejeezes out of me. I mean, the world could be on the brink of nuclear annihilation; and Ed would still be there, holding his balloon and smiling.  I can’t say I have not heard Ed get aggressive, I did once; Ed was on Mitch Berg’s Show once, and some idiot tried calling in to argue with Ed over something; and basically tried to call Ed a liar over something. Ed turned on the man, I had never seen him like that. It was quite amazing to behold. 😮

Anyhow, Ta-nehisi Coates is quite surprised, but gives the news guys the benefit of the doubt:

I genuinely believe that the newsroom staff could not have known that the marketing department was out promising lobbyists access to them in exchange for cash. I also have no idea why any White House officials would allow themselves to be used for such a purpose. If there aren’t already laws forbidding high-ranking officials from taking part in something like this, there should be.

Sister Toldjah Says:

But even though it’s not exactly surprising, that doesn’t make their latest attempt at cashing in on their pro-Obama bias any less distasteful. Hell, for that matter, the liberal McClatchy news outlet been working hard at making money on Obama’s election for months now via selling a book full of Obama glossies and articles taken and written on the campaign trail, as well as a DVD commemorating his “historic run.” Gee – no wonder they gave him such fawning coverage last year. Liberal bias + the need to raise $$=a complete loss of critical objectivity. Follow the money.

Quite true and if anyone’s looked at the New York Times as of late; they know that this is perfectly true. Talk about over the tank hank! 😮

Damn, even the DailyKos folks are not to impressed with this either!:

This comes at remarkable time for the Post, really, with columnist Dana Milbank just having whispered to the Huffington Post’s Nico Pitney that he was “such a d*ck” during their televised battle over newspaper versus blogger ethics.

Perhaps, for an extra ten grand, they’ll bring Milbank into the salon, to whisper to you that, “you’re such a rich d*ck.”

Heh… Too funny! 😆

Pandagon quips:

That’s the critical difference between blogs as media watchers and major media itself – as much as big media might like it, bloggers have neither the ability nor the desire to engage in the sort of ethical lapses that are available to outlets like the Washington Post every day.  We may sit in our mothers’ basements watching torrented Thundercats episodes, but we do it honestly.

Uh, I haven’t watched Thundercats since I was like, uh, 14 years old? Also, Liberal Bloggers, Honest? Since when? Tell that to Sarah Palin, Please. 🙄

Even Reason Magazine is not amused. When the Capitalist Libertarians cry fowl, you know you are, uh, Screwed. 😛

Anyhow, the “Off the Record Solon’s” are now canceled. Seeing that the story was exposed.  Paraphrasing a common line from the “Scooby Doo” show; “and I would have gotten away with it, if it were not for those meddling bloggers!”

Good job gents, all the way…around? 😛

President Teleprompter tries to take credit for Navy Seal rescue

This is just too rich, the Washington Post in it’s slobbering love affair with the Teleprompter in Chief is now trying to say that Obama is directly responsible for the rescue of the Ship Captain. Here’s the slobbering quote, if you can stomach such tripe:

It was one of the earliest tests of the new American president — a small military operation off the coast of a Third World nation. But as President Bill Clinton found out in October 1993, even minor failures can have long-lasting consequences.

Clinton’s efforts to land a small contingent of troops in Haiti were rebuffed, for the world to see, by a few hundred gun-toting Haitians. As the USS Harlan County retreated, so did the president’s reputation.

For President Obama, last week’s confrontation with Somali pirates posed similar political risks to a young commander in chief who had yet to prove himself to his generals or his public.

But the result — a dramatic and successful rescue operation by U.S. Special Operations forces — left Obama with an early victory that could help build confidence in his ability to direct military actions abroad.

Throughout the past four days, White House officials played down Obama’s role in the hostage drama. Until yesterday, he made no public statements about the pirates.

In fact, aides said yesterday, Obama had been briefed 17 times since he returned from his trip abroad, including several times from the White House Situation Room. And without giving too many details, senior White House officials made it clear that Obama had provided the authority for the rescue.

It goes on a bit, but I am not going to quote any more of it. Sweet Jesus on a tea bag already! They act like Obama was the one with the gun, and who pulled the trigger. Heck, even Marc Ambinder knows the real deal and even HE sees the stupidity in the WaPo’s Article, Mark weighs in:

Perhaps I’m reading this wrong, but I’m fairly certain that the pirate drama and its resolution says absolutely nothing about President Obama. You could make the case that the White House wants to show that Obama is deliberate and cautious when it comes to authorizing military force — fine — but this was a hostage rescue mission, the U.S. has specially-trained counterterrorist forces for precisely this sort of thing, and military aciton was almost inevitable. Really, what this weekend’s drama was, was a test of the National Command Authority, the NSC’s ability to communicate with commanders in the crisis, and some good field training for Navy SEALs.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus, for someone with a ounce of clarity! Someone in the Main Stream Media has an once of brain!

Okay, fine, I will give President Bambi Teleprompter a little credit, he gave the order, big fucking deal! It was the Navy Seals that did the fucking job. That fucking Magic Negro did not do a fucking thing, except pet his fucking dog and admire himself in the fucking mirror until the job was done. So liberals, wise the hell up, okay? Quit trying to make your little plastic messiah more than he really is, okay? Because honestly, the rest of thinking America is getting a little sick from the smell of the fucking manure your spreading. Seriously.

Update: Charm this, dickweed. Typical asshole liberal; when they cannot win a fucking argument, they start the slams. Well, Fuck ’em. They elected that Teleprompter reader piece of shit, now deal with the fucking criticism. I don’t remeber the damn left licking George W. Bush’s asshole that hard. (Douche Nozzle as he was, but still… fuckin’ aye already…)

An Interesting Movie

I post this because I believe that it is interesting. Alex Jones has always struck me as a kook. Someone amongst the “Tin Foil Hat” crowd. However, it is something interesting to watch.

Enjoy…

What do you think? Do you think that there is any truth to this?

This is America and not fascist Germany and I have the RIGHT to express my opinions about the President and his fascist polices. You liberals don’t like it? TOUGH SHIT! 😡

History about the song and concert

New Lyrics:

Barry’s Farm

(Sung to the tune of Maggie’s Farm by Bob Dylan)

Written by Paleo Pat

I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
Well, I wake up in the morning,
Fold my hands and pray that I might keep my gain.
I got a bill full of Taxes
That are drivin’ me insane.
It’s a shame the way he makes me tip the whore.
Naw, I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.

I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Law’s no more.
I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Law’s no more.
Well, he hands you a Dollar,
Taxes you a dime,
Looks at you with a grin
While robbin’ you fuckin’ Blind,
Then he taxes you every time you open the door.
I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Laws no more.

I ain’t gonna be a slave for Barry’s Government no more.
No, I ain’t be a Slave for Barry’s Government no more.
Well, he puts a Tax Bill
in your face just for kicks.
His White House
It is made out of Bricks.
The Secret Service stands around his door.
Ah, I ain’t gonna be a slave for Barry’s Government no more.

I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.
No, I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.
Well, she talks to all the people
About Equality and Race and Law.
All the while the workin’ people
Are payin’ for other peoples bad calls
She’s a lying thief, but she says her honesty stands tall.
Naw, I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.

I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
Well, I try my best
To do the best I can,
But everybody wants you
To pay thier bills for them.
They eat steak while you slave and I just get bored.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more

The Secret to winning the war on terrorism in Afghanistan —- Viagra.

I must confess, I laughed, quite hard when I read this. 😛

Via the Washington Post:

The Afghan chieftain looked older than his 60-odd years, and his bearded face bore the creases of a man burdened with duties as tribal patriarch and husband to four younger women. His visitor, a CIA officer, saw an opportunity, and reached into his bag for a small gift.

Four blue pills. Viagra.

“Take one of these. You’ll love it,” the officer said. Compliments of Uncle Sam.

The enticement worked. The officer, who described the encounter, returned four days later to an enthusiastic reception. The grinning chief offered up a bonanza of information about Taliban movements and supply routes — followed by a request for more pills.

For U.S. intelligence officials, this is how some crucial battles in Afghanistan are fought and won. While the CIA has a long history of buying information with cash, the growing Taliban insurgency has prompted the use of novel incentives and creative bargaining to gain support in some of the country’s roughest neighborhoods, according to officials directly involved in such operations.

In their efforts to win over notoriously fickle warlords and chieftains, the officials say, the agency’s operatives have used a variety of personal services. These include pocketknives and tools, medicine or surgeries for ailing family members, toys and school equipment, tooth extractions, travel visas, and, occasionally, pharmaceutical enhancements for aging patriarchs with slumping libidos, the officials said.

“Whatever it takes to make friends and influence people — whether it’s building a school or handing out Viagra,” said one longtime agency operative and veteran of several Afghanistan tours. Like other field officers interviewed for this article, he spoke on the condition of anonymity when describing tactics and operations that are largely classified.

[….]

After a long conversation through an interpreter, the retired operator began to probe for ways to win the man’s loyalty. A discussion of the man’s family and many wives provided inspiration. Once it was established that the man was in good health, the pills were offered and accepted.

Four days later, when the Americans returned, the gift had worked its magic, the operative recalled.

“He came up to us beaming,” the official said. “He said, ‘You are a great man.’ “

“And after that we could do whatever we wanted in his area.”

Hey, Whatever works I say.  Although, I’m not sure what is more funny. The story itself, of some of the hilarious comments over at WaPo’s Site.

The Automotive Bailouts: The Other Side of the Story

Update: I posted this for one reason and one reason alone, Washington D.C. will hand over 4 BILLION dollars to Wall Street banks and not even flinch, but when Detroit needs help, they are like “You need a plan.” I am not saying that the companies are not at fault. But it just strikes me as pretty damned funny that Wall St. Gets that help and Detroit gets told to go fuck themselves, in essence. So, Yeah, I’m a little pissed off and a bit jaded at this point. There’s a fine line between reporting the facts and desperation

….and wise is the man, that knows the difference between the two.

Someone needs to tell that to the Washington Post.

The Washington Post reports:

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office,
charging a “per diem” allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.

The governor also has charged the state for travel expenses to take her children on official out-of-town missions. And her husband, Todd,
has billed the state for expenses and a daily allowance for trips he makes on official business for his wife.

Asked Monday about the official policy on charging for children’s travel expenses, Garnero said: “We cover the expenses of anyone who’s
conducting state business. I can’t imagine kids could be doing that.”

The problem with that, in the same article it says:

Palin, who earns $125,000 a year, claimed and received $16,951 as her allowance, which officials say was permitted because her
official “duty station” is Juneau, according to an analysis of her travel documents by The Washington Post.

Gubernatorial spokeswoman Sharon Leighow said Monday that Palin’s expenses are not unusual and that, under state policy, the first family
could have claimed per diem expenses for each child taken on official business but has not done so.

“As a matter of protocol, the governor and the first family are expected to attend community events across the state,” she said. “It’s
absolutely reasonable that the first family participates in community events.”

The state finance director, Kim Garnero, said Alaska law exempts the governor’s office from elaborate travel regulations. Said Leighow: “The
governor is entitled to a per diem, and she claims it.”

and about her kids:

Leighow noted that under state policy, all of the governor’s children are entitled to per diem expenses, even her infant son. “The first
family declined the per diem [for] the children,” Leighow said. “The amount that they had declined was $4,461, as of August 5.”

and the money quote:

Gov. Palin has spent far less on her personal travel than her predecessor: $93,000 on airfare in 2007, compared with $463,000 spent
the year before by her predecessor, Frank Murkowski. He traveled often in an executive jet that Palin called an extravagance during her
campaign. She sold it after she was sworn into office.

Now, she didn’t sell it on E-Bay, she sold it through a broker, at a loss no less, but this idiotic stuff, is just that, idiotic. There’s no scandal here. She took the money, because she was entitled to it.

Looks like the MSM is really desperate for a story and they went with this. They’re channeling the New York Times here, and it could come back to haunt them.

So Much for all that Democrat Party Unity…..

According to Hillary, everything is just okie dokie, hope change and all that:

“Every one of us could stand up and recite all the reasons why we must elect Barack. The Supreme Court is at stake; our educational system needs the right kind of change. We’ve got to become energy independent; we have to create millions of new green collar jobs. We’ve got so much work to do around the world."

"None of that will happen if John McCain is in the White House. I just want to make it absolutely clear we cannot afford four more years of George W. Bush’s failed policies in America and that’s what we would get with John McCain."

However, The Washington Post reports:

A number of Sen. Hillary Clinton’s top advisers will not be staying in Denver long enough to hear Barack Obama accept the nomination for
president, according to sources familiar with their schedules.

Clinton will deliver her speech Tuesday night. She will hold a private meeting with her top financial supporters Wednesday at noon, and will
thank her delegates at an event that afternoon. Former president Bill Clinton will speak that night. Several of Hillary Clinton’s supporters
are then planning to leave town. Among them, Terry McAuliffe, Clinton’s campaign chairman, and longtime supporters Steve Rattner and Maureen
White. Another of Clinton’s top New York fundraisers, Alan Patricof, did not make the trip to Denver.

Robert Zimmerman, a Clinton supporter who is trying now to navigate between the two camps, will be staying for Obama’s speech. But he said
in an interview that it would be unrealistic to expect there would not still be some tension between the two camps — he noted that the same
was true with supporters of Gary Hart and, to a lesser extent, Howard Dean.

"This convention provides a very important opportunity for the Obama campaign to bond with the constituencies that supported Hillary Clinton," Zimmerman said. "It’s not about Barack or Hillary. It’s about bringing in the people here who voted for Hillary Rodham Clinton. Senator Obama and Senator Biden are, without question, qualified to do that."

While the words of the Democratic Party might be Hope, Change and Unity. Their actions say a totally different story. Which is sad. I feel that if you are going to say something, mean it. Don’t say something and mean something else. It is hypocritical.

This could be a problem for Biden

Just when you think you know a guy…. Stuff like this comes out…

This via the Washington Post:

A son and a brother of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) are accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went sour, court records show.

The
Democratic vice presidential candidate’s son Hunter, 38, and brother
James, 59, assert instead that their former partner defrauded them by
misrepresenting his experience in the hedge fund industry and
recommending that they hire a lawyer with felony convictions.

The
legal actions have been playing out in New York State Supreme Court
since 2007, and they focus on Hunter and James Biden’s involvement in
Paradigm Companies LLC, a hedge fund group. Hunter Biden, a Washington
lobbyist, briefly served as president of the firm.

A lawsuit
filed by their former partner Anthony Lotito Jr. asserts in court
papers that the deal was crafted to get Hunter Biden out of lobbying
because his father was concerned about the impact it would have on his bid for the White House. Biden was running for the Democratic nomination at the time the suit was filed.

Hunter Biden was made president with an annual salary of $1.2 million, despite his inexperience in the hedge fund industry,
the lawsuit said. Before that, he had been part of the Washington law
firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair, which earned $1.76 million in
lobbying revenue in the first half of 2006, according to Congressional
Quarterly’s CQ MoneyLine. One of its biggest clients is the National
Association of Shareholder and Consumer Attorneys, a District-based
group representing law firms specializing in investment and corporate
law.

Hunter Biden is one of many children and relatives of
prominent members of Congress who have made their careers as lobbyists.
He returned to lobbying after less than a year with Paradigm.

Lotito’s
lawsuit alleges that James Biden called him in January 2006 to arrange
a job for Hunter Biden. It says James Biden told him that his brother
(Sen. Biden) “was concerned with the
impact that Hunter’s lobbying activities might have on his expected
campaign for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination,”
and,
“Biden told Lotito that, in light of these concerns, his brother had
asked him to seek Lotito’s assistance in finding employment for Hunter
in a non-lobbying capacity.”

However, what is not being quoted by most of the anti-obama Blogs is:

The campaign of Sens. Barack Obama and Biden declined to comment on the case, referring questions to Nicholas Gravante Jr., a lawyer representing Hunter and James Biden. Gravante said assertions that Joseph Biden told his brother he was concerned about his son’s lobbying are “absolutely false.”

“This lawsuit has nothing to do with Joe Biden, and there is absolutely no truth to those allegations,” Gravante said. “It is a business dispute between former partners. The suit is baseless.

Brian C. Wille, an attorney for Lotito, said the lawsuit alleges no wrongdoing by Sen. Biden, only that his concerns set in motion the business deal.

“There was a concern that Hunter Biden’s role as a lobbyist would have an impact on the senator’s proposed presidential run,” Wille said. “That’s what James Biden told Mr. Lotito. . . . Was it true? Who knows? There is no allegation the senator was involved in any of these events.”

In an affidavit, Hunter Biden said his father had nothing to do with the deal and that it is Lotito who swindled the Bidens.

He said Lotito lied about being a “fully licensed and accredited securities professional” with hedge fund experience.

In addition, he said Lotito recommended a lawyer to vet the business deal who was under investigation and was ultimately convicted on several felony charges of conspiracy and wire and mail fraud in a scheme to steal millions from a computer company.

So, before anyone jumps to any conclusions. Be sure you read the entire story, before you pass judgment.

It is really sad that WaPo would even put out this story in an effort to derail Biden’s popularity or to bring doubt into the minds of those voting. It speaks to the sick and sad state of our Main Stream Media.

My Thoughts on the Keith Olbermann and Dana Milbank Split

Yes, I have seen Keith Olbermann’s entry over at the Kos. Overall, I think it speaks to Olbermann’s integrity in the business. Dana Milbank obviously distorted a quote for personal gain and that put him at odds with Keith.

The argument that MSNBC and Keith are in the tank for Obama is naïve and simplistic at best. That is the narrow view of the whole situation. Keith was just looking out for the integrity of his show; Keith knew that if he did not call Milbank on this, people on the left and the right would ridicule him. Therefore, Keith did the smartest thing possible, damage control. Keith held Dana’s feet to the proverbial fire. Milbank seeing that the world was against him, made a new deal with another network.

From reading the reactions, everyone seems to think that Keith did the right thing, and the Bloggers are saying that Olbermann is in the can for Obama; again, that is the narrow view of the whole situation. One Hillary shill thinks it was just downright horrible; however, this is the same moronic idiot, which claimed there was a Michelle Obama “Whitey” tape, which we have still not seen.

Shocka! Obama is beginning to believe his own hype….

This could be dangerous for the Obamassiah….

From the Trail:

In his closed door meeting with House Democrats Tuesday night, presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama delivered a real zinger, according to a witness, suggesting that he was beginning to believe his own hype.

Not surprising at all. With statements like this:

Obama was waxing lyrical about last week’s trip to Europe, when he concluded, according to the meeting attendee, “this is the moment, as Nancy [Pelosi] noted, that the world is waiting for.”

and….

The 200,000 souls who thronged to his speech in Berlin came not just for him, he told the enthralled audience of congressional representatives. “I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions,” he said, according to the source.

Meh… Oh, he’s a symbol alright, a symbol of Commie Liberalism. He’s also a symbol of the Unconstitutional Civil Right act signed in 1968, by a bunch of Commie Liberals, who felt it was the Government’s place to interfere with a state issue….and we’ve been paying for the tragic mistake, ever since.

A article that I think everyone needs to read.

I think all Americans should read this.

“Obama ain’t black.”

I turned to look over my shoulder to see who had uttered that ridiculous statement.

“Pardon Me?” I squinted at the dark-skinned man who had just interjected himself into my over-coffee conversation with my buddy, Kevin.

“Obama ain’t black.” He said again more matter-of-factly as he walked around the porcelain dividing wall and stood at our table where he could be more active in our conversation.

“My name’s Andree,” he said as he extended his hand. “I couldn’t help but hear what you boys had been discussin’ and I don’t mean to stick my nose in where it don’t belong, but I couldn’t leave without settin’ you straight. Obama ain’t black.”

I looked at Kevin as he shifted nervously in his seat, not sure how to take this visitor to our table.

“Well, have a seat Andree,” somewhat trying to judge the book by its cover. “I’m Dave, but most folks call me Coach, and this is Kevin.” Kevin extended his hand politely.——- Click the link to read the rest of Conveniently Black by Dave Daubenmire (via NewsWithViews.com

I will simply say the following, that it is pretty telling when Obama is doing better in White America, out in places where blacks are in rare supply, than he is in the more urban communities.

I don’t have much to add to this article… Because Dave says it all in this article. Enjoy.

Washington Post SLAMS Barack Obama on his Iraq plan…

I’d be willing to bet that Barry’s behind is bit sore today…

A stinging Editorial from the Washington Post on Barry’s Iraq Plan:

BARACK OBAMA yesterday accused President Bush and Sen. John McCain of rigidity on Iraq: “They said we couldn’t leave when violence was up, they say we can’t leave when violence is down.” Mr. Obama then confirmed his own foolish consistency. Early last year, when the war was at its peak, the Democratic candidate proposed a timetable for withdrawing all U.S. combat forces in slightly more than a year. Yesterday, with bloodshed at its lowest level since the war began, Mr. Obama endorsed the same plan. After hinting earlier this month that he might “refine” his Iraq strategy after visiting the country and listening to commanders, Mr. Obama appears to have decided that sticking to his arbitrary, 16-month timetable is more important than adjusting to the dramatic changes in Iraq.

Mr. Obama’s charge against the Republicans was not entirely fair, since Mr. Bush has overseen the withdrawal of five American brigades from Iraq this year, and Mr. McCain has suggested that he would bring most of the rest of the troops home by early 2013. Mr. Obama’s timeline would end in the summer of 2010, a year or two before the earliest dates proposed recently by members of the Iraqi government. The real difference between the various plans is not the dates but the conditions: Both the Iraqis and Mr. McCain say the withdrawal would be linked to the ability of Iraqi forces to take over from U.S. troops, as they have begun to do. Mr. Obama’s strategy allows no such linkage — his logic is that a timetable unilaterally dictated from Washington is necessary to force Iraqis to take responsibility for the country.

At the time he first proposed his timetable, Mr. Obama argued — wrongly, as it turned out — that U.S. troops could not stop a sectarian civil war. He conceded that a withdrawal might be accompanied by a “spike” in violence. Now, he describes as “an achievable goal” that “we leave Iraq to a government that is taking responsibility for its future — a government that prevents sectarian conflict and ensures that the al-Qaeda threat which has been beaten back by our troops does not reemerge.” How will that “true success” be achieved? By the same pullout that Mr. Obama proposed when chaos in Iraq appeared to him inevitable.

[…]

“What’s missing in our debate,” Mr. Obama said yesterday, “is a discussion of the strategic consequences of Iraq.” Indeed: The message that the Democrat sends is that he is ultimately indifferent to the war’s outcome — that Iraq “distracts us from every threat we face” and thus must be speedily evacuated regardless of the consequences. That’s an irrational and a historical way to view a country at the strategic center of the Middle East, with some of the world’s largest oil reserves. Whether or not the war was a mistake, Iraq’s future is a vital U.S. security interest. If he is elected president, Mr. Obama sooner or later will have to tailor his Iraq strategy to that reality.

Ouch! That had to hurt. As I pointed out on Monday, Barry’s plan is just more of the same, but ever so slightly modified to somewhat reflect the conditions on the ground. However, what the Washington Post is getting him on, is his continuing insistence that he is pulling us out, no matter if we’re winning or not. I agree, pulling us out of Iraq, irregardless if we went in there on bad information or not, is just bad policy. It shows a lack of personal responsiblity, which is, as I have said repeatedly, what the Democrats and especially the far left are infamous for.

Gotta love our Liberal Main Stream Media

It seems that according to various British media sources, the United States scored a major victory in Iraq.

Too bad the vast majority of Americans, unless they read blogs, won’t hear about it. That’s because the United States Liberal controlled media is too busy trying to tell Americans that the war in Iraq is lost and that we’re losing, and so forth.

What further proof do we need, that the Liberals in this country, hate America, Our Military and the values that we conservatives hold dear?

It is no wonder that places like the New York Times and other dead wood media sources are losing money left and right and will eventually be put out of business.

The Silence of these media sources speak volumes to me.

Another Stupid Obama smear….

Yeah, the Neo-Con goons will talk about some stupid loan Non-Story, But they’ll completely ignore the fact the United States tortured detainees with techniques they learned from China.

Yeah, I read it, enough to know that it is big on accusations and little on substance. With a mention of Rezko tossed in for good measure. Kind of like the majority of the stories coming out about Obama.

When Obama spanks the collective asses of the G.O.P. in November, it will be because of the blatant stupidity of the Neo-Conservative right that has milinged the Conservative cause in this country.

Quite frankly, I wish November were tommorow.
