Is John McCain trying to control the media on his Campaign plane?

Not a good way to endure yourself to the media, John….

Via Michael Calderone’s Blog @ Politico.com

Time columnist Joe Klein, who’s been a forceful critic of the  McCain Campaign (and already said he’s unwilling to accept a post-election apology), has found himself without a seat on the McCain or Palin planes the past four months.

In June, Klein was kept from boarding the McCain plane over what they said had been a security issue. More recently, when trying to fly on the Palin plane last week, Klein told Politico over e-mail that the campaign’s response was he “couldn’t be accommodated at this time.”“I’ve done nine presidential campaigns and this is the first time this has ever happened to me,” Klein said. “I was even allowed—I won’t say welcomed—on the Clinton plane in the summer of 1996 after I was revealed as the author of Primary Colors.”

“I rode with McCain during the primaries, but not since I asked him—at a June press conference—whether he really believed Ahmadinejad was the ‘leader’ of Iran, since he has no control over foreign policy or the nuclear program,” Klein continued. “That was when they suddenly told me that I hadn’t called in time to get secret service clearance. (I had called more than a day in advance.)"

This is not very smart at all. I mean, McCain has every right to allow whom he wants on his campaign plane, but what kind of message does it sent to the media, when you disallow someone on your plane that either criticizes you or campaign?

Some say that this is sign that John McCain is not in control of his campaign, but I disagree with this totally, I think that man is totally in control and knows what he is doing. Not that I agree with it. But I don’t think John McCain is that stupid. I think McCain’s got some Oddball idea that this is making him look like some sort of a Maverick. However, I think it will seen more as fascist in nature.

I mean, could you even remotely imagine the outrage, if Barack Obama decided to just toss FOX NEWS off his campaign plane, because he did not like something that they said about him? Surprise It would not be pretty. Worried

Somehow or another, other than the blogs, I doubt this will get much airtime.

The Obligatory Obama taking time off to be with ill grandmother posting

For the record, I think what Obama is doing, is totally awesome.

Considering what is going on with my Dad right now, I have to agree with this guy here.

Anyone who would knowingly insult a man’s dying grandmother and the man who’s showing the compassion to go and see her, especially at end stretch of the presidential campaign, well, that person ought to be shot.

Can you see now, why I am not a Republican? Not to mention John McCain’s insulting comments, during a time like this, I can only believe that is going to hurt him in the polls.

I’ve made my share of mistakes during my tenure of being a Blogger, I admit that. But to knowingly insult someone like that. It simply shows your colors man. I’m sorry, I cannot agree with that.

Yes, This is wrong too! – Tires slashed at an Obama Rally

For the record, I do think stuff like this is wrong too, very wrong. Angry

This story via the FayObeserver:

Someone slashed the tires of at least 30 vehicles parked outside the Crown Coliseum on Sunday during a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, authorities said.

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating. The tires were cut while people were inside the Crown Coliseum listening to speeches, said Maj. E. Wright of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Many of the damaged vehicles were parked on Wilkes Road. Representatives from Obama and Sen. John McCain’s campaigns said they were unaware of the acts.

Susan Lagana, the North Carolina communications director for Obama, said it was extremely disappointing and unfortunate that “people would have to experience something like that.”

Mario Diaz, communications director for McCain, did not respond to a call late Sunday.

Sarah Revis, who lives on Wilkes Road, said the slashed tires left several women, including a single mother and a toddler, stranded and upset. At least four tow trucks were sent to move the vehicles from the Crown, Revis said.

“This is an embarrassment to this city and to me as a citizen,” Revis said. “I’ve seen women out here crying and men cussing. This is a crying shame.”

Lynne Steenstra said she thought that the slashings were scare tactics designed to keep her and others from supporting Obama.

Even though it cost her roughly $120 to get her Dodge Caravan towed and fixed, Steenstra said the act would not intimidate her from voting.

“It hasn’t deterred us one bit,” Steenstra said. “It has only encouraged us more. I just hope whoever did this pays the price.”

Yes, I do believe that this is wrong, damned wrong. Not only is it destruction of personal property, it could very well be voter intimidation. We live in the United States of America, not Russia. We are supposed to be able to vote for whomever we wish, this sort of thing, whether it is being done by Liberals OR Conservatives is wrong and should be dealt with as harshly as the law allows.

The sobering truth is that there is hate on both sides of the Political fence, and folks, I’m just going to say it, it’s damn wrong and it needs to stop.

I am sad to report that we will most likely see more of this as November 4’th approaches, I hope that McCain and Obama do the right thing and condemn these actions. While politics is a contact sport and this election is an important one. This sort of petty nonsense is totally uncalled for.

We are Americans my friends, let’s not forget this. Vandalism is not the way to solve our nations problems or to settle this election.

Outrage! – Now the Liberal loons are shooting at McCain’s bus!

This comes via Mark Williams:

(Sunday, October 19 – Filed by Mark Williams in Raton, New Mexico with the Stop Obama Tour)  We learned at this morning’s Stop Obama Rally here that the McCain/Palin Straight Talk Express came through town yesterday.  It arrived with a window shattered by a .22 caliber weapon.  It had also been hit by an unknown number of paint balls from a paint ball gun or guns.  There were reportedly no injuries and neither candidate was on board.

One local man who saw the damage and spoke with the McCain/Palin staffers said the attack(s) had occurred in southern New Mexico that same day.  The Express is traveling the country independent of the candidates, handing out campaign materials.

Sarah Palin is stumping in of all places Roswell, New Mexico today and then roughly back the way we came with an event at the Henderson, Nevada Pavilion tomorrow and a stop in Elko, Nevada.

Now had this been Bambi’s (Obama’s) bus, this would be ALL OVER the news 24/7. But because it is McCain’s. It’s no big deal and nobody cares.

Really classy Liberals, REALLY CLASSY! AngryRolling Eyes

More Liberal Knee Jerk, Race Baiting stupidity!

This is too funny…. You cannot even criticize the Liberals without getting tagged a racist.

Michelle Malkin writes an article telling about what happened when the Government of Zimbabwe, Africa decided to "Spread the Wealth Around".

Well, the Liberals are having none of this, The Blogsophere’s resident Negro, Oliver Willis, is now accusing Malkin of being racist.

I’m with Darleen Click, I think Oliver needs to lay off the Cheetos and the Kool-Aid. Because the stuff is going to his head and affecting his ability to reason properly.

Then again, when your dealing with fascists…

Update: Ed Morrissey articulates this subject a bit better, I hate to scrape the entire posting, But this is great:

A few points should be made clear.  White owners controlled a vastly disproportionate amount of land in the former colony of Rhodesia, and some land reforms were inevitable if the nation was to learn to live peacefully.  Families like the Herbsts were likely to lose some of their land no matter what kind of government followed Rhodesia in the post-colonial era.  A rational land-reform plan based on free-market principles and compensation for private-property owners could have provided a stable transition to a more prosperous and united future for Zimbabwe.

Instead, Robert Mugabe robbed landowners at gunpoint, and murdered more than a few to make evictions less troublesome for the rest.  In the name of redistribution and fairness, Mugabe stole land that had fed most of the continent from the farmers who had the expertise and resources for production and gave it to cronies and tribal allies who didn’t.

This produced depressingly predictable results.  The Soviet Union and communist China had conducted similar land purges earlier in the century, and they had resulted in massive famines, economic collapse, and even greater oppression to stop the people from revolting against the government.  In Zimbabwe, the scenario has unfolded in the same manner.  Instead of being a major agricultural exporter, Zimbabwe now relies on food aid to keep its people from starving while its land lies fallow.  Their economy now experience nine-figure inflation rates, making its currency suitable only for wallpaper.

And what has been Mugabe’s response?  Even tighter government control of capital, making the situation even worse.

Redistributionism through capital seizure has always failed to produce a livable economy.  Where capital can flee, it does.  Where it cannot, it disappears into massive government bureaucracies and into the pockets of cronies and political allies.  Zimbabwe is a more extreme example, but still instructive, especially for the reaction of redistributionists when they face failure.  They never revert back to the principle of private property, but instead accelerate their confiscatory practices, until no capital remains to rebuild their economy.

It’s a failed principle, with numerous examples of catastrophic impact on nations, and uncountable personal examples like the Herbsts.  After a hundred and more years of redistributionist disasters, we should be smart enough to reject the entire notion by now.

I have nothing to add to that. Perfectly put. I guess now Ed will be added to the list of racists that the Liberal Fascists are blackballing. Just like they did me, when I posted something that offended a great deal of them. I wonder if they’ll go after HotAir’s advertisers like they did mine?  Rolling Eyes

As long as we have Liberal fascists in this country, we will never have true freedom of speech? Hate speech my ass. Who defines what is hate and what isn’t?

Dude, where’s MY Union?

I was reading this morning over on a Liberal blog, about the return of the middle class and unions. As a Moderate, I will confess, I have no quarrels with unions. But as a bit of a Conservative, I do criticize them and their double standards.

This entry at firedoglake by someone calling themselves Joe Fish is of interest:

As a member of a union that I have to wonder about sometimes (ALPA, the Airline Pilots Association) I think it’s certainly worthwhile to talk for a minute about the Employee Free Choice Act and the role of unions in building a stronger middle-class and hence stronger America. Why do I wonder about ALPA? More on that in a minute…

A quick and simplistic review for those not old enough to remember the ultimate Federal Union Buster, Ronnie Reagan and his most excellent (in his mind) PATCO adventure. In 1981 the air traffic controllers union decided to go on strike and the controllers were fired by Reagan for violating a federal law banning strikes by governmental unions, although previous strikes by other governmental unions like the Postal Workers had not been punished by terminating their employees. Reagan’s views of unions was the same as virtually every other major republican figure of the 70’s and 80’s; that unions were the creation of the devil and the antithesis of American/Free Market capitalism and thus should be put down like Old Yeller… with a single shot to the head, but without the emotion.

This, of course, is a stretch of the truth and a bit of poetic license. Reagan was forced into the position that he was put in, by the union. Reagan knew that if the air traffic controllers had struck, commerce would have been interrupted and it could have led to a shut down in the economy. Reagan saw that and took action. One must remember, the economy was still shaky from the disastrous Presidency of Jimmy Carter.

Where does this apply to me? My Father is a U.A.W. member, I am very appreciative and grateful for the many great things that the Unions did for him. I am here today, because of that. I am also, as a history buff, very aware of the role that the unions had in the forming of this area here. However, as a man, I must ask the unpopular question, asked by many of the children of the Union members:

What exactly has the unions done for me?  The sad, but truthful answer is, nothing at all. Has the union ever approached my Father and offered me a job in the plant, where my dad worked, No. The closest thing I ever came to getting a job offer from the Union, was G.M. sending me for a test to see if I had the smarts to work for the company. Me and 10,000 other people. The test I took, there were people at this testing session with 2 year college degrees, who were having trouble with it. Needless to say, I never got a call to work for the company.

The sad truth is that the unions have simply become protectionists. There was a time when the unions had a legitimate role in defending auto workers from the out of control hiring and firing polices of the auto companies here in Detroit. But because of the greater control and stricter labor laws in America. Unions have lost their value. Not to mention the various trade agreements, passed by the Democratic President Bill Clinton, which was viewed by many unions as a “selling up the river”, caused the unions to lose their foothold in the organized labor movement.

This is not to say that I think that unions should be eliminated, not at all. I think if the unions want to be brought back into the mainstream and taken seriously again, the Democrats need to work to make them strong again. Like renegotiating trade agreements and if said countries will not, Op out of them. This was a early campaign promise of Obama. I wonder if he will honor it? This would cause the unions to become strong again. Also, giving tax breaks to companies who hire new blood, without all the restrictions, would be a bonus as well.

So, until this, I ask the question; Dude, where’s my union?

Stay Classy Jon Steward

Hmmmmm. I wonder if Barry would approve of this?

Via The Weekly Standard

Speaking to a college audience in Boston, Mass. Friday, "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart used his stand-up routine to respond to Sarah Palin’s comments about "pro-America" parts of the country, shedding the profanity restrictions that govern his Comedy Central show.

"She said that small towns, that’s the part of the country she really likes going to because that’s the pro-America part of the country. You know, I just want to say to her, just very quickly: [expletive] you," Stewart said to raucous applause.

Palin addressed a North Carolina fund-raiser Thursday night saying, "We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. We believe…that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, very pro-America areas of this great nation.

I can understand him not liking Sarah Palin, that is a given, he is a Liberal. But is all the nastiness needed? I know, It’s comedy, that’s not lost on me. But why is it that it’s the only the Liberals laughing?

I think that this is a sign of what’s to come, if Obama Wins.

Depressing Quotes of the Day: Rush Limbaugh and Redstate Prove my Points

Remember what I wrote earlier about Colin Powell’s endorsement of Obama?

Well, it seems that Rush Limbaugh and someone over at RedState has basically proven my point.

Rush Limbaugh wrote to Jonathan Martin the following:

“Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race,” Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. “OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I’ll let you know what I come up with.”

As for Powell’s statement of concern this morning about the sort of Supreme Court justices a President McCain might appoint, Limbaugh wrote: “I was also unaware of his dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia. I guess he also regrets Reagan and Bush making him a four-star [general] and secretary of state and appointing his son to head the FCC. Yes, let’s hear it for transformational figures.”

and over at Redstate:

So Colin Powell has endorsed Obama. Let’s see, Powell is pro-abortion. So is Obama. Powell is pro-affirmative action. So is Obama. Powell has stated repeatedly that tax policy should ensure fairness. Obama likewise wants to “spread the wealth.” The endorsement of Obama only demonstrates what unpaid prognosticators could have told those million dollar a year experts years ago. Powell never was a Republican. He has been aligned with the Democrats from the day of his retirement from service.

On today’s talk show, Powell explains: “I think he is a transformational figure.” THAT’S what I’m afraid of. Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot were all transformational too, Colin.

Another note to moderate Republicans: Hey guys, are you happy with your fellow moderate? No? You should be–this is what you moderates do. They pretend in order to achieve status, and then attack the hand that feeds them–to maintain that status. Yes, you keep telling us that Palin’s conservatism is what is sinking McCain. Really? Do you think that McCain picking another moderate would have changed Powell’s position? If you do, I’ve got a nice bridge to sell you.

Affirmative action is now at its zenith here. A unqualified candidate for president who has never run anything; who has never governed anything; and who has policies precisely on line with Karl Marx–is going to be put into our highest office solely due to his race. Doubt me? Just ask if Obama would be where he is at if he were a white man. The answer is inevitable.

The Republican party must clean house or it is lost.

My goodness, the Republicans are not even trying to hide it anymore. It has went from nuance and inferring to outright blantant racism.  The part I put into red is what really disturbs me. The Republicans and Conservatives are now officially channeling McCarthy. The whole Idea is, if you cannot beat him, you slander him with racism and attempt to paint him, as some sort of communist. It is the oldest trick in the book.

The the guy from Redstate tries to claim that Moderates are ruining his party. What a damn joke. It’s the moderates that have kept the Republican Party from becoming the next Whig Party! Which is right where it is heading now. Some would say and good for it too. Myself, I think it is a sad place that the Republican Party is headed. Change is needed within that party, but not this sort of a change at all.

Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama for President of the United States

My thoughts in a moment, But first the video:

Via MSNBC:

Originally, I was going to word this article much differently. But I scrapped it. This is my take on Colin Powell’s endorsement of Obama.

At first blush, someone like me would think, “Well, he is endorsing him because he is black.” But I personally believe that it goes much deeper than that. As Colin Powell said in this video, the G.O.P. and John McCain’s campaign took a stance in this election that to even me, was disturbing. McCain and the G.O.P. basically decided to paint Obama as a terrorist by proxy.

I have written in the past on this Blog, that I have been totally disgusted at the way that McCain and the Republican Party have been handling this election and how they have painted Obama. Now, before anyone calls me a hypocrite, let me explain, I totally understand that there has been race baiting on the left. But there has also been calls to incite violence on the right as well. This has been fueled by the inferring of the McCain campaign that Obama is a Black Terrorist by proxy. This was a fatal strategy and it could possibly cause McCain to lose hard in the election. To his credit, McCain did switch gears as of recent and began harping on Obama’s statement of “Spread the Wealth”. Which lead to the liberal take down of “Joe the Plumber”.

However, it is this writers opinion, that it is, quite sadly; too little, too late. The damage is done, independents view McCain and Palin as white racists, who are out to smear and discredit a Christian black man, who is running for President. Not to mention that Economy is just not on the side of the Republicans.

Not to mention how the current President ruined it for the Republicans. His out of control spending, the war in Iraq; which is turning around for the good, much to the chagrin of the Liberals. The attorney general scandal, the spying scandal, it just goes on and on. The fact is that this election is not on the side of the Republicans. It is, as I have written many times before, the Reagan Revolution in reverse.

Which beings me to another point I feel the need to make. The Republican Party and the Conservative Movement has to realize something and it is a realization that is quite a painful one for some to swallow. The Reagan Revolution and era in politics is over. We are living in much different times, than we were in 1980. The problem is, most Conservatives still believe that it is 1980! They need to update their message, make it more relevant for this day and age.

To sum this up, I will basically say this, the endorsement of Barack Obama, by a well-known Black Republican should send a message to the Conservative community that you cannot finger a black man, who is running for President of the United States as a terrorist by proxy, because of his middle name, because of his skin color and because of people he has had past relations with. It just does not work. My only hope is, that the Republican Party and the Conservative Movement as a whole is listening to that message.

Update: My favorite quote from this interview was this:

And it is permitted to be said such things as, "Well, you know that Mr. Obama is a Muslim." Well, the correct answer is, he is not a Muslim, he’s a Christian.  He’s always been a Christian.  But the really right answer is, what if he is?  Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer’s no, that’s not America.  Is there something wrong with some seven-year-old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she could be president?

I feel strongly about this particular point because of a picture I saw in a magazine.  It was a photo essay about troops who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.  And one picture at the tail end of this photo essay was of a mother in Arlington Cemetery, and she had her head on the headstone of her son’s grave.  And as the picture focused in, you could see the writing on the headstone.  And it gave his awards–Purple Heart, Bronze Star–showed that he died in Iraq, gave his date of birth, date of death.  He was 20 years old. And then, at the very top of the headstone, it didn’t have a Christian cross, it didn’t have the Star of David, it had crescent and a star of the Islamic faith.  And his name was Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan, and he was an American. He was born in New Jersey.  He was 14 years old at the time of 9/11, and he waited until he can go serve his country, and he gave his life.

The Photo that Colin Powell is referring to is this: (H/T The New Republic)

My friends, this photo says it all. We are all Americans. No matter what Rush Limbaugh or anyone else from the Republican Party might say. While I may have a disdain for those extremist Muslims, who want to destroy this nation, it is these type of Muslims like Kareem Rashad Sultan that give me hope, that the Extremism in the Muslim Religion can be destroyed once and for all.

I really must wonder, can Michelle Bachman look this woman in the eye and say that she is Un-American?

Hmmmmm: Leftist Website posts possible faked threatening voice mails?

As a rule, I am not a overly judgemental person. But something here stinks to the high heavens about this.

The leftist organzation, The People for the American Way’s website Right Wing Watch has posted two supposed voicemail threats leveled towards ACORN on thier website.

Here is what these voicemails said:

“Hi, I was just calling to let you all know that Barack Obama needs to get hung. He’s a fucking nigger, and he’s a piece of shit. You guys are fraudulent, and you need to go to hell. All the niggers on oak trees. They’re gonna get all hung honeys, they’re gonna get assassinated, they’re gonna get killed.

and

“You liberal idiots. Dumb shits. Welfare bums. You guys just fucking come to our country, consume every natural resource there is, and make a lot of babies. That’s all you guys do. And then suck up the welfare and expect everyone else to pay for your hospital bills for your kids. I just say let your kids die. That’s the best move. Just let your children die. Forget about paying for hospital bills for them. I’m not gonna do it. You guys are lowlifes. And I hope you all die.

Yes, these are disgusting, terrible and so forth.

But….

Are they even real? Listening to these voice mails makes me very suspicious. For one, the woman’s voice on the first message sounds like she is a Canadian. It also sounds like she’s reading a script. The second one also sounds like he is reading a script as well. There is truly a lack of emotion in both of these persons voices, the woman, in fact sounds like she is about to crack up laughing at what she is reading.

I do not claim to be an expert at this sort of a thing at all. But something looks and in this case, sounds very suspicious.  After all, If you are a regular reader of this Blog. You already know that the left is very good at race baiting and outright hypocrisy.

I could be wrong, but something here stinks to the high heavens and the FBI should investigate if these recordings were faked or not.

Palin on SNL – I don’t think it was that bad

Yes, I saw Sarah Palin’s little opening skit on SNL tonight.

I thought she did quite well, and Yes, I thought it to be quite funny.

However, there seems to be some who disagree.

John over at the newly redesigned Powerline Blog didn’t like the idea of her even being there:

It’s a mistake, I’m afraid. It’s not that I lack confidence in Governor Palin; I don’t. But I think it’s almost always a mistake to visit an enemy’s home turf without a clear understanding that you are among enemies.

The Saturday Night Live people are Democrats. That’s all there is to it, and they will never give Sarah Palin, or any other Republican, a fair shake. Palin is, of course, more than a match for them in a fair fight. But for a fight to be fair, it must first be acknowledged that it’s a fight. That won’t happen tonight, and it will be almost a miracle if Palin gains from the exposure.

I’m old enough to remember when President Gerald Ford appeared on Saturday Night Live. That night, he was ridiculed as a klutz, in keeping with the image he had among liberals. It was grotesquely unfair: Ford, an all-America football player at Michigan, was undoubtedly the most athletic President of modern times. But reality won’t intrude when your enemy is the editor.

News accounts indicated that the next morning, a shell-shocked Ford summoned his aides and asked who it was who thought it would be a good idea for him to appear on the television show that had been ridiculing him non-stop since he became President. I’m afraid a similar fate awaits Governor Palin.

I must be odd, I don’t consider those in comedy to be the enemy. I do not buy into that whole idea of “Those who disagree with me politically are my enemy” mentality. It causes one to become isolated. Maybe I am naive or just a bit more open minded.

Ed Driscoll, who I think has the coolest Blog design, chimes in:

It wasn’t Ford appearing on Saturday Night Live that was the real problem–it was Ron Nessen, Ford’s press secretary, who hosted the show. And as I noted shortly after President Ford passed away in 2006, in a very long post quoting from a history of SNL, as one of the writers said out of Nessen’s earshot when he agreed to the gig, “The President’s watching. Let’s make him cringe and squirm.”

As John notes, it’s guaranteed that similar thoughts were expressed this week as well.

Interesting historic take on that appearance. Let me be very straight with you all. If John McCain loses this election, I seriously highly doubt that it will have been because of Sarah Palin’s appearance on SNL. It might be because of many other factors, but this will not be one of them.

I will be the first to admit that I’m not much of a SNL watcher, as a rule, but when stuff like this happens, I do tune in. SNL’s comedy is not my bag. I’m more a three stooges or laurel and Hardy type myself. 😀

Just my take on it.

Update: The video is now up over at Huffpo, I tried to snatch the code, wouldn’t work here.  Epic Fail. 🙄

Michelle Bachmann and the Politics of Division

I write this article neither as a Liberal nor as a Conservative. I write this article as an American. I write this as a Caucasian American who holds to a set of Moderate to Right-Libertarian political views. I write this as someone who is quote worried about the direction our Nation is taking. I write this as someone who is heartsick over the deep divisions in the world of politics.

For the first time, since I have been Blogging, I feel the need to speak out against those who hold similar political views as mine. I am referring to the comments that were made by Rep. Michelle Bachmann. Rep. Michelle Bachmann on an appearance on MSNBC’s Hardball said that there were persons in the United States Congress, who held to Anti-American views. She also said that these people should be investigated.

Before I get into why I disapprove of this, let me make some things clear. Contrary to popular belief, my Politics is not as far right as some. In fact, I tend to lean towards the center of some issues. I am a moderate on many issues. Although, when it comes to our Military, My disdain of the Islam Religion, Our Nations Constitution, and a few other things, I am much to the right of some. However, on other issues, I tend to be more of a Libertarian. For example, I do not believe that it is the Governments right to tell a woman what to do with her body.

Now personally on a personal level, I object to Abortion on grounds that it is murder, this is because I am a Christian and I believe that life begins at conception. Nevertheless, on a Political Level, I believe that the United States Government does not have the right to dictate to woman what she can and cannot do with body. Furthermore, I do not believe that the State Government should dictate to a woman what she can and cannot do to her own body.

This is because I believe in personal freedom. I also reject the Conservative Christian idea of turning America into a Theocracy. I also believe in a full wall of separation of Church and State. However, just as well, I believe the woman should be given all the alternatives to terminating a pregnancy, however, if she decides to do so, that is between her and God. Let God be the judge of that woman. I reject the browbeating that the far right gives to those who decide to perform such an action. That sort of abject nonsense goes against the very core freedoms in our Constitution. Those that cannot separate between the political and spiritual realms should not involve themselves in politics at all.

Now do my personal political views of mine make me Anti-American? I think the sane and logical answer to that would be no. Now in the interest of full disclosure, I have little or no use for the far left. I will spare you the reasons for that. I will simply say that I did not leave the Democrat Party, it left me, long ago, especially during this election cycle. However, for me to sit here and write that Democrats were Anti-Americans would be a lesson in abject foolishness. Frankly, Rep. Michelle Bachmann’s comments yesterday did nothing to raise the level of political discourse in this country whatsoever. Rep. Michelle Bachmann was essentially doing a poor imitation of Ann Coulter or at worst channeling Joseph McCarthy. I am fully aware that it was written recently that Joseph McCarthy was correct on some matters; it, in fact, was the destructive behavior of Senator McCarthy that ruined his career.

It is this writer’s opinion that channeling Senator Joseph McCarthy in this desperate hour would be a total and unequivocal disaster to the Republican Party’s cause. It is not lost upon me that the political landscape of the Democratic Party has changed a great deal in the last eight years, Mrs. Katrina Vanden Heuvel ‘s response to the remarks being a perfect example of this. However, the channeling of McCarthyism will do nothing to further the Conservative cause. In fact, it will alienate more than it will help.

Tonight I saw something that I thought I would never see. I saw a famous liberal broadcaster become a sick parody of himself; Keith Olbermann, who has been lauded by the Republicans as the Anti-Christ of the liberal political world tonight went, in this writers opinion, from a professional broadcaster with a bit of a liberal slant to an overpaid journalistic hack.

Keith was reporting or something to that effect, on the roast that Barack Obama and John McCain both attended, which was held for a very good cause. In the course of this roast, John McCain landed some rather good-natured humorous insults at MSNBC and Keith Olbermann. Of course, Keith being the very prideful man that he is felt the need to respond.

Well, needless to say, what follows is a living example of what happens, when you pay a sportscaster five million dollars a year to drone on about the many evils of Conservatism, Capitalism and an unpopular President.

I do believe the show should be renamed MeltDown. Because that is, what the show has become, a slow and painful meltdown of a man, who is most definitely out of his league. Some that say also out of his mind, but I am not one to judge another man’s mental capacity or lack thereof.

The thing most disturbs me is that there absolutely no point to this video, no humor, just propped up broadcaster with a bright light upon him. Which basically describes Keith Olbermann in General. *Rimshot* Hee hee

There was a point, when I respected this man’s journalistic abilities, but sadly that point has quickly evaporated into a mist of doubt and sad shame.

MSNBC should seriously consider reviewing this man’s contract and attempt to salvage what little integrity that they have left and send this overpaid buffoon packing.

While do not believe that Tucker Carlson was any better, at least he brought intelligence to the political discussion. The best this buffoon can do is recite the far left’s talking points.  Between this jug-headed twerp and his mini me Rachel Maddow, I do believe that MSNBC has become of the new liberal mother ship of broadcasting. A title that did once belong to CNN in the 1990’s. In fact, I believe that MSNBC has become the new CNN in political terms.

Who knows, maybe Keith will name me, “Worse Person in the World”. I could get so lucky. Rolling Eyes

If this is what the next four years is going to be like, if Obama wins, America is going to be a very depressing place.

The Liberal Media goes after “Joe the Plumber”

Remember Joe the Plumber that I reluctantly Blogged about earlier? Well, because he had the… ahem… shall we say “Stones” (Surprise) to appear in Barry’s rope line and challenge him on his tax proposals, the Liberal Media is basically ruining the man’s life.

I can relate to poor Joe a bit. After my posting mocking the Left for stoking the racial hatred in this election, which landed me on gawker.com, and gave me my 15 minutes of fame in the Blogosphere; I lost one ad company and two ads from another Ad Company that requested that I remove two Ads from my Blog. The funny thing is, the one ad company that dropped me, I made all of $46.48 with them and the other two advertisers that dropped me, I never made a DIME with them. So, the only thing that the angry left succeeded in doing to me, was removing quite a bit of clutter from my Blog.

Of course, if you bring up the fact that I am, in fact, a former “Left of Center” person and Blogger, If you bring up the fact that I have not had a job since 2005, thanks to the idiotic Democratic Governor here in Michigan, if you bring up the fact that the left has been just as nasty, just as racist and just as stupid as anything that I have ever posted. They run from you, like the America hating, anti-capitalist, terrorist appeasing, cowardly assholes that they are.

As Always Michelle Malkin is on the case, exposing the left’s mission to make a working man’s life a living hell. I hope the Joe files a defamation of character lawsuit against every last one of these media outlets, who are airing his dirty laundry to the world. Because if he has the right lawyer, he could in fact, collect a good amount of money from everyone of these places. I mean, there is enough video tape to prove that he is being assassinated character-wise in the media.

So Joe, I can relate. I’ve been there. It does end, sooner or later. But take my advice, get a damn lawyer and sue the living crap out of these bastards and teach them a lesson; once and for all.

If I could ask Barack Obama one question, it would be, “So Senator Obama, How does it feel to be the most famous black man in America, who ruined the life of a working class White Man?”

Update: Whew! Typo’s and bad grammer… Memo to self, drink coffee BEFORE Blogging in the morning… 😀

Not that it matters that this point, But G.O.P. is going there!

First off we have this:

From the Press Enterprise:

The latest newsletter by an Inland Republican women’s group depicts Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama surrounded by a watermelon, ribs and a bucket of fried chicken, prompting outrage in political circles.

The October newsletter by the Chaffey Community Republican Women, Federated says if Obama is elected his image will appear on food stamps — instead of dollar bills like other presidents. The statement is followed by an illustration of "Obama Bucks" — a phony $10 bill featuring Obama’s face on a donkey’s body, labeled "United States Food Stamps."

The GOP newsletter, which was sent to about 200 members and associates of the group by e-mail and regular mail last week, is drawing harsh criticism from members of the political group, elected leaders, party officials and others as racist.

Oh Brother…. Rolling Eyes Can you get any more stupid? I mean, the left is already stoking the fire of racism in this Election, why help them? You won’t believe what the person that did this is saying:

The group’s president, Diane Fedele, said she plans to send an apology letter to her members and to apologize at the club’s meeting next week. She said she simply wanted to deride a comment Obama made over the summer about how as an African-American he "doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

"It was strictly an attempt to point out the outrageousness of his statement. I really don’t want to go into it any further," Fedele said in a telephone interview Tuesday. "I absolutely apologize to anyone who was offended. That clearly wasn’t my attempt."

Fedele said she got the illustration in a number of chain e-mails and decided to reprint it for her members in the Trumpeter newsletter because she was offended that Obama would draw attention to his own race. She declined to say who sent her the e-mails with the illustration.

She said she doesn’t think in racist terms, pointing out she once supported Republican Alan Keyes, an African-American who previously ran for president.

"I didn’t see it the way that it’s being taken. I never connected," she said. "It was just food to me. It didn’t mean anything else."

She said she also wasn’t trying to make a statement linking Obama and food stamps, although her introductory text to the illustration connects the two: "Obama talks about all those presidents that got their names on bills. If elected, what bill would he be on????? Food Stamps, what else!"

I mean, seriously! She didn’t think that that would be offensive?!?!?! Whoa Boy! Loser

If that was not bad enough, this is happening:

Quote:

In the race’s final stretch, much of the real sludge and slime that floats to the surface will be the work not of the campaigns but of under-the-radar operations run by state parties and the like.

Here, for instance, is a new mailer from the Republican Party of Virginia that has to be seen to be believed. It hits Dems — and by extension, Obama — for wanting to appease terrorists and rogue leaders.

This is why I think this is extremely stupid. The G.O.P. has continually since Obama was selected by the Democrats and even before; beat around the bush that Obama was basically a terrorist by Proxy, because he associated with a 1970’s domestic terrorist. Not only is this stupid, because the project board that Obama served on, with Ayers was ran by a Republican, who was friends with the Reagan Family. In the long run, this was all simply backfire on the G.O.P. and cause Independents to run in the other direction. Besides, did not the Bush Administration send people to Iran to try and appease them?

In the end, however, none of this is going to matter, because have you seen Barack Obama’s numbers? If not, here they are:  (Via FiveThirtyEight.com)

Plus in the polls, Obama leads by 10 Percent.

So, quite honesty? I just do not believe that all the fear-mongering, racism or anything else for that matter is really going to matter at this point. There is just no way in hell that McCain will be able to catch up. He did well last night. But it was, quite sadly; too little, too late.

The Obligatory “Joe The Plumber” posting

My take on “Joe the Plumber” is this; Joe is a snapshot, a representative; if you will, of the typical working class person and small business owner in this country. He works for a company and is thinking about buying the company from the current owner. I’ve seen that many times in my day.

This whole narrative of $250.000 a year being the top 2% or whatever they call it; is nothing more than an idiotic talking point by the left. There are many skilled tradesman that make $250.000 a year, some more, depending on the trade. The idea that Barack Obama wants to tax that upper part of society to pay for the Country’s socialist programs is nothing more than outright class warfare. Which is why that, even I; someone who does NOT have health insurance, someone do does not have a job and has not held once since 2005; will not be voting for Barack Obama; not because he is black, but because he is a socialist Liberal who advocates and will continue to advocate class warfare. His whole “Tax the rich to feed the poor” just does not fly with me.

So, while his little remark about “Tap Dancing” might be a bit off color, I totally agree with his assessment of Barack Obama. The only thing I disagree with, is the fact that Joe seems to believe that John McCain is the answer. I just cannot agree with that, at all.

Perhaps one of the funniest things I’ve read in quite a while in Politics….

Now this is funny. Here’s an e-mail that Ben Smith received from a Republican Consultant working a Mid-western state focus group.

It’s a good thing I was not drinking anything, else I would have been asking Ben Smith for a replacement laptop.

Quote:

Reagan Dems and Independents. Call them blue-collar plus. Slightly more Target than Walmart.

Yes, the spot worked. Yes, they believed the charges against Obama. Yes, they actually think he’s too liberal, consorts with bad people and WON’T BE A GOOD PRESIDENT…but they STILL don’t give a f***. They said right out, “He won’t do anything better than McCain” but they’re STILL voting for Obama.

The two most unreal moments of my professional life of watching focus groups:

54 year-old white male, voted Kerry ’04, Bush ’00, Dole ’96, hunter, NASCAR fan…hard for Obama said: “I’m gonna hate him the minute I vote for him. He’s gonna be a bad president. But I won’t ever vote for another god-damn Republican. I want the government to take over all of Wall Street and bankers and the car companies and Wal-Mart run this county like we used to when Reagan was President.”

The next was a woman, late 50s, Democrat but strongly pro-life. Loved B. and H. Clinton, loved Bush in 2000. “Well, I don’t know much about this terrorist group Barack used to be in with that Weather guy but I’m sick of paying for health insurance at work and that’s why I’m supporting Barack.”

I felt like I was taking crazy pills.  I sat on the other side of the glass and realized…this really is the Apocalypse. The Seventh Seal is broken and its time for eight years of pure, delicious crazy..

Rolling on the floorLaughing *Snort* That’s just too funny. I’m sorry. I can’t help it. It’s too funny. Rolling on the floorLaughingHee hee

*wiping eyes* Oh man…. *cough* I guess the the only thing I can say is, Reap what you sow.

The Obligatory Obama is ahead in the polls and McCain’s attacks posting.

First off about the Polls. It’s obvious, the economy is literally driving McCain’s campaign into the ditch. The attack ads obviously did not help, but more than anything, it is the economy, the Republican Party is just on the bad side of things. There’s no way around that or no way of spinning it at all. When the economy tanks the American people look to the opposing party to bring change. Which is what happened in 1980 with Reagan and after the stock market crash and subsequent depression in 1929, with FDR. This time the Republican Party is the Political Party that is one on the wrong side of the situation.

While I might not agree with some of Obama’s positions, I think sometimes, that Obama might just bring some jobs back to this area. I know that I could benefit from that. Obviously, Bob Barr is not going to be elected, even I understand that. While I am not going to come out as a flag waving Obama-bot. I will be the first to concede that change is needed in America and at the moment, Obama represents that. I don’t think the change will come at the speed that many are believing, but it will come, sooner or later.

As for the McCain attack ads and how it is affecting him in the polls; the issue is not what the ads said, it was how they were framed and presented to the American people. The entire problem was that John McCain was saying “Bill Ayers, Bill Ayers, Bill Ayers” and Black America and some the more uneducated on the far right, that believe everything that crosses their mailbox were hearing “He’s a black terrorist! He’s a black terrorist! He’s a black terrorist!” Needless to say this has not helped John McCain’s campaign at all. Not only that, but the picking of Sarah Palin was, as far as this writer is concerned, a tragic mistake. I say this because what McCain was trying to do, was appeal to his base. The problem is, you cannot win an election by appealing just to your base. But rather appealing to the Independent Voters or what are called “The swing voters.” They decide the election in the end, not the base of either party.

Obama on the other hand has appealed to Democrats and Independents as well, and also Conservatives as well; Chris Buckley is a prime example. I mean, Chris Buckley?!?! The son of the infamous staunch Conservative icon, William F. Buckley? Obviously, something is wrong with McCain’s campaign for Buckley to give McCain the cold shoulder. John McCain’s own brother blasted McCain’s campaign for not handling him properly.

Obama on the other hand has handled a very steady campaign, at times, in this writers opinion, playing certain “Cards” to their advantage, as they did with Hillary; much to the same effect as McCain’s campaign. This is just called good politics and good campaigning, and most shockingly it has worked.

So, the bottom line is this; John McCain while he might be great person of courage and valor, his campaign has been the Republican equivalent of Hillary Clinton’s campaign. To beat someone like Obama, you must be good, damned good, and sorry to say, but McCain just is not that; Good.

Democratic Party Family Values at work!

This is just too rich to pass up…

Via Fox News:

A married congressman who faces accusations that he had an affair with a former aide and paid her to keep quiet about it also was having an affair with a second woman around the same time, a person close to his campaign told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Details of the second affair came hours after Democratic U.S. Rep. Tim Mahoney held a news conference to address a story, first reported by ABC News, that he had been involved with the former aide. Mahoney acknowledged he had caused "embarrassment and heartache" to his family but denied doing anything illegal.

Mahoney, 52, won his seat in 2006 while promising to return morals and family values to Washington in the aftermath of the resignation of former Republican U.S. Rep. Mark Foley. Foley stepped down when it was revealed he sent lurid Internet messages to male teenage pages who had worked on Capitol Hill. Foley was later cleared of criminal wrongdoing by state and federal authorities.

Mahoney’s seat was already considered to be one of the more competitive House races, and he has been facing a tough challenge in a district that traditionally leans slightly Republican. He faces former Army officer Tom Rooney, a lawyer whose family owns the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mahoney himself did not directly address the first purported tryst during a news conference earlier in the day, but instead issued a statement taking "full responsibility for my actions and the pain I have caused my wife Terry and my daughter Bailey."

"No marriage is perfect," Mahoney said, "but our private life is our private life."

The real kicker is this here:

Mahoney, 52, won his seat in 2006 while promising to return morals and family values to Washington in the aftermath of the resignation of former Republican U.S. Rep. Mark Foley. Foley stepped down when it was revealed he sent lurid Internet messages to male teenage pages who had worked on Capitol Hill. Foley was later cleared of criminal wrongdoing by state and federal authorities.

*snort* Those are some real nice family values there sir! Hee hee Two affairs? Wow! Surprise I mean, I can understand the one, but two? Oy. That’s just beyond stupid. Doh

Something tells me this guy is not going to be in office for very long at all.

But then again, that’s the Democrats for you. Tongue

Exit Question: One of Obama’s friends? Oh, right, that’s RAAAAACIST! Rolling Eyes

Ever Notice?

When stuff like this Supposedly happens, that there’s never any video to back it up?

The boisterous crowd, estimated at around 4,500, interrupted her speech several times with chants of, "Sarah! Sarah! Sarah!"

There were no incendiary outbursts from the crowd about Mr. Obama during Mrs. Palin’s speech, as there have been during other recent McCain-Palin rallies.

However, someone did shout out, "Kill him!" during Republican congressional candidate Chris Hackett’s remarks before Mrs. Palin took the stage.

The outburst came during a round of booing from the crowd after Mr. Hackett said Mr. Obama should come to Pennsylvania and learn what the state’s values are. – Via The Times Tribune

I’ll believe that someone really said “Kill Him” when the video surfaces. Like I blogged about before, sometimes, the media lies about this sort of thing.

I’ll believe this, when the video of it happening surfaces.

About Chris Buckley’s endorsement

Believe it or not. I totally understand why he endorsed Obama.

I while back here, I wrote that I felt that Obama would not bring anymore expansion to the Government, because it was already very large. It seems that Chris Buckley gets that and believe it or not, I believe that is a good thing.

Quoting Buckley:

My point, simply, is that William F. Buckley held to rigorous standards, and if those were met by members of the other side rather than by his own camp, he said as much. My father was also unpredictable, which tends to keep things fresh and lively and on-their-feet. He came out for legalization of drugs once he decided that the war on drugs was largely counterproductive. Hardly a conservative position. Finally, and hardly least, he was fun. God, he was fun. He liked to mix it up.

So, I have been effectively fatwahed (is that how you spell it?) by the conservative movement, and the magazine that my father founded must now distance itself from me. But then, conservatives have always had a bit of trouble with the concept of diversity. The GOP likes to say it’s a big-tent. Looks more like a yurt to me.

While I regret this development, I am not in mourning, for I no longer have any clear idea what, exactly, the modern conservative movement stands for. Eight years of “conservative” government has brought us a doubled national debt, ruinous expansion of entitlement programs, bridges to nowhere, poster boy Jack Abramoff and an ill-premised, ill-waged war conducted by politicians of breathtaking arrogance. As a sideshow, it brought us a truly obscene attempt at federal intervention in the Terry Schiavo case.

So, to paraphrase a real conservative, Ronald Reagan: I haven’t left the Republican Party. It left me.

Thanks, anyway, for the memories, and here’s to happier days and with any luck, a bit less fresh hell.

The reason why I say that it is a good thing is because of this; it is becoming more and more obvious to more and more Conservatives, inside and outside of the realm of the G.O.P. that the Grand Old Party has a horrid image problem to Liberals and Conservatives alike. The party basically elected someone based upon pedigree, rather than based upon actual merits.

That person went on to allow his administration to trample on the Constitution, and do all of the things that Chris listed above, plus quite a few that he did not, or was not willing to mention. I would list them all, but this Blog entry would be 50 pages long.

So, while I might not agree on his actual assessment of Obama, simply because he is an advocate of the expansion of that big Government that Conservatives and Libertarians, like me, simply do not agree with, nor believe in. I do believe that someone, like Chris, finally speaking up and saying, “This Party is not the party of my Father”, is a rather awesome step in the right direction. That very feeling is the same feeling that caused David Nolan on December 11, 1971 to form what is now called the Libertarian Party.

It is my hope and yes, possibly even a prayer; that more people within the party will wake up from the stupor that is known as Bush’ism or more accurately Neo-Conservatism. This will be about the only way that the Republican Party can mop up the mess and move on to another era in Conservatism. They must, as collective whole organization; say, without any hesitation or discord, “Never Again.”

More Liberal Hypocrisy… Liberal Democrat Backer puts McCain in a KKK Suit, chasing Obama!

This right here was exactly what my original “Enough!” posting was about. The left’s use of race in this election, and man is it ever sickening.

This via the StarGazette.com:

Ron Havens has a reputation for provocative Halloween displays that reflect his strong political views.

But even Havens was pretty sure his latest effort was over the top. That didn’t stop him from setting it up in plain sight anyway.

Havens, who lives on Schuyler County Route 15 (Ridge Road) just south of Odessa, this week set up a Halloween display featuring mannequins that  look like Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and Republican rival John McCain.

But the Obama figure looks like he is running, and the McCain likeness is dressed in the hooded robe of the Ku Klux Klan and is carrying a baseball bat.

Havens is quick to point out he is a liberal and a big supporter of Obama, and that the scene is meant to provoke thought about the way he believes Obama has been unfairly treated by the McCain campaign.

"I figured it would be equally offensive to everyone. It’s just for shock value," Havens said. "McCain has been rabble-rousing, calling Obama a terrorist and a Muslim. The McCain campaign has gotten so ugly. That’s what the message is. I can see how people could take this the wrong way. I’m not advocating anything. It’s sarcasm."

The display is in Havens’ front lawn, only a few yards from the highway.

Two years ago, Havens set up a display with a Wizard of Oz theme, with President Bush as the Scarecrow, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as Dorothy, Vice President Dick Cheney as the Tin Man and former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld representing the Cowardly Lion.

During the 2004 presidential race between Bush and Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, Bush took on the persona of Dracula in Havens’ front lawn, while Kerry appeared as Frankenstein’s monster, complete with neck bolts.

Georgia Verdier, president of the Elmira-Corning Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, said she was concerned about the injection of race into the presidential campaign when someone called her to complain about the scene.

After viewing a photograph of Havens’ display, Verdier said it seems innocuous enough, but she’s still concerned it may send the wrong message.

"It looks friendly but I am concerned not so much about this display, but in general about the fear and hate that have entered the campaign," Verdier said. "This display appears friendly to me. But that’s my take. A young lady passed by and had other feelings. We need to be concerned about that. I think we all need to be careful about what messages we send. The message we send is not always the message received."

Havens said he has no plans to take the display down at this time.

I find it so very ironic that the left can do something like this, and it just fine. But when someone like me, posts a ironic Blog entry that basically says, “Hey the left wants to paint us as racist, let’s give them what they want!”. I get threats and Liberals calling the Secret Service on me. How Ironic.

Like someone said who commented on my posting about the original posting that I made, I cannot wait till this damn election is finally over, because quite frankly, I am sick of the race war and the race baiting and imagery like this. Anyone that thinks that the RIGHT is stoking the flames of racism in this damn election, has got their fucking head up their collective ass.

The right is NOT stocking the racism in this election, it’s the damn left and they’re getting a fucking free pass and yes, I am pissed off about it and yes, I think it is a bunch of BULLSHIT! Angry

This is one of Obama’s supporters people, remember that.

So much for that “Kill Him!” Narrative!

It seems that the narrative about someone yelling out “Kill Him!” about Obama at a Palin rally.

Patterico as always is on the story:

Everyone in the country seems to think someone yelled “Kill him!” at a McCain/Palin rally, about Barack Obama. It’s just not true.

The “Kill him!” phrase was originally reported by the Washingon Post — and it was clearly yelled about William Ayers and not Barack Obama.

I quoted the relevant language in this post:

“And, according to the New York Times, he [referring to Ayers — P] was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, ‘launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,’” [Palin] continued.

“Boooo!” the crowd repeated.

“Kill him!” proposed one man in the audience.

That is unambiguously a call to kill Ayers, not Obama. As TNR writer Michael Crowley said in a comment to this post of his (h/t L.N. Smithee):

I took “kill him” to mean Ayers–not Obama. It’s just a far, far likelier explanation given the context. That’s still an ugly thing to shout–but on the other hand Ayers probably would have gotten the death penalty had his bombs actually taken a life. If I thought people were actually yelling that about Obama I would feel very differently.

Indeed. [UPDATE: Dana Milbank, who originally reported this, agreed. According to a Politico blog entry: “Milbank said that his impression was that the man meant Ayers, not Obama.” Thanks to “no one you know.”]

So, when the left claims that people are yelling at Palin rallies to kill Obama. You can safely know that it is nothing more than a well manufactured lie. A lie manufactured by a Media that is in the tank for Obama.

Surprising? No. Shocking, Not hardly. Thanks for the Karl Rove and his group of Neo-Conservative idiots, we are going have Liberalism shoved down our throats for the next 4 to 8 years. If we’re not destroyed by a terrorist attack before then.

I knew that Ohio was a battleground State…. But this?

This rather humorous story comes via Ohio.com: (Hat Tip to Twitter)

Poll workers from opposing sides in the presidential race apparently clashed in a physical altercation Friday at a Cuyahoga Falls nursing home when one accused the other of improperly marking a ballot.

George Manos, the 75-year-old Republican, told police that Edith Walker, the 73-year-old Democrat, jumped on his back and struck him in the head three to four times with her fists. Manos said two other elections workers had to pull Walker off his back, according to a report filed with Cuyahoga Falls police.

Manos said it happened after he accused Walker of ballot tampering, and he wants to prosecute.

The incident, which occurred about noon at Gardens of Western Reserve nursing home, is being investigated by both the police and the Summit County elections board. The board probe could lead to a closer examination of the other votes with which Walker was involved.

The alleged assault piqued the interest of
Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign — as the voter in question reportedly wanted to vote for McCain but her ballot was initially marked for Sen. Barack Obama.

”This is a troubling report that emphasizes the importance of having a transparent and open process in every voting place in Ohio,” said Paul Lindsay, a spokesman for McCain’s campaign.

I guess this is what they mean by fighting for the vote in the election! Hee hee

I guess this would be a good time to make a mental note to be sure and wear protective gear on November 4’th. Nah, who I am kidding? Obama’s got it lined up here. So, I don’t think I will have a problem. (I hope! Worried)
