Barry’s Plan in the New York Times, just more of the stump speech

It seems that B. Hussein Obama wrote a Op-Ed Piece in the New York Times.

I won’t bother quoting any of it. Why? Because it is basically the same old muddled stump speech that he gave in the damn primary. It’s short of specifics, short on details, and basically is the same old mantra of Hope, Change and get out of Iraq.

If Barry hopes to have any sort of a prayer in hell of getting elected to the office President of the United States, He had better get more specific, as to how exactly he plans on getting us out of Iraq, without that country falling into utter chaos.

His little stump speech is based upon the conditions on the ground in 2006, and NOT 2008. If he has any plan on getting elected, he had better update his damn teleprompter or he might just be getting him a job as the White House shoeshine boy, for John McCain.

Obama: 9/11, WTC Attacks, Radical Islam is the USA’s Fault…

Are we sure that this man isn’t a closet Muslim? In this quote, he basically says that 9/11 was our fault.

Quote:

ZAKARIA: But how do you view the problem within Islam? As somebody who saw it in Indonesia … the largest Muslim country in the world?

OBAMA: Well, it was interesting. When I lived in Indonesia — this would be ’67, ’68, late ’60s, early ’70s — Indonesia was never the same culture as the Arab Middle East. The brand of Islam was always different.

But around the world, there was no — there was not the sense that Islam was inherently opposed to the West, or inherently opposed to modern life, or inherently opposed to universal traditions like rule of law.

And now in Indonesia, you see some of those extremist elements. And what’s interesting is, you can see some correlation between the economic crash during the Asian financial crisis, where about a third of Indonesia’s GDP was wiped out, and the acceleration of these Islamic extremist forces.

It isn’t to say that there is a direct correlation, but what is absolutely true is that there has been a shift in Islam that I believe is connected to the failures of governments and the failures of the West to work with many of these countries, in order to make sure that opportunities are there, that there’s bottom-up economic growt

The New Yorker pulls a rather idiotic move….

Not smart gents, not smart at all…

The Story: ‘Scare tactic’ — Obama slams Muslim portrayal by Mike Allen (Via Politico.com)

Quote:

The Obama campaign is condemning as “tasteless and offensive” a New Yorker magazine cover that depicts Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) in a turban, fist-bumping his gun-slinging wife.

An American flag burns in their fireplace.

tny 7.21 The New Yorker says it’s satire. It certainly will be candy for cable news.

The Obama campaign quickly condemned the rendering. Spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement: “The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create. But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree."

McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds quickly e-mailed: “We completely agree with the Obama campaign, it’s tasteless and offensive.”

The issue, which goes on sale Monday, includes a long piece by Ryan Lizza about Obama’s start in Chicago politics.

While I see what the New Yorker was trying to do, I think because of the extremely touchy nature of this election cycle and because of what we’re dealing with here. Which is the possibility of the first African-American President, I think everyone, left, right, center, and everywhere in between, needs to cool with the nuances.

Yes, that was me….

Yes, that was me, that you heard on the Downsize D.C. Radio Show. Which is on the Genesis Radio Network.

I was giving Jim my views on what’s happening with the United States and Iran. Which I do not believe we are going to war with.

After all, according to the Washington Times and Times of London, we could very well be pulling our forces out of Iraq.

Personally, like I said on Jim’s show. The people of the United States of America are tired of this war, period. This is why the President’s approval ratings are through the floor, this is why the congress approval rating is very low as well.

Personally, as I said on Jim’s show, I personally believe that we are NOT going to go directly to war with Iran. I believe that we are going to first use negotiations, via third party talks. Then, if that does not work. We will pursue Military via proxy though Israel.

So, again, I very highly doubt that the US would be foolish enough to pursue military action directly, with Iran. Because for one, George W. Bush does not want to drop two wars into the lap of an incoming President, because he wants to be the Republican hero. Not the President who drops a war to the next President.

Remember, we tried to be the hero’s in the middle east and it failed, and the situation in Iraq is just now starting to come around in Iraq. We’re not going to make that mistake twice, at least not with Bush in the White House.

….and that’s my take on it.

Local News: Give me Hope and Change or I’ll take your stuff!

I guess that the Obamassiah’s message of hope and change isn’t moving fast enough for the locals here in Detroit.

Quote:

A temporary office in Detroit being used by the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has been burglarized.

Michigan campaign spokesman Brent Colburn says personal electronics, including some mobile phones and a laptop, were taken early Saturday. But Colburn says they didn’t contain campaign information.

Colburn says it’s believed the burglary was random, since an adjacent office also was burglarized.

An estimated value of the items taken wasn’t immediately available.- Obama campaign office in Detroit burglarized (Via The Detroit News)

I just wonder what the socialist commie will do about this one? If he’ll call out a blitzkrieg or just order random house to house searches?

It is to wonder. 😀

Barack Obama, Pussy in Chief?

It seems that way….

Quote:

A coalition of military groups is planning a nationally televised town-hall-style meeting with the presidential candidates near Fort Hood, Tex., the largest active-duty military installation in the country. But so far, only Senator John McCain of Arizona, the presumptive Republican nominee, has agreed to attend.

CBS has agreed to broadcast the meeting live from 9 to 11 p.m. Eastern time on Monday, Aug. 11. The candidates would face questions directly from an audience of 6,000 people, made up of veterans, service members and military families from the base.

Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, the presumptive Democratic nominee, has not agreed to participate.

“Senator Obama strongly supports America’s veterans and military families and has worked hard on their behalf in the Senate,” said Phillip Carter, director of Mr. Obama’s veterans effort and an Iraq war veteran. “While we unfortunately had a previously scheduled commitment on the date proposed, Senator Obama looks forward to continuing the dialogue he’s been having throughout the country with veterans on how we can better serve our men and women in uniform as they serve us.”Obama Won’t Commit to Event at Military Base – NYTimes.com

The way I see it, If B. Hussein Obama does not have to guts to appear before a crowd of Military men. He’s nothing more than a cowardly communist sissy liberal. He claims that he does not want to use the Military to make a cheap political point. I got news for you, Barry’s whole fucking campaign has been one BIG fucking political point!

Just further proof that without teleprompter, he nothing more than a empty suit, sleazeball, NEGRO Chicago Politician. (yeah, that’s right, I called him what he IS, a NEGRO!)

Newsweek Polls: Obama’s lead sinks….

(H/T to Capt. Ed.)

It seems that the glow of Obama, amongst the Independents, has grown quite dim.

Via NewsWeek:

A month after emerging victorious from the bruising Democratic nominating contest, some of Barack Obama’s glow may be fading. In the latest NEWSWEEK Poll, the Illinois senator leads Republican nominee John McCain by just 3 percentage points, 44 percent to 41 percent. The statistical dead heat is a marked change from last month’s NEWSWEEK Poll, where Obama led McCain by 15 points, 51 percent to 36 percent.

Obama’s rapid drop comes at a strategically challenging moment for the Democratic candidate. Having vanquished Hillary Clinton in early June, Obama quickly went about repositioning himself for a general-election audience–an unpleasant task for any nominee emerging from the pander-heavy primary contests and particularly for a candidate who’d slogged through a vigorous primary challenge in most every contest from January until June. Obama’s reversal on FISA legislation, his support of faith-based initiatives and his decision to opt out of the campaign public-financing system left him open to charges he was a flip-flopper. In the new poll, 53 percent of voters (and 50 percent of former Hillary Clinton supporters) believe that Obama has changed his position on key issues in order to gain political advantage.

More seriously, some Obama supporters worry that the spectacle of their candidate eagerly embracing his old rival, Hillary Clinton, and traveling the country courting big donors at lavish fund-raisers, may have done lasting damage to his image as an arbiter of a new kind of politics. This is a major concern since Obama’s outsider credentials, have, in the past, played a large part in his appeal to moderate, swing voters. In the new poll, McCain leads Obama among independents 41 percent to 34 percent, with 25 percent favoring neither candidate. In June’s NEWSWEEK Poll, Obama bested McCain among independent voters, 48 percent to 36 percent.

I know what caused all of this. Some say it was his “Lurch” to the center. I disagree. I believe it was caused by his enormous pander to the far left during the primary. He went to the front of the pack, because he told his base, that he intended to end the war in Iraq, “I don’t care what those generals say!”, is essentially what he told people. Barry essentially did in the primary, what the members of congress did in 2006. Lied like dogs, then got elected and proceeded to do absolutely NONE of the things that they promised their base that they would do. Which is, I think, Politics 101 anymore. 😀

But seeing that conditions in Iraq have improved and he also wanted to attract people, like me; who tend to hang around the center, on some issues, (Not all!) like getting out of Iraq in a responsible manner. What happened was, Obama tried, but failed miserably to subtly change his message.

Why did Obama fail? Well, because you have people like Ariana Huffington who can sniff out a right winger a mile away, that’s why! 😆 After all, she was married to one. 😀 Also, you have Conservative, Libertarian and Constitutionalist Bloggers, like myself, who take some sort of a perverse joy out of pointing out every little screw up, flip flop and outright lie which Obama tells, that happens to cross the media and a few, that the media either give him a pass on or they completely miss.

Between the two, ol’ Barry just can’t catch a break. 😛

Interestingly enough, I really do believe that majority of the Nation, except for the part of the country that reads, and own Blogs, like myself, and maybe the Political junkies, will hardly notice any of this stuff come November, they will think, “Republican = Bush” and pull the lever for a Democrat, and as much as I hate to say it. Obama will win, because what can John McCain say, to counter Obama’s message of hope and change? Not a damn thing.

Best thing that ol’ Juan McSame can come up with is that idiot phrase of “That’s not change we can believe in” and a silly laugh that made him sound like a mental patient, and making Political Ads that basically give the finger to the Anti-Illegal Immigration crowd. Which, by the way, is about 75% of his base.

The bottom line is: Obama took a dip, but I don’t expect it to affect him much in the long run.

Weekly Donation Appeal……

Hi Gang,

Here’s the part of being a full time Blogger, that I absolutely hate.

Asking for money….. 🙄

Yes, I do this full time. As I mentioned previously in another entry, I am a full time, freelance writer and Blogger. I write for a living, it is what I enjoy.

I won’t get into all the reasons why I do not have a day job. But I do enjoy this and I’d like to get paid to do it.

Please Give. Even if it’s $5 or $10 every little helps. For the record, I haven’t gotten any more than around $200.00 from here.

You say you cannot give? Well, there’s something that you can do, click my ads. I’ve just added a new Ad Service, one that pays, and pay decent, it’s a pay per display service and it’s already generating revenue. It’s not a $100 a minute, but it’s a little income. Some pay per click, some pay me when you buy something. (Please Note: I don’t get paid when you click on GunsAmerica’s Banner, that’s there for information and for a service…

Also, take a look at the banners under “My Friends” and “More of my Friends” sections, these are causes that feel matter, please, click on them and show your support.

Again, I don’t consider this begging, I only do it once a week! 😉

Also, I, again, would like to THANK EVERYONE who answered the call for help, when I was still over on Blogger. I also thank the young man, who came to my rescue with a awesome offer of hosting for an excellent deal. Which I could not have beaten, had I tried. I also thank Chris Muir of Day by Day for bringing my situation to the attention of his readers, you’re awesome Chris!

Anyhow, enough of the ass kissing. 😉 😛 😆 😀

Thanks for reading and thanks for the continued readership.

-Paleo Pat

Call me old fashioned….but

This is why I cannot get excited about John McCain.

I mean the Republican party is supposed to be the party of morals. But yet, they’ve elected a divorced and remarried man? What kind of message does that sent to young people or worse yet, kids?

A News Article that Goerge W. Bush and Staff need to read..

This is serious Business and Bush had better read this. This here is why we cannot afford to go to war with Iran.

The Story: OPEC warns against military conflict with Iran (via International Herald Tribune)

The head of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries warned Thursday that oil prices would see an “unlimited” increase in the case of a military conflict involving Iran, because the group’s members would be unable to make up the lost production.

“We really cannot replace Iran’s production – it’s not feasible to replace it,” Abdalla Salem El-Badri, the OPEC secretary general, said during an interview.

Iran, the second-largest producing country in OPEC, after Saudi Arabia, produces about 4 million barrels of oil a day out of the daily worldwide production of close to 87 million barrels. The country has been locked in a lengthy dispute with Western countries over its nuclear ambitions.

In recent weeks, the price of oil has risen higher on speculation that Israel could be preparing to attack Iranian nuclear facilities. The saber-rattling intensified this week with missile tests by Iran. That has further shaken oil markets because of concerns that any conflict with Iran could disrupt oil shipments from the Gulf region.

“The prices would go unlimited,” Badri said during the interview, referring to the effect of a military conflict. “I can’t give you a number.”

I highly recommend that everyone, of all political stripes go read this article. This is why we cannot go to war with Iran. Not because of our Military, but rather because it would kill us, even worse than it is now, at the gas pump.

We just cannot afford, I cannot afford, the Nation cannot afford another war with another country.

Whooops!

Barry does a joint party with Hillary and forgets to ask supports to support her. Whoops!

But about two minutes later Obama bounces back onto the stage. Waves his hands. Had he forgotten to mention about the jobs program?

The music stopped. Or maybe he neglected to praise his distant cousin Dick Cheney?

“Hold on a second,” he shouted. “I got one more thing.” Oops! It seems Obama had forgotten to mention the part about giving money to Hillary Clinton in the spirit of unity, the whole reason they were gathered there in the first place.

“Sen. Clinton still has some debt. And I could have had some debt — if I hadn’t won — so I know the drill. There are many supporters of mine here who have not yet given something to help her retire that debt. I would be very grateful if you looked under your chair. I think there should be an envelope or a pledge sheet or something.

“If people would take the time not only to pick it up but put something in it and mail it back…that is part of the process of making sure that we’re unified…Allright, turn on the music again. Let’s keep on partying.”

And so they did. In perfect unity, no doubt. – Clinton and Obama do joint fundraiser but he forgets the fund part | Top of the Ticket | Los Angeles Times

On FISA

There is a great deal of outrage on the left and amongst many Constitutionalists and some Libertarians about this FISA bill being passed.

The way I look at it is, if Obama wins, he will go after those who broke the law.

I think that everyone needs to take a step back and look at the big picture here. If we stop one terrorist from attacking America, it will be worth it. However, I am fully aware of the corruption of this imperialistic Neo-Conservative Presidential Administration.

I take comfort in knowing that if Obama does win, as much as I despise his Politics, I believe there will be prosecutions handed out.

Uh Oh….. Jesse Done stepped in it!

D’oh!

Jesse Jackson just went in stepped into the doo doo…

He basically said he thought Obama was cutting his own (part of the male reproductive organ) off. By giving talks about morals. Yeah, He’d know, considering he had an affair and fathered a child, out of wedlock.

The Video:

Jesse Jackson issued this Statement:

“For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize,” Jackson said in a statement issued to CNN. “My support for Senator Obama’s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment.”

“My appeal was for the moral content of his message to not only deal with the personal and moral responsibility of black males, but to deal with the collective moral responsibility of government and the public policy which would be a corrective action for the lack of good choices that often led to their irresponsibility,” Jackson also said.

“That was the context of my private conversation and it does not reflect any disparagement on my part for the historic event in which we are involved or my pride in Senator Barack Obama, who is leading it, whom I have supported by crisscrossing this nation in every level of media and audience from the beginning in absolute terms.”

Uh-huh, you’re just sorry you got caught.

His own son is quite perturbed:

I’m deeply outraged and disappointed in Reverend Jackson’s reckless statements about Senator Barack Obama. His divisive and demeaning comments about the presumptive Democratic nominee — and I believe the next president of the United States — contradict his inspiring and courageous career. Instead of tearing others down, Barack Obama wants to build the country up and bring people together so that we can move forward, together — as one nation. The remarks like those uttered on Fox by Revered Jackson do not advance the campaign’s cause of building a more perfect Union. Revered Jackson is my dad and I’ll always love him. He should know how hard that I’ve worked for the last year and a half as a national co-chair of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. So, I thoroughly reject and repudiate his ugly rhetoric. He should keep hope alive and any personal attacks and insults to himself. – Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL)

Wow…Just Wow…. The jokes just keep writing themselves.

But like Malkin said, It’s always we meanie Conservatives that make the horrible statements about Barry.

(H/T Memeorandum)

T. Boone Pickens does an excellent Op-Ed…

I this is about the best thing I’ve seen in the WSJ in a long while…

My Plan to Escape the Grip of Foreign Oil – WSJ.com

One of the benefits of being around a long time is that you get to know a lot about certain things. I’m 80 years old and I’ve been an oilman for almost 60 years. I’ve drilled more dry holes and also found more oil than just about anyone in the industry. With all my experience, I’ve never been as worried about our energy security as I am now. Like many of us, I ignored what was happening. Now our country faces what I believe is the most serious situation since World War II.

In fact, here’s the video from the Pickens website:

An excellent plan, also, let’s close that Enron Loophole as well. That would really help as well. I think that if we would stop making this issue a Political wedge and more of a matter of personal importance, we could get much more done.

T. Boone Picken’s Website is here.

Let’s just hope the Democrats and Republicans take this issue seriously and not like a Political Wedge.

Iran tests thier missiles again… Obama and McCain React

(H/T Hot Air)

Via Reuters:

Iran test-fired nine missiles on Wednesday and warned the United States and Israel it was ready to retaliate for any attack over its disputed nuclear projects.

Washington, which says Iran seeks atomic bombs, told Tehran to halt further tests. Iran, the world’s fourth largest oil producer, says its nuclear program is only for electricity.

Iran’s missile tests rattled oil markets, helping crude prices to rebound about $2 a barrel after recent falls.

Speculation that Israel could bomb Iran has mounted since a big Israeli air drill last month. U.S. leaders have not ruled out military options if diplomacy fails to end the nuclear row.

Revolutionary Guards air force commander Hossein Salami said in televised comments that thousands of missiles were ready to be fired at “pre-determined targets.” Missiles were shown soaring from desert launchpads, leaving long vapor trails.

“We warn the enemies who intend to threaten us with military exercises and empty psychological operations that our hand will always be on the trigger and our missiles will always be ready to launch,” he said, according to ISNA news agency.

And Obama’s Response?

Video:

His typical stammering response of we have to appease them.

McCain’s Response?:

Iran’s most recent missile tests demonstrate again the dangers it poses to its neighbors and to the wider region, especially Israel. Ballistic missile testing coupled with Iran’s continued refusal to cease its nuclear activities should unite the international community in efforts to counter Iran’s dangerous ambitions. Iran’s missile tests also demonstrate the need for effective missile defense now and in the future, and this includes missile defense in Europe as is planned with the Czech Republic and Poland. Working with our European and regional allies is the best way to meet the threat posed by Iran, not unilateral concessions that undermine multilateral diplomacy.

Who would you want to vote for? A commie liberal who wants to make nice with Iranians who want to see Israel wiped off the map or someone who will defend Israel till the death, like John McCain?

This is just further proof, that B. Hussein Obama is not ready to lead on day one. Period, End of story, bring another shoe shine boy around to try and run for President, cause this one ain’t even ready.

For once, I agree with Andrew Sullivan

For once, I agree with Sullivan on something.

Sullivan on the Social Gospel:

And this is why the cooptation of Christianity for various forms of socialism and redistributionism – Obama’s tendency – is worrying to me. Because it isn’t about encouraging charity; it is about the enforcement of “charity” by the strong hand of the state. And in so far as it forcibly takes people’s property from them, it also diminishes their capacity for real charity.

[…]

And the kind of voluntary communism of which Merton speaks likely only in monasteries and religious orders. In the world as it is, there should be some mandatory public provision for the poor, the sick and the indigent. But it should be a safety-net to avoid specific social evils, not a system of redistribution to construct some notion of “social justice” (see Chapter 6 in “The Conservative Soul”). In the end, the social Gospel can make Christianity less, rather than more, likely. The state cannot experience faith; and it cannot express charity. Only individuals can. One by one.

I don’t agree much with Sullivan. But he’s 100% spot on here. That whole social gospel thing scares the crap out of me. In case anyone has forgotten. Jim Jones and his group of followers, who ended up committing mass suicide, (Although some say that there were some who were murdered, but I digress) they were into what was known as the social gospel. Martin Luther King Jr. Also preached the Social Gospel. It’s that while mantra of “You owe me this“, that bothers the crap out of me.

Not smart Jonah, Not smart at all…

I’m not a politically correct person, not by a long shot.

But I think that this article here, is about is close as one can come to basically saying that, “Obama is just a stupid liberal n****r”, without actually saying it. Attempting to equate a requirement for service, in return for college funding to slavery is not, I repeat, NOT a smart thing to do, seeing the whole climate of this election.

I mean, not agreeing with someones political policy is one thing, but this is another. I have to wonder, would Goldberg have brought up Slavery, if Obama was a White Man?

….and here I thought the Republicans were the party of Anti-Slavery and Anti-Racism.

Oh Tweety…..

Chris Matthews, Does it….again.

Video:

I liked the old Media Matter music better, this new one is a bit, shall we say, stale?

The Quote:

MATTHEWS: Up next: They’re the working-class white voters Hillary Clinton won and Barack didn’t. Can Obama now win over the regular folks, white folks, against John McCain? We’ll ask the strategists. You’re watching Hardball.

Sometimes, I think he says stuff like that, intentionally, just to piss the liberals off.

I hate to say it, but I kind of view Matthews as the Bill O’Reilly of MSNBC. (Ha!)

What rubs me to no end, is how some of the morning people use their shows or airtime to push their little political agendas. Andrea Mitchell is a classic example. She loves to belittle the Democrats. Of course, seeing her hubby is Neo-Con Alan Greenspan, that should be no surprise.

Asking legitimate questions is one thing, editorializing disguised as questions, is another. Right Andrea? You Neo-Con slime ball.
