While I can sympathize with my Christian Brethren, they are wrong…

Full Disclosure: I am a Christian, if you’ll read my “about me” section on here, you will see here I stand doctrinally.  To be clear, I am not active in a Church anywhere at the moment. But I still believe.

An Interesting quote from the Christian Newswire, by a Robert Peters who the President of  Morality in Media, commenting on passage on the Gay Marriage Iowa and the shootings in New York:

“Having lived in New York City for more than 30 years, I am all too aware of the harm that firearms in the hands of criminals can cause. Having grown up in a small town in Illinois, where citizens owned guns without misusing them, I am also aware that guns aren’t the underlying problem. I am not an opponent of gun regulation; I am an opponent of making guns the scapegoat for mass murder.

“The underlying problem is that increasingly we live in a ‘post-Christian’ society, where Judeo-Christian faith and values have less and less influence. Among other things, Judaism and Christianity taught that murder was wrong and that included murder motivated by anger, hatred and revenge. Both religions also taught that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves and to forgive others.

“For many citizens, what has replaced Judeo-Christian faith and values is the secular value system that is reflected in films, rap/music lyrics, and videogames and on TV and now the Internet, where the taking of human life for just about any reason is commonplace and is often portrayed in an appealing manner and in realistic detail. Murder motivated by hatred and revenge is also justified.

“This secular value system is also reflected in the ‘sexual revolution,’ which is the driving force behind the push for ‘gay marriage;’ and the Iowa Supreme Court decision is another indication that despite all the damage this revolution has caused to children, adults, family life and society (think abortion, divorce, pornography, rape, sexual abuse of children, sexually transmitted diseases, trafficking in women and children, unwed teen mothers and more), it continues to advance relentlessly.

“It most certainly is not my intention to blame the epidemic of mass murders on the gay rights movement! It is my intention to point out that the success of the sexual revolution is inversely proportional to the decline in morality; and it is the decline of morality (and the faith that so often under girds it) that is the underlying cause of our modern day epidemic of mass murders.

“I would add that if conservative media’s irresponsible talk of revolution can ‘poison weak minds,’ the liberal entertainment media’s irresponsible portrayal of mayhem can also poison weak minds.”

Also, Pastor Eric Schumacher comments over at Baptist Press also comments as to how Christians should handle the situation as well; and I must admit, I agree with his way of doing things as well. Let me just say that these arguments may work in the realm of Christianity and in the Church World, these arguments, unfortunately, fall flat in the secular society that we live in today.  Donald Douglas over at American power weighs in on this:

While I agree with the main points of the religious morality angle, I don’t think that argument will prevail amid the growing hegemony of secularism Peters decries. A powerful secular case can be made against same-sex marriage, based in the logic of biological reproduction and the regeneration of societies. The gay marriage extremists can do little to change the logic of social reproduction and the facts of biological procreation. To win the argument, gay radicals have to argue in denial of the fact that social institutions are normatively substantiated in such terms. The left has yet to do so, of course, which is why the notion of “same-sex marriage” remains a fantastic radical progressive ideological construct.

I hate to say it, but I do agree. (Mark your calendars, this does not happen often at all.) The reason all this is happening is because the Religious right made the gay marriage thing a “Hot button” topic years ago. One of the worst things, I believe, that happened was the melting together of Religion and Conservative politics, this happened in the 1980’s with the whole “God and Country” movement. I remember it well, as I was a young lad that grew up in that era. Before this, Christianity and Conservative politics were two very different worlds. President Ronald Reagan and his whole “Reagan Revolution” changed all that, some say for the worse.

Let me give you an example of why I believe this is so very wrong. You see, years ago, Christians did not want to be have a voice in Government. This quote is from a book called “The Trail of Blood”, which was written by Dr. James Milton Carroll, in 1931; it is taken from the fifth lecture in the book:

24. Some serious questions have many times been asked concerning the Baptists: Would they, as a denomination, have accepted from any nation or state an offer of “establishment” if such nation or state had freely made them such an offer? And would they in case they had accepted such an offer, have become persecutors of others like Catholics or Episcopals, or Lutherans or Presbyterians, or Congregationalists? Probably a little consideration of such questions now would not be amiss. Have the Baptists, as a fact, ever had such an opportunity?

Is it not recorded in history, that on one occasion, the King of the Netherlands (the Netherlands at that time embracing Norway and Sweden, Belgium, Holland, and Denmark) had under serious consideration the question of having an established religion? Their kingdom at that period was surrounded on almost all sides by nations or governments with established religions, religions supported by the Civil Government.

It is stated that the King of Holland appointed a committee to examine into the claims of all existing churches or denominations to see which had the best claim to be the New Testament Church. The committee reported back that the Baptists were the best representatives of New Testament teachings. Then the King offered to make the Baptist “the established” church or denomination of his kingdom. The Baptists kindly thanked him but declined, stating that it was contrary to their fundamental convictions and principles.

But this was not the only opportunity they ever had of having their denomination the established religion of a people. They certainly had that opportunity when Rhode Island Colony was founded. And to have persecuted others, that would have been an impossibility if they were to continue being Baptists. They were the original advocates of “Religious Liberty.” That really is one of the fundamental articles of their religious faith. They believed in the absolute separation of church and state.

This is what Christians should believe in. Christians never should have ever attempted to meddle in the affairs of the Government, as Christians are supposed to be about “The Father’s Business”. (Luke 2:49, 1 Thess 4:11) While I believe it is important to be aware of what is happening in our Government, the idea that Baptists and Christians alike are to try and sway Government into a theocracy is totally wrong, and goes against what Christians and yes, even Baptists of old practiced.

I hate to say, but the Christianity community seriously messed up in the 1980’s with the whole Reagan revolution, and we are going to pay a dreadful price for it. The sick and sad part is, George W. Bush and his Neo-Conservative friends, harvested and took full advantage of that crop during his tenure in the White House, and because of this, the Republican Party and Conservatism as a whole will pay for that.

It is going to be a bleak, long four years in a America. 🙁

Liberal Bloggers not getting paid to promote

Now this article is not going to be one of those a-typical Conservative “Rub in their faces” kind of entries. Because in this case, I can understand how these people feel. I’ll explain after the quote.

The Story comes via The Plum Line:

Some of the leading liberal bloggers are privately furious with the major progressive groups — and in some cases, the Democratic Party committees — for failing to spend money advertising on their sites, even as these groups constantly ask the bloggers for free assistance in driving their message.

It’s a development that’s creating tensions on the left and raises questions about the future role of the blogosphere at a time when a Dem is in the White House and liberalism could be headed for a period of sustained ascendancy.

A number of these top bloggers agreed to come on record with me after privately arguing to these groups that they deserved a share in the ad wealth and couldn’t be taken for granted any longer.

I can understand these peoples feelings. I have been blogging almost continually since February of 2006. You want to know how much money I have made on Blogging? A rough estimate off the top of my head; about $147.00, of $100.00 that I have been paid. Seriously. Why do you think that I have so many freaking ads on my Blog? To try and raise a little funds! It has helped a little, But I am not getting wealthy, that is for sure. In fact, I run BlogAds, you want to know how many I’ve gotten paid to run? All of two. I run the other two, because I happen to love those sites. They’re freebies, and the one is a half serious, half cruel joke. (The Anti-Al Sharpton Ad)  I blog, simply because I love it. Seriously. I love to write, it’s a way of getting my feelings about things off my chest, and it keeps me out of trouble. Hell, Because of the wonderful fuck ups of Bush, along with the Wonderful fuck ups of the Democrats here in Michigan, I haven’t had a job since 2005 and the company I worked for, is gone. Went out of Business. It’s crazy, the economy here in Michigan, is THAT bad. This was BEFORE the said stock market bottom out thing.

Some of the big players quoted here:

“They come to us, expecting us to give them free publicity, and we do, but it’s not a two way street,” “They won’t do anything in return. They’re not advertising with us. They’re not offering fellowships. They’re not doing anything to help financially, and people are growing increasingly resentful.” — Jane Hamsher, the founder of FiredogLake

“Most want the easy way — having a big blogger promote their agenda,” “Then they turn around and spend $50K for a one-page ad in the New York Times or whatever.”- Markos Moulitsas, the founder of DailyKos

I know the feeling, I don’t know how many little “Plug” pieces that I’ve written, first as a “Left of Center” Blogger and also since switching sides; and then getting nothing in return. Now, I will admit, I have not always gotten the hits on my Blog. I have just recently started getting to some respectable hits on my site. But still, I can understand where these guys are coming from. Of course, some of my following, “Right Wingers” (Gah! I hate that term….) are of course gaffawing about this, but I’m not, I understand the feeling of working one’s rear end off and not getting anything in return. I know the feeling. Guess it’s because I am not on of those so-called “Out of touch wealthy Conservatives” that I keep hearing about. I wish I was man, I wouldn’t be in this living situtation, that’s for sure.

However there is one little quote, that did tweak me just a little:

“We don’t invest in the future, and Republicans do,” says John Aravosis, the founder of AMERICAblog. “The party committees really get that we can be effective as their partners and that we’re happy to help, and they take advantage of that. But even so, very little ad money comes from them. It’s more than just wanting to share in the spoils. We are small business-people who are fighting to survive economically in a really bad year.”

I just talked to John in an e-mail conversation today, so I am going to not go the baseball bat route here. But I will agree with AllahPundit here; We Conservatives in the same boat man. I don’t get any magical fund from some rich Conservative here, at all. I do not know the true business model of HotAir L.L.C. okay? For all I know they’re getting donations from The Heritage Foundation or The Project for the New American Century, or even Neil & John Podhartz for all I know. (…and considering thier political stance, it would not surprise me in the least….)  But me? Nope! Only monies I get off this little rinky dink Blog, is from Advertising or if someone well off sap decides to have momentary lapse of reason and hits my tip jar. Which for the record, has yet to happen. (Hint, Hint!)

Reality is a dish served cold

It seems that Israel is unimpressed by the hope and change montra of Barack Obama.

Via the Jerusalem Post:

“Israel does not take orders from [Barack] Obama,” Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) said on Monday, responding to an earlier statement by the US president in which he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to all previous understandings between Israel and the Palestinians, including the process launched at Annapolis, Maryland, in 2007.

Erdan, who is also the liaison between the cabinet and the Knesset, praised Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman (Israel Beiteinu), who only last week said Israel was not bound by the Annapolis talks because it had never been approved by the cabinet or the Knesset.

“In voting for [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu the citizens of Israel have decided that they will not become the US’s 51st state,” said Erdan, who was representing the coalition in a Knesset discussion of Lieberman’s controversial statements. He added, however, that “Obama is a friend of Israel and the United States is an important ally, and everything between us will be the result of communication.”

As the title of the post states, reality is a dish served cold; the crew of the of the USS Liberty found this out on June 8, 1967. When Israeli forces supposedly accidentally bombed one of our ships during the six day war. I say “supposedly” because much information has surfaced in the last couple of years, that the bombing was totally intentional. Much, if not all of this information has been suppressed by the main stream media and by the United States Government up until very recently.

I have always held the opinion that Israel does not see the United States as an true ally. But more of a useful idiot. Because of the overwhelming support by Christian Zionists who somehow or another see Israel has their rightful home; which if someone actually did study their Bible and learn how to interpret it properly, they would see the Zionism is nothing more than a man-made lie to produce money for a sin-depraved Nation and for a group of people going to straight to hell for rejecting Christ as their messiah.

However, there is a good reason for the continuance of the furtherance of this manufactured lie; Money. The money raised by the Zionist shills is good for Church Business and good for the shills that peddle this idiotic doctrine. Having said all the that, it is good to see that for a change that one of Israel’s leaders has finally decided to speak freely about what Americas real role in Israel really is, instead of the well manufactured lie that they have been peddling to the Christian World for so long.

The Federal Government cracks down on the Scam Mortgage Loaners , except for the most important one

So much for enforcing the law….:

The Obama administration has already unveiled its plan to stem the rising home foreclosure rate, but with foreclosure scams also increasing, the administration today announced a multi-agency effort to crack down on scams that prey on struggling homeowners.

“Just as this administration has intensified our efforts to help American homeowners, those who would seek to prey on the most vulnerable are intensifying their tactics as well, often through purported mortgage modification and foreclosure relief companies,” Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said at an announcement in Washington. “These are predatory schemes designed to rob Americans of their savings and potentially their homes.”

The FBI is currently investigating more than 2,100 mortgage fraud cases, up 400 percent from five years ago

via Feds Crack Down on Foreclosure Scams – ABC News.

Hip Hip Hooray, Obama is enforcing the law!  Well, perhaps not. 🙄

Judicial Watch reports that the two biggest corrupt lenders; Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack, have broken the law for years. What excatly is President Teleprompter and his attack Dog Tim Geithner AKA Eddie Haskel doing about this?

*crickets*

You guessed it! Not a damn thing……. So much for all the “Hope and Change” and a new direction in America. As I long suspected a very long time ago, it is simply more of the same from an empty suit, who’s big on speeches and low on substance.

Update: Hello to all the Freepers reading this! 😀 Please take a look around, you might just like it here. 🙂

Obama says “We’re not at war with Islam”

I really don’t get why this is new, as Bush said this as well. But Here goes!:

Barack Obama, making his first visit to a Muslim nation as president, declared Monday the United States “is not and will never be at war with Islam.”

Urging a greater partnership with the Islamic world in an address to the Turkish parliament, Obama called the country an important U.S. ally in many areas, including the fight against terrorism. He devoted much of his speech to urging a greater bond between Americans and Muslims, portraying terrorist groups such as al Qaida as extremists who do not represent the vast majority of Muslims.

“Let me say this as clearly as I can,” Obama said. “The United States is not and never will be at war with Islam. In fact, our partnership with the Muslim world is critical … in rolling back a fringe ideology that people of all faiths reject.”

The U.S. president is trying to mend fences with a Muslim world that felt it had been blamed by America for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

via Obama declares US not at war with Islam- AP.

From what I understand there are some that are not happy about the statement underlined above. Ed Morrissey weighs in here:

Obama spoke in the tradition established by Bush over the last seven-plus years of emphasizing that America did not declare war on Islam.  That’s been obvious through our partnership with Islamic nations, such as Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, just to name a few.  And he’s right; the last thing we would want to do would be to declare war on a billion people just on the basis of their religion.  The more we can keep the Muslims on the sidelines, the better off we are in fighting against the radicals.

However, the AP wants to pretend that this is some new effort by the US to assure Muslims of our intentions.  It decidedly is not, and perhaps a mention that Bush tried making these same assurances for almost his entire presidency would be in order here.

Well Ed, When your name is George and you are a Christian white man from Texas, it is a bit harder to sell that idea. Let’s face it; Obama is a black man with a Islamic middle name, it’s just going to be easier to sell that idea for President Obama; than it was for President Bush. I believe the majority of “Americanized” Muslims understood this, but it was the Muslims abroad that felt it was an attack on the Islamic Faith.

I just hope that Obama is able to make that sell. Because the last thing we need is war with Islam itself.

So much for Obama’s Christianity…

I must confess… When I read this little gem, I let out a snort:

In an age when people are naturally preoccupied with the coldly rational reality of a troubled economy, it is reassuring to know that the finer details of political theology are still subject to debate.  According to a recent statement out of the Vatican, President Obama appears to have a passing interest in medieval gnosticism.  Father Raniero Cantalamessa, a preacher to the Pontifical Household, has stated that the president referred to Joachim of Fiore (1135-1202) at least three times in his speeches during his election campaign.  This Cistercian abbot with a heretical reputation was praised by Obama as a “master of contemporary civilization” who sought to create a better world.

The reason why this strikes me as so funny is because during the election, there were so many people falling all over themselves declaring that Obama was some sort of “Born Again Believer.” I said at the time and I’ll say it again; According to which Bible? Not the one I read! That is for sure.

Judgmental? Hardly. I base what I say upon the Bible, and according to those standards, Obama falls dreadfully short.

Another Police Shooting in Pittsburgh, Man Paranoid about Obama, Liberal Bloggers Blame Conservative Media

This is sad. 🙁

Pittsburgh police say a man wearing a bulletproof vest opened fire on officers during a domestic disturbance call, killing three of them.

Police chief Nate Harper says the motive for Saturday’s shooting isn’t clear.

Friends say the gunman recently had been upset about losing his job and that he feared the Obama administration was poised to ban guns.

The three dead officers are Eric Kelly, Stephen Mayhle and Paul Sciullo III. Kelly had been on the force for 14 years and the other two only two years each.

Another officer was shot in the hand and a fifth broke his leg on a fence.

The gunman, 23-year-old Richard Poplawski, was arrested after a four-hour standoff.

via FOXNews.com – Shooter Wearing Bulletproof Vest Guns Down 3 Pittsburgh Officers, Upset Over Losing Job

It’s sad, but it is also sick; it seems now that some Liberal Bloggers are now blaming the Conservative media for this shooting. Which I think is a bunch of bull crap. As much as I know that it ticks off  the left, but the truth of the matter is this. If someone is going to grab a gun and kill someone, they are going to do it regardless if they listen to Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Randi Rhoads or Stephanie Miller.

The point here is this, this dude and the dude in New York had issues, seriously bad mental issues. The sad part is, that he had access to firearms. The State of Michigan and I assume the State of New York and Pennsylvania have very good gun laws that keep people from getting guns that have diagnosed mental illnesses. However, it cannot stop people who have issues that are not diagnosed. I mean, the Government is not a mind reader.  The sad part is, that Liberals are going to use this as some sort of sick excuse to rally for more Governmental regulation and stripping of our Gun rights. I am afraid that is this simply not the answer.

The truth of the matter is that there are mentally ill people out there and they are going to do stuff like this, it is just a fact of life. I just do not buy the idiotic notion that the Conservative media, Glenn Back, Sean Hannity or any of the rest of them are to blame. There are millions of sane, rational people that listen to these programs on a daily basis and they have never done anything stupid like this.

Another thing that highly annoys me is this; is how the Media is trying to engage in the profiling of the shooter in New York. He is being described is a quiet type, who harbored some hatred towards America. Well, let me be the first to say that, I am, in fact, a quiet type. I’m not a Fred Flintstone type. I keep to myself, I’m not very outgoing at all. Hey, I am unemployed, except for this Blog. I don’t drive around wasting gas, it is called being smart and frugal. I feel like people with personalities like mine are simply unfairly being singled out.  There’s nothing wrong with being an introvert. We quiet people tend to be thinkers. I also, the portrait being painted about those who value their gun rights is totally unfair. I believe in the second amendment, if I were living along, I would own a gun, I would register it; as I believe in complying with the law.

I just do not understand why the Left Wing Media and the Liberal Bloggers are using two major tragedies like these to try and further an anti-gun agenda and a Conservative Media hysteria agenda. It does sort of remind me of the Jewish hysteria agenda that Hitler started in Germany.

Update: Flopping Aces makes a very valid point, in reaction to this here:

I’m sorry, didn’t hear that kind of statement when this happened.

Update #2: There is now a facebook page with a petition to get the shooting in PA; Richard Poplawski charged with Capital Murder. I’ve signed it, I suggest you do as well. No matter what political stripe you are, this guy commited murder. He should be punished with such.

Even More Professional Behavior from President Teleprompter

This is unbelievable:

The bankers struggled to make themselves clear to the president of the United States.

Arrayed around a long mahogany table in the White House state dining room last week, the CEOs of the most powerful financial institutions in the world offered several explanations for paying high salaries to their employees — and, by extension, to themselves.

“These are complicated companies,” one CEO said. Offered another: “We’re competing for talent on an international market.”

But President Barack Obama wasn’t in a mood to hear them out. He stopped the conversation and offered a blunt reminder of the public’s reaction to such explanations. “Be careful how you make those statements, gentlemen. The public isn’t buying that.”

“My administration,” the president added, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”

via Inside Obama’s bank CEOs meeting – Eamon Javers – POLITICO.com.

Talking about cashing in on the public outrage! What’s more is this one here:

There were signs from the outset that this was a business event, not a social gathering. At each place around the table sat a single glass of water. No ice. For those who finished their glass, no refills were offered. There was no group photograph taken of the CEOs with the president, which typically happens at ceremonial White House gatherings but not at serious strategy sessions.

“The only way they could have sent a more Spartan message is if they had served bread along with the water,” says a person who attended the meeting. “The signal from Obama’s body language and demeanor was, ‘I’m the president, and you’re not.’”

Way to go there Mr. Bambi, piss off the very people that made you on wall street. What more do the people need to see, to realize that electing this buffoon was the biggest mistake America ever made?

You know, I criticized Bush relentlessly during the man’s time in office. But the actions of this new President is starting make me really wonder just how better off we truly are. I mean; this guy is right now over in Europe, and now going to France to make speeches saying that the United States of America was arrogant?? I have to admit, I do not always agree with Sean Hannity, But tonight he was spot on. Obama ought to be impeached for treason, first for bowing an Arab leader and then going overseas and basically sounding like the Dixie Chicks! I am, quite frankly, surprised that our media here has given him a pass on that one. But then again, when you are in the tank for the guy. What can one expect??

Not to mention that, he is spending like a drunken sailor, which is going to weaken our dollar. It is truly unbelievable.

You see people want to say that Bush caused all this economic recession, and that’s just flat out horse hockey! Bush did not cause this recession, Bill Clinton did! Clinton was one the one who placed the high pressure on the big lending institutions, like Freddie Mack and Fannie Mae to give loans to those who could not normally afford them. Then the people on Wall Street, thanks to the stupid deregulation of the Markets, cooked up these crazy credit swaps.  Bush’s White House saw the impending disaster and warned sternly the Republican controlled Congress that there were signs that the Markets are showing signs that there was about to be a serious problem. This was in 2003, Congress then began an investigation and the then President/CEO or whatever the hell you call him, who was black, did what any black person does when they’re under the gun. He played the race card. Rep. Barney Frank sat right up there and said there was no crisis.

So, this whole notion that is being peddled by the Democrats is totally false and is basically revisionist history. No wonder Bill O’Rielly flipped out on Barney Frank. Because the man is a damned liar. As are the Democrats in general. But yet, the President can sit there and act like a total asshole?!?! It was his party that created this whole mess!

Unbelievable, just totally unbelievable.

The Southern Avenger on “Steadfast Sanford”

When hundreds of protesters showed up at the South Carolina statehouse to protest Gov. Mark Sanford’s refusal to accept $700 million in federal stimulus, it was worth noting how Sanford doesn’t represent economic disaster – but perhaps the only chance we’ve got.

Oops! White House Reporters call in to talk to Hillary…Get Phone Sex Operator Instead!

The Jokes write themselves:

Journalists seeking to talk a little foreign policy with high-profile Obama administration officials live from the G20 meetings in London this week were solicited for phone sex instead after ringing up the toll-free number given by the White House.

In a press release, the White House accidentally listed a sex line number for journalists seeking an “on-the-record briefing call with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and National Security Advisor Jim Jones to discuss the NATO summit.”

But after dialing, a soft-voiced female recording that was clearly not Clinton asked for a credit card number if you “feel like getting nasty.”

After several efforts to make sure that the phone number was correctly dialed, a call to the White House resulted in a corrected press release. “If you are having trouble dialing into the call, please try this number as an alternative,” and listed the international line included for reporters abroad to dial.

By this time, the conference call was already under way.

Asked for comment about this mishap, Deputy White House Press Secretary Bill Burton responded: “A corrected phone number on a press release is probably one of the stupider things FOX News has covered lately.”

I will admit, when I saw this one, I did do the teen-like outburst of “BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

…and besides all that, getting nasty….:

Justice is Served -Blagojevich, brother and top aides indicted

One again, I have faith in our Nation’s justice system:

Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, his brother, and a former top fundraiser were among six men indicted today on political corruption charges, the U.S. attorney’s office in Chicago announced.

In addition to Rob Blagojevich, 53, and fundraiser Christopher Kelly, 50, charged were Lon Monk, 50, a lobbyist and former Blagojevich chief of staff; John Harris, 47, also a former chief of staff to Blagojevich; and William Cellini, 74, a Springfield insider for decades.

The sweeping indictment comes four months after Blagojevich was arrested and charged with engaging in pay-to-play politics in a major federal complaint that accused him of trading state jobs, contracts and regulatory favors for campaign contributions.

Disgraceful. President Obama should be impeached on charges of TREASON! For bowing to a foreign leader. The Bastard. 😡

Of course, when your middle name is Hussein and you will not release your original birth certificate, what else can one expect? Maybe he was paying homage to his REAL ethnic heritage? You can prove me wrong, Barry, anytime you like, by releasing the original. But we all know that Barry will not do that. Because he knows what he is hiding. 😡

Negro Kentucky Columnist Attacks Michelle Malkin

Well, it seems that the myth that Barack Hussein Obama was going to usher in a new era has been officially disproved.

Some unknown hosebag negro who thinks she can write has attacked Michelle Malkin.

Columnist Betty Beye writes:

bettybayeFlummoxed.

I don’t recall ever using that word before in a column, but it’s a great description of how some folks are behaving toward President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama…

…To be sure, the flummoxed come in all shapes, sizes and colors. There’s Rush Limbaugh, the perpetually angry white guy, and Michelle Malkin, the acidic Asian-American columnist, who has written that the mere sight of Michelle Obama on a video frightened her young son. And don’t forget Thomas Sowell, the African-American economist and syndicated columnist. All are apoplectic about Barack Obama’s rise.

First of all, Michelle Malkin is an American. You would never see here call herself a Asian-American or Philippine-American or any of that sort. She’s a true-blue American who has assimilated our culture, Unlike the Negro Liberals who want to hold on to thier African culture and want to try and change OUR culture here in America.  Of course, you would have known this; if you would have stopped eating your Cheetos and drinking your grape Kool-Aid long enough to get off your lazy butt and actually do some research on Michelle Malkin. [Fixed: thanks to commentor BayAreaPhilosopher!]

It amazes me that people like this women here, are so damned Jealous of Michelle’s success as a syndicated Columnist and Conservative Blogger, that they have to stoop to the low brow attacks.

Nothing pisses me off more than a uppity black woman with an attitude. Kind of like Michelle Obama. 🙄

Update: I know some idiot Liberal is going to read through my Blog and see this here, and most likely attack me for it.  Well, let me say this here. I wrote this article in the confrontational style that I did because of this woman’s obvious racist comments in her column. “Angry White Man?” and “Asian-American?” and even going as far to slam a fellow Black man, because he doesn’t get in line with the Liberal thought process? Isn’t that a plantation mentality? Isn’t that a facist mantality? Anyhow, I didn’t let the racist crap fly in the posting linked, because my fight with Black Liberal is not about SKIN COLOR, but about thier stupid liberalism. Period. End of Story. Is the Obama Administration letting G.M.’s New C.E.O. do it’s dirty work for them?

Full Disclosure: My Father is a Retired General Motors Worker and U.A.W. Member.

——-

It sure as heck looks that way to me here.

The reason I ask this question is because a new report from CNBC that the new C.E.O. of GM is essentially saying that bankruptcy is the only option:

General Motors’s new chief executive told CNBC that filing for Bankruptcy may be the best option for the struggling automaker.

In a taped interview to be aired tonight on NBC Nightly News, Fritz Henderson said that because of greater demands from the Obama administration to restructure, GM is considering the bankruptcy option. The auto giant previously had ruled out such a move, saying it would discourage people from buying GM cars.

Henderson’s comments came after President Obama bluntly rejected turnaround plans by GM and Chrysler and demanded that both companies make fresh concessions in order to get more federal aid.

Henderson, who was GM’s president and chief operating officer, was named the new CEO after the government forced the resignation of CEO Rick Wagoner on Sunday. GM’s board is also being restructured.

Henderson told reporters that the company would still prefer to restructure outside of court, but the level of support Washington is offering would help the company quickly restructure through bankruptcy.

Henderson says GM  needs to work faster and go deeper to get more concessions from bondholders and the United Auto Workers union. President Obama has demanded that GM come up with a better restructuring plan in 60 days in order to qualify for more government aid.

I find it very interesting that President Obama, instead of doing the dirty deed himself, ousted the CEO of G.M. and basically has let the new G.M. head honcho be his fall guy for basically screwing the bond holders and also the unions. This way, Barry comes off clean. It is a strategy that is quite slick, quite risky; but none the less slick.

The Wall Street Journal has more:

Inside a windowless, ornate room Thursday just across from the Oval Office, President Barack Obama and a group of senior economic advisers began the job of remaking the American automobile industry.

The first order of business: Oust General Motors Corp. Chief Executive Rick Wagoner.

It “wasn’t the hardest decision,” said one government official.

Steven Rattner, a former investment banker who is heading the administration’s auto restructuring; chief economic adviser Lawrence Summers; and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner were among those gathered around the polished wood table of the Roosevelt Room in the White House’s West Wing. They were there to decide under what conditions the government would continue to prop up once-powerful Detroit car companies GM and Chrysler LLC.

In the post-World War II boom, they were at the pinnacle of a quintessentially American industry. At Thursday’s meeting, once the Obama administration concluded the pair were running out of money, their effective dismantling began.

Beyond seeking Mr. Wagoner’s resignation, the officials also gave failing grades to GM and Chrysler for the restructuring plans they submitted to the government Feb. 17. They also set a deadline — one month for Chrysler, two months for GM — after which the government might force a bankruptcy restructuring of both companies and break up two of America’s business icons.

Many of GM’s problems didn’t start during Mr. Wagoner’s term, and most predate the economic downturn that sent car sales slumping, such as union contracts and the costs of paying for retiree health care. GM made a bad situation worse with huge bets on trucks and SUVs that piled up on dealer lots amid soaring gas prices last year.

While I will be the first to tell you, that General Motors has had its own share of issues. What Barack Obama did to G.M. and by proxy to the Union members and Employees of the company; was just flat out cowardly. Instead of forcing General Motors into bankruptcy himself.  Obama is allowing the new head honcho of the company and his Auto Czar; do it for him. This way Obama does not burn through his political capital as quickly and more or less comes out looking like the hero. Of course, President TelePrompter will say that he inherited this mess, and by rights he did. But to pass off the basic executing of a company and it’s people to someone else, is quite the cowardly move in my book.

Hey Barry, If you ever happen to read this; Grow some freaking Gonads, will ya? I mean, come on. If you going to screw the American worker; why not do it yourself? Instead of letting your damned patsies do it for you. Just a thought.

David Horowitz, A Concern Troll?

Wow, I must admit, I did not see this one coming, at all. 😮

I have been watching an interesting phenomenon on the Right, which is beginning to cause me concern. I am referring to the over-the-top hysteria in response to the first months in office of our new president, which distinctly reminds me of the “Bush Is Hitler” crowd on the Left.

Speaking of this crowd, have you seen any “I am so sorry” postings from that quarter as Obama continues and even escalates the former president’s war policy in Afghanistan and attempts to consolidate his military occupation of Iraq?

Conservatives, please. Let’s not duplicate the manias of the Left as we figure out how to deal with Mr. Obama. He is not exactly the anti-Christ, although a disturbing number of people on the Right are convinced he is.

I have recently received commentaries that claim that “Obama’s speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history” and “never has a politician in this land had such a quasi-religious impact on so many people” and “Obama is a narcissist,” which leads the author to then compare Obama to David Koresh, Charles Manson, Stalin and Saddam Hussein. Excuse me while I blow my nose.

via FrontPage Magazine.

Well, I won’t sit here and lie, I see his point. It’s a valid one too. If the far right would do their legit jobs and point the fallacies in Obama polices, instead of trying to prove that he’s anything from an alien to the Anti-Christ, they’d would be doing something.

President Barack Obama asks G.M. CEO Rick Wagoner to resign

Full disclosure: My Father is a Retired G.M. Employee and a member of the United Auto Workers.

I have known about this for a while. I’ve just been waiting for as much info as I could get, before doing a post on it.

Originally Via the Politico:

The Obama administration asked Rick Wagoner, the chairman and CEO of General Motors, to step down and he agreed, a White House official said.

On Monday, President Barack Obama is to unveil his plans for the auto industry, including a response to a request for additional funds by GM and Chrysler. The plan is based on recommendations from the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry, headed by the Treasury Department.

The White House confirmed Wagoner was leaving at the government’s behest after The Associated Press reported his immediate departure, without giving a reason.

General Motors issued a vague statement Sunday night that did not officially confirm Wagoner’s departure.

“We are anticipating an announcement soon from the Administration regarding the restructuring of the U.S. auto industry. We continue to work closely with members of the Task Force and it would not be appropriate for us to speculate on the content of any announcement,” the company said.

The surprise announcement about the classically iconic American corporation is perhaps the most vivid sign yet of the tectonic change in the relationship between business and government in this era of subsidies and bailouts.

Reaction from the Conservative Blogsophere has been predictable negative. Also I have observed via the local media, that some auto workers are not happy about the President asking a C.E.O. to resign.

I have an opinion on this. It is simply this. I want to wait and see what happens. I do not want to pass judgment upon this until I see what is going to happen. This could be a bad thing and then again, it could be a very good thing. I shall, like many from this God-Forsaken part of the Country are playing the wait and see game.

Reaction to this from the Editorial board of the The Detroit Free Press is not a good one:

The risk was there from the start.

The federal money flowing to Detroit to help struggling automakers was always going to come with strings.

But there’s a fine line between holding General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC accountable for a pile of taxpayer cash and inappropriate government efforts to actually run the companies.

President Barack Obama’s Auto Task Force may have crossed that line over the weekend when it reportedly asked for GM Chairman Rick Wagoner’s resignation as part of a plan to get more aid to the struggling automaker.

It’s hard to see how canning the chief executive is far shy of actually running the company. And if that’s the case, if GM’s federal overseers are stepping up their efforts to actually manage GM through its restructuring, this sets an awful precedent, both on general principle and in this particular instance.

The principle at stake says government shouldn’t manage private businesses. GM has a board of directors that, no matter its many mistakes, is accountable for the company’s fate. The government should ensure the board doesn’t squander taxpayer funds, but that doesn’t include selecting the company’s leadership.

It didn’t for banks, mortgage companies or insurance outfits like AIG. Why should GM be treated differently?

Something tells me that there is going to be a huge blow back from this and it might just cost Obama a reelection, should be try and run in 2012.

The Economist wakes up from the Hope and Change Stupor

Looks like one the major media supporters of President Obama has basically said, “Well, perhaps not!”

But at home Mr Obama has had a difficult start. His performance has been weaker than those who endorsed his candidacy, including this newspaper, had hoped. Many of his strongest supporters—liberal columnists, prominent donors, Democratic Party stalwarts—have started to question him. As for those not so beholden, polls show that independent voters again prefer Republicans to Democrats, a startling reversal of fortune in just a few weeks. Mr Obama’s once-celestial approval ratings are about where George Bush’s were at this stage in his awful presidency. Despite his resounding electoral victory, his solid majorities in both chambers of Congress and the obvious goodwill of the bulk of the electorate, Mr Obama has seemed curiously feeble.

There is a great deal more over that at the article, I do encourage you to click the link and go over and read it. Some on the left would argue that the Economist is a “rich man’s” magazine. As much as it pains me to say this; when you have lost the rich elitist class, you start losing everyone else too. I say it pains me, because I have always had a problem with elitism. It just goes against my grain. I was not born into wealth, I was raised in a middle class family. Do not get me wrong, I do not fault people for being wealthy; because most of the time it is because someone, somewhere, worked their tails off to get that way. But the whole snobbery thing turns me off, in a big way.

Of course, and I say this with a bit of dread; because I know some moronic liberal is going to read this and go run to their fellow liberal blogger buddies and tell them that I am some sort of a racist, which is silly, anyone that knows me well, knows that I am not. ——  This is what happens when a Political Party pushes a man out front of other more qualified persons and elects him. —– all because of his skin color. The painful truth that was very well articulated by another Democratic Party Candidate Geraldine Farrow;  was that the only reason that Obama was where he was, was because he was black. This, of course, caused that race hustling crowd to break into a frenzy. In the end, this might have hurt Hillary’s campaign, but the underlining truth was totally cast aside. That Obama was being given a free ride, a free pass, or just treated differently, because he was black.

That not an observation made out of hate, racism or any of that sort of nonsense, it is one made simply based upon the facts. Anyone that takes anything other than this away from this Blog posting has got a serious problem.

About Reid’s comments on Roberts

This is kinda odd.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Friday that John Roberts misled the Senate during his confirmation hearings by pretending to be a moderate — and that the United States is now “stuck” with him as chief justice.

“Roberts didn’t tell us the truth. At least Alito told us who he was,” Reid said, referring to Samuel Alito, the second Supreme Court justice nominated by President George W. Bush. “But we’re stuck with those two young men, and we’ll try to change by having some moderates in the federal courts system as time goes on — I think that will happen.”

Reid’s comments, which came during a wide-ranging discussion hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, reflect Democratic concerns that Roberts presented himself as a neutral arbiter of the law but has wielded a relentlessly conservative agenda. Republicans reject the attacks, saying Roberts has been a fair judge and has been consistent in his opinions.

I guess my only question is, why’d Reid believe him in the first place? I mean, the dude is a Conservative. You’d think that even Liberal Reid would know not to take his word for it.
