The Politico Admits what Bloggers have known for years….

That the Main Stream Media uses Blogs for it’s political news gathering.

For the past two years, several hundred left-leaning bloggers, political reporters, magazine writers, policy wonks and academics have talked stories and compared notes in an off-the-record online meeting space called JournoList.

Proof of a vast liberal media conspiracy?

Not at all, says Ezra Klein, the 24-year-old American Prospect blogging wunderkind who formed JournoList in February 2007. “Basically,” he says, “it’s just a list where journalists and policy wonks can discuss issues freely.”

But some of the journalists who participate in the online discussion say — off the record, of course — that it has been a great help in their work. On the record, The New Yorker’s Jeffrey Toobin acknowledged that a Talk of the Town piece — he won’t say which one — got its start in part via a conversation on JournoList. And JLister Eric Alterman, The Nation writer and CUNY professor, said he’s seen discussions that start on the list seep into the world beyond.

via JournoList: Inside the echo chamber – Michael Calderone – POLITICO.com.

…..and a collective “Duh!” went up over the Blogosphere.  This what I, and every other Blogger has known for years, that the MSM uses the Political Blogosphere for collecting its news.

An interesting quote:

“I’m very lazy about writing when I’m not getting paid,” Alterman said. “So if I take the trouble to write something in any detail on the list, I tend to cannibalize it. It doesn’t surprise me when I see things on the list on people’s blogs.”

He is not the only one. I’ve read where even Bill O’Reilly has ripped off elements of the Conservative political Blogosphere and not even bothered to credit it’s sources. Which is about typical for the journalistic world. “Let’s rip off the Bloggers, nobody reads those things anyhow!” Think I’m full of it? Think again. 90% of all political stories come from our realm.

As for the conspiracy aspect of it. I don’t really buy into that. The Liberals are doing simply what the Conservatives did in the 1990’s when Bill Clinton beat George H.W. Bush in the elections. They’re organizing their media outlets. Exchanging information to report on. It is really no big deal.

So, I really do not see what the big fuss is about. Democrats got smart, after losing 2 elections, and before that, having a disaster for a President; the Democrats are just not going to screw this chance up, when it getting things right this time. I cannot fault them for this.

I do believe that the Politico is really trying to make a boogie man sitution out of something that just really is not there.  There is nothing wrong the Blogging world working with it’s political counterparts to get their message on point. I believe if the G.O.P. had done this more and had gotten it’s message right and a great number of other things right, Obama might have lost this election. The trouble is the G.O.P. was busy harping on rather stupid stuff, than on the real message at hand.

So, while this might be a nice headline for the Meme Trackers. There is nothing in this story that I, at least, find to be of a scandalous nature.

Don Imus has From Stage II Prostate Cancer

Some Sad News:

Radio host Don Imus announced on his radio show Monday that he is battling stage II prostate cancer.

Imus, 68, known for his controversial and outspoken opinions on everything from sports to politics, offered no word on his prognosis but said that he had full confidence “his doctors will beat it.”

Imus made the announcement Monday on his morning show from New York, which airs on ABC Radio Networks and cable’s RFD-TV. He said he wrestled with the idea of making it public, but figured he should because he might have to miss some work due to treatment.

“I’m changing the name of the Imus Cattle Ranch for Kids with Cancer to the Imus Cattle Ranch for Kids with cancer and me,” he said, referring to his charity to help children with cancer.

Imus said he has early stage cancer, which means it hasn’t spread outside the prostate.

“The day you find out is fine,” he said. “But the next morning when you get up, your knees are shaking. I didn’t think I could make it to work.”

Imus said he was surprised more than anything about the diagnosis, since he’s been intent on following a healthy diet for the past decade.

He noted that doctors seemed reluctant to talk about one of his big worries: What prostate cancer treatment will mean for his sex life.

Hang in there Don and fight. Fight like bloody hell!

An Interesting Movie

I post this because I believe that it is interesting. Alex Jones has always struck me as a kook. Someone amongst the “Tin Foil Hat” crowd. However, it is something interesting to watch.

Enjoy…

What do you think? Do you think that there is any truth to this?

On Douthat

Yes, I’ve heard about it. I really do not have anything negative to say about him going to the NYT. Douthat on the other hand, I found to be a bit snobbish. I once sent him an e-mail and never got a response. I suppose that Mr. Douthat, a beltway type; has no time for us amateur basement dwellers. Which is pretty fucking ironic, because that is how this whole blogging thing got started, by a bunch of basement dwellers who decided to start writing about politics; Liberal, Conservative, and yes even Libertarian…. and decided to make our own damned community.

I agree with the fact that Douthat will most likely will do better than David Brooks, and believe that is not saying much at all. Brooks was about a fucking idiot. He was a perfect example of the idiotic mumbling that comes out of the Neo-Conservative circles anymore. Which is why the Harlem globetrotter is in the White House now.

Anyhow, I hope he does well and gets his facts straight, because God-knows the Republican Party needs a image makeover right now.

An Interesting Video

Okay, I’d like some feedback on this video here. (H/T to this guy)

Not sure what to think…. Opinions Please.

The only part I really disagreed with is, the part about a Republican style of Government. I do not believe that it was referring to the modern day Republican Party, But rather was referring to a Republic style of Government and not the actual party itself.  This would be in contrast to British Monarchy or a, dare I say it?  A Socialist Democracy. 😀

Again, feedback, Please, comment!

That B. Hussien Obama is a big fat liar. (As are most Democrats.)

Obama in trouble?

Looks that way. Looks like some of the “Pro-Obama” media and the not-so “Pro-Obama” media are beginning to see, what the rest of America is seeing as well.

Via an opinion piece at the D.C. Examiner:

Did you feel it? The political ground shifting beneath President Barack Obama since his speech last week to Congress? It’s been  downhill since and I’m not referring mainly to the Dow Jones record-setting dive. The pivot point of the shift was the speech, or rather what the speech did to the evolving public narrative of Obama.

Let’s review:

* Since the first of the year, Rush Limbaugh’s audience has exploded , according to Howard Kurtz of The Washington Post, even as his daily assaults on Obama have intensified. The conservative Talk Radio maestro has become quite possibly the most listened-to radio personality in America since before Paul Harvey (God rest his soul).

Demand for his air time has suddenly become so intense, Limbaugh told The Examiner’s Byron York earlier today, that his network sold 80 percent as much advertising in January 2009 as it did in all of 2008, and expects to sell-out the year by the end of March. That was before Obama and White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel launched an explicit counter-attack against Limbaugh that seems only to be making him bigger.

* Glenn Beck’s eminently forgettable presence on CNN has been transformed, according to The Los Angeles Times, by his move to Fox News where his main theme has been variations on this question – Wake Up! Wake UP! What in Heaven’s name does Barack Obama think he is doing to America? Beck has a tough time slot from which to win big ratings because he’s in the middle of evening drive-time. Even so, in a very short period of time at Fox, his audience has grown to the point that it is now exceeded only by those of Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.

Via The Washington Post:

Washington has spent the past couple of weeks debating whether Barack Obama’s ambitious agenda and political strategy are more comparable to those of Franklin Roosevelt or Ronald Reagan. Oddly, hardly anyone is talking about the ways in which Obama is beginning to resemble the man who just vacated the White House.

Most Americans are eager to forget about George W. Bush. But just over seven years ago, Bush found himself in much the same position as the new president today — leading the country through what was universally considered a national emergency. In the weeks after Sept. 11, 2001, Bush’s approval rating soared above 80 percent at home. London, Berlin and even Moscow rallied behind him. A front-page analysis in The Post in late November said that “President Bush [has] a dominance over American government . . . rivaling even Franklin D. Roosevelt’s command.”

Then, according to today’s established wisdom, Bush squandered his chance to lead. Three cardinal errors are commonly cited: The president failed to ask a willing nation for sacrifice, instead inviting consumers to shop and heaping on more tax cuts. Rather than forge a bipartisan response to the crisis, he used it to ram through big, polarizing pieces of the Republican Party’s ideological agenda — from asserting presidential powers to breach treaties to eliminating protections for federal workers. Worst, he chose to launch a war of choice in Iraq, thereby shredding what remained of post-Sept. 11 national unity and diverting attention and resources from the fight against al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

That brings us to the first weeks of the Obama administration, set against the background of a scary and steadily deepening global economic crisis. Last month, in his first address to Congress, Obama warned the country that fixing the huge problems in the financial markets and housing and auto industries would require a historic effort. “None of this will come without cost, nor will it be easy,” he said. “But this is America. We don’t do what’s easy. We do what is necessary to move this country forward.”

Minutes later, Obama spelled out what he proposes this to mean for 98 percent of Americans: “You will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime. In fact, the recovery plan provides a tax cut . . . and these checks are on the way.”

So much for summoning the country to sacrifice. Obama has been no more willing to ask average Americans to pitch in, even once the recession is over, than Bush.

Via Forbes:

To see what is in front of one’s nose,” George Orwell famously asserted, “needs a constant struggle.”

Congratulations this week to three journalists who have finally taken up that constant struggle: Christopher Buckley, David Gergen and David Brooks. All three used to insist that Obama was some species of centrist or moderate. Now that Obama has proposed the most massive expansion of government in the history of the republic, each has recognized that just conceivably he might have been mistaken.

A humorist–and, I should disclose, an old friend–Christopher Buckley exercised his acute comic sense during the presidential campaign, judging John McCain so thoroughly risible that the nation could hardly do worse by electing Barack Obama. Now Buckley has developed a sense of the tragic. In electing Obama, he admits, we may indeed have done worse–a lot worse.

“The strange thing,” Buckley wrote last week after listening to Obama address Congress, “is that one feels almost unpatriotic, entertaining negative thoughts about Mr. Obama’s grand plan. … One thing is certain, however: Government is getting bigger and will stay bigger. Just remember … that a government that is big enough to give you everything you want is also big enough to take it all away.”

“Just remember”? Coming from someone who just remembered, the exhortation might strike a lot of people as rich. But never mind.

Now a commentator for CNN, David Gergen served in a number of administrations, first working in the White House all the way back in the 1970s. To the extent that he possesses any coherent ideological outlook–a fine question to ask of someone who took jobs from both Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton–Gergen seems to share Alexander Hamilton’s view that the federal government requires, as Hamilton expressed it, “energy in the executive.”

During the campaign, Gergen praised Obama as a man of action. Now Gergen argues that Obama is displaying a little too much action.

“We are in the midst of a global crisis … that demands intense focus and daily leadership by the president …,” Gergen wrote this past week. “But … [Obama’s] … ambition for reforms in other areas do not allow him to give the economy his full attention.” The financial industry is reeling, Gergen asserted, “because there is still no clear-cut set of policies about how the government will rescue banks.” And “it is stunning that [Treasury] Secretary Tim Geithner does not yet have a deputy secretary or any undersecretaries named, much less on the job.”

Energy in the executive is one matter. Zealotry in the executive is another.

It is, in fact, a refreshing thing to see the media actually doing it’s job, rather to sit and act like the state owned Russian media for a change. Unfortunately, all of these people, left out Dana Milbank, who early on, had the, ahem… shall we say, courage?… to write critically about the Obama campaign and found himself eviscerated by none other than Obama cheerleader Keith Olbermann.

Of course, there will always be the eternal believer, that, no matter Obama does, will always believe that he is the savior of the world, that he will be crucified by the mean old media and will be raised again to take the American people to the “Promised Land”.  Whatever that is. 🙄

Of course, there is also the blogging world. Yes, that’s right, we’re usually the first to break the stories, and usually the last to get any credit. Waiting Just as well, we do deserve a bit of credit for not falling in the tank for the President, and actually using a semblance of a brain, when it came to writing about this new Administration. However, some within the confines of the Independent Conservative News and Commentary Blogosphere and not-so-Blogosphere, bordered on material worthy of the National Enquirer. But there were others, and there’s just too many to list here, who really did their jobs, and basically told, what is essential to the American people and to the fundamentals of this fine Republic and its continuance as a free and democratic society; the truth.

There is a famous line, in a movie of the title, “A Few Good Men”, and it goes something like this:

“You want answers?”

“I think I am entitled to it.”

“YOU WANT ANSWERS!!”

“I WANT THE TRUTH!”

“You can’t HANDLE the truth!”

The new higher ratings of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and even Bill O’Reilly have, and for good reason; proven that little lie very wrong. People can, will and want to handle the truth.

Here’s the Original Song:

Update: It seems that some Fascist Socialist Liberal twit keeps going around getting my video yanked. No biggie, if they yank it. I will find it elsewhere and put it up. History about the song and concert

New Lyrics:

Barry’s Farm

(Sung to the tune of Maggie’s Farm by Bob Dylan)

Written by Paleo Pat

I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
Well, I wake up in the morning,
Fold my hands and pray that I might keep my gain.
I got a bill full of Taxes
That are drivin’ me insane.
It’s a shame the way he makes me tip the whore.
Naw, I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.

I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Law’s no more.
I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Law’s no more.
Well, he hands you a Dollar,
Taxes you a dime,
Looks at you with a grin
While robbin’ you fuckin’ Blind,
Then he taxes you every time you open the door.
I ain’t gonna work under Barry’s Laws no more.

I ain’t gonna be a slave for Barry’s Government no more.
No, I ain’t be a Slave for Barry’s Government no more.
Well, he puts a Tax Bill
in your face just for kicks.
His White House
It is made out of Bricks.
The Secret Service stands around his door.
Ah, I ain’t gonna be a slave for Barry’s Government no more.

I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.
No, I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.
Well, she talks to all the people
About Equality and Race and Law.
All the while the workin’ people
Are payin’ for other peoples bad calls
She’s a lying thief, but she says her honesty stands tall.
Naw, I ain’t gonna work for Barry’s Bitch no more.

I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more.
Well, I try my best
To do the best I can,
But everybody wants you
To pay thier bills for them.
They eat steak while you slave and I just get bored.
I ain’t gonna work on Barry’s farm no more

Rush Challenges President Bambi to a debate

Not that I believe that the President will really do it, but it is noteworthy….

From the Big fat guy that has more money than me:

But I have an idea. If these guys are so impressed with themselves, and if they are so sure of their correctness, why doesn’t President Obama come on my show? We will do a one-on-one debate of ideas and policies. Now, his people in this Politico story, it’s on the record. They’re claiming they wanted me all along. They wanted me to be the focus of attention. So let’s have the debate! I am offering President Obama to come on this program — without staffers, without a teleprompter, without note cards — to debate me on the issues. Let’s talk about free markets versus government control. Let’s talk about nationalizing health care and raising taxes on small business.

However, anyone with a bucket of common sense knows that the President of the United States will not going on that show. That would be like Joseph McCarthy going on Edward R. Murrow’s to debate the existence of Communists in the Government. (Yes, Purists I know, He came on the show once in a pre-taped statement… I have watched “Good Night and Good Luck”) Better yet, it would be like Bill O’Reilly going on Keith Olbermann to debate Politics. Never.Gonna.Happen.

Um, No, I am not calling Obama a Communist, that’s Allan Keyes gig, and I don’t wanna put that guy out of a job. 😀

But then there’s this….:

I’m calling.  I’m ready.  I’ll do everything I can to facilitate it.  You’re a very courageous man, Mr. President.  I am, after all, just The Last Man Standing.  If you take me out, if you can wipe me out in a debate and prove to the rest of America that what I say is senseless and wrong, do you realize you will own the United States of America? You will have no opposition.  You have America’s media in your back pocket.  It’s amazing. In 1972, Richard Nixon had an enemies list, and the media was outraged by this.  They were outraged. At the same time, those who weren’t on it were a little jealous.  But they were outraged that a president would engage in this kind of behavior toward the media.  Now they go after a private citizen.

Rahm Emanuel is leading the team going after a private citizen, and the Drive-By Media applaud, get on board and help further the mission.  We live in different times.  So if you can wipe me out — and, by the way, Mr. President, and Mr. Emanuel: Don’t make the mistake of assuming I’m wiping myself out here in the process.  I want to thank you guys for elevating me beyond the stature I already earned and achieved, because now more and more Americans have the opportunity to learn who you really are, what your ideas will really accomplish, and what damage and harm I think your policies will bring for a very, very long time to them and to this country.  So I want to thank you for the opportunity.  Obviously, it’s a threat targeting me.  I’ve extended the invitation.  I’m looking forward to hearing back from whoever in your cabal one way or the other on accepting my offer.

Has anything bothered tell this meatball that he’s nothing more than the sideshow? I mean, I’ve had my heady moments in my day, but I am convinced that this guy sits around and jerks off to his own picture. Kind of like Sean Hannity, except with him, it’s nude pictures of 14 year old boys.

A Oddball Bunch, them Neo-Cons are…. 🙄

Edited to fix a rather humorous typo…. I had the right last name, just the wrong McCarthy! 😆 🙄 😛

Keith Olbermann’s Sexist, Racist & Slanderous Segment on “Countdown”

You know, I have always given Keith the benefit of the doubt, most of the time. I am a libertarian-minded kind of guy and a Paleo-Conservative, I watch Chris Matthew’s and David Shuster and Keith’s Show nightly; I avoid Maddow’s as it seem, by me at least, as a rehashing of Keith’s Show. However on his show today, Keith Olbermann blew any sort of doubt that I had that he was nothing more, than a hypocritical Liberal.

What appears below is a listing of some of the most egregious, condescending, slime ball stuff that I have ever seen on Keith’s Show, on MSNBC or in a News Cast, or in this case, a Political Opinion show. This goes beyond just your typical gentle political humor or condescending political snark. This rises to the level of outright slander. If I were Jindal, I would be getting a lawyer.

In this segment you will see the following:
  • A sexist slam towards Sarah Palin at the very beginning.
  • You will see the character “Ken the page” mock white people, particularly White Conservative males.
  • A Caveman Reference while referring to Gov. Bobby Jindal. (Racist, or just plain mean?)
  • A slanderous inference that the G.O.P. is the party of white people.
  • A slanderous Inference that Bobby Jindal is a Homosexual and a child molester.
  • An Comparison of Jindal to Gomer Pyle, by a black person, an obvious racial stereotype.
  • An obvious insult to the intelligence of white people or Southern people in general.
  • An inference that males, presumably whites, in the G.O.P, are primarily interested in women’s bodies and therefore are sexist.
  • A direct insult to G.O.P President, Michael Steele essentially calling him stupid or at best naive.

My question to my readers of this blog is this; if the tables were turned here, Politically, Racially, and so forth; would not the Liberals be screaming from the rooftops for the head of said broadcaster? Did not Don Imus lose his job for doing something very similar to this? Only difference is that Don Imus was White and the girls insulted were Black. My question then is this, how is it that a Liberal so called “News Anchor” and a black female comedian can make these sort of remarks and not a thing happen to them? That so called Comedian, did everything but call G.O.P President Michael Steele a stupid Conservative Negro on live Television!

The reason why I am writing this is because of the following; The Democrats won. I just do not understand why there seems to be this insatiable desire to continually slander Conservatives; over and over and over. It just does not make any sense. I mean, they won, can they not just move on and stop with the continual bashing?

I know, there is going to be a Liberal that is going to read this and say, “Well, Conservatives do it too!!!” Some do, Sean Hannity; Yes, he does it. Bill O’Reilly? Not so much or at least not as bad. I have been watching the repeat of his show at night at 11:00PM locally here. He seems to have lightened up quite a bit, since the end of the election. Either that or Murdoch got onto him for being a bit over the top.

My point is here is that Keith, MSNBC, NBC in general is crazy for allowing this sort of a thing to happen on a public show. Keith should be reprimanded for this sort of behavior. I realize that this Blog won’t result in much, that Liberal network has no standards, but I figured I would point this one out to the masses.

Writers Union Targets Jay Leno

Normally, I am a bit sympathetic towards the unions and their right to exist, especially when it comes to the Auto Workers here in Detroit, But this is one of those “WTF?!?!” Stories that burns my butt:

Comedian Jay Leno was hauled in front of his own union’s trial committee Wednesday to address charges that he broke guild rules during last season’s writers strike, a full year after the alleged violations.

The NBC late-night host was a prominent backer of the Writers Guild of America during the 100-day work stoppage, but he alarmed union officials when he announced on the air that he was penning his own monologues while the strike was still in full swing.

Leno contends that he did nothing wrong. He has the highest profile among a handful of writers whose cases are being reviewed by the committee, which will make a recommendation to the board on whether any action should be taken. Possible penalties include a reprimand, a fine and even expulsion from the union.

via Jay Leno hauled before Writers Guild trial committee – Los Angeles Times.

Basically, what burns my butt is this. The man is being punished for doing his own job.  This is my rub with the Labor Movement and Unions, it prevents people from doing their own job. To me, that would be like having your own car, and not being able to drive yourself.

On top of this, Jay Leno was one of the few performers out in Hollywood, that supported those bastards and now they’re knifing him in the back. I am quite sure that Leno is really kicking himself for supporting those bastards.

I am for a workers right to organize and all, but this over-unionization of industry, to the point where you cannot even do your own job; is just absolutely ridiculous.

Tweety responds to being busted for saying “Oh God”

Seems Mr. “Leg Tingle” is responding to being called out for his muttering “Oh God” into an open mic. For what it is worth, I, that’s right; me, I was the first blogger to report that it was Chris Matthews. Something that I got zero credit for. Thanks guys. It feels so nice to be ignored. 🙄

Anyhow, according to TVNewser:

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews has responded to his uttering of the words “Oh God” just as Gov. Bobby Jindal emerged to deliver the GOP response last night. TVNewser has obtained some of what Matthews will say on “Hardball” tonight:

I was taken aback by that peculiar stagecraft, the walking from somewhere in the back of this narrow hall, this winding staircase looming there, the odd anti-bellum look of the scene. Was this some mimicking of a president walking along the state floor to the East Room?

Insiders tell us Gov. Jindal was invited to come on Hardball tonight, but he declined.

Yeah, I’m sure, that lying stack of crap. He let his bias show and his silly liberal butt got caught and now he’s trying to talk his way out of it. I’m listening to his idiotic show right now. I’ll report what is said.

He should be fired.

Chris Matthews is the Culprit

Michelle Malkin reports that someone over at MSNBC uttered rather quietly the words, “Oh God”, before Bobby Jindal even began to give his response to the speech given by “The Magic MoonBat”. You know, the one of let’s tax and spend our way out of a recession? The one where he tried to sound like weird cross between Roosevelt and Reagan, but ended up sounding more like Pee Wee Herman on Cocaine? (which, if Larry Sinclair is to be believed, he has a knack of that sort of a thing…. the Cocaine, I mean…)

Here’s the video: (H/T Real Clear Politics)

Link: MSNBCer Says "Oh God" Before Jindal Reponse

I am proud to say that, I cranked up the audio here on the speakers. I recognized the voice. That is none other than Mr. “Leg Tingle” Himself…..  Chris Matthews. Who has a very bad habit of doing that sort of thing, letting his mouth run, before engaging his brain.

Does not surprise me at all, Chris Matthews lead MSNBC into the tank for “The Magic Moonbat”, from the word go.

Just letting you know.

Update: Oy…. Finally straightened out that sentance… Either it’s the damned ADHD or I’m just tired. 🙄

Welcome back.

I predict that Rick Santelli will be found, face down, dead in a parking lot. Single gun shot to the back of the head.

Oh, That’s crazy!

Think so? Tell that to Vince Foster.

I know the cover story. I also know about the various independent investigations too. Democrats know no shame, what they cannot control, they eliminate.

Just sayin’

Speaking of Monkey Business…….

Anybody care to take a stab at interpreting this?:

Media baron Rupert Murdoch issued an urgent internal communication late Monday, warning his staff: “We are in the midst of a phase of history in which nations will be redefined and their futures fundamentally altered.”

The dramatic call comes as markets continue their plunge and the future of media becomes increasingly muddled.

“Many people will be under extreme pressure and many companies mortally wounded,” Murdoch declared.

“Our competitors will be sorely tempted to take the easy beat, to reduce quality in the search for immediate dividends.”

He continued: “Let me be very clear about our company: where others might step back from their commitment to their viewers, their users, readers and customers – we will renew ours.

“The direction of the business now and over the next few years will define the character of our company for decades.”

Sam Donaldson

Yes, I called him an icon, and I am damned proud of it. Sam Donaldson is icon of my youth, someone I remember watching as a kid. This back before my time in the political world. Back before I even knew the difference between a Liberal and a Conservative. A man who can be traced back to the days of Television, when there still an ounce of integrity.

The Washington Post reports:

Whatever else he accomplished in his 41 years at ABC News, Sam Donaldson knows he’ll be remembered mainly for his bellowing voice.

“I guess it’ll be on my tombstone: ‘He yelled at Ronald Reagan,’ ” Donaldson says.

Now, with little fanfare, the 74-year-old newsman is retiring from full-time work next week. “Some people leave the business bitter, feeling they’ve been cast out, or they hang on too long,” he says. “And I don’t ever want to get in that position.”

There was one thing in this story, that I really wanted to comment on:

Donaldson’s detractors viewed him as a liberal blowhard, and there were certainly times when his mouth outran his brain. Donaldson encouraged Colin Powell to run for president in 1996 and kept predicting that he would. Five days after the Monica Lewinsky scandal erupted, Donaldson said of Bill Clinton: “If he’s not telling the truth, he’s done. . . . I think his presidency is numbered in days. This isn’t going to drag out. We’re not going to be here three months from now talking about this.

You might be shocked to know this, but I never noticed Sam Donaldson acting like a “Liberal Blowhard.” If he ever did when I was watching, he was not very obvious about it. Unlike the anchors of today; like Keith Olbermann, who bellows his political opinion out, like it is the Gospel according to St Luke or something to that effect. For the record, I never heard or saw Sam Donaldson getting on National Television and screaming, “Shut the Hell up!” Like Keith did.

I think it goes back to a word that I used in the beginning of this Blog Entry; Integrity. It is something that the America Media needs to get back to, in a very big way.

Watch the Video that two liberal stations refused to air!

Remember the program that the liberal station in Michigan here refused to air, that I blogged about?

Well, it turns out, two stations; one in Michigan here and one in Ohio refused to air the program.

Here is that program in full:

You can order this program to show at your Church and you can order the entire series of “Speechless…Silencing the Christians.”

Christians and Conservatives alike need to take a stand against the radical gay agenda!

Members of the Black Press not Happy with President Obama

I have some very different feelings than you think about this story, I will explain below…:

After the first black president completed his first prime-time press conference, the black press was red hot.

“We were window dressing,” said Hazel Edney, a reporter with the National Newspaper Publishers Association, also known as the Black Press of America. “We were nothing more than window dressing.”

As the media filed into the stately White House East Room on Monday night, the reporter was shocked to find herself in the front row. Alongside her were the top news agencies, Associated Press, Reuters; also up front, 86-year-old Helen Thomas, who started covering presidents 50 years ago.

Alongside the most prominent journalists in America was Tiffany Cross from Black Entertainment Television. Like Miss Edney, she didn’t know why she was in first-class while all the television networks – every single one – was exiled to the steerage compartment.

“I really don’t know why I’m up here,” Miss Cross said with a shy smile.

While most on the front row got to pose a question to President Obama, the two reporters from the black press did not. Nor did any other black-press reporter, for that matter.

“This was like Reagan, when he’d put all the blacks up front,” said another prominent but visibly peeved black-press reporter who asked to remain anonymous. “He oughta’ be ashamed.”

via Washington Times – CURL: Obama snubs black press.

As I said above, I have mixed feelings about this report; I tend to believe that this report is one those “Let’s stir the pot and see what happens,” kind of reports. President Obama, to his credit, did not run a “Black Power” Presidential campaign, if he had done so, the American people would have been turn off and President Obama would not have made it out of the Primary.

As much as I respect the reporting of the Washington Times and their Conservative stance, I believe that this story is nothing more of the rattling of the race baiting sabers that the Far Right Wing bunch are known for. Yes, that is correct, I am a moderate Conservative and I am admitting that there is a certain bit of reverse race baiting that goes on in those circles. It is a sad fact, but it is the truth.
