Video: Ron Paul now using the Military as a campaign prop.

I received a rather angry e-mail from a friend of mine, who served in the Military, who reads my blog daily. He showed this video.

It appears that Ron Paul is now using the Military as a campaign prop to get elected; you know, sort of like George W. Bush? Anyhow, here is the video:

The truth is Ron Paul is a avowed isolationist and would dismantle our Military, just like Jimmy Carter did.

There’s a ton more of stuff about Ron Paul on this Blog. Click this link here and here — and learn the truth about this dishonest piece of crap.

Memo to Ron Paul’s campaign and to the man himself — the Military is much smarter than that dude. Seriously. šŸ™„

Another bone of contention is this; this sends a ever so subtle message, that the Vietnam War was some sort of evil war and that it cost the lives of many people needlessly. Hmmm, now where have I heard this one before? Oh Yes! The left! I would be willing to bet a great deal of money, that there are many vets out there, that would take issue with this video; and the bullcrap lies that it coveys, especially those about Ron Paul.

Why I will not be watching the Republican debate

This pretty much sums it up…:

The fall marathon of four Republican presidential debates in little more than a month may already be wearing out casual observers of the political process, or those who expected their favored candidate to knockout the competition in one appearance.

Let’s remember these debates are about theater, not issues — and tonight’s play is Julius Caesar, with Texas Governor Rick Perry in the title role, and the other eight candidates on the stage surrounding him with their knives at the ready.

We know in Shakespeare’s version of the play Caesar was eventually slain, but front-running Rick Perry may decide to change the script and the outcome of tonight’s presentation of political theater.

via The Orlando Republican Presidential Debate Will Be About Theater, Not Issues | ConservativeHQ.com.

I know that the author of this, Richard A. Viguerie, is not real popular amongst the right. But, when he is right, he is right. These debates are nothing more than a Republican fashion show. When the Republicans actually start debating Democrats; and can do that, articulating why President Barack Obama’s polices have failed, without sounding crazy, is when I will get interested.

From the Hate Mail Bag….

Here’s some more words of wisdom (or something like that…) from the unhinged left:

Patrick, after reading your response to Shebshi’s blog and seeing that you have the U.S. flag and the eagle as your avatar, I decided to get myself my own U.S. flag so I could set fire to it. The only way I could ever be patriotic and love America will come when the day comes that people like you are an outnumbered minority. People like you ensured that I didn’t watch any 9/11 tenth anniversary specials on TV that day. Screw you and your brand of patriotism.

Just gotta love that new tone. I believe this person is referring to this here.

You see now why I’ll never vote for the Democratic Party, ever again!?!?

You think this is bad?? Look what they’re going to Michelle Malkin. All because she dared to speak out about this. It is the far left’s M.O. anymore… what you cannot out-debate, you degenerate and destroy.

Welcome to my World: 6 Million people age 25-34 live with parents, up 25%

I’m 39 and I still live at home and yes, it sucks. You know, I’ve been called a leech, a shit stain and alot of other names. But honestly? Is it my fault? No, it’s the economy around here and leaders in Washington D.C. that have screwed the Country into the ground.

I saw this via Drudge:

WASHINGTON — Call it the recession’s lost generation.

In record-setting numbers, young adults struggling to find work are shunning long-distance moves to live with Mom and Dad, delaying marriage and buying fewer homes, often raising kids out of wedlock. They suffer from the highest unemployment since World War II and risk living in poverty more than others — nearly 1 in 5.

New 2010 census data released Thursday show the wrenching impact of a recession that officially ended in mid-2009. It highlights the missed opportunities and dim prospects for a generation of mostly 20-somethings and 30-somethings coming of age in a prolonged slump with high unemployment.

“We have a monster jobs problem, and young people are the biggest losers,” said Andrew Sum, an economist and director of the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University. He noted that for recent college grads now getting by with waitressing, bartending and odd jobs, they will have to compete with new graduates for entry-level career positions when the job market eventually does improve.

“Their really high levels of underemployment and unemployment will haunt young people for at least another decade,” Sum said.

Honestly though, my folks do not mind me living here; they like the help and I am an only child; so, there is not another brother or anything, who can help. So, I live here, until this economy recovers. Another thing too, in 2004, I filed for bankruptcy and I did start over. I made the stupid mistake of getting into a lot of debt, when I was younger with a credit card. Needless to say, I learned my lesson there. I have a debit card now, and if I zap that back account, I am screwed. So, I have the motivation to not screw that up!

On a related note, on the economy; the man who came to fix our A/C here, told me that he is lucky if he gets like 25 hours a week with the company he is with. Now keep in mind, this is not a trainee or anything that, this dude was certified in A/C and Heating. He has the license and everything; and he is not even getting 40 hours a week of work. That, my friends, is how screwed up our economy truly is. šŸ™

Those who have a job are lucky to get enough money to put food on the table, and those of us, who cannot find a job are basically left out in the cold. This is why I have such a big problem with all this union protectionism crap that the left is touting. I respect the Unions at all and what they fought for, many years ago. But, we are living in a different would and the prosperity of that era; which the unions took advantage of, is gone for good.

So, that is why, when I see stuff like this here; my heart breaks, because it is not the wealthy people who are going to suffer. It is going to be the working class people and the poor; who are going to suffer the most. The thing to remember is this; it all trickles down, sooner or later. The wealthy lose, the jobs dry up and people suffer. The bad part is, Government cannot fix it. it has to fix itself. The sad part is, it usually takes a LONG time for it to fix itself.

This, is the folly of Progressivism; the belief that Government can fix something that it did not break, in the first place.

Good grief HotAir.com!

So finally HotAir.com gets around to reporting a story, that I reported about 3 days ago. (and they’re a big blog?!?!)

…and in the subtitle under the picture for the story, we see this:

ā€œFor the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.ā€

The quote above, is a liberal screwball translation of Hebrews 4:12.

This is the same scripture from the version of the Bible that was used in the United States for over three hundred years — The King James Version of the Holy Scriptures:

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)

But yet, HotAir.com claims to be a “Conservative” Blog. I find that very troubling.

…and no, I am not kidding at all.

This is what Ronald Reagan said about the King James Version of the Bible: (Via AV1611.org)

The following transcript is one of Ronald Reagan’s famous radio addresses. In this address (which aired September 6, 1977), Ronald Reagan, the great orator, eloquently gives his thoughts on the “Good News Bible” (also called the Good News for Modern Man and Today’s English Version) in comparison to the Authorized Version or the King James Bible.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā What would you say if someone decided Shakespeare’s plays, Charles Dicken’s novels, or the music of Beethoven could be rewritten & improved?Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā I’ll be right back. . .Writing in the journal “The Alternative”, Richard Hanser, author of The Law & the Prophets and Jesus: What Manner of Man Is This?, has called attention to something that is more than a little mind boggling. It is my understanding that the Bible (both the Old & New Testaments) has been the best selling book in the entire history of printing. Now another attempt has been made to improve it. I say another because there have been several fairly recent efforts to quote “make the Bible more readable & understandable” unquote. But as Mr. Hanser so eloquently says, “For more than 3 1/2 centuries, its language and its images, have penetrated more deeply into the general culture of the English speaking world, and been more dearly treasured, than anything else ever put on paper.” He then quotes the irreverent H. L. Mencken, who spoke of it as purely a literary work and said it was, “probably the most beautiful piece of writing in any language.”

They were, of course, speaking of The Authorized Version, the one that came into being when the England of King James was scoured for translators & scholars. It was a time when the English language had reached it’s peak of richness & beauty.

Now we are to have The Good News Bible which will be in, “the natural English of everyday adult conversation.” I’m sure the scholars and clergymen supervised by the American Bible Society were sincerely imbued with the thought that they were taking religion to the people with their Good News Bible, but I can’t help feeling we should instead be taking the people to religion and lifting them with the beauty of language that has outlived the centuries.

Mr. Hanser has quoted from both the St. James Version & the Good News Bible some well known passages for us to compare. A few thousand years ago Job said “How forcible are right words!” [Job 6:25] The new translators have him saying “Honest words are convincing.” That’s only for openers. There is the passage [Eccl. 1:18], “For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow”. Is it really an improvement to say instead, “The wiser you are, the more worries you have; the more you know the more it hurts.”

In the New Testament, in Mathew, we read “The voice of the one crying in the wilderness. Prepare ye the way.” [Matthew 3:3] The Good News version translates that, “Someone is shouting in the desert. Get the road ready.” It sounds like a straw boss announcing lunch hour is over.

The hauntingly beautiful 23rd Psalm is the same in both versions, for a few words, “The Lord is my shepherd” but instead of continuing “I shall not want” we are supposed to say “I have everything I need.”

The Christmas story has undergone some modernizing but one can hardly call it improved. The wondrous words “Fear not: for; behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy” has become, “Don’t be afraid! I am here with good news for you.”

The sponsors of the Good News version boast that their Bible is as readable as the daily paper – and so it is. But do readers of the daily news find themselves moved to wonder, “at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth”? Mr. Hanser suggests that sadly the “tinkering & general horsing around with the sacred texts will no doubt continue” as pious drudges try to get it right. “It will not dawn on them that it has already been gotten right.”

This is Ronald Reagan. Thanks for listening.

The Classless Left: Exhibit ST for Stacy Trasancos

…..and no, I am not calling Stacy Trasancos a classless lefty — but rather those attacking her.

This is Stacy Trasancos. This is her Blog.

Stacy is a former Baptist, turned Catholic. But, I won’t hold it against her. šŸ˜‰

Stacy wrote a blog posting basically venting her frustration with gays. Because of this, the ugly left and ugly gays unleashed on her. See here and Here. Also, read the comments on that blog posting, some of them are threatening in nature. 😔 So, much for that New Tone we keep hearing about eh? šŸ™„

As I’ve wrote on here before; I don’t consider myself the greatest field service rep for Christianity. But I stand behind those who dare to say; “ya know? This is just flipping wrong…”

Hang in there Stacy. We’re with ya Lady! … God Bless You.

Stacy Trasancos with her seriously cute children!

Proving what I have believed about the left for a very long time; well, since blogging from 2006 on. That the left in this Country does not believe in freedom of speech or thought. That is because they are straight up fascists. Which is why I left, the left, like some other people I know.

Keep this in mind in 2012, will you please?

Under the weather, a little…

First of all, the A/C in the house here is on the fritz… The repairman will be out tomorrow. But it is HOT in this brick house! 😯

Second of all, I had a huge chicken salad for lunch yesterday and then stuffed peppers for supper.

The result of all the above, I believe; is me having a bad case of the “trots” and a general puny feeling. šŸ™ 😄

So, as a result; I am not going to be writing novels today. I’ll mostly be reading more and most likely posting links.

For all you praying people, pray this passes, quickly.

Thanks,

-Pat

Some sound investment advice

Evaporation of Wealth on a Vast Scale
How $1-million can disappear
September 19, 2011

By Elliott Wave International

The bursting of the “debt bubble” which started in 2008 is far from over.

It’s the financial story of our age and it’s happening before our eyes. The full scope is hard to keep up with because it’s unfolding at various levels.

The top level is the sovereign debt crisis:

  • National governments: Several in Europe and even the U.S.

  • State and local governments: services slashed; vendors waiting to get paid.

  • Corporations: financial institutions at home and abroad remain in questionable health. PIMCO Chief tells Bloomberg (9/13) “We’re getting close to a full-blown banking crisis in Europe.” And CNBC reports (9/14) “Moody’s Investors Service said…it downgraded the credit ratings of Societe Generale and Credit Agricole.”

  • Individual Households: “under-water” mortgages; “new conservatism” toward spending.

As the credit bubble continues to deflate, the evaporation of vast wealth may follow on a historic scale. Please read this excerpt from the second edition of Conquer the Crash (pp. 94-95):

“…a lender starts with a million dollars and the borrower starts with zero. Upon extending the loan, the borrower possesses the million dollars, yet the lender feels that he still owns the million dollars that he lent out. If anyone asks the lender what he is worth, he says, ‘a million dollars,’ and shows the note to prove it. Because of this conviction, there is, in the minds of the debtor and the creditor combined, two million dollars worth of value where before there was only one. When the lender calls in the debt and the borrower pays it, he gets back his million dollars. If the borrower can’t pay it, the value of the note goes to zero. Either way, the extra value disappears…

“The dynamics of value expansion and contraction explain why a bear market can bankrupt millions of people. At the peak of a credit expansion or a bull market, assets have been valued upward, and all participants are wealthy — both the people who sold the assets and the people who hold the assets. The latter group is far larger than the former, because the total supply of money has been relatively stable while the total value of financial assets has ballooned. When the market turns down, the dynamic goes into reverse. Only a very few owners of a collapsing financial asset trade it for money at 90 percent of peak value. Some others may get out at 80 percent, 50 percent or 30 percent of peak value. In each case, sellers are simply transforming the remaining future value losses to someone else. In a bear market, the vast, vast majority does nothing and gets stuck holding assets with low or non-existent valuations. The ‘million dollars’ that a wealthy investor might have thought he had in his bond portfolio or at a stock’s peak value can quite rapidly become $50,000 or $5000 or $50. The rest of it just disappears. You see, he never really had a million dollars; all he had was IOUs or stock certificates. The idea that it had a certain financial value was in his head and the heads of others who agreed. When the point of agreement changed, so did the value. Poof! Gone in a flash of aggregated neurons. This is exactly what happens to most investment assets in a period of deflation.”

Now is the time to prepare for a deflationary depression by reading the 90-page Free Report titled Deflation Survival Guide. This eBook is now updated with Robert Prechter’s most important analysis and forecasts regarding deflation.

The End of an Era: Bob Hope’s widow, Dolores, dies at 102

One the last remaining greats from a by-gone era has died….

Bob and Doloris Hope - Together in Heaven

Family spokesman Harlan Boll said Hope died Monday of natural causes at home in Los Angeles.

He did not elaborate.

ā€œBoth the entertainment world and the church have lost a woman of profound faith, gifted musical talent and dedication,ā€ said Los Angeles Archbishop JosĆ© H. Gomez.

ā€œThe death of Dolores Hope leaves a huge void in Southern California.ā€

via Bob Hope’s widow, Dolores, dies at 102 – NYPOST.com.

I am a self-confessed history buff and an admirer of the 1940’s. Bob Hope and his lovely wife were of that era; when Hollywood actually had some semblance of morals, class and integrity. Unlike today, where it has become a cesspool of filth, loose morals and hedonism. I mean, seriously….. Snooki? 50 years ago, she would not have gotten a second look in Hollywood and now, she is”The Thing” in Hollywood. 50 years ago, Snooki would be told to take her Latino whore looking self home and learn to dress and act like a respectable young Lady; and then come back and look for a job.

May she rest in peace and enjoy her Heavenly reward; because at 102 years old, she has more than earned it.
