Video: Glenn Beck speaks some very good sense, for a change….

This comes via The Blaze: (Via HotAir.com)

Let me go on the record, that I wholeheartedly agree. Now, I do believe that Birthers have a right to believe what they do and I’ve said as much on here. However, if the G.O.P. runs on the platform of “Is Obama a real American?”, two things will happen; One, I will vote libertarian, like I did in 2008 and two, the G.O.P. will get it’s rear kicked again in the 2012 election cycle and Obama will be President, again.

So, Glenn’s right, the birther issue is a suicide pact for the Republican Party.

AllahPundit is also correct, when he says that “The Donald” is playing that “Birther” group like a fiddle for purposes of political expediency. If it becomes clear that Trump is going to run; he will drop that subject like a bad habit. You watch.

More Fox News Stupidity

You know, I am the most open-minded person on the planet. But this is just straight up crap:

George Washington University students in Washington, D.C. learned of a tragic coincidence of timing on their campus Wednesday. As President Obama delivered a speech on deficit reduction in the Jack Morton Auditorium, university officials were learning one of their students had committed suicide in his dorm room across campus.

Fox News has learned that the male student may have been a junior at the school and was described as solitary. He rarely left his dorm room, according to a source.

“I am deeply saddened to report that the university has been notified of the death of one of our students,” GW President Steven Knapp said in a message to his students, faculty and staff. “The student was found in his room this afternoon at the City Hall residence hall,” he said.

GWU officials tell Fox that police were notified about the incident around 2pm, which happens to be at the same time that President Obama was speaking. A source tells Fox that the incident may have occurred earlier, noting that police went knocking on the student’s door at 1:30pm. As of this writing, Fox has not been able to obtain reaction from the White House.

“The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the student’s death in coordination with the GW Police Department,” Knapp wrote. “At this time, we have no indication that the death was the result of a criminal act. We will release more information when it becomes available.”

DC police officials tell Fox that the death has, in fact, been ruled a suicide.

Knapp took note of the solemn moment, adding, “On behalf of the entire university community, I would like to express our sorrow and extend my condolences to the student’s family and friends.”

Since when did Fox News Channel start taking cues from Joseph Farah and WorldNetDaily?

Next time I hear some idiot right-winger bitching about NPR; first, I am going to slap the damned taste out of their mouths, and then, I am showing them this.

How lame can you get? Seriously. 🙄

Sometimes, I think Keith Olbermann, just might have a point.

Fox is, of course, getting blasted by the left for this and rightly so. if I done something that damned stupid; I would close down this blog and leave the damned Country. (Sounds like a very good idea for Rupert, if you ask me)

Duke University lacrosse accuser now possibly facing murder charges

This is just plain crazy:

Crystal Mangum – The crazy black woman from HELL!

Mangum already was in jail under a $300,000 secured bond charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

“More than likely, we will be upgrading the charge to murder,” Lopez said.

In 2006, Mangum, 32, falsely accused three Duke University lacrosse players of raping her.

On April 3, officers were called to 3507 Century Oaks Drive. When they arrived, they found a 46-year-old man had been stabbed in the torso with a kitchen knife, according to police. He was taken to Duke University Hospital and treated for serious injuries.

The victim, who has not been identified, was said to have been Mangum’s boyfriend.

via The Herald-Sun – Man Mangum accused of stabbing dies.

I think even black people would say that this woman is crazy! I mean, not only did she do this, and the Duke Lacross thing, she did this too:

In December, Mangum was in Durham County Superior Court for an arson trial. Jurors found her guilty of three counts of contributing to the abuse and neglect of minors, causing more than $200 in property damage to the car of the man who was Mangum’s boyfriend and resisting a police officer. Those were misdemeanor charges. But jurors did not reach consensus on the major issue, the arson charge — a felony — so Superior Court Judge Abraham Jones declared a mistrial. Mangum was sentenced to time already served, 88 days. The Durham County District Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue the case further.

Mangum threatened to stab the boyfriend in the arson case, police said.

I do believe that this woman would qualify for crazy. I mean, literally crazy.

Well, except in maybe San Francisco; when people like this are considered normal. (Did I say that?!?! 😯 )

Of course, one could argue that a climate of racial entitlement might of created this woman. But when one does that, he is labeled as a racist, by those who’s job it is to continually stir that pot.

Nancy Pelosi is getting testy in her old age

Man, you know the people on the hill are getting too old, when this happens:

In a tense moment that may well have encapsulated the frustrations of three-plus months in the minority, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi snapped at a top presidential economic adviser, Gene Sperling, during a closed-door meeting between White House aides and House Democratic leaders Wednesday.“Maybe you could consult with us just once,” Pelosi said, according to one source’s account. Others confirmed the basic content of the stand-out barb from the former speaker in the midst of an active but largely cordial meeting.

via Nancy Pelosi snaps at White House adviser Gene Sperling – John Bresnahan and Jonathan Allen – POLITICO.com.

Meow… Someone is in need of a nap! 😉 There is a more serious political angle here; Democrats are simply angered over losing their majority in congress. They are also not happy with the White House either. So, expect more of this.

Here we go: Latino Liberal Congresswoman and Italian Liberal radio host mock American Tea Party candidates

This is not only sick; it is racist and wrong.

Via BreitBart.tv:

I made a point to highlight the fact that Miller is Italian and this congresswoman is a latino; and the fact that people they are mocking are, for the most part, southern and white. Now imagine with me, if the shoe was on the other foot. Could you just imagine the outrage, if a White Conservative talk radio host mocked a black liberal like that? Imagine it.

I just wonder what her Dad would think of that? She is a disgrace to her Father’s memory. 😡

Update: You know, I was just going to settle with a short posting. But, no, I am just going to tell it like it is. I used to enjoy listening to Stephanie Miller and her show, back when I was still on the left of center side of the fence in politics. She was a moderate liberal, who had some seriously funny stuff on her show. I do not know what the hell happened to her; but I find this to be personally sickening, that she, being a minority herself; would even remotely allow this sort of straight up racism on her show. Sorry Mrs. Miller, but you disappoint me greatly. I really did used to be a fan. I thought you were bit more classy than say, Randi Rhoads. However, you have proven to me, that you are nothing more than just another bile spewing idiot liberal, who thinks mocking people of different colors and ethnic backgrounds than you is perfectly fine and that because you are some sort “enlightened being” that doing this is just perfectly fine. The truth is, your nothing but a racist bigot like your Democratic Forefathers, like the ones who killed Abraham Lincoln.  Sorry Stephanie, but you just blew it with me. I look forward to hearing of the day, when your syndicate finally gets tired of your bile and racism and finally pulls the plug on that nothing show of yours.

Leftist Race-Baiting at it’s best

Normally anymore, I do not comment about what is written on other blogs. Mainly because I do not like to get involved in blog wars; because sometimes the outcome is worse than the offense itself. Believe me, I know all about what happens when stuff gets out of hand during blog wars. 🙄

Anyhow, I thought this was a bit….much: (Via someone whom I will never link to directly every again)

I think the thing that pisses me off the most about the birtherism and the coverage is that no one will come out and state that what is obviously motivating this crap is racism. Period. End of story.

If Obama was white, we wouldn’t be politely rebutting lunatics questioning his birth certificate for four fucking years. But because he is black, we can spend tens of thousands of hours listening to drooling idiots wonder whether or not he is a real Murrikan.

It’s really that simple.

Really John? bad thing is; this miserable excuse for an American, used to be a Republican. Glad he left, and wish he would take fucking Megan McCain with him.

Race-Baiting is such a tragic thing; but that is what liberals do, when they are losing the argument.

What is even more eye-popping, is this comment over there:

They would say “Get that Nigger out of the White House” if they could get away with it.

Now if that were said or even remotely alluded to, over at a Conservative blog, like Michelle Malkin’s or over at HotAir; the liberal Blogosphere would be all over it. But, because John Cole is one of the enlightened liberals now, it is perfectly fine.

I guess Dan was right about this guy:

Balloon Juice? Give me a break. Don’t look now, John, but I think the balloon exploded and the juice is running from your lips. Here’s hoping you enjoyed, it c***s*****.

All I did was half-jokingly call you a name you earned. Congratualtions, obviously, it was well deserved.

Indeed. Calling people, like myself; who simply want to see the long form Birth Certificate racists is about the damned stupidest thing I have ever heard.  Not to mention using the N-Word like that; but what more is one to expect of the party of Stephen A. Douglas? How ironic is it, that the very party that championed slavery and segregation, is now the same party that wishes to make us into a third world Country. All the while, race-baiting and spewing racist bile in the process. It is like watching a train wreck. You feel guilty for watching, but you really do not want to miss it.

Democrats on the Hill have zero love for President Obama

First there is this from The Hill:

President Obama needs to start acting like a Democrat by not caving for a second time and allowing the George W. Bush-era tax rates on the wealthy to expire, according to a founding member of the House Progressive Caucus.

Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) said on MSNBC Monday night that he and other liberal Democrats are hoping to apply enough pressure on Obama to make him “act like a Democrat.”

He also said the last Democratic-controlled Congress made a mistake in not pushing Obama more.

“Well, in my opinion that’s what the House did wrong in the last Congress, and in part why we lost is we never pushed back no matter how wrong he was or how off-base he was; we never pushed back,” DeFazio said.

Obama caved in December by breaking a campaign promise to let the Bush-era tax rates on the wealthy expire, DeFazio said.

“Remember, the president did run on that, and he did cave on it in December,” DeFazio said.

As a result, if Obama calls for an end to the Bush tax rates on the wealthy in a Wednesday speech on the deficit, DeFazio said it would be a small step.

To really bring down the deficit, “it’s got to be more — honestly — than just the top-bracket tax cuts,” DeFazio said.

The 13-term Democrat said all of the Bush tax rates should be allowed to expire, including those on the middle class. He said this would mean a significant tax hike for wealthier people and a more moderate tax increase for the middle class that would return the nation to Clinton-era tax rates, when he said the government balanced the budget.

Obama supports ending Bush tax rates on families with income above $250,000, but would extend the lower tax rates on people under that threshold. The White House has said Obama will lay out new plans for tackling the deficit in a Wednesday speech.

Funny how Democrats acts like spoiled rotten children, when they are not holding the ball anymore.

Then there is this via New York Daily News:

New York’s congressional delegation trashed President Obama’s budget compromise Monday, calling it “irresponsible,” “dangerous” and “immoral.”

“What [Obama has] done politically does not fit what I think should be done morally,” said Rep. Charles Rangel (D-Harlem), who signaled plans to vote against the budget this week. “My community got a lousy deal in view of the resources that this great nation has.”

Obama reached an 11th-hour compromise late Friday that narrowly averted a government shutdown by slashing $38.5 billion in federal spending over the next six months.

It’s not clear how much of that cut will affect New York – but local pols say the city will suffer more than most.

“The budget…will hurt New York City terribly,” said Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-Manhattan). “Many of the things hurt like mass transit and public housing funds are particularly New York oriented.”

The MTA is likely to get slammed, which could mean even more fare hikes or service cuts, Nadler warned.

Money also getting slashed: Economic development, help feeding the poor, elderly in nursing homes, child care and Pell grants for college students.

The cuts “would be an outright disaster for our communities,” Nadler said.

The whacks come as the city struggles to absorb the impact of state budget cuts – and as congressional Dems brace for even deeper cuts as talks start this week on the 2012 federal budget.

Hey Charlie, I got one thing to say bud…..:

Cue the Music!

Cry me a freakin’ river dude. 🙄

It is so funny how when Democrats hold the majority; they are civilized people. But the minute they lose the majority, due to overreach; they turn into spoiled rotten children. The hard truth is this; the President’s policies have failed this asinine idea of “tax and spend” utterly failed and the economy is still stalled and now President Obama has lost the “great majority” that he once had and now he has to play by the Republicans rules and also has to do something “Grown Up” to salvage our economy and get the United States out of debt. Now that this is happening, cookie jar robbers like Rangel are acting like the President is a crook or something. It is all quite humorous to watch.

On the budget deal and the liberal left’s reaction

So about this so-called budget deal, which many a blogger on the right has reminded us, is not a real deal at all. Conservatives are not too keen on it; but the liberals —- my God! — they are in sackcloth and ashes!

Consider some of the reactions…..

Melissa McEwan over at shakesville is not a happy camper:

We’ve sure come a long way (no we haven’t) from Barack the Feminist (LULZ). I guess he’s just one of those “pragmatic feminists” who understands that sometimes women’s reproductive rights need to get thrown under the bus in order to make way for Important Democratic Politics, like empowering the most rightwing elements in the Republican Party.

To understand how thoroughly the Dems caved to the GOP on this deal, it was struck with “historic” cuts about which that nincompoop Reid is actually bragging, as if misogyny, Social Darwinism, and allowing infrastructure to fester until people die on collapsing bridges are radically brave progressive ideas.

Obama’s a fucking disaster. We needed FDR; instead we got FML.

Richard (RJ) Eskow at HuffPo says a whole bunch, a snippet:

Say what you will about Rep. Ryan’s budget proposal, it’s a vision. By proposing to dismantle Medicare for people retiring in 2021 and afterwards, he’s laid out a radical alternative to today’s policies. By slashing taxes for the wealthy and proposing deregulation for all industries, the Ryan plan envisions a future America: one where the environment is despoiled, the poor go unfed, and the middle class faces a lifetime of financial insecurity following by an old age of sickness and penury.

It may not be a good vision, but it’s a vision.

Where’s the progressive vision for 2021? Where’s the dream people can seize upon and make their own? Where’s the ideal that can energize activists? Where’s the extreme position from which the Democrats can be “bargained down” so that they, too, can only get 20% more than they asked for when the negotiations began? If they’re not going to do it, we have to do it for them.

Here’s a start: First increase Social Security retirement benefits by 15%, across the board, by lifting the payroll tax cap and imposing a financial transactions tax. Second, increase income taxes on a sliding scale that goes up to 60% for the highest earners in the country. (It’s been as high as 90% during periods of our greatest prosperity.) Third, add $500 billion to our stimulus spending over the next two years, and keep adding it until unemployment is down to 4%. Fourth, immediately add a public option, “Medicare For All” plan that’s voluntarily available to Americans of all age brackets.

Have fun. Add your own visions. Dream. Then demand your dream. It’s working for the Tea Party, and it can work for you.

One thing’s for sure: The old definition of insanity, “doing the same thing and expecting different results,” still holds. Whatever the progressive movement’s doing right now, it’s not working as well as it should. It’s frustrating, but it’s no reason to give up. Like a guy with a guitar said a century ago: Don’t mourn, organize.

Benintn over at DailyKos, is surprisingly reasonable:

There’s understandable frustration about President Obama’s deal with the devil Speaker Boehner and House Republicans to pass the 2011 budget and fund government for the rest of this fiscal year.  After all, with a Democrat in the White House and a Democratic majority in the Senate, why couldn’t Democrats protect the budget from these job-killing, growth-slowing, economy-damaging budget cuts?

But as President Obama said to the Republicans in 2009: “I won.”  And now, in 2011, the tables are turned.  Republicans eager to show off their newly discovered fiscal sobriety are trying to roll back not only the stimulative impact of the Recovery Act, but also the legislative and political progress of the last two years.

In 2008, we won.  In 2010, we lost.  (Badly.)  This is what happens when you lose elections.

[…]

But if Progressives are really interested in redrawing the map in 2012, the way to do it is outside of electoral politics.  Let’s face it: redistricting in 2012 will reduce the number of safe progressive districts in states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Arizona.  And with 23 seats to defend in the US Senate, we’ll have to play defense more than offense in 2012.  And if elected officials are forced by Citizens United to run to the middle, then the real solution is something that will happen outside of the push-pull of Republican v. Democrat.  The real issue comes down to a massive voter education campaign that will take place in coffee shops, libraries, churches, schools, and neighborhoods all over the country.

So, you can blame Obama, blame me, shake your fist, write a blog, or…

What if we started doing what we do best on Daily Kos?  What if we got back to the kind of high-quality opposition research, candidate profiles, policy papers, and community-building diaries that make this community the most interesting online political forum out there?  What if we let go of the need to change Obama and got refocused on effective netroots organizing strategies?  What if we acknowledged the harsh reality that we got our asses handed to us in 2010, and took that lesson as an opportunity to stop doing things that don’t work?

Or we could just have more pie fights.

It’s up to you.

Cenk Uygur at DailyKos:

These budget negotiations were a giant win for the Republican Party. President Obama initially cut $40 billion from his own budget proposal — and he got absolutely no credit for that. It was a very typical preemptive concession by the president. It was so typical, you wonder if he recognizes what an indisputably terrible strategy it is or if he has a different agenda.

So, after getting no credit for his original $40 billion concession, then the negotiations began at square one. The Republicans claimed in February that they wanted $32 billion in cuts from that point on. About a week ago, the president came out an announced that they had given the Republicans another $33 billion in cuts — a billion more than they originally asked for. And still the Republicans wanted more.

Why not? They’re dealing with the world’s worst negotiator, why not ask for more? After February they came up with a brilliant good cop-bad cop strategy with the Tea Party, where they had the Tea Party force them to go to $61 billion in demands. Which pushed the spectrum out further to the right. They know President Obama will go to the middle of any spectrum, no matter how radical. And then once they had baited Obama out to the $33 billion number, which was past their original goal, they baited him out even further. Finally, they got him to $38.5 billion in cuts an hour before the deadline.

[…]

I didn’t write this to rub it in the face of the feckless Democrats who always wind up playing the role of the Washington Generals to the Republican Globetrotters (remember the Democrats have the White House and the Senate — but they let the GOP run the place like they are totally in charge). I wrote it to tell you how incredibly important it is that you put real pressure on the president from the left. He will move to the middle of any spectrum!

If you don’t help push the spectrum to the left, the Republicans will move it massively to the right — and the president will fall for it.

The whole point of the insane, draconian, ridiculous Paul Ryan budget proposal for next year was to move the spectrum all the way to the radical right, so that they can lure Democrats to a false middle, that is in reality the far right.

It’s time to stop playing nice with Democrats. Good cop-good cop doesn’t work. We need a bad cop. We need a strong progressive wing to keep shouting “no deal!” every time the White House wants to concede (which will be every time).

You can ignore this, blame me and go hug the president one more time, but you won’t be doing your side any favors. If you actually care about policy and progressive priorities, you must get tough with the president right now. There is no next time.

Which did not go over too well with joelgp over at DailyKos at all:

Cenk, I’m just about sick of you bashing the president with your unrealistic, bombastic crap.  You my friend, have become Sean Hannity by day and Bill O’reilly by night.  You don’t want or need a president, you need a servant who will do exactly what’s in your head.

After all, Obama is the president of 300 million, not just you.

I rejected your stuff way before today after I watched the most despicable segment you ever produce on Obama in some time.  You know what, the Republicans loved you for it.

[..]

Do you simply ignore the fact that conservatives and independents make up nearly 60% of the electorate and Obama should completely reject them?

Of course I’m not happy with everything Obama does but I feel the same way about my wife and kids.

I support him because there has never been another man in U.S. history who inherited a great depression, two wars, a jacked-up banking system, earthquakes in Haiti and Japan, a totally transforming Middle East and a bunch of freakin’ tea party nuts who believe he’s from Mars.

What Obama need’s most is our help–our voices, our support.  The last thing he needs is another cable-news loud-mouth whose eating ice cream and candy on his fat Comcast salary while the president is battling for middle America.

Cenk, today you need to decide, either join us in helping the president or apply for the chalkboard vacancy on Fox at five.

I thought you should know.

Finally, there is this here, by DailyKos Diarist teacherken:

Here I am doing my civic duty, working on my taxes.  I am paying my fair share.

My wife and I gave you money when you ran for President.  We supported you.

But now?   Blow, after blow, after blow.

The ‘deal’ about which you bragged is perhaps the final straw for this camel, whose back is breaking at the same time as his heart is shattered.

Dear readers, I apologize for what I am now writing.  It will not be coherent, because I am responding to the policy and actions of an administration that are not coherent.

It is an expression of …  what?  Disappointment to be sure, anger, almost despair.

Mr. President, with what you have just done, on top of all else your administration has done – and failed to do – you have destroyed the hopes of millions, and shifted power and wealth in the direction of those who are fueled by hatred and anger.

And you expect us to continue to support you?

Perhaps you had better ignore this.  Because you will not be happy with what I have to offer.

[…]

This is a screed, I admit.  I am sitting here just letting it hang out.

I claim no wisdom.  I claim no original insight.  None of my arguments are original.

That is something that should concern you.  I am borrowing from what I hear and 4ead from others.  That includes members of your own party who hold federal elective office.  It includes party officials in states and local organizations.  It includes key voices in the progressive wing of the Democratic party.  You know, those nasty types who remember that it was unions and progressives who have helped create the social safety net that built the American middle class, the social safety net the that Republicans are now dismantling a piece at a time, as they simultaneously impose a vision of this nation that should horrify you.

So go ahead Mr. President.  Ignore me.  Ignore all the voices that have been trying to explain to you, trying to help you help this country.

You might as well.

It seems as if you have been ignoring us all along.

But just one question, Mr. President.   One that perhaps you need to consider.

What happens if we decide we have had enough?  What if we return the favor?

What if we decide we will ignore you?

Sorry, that was a good deal of quoting; but I wanted to give you a feel for what is happening within liberal progressive Democrat circles. The truth is folks, that progressives put way too much stock in Barack Obama. They projected themselves on him; their dreams, their hopes and yes, even their wishes for progressive policy change in Washington D.C. and ultimately, President Barack Obama gave them some good old-fashioned lip service and laughed all the way to the White House. Now, this is not anything new to politics; President Ronald Reagan did the same very thing to the Religious Christian Conservative right back in the 1981 election. He had them believing that he was going to outlaw Abortion and put prayer back in schools; none of which he did at all. Instead he ran up deficits, shipped arms to Iran, and basically played much of the Republican Party and the far right for a fool.

So, while all of this sadness and naval grazing might be humorous to watch; it is a little silly. Did the liberals actually expect Obama to cater to their every whim?

Now, as for the Republicans, I think all of this belly aching is a bit silly; we all wanted cuts. We should be glad we got anything at all. Sure, we all want more. But anything is better than nothing.

Holy Crap! MSNBC’s Chris Matthews says that President Barack Obama has a ‘Winning’ ‘Little Boy Smile’

Oh.my.freakin’.goodness!

File this one under “If a Republican had said this.”

This comes via Mediaite: (H/T HotAir)

Seriously, is Chris Matthews that damned shallow that he does not know, that using the word “Boy” in the same sentence with the word “Barack Obama” could be, and usually is, by black people quite highly offensive and thought to be by many as very highly racist?

Not to mention the fact that, if this had been someone; oh like say, Rush Limbaugh and he would have said this, World War III would have broken out in the media!

But, oh, because it is one of those so-called “Enlightened Liberals,” it is totally okay…. Because they are not Republicans.

Good grief…. 🙄

Neo-Conservative Blog RedState Employes Saul Alinsky Marxist tactics against Doug Mataconis

This is unbelievable:

Normally when I come across a poll to analyze, I’ll put on my impartial poll analysis hat and run it both at RedState and UnlikelyVoter. However seeing this new push poll by Public Policy Polling and the shamefully credulous response by Doug Mataconis at Outside the Beltway, I don’t want to hold back. I want to tell it like it is, and why unless some very good answers are given to some very important issues I’m about to raise, public opinion of both Doug Mataconis and of Tom Jensen should be diminished.

Here’s the upshot though: ever since the 2010 election, Tom Jensen has been placing his feelings as a Democrat partisan over his duty as a purported independent pollster, and that bias has now gone too far. Doug Mataconis has long been a bitter, mean-spirited troll of all good and decent reformers within the GOP, and his deranged hatred for conservatives has diminished his mental faculties to the point that he’ll believe any lie that comes down, as long as it’s nasty about conservatives. But, what do we expect from a guy whose personal web page has become an obsessive shrine to Ron Paul?

via Of a certain Mississippi poll on marriage, and of those who make hay of it | RedState.

First, just who the hell is the person writing this pathetic excuse for an article, think he is to say that Doug Mataconis public opinion should be diminished?

Second of all, why is someone who has videos of Ron Paul on your personal blog, make that person automatic disqualified from having a Public Opinion about politics?

Oh, but that is not all:

When a pollster uses his good name, and in the past I’ve stuck up for PPP when many Republicans assumed the worst from the firm, to attack an entire state’s Republican party with an out of the blue question with mysteriously weighted results, it’s time we all re-thought whether we’re going to take that pollster seriously going forward. At the very least, if you’re going to question on that obscure issue, ask Democrats and Independents the same thing. After all, it was the Jim Crow-era Democrats who supported the policy that Loving declared unconstitutional, and some of them are still alive and voting.

And when someone who claims to be a Republican (edit: as his personal webpage cites his history of GOP work, with no mention of repudiation) unquestioningly repeats the results of this poll, which has the above obvious problems with it, and starts trying to lecture “these people” without even allowing for the possibility that the poll is biased, that person has to have his intelligence questioned. Only a complete fool believes everything he reads. Doug Mataconis is apparently that fool.

Ad hominem attacks, the attempt to smear, diminish, and otherwise discredit those of differing opinions; that is what Neo-Conservative or Jacobin Democrats do. They have been doing this since 1964, when they fled the Democratic Party and infested the Republican Party to fulfill their warped foriegn policy agendas. That is what Neo-Conservatives do. This is a perfect example of that. Remember this, and vote against the Republican Party, if they put someone of this ilk in office, vote libertarian, vote Constitution Party, vote anything else, but do not vote for another Neo-Conservative. We must flush them out of our ranks, by all means possible —- including violence, if need be. Sorry, But I am not one of the many simple-minded fools that believe that peaceful revolution is possible. That is not how the founding Father’s founded this Country and it is not how liberty is gained. It is only gained by the taking up of arms against tyrants. It has been proven that time and time again, that Neo-Conservatives are nothing more that Democratic Party tyrants in conservative clothing.

Revolution is coming, and believe you me, it is needed.

Update: I was reading this over, and I thought I would add this; if anyone thinks that I advocate any sort of violence against those who disagree with me politically, you are wrong. I am not advocating or encouraging, or even suggesting that people do anything outside of the law.  However, it does stand to reason, that sooner or later, the American people are going to wake up and realize; and it is happening, one person at a time — that they are being conned, not only by liberals, but by Conservatives, who use the same sort of tactics and who believe that foreign wars are a good idea. Sooner or later, Americans are going to revolt, and it is not going to be a pretty thing. That is all I was saying and if anyone perceived anything other than this, you are quite the fool. Besides that, the left talks about revolution too. So, I am not the only one who believes this.

Well, they could start by not allowing their member unions beat black people that disagree with their politics.

Just a thought.

This here is why I cannot stand Barack Obama

People think it is because I am a racist. Which, of course, is bullshit. But, no, it has zero to do with race. It is because of crap like this right here.

Via InstaPundit:

Want to know the real cute part? The fucking story went down the memory hole, once people started noticing it and blogging about it. Steaming mad There is not anything that I cannot stand more, and that is a fucking coward.

Mike over at Cold Fury puts it a bit more bluntly:

Once more, with feeling: they don’t give a shit about you. In fact, they despise you. They intend to bring you to heel, and to make you suffer for all the damage you’ve done to Mother Gaia and little brown people all over the world with your greed and selfishness. Yes, that really is how they see you. They will use you only as long as it suits their purposes, and doesn’t conflict with their left-wing agenda. Unless you’re one of their blind-sheep followers, they intend to stomp you flat, any and every way they can. And if you continue voting for them, you deserve it.

Go read the rest of that, it gets much better. Embarrassed smile

Here is the video in question, I mean, even if he was joking; saying something like that is about as tone deaf as it gets, especially in this sort of an economic downturn.

Such arrogance. Good luck getting elected in 2012, ya idiot! Steaming mad

Glenn Beck to leave Fox News and quit show later this year

Can’t say I didn’t see this coming:

FOX NEWS AND MERCURY RADIO ARTS ANNOUNCE NEW AGREEMENT

(New York, NY) Fox News and Mercury Radio Arts, Glenn Beck’s production company, are proud to announce that they will work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the Fox News Channel as well as content for other platforms including Fox News’ digital properties. Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year.

Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of Fox News said, “Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody’s standards. I look forward to continuing to work with him.”??Glenn Beck said: “I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and Fox News. I cannot repay Roger for the lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn from him and I look forward to starting this new phase of our partnership.”??Joel Cheatwood, SVP/Development at Fox News, will be joining Mercury Radio Arts effective April 24, 2011. Part of his role as EVP will be to manage the partnership and serve as a liaison with the Fox News Channel.??Roger Ailes said: “Joel is a good friend and one of the most talented and creative executives in the business. Over the past four years I have consistently valued his input and advice and that will not stop as we work with him in his new role.”??“Glenn Beck” is consistently the third highest rated program on cable news. For the 27 months that “Glenn Beck” has aired on Fox News, the program has averaged more than 2.2 million total viewers and 563,000 viewers 25-54 years old, numbers normally associated with shows airing in primetime, not at 5pm. “Glenn Beck” has dominated all of its cable news competitors since launch.

via Fox News and Mercury Radio Arts Announce New Agreement; Beck to ‘Transition Off’ Daily TV Program | The Blaze.

I had a feeling this was coming; because when you take a Neo-Conservative warmonger to task, like Glenn Beck did, you usually end up paying a price for it. After that happened, Glenn Beck was smeared by the Neo-Conservative right, as a Anti-Semite. I saw this for myself, especially on twitter. The Funny thing is, The New York Times, ended up proving Glenn Beck to be correct!  So, while I hate to see the guy go, I cannot say that I am shocked at all. The funny part was, that Glenn Beck never actually said the word “Neo-Con” or “Neo-Conservative” at all. He called them everything else, but that! 😀

I was not, admittedly, a daily watcher of Glenn’s program. However, I did catch a show ever now and again. He did have a good amount of interesting stuff. His biggest problem was that he repeated himself, almost to an incessant extreme. Which I found to be quite annoying. Another point I would like to make, is that whether anyone wants to admit it or not; Glenn Beck is the real Godfather of the Tea Party movement. It was the Tea Party movement, that basically, at first, scared the living daylights out of the Republican Party establishment. Then, they tried to ignore it; then they came to embrace it. Which, I felt, was a good thing.  The G.O.P. needed a wake up call and a break from the Big Government Conservatism of the Bush-era, and they got it, with the Tea Party movement. The funny part is, the Liberals have never gotten an equivalent to the Tea Party at all. The Coffee Party fizzled, due to internal conflicts.

Anyhow, I wish Mr. Beck all of the best and I look forward to seeing what is to come. 🙂

Update: As I hit publish; I totally forgot, Van Jones, Anita Dunn and countless others; are feathers in Glenn’s cap.

Update #2: Here’s the video: (H/T AllahPundit)

God Bless Him, I hope he goes on to do bigger and better things, than just an hour show on Fox.

RINO Lindsey Graham decides that freedom is speech is valid after all

Remember this and this?

Well, somebody somewhere must have informed Lindsey Graham that his base was getting pissed.

How quickly that tune changed:

NRO: Some of my National Review colleagues are being pretty rough on you today. What is your response to some of the outrage on the right about your comments regarding free speech?

GRAHAM: General Petraeus sent a statement out to all news organizations yesterday, urging our government to ban Koran burning. Free speech probably allows that, but I don’t like that. I don’t like burning the flag under the idea of free speech. That bothers me; I have been one of the chief sponsors of legislation against burning the flag. I don’t like the idea that these people picket funerals of slain servicemen. If I had my way, that wouldn’t be free speech. So there are a lot of things under the guise of free speech that I think are harmful and hateful…

NRO: But don’t you fear that if we let Islamic extremists determine the speech debate in the United States, then we’ve lost something?

GRAHAM: No. Here’s what I fear: I fear that politicians don’t have any problem pushing against laws in the Middle East that are outrageous. It’s perfectly acceptable for me to push back against prosecutions by Islamic countries against people of my faith. And it is perfectly appropriate for me to condemn Koran burning when the general who is in charge of our troops believes that such action would help. I’m not letting Islamists determine what free speech in America is, but I am, as a political leader, trying to respond to the needs of our commander. You’ve got to remember, General Petraeus decided that this was important enough to get on the record as being inappropriate. And I want to be on the record with General Petraeus.

NRO: Instead of being an advocate for Petraeus, should you not first and foremost be an advocate for the First Amendment?

GRAHAM: You know what? Let me tell you, the First Amendment means nothing without people like General Petraeus…

NRO: What I don’t understand is, if would you support an amendment to ban flag burning, why do you not support one to ban Koran burning?

GRAHAM: In my view, the flag represents who we are as a nation. It is a symbol of who we are. If you start talking about individual acts of religious intolerance, the amendment doesn’t make any sense. It does make sense, to me, to focus on the symbol of the country, the flag. I’m not proposing that we propose a ban on religious disagreement. I am saying that you can disagree with America; you can disagree with me, but don’t burn the one symbol that holds us together. That’s not an act of speech. They say that is symbolic speech, but I think that is a destructive act. It’s the one thing that unites us.

Yet when it comes to regulating what individual churches may do, or what individual citizens may do under the guise under religion, you are not going to be able to write a constitutional amendment to ban those practices. There is no way to do that. I wish we could hold people accountable for their actions, but under free speech, you can’t.

Man, talk about putting that ’58 Buick in reverse in a big ol’ hurry! 😯

I realize that what Terry Jones is doing is just horrible; not to mention the fact that it is putting service members at risk. However, when you open Pandora’s box, but proposing to limit freedom of speech — you run the risk of ending up with results that one might not like too very well in the end. The simple fact that the results can be a double-edged sword. America, contrary to what is taught by the liberals in their cesspools of schools — was not, at any time, founded as a Democracy; it was founded as a Constitutional Republic.  In our Nation’s Constitution and in it’s first amendment. the right to freedom of speech is guaranteed; this includes undesirable speech as well.  This is why Neo-Nazi’s are allow to speak and publish that which they believe; as well as Communists.

Bottom Line: Any attempt to stifle freedom of speech in this Country is harbinger of disaster, one that America should try to avoid, at all costs.

Video: You’re right Mika it was Funny!

H/T to Mediaite:

Of course, I thought it was funny. anyone who’s read this blog for more than 5 minutes knows why too. Although Mika’s little silly giggle was quite funny to hear as well. Yes, I know about all the “But if it were liberal arguments” too; and that is a very valid point. However, I think it is important for everyone to know. Dick Cheney was, in many liberal and Anti-War Conservatives opinions, an evil man. Now, whether that is actually the case or not — I really do not know. But still, it was funny.

I, like AllahPundit; believe that she was laughing at the whole absurdity of it or something.

Video: Barack Obama’s first 2012 campaign video: Vote for me, because I am so damned wonderful

Seriously. This video has got to be one of the more interesting videos, so far.

Notice anyone missing in that video? 🙄

Tim Pawlenty
is not impressed one iota:

Neither was Mittens:

@barackobama I look forward to hearing details on your jobs plan, as are 14m unemployed Americans

Zinga-Zinga-Zing-Ring-A-Zing-Zing-Zing!
😆

Not that I think Mittens could do any better really; remember RomneyCare? Just sayin’ Anyhow, not bad so far. 😀

I will say one thing; I was over looking at Tim Pawlenty’s site, there needs to be a “Contact Us” page with a form, at least to be able to contact the campaign. Because not having one; just sends a very bad message. I would like to put a banner up on the blog and I cannot contact them to ask about it. Not good, not good at all. Might want to work on that gents. Just saying…

Quotes of the Day

Bastard. Graham is the sort of scum you get when you blindly vote for Republicans just because there is an R after their name.

Reid, who hates America and her liberties, him I expect to act this way. But Graham likes to call himself a “conservative,” and then, out of that same mouth, say that America might need to “limit” the First Amendment to appease Muslim barbarian savages.

He’s even worse than Reid, because ignoramuses think that Graham actually loves his country and our freedoms, even though his words and actions demonstrate exactly the opposite.

Yet there is a certain segment of “conservatives” who would expect me to vote for Graham no matter what, because he isn’t a Democrat.

I spit on that notion. I will never, ever vote for a candidate who espouses this sort of America-hating, anti-liberty, constitution-loathing crap, no matter what nominal party tag is dangling around his neck.

Video: Guest Voice: Jack Hunter on Liberals and Libya

Via Jack Hunter on Facebook:

Charles Johnson is right and here is why

First, go read — I will wait.

Are you finished?  Good.

What is my point?  This:

This right here above, is why I have my comments section on lock down.  Not only do I require people to register, but I also moderate all comments — meaning, I personally read every comment; because of stuff like this right here.  Uncontrolled discussion on blogs leads to things being said, like what Charles Johnson quoted.

However, I do wholeheartedly reject the accusation or at least the inferring that all Conservative blogs have become a swamp of hate against Muslims and or Arabs.  Furthermore, I reject the inferring that all Conservatives/Classic Liberals/Republicans and Christians hate all Muslims and Arabs.  That is collectivism, and it is crap; and I think Johnson is smart enough to know this, I think he is backhanding the blogs mentioned due to his dispute with the persons mentioned.

Having said of that, I do truly believe that there is a minority of persons in the Republican/Conservative/Classic Liberal crowd — who are frankly, bigoted towards Muslims and ultimately Arabs.  Unlike some of the empty-headed idiots on the left, I am not going to make the asinine inferring that they are this way by design.  What I will do is tell you the truth; what has caused this small but very vocal minority to become this way, is because of the attacks on American soil on September 11, 2001.

President George W. Bush, much to his credit did make the much vital distinction between the war on Terrorism and the war on Islam or Muslims or even Arabs.  Not everyone within the conservative circles agreed with him and still does not agree with that mindset to this day; and now that President George W. Bush is out of the picture that vocal minority is becoming louder and much more accepted.  I do not like myself; because it just makes the rest of us look bad.

This of course, is what the C.I.A. calls “Blowback.”  It is the unintended consequences of actions taken by the United States Government.  Most people think of “Blowback” as the angering of the Arab people to cause them to take up arms and commit terrorism against the United States of America – and in fact, it is just that.  However, that is just the one side of “Blowback.”  The other, more tragic and sinister side of “blowback” is the incitement of racial hatred towards Arabs and the religious hatred towards Muslims in General — including those here in the United States of America.

This reason, along with the laundry list of reasons; is why people like myself, Jack Hunter, Ron Paul, Rand Paul and an ever-growing list of Conservatives and Republicans are beginning to question the role of the United States Government involvement on foreign entanglements in foreign lands.

Of course, anyone with a good knowledge of the history of the United States of America and of American politics can tell you, that this is nothing new at all.  In the 1940’s President Franklin Roosevelt, badly wanting to enter into the conflict against the Empire of Japan and against Germany, ordered a blockade of oil from South America that was headed to Japan.  This act by the President plunged Japan into desperation caused Japan to fly across the Atlantic and attack America’s interests in the Republic of Hawaii.  At the time however, Americans were not made aware of the fact that President Roosevelt had done this, as it was kept quiet by the Government.  However, there were people who did know about it.  Winston Churchill was one of those people, and in fact, Churchill warned FDR that doing such things would cause some sort of backlash from the Japanese and, as history shows, he was correct.  The sick and sad part is; to this very day, there are people who still believe that the Empire of Japan attacked the United States for no reason at all.

How this ties into the modern-day events is this; back in 1941, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States Government set up internment camps throughout the United States for the Japanese people.  It is very widely believed that the decision to do this, by the United States Government was brought on by or at the very least fueled Anti-Japanese sentiment in this Country for years, even after the war.  Sadly, there are Conservatives, of whom I will not name; that actually advocated the interment of Muslims and Arab Americans — after the attacks on 9/11.  Thankfully, the Bush Administration did not listen to the foolish ranting of the people who wrote those books.

My point is the following: Conservatives who believe that foreign policy interventionism is wrong, need to take a stand against the internationalist Democrats and the Neo-Conservative foreign policy interventionists and take control of the Republican Party and possibly the Democratic Party away from these warmongers.  Because as long as the United States continues to wage war against Nations that have never really attacked it, this sort of hatred and bigotry will continue.  It is simply the doctrine of “Cause and Effect.”  Nothing ever happens for any reason at all.  It is tragically sad, that the United States and its political parties and their legions of sheep followers, have not figured that simple kernel of truth out.

You say, “What about protecting the Republic?”  I do not have a problem with that.  However, there is a Grand Canyon difference in protecting the Republic and protecting the empire of America; and wise is the person who knows the difference between the two.  Declaring unconstitutional wars and military actions against Nations who have not attacked us; is not defending or protecting the Republic; but rather defending the empire of America and playing useful idiot to foreign lands.  I hope that someday, the grassroots of both of these parties will wrestle control away from these people.  However, if one is to base his hopes on the Republican Party — their recent actions — make that hope, nothing more than a pipe-dream.
