Sigh….Why do people do dumb crap like this?!?!?!

Rep. Brad Miller (D-NC) will not be hosting any town hall events this August — instead, he’s making himself available to constituents for one-on-one meetings about health care reform — and at least part of the reason is this: His offices have received threatening phone calls, including at least one direct threat against his life.
“We had no town hall events scheduled for the August recess anyway, but in light of everything that’s happened — we have received a threatening phone call in the D.C. office, there have been calls to the Raleigh office,” said Miller communications director LuAnn Canipe, in an interview with TPM. The threatening call in question happened earlier this week.
“The call to the D.C. office was, ‘Miller could lose his life over this,'” said Canipe. “Our staffer took it so seriously, he confirmed what the guy was saying. He said, ‘Sir is that a threat?’ and at that time our staffer was getting the phone number off caller ID and turning it over to the Capitol Police.”
They haven’t heard anything back from the police yet, but they did get the caller’s number. So this could develop into something soon enough.

First of all – he had no town hall meetings scheduled – so what, exactly, is he canceling? Let’s face it, Propaganda Points Memo is not exactly a trustworthy source for anything resembling truth, but in this case, the claim is so egregious that it begs for confirmation.
Either produce a police report or stuff your report. This event, according to the report, was reported to the Capitol Police. Produce the report.
A congressman who had no plans to hold town hall meetings excitedly reporting that he is canceling all of his nonexistent town hall meetings stinks out loud of publicity stunt. Produce the report.
Or else you are a fraud. No middle ground here.

I personally hope that whomever the bonehead was that made such a threat will end up spending some quality time behind bars. While I opposed to the socialism of the Liberal Left; this sort of nonsense is uncalled for and must be stopped. We have a peaceful process in this country, it is called political discourse and elections. Let us stick to that please. We are not Iran or North Korea people, let’s not act like them.

William Jefferson found guilty on 11 of 16 counts

In the 16-count indictment, Jefferson was charged with soliciting bribes and other crimes for a series of schemes in which he helped American businesses broker deals in West African in exchange for payments or financial considerations to companies controlled by members of his family, including his brother Mose, his wife, Andrea, their five daughters and a son-in-law.

Jefferson, 62, who represented the New Orleans-based 2nd Congressional District for nine terms, will now face sentencing by Judge T.S. Ellis III, who earlier meted out stiff sentences for lesser figures in the case. According to the U.S. attorney’s office, Jefferson faced 235 years in prison if convicted on all counts, and will still face substantial prison time.
Prosecutors asked that Jefferson be held as a flight risk, but the judge allowed him to remain free pending his sentencing scheduled for Oct. 30. A forfeiture hearing will be held Thursday to decide what assets Jefferson will have to surrender.
The verdict comes four years after the Aug. 3, 2005 raids of Jefferson’s homes in New Orleans and Washington, D.C., in which the FBI found $90,000 in cash hidden in the freezer of his D.C. home, money the government said Jefferson was going to deliver as a bribe to Atiku Abubakar, then vice president of Nigeria, to gain his help with a telecommunications deal in Nigeria being pursued by Lori Mody, a Northern Virginia businesswoman.
The money was the lion’s share of $100,000 in FBI cash that the congressman was videotaped receiving packed in a briefcase days earlier in a suburban Virginia parking lot from Mody, who, beginning in March of 2005, had become a cooperating witness for the FBI, secretly taping her conversations with Jefferson.
The jury did not find him guilty on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which was the count linked to the money in the freezer.
While Mody did not testify at the trial, the jury heard segments of her taped conversations with Jefferson along with more than six weeks of testimony from government witnesses, including iGate Inc. CEO Vernon Jackson and Mody financial adviser Brett Pfeffer, both of whom are serving time after pleading guilty to their involvement in the bribe schemes, and hoped to see their sentences reduced in exchange for their testimony against Jefferson.
Jefferson did not testify in his own defense and his formal defense lasted only about two hours. In his closing argument, lead defense attorney Robert Trout presented his client as a man whose dealings had placed him in an ethical “gray” area, but who had not broken the law.

I will simply say this; as a non-partisan Conservative blogger who knows full well that there is corruption on both sides of the aisle, I will simply say this. I am very pleased that this man was caught. I only hope now that it does not stop this guy; but rather continues with others that are extremely corrupt up on capital hill.

Once again Andrew Sullivan shows that he is not a Conservative

Andrew Sullivan is Astroturfing (or is it asshole-turfing? Most likely BOTH in Sullivan’s case! ) for his fellow Liberals.

Here’s another example. There’s a groundswell of grousing on the right about the cash-for-clunkers program, because the feds were caught off-guard by its popularity. The argument is that if the government can’t run cash-for-clunkers, how can it run healthcare?
To which one might respond: but cash-for-clunkers is one example of the government actually doing something right, helpful and popular. It’s the kind of pragmatic experimentation that FDR tried repeatedly. So you have a practical, targeted measure that seems to have helped abate a deeper recession in the auto industry, and the right is obsessed with the ideological abstraction of “government.”
What conservatives have to do, in my view, is not demonize government, but to champion limited government. If government can do tangible practical things that help everyone, while balancing its budget, it’s doing what conservatives think it should. Smart, practical initiatives that address problems that the private sector has failed at: what else is government for? The rest is ideology – and it seems to be all the Republicans have left.

Can someone tell how the Government affecting the Markets is doing something right? I mean, Ron Paul knocked out of the ballpark, when he said in his video that, while the “Cash for Clunkers” program might help those who are able to buy cars; but that it would damage the market for the poor people who buy those older so-called “Clunker” cars.

I’m nobody’s conservative, but I’m pretty sure if I was telling conservatives how to think I wouldn’t admonish them for failing to champion limited government within two sentences of praising FDR’s pragmatism. It’s like, I dunno, lecturing the Labour Party about demonstrating their pro-union bonafides while praising Margaret Thatcher’s centrism. Sounds a bit off.

Sullivan is dead right about one thing: Cash-for-clunkers is indeed very “popular.” So is the home mortgage interest deduction, the prescription drug benefit, and any number of federal programs that siphon from the diffuse pool of tax revenue+debt and blast out concentrated benefits to the broad middle class. The standard for judging these things shouldn’t be popularity–Richard Nixon’s wage-and-price control spasm of 1971, to name one of many historical measures now widely and rightly considered asinine, was hugely popular at the time–but whether they make sense in both the short and long term.
Cash-for-clunkers amounts to a rounding error in Tim Geithner’s nose-hair at this point, which is probably why at least some liberals seem so genuinely baffled by the disproportionate criticism it has drawn. But for some of us it’s also a nearly perfect symbol of economic statism run amok. The federal government is taking from the many, giving it to the less-than-many, destroying functional cars, funneling money to an auto industry that it already largely owns (at a hefty taxpayer price tag), then taking multiple (and multiply premature) bows for rescuing the economy and the auto industry in the process.
I understand, and even appreciate, that not everyone interprets things this way. But what I don’t understand, and ultimately don’t respect, is the weird urge to react to yet another Obama administration brainfart by rounding up its opponents and putting them in a metaphorical holding pen marked “ideologically obsessed.” Particularly after eight years in which the only detectable ideology was taxcut-and-spend, and otherwise do what parties in power always do: look for creative new ways to bribe the middle class.

I happen to like that last part about bribing the middle class. Is not that the honest truth? I mean, the Republican Party does it, and so do the Democrats. Bribe the middle class for their vote. I tend to believe it happens on the left more; but honestly, both sides do it. This program is an example of that.

Piggybacking on WSJ’s point, it strikes me that the “clunkers” aspect of this arrangement is morally dubious. Glenn Reynolds‘ 2004 Mazda RX-8 is a clunker that, were he so inclined, he would be eligible to trade to the government (indirectly) for $4500. It would then be scrapped. Doesn’t this remove a perfectly good used car from the market that some person of modest means could otherwise have purchased, either upgrading from an older, less reliable vehicle or none at all? And doesn’t doing that mean the price of other used cars will increase accordingly?

Which is exactly what Ron Paul said in his video. Here is another area that this program will hurt. Auto Mechanics; these guys are the ones who keep those older cars going, thus creating a living for themselves. Which, in case the liberal socialist left have forgotten; does contribute to the economy. Which proves to the this writer, that the socialist far liberal left, in their quest to further their so-called Green agenda, which is basically a big scam, that is only going to benefit big business; they have left the most important people behind —- their constituents, that are the poor and lower middle class in this Country.

I do not always agree with the Ron Paul. But this time; he is dead on. His point is that the liberals in their quest to revive a market for new cars, is destroying a used market for older cars for the poor people to drive. Which is absolutely true. Hell, I drive a damned clunker car! Do you think that I can afford to go buy a new car? Well sure, if someone wants to give me the entire amount needed to buy a new one! Contrary to what some might believe, some of us Conservatives are not independently wealthy. Some of us Conservatives are below the poverty line. Some of us Conservatives are poor!

However, just because I am not rolling in the dough, does not mean that I want a Government hand out! Just because I am poor, does not mean that I want the Government controlling every aspect of my life either!

You ask, “If your are so damned poor, than why the hell are you a Conservative?!?!” Because I know the truth about the Democratic Party; how they use poor people, black people, and other minorities, all for their votes and to achieve idiotic goals of a socialistic society.

So, again; I might not always agree with Ron Paul, but this time, he knocked it out of the ballpark.

Oh Wonderful…. There are Russian Subs Patrolling Off East Coast of U.S.

A pair of nuclear-powered Russian attack submarines has been patrolling off the eastern seaboard of the United States in recent days, a rare mission that has raised concerns inside the Pentagon and intelligence agencies about a more assertive stance by the Russian military.
The episode has echoes of the cold war era, when the United States and the Soviet Union regularly parked submarines off each other’s coasts to steal military secrets, track the movements of their underwater fleets — and be poised for war.
But the collapse of the Soviet Union all but eliminated the ability of the Russian Navy to operate far from home ports, making the current submarine patrols thousands of miles from Russia more surprising for military officials and defense policy experts.
“I don’t think they’ve put two first-line nuclear subs off the U.S. coast in about 15 years,” said Norman Polmar, a naval historian and submarine warfare expert.
The submarines are of the Akula class, a counterpart to the Los Angeles class attack subs of the United States Navy, and not one of the larger submarines that can launch intercontinental nuclear missiles.
According to Defense Department officials, one of the Russian submarines remained in international waters on Tuesday about 200 miles off the coast of the United States. The location of the second remained unclear. One senior official said the second submarine traveled south in recent days toward Cuba, while another senior official with access to reports on the surveillance mission said it had sailed away in a northerly direction.

White House wants snitches!

This is seriously screwed up. Now The Obama Administration wants people to snitch on this who are opposed to the Public Healthcare opinion.

If you see anybody publicly opposing President Obama’s plan to implement a government-centric overhaul of the health care system, the White House wants you to report that person (or persons) ASAP.
From the White House website:

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

Emphasis added. Of course, as we’ve seen in the health care debate to date, the term “disinformation” is used by the Obama White House as a catchall to describe any opposition to the President’s push for single-payer, government-run health care — meaning the White House wants to be informed of any forwarded emails or blog posts or any “casual conversations” that could be taken as opposition to their health care overhaul plan.
The White House has, as yet, offered no explanation of what it is they plan to do with the tips on policy opposition they hope to receive from citizen informers.
Interestingly, as Jake Tapper pointed out on Twitter this morning, the title of that post on the White House is a quote from John Adams’ 1770 “Argument in Defense of the Soldiers in the Boston Massacre Trials.”

White House Counsel’s Job on the line

Obama administration officials are holding discussions that could result in White House counsel Gregory Craig leaving his post, following a rocky tenure, people familiar with the matter said.

Mr. Craig, the top lawyer at the White House and a close aide to President Barack Obama, has helped lead the administration’s efforts on several national-security issues that once enjoyed popularity but have since become become political liabilities for Mr. Obama.
These include the closure of the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the release of Bush administration-era national-security documents, and efforts to find legal ways to indefinitely hold some detainees who can’t be put on trial.
The decision to close the Guantanamo facility became a political problem for Mr. Obama when concerns arose that some of the detainees would be released into the U.S. and the public soured on the move.

Of course, you can count on the White House for that transparency that Obama touted, right?

Mr. Craig didn’t respond to questions about his job as White House counsel for this article.
The people familiar with the matter said a final decision hasn’t been made.
In a statement, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina said: “We’ve addressed these rumors before. They are nothing more than typical Washington parlor games. It’s disappointing that while we are focused on reviving the economy and fighting two wars, others spend their time pointing fingers in an attempt to promote their own status.

Well, not so much. Wait! Was that a veiled swipe at Hillary? Remember Mr. President Douche Nozzle, only reason you got that President’s job is because Hillary knew it would destroy your party for her to continue the fight.

Moving right along, it appears this is the reason that this guy is on his way out:

Mr. Craig has come under criticism from inside the administration and in Congress for a perceived failure to manage the political issues that have originated from Mr. Obama’s decision to close Guantanamo, according to officials in the administration and in Congress. This criticism has drawn focus away from president’s priorities, such as health care and energy.

As an example of the difficulties Mr. Craig faced, the officials cite the president’s move in May to reverse a decision that would have led to the release of photos showing abuse of terror detainees during the Bush administration.

Some Obama national-security officials complained they hadn’t been consulted, people familiar with the matter said, and the objections prompted weeks of debate inside the administration.
Mr. Craig and Attorney General Eric Holder won the fight to release the memorandums, with minimal redactions, but the White House had to move quickly to limit political damage. Former Vice President Dick Cheney sharpened criticism of Mr. Obama during a televised speech that followed Mr. Obama’s own address intended to explain his national-security vision.
At around the same time, the administration was running into trouble with plans to move to northern Virginia at least some Chinese Muslim Uighurs who remain detained at Guantanamo despite being cleared for release. The furor over the possible release of former suspects in the U.S. led Congress to overwhelmingly pass new restrictions, including barring spending to close the Guantanamo prison.
Mr. Obama signed executive orders during his first week in office to close the Guantanamo prison, to review the cases of the more than 200 detainees there and to draw up possible changes to detention and interrogation policies.
At the time Mr. Obama enjoyed public support for his Guantanamo plans, polls showed. Six months later that public support has dissipated, polls show.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.), one of the administration’s allies on the Guantanamo closure, faulted the White House handling of Guantanamo. “Announcing the closure without a plan has put in jeopardy the ability to close Guantanamo. Now public opinion has turned,” Mr. Graham said Monday.

Looks like the reason why this guy is on his way out; is simply because he could not or would not push through the President’s agenda. When the support dropped from the America people and the agenda could not be fulfilled, Obama throws him under the Bus. So typical for the Chicago thug politics that Obama is infamous for.

Obama Adminstration Cronyism Continues: Security Cyber Czar Steps Down

Man, I think Michelle Malkin released her book a bit too early.

The White House’s acting cybersecurity czar announced her resignation Monday, in a setback to the Obama administration’s efforts to better protect the computer networks critical to national security and the global economy.
The resignation highlights the difficulty the White House has had following through on its cybersecurity effort. President Barack Obama first outlined his cybersecurity plans in a high-profile speech May 29, announcing his intention to create a top White House cybersecurity post — a position he has yet to fill.
Melissa Hathaway, who completed the Obama administration’s cybersecurity review in April, said in an interview that she was leaving for personal reasons. “It’s time to pass the torch,” she said, adding that she and her colleagues have provided an “initial down payment for what’s needed to start to address cybersecurity.”

People familiar with the matter said Ms. Hathaway has been “spinning her wheels” in the White House, where the president’s economic advisers sought to marginalize her politically.

She lost favor with the president’s economic team after she said it should consider options for regulating some private-sector entities to ensure they secure their networks, said cybersecurity specialists familiar with the discussions. So much for that bipartisanship and all that talk of leading from the center that we heard about during the election. If you are a Conservative or a hold over from Bush’s Administration, I think it would be a good time to update that resume! Because sooner or later the Oaf in chief is going to throw you under the bus.

The images broadcast by Globovision show a woman the network says is Lina Ron, a UPV leader and a radical Chavez supporter. In the past, Ron has appeared side by side with Chavez at mass gatherings and participated in joint press conferences with the top brass of the president’s socialist party.
In February 2008, Ron led a group that stormed the episcopacy in Caracas after leaders from the Catholic church criticized Chavez. The president at that time condemned Ron’s actions, though months later appeared with her in political rallies.

…and yet our President supports and wants to be buddies with this guy. Maybe it is because he is a terrorist too; as they say, birds of a feather flock together.

A new poster depicting President Obama as a version of Heath Ledger’s Joker character in The Dark Knight has appeared in Los Angeles, according to rightwing sources. Blog posters to such online sites as American Thinker and Tammy Bruce are predictably in the throes of political orgasm.
The poster, which bears a very superficial resemblance to Shepard Fairey’s famous Obama Hope illustration, has been pasted on freeway supports and other public surfaces. It has a bit of everything to appeal to the drunk tank of California conservatism: Obama is in white face, his mouth (like Ledger’s Joker’s) has been grotesquely slit wide open and the word “Socialism” appears below his face. The only thing missing is a noose.

WASHINGTON – Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly invited WND Editor Joseph Farah on his show tonight to discuss eligibility questions surrounding Barack Obama, then backed out when the guest insisted on sticking to facts and conducting a civil discourse with no shouting.
O’Reilly producer Ron Mitchell contacted Farah Sunday night asking if he could be on the program tonight. Farah replied that he was available and that details could be worked out with his publicist, Maria Sliwa.
In turn, Sliwa presented Mitchell with a short list of criteria for Farah’s appearance:
Though a sober and civil discourse is always welcome, shouting is not;
No other guests on during the segment with Mr. Farah;
Discussion to be limited to the facts of the story;
Accurate, approved description of Mr. Farah and news organization he represents;
Screen ID chyron to be approved by Mr. Farah.
In turn, Mitchell replied that he would have to “discuss his requests with Bill.”
Two hours later, the reply from Mitchell came back: “I’m afraid that is not going to work for us.”
Farah had challenged O’Reilly in a column last week about his assertions that he had investigated the questions involving Obama’s birth certificate and found them to be without merit.
He wrote: “I have a challenge to my old buddy Bill O’Reilly – put up or shut up!
“You told your viewers this week that challenges to Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility are ‘bogus.’
“You claimed you and your news organization examined Obama’s birth certificate last year and found it to be in order.
“Can I ask a question, Bill? Why don’t you simply reveal to your viewers exactly what you saw and what you found?
“Fox News Channel’s slogan is, ‘We report, you decide.’ Why don’t you try actually reporting the story, rather than deciding for us?”
Farah said he was not surprised O’Reilly wouldn’t agree to a civil discourse and a calm discussion of the facts.
“I wanted to shed light on this issue, but evidently O’Reilly only wants ratings heat,” he said.

I do not know about you. But now, it seems that the Main Stream media is now trying to protect Obama on this issue of his Birth Certificate ; and yes this includes Bill O’Reilly. Which does not surprise me, Bill does not like to be told what to do. Needless to say, that the Media is treating this the wrong way. It is going to come back to haunt them; Bill O’Reilly included.

The President can stop all of this madness, he can order the release of the original long form Birth Certificate; and not that damn forgery.

Update: Seems like the little Document that Orly Tate floated to the media is Bogus as hell. She’s a fucking far right wing and yes, I call her a rabid Zionist twit, and Joe Farah is in on it with her. To hell with the both of them! I cannot believe that I fell for that nonsense. 😡

Update #2: Joe Farah NOW says that he had doubts about the whole thing, but still he allowed HIS news organization report. So, As far as I am concerned; Joe’s an asshole and a irresponsible one at that. The funny thing is, that bastard wanted ME to work for him, running at Blog at one point. Ha! In all honesty, it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I thought that it would devolve into a swearing and screaming match and that someone would end up with a black eye. I was kind of actually hoping that Michelle would clock Joy Bayhar into the eye or something. I hate that Bitch with a passion. But Alas, it was quite civilized.

You know you’ve won the argument when the ladies of the View are reduced to arguing how corrupt Team Obama is, and not whether.

I have to say that I loved the quip by Michelle; when she referred to Elizabeth is the friendly side of the table. I also found it extremely ironic, that the three liberal suck bags; when they saw that they were losing the debate on the Obama Administration, they began bringing up the Bush Administration and the Iraq War. The old classic “We’re losing here, so, let’s change the subject.” Also, About the Iraq war, We won the war and have mostly withdrawn from Bagdad. I wonder what the Iraqi people think about the United States of America just pulling out of that Country and leaving it to chaos. Hello! Does anyone remember Vietnam? Idiots. They are the ones that caused America to lose that war. They see it as a major victory.

The Obama Administration Strong Arms the Television Networks

….and the networks are not liking it at all.

In the days before President Obama’s last news conference, as the networks weighed whether to give up a chunk of their precious prime time, Rahm Emanuel went straight to the top.
Rather than calling ABC, the White House chief of staff phoned Bob Iger, chief executive of parent company Disney. Instead of contacting NBC, Emanuel went to Jeffrey Immelt, the chief executive of General Electric. He also spoke with Les Moonves, the chief executive of CBS, the company spun off from Viacom.
Whether this amounted to undue pressure or plain old Chicago arm-twisting, Emanuel got results: the fourth hour of lucrative network time for his boss in six months. But network executives have been privately complaining to White House officials that they cannot afford to keep airing these sessions in the current economic downturn.
The networks “absolutely” feel pressured, says Paul Friedman, CBS’s senior vice president: “It’s an enormous financial cost when the president replaces one of those prime-time hours. The news divisions also have mixed feelings about whether they are being used.”
While it is interesting to see how a president handles questions, Friedman says, “there was nothing” at the July 22 session, which was dominated by health-care questions. “There hardly ever is these days, because there’s so much coverage all the time.”

Well, it might have to do with something, with the fact that President Obama is nothing more than a sleazy Chicago Politician!

Of course, Liberals will say; “Well the Bush Administration did the same thing!”

Wrong.

Tensions have been building behind the scenes. Some television executives say the Bush administration informally floated possible news conference dates in advance, while Obama officials basically notify the networks of their plans. Such an approach prompted calls between White House officials and the top executives at each network, and a meeting between Gibbs and the Washington bureau chiefs.
Since the Reagan era, when cable news was in its infancy, prime-time presidential pressers have been a relative rarity. George H.W. Bush held one in 1992, but the broadcast networks dismissed it as an election-year event and refused to carry it. The following year, when Bill Clinton held his first evening news conference, CBS and ABC stiffed him; NBC carried the first half-hour; only CNN and PBS aired the whole thing. George W. Bush held four such events in eight years.

Can you say buyers remorse? The person whom the liberals thought they were electing the White Knight of hope and change; is nothing more than the black knight of cronyism and political corruption. This article goes on and on, and I recommend that you read it. This Administration is still running in campaign mode. Even worse so, than when Bush was in office. Even Michelle Malkin; when she was on “The View” even said that Obama is nothing more than an extension of the Bush Administration’s overreaching use of the executive power, with the appointing of over 22 czars.

The whole “Hope & Change” line was nothing more than a stinking lie, and the American people and the liberal media are slowly, but very surely, waking up to this sobering fact.

College Grad sues college because she cannot find a job

Good grief…. Does this mean I can sue my local job search service here in Michigan? Because I cannot find a job driving semi? or maybe the college I attended? Egad.

She has given new meaning to a class-action lawsuit.
Trina Thompson gave it the old college try, but couldn’t find work. Now she thinks her sheepskin wasn’t worth her time, and is suing her alma mater for her money back.
The Monroe College grad wants the $70,000 she spent on tuition because she hasn’t found gainful employment since earning her bachelor’s degree in April, according to a suit filed in Bronx Supreme Court on July 24.
The 27-year-old alleges the business-oriented Bronx school hasn’t lived up to its end of the bargain, and has not done enough to find her a job.
The information-technology student blames Monroe’s Office of Career Advancement for not providing her with the leads and career advice it promised.
“They have not tried hard enough to help me,” the frustrated Bronx resident wrote about the school in her lawsuit.
“She’s angry,” said Thompson’s mother, Carol. “She’s very angry at her situation. She put all her faith in them, and so did I. They’re not making an effort.

Hell, I am angry too. I took Truck Drive Training school in 2003 and I still have not been able to find a local driving job. I should sue the school, they didn’t stand on their heads to find me a job good enough. 🙄

Jonathan Turley says that suit has snowballs chance in Hades of going anywhere:

The basis of the lawsuit seems entirely frivolous and could result in sanctions unless the college made (unlikely) promises of employment.
She accuses the Office of Career Advancement for not providing her sufficient support — a common complaint among students.
The college promises a lifetime of free service for graduates, but it does not promise a job. Thompson feels that the college falsely promised support and leads for jobs.

That is the whole point. The school promises leads; not jobs. This is how colleges avoid lawsuits, they can point you in the right direction, but they cannot promise you an actual job. If any college tried to do that, they would be up to their eyeballs in lawsuits.

Seriously though, I think I enjoy writing better. But I would love to write for an online Conservative political magazine. Call me, people, call me! 😀
