Oh Boy, here we go again….:

“The Taliban have gained the upper hand in Afghanistan, the top American commander there said, forcing the U.S. to change its strategy in the eight-year-old conflict by increasing the number of troops in heavily populated areas like the volatile southern city of Kandahar, the insurgency’s spiritual home.”

The general’s spokesman in Kabul was swift to separate him from that headline and lead. They “go too far,” he said: The general does not believe the Taliban are winning or “gaining the upper hand.”

Nevertheless, in the eighth year of America’s war, the newly arrived field commander concedes that U.S. casualties, now at record levels, will continue to be high or go higher, and that our primary mission is no longer to run down and kill Taliban but to defend the Afghan population.

What happened was that Pat Buchanan’s BRAIN checked out shortly after the Nixon Administration. No wonder this feckless idiot never made President. The very suggestion that Obama should pull out Afghanistan is an damned insult to the 2,996 people who died on September 11, 2001; and dare I say this? It is quite Anti or Un-American as well. As you can see, between this; and the nonsense sputtered by that ignorant Faux Conservative in South Carolina, Jack Hunter, I am truly beginning to see what these morons are really about. Anti-Americanism, Racism, and Antisemitism.

I admit, that sometimes, I quote Pat on this Blog, for a quote of the day; that is when actually writes something that sounds halfway intelligent; and not something that sounds like it was written by an escapee from the damned mental ward. The problem with Pat Buchanan’s and for that matter; Ron Paul’s idea of Foreign policy, is that it is rooted in the past. This is not 1935, this is 2009 and things have changed. Isolationism is what got this damned Country into World War II and at this stage in the game would only cause America more troubles that it would help the country.

…and before anyone thinks it. No, I am, nor will I ever be a “Neo-Conservative”, I do not embrace Wilsonian Foreign policy nor do I believe in preemptive strikes. But I do believe in protecting Americans Interests and defending the Republic. Something that Ron Paul and Yes, Pat Buchanan have zero concept of. Which explains why the White House is one place that they shall never occupy.

Believe it or not Ed Schultz does have a reason to think what he does

First off, I am not saying that I agree with that he is saying here, but I can certainly understand why he thinks what he does.

No, I do not agree with the loose cannon idiot on the thought that anyone on the right wants Obama dead. I am not quite that stupid; but I can see why Ed thinks the way that he does. Why? Oh, well, because there was some idiot holding up sign saying “Death to Obama and his kids” and because some idiot today got into a stand off with the police out on L.A. after making threats toward the President.

Now the one hundred dollar question is this; is right wing radio fueling this sort of stupidity? I personally do not know. I do not make a habit of listening to right wing talk radio, if I can help it. I can say this, there many people upset right now, at what the White House and Congress are trying to do. Now, Do I believe Rupert and Co. are causing the masses to go all freak deakey? I believe that they are not exactly trying to calm the people down.

However, I believe Ed Schultz’s accusation is a bit over the top and possibly a bit of a jumping the shark, for using such imagery. But I can see why he feels the way that he does. But using that sort of term, wasn’t one of his smarter moments.

Lazich said U.S. Secret Service agents took the unidentified 51-year-old man into custody Wednesday afternoon after deputies detained him near the entrance to Hagerstown Community College.

I am not one normally to rejoice over someones misfortune. But this is an notable exception. This moronic tool is right where he should be; cooling his heels in a jail cell. This goes well beyond politics, it just boils down to being stupid. I am not a fan of the socialized health-care, but ripping up people signs and wishing death on the President is just plain asinine.

Update #3: The story that I reported above thankfully ended peacefully with no loss of life. Hopefully that man will get the help that he needs. Turns out, he was off his medication and when he does that, he flips out. As someone who’s been on medication all my life; I can relate. Hopefully, the justice dept. sees this and goes easy on the guy. God Bless him, the man was and still is not well. My Prayers are with his family.

Ed Morrissey is an Honorable Conservative

A recognition by a well-known liberal political commentator; and that was for simply telling the truth. Something that is not very common on the far right; who seem to have a thing, for lack of a better word, for the conspiracy theory.

The reason Ed was named this, was because of his posting on the so-called internment camps; which seems to be the latest screaming Meme around the Blogosphere, that seems to be very popular amongst the Paleo-Conservative and Paleo-Libertarian crowd. Instead of repeating the screaming Meme; Ed did something that is not very common in the Conservative World these days —– He told the truth about the story.

Yes, I know what you are thinking; “Is not this the guy that Pat ripped a new one for what said about the Auto Companies?” Yes, I have done that and a few other things, in the past. I have also come to his defense on more than one occasion. My issue with not with Ed personally; my issue was with how the comments about the big three were being framed. Some people, and yes, that did include Ed; were framing it to blame the workers. I thought that it was wrong and still do. But I will be the first to tell you that the whole organized labor movement has some serious issues. But that is all in the past, and I did, admittedly, overreact to the whole thing, mainly because it is personal and is connected my family.

However, I will the first to bestow kudos on Ed, because the guy is honest, he is not the “typical rich a-hole” Republican, that I have encountered in the past. In fact, he is quite down to earth and; do I dare admit this? He is also quite the nice guy too.

I will simply end this piece by saying this. In this day of age of right wing screech and bluster; it is refreshing to see a site like HotAir and people like Ed Morrissey, who cut through the crap and present the truth; often to his own peril. Oh Yes, AllahPundit does that as well. This is why I read him and Ed. Not because I agree with everything they say, but because they are honest about what they write.

This, my friends, is something quite Honorable.

A while back I wrote about this Church and about the fact that they had a fire.

Isaiah 64:11 “Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste”

The evening of June 30, 2009, the Gateway Anabaptist Church building sustained an electrical fire rendering the complete loss of the contents and use of the current building, but no loss of any lives. Praise the Lord! Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the second floor, but water damaged all other contents – including, tracts, Bibles, books, printers, furniture….

We have been inquiring into renting a closed elementary school building in our school district, while we attempt to rebuild. Please pray for the Lord’s leading in finding a place to meet as autumn is just around the corner.

Saturday, August 8, some of our members attempted to have a bake sale and raised $400. Neighbors of the church building came just to donate, even in the pouring rain! Some of the church members are hoping to have a car wash in the near future just to help work and raise money for the building fund. We now have $11,200.00 in the building fund.

We expect that it will take about $125,000 to rebuild our facility. We are presently trying to work with the authorities to get our electricity back on.

God is leading in so many of our friends lives from so many other churches, who have been blessed by our church ministry throughout the years, to help us and share in the blessings. It has truly been a humbling , yet wonderful experience to see how God will use “the widow’s mite.” To all that have contributed already we must say, “Thank you, we will never forget your kindness!” God is able!

As the pastor having lost so many of my “in reach, and ready resources” of literature for evangelism, discipleship, and counseling, it has become most difficult. However, when that day returns in the future when we will have those things again, we look forward to the more greater things that will be accomplished for the ministry of the Gospel. We have recently seen six baptized with about eight more awaiting baptism with several that have been recently saved. God is adding to His church, in spite of all the adversity.

The enemy meant it for evil, …but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Genesis 50:20

We will not “quit or compromise” as God leads us through the “fire and the flood”.

Yes, it is wrong when someone rips up a poster of Rosa Parks

This is one of those postings that is going to most likely anger some on the far right that might read this blog.

I have two words for ’em.

Pam Spaulding of whom I have zero in common with, when it comes to politics; but this right here goes way beyond that and yes, it is highly racist and yes, it pisses me the hell off — reports about some ass-clown who took it upon himself to rip up some woman’s poster of Rosa Parks.

This is the only video of what actually happened at the event this afternoon. The news only showed the woman being escorted away by the police. What happened was the women walked in with signs, the crowd booed and yelled at the women. The women rolled up their posters and put them down. A photographer/reporter approached the woman on the end and wanted to see what the poster was. As the woman went to show the photographer/reporter what the poster was, a man from the bleachers stood up and snatched the poster from the woman and photographer/reporter. As the woman went to retrieve her poster the police stepped in and escorted the woman and the man from the building.

The poster was not of Obama, it was not pro health care, the poster that was taken from the woman and wrinkled up into a ball was of Rosa Parks.

National news coverage only showed the woman being escorted from the forum and left out the fact that it was the man who started the incident. Not to mention it was a poster of Rosa Parks.

Okay, here is the deal; I understand that many people are not too thrilled about Obama’s attempt to Nationalize the healthcare system in this Country. Count me among those who are not too trilled about it either. But this sort of nonsense right here is just fucking wrong. First off all, just who the fuck appointed this asshole to be the offical “Snatch the poster guy?” Second of all; how much more of a racist message could you send to the African-American community, than by ripping up a poster of an icon of the civil rights movement in this Country?

As a Conservative who is well versed in the Republican Party’s historic fight against segregation in the south; this steams me to my damn core. Anyone who has ever read my about me page, knows that I have a thing for history; and this idiot just took a fucking page from the pre-1964 civil rights right act playbook of the Democratic Party.

I may take heat for writing this, but I just do not give a damn! This asshole does not represent me, nor anyone ELSE, that I know in Conservatism! 😡

Let me be absolutely clear, I have and will continue to use this blog to speak out against identity politics and stupidity that is associated with it on the left. But this is a clear cut case of racism and it is wrong. I will speak about against that, no matter what the cost.

Update: WizBang reports that it was a volunteer who was working the event. But that does not excuse this, as it was still wrong. Hope the damn bastard does some serious time for it.

Here is the reason why I had the issue with the Paulite with the Gun

As I wrote before, people coming to Presidential events with gun is a totally wrong, here is an example:

Police said a man arrested at the scene of President Barack Obama’s visit to the city Tuesday was found to be in possession of an unlicensed loaded gun.

Richard Terry Young, 62, of 821 Ocean Blvd. in Hampton, was arrested around 9:40 a.m., hours before Obama’s arrival, and charged with the misdemeanor crimes of criminal trespass and carrying a loaded pistol without a license.

Young was found inside Portsmouth High School, where Obama later in the day held his town hall-style forum. Young was detained by the Secret Service and subsequently arrested by Portsmouth Lt. Corey MacDonald. Young was carrying a pocket knife, police said. A subsequent search of his vehicle, parked on school property, revealed a loaded hand gun, police said.

Police said Young is being investigated by the Secret Service for possible federal crimes resulting from the same series of events.

Bail was not immediately set, and Young was in the custody of Portsmouth police on Tuesday night.

As I wrote previously, coming to a Presidential event with a gun serves no purpose than to cause trouble and only serves as a distraction to the secret service. The above example is what they would be distracted from. Luckily this guy was caught. He was not within the law and his now in jail, and that my friends, is a good thing.

As I said before, I totally support the right to bear arms; with the confines of the law. This man broke those laws and will now be charged for it. As a Conservative, I believe that this is the right and proper thing, as I believe in personal responsibility.

I was going include this item in the previous posting, but it was getting a bit long, so, I thought I would make a separate posting on it.

Not only are the Socialist Liberals bringing in people on buses, and planting people in the audience at the President’s townhalls, but they are also having their people walking around with signs.

The BlogProf picks it up, and mentions Nancy Pelsoi’s idiots Nazi statement and delivers the following bombshell:

Once she said this, all of a sudden Obama as Hitler posters started popping up at townhall meetings, particularly this one at John Dingell’s townhall last Thursday:Note the black man holding up the poster. This screenshot was used in reports by the MSM who painted the protesters as Nazis. Here’s the thing, though – that black man is a Dingell supporter! Last Friday, Frank Beckmann on his show broadcast on WJR 760 AM interviewed an eyewitness that said not only were union thugs let in through a side door before anyone else was let into the venue, but that he clearly saw from his vantage point that very Obama as Hitler poster in that back hallway after the union thugs took their seats. The interview was around 11:00am, but WJR chose not to post that audio (they only tend to select one or two clips a day to post). I thought it would have been bigger news, and needed more than just that to write a post, albeit an audio clip would have partially sufficed. In any case, I’ve been scouring YouTube and the web for more info, and have finally found some. Here is one account that was posted Monday over at FreeRepublic:

A couple that were at Dingals TH meeting said there was a black man outside with a sign comparing Obama the Adolf Hitler. After the meeting ended and when everyone was leaving this same man was handing out Dingal campaign flyers.

First off, I did not watch the Obama Townhall, so, I have no bias in this story, at all. However, I do find it humorous that Obama is at the point of having to bus in supporters and use plants to get a friendly crowd, sounds like desperation to me.

A girl from Malden asked President Obama a question at Tuesday’s town hall meeting in New Hampshire about the signs outside “saying mean things” about his health care proposal.

Eleven-year-old Julia Hall asked: “How do kids know what is true, and why do people want a new system that can — that help more of us?”

The question opened the door for the president to respond to what he called an “underlying fear” among the public “that people somehow won’t get the care they need.”

The girl later told the Globe that picking the president’s brain was “incredible.”

“It was like a once in a lifetime experience,” she said.

Julia’s mother was an early Obama supporter in Massachusetts during the presidential election, so she had previously met First Lady Michelle Obama, the Obama daughters Sasha and Malia, and Vice President Joe Biden.

“This was my first time meeting Barack Obama, and he’s a very nice man,” Julia said. “I’m glad I voted for him.”

She said Obama won a mock presidential election at the Cheverus School in 2008. And on Tuesday, he approached her after the town meeting.

Kathleen Manning Hall, Julia’s mother, was shocked when her daughter said she wanted to ask a question. They wrote it down beforehand, and Julia didn’t miss a beat when Obama called on her.

I believe that this is all going to backfire in the face of Congress and the President and that his numbers are going to tank, as they are doing right now. As I have written on here before, this is all just a part of the massive overreach by this Administration. They have overreached terribly and now they are trying desperately to cover for it. The problem is, the genie is out of the bottle, the independent Americans have totally turned against this awful idea of the Congress and yes, the President. The smartest thing that the Congress and Senate can do, is kill this bill and either rethink things or just forget it. Americans are just not ready for European socialism.

AARP to President on Healthcare Plan: We Endorse the plan??? Since When?

AARP Chief Operating Officer Tom Nelson issued this statement following remarks by the President at a townhall event in New Hampshire on health care reform.

“AARP has been working with Democrats and Republicans to fix our broken health care system.

“While the President was correct that AARP will not endorse a health care reform bill that would reduce Medicare benefits, indications that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in Congress are inaccurate.

“AARP supports specific measures that would help older Americans and their families – including bipartisan proposals to create a new follow-up care benefit in Medicare that would help prevent hospital re-admissions, as well as to address the Medicare prescription drug coverage gap known as the ‘doughnut hole.’ We also support the need for lawmakers and the Administration to act this year to fix what doesn’t work in the health care system.

“We share the President’s commitment to act this year, and our members appreciate his insistence that any final reform package will not reduce Medicare benefits for the millions of people that literally depend on that program as a lifeline.

On Guns, Obama and the Right

I wanted to do a posting on this and I did not want to do the usual quoting someone else and then adding my thoughts routine. On this posting, I did want to give my complete original thought with reference links as needed. Yes, I am fully aware, as I am sure most of you are; about the idiot Ron Paul follower, who took it upon himself to bring his gun to an event that President Barack Obama was going to be attending. I have also seen the interview that this person gave to Chris Matthews at MSNBC —-which I might add, that the man handled himself very well. Being that he did not fall for the baited trap that Chris Matthews laid out for him.

However, on the subject of what actually took place here, was this man well within his Constitutional right; being he was well within the proper law to carry his gun, the answer to this question is an obvious yes. The second question is and I will answer it; is this. Was it really in the best interests of Conservative, Republicans, and yes, even libertarians and law abiding gun owners for this man to show up at a town-hall meeting where the President of the United States was going to be attending with a Firearm and a sign that says that the Government needs to be overthrown by a violent revolution? I say this as not only Conservative who believes in the right to carry a firearm. But as someone who believes in something, that is not found in this day and age of internet sound bites, called common sense — I am going to come down on that side and say that this man was totally out of line and should been removed from the area. The reason I say this is because I happen to know that our President is getting more threats on his life now, than when the previous Administration was in power.

Please, do not get me wrong, I fully believe in the right to carry and own firearms. As long as that carrying of a firearm, is well within the proper laws of that said state. However, I also believe that this man was horrible distraction to our Secret Service whose job it is to protect our President. This is the huge difference between the mainstream Conservatives and yes, Republicans, who believe in the idea of “Rule of Law” and the whole “Viva Revolution” Ron Paul crowd who believe in a so-called peaceful (Wink Wink) Revolution. The Ron Paul crowd believes that the “Rule of Law” infringes on the Constitutional rights of every American citizen. This, in the opinion of this writer, is an extremist position that is rooted in the concept on anarchy. This is the reason why I consider myself a Conservative, who leans more towards the thought process of a Republican than a libertarian one, because I believe in a moderate interpretation of the Constitution, and because I believe the concept of a rule of law.

The whole depressing aspect of this whole story is this, it simply feeds in to the socialist left’s talking points that guns promote violence and that the right are bunch of gun toting nut cases that run around waiting for a chance to shoot the President. Which I happen to know is bunch of nonsense as does anyone else who has a half of a brain. This is why I happen to believe that the Republican Party and generally Conservatives as a whole need to articulate a clear distinction, between the Constitutional extremists of the “Ron Paul” crowd and those of us who do not subscribe to that sort of a mindset.

Washington, DC — Today, FreedomWorks released an apology to leftist political organizations, including MoveOn.org, the Democratic National Committee, the AFL-CIO, and ACORN for our apparent ignorance of the fine art of political discourse.

FreedomWorks’ August Recess Call to Action encouraged grassroots citizens to attend Congressional town hall meetings and listening sessions. We asked everyone to voice their opinions and communicate their opposition to the President’s proposed hostile takeover of the American health care system. Apparently, the very act of showing up and having an opinion is, in effect, to act like a “thug.” Opposing President Obama’s policy agenda on health care is, in and of itself, unacceptable, and has no place in our democracy. Bottom line: it’s “disgusting,” according to our friends on the left.

We didn’t know this. Evidently, we also didn’t know best practices in a respectful, dignified policy debate, but our leftist friends were kind enough to “take FreedomWorks to school”, so to speak.

Specifically, “school” included phone call blitzes from MoveOn.org and the AFL-CIO that jammed FreedomWorks phone lines and filled up staff voice mail boxes. Callers’ consistently used profanity, vulgarity, ever-popular references to “Nazis” and “brown-shirters,” racial slurs targeting an African-American staffer, and even veiled threats of violence and bodily harm.

Now we know how an intelligent political debate unfolds. Thank You!

White House Whines about Ad about Healthy School Lunches, Because it mentions the Presidents Daughters

Seems that President Prissy Fragile Heart is whining about his kids, again. Whom he has PIMPED out in this past election:

The posters went up last week, 14 in Union Station. On each of the large displays, a thought bubble rises up from a picture of a beautiful 8-year-old: “President Obama’s daughters get healthy school lunches. Why don’t I?”

A Washington nonprofit that advocates nutrition-policy reform paid $20,000 to get its message across and carefully maneuvered Metro’s tangle of regulations to display its posters. Metro gave it a go — but the White House did not, according to the group. Within 24 hours of the signs’ appearance, the White House asked the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine to take down the ads, which feature Jasmine Messiah, a vegetarian who attends a Miami-Dade County public school that, she says, offers no vegetarian or vegan lunch options.

The Physicians Committee has declined to take down the posters.

A sister of President John F. Kennedy and Senators Robert F. Kennedy and Edward M. Kennedy and the mother-in-law of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, Mrs. Shriver never held elective office. Yet she was no stranger to Capitol Hill, and some view her work on behalf of the developmentally challenged, including the founding of the Special Olympics, as the most lasting of the Kennedy family’s contributions.

“When the full judgment of the Kennedy legacy is made — including J.F.K.’s Peace Corps and Alliance for Progress, Robert Kennedy’s passion for civil rights and Ted Kennedy’s efforts on health care, workplace reform and refugees — the changes wrought by Eunice Shriver may well be seen as the most consequential,” U.S. News and World Report said in its cover story of Nov. 15, 1993.

Edward Kennedy said in an interview in October 2007: “You talk about an agent of change — she is it. If the test is what you’re doing that’s been helpful for humanity, you’d be hard pressed to find another member of the family who’s done more.”

Among the awards Mrs. Shriver received for her work on behalf of people with intellectual disabilities are the Legion of Honor, the Prix de la Couronne Française, the Albert Lasker Public Service Award, the National Recreation and Park Association National Voluntary

Service Award and the Order of the Smile of Polish Children. She was also made a dame of the Papal Order of St. Gregory. On Nov. 16, 2007, she was honored with a personal tribute at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston, with many Kennedy family members present.

In 1984 President Ronald Reagan awarded Mrs. Shriver the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.

In an interview with CBS News in 2004, Mrs. Shriver’s son Robert said: “My mom never ran for office, and she changed the world. Period. End of story.”

She was a kind-hearted person who supported her Democrat-dominated family for decades, and even though she was a Democrat herself, she and her husband both were pro-life, and during the first presidential campaign of then-Governor Bill Clinton, she – along with several other prominent pro-life Democrats, signed a letter than was published in the NYT protesting the Democratic party’s pro-choice platform.

Let me simple add something. As much as I despise the current state of the Democratic Party’s far left socialism; As a nephew of the developmentally disabled (AKA Mentally retarded) aunt, I can appreciate what this woman has done.

May her legacy be carried on for as long as this world may exist.
