So much for that…

I had to kill the Nice theme I had, for some reason the comments button stopped working. I think one of my widgets was causing an issue. I found a nice template, but it was causing errors. So….

I gotta find a new theme or something here.

So, while I’m hunting, you’ll have to look at the default theme. 😛

I know, it sucks. But for now, it will have to do. 😀

BlogAds is an Anti-Conservative Owned Business

I haven’t had a good fight in a while, so, I decided to bring something up on this Blog.

Many of you know, that I use BlogAds on this Blog for Advertising. You’ll also notice that not many people have used the service for their advertising needs. I think I might have an idea why.

I was nosing around over on the official BlogsAds Blog and quite frankly, I was quite horrified to what is on that “Company Blog“. There is a great deal of Anti-Conservative, Pro-Obama screed over their Blog.

You can see examples of what I am referring to by going Here, Here, Here and Here.

What I find utterly amazing is the fact that Conservatives even use this service at all. I mean, I am part of the Conservative Hive on BlogAds.

My question is this, how is it, that Conservatives are using a Blog Advertising service who’s owner, (I presume that is who wrote those entries) partakes in the bashing the Republican Party and Conservative values in General?

Quite frankly, I’m sickened by what I read over on that Blog, the owner of BlogAds ought to ashamed of himself and should either remove the postings of Political Nature or close the business down, or at best only accept Liberal Advertising, because quite frankly, taking the money of Conservatives and bashing them on a Company website or Blog is totally hypocritical in this writers opinion.

I am almost sure that the owner of Blogads will most likely delete my account, as a result of bringing this to light. I am sure I will see an e-mail shortly tell me to get lost. But I will not pull this entry. Business owners who partake in this sort of Anti-Conservative rhetoric ought to be exposed and ran out of business.

The Late Night Music Express with……….The Pelfrys

One of my favorite Gospel songs. (I’m not a Southern Gospel freak, but this one touches me a special way.)

Lyrics:

I Shall Return
Words by: Clint Kerns

VERSE 1:
In a far eastern country a great general stood in tears
As he sadly watched his men face defeat
He bravely fought the battle though it seemed it was in vain
But for now all he could do was retreat
But just as he was leaving, he turned and one last time
Looked and saw the fear in their eyes
With a voice as loud as thunder calmly reassuring
He made them this promise and saluted them goodbye

CHORUS 1:
I shall return, with reinforcements
I shall return, from a distant shore
March in victory, stand triumphant
I shall return, we’ll win this war

VERSE 2:
In a middle eastern country there on the mountain side
The greatest general was about to go away
You see His men had watched Him give His life on a cruel cross He died
But He conquered death and hell in just three days
But now that He was leaving fear had griped their hearts
For they knew the time had come to say goodbye
But before he ascended back to His Father
He made them this promise as He rose up through sky

CHORUS 2:
I shall return, with a shout of victory
I shall return, with those gone before
Keep marching onward, stand triumphant
I shall return, we’ve won the war

TAG:
Weary soldier keep your courage though the enemy assails
Keep marching toward the finish for Jesus will prevail

REPEAT CHORUS 2

Memo to America: Michigan Winters Suck!

I have been reading with mild amusement and slight concern about some other Bloggers adventures in dealing with the wonderful white stuff in the cold north that we call snow.

Yeah, I know, I linked to Ed, even if he did insult my dad. 😡  But it’s a new year, and I am not one to hold a grudge for long.

Anyhow, I just got back in from driving around the corner to get some hamburger buns for supper; I might be a recovering liberal, but I like my beefy hamburgers. Anyhow, I was out there, let there be no misunderstanding; it is freaking COLD here in Michigan! (Currently 14 Degrees!)  My Dad, whom has a heart of pure gold; (although he drive me nuts at times!) let me borrow his big coat and gloves, I wore my trusty dusty, Handy Dandy, Chevrolet cap on the ol’ bean. I looked like the Great Nanook of the North out there! 😆

Anyhow, I did have a bit of misfortune. I was trying to release my windshield wiper from my frozen windshield with my ice scraper, so, the wipers would work, and prompty broke the stupid thing. Smooth move there. 🙄

Thankfully, the wiper was on the passenger side of the car. I did make it around the corner, and got said buns, and got my rather frozen hairy behind back in the warm house.

Al Gore can kiss my rather obese, hairy, happy-go-lucky, white behind! Next time I hear a damn Moonbat liberal opining about Global Warming, I’m just gonna pop him in the mouth. Come live in Michigan right and talk that idiot crap. I dare ya.

It’s going to be one long winter season, and I’m already tired of it. Oy!

The Obligatory Hillary Clinton “intervened in government issues directly affecting companies and others that later contributed to her husband’s foundation” Posting

Seriously, why is anyone even remotely suprised by this?

Via AP:

Secretary of State appointee Hillary Rodham Clinton intervened at least six times in government issues directly affecting companies and others that later contributed to her husband’s foundation, an Associated Press review of her official correspondence found.

The overlap of names on former President Bill Clinton’s foundation donor list and business interests whose issues she championed raises new questions about potential ethics conflicts between her official actions and her husband’s fundraising. The AP obtained three of the senator’s government letters under the Freedom of Information Act.

Clinton was to begin her confirmation hearing Tuesday before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Under an agreement with President-elect Barack Obama, Bill Clinton recently released the names of donors to his foundation, a nonprofit that has raised at least $492 million — including millions from foreign governments — to fund his library in Little Rock, Ark., and charitable efforts worldwide on such issues as AIDS, poverty and climate change.

The letters and donations involve pharmaceutical companies and telecommunications and energy interests. An aide to the senator said she made no secret of her involvement in many of the issues. Bill Clinton’s foundation declined to say when it received the donations or precisely how much was contributed.

I mean, after all, we are talking the Clinton’s here. Democratic ties to corruption and lobbyists; especially among the Clinton’s and other well-heeled Democratic figures goes all the way back the Kennedy era. I know, Obama promised change, and with Hillary we did not get it. One must remember though, if she’s not seated, Obama could lose his popularity among Hillary’s supporters.

Still it would be quite juvenile of me not to observe that this does represent a “walk back” of the mantra of hope and change that Obama promised during the campaign. The Clinton defeat was supposed to represent a defeat of the old Clinton guard within the Democratic Party. So much for that little bit of drama. 🙄

I’ve written it here a great number of times, but I believe it to be quite true, it is going to be a very interesting four to eight years in politics. 😀

Guest Voice: An Unreflective Man By Patrick J. Buchanan

An Unreflective Man
By Patrick J. Buchanan
January 13, 2009

With his public approval where Harry Truman’s stood when he left office, George W. Bush gave his last press conference yesterday.

And like that predecessor he often identifies with, Bush showed a Trumanesque defiance of his critics — and a Trumanesque failure to understand what ruined his presidency.

He denounced protectionism, as he has with dismissive contempt since he went to New Hampshire a decade ago. But nowhere in his defense of free trade was there any explanation for how Middle America lost 3 million manufacturing jobs in his first term and a million more in the last year.

Nowhere does there seem an awareness that the ideas he absorbed at his father’s knee and the Harvard Business School had resulted in the de-industrialization of his country, an enormous and growing dependency on Japan, China and Asia for the essentials of our national life, and, now, for the borrowed money to pay for them.

Someone once defined tragedy as what happens when a beautiful theory collides with a fact. And this is what has happened every time a great empire — be it the Spanish, British or American — embraced free trade as its salvation.

President Bush says it was freedom that prevailed when he rejected the pleas of weak-sister Republicans and backed the surge. But what spared us a debacle in Iraq was an infusion of 30,000 combat troops, an uprising against the murderers of al-Qaida and a U.S. decision to buy off the Sunni tribes, a strategy besieged empires have pursued for centuries.

Nor does there appear in Bush’s self-assurance any awareness of the cost of his Freedom Agenda. In Iraq, it is 4,000 U.S. dead, 30,000 wounded, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi dead, millions of refugees, a pogrom against an ancient Christian community, and a strategic victory for Iran and its Shia allies across the Middle East. When last heard from, the Ayatollah Sistani — the chief Shia cleric in  Iraq, who has welcomed Iranian but not American visitors — was calling for Muslims to stand up against Israeli criminality in Gaza.

Like Woodrow Wilson before him, Bush appears to believe that the nobility of his goals — expanding freedom and bringing an end to tyranny in our world — validates and will sanctify his decisions.

Like Wilson, he is a utopian. He fails to understand that idealism has its delusions and disasters.

The war Wilson led us into “to make the world safe for democracy” gave us Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and 70 years of the most barbaric empire in all history. The peace Wilson brought home led straight to Adolf Hitler, the Third Reich and a second world war far worse than the first.

The West’s road to hell has been paved with good intentions.

President Bush rightly denounces Europeans who see Israel as always wrong. Yet he behaves as though Israel can do no wrong. Sixteen days into the Gaza war, with the Palestinian dead and wounded near 5,000, and a humanitarian catastrophe at hand, has our “compassionate conservative” president uttered one word of compassion for those whose losses outnumber the Israelis’ 100 to one?

In defending his rejected immigration reform, President Bush clearly sees himself as in the vanguard of decency, and admonishes his party against being perceived as anti-immigrant.

But is this president oblivious to what is happening in his country  because of his and his father’s failure to secure the border? Even in rich, liberal Montgomery County, Md., one reads over the weekend that there is a hardening of attitudes toward illegal immigration after a spate of crimes and killings. Working-class Americans pay the price of the idealism around the dinner table at the Crawford ranch.

In his first five years, Bush himself has admitted, 6 million aliens were arrested at the border, breaking into this country. One in 12 — 500,000 — had criminal records. Is it anti-immigrant to demand a halt to this invasion, even if it means troops on the border? Is it truly compassionate, or an act of cravenness, to insist that the answer is amnesty for 12 million to 20 million illegals and absolution for the businesses that hired them?

Choleric and cocky Harry Truman may be Bush’s role model. But it was Dwight D. Eisenhower who had to clean up the mess Harry left behind.

Six months into office, Ike had ended the Korean War. He had the courage no president has since shown to tell the Israelis they must get off occupied land. They did.

While surely repelled by Nikita Khrushchev, especially for the Hungarian bloodbath of 1956, Ike had him up to Camp David in 1959 because, wicked as the Bolsheviks were, they had nuclear weapons, and one must talk to them.

Prudence is the mark of the true conservative. Ike and RonaldReagan had it. Neither Bush nor Truman did. And that is why the former left the country so much better off than did the latter.

Goodbye, Mr. President, and God bless.

Obama to close Gitmo?

Will someone please tell Barry to make up his flippin’ mind already?

Via the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Advisers to President-elect Barack Obama say one of his first duties in office will be to order the closing of the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay.

That executive order is expected during Obama’s first week on the job — and possibly on his first day, according to two transition team advisers. Both spoke Monday on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

Obama’s order will direct his administration to figure out what to do with the estimated 250 al-Qaida and Taliban suspects and potential witnesses who are being held at Guantanamo.

It’s still unlikely the prison would be closed any time soon. Obama last weekend said it would be “a challenge” to close it even within the first 100 days of his administration.

I guess this might have been due to the pushback he got from the statement on the weekend. Either way, it’s a stupid idea. But then again, we are dealing with Liberals here. 🙄

Quote of the Day

The trouble is that the U.S. government will not go all the way while prosecuting Madoff. Uncle Sam would if there were pension funds involved, but going to bat for some rich white Europeans is not Sam’s habit. Obviously Madoff has hidden assets, perhaps in the billions, and most of his feeder fund managers have money, too. I don’t see any of them wearing striped pyjamas any time soon. Smart lawyers, the best money can buy, will defend them against underpaid government mouthpieces. The leading players so far have maintained a stony silence, making sure to avoid any kind of apology or statement of responsibility. Villehuchet’s suicide is probably seen as a dumb act by the Madoffs, Picciottos, Piedrahitas, Toubs and Noels of this world. It’s going to be an interesting Gstaad season, to say the least.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck goes to the White House

This is kind of a cool story.

Video #1 (via Breit Bart)

…and here is Hasselbeck on “The View” talking about her experience: (Via ABC News’s Political Radar)

Exit Question: Will people like her be Welcomed like this in a Obama White House?

One Tough Lady!

Bravo to the fine lady here!

The Video via Breit Bart:

Back story via WBST-TV:

SOUTH BEND — A 70-year-old woman remained hospitalized Monday evening following a harrowing sequence of events that included her holding at gunpoint a man who crashed through her living room window.

“I’m feeling better than I did yesterday,” Sandra, who asked that her last name not be used, said from her room at Memorial Hospital, where doctors were treating her for chest pains. “My heart didn’t react too well to this.”

Sandra, who lives on Portage Road just south of Auten Road in northern St. Joseph County, said she was fetching wood from her garage about 9 p.m. Sunday when she heard what sounded like several people fighting in the street.

“I had put wood for the fireplace in the wheelbarrow and was coming in when I heard a lot of shouting and loud voices,” she said. “I looked over into the road to see what was going on, and about that time a guy comes running around the house.”

Sandra said she ran inside and locked the door behind her. She then grabbed her gun and dialed 911, she said.

All the while, the man circled the house, she said, pounding on all of the windows. When he reached the living room window, he crashed through, taking out the television and landing on the floor.

In the 911 tape released by St. Joseph County police, Sandra screams and then yells at the man, “You stay right where you’re at.”

After telling the dispatcher what had happened, Sandra said she dropped the phone and confronted the man. She trained the gun on him, she said, and told him not to move. He took a step forward, she said, and she issued a final warning: “If you come any closer, you’re going to be dead.”

She then told him to lie on the floor and he complied.

“He was begging for his life,” she said. “He just collapsed on the floor and went into the fetal position.

I have to hand it to this lady here, she showed no fear and used her Consitutional right to defend herself. Good on her! Wish there were more like her! 😀

Of course the far lefty liberals would call her a hater and would want to take her guns. Obama will see to that.  😡

The Painfully Obligatory, Cat in the Hen House sounding, Ann Coulter does The View video posting (Whew!)

I’m posting this, because it will most likely get me hits here. (I’m such a Blog hit whore)

I haven’t watched this, except for the excerpt on Keith’s show earlier. I couldn’t bear it, nothing annoys me more than listening to a bunch of harpy broads arguing. (Don’t look at me like that, you know I am damned right. (About the broads, not my politics…) )

Anyhow, Here you are:

Here is my offical Political Byline political opinion on Coulter doing “The View”:

Ann Coulter going on The View to pimp her book, makes about as much sense as a cat going into a pen of Pitbulls and expecting an audience. I mean, the pitbull’s don’t give a crap about what that cat is going to say, they just want to eat him for lunch! Likewise, Coulter going on “The View” is about as dumb; those women do not give a crap about what Ann Coulter thinks, they just wanted to jump her butt because she’s a lightening rod Conservative harpy.

I can understand the desire to sell her book, but cripes does she have to run in front of a damned amtrack to do so?

….and in a blatant attempt at bastardy Capitalism, here’s Ann’s book via Amazon:

The Obligatory Obama has a Socialist Communist in his Cabinet

The only reason I am blogging about this, because I happen to think it is that silly.

Via Washington Times:

Until last week, Carol M. Browner, President-elect Barack Obama’s pick as global warming czar, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for “global governance” and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.

By Thursday, Mrs. Browner’s name and biography had been removed from Socialist International’s Web page, though a photo of her speaking June 30 to the group’s congress in Greece was still available.

Socialist International, an umbrella group for many of the world’s social democratic political parties such as Britain’s Labor Party, says it supports socialism and is harshly critical of U.S. policies.

The group’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society, the organization’s action arm on climate change, says the developed world must reduce consumption and commit to binding and punitive limits on greenhouse gas emissions.

Mr. Obama, who has said action on climate change would be a priority in his administration, tapped Mrs. Browner last month to fill a new position as White House coordinator of climate and energy policies. The appointment does not need Senate confirmation.

Mr. Obama’s transition team said Mrs. Browner’s membership in the organization is not a problem and that it brings experience in U.S. policymaking to her new role.

Here why that I think that the Republicans  are making too big of a deal about this.  The Republican Bloggers are making a huge deal about this and it’s stupid; they had a chance to run a candidate that represented a clean break from the Neo-Conservative polices of George W. Bush. They failed miserably. Because of this, we ended up with a Socialist President. Way I see it, the Republicans do not have a dimes worth of bitching rights at all.

Grade Student Offers Up Virgin Hoochie for $3.7 Million Dollars

Seriously.  😀

Natalie Dylan, 22

Natalie Dylan, 22

Natalie Dylan, 22, claims her offer of a one-night stand has persuaded 10,000 men to bid for sex with her.

Last September, when her auction came to light, she had received bids up to £162,000 ($243,000) but since then interest in her has rocketed.

The student who has a degree in Women’s Studies insisted she was not demeaning herself.

Miss Dylan, from San Diego, California, USA, said she was persuaded to offer herself to the highest bidder after her sister Avia, 23, paid for her own degree after working as a prostitute for three weeks.

She said she had had a lot of attention from a wide range of men, including “weirdos”, “those who get really graphically sexual about what they want to do to me” and “lots of polite requests from rich businessmen”.

Miss Dylan said she did not think it was particularly significant to be willing to sell your virginity and insisted that she was happy to undergo medical tests for any doubters.

She said: “I get some men who are obviously looking for a girlfriend but I try and make it clear that this is a one-night-only offer.

“I know that a lot of people will condemn me for this because it’s so taboo but I really don’t have a problem with that.

“My study is completely authentic in that I truly am auctioning my virginity but I am not being sold into this. I’m not being taken advantage of in any way.

“I think me and the person I do it with will both profit greatly from the deal.”

She added: “It’s shocking that men will pay so much for someone’s virginity, which isn’t even prized so highly anymore.”

I must confess, I’d hit it. 😛

On the other hand, $3.7 million for just one night? Little steep for one night!

Racist Anti-Semite Website Names Barack Obama Top 50 Loathsome People

It seems that the infamous Buffalo Beast is back in the news again. It seems that the website, named President Elect Barack Obama one of the top 50 most loathsome people.

I thought I would bring this back up again, because it warrants a reminder. This website is owned by a racist Anti-Semite by the name of Paul Fallon. This website also wrote a rather nasty screed by the title of “Fuck the Troops”, which prompted a rather angry response by myself. Which to this day, I feel no remorse for plastering this son of a bitch’s address, Phone number and personal email address on my other blog for the world to see.

Of course, when this little Anti-Semite asshole started feeling the heat, he proceeded to e-mail me and accuse me of being a Jew. (of course) Of which, I am not, I am of Southern Heritage. But just the same, whenever someone sticks up for the Military or supports Israel we’re automatically accused by people like Fallon, of being a Jew. He’s a real prize that Paul Fallon.

Some of us have not forgotten Paul, don’t think because Bush is out of office and Democrats are now in power that you’re now going to get a free pass, because you’re not, as long as I have a Blog and you publish something that makes the Meme trackers, I will continue to warn everyone of your Anti-Semitic ways and your hatred of the United States Military, who puts it’s ass on the line so haters like you can be free.

Just a little example of his screed, this is from an e-mail from him:

Douche-bag Jew fags like you can’t even get into verbal fights. Fuck you and the troops.

I am all for freedom of speech, but hatred of that sort has no place in America or even in the Mainstream. As long as people like Paul Fallon are around, people like me, who will continually expose him for the hater that he is.

Now, Paul, do the American people a favor and crawl back in the damned hole you dug for yourself and Go away.

Update: Here’s the morons blog posting on the reactions to the “F the troops” article. In typical liberal fashion, when confronted, the liberal plays the victim. So typical. 🙄

Update #2: Welcome to all the readers of Tbogg and also Firedoglake! People of different political backgrounds are welcomed here, and also welcomed to comment. As long as it’s respectful and not of trollish nature. As you can see, if you read the site, I am not a Bush loving Neo-Con, I am a Independent Paleo or Traditional Conservative, with a twist of Libertarian mindset. Feel free to look around and drop a donation if you can… and for what it’s worth, I would love to play poker with Jane Hamsher, Cause I happen to think that she’s pretty damned hot! Woo Hoo! Bush’s Last Presser

I watched part of it. But I found it painful to watch. Obviously the man is not much of a public speaker. Here he does a bunch of Monday morning quarterbacking and just some plain ol’ “Oops! I made a few mistakes”. Still it is an end of an era. (Thank God!) However, I will be the first to admit, I will not miss the man, at all. I’m just glad it is over, finally!

The Video:

I also noticed he mentioned that he had made some mistakes; Mission Accomplished, Social Security Reform, which thankfully did not happen, seeing how the markets went. He did however continue to defend his terrible handling of Katrina:

Bush defended his widely-criticized decision not to visit Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.

Bush said that if he “landed Air Force One in New Orleans or Baton Rouge” shortly after the hurricane, “law enforcement would have been pulled away from the mission.” The media, Bush claimed, would have then asked how he could have “possibly have flown Air Force One into Baton Rouge” when “police officers that were needed to expedite traffic out of New Orleans were taken off the task to look after you?

Of course, that was not the issue, the issue is how long it took to get supplies down there and how it took to get the people out of that Sports Arena down there. To this day he does not see that. Also it was the fact of how it seemed no one was in charge. Not that I am surprised. As they say, you can’t fix stupid. I also noticed that he never did acknowledge that Iraq was a major misstep, but then again, we are dealing with an Neo-Conservative here, one can only expect so much.

I’m just glad not to have to write about the bastard any longer. Tongue

Update: I just realized that I made a rather humorous grammar error. I changed the “was” to an “is” in the first paragraph. Ha! Wishful thinking or Freudian slip! Ooops!

shocka!: Obama walks back closing Gitmo

Obama was on This Week With George Stephanopoulos and told him the following:

President-elect Barack Obama said this weekend that he does not expect to close Guantanamo Bay in his first 100 days in office.

“I think it’s going to take some time and our legal teams are working in consultation with our national security apparatus as we speak to help design exactly what we need to do,” Obama said in an exclusive “This Week” interview with George Stephanopoulos, his first since arriving in Washington.

“It is more difficult than I think a lot of people realize,” the president-elect explained. “Part of the challenge that you have is that you have a bunch of folks that have been detained, many of whom may be very dangerous who have not been put on trial or have not gone through some adjudication. And some of the evidence against them may be tainted even though it’s true. And so how to balance creating a process that adheres to rule of law, habeas corpus, basic principles of Anglo-American legal system, by doing it in a way that doesn’t result in releasing people who are intent on blowing us up.”

But Obama said unequivocally that it will close. “I don’t want to be ambiguous about this. We are going to close Guantanamo and we are going to make sure that the procedures we set up are ones that abide by our Constitution. That is not only the right thing to do but it actually has to be part of our broader national security strategy because we will send a message to the world that we are serious about our values.”

Talk about walking a campaign promise back. WOW! 😮

Of course, because he’s the Obamassiah, it’s just fine.

Liberal Heads exploding and calling for his impeachment in 5…..4……3…..2…..

Update:  Wait a second here! “Anglo-American Legal system’? What the hell is this asshole trying to say? Because America was founded by White people, and because we happen to have laws against murder, that this makes us a racist Nation? Man, for someone who did not run a Campaign based upon race, Obama sure does like to remind people that American is a “Anglo Saxon”. Race Baiting tool. 🙄

Note Worthy Article

The John Birch Society writes a note worthy article on Loen Panetta.

Quotable Quote:

Even the most unbiased of observers may legitimately ask: Why on Earth is an individual who helped negotiate the turnover of the Long Beach Naval Shipyard to the communist Chinese, thereby creating the threat to U.S. national security described in the Washington Times article by Rowan Scarborough and inserted into the Congressional Record by Rep. Solomon, being considered for a top position at one of our nation’s most critical intelligence agencies?

Notice that Scarborough observed: “The Clinton administration seems to be going out of its way to help the most serious threat to American security, the so-called People’s Republic of China.”

With so many Clinton administration staffers — including Leon Panetta — being recycled by Mr. Obama, can this administration be any different?

Indeed the answer there is; No.

While millions of people tap into Google without considering the environment, a typical search generates about 7g of CO2 Boiling a kettle generates about 15g. “Google operates huge data centres around the world that consume a great deal of power,” said Alex Wissner-Gross, a Harvard University physicist whose research on the environmental impact of computing is due out soon. “A Google search has a definite environmental impact.”

Calling Al Gore!

Fausta Weighs in here:

I won’t dare calculate how much methane the hyphenated physicist emitted while doing his study but considering that my yard has over a dozen trees, I’m willing to bet my carbon offset is bigger than his.

Now excuse me while I Google, watch a few YouTubes, have some kippers for breakfast and start the tea kettle.

I’m right behind you Fausta. (well, not really! SurpriseTongueWinking) This is about as silly as the Sea Kittens stupidity that I REFUSED to Blog about, for it’s utter stupidity.

Yeah, I’m off to do a couple good Google searches, just to piss off the Liberals. Devil

Spotted over at Pamela Gillard’s Atlas Shrugs:

What the asshat elect does not understand is Bush is iconic for America. The flying shoe was directed at America – our man, our President – the choice (in the last clean election in American history).

Um, that is certainly debatable, even among libertarians…..Now who is the asshat? I think the answer is quite clear here.

No wonder this feckless bitch has been discredited among her own Conservative circles.

US Rejects Aid to Israeli Raid on Iranian Nuke Site

This is quite the interesting read.

Via the NYT:

President Bush deflected a secret request by Israel last year for specialized bunker-busting bombs it wanted for an attack on Iran’s main nuclear complex and told the Israelis that he had authorized new covert action intended to sabotage Iran’s suspected effort to develop nuclear weapons, according to senior American and foreign officials.

White House officials never conclusively determined whether Israel had decided to go ahead with the strike before the United States protested, or whether Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel was trying to goad the White House into more decisive action before Mr. Bush left office. But the Bush administration was particularly alarmed by an Israeli request to fly over Iraq to reach Iran’s major nuclear complex at Natanz, where the country’s only known uranium enrichment plant is located.

The White House denied that request outright, American officials said, and the Israelis backed off their plans, at least temporarily. But the tense exchanges also prompted the White House to step up intelligence-sharing with Israel and brief Israeli officials on new American efforts to subtly sabotage Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, a major covert program that Mr. Bush is about to hand off to President-elect Barack Obama.

This account of the expanded American covert program and the Bush administration’s efforts to dissuade Israel from an aerial attack on Iran emerged in interviews over the past 15 months with current and former American officials, outside experts, international nuclear inspectors and European and Israeli officials. None would speak on the record because of the great secrecy surrounding the intelligence developed on Iran.

For some reason or another, I feel like the New York Times has just sold the United States right to secrecy up the river by revealing this. But on the other hand, I can see why Bush would do something like this. Bush was already mired in the war in Iraq. He knew our presence in Iraq was already causing tension in the middle east and knew also that sending these sort of bombs over to Israel to be used in Iran would just add to that tension. I give Bush a point here, he may have just done the right thing, but just telling Israel “no go” on these type of weapons. As it could have caused more problems that it might have fixed.

The interviews also indicate that Mr. Bush was convinced by top administration officials, led by Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, that any overt attack on Iran would probably prove ineffective, lead to the expulsion of international inspectors and drive Iran’s nuclear effort further out of view. Mr. Bush and his aides also discussed the possibility that an airstrike could ignite a broad Middle East war in which America’s 140,000 troops in Iraq would inevitably become involved.

Instead, Mr. Bush embraced more intensive covert operations actions aimed at Iran, the interviews show, having concluded that the sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies were failing to slow the uranium enrichment efforts. Those covert operations, and the question of whether Israel will settle for something less than a conventional attack on Iran, pose immediate and wrenching decisions for Mr. Obama.

The covert American program, started in early 2008, includes renewed American efforts to penetrate Iran’s nuclear supply chain abroad, along with new efforts, some of them experimental, to undermine electrical systems, computer systems and other networks on which Iran relies. It is aimed at delaying the day that Iran can produce the weapons-grade fuel and designs it needs to produce a workable nuclear weapon.

Knowledge of the program has been closely held, yet inside the Bush administration some officials are skeptical about its chances of success, arguing that past efforts to undermine Iran’s nuclear program have been detected by the Iranians and have only delayed, not derailed, their drive to unlock the secrets of uranium enrichment.

[…]

Early in his presidency, Mr. Obama must decide whether the covert actions begun by Mr. Bush are worth the risks of disrupting what he has pledged will be a more active diplomatic effort to engage with Iran.

Either course could carry risks for Mr. Obama. An inherited intelligence or military mission that went wrong could backfire, as happened to President Kennedy with the Bay of Pigs operation in Cuba. But a decision to pull back on operations aimed at Iran could leave Mr. Obama vulnerable to charges that he is allowing Iran to speed ahead toward a nuclear capacity, one that could change the contours of power in the Middle East.

Which proves what I have said time and again, our Government is not stupid, we know what we can get away with and what we cannot. Bush was not going to send our troops into a bloodbath. So, I give Bush credit here, he averted a major problem. However, I do see that Obama is going to have his work cut out for him in the White House. Iran is not going to go away quietly. If anything, with the gas market collapsing, Iran might just get a bit worse during Obama tenure. I just hope that, unlike Kennedy; Obama makes the right call on this issues, because if he does not, The United States could have some serious problems on its hands.

I strongly encourage you to go over to the NYT and read the rest of that report. It is quite the interesting read. Some would take away from it, that Bush was showing deference to the Arabs, but I think that it is much more than just that; in the sense that Bush knew that he would be getting in over his head. This is why he refused the Israelis permission to do flyovers and target Iranian targets.

Which proves what I’ve believed all along

Israel Matzav observes the following:

The Lebanese blog Ouwet, which describes itself as "personal views and opinions of Lebanese forces members," castigates Hamas for using ‘holy mosques’ to store weapons.

Hamas, the Islamist Movement, is hidding weapons in a mosque. How truly “Muslim” of them !

Now i ask you : What do you expect the IDF to do ?

Good question.

This proves what I’ve believed all along, that Muslims, when cornered, cannot fight a war honorably. They resort to human shields and underhanded tactics of this sort. This stuff dates back to the times of the Old Testament in the Bible. When Israel fought in the wilderness against it’s enemies.

Nothing ever changes, perhaps the name of the terrorist organization maybe, but it is the same mentality.

Here’s hoping that the IDF blows these bastards off the map. Devil

Quote of the Day

The fact that there does not appear to be a single Republican leader who is capable or ready to challenge the assertion that “only government” can put our sputtering economy back on track shows we need a rebirth of the Republican Party. And that this rebirth must come from the grass roots.
