Breaking News: FISA Deal Reached

Many of the Blogging Media outlets are reporting that a deal on FISA has been reached.

Most of the left is pissed, saying that it’s the same law that was rejected before. The Right seems to be pleased.

Should be interesting, to say the least.

Obama Passes on Campaign Financing, Republican’s heads explode.

Click here to read all about it.

My reaction?

It can be summed up in 3 words….

Big Honking Deal!

John McCain is going to get his Anus handed to him on a silver platter come November, so, this, is not going to matter, to the General Public at all.

So, while principles are very important, being separated from George W. Bush and a new Direction in Iraq, A New direction for our Nations economy is much, much, more important than this.

Watch the Liberal Commies run with this story….

Here’s your Anti-Capitalist, Liberal commie headline for today….

Quote:

Four Western oil companies are in the final stages of negotiations this month on contracts that will return them to Iraq, 36 years after losing their oil concession to nationalization as Saddam Hussein rose to power.

Exxon Mobil, Shell, Total and BP — the original partners in the Iraq Petroleum Company — along with Chevron and a number of smaller oil companies, are in talks with Iraq’s Oil Ministry for no-bid contracts to service Iraq’s largest fields, according to ministry officials, oil company officials and an American diplomat.

The deals, expected to be announced on June 30, will lay the foundation for the first commercial work for the major companies in Iraq since the American invasion, and open a new and potentially lucrative country for their operations.

The no-bid contracts are unusual for the industry, and the offers prevailed over others by more than 40 companies, including companies in Russia, China and India. The contracts, which would run for one to two years and are relatively small by industry standards, would nonetheless give the companies an advantage in bidding on future contracts in a country that many experts consider to be the best hope for a large-scale increase in oil production. –Deals With Iraq Are Set to Bring Oil Giants Back – NYTimes.com

When I first read it, I thought…”So?” and then here’s the Moonbat line in the story:

There was suspicion among many in the Arab world and among parts of the American public that the United States had gone to war in Iraq precisely to secure the oil wealth these contracts seek to extract. The Bush administration has said that the war was necessary to combat terrorism. It is not clear what role the United States played in awarding the contracts; there are still American advisers to Iraq’s Oil Ministry.

Nice Accusation, with, of course, Zero Proof.

This should be interesting to watch, and watch the Liberal Democrat use this an excuse to Nationalize the United States oil industry.

400-Billion Barrel Bakken Oil Field a ‘Myth’, says USGS

As rule, I do not publish much from Cybercast News Service, because they are a Conservative Propaganda outfit, and not a hard news organization.  But I thought this one was quite interesting.

Because I blog about Conservative-related issues, I am signed up with NewsMax, which is owned by Conservative tycoon, Rupert Murdoch. I was constantly getting these advertisements for some big oil in Montana and North Dakota that was worth investing into.

Well, turns out, that little pipedream, is just that, A pipedream

The Cybercast News Service Reports:

Reports circulating on the Internet tell of an oil field spanning parts of western North Dakota and eastern Montana where 400 billion barrels of oil supposedly are just waiting to be tapped. However, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) tells Cybercast News Service that those huge estimates are "a myth."

A USGS report issued in April estimates that there are between 3 billion to 4.3 billion barrels of oil in what is referred to as "the Bakken Formation" — well below the 400 billion barrels discussed on the Web, but up from the previous estimate of 151 million barrels made in 1995.

Richard Pollastro, Bakken Formation task leader at the USGS, said the myth stems from a 1999 draft report — never published — by a now-deceased USGS employee, Leigh Price. Price estimated that the Bakken Formation holds up to 400 billion barrels of oil. To put that in perspective, Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil producer, has about 260 billion barrels of known oil reserves.

Price, however, died in 2000, before his study could be peer-reviewed and published, and the Bakken Formation became the fool’s gold of the oil industry.

"Unfortunately, in many instances, we are still trying to explain and defend our assessment versus the inappropriate and irresponsible posting of Dr. Price’s ‘draft report,’" Pollastro told Cybercast News Service.

According to Jonathon Kolak, a USGS scientist and information specialist, the discrepancy between Price’s 1999 estimates and the agency’s 2008 findings arises from the fact that Price was trying to assess the "oil generation potential" of the oil found in the pores of rocks and shale in the Bakken field, as well as the total content of how much oil might be pooling up – or "oil in place."

"What Dr. Price was looking at was ‘oil generation potential,’ and then, from that, trying to make an estimate of ‘oil in place,’" said Kolak. "Those terms are very distinct from ‘undiscovered technically recoverable resources.’"

The latest study, which was commissioned by U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.), is an estimate of how much "technically recoverable" oil and gas is available — i.e, how much oil can actually be recovered using today’s technology.

Kolak also explained that the 25-fold increase between the 1995 estimates and the 2008 assessment is due to two factors: an improved understanding of the geology and advances in drilling technology.

"Our understanding of the geology improved significantly because of the time difference between the studies," he said. "There has been some drilling since then, there has been a lot more information that has come out, other people have conducted studies, and also USGS researchers have conducted studies."

Moreover, drillers are utilizing directional drilling in the Bakken fields, a way of drilling at an angle to tap previously unrecoverable reservoirs.

"If you’ve been out to western North Dakota, you don’t need a USGS report to know that there’s oil there because you can see from all the drilling activity that there’s a lot of energy development going on in western North Dakota," Dorgan spokesman Justin Kitch told Cybercast News Service .

Kitch admits that comparing Price’s 1999 study to the April USGS study is like comparing "apples and oranges."

"But certainly it’s nice to have an up-to-date assessment of the amount of oil that’s technically recoverable in the Bakken," he said.

In 2006, Marathon Oil bought 200,000 acres in the Bakken to drill over 300 wells. This past May, after the report was released, Texas-based XTO Energy bought 352,000 net acres in the Bakken Shale for $1.9 billion.

The federal government, meanwhile, said only a small proportion of the oil available with today’s technology is economically viable for recovery.

"If you’re drilling the Bakken, it’s pretty easy to drill somewhere in there and at least see some oil, but the question is: Is there enough there to get out and actually be economically recoverable?" Kolak asked.

At the end of 2007, about 105 million barrels of oil had been produced from the Bakken Formation.

The USGS, meanwhile, considers any release or dissemination of Price’s unpublished report to be "inappropriate and irresponsible."

Glad I did not invest it that little pipedream, and I’d bet there are some pretty ticked off investors right now.

Larry Sinclair holds Press Conference and gets arrested

Man, go to bed early and all kinds of stuff comes up. WOW!

It seems that Larry Sinclair, the guy who is, in fact, a convicted criminal, who has made some pretty wild and quite unbelievable accusations against Obama. was arrested yesterday after a circus-like press conference yesterday.

Reason Magazine
was there and reports:

How did Sinclair hold up? Rather terribly. He started with a lengthy statement that admitted most (not all) of his crimes and dispatched Sibley to run around the room with a microphone. As Seth Colter Walls recounts, most of the questions were legalistic and (somewhat) credulous. Sinclair was asked who funded the event (donors, over the internet), how he made his living (he’s on disability), and whether Obama was “well hung” (I’m not going to dignify his answer here). The only new “evidence” he presented was the name of a limo driver and the bar where he claimed to have met Obama (who, in Sinclair’s story, used his real name and job title as he rendevouzed with a cruising criminal he’d never met before).

It also seems that the ending of the Press Conference didn’t not go so well either:

“Thank you.” Sinclair moved on and Sibley refused to let me ask another question. Why didn’t I wait until the end of the press conference and rush up to the accuser? The second Sinclair stopped taking questions, he fled the room and reporters were denied access to anyone but Sibley. I was a little disappointed until I heard the reason. Larry Sinclair was arrested after the press conference and is being held by the Washington, D.C. metropolitan police. He’s been charged as a fugitive from justice; one of his warrants can be seen here.

So much for making a big impression of the Main Stream Media. Anyhow, I predict that this will be yesterdays news by later today. Although, it did kind of strike me as quite funny that the Police would show up and have the man arrested, Although, from what I read, a couple of talk show jocks were behind that.

I also noticed something else, AmericaBlog Reports:

In his post about Larry Sinclair, the now-jailed (again) guy spreading bizarre rumors about Obama, Ben Smith notes the following:

At the Press Club, Avi also ran into Will Bower, a sometimes-Huffington Post blogger who founded “Party Unity, My Ass” – a group for die-hard Clinton supporters that are now backing McCain – and was invited by the McCain campaign last weekend to meet with the presumptive Republican nominee, and called Sinclair’s story “worth exploring.”

And from Ben’s post 4 days ago, we confirm that Will Bower was in fact invited, and did attend, a private meeting with McCain last weekend. Anyone else find it interesting that McCain is wooing a guy who is telling the media that Sinclair’s smears are “worth exploring”? I’d love to know what the McCain campaign’s involvement is here, whether they talked to Bower about this story, whether Bower told them he was going to the press conference, whether they’re now prepared to reject and denounce Bower for trying to push this story? It’s just a bit sleazy finding John McCain’s name mixed up in all of this.

Now that would be some news, McCain springs the guy out and lets him tell his story to the McCain supporters. Although, I highly and seriously doubt that McCain’s people would even touch this story or this guy. Because if he is largely discredited, and McCain used this, it would blow up in his face. Hell, even Huckabee even said if the G.O.P. tried to demonize Obama that they would pay for it dearly.

Like I said, this rather silly story will be yesterday’s news by noon today.

Muslims Barred from Picture at Detroit Obama Event

The Politico reports:

Two Muslim women at Barack Obama’s rally in Detroit on Monday were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.

The campaign has apologized to the women, both Obama supporters who said they felt betrayed by their treatment at the rally.

Of course, the Terrorist supporting CAIR issued their statement:

“Although we welcome the Obama campaign’s apology, we are extremely concerned about the level of Islamophobia in our society that would prompt other minorities to view Muslim supporters as potential liabilities. We hope that Senator Obama will personally apologize to the two women and that he decries the current Islamophobic climate in our nation that is not only attacking him but has even jaded some within his own campaign.”

You mean The United States Armed Forces hasn’t bombed their offices yet? A Pity.

Seriously people, what further proof do we need that this man isn’t ready to be president.

Update: Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this or not, But if John McCain’s staffers had pulled something like this, the level of outrage would be deafening, and He would have been shamed out of the race. But when Barry’s people does it, it is no big deal and will be yesterday’s news by tomorrow.

Is this Barack Obama’s Idea of Hope and Change and New Politics?

(H/T to WorldNetDaily)

Senator Barack Obama claims to be the Senator of Hope and Change, and of New Politics.

If this is the case, then what the heck do you call this? Click here, Please.

I mean, I can see people not liking the site, But threats? Foul Language? Why can’t Obama supporters handle criticism of their so-called “messiah?”

I mean, what else do we need to see, to finally figure out, that this man is nothing more than some sleazy Chicago politician?

At this point, he could be promising a million bucks for every US Citizen, I still wouldn’t vote for him. Not because he is black, but because he’s a fake, offering false hope, and pipe dreams, idealism and smoke and mirrors. All the while taking your money and laughing behind your back.

If that Bastard gets elected, I fear the direction that this country will take. He must be defeated. There is no more question about, he must be defeated at ALL costs.

Bush, McCain, Republicans, do the ultimate flip flop….

In the ultimate flip flop, Juan McSame and the Republicans, have done a complete 360 on an Issue. Offshore Oil Drilling.

This is from the same party, who highlighted John Kerry on a wind sail, which was flipping back and forth, and they used that, as one of the biggest examples of his leadership.

This is the same party which claims that “staying the course” and not giving up, in Iraq, is the only solution to the supposed, “War on terror”.

Now, Who’s the flip flopper?

Watch your feet!

…..At least in Canada, that is…

Via CNN

A severed human foot was found washed up on an island on the western coast of Canada this week, the fifth detached foot found in the area in the past 11 months, according to local police and media reports.

The foot was found Monday on the shore of Westham Island south of Vancouver, according to Constable Sharlene Brooks of the Delta Police Department in British Columbia.

The severed left foot, which was in a shoe, was taken to a coroner for DNA tests, she added.

The foot was one of five found in area recently, she said.

“Our first step is to establish identity,” Brooks said. “It is a little mysterious, but we don’t know if it is linked to others.”

According to the Vancouver Sun newspaper, the other four feet found in the area since August were right feet.

Exit question: Now they’re cutting off the feet of people in Canada, who get sideways with the Human Right Tribunal? Yikes!

Summary of the various Obama/McCain Polls

About all this Obama/McCain back and forth….

I don’t expect me to comment on all that crap, at least not too often.

The reason is, because sheer stupidity of it all, is about deafening.

When Obama comes out with some specifics of HOW exactly he is going to change this country from this stiff veer that it is taking off this Bush-made cliff, then I might have something positive to say about him, but all I ever hear is vagueness, idealism, and smoke and mirrors.

I don’t want to be told to “Just go to Obama’s Website”, I want to hear it out of HIS mouth, of how HE intends to change this country, I want to hear specifics. Not just fluffy speeches, but cold, hard, facts.

Until I hear this, he’s nothing more, to me, than just some inexperienced, empty suit, Idealist politician.

People just need to learn.

Let me repeat this, one more time:

I will not approve comments that are insulting to me in nature. Please, do not waste your time or mine, leaving comments that are insulting to me.

That is all…

Associated Press continues to dig themselves into a P.R. Hole…

Now, they’ve set a “toll booth” up for people to pay them for articles used and quoted.

You know, I am all for copyright enforcement and respecting of other people’s intellectual property and all that kind of stuff, but this is just downright stupid and will end up costing the AP readership in the end.

I will continue the boycott of quoting or linking directly to AP articles until this stupidity stops.

A small note of thanks….

I was just looking at my counter on here. Since I created the new counter on Site Meter for this new Blog, there have 12,005 (at last count) of you crazy people that seem to believe that this little Blog of mine is something special to read. Much of it could be bots scanning for content, But still the same, thanks for coming and reading my rather hardcore opinions here.

As some of you know, I have some detractors who think that I am nothing more than some unemployable loser, who everyone in America hates, while I tend not to listen to what people say or think about me, it is comforting to know that there are people, who think much like me, reading this thing.

Again, I thank you for the readership and I will strive to bring you, my opinions on this election, right up till the bitter end. I might not be one of the bigger names in this business, but I will never compromise, nor will I ever sell out. I will always tell you what I feel about a particular subject, no matter unpopular that opinion might be. I will not sell out my opinions to special interest, ever. You have my word on this.

Thank You again for your most faithful readership.

Barack and Hillary together again?

That’s what they’re saying….

Quote from the New York Daily News:

Hillary Clinton will join Barack Obama for a joint appearance in Washington next week to persuade her donors to begin giving to the Democrats’ nominee, the Daily News has learned.

It’s the first known plan to bring together the victor and vanquished from the Democrat primary race and put their pledges of unity for the fall campaign into action.

Jonathan Mantz, Clinton’s national finance director, sent top Clinton fundraisers an e-mail today inviting them to the event on June 26.

“As we move forward, we invite you to join us for a National Finance Committee meeting with both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on Thursday, June 26th in Washington, D.C., to discuss how we can work together to support Barack Obama and the Democratic Party,” Mantz wrote.

“Hillary ran for President because she wants to put this country on the right track,” Mantz wrote. “She continues to fight and stand strong for our values and priorities and will do everything she can to unify the party and to elect Barack Obama the next President of the United States.”

I just wonder how much Racism, fear mongering and Republican style attacks will be used at this little get together? I wonder if Hillary will whine publicly about how she was entitled to the Presidency, because she was a woman?

It is to wonder….

Racist Button being sold at the Texas G.O.P Convention

ObamaPresident_WhiteHouse_TXGOPConvention

John over at AmericaBlog News has more:

Expect the Republican party to do absolutely nothing about the racists in its own midst. The national Republican party in Washington has contacts all the time with its state parties. I’m sure there’s money involved, and you’d better believe that when John McCain visits the states, he meets with local party officials. At what point do we hold John McCain responsible for fraternizing with racists? You don’t see John McCain ever saying that he’s no longer going to meet with, fundraise with, any state parties that promote or tolerate racism (like the folks in NC and TN). All McCain and that national party does is say "gosh, that’s so bad, stop that now." McCain and the GOP have the power to punish the racists in their midst. So when will they? Oh, and for all of you in the media who will of course say that this has nothing to do with the GOP: What would you say if racist pins were being handed out at the Democratic National Convention?

Centrist Justin over at Donklephant, weighs in on this:

Many things have been labelled as “racist” in this campaign season, and most of them don’t come anywhere close to qualifying.

However, this button is absolutely, 100% out of line, and I hope that once the state GOPers find out about it, they’ll demand this vendor leaves. I mean, this is a convention where Mike Huckabee was speaking. I wouldn’t imagine he’d be pleased to find out that he could be associated with something this vile.

Count me in as someone that thinks that this is totally out of line. I mean, you don’t like Obama, nail him on his positions and his Politics, not on his skin color.

Hypocrisy thy name is NewsBusters

Dana Milbank at the Washington Post wrote a rather humorous column about Juan McSame. Well, it seems that the self righteous Kool-Aid drinking Right Wingers at NewsBusters took issue with a line in Dana’s Column.

The line in question:

If John McCain keeps dancing like this, he’s liable to break a hip.

Well, that was not acceptable to the supporters of the former womanizing, coke headed, alcoholic, known to the rest of the world, as President of the United States of America.

They sniffed profusely:

While it is fair to note McCain’s delicate balancing act in reaching out to liberal-leaning independents while working to secure and retain the base conservative Republican vote, the "break a hip" snark is rather uncalled for.

But this same Blog/Website/whatever you want to call it, it’s lame anyhow, by Web 2.0 standards, praises Ann Coulter for her columns and remarks.

And that’s the view of the moderate Democrats. The rest of them think Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks.

    * In anticipation of their surrender strategy becoming substantially less popular in the wake of another terrorist attack, the Democrats are all claiming that the threat of terrorism was nonexistent — notwithstanding 9/11, the Cole bombing, the bombing of our embassies, the bombing of the World Trade Center, the Achille Lauro, etc. etc. — until George Bush invaded Iraq.
o The ‘Bumper Sticker’ That Blows Up; July 18, 2007

    * Now our forces are killing lots of al-Qaida jihadists, preventing another terrorist attack on U.S. soil, and giving democracy in Iraq a chance — and Democrats say we are "losing" this war. I think that’s a direct quote from their leader in the Senate, Harry Reid, but it may have been the Osama bin Laden tape released this week. I always get those two confused.

Enviromentalism

    * The ethic of conservation is the explicit abnegation of man’s dominion over the Earth. The lower species are here for our use. God said so: Go forth, be fruitful, multiply, and rape the planet — it’s yours. That’s our job: drilling, mining and stripping. Sweaters are the anti-Biblical view. Big gas-guzzling cars with phones and CD players and wet bars — that’s the Biblical view.

Evolution

    * I would like evolution to join the roster of other discredited religions, like the Cargo Cult of the South Pacific. Practitioners of Cargo Cult believed that manufactured products were created by ancestral spirits, and if they imitated what they had seen the white man do, they could cause airplanes to appear out of the sky, bringing valuable cargo like radios and TVs. So they
constructed “airport towers” out of bamboo and “headphones” out of coconuts and waited for the airplanes to come with the cargo. It may sound silly, but in defense of the Cargo Cult, they did not wait as long for evidence supporting their theory as the Darwinists have waited for evidence supporting theirs.

Their immediate response to all bad news is mass violence. That’s a "dog bites man" story and belongs on page B-34, next to the grade school hot lunch menu and the birth notices. After an Egyptian ferry capsized recently, killing hundreds of passengers, a whole braying mob of passengers’ relatives staged an organized attack on the company, throwing furniture out the window and burning the building to the ground. Joe Gandelman releases his inner Michelle Malkin at Al Gore…

I know, it’s a silly headline, but it serves it’s purpose. 8^D

Quote:

Perhaps one day someone will write a chapter about Al Gore in a new book titled “Profiles In Uncourage.”

Democratic presumptive Presidential nominee Barack Obama finally got what he and former rival Senator Hillary Clinton had pined for all these months — THE endorsement from former Vice President Al Gore.

But it came so late in the game that the person who’ll be most impressed with it will be Tipper Gore.

Did anyone think that after the smoke had cleared and the choices became Obama and GOPer John McCain that Al Gore would announce: “I am here to say that I am throwing my considerable weight behind John McCain for President of the United States!!”

Gore’s endorsement — which will generate lots of news stories, sound bytes and blog posts (like this one) is the biggest anti-climax since reporters started wondering if Ralph Nader would run for President again, and Nader announced he would. — Obama Gets "The" Endorsement: The Lousy Timing of Al Gore by JOE GANDELMAN (via The Moderate Voice)

Honestly, How can this be allowed to happen in this Country?

I had resisted Blogging about this, because I felt like my little insignificant Blog would not make much of a dent.

But here it is:

Scott Loper, a U.S. citizen living in Canada, was a good cop, highly trained in surveillance and criminal investigation.

On the verge of exposing a police-run narcotics ring in Durham, Ontario, Loper was discovered by the ring and imprisoned for four years on trumped-up charges. There, he was tortured to the point where he often questioned his ability to make it out alive.

Those he had been about to expose were after the evidence – audio and video recordings Loper had made of their illegal operations. They also wanted him to keep quiet.

The Canadian government originally said the whole thing, including Loper’s arrest, never happened, denying that Loper had ever lived in Canada, let alone been incarcerated there.

Had Loper been unable to produce evidence of his imprisonment, the denial would have succeeded. Loper had that evidence, which he had stuffed into his jeans as he was being released.

Caught in their lie, the Canadians want the whole ordeal swept under the rug. The U.S. government, rather than protecting its citizen, is complying with the cover-up.

Now free, and living in the United States, Scott Loper’s main goals are involved with putting his life back in order and more importantly, to find his son Eddy, now 11 years old. Scott has not seen or heard from his wife and son since his arrest.

Article 36 of the Vienna Convention, signed by 164 nations in 1967, states that those nations are bound to notify foreign nationals, when arrested, of their right to contact their embassy or consulate, allowing that embassy or consulate to assure that citizen is treated properly.

The Canadian government says Scott Loper waived those rights. However, they could produce no document as proof of this statement. The reason, says Loper, is that no such signed document ever existed.

In an attempt to prove their lie, the Canadians finally came up with an unsigned document that holds absolutely no credibility. To add to the absurdity, the document is dated three years after Loper was arrested. Hardly the requirement of notice "without delay" as described by Article 36.

The ongoing series of articles on the right are written by World Net Daily staff writer Bob Unruh. They contain an amazing story of U.S. officials and Congressional representatives going to bat for Scott Loper, only to turn tail when the going got rough.

The Canadian government does not want this story to be told. The U.S. government seems happy to oblige.

There is a larger issue here that affects the safety and well-being of every U.S. citizen who ventures into another country. If the U.S. Government is unwilling to expect its neighbor to the north to comply with the Vienna Convention, what protection can we expect from our government when our rights are violated by other, less friendly countries.

The only resolution here is to force our government to do what it is supposed to do; to protect its citizens. In the case of Scott Loper, the U.S. needs to demand of the Canadian government the admission of illegal imprisonment and torture as well as compensation and help in locating his lost son.

You can read more about Scott Loper’s heart wrenching story, by going to his official website.

In the outside chance that the Media does pick this up, I do have Scott Loper’s contact information. If you need it, contact me at tpblogeditor at gmail. dot com and I will forward it to you. We need to put pressure on Washington DC and force them to get this straightened out, once and for all.

Obama grabs Former Clinton staffer, pisses off some Hillary supporters…

Obama appeared here in Detroit tonight. No, I did not go. I did watch it on the Internet. It was the same ol’ stump speech, with all it’s idealism and lofty promises, with zero substance as to how he plans to do all these things, he says he will do. Which comes of no surprise to me at all, we are talking about Democrats here. One thing to realize, Hitler made promises too.

In other news, A former Hillary staffer was hired by Obama’s campaign, some are calling this a big time slam to Hillary. I hold off on calling it that. The chick was looking for a job, I say, if she can do it, let her. I doubt she will be doing senior staff duties.

They have imposed restrictions on how Bloggers can use their stories. So, until the AP changes their polices, I will not be quoting from the AP and I encourage all bloggers to do the same.

There are plenty of alternatives: Agence France-Press, Reuters, McClatchy, or IPS

If you need the code, drop me an e-mail @ tpblogeditor at gmail dot com and I will e-mail it to you.

I will be adding a Banner to my Blog shortly.

Update: Bloggasm (nice name for a Blog…. *hehe*) reports that this wasn’t the first time that AP has given drudge retort a rough time.
