Fred Thompson Drops out.

Yep, that’s right, Fred Thompson has dropped out of the race for the White House.

There’s much opinion is to why, sources are saying that he’s taking care of his ill Mother. Other say it was because he got in too late. Something I said on my other Blog that got hacked, long ago, back when he first got in.

The people I feel sorry for, are the one’s who gave money to this guy and supported him, I mean, what do they have to show for it? Not a lousy thing.

Video Via MSNBC:

I wish Fred the best of luck.

I predict that the next one’s to drop out, will be Huckabee, Rudy, and possibly Ron Paul. Although he might run as an Independent or a Libertarian.  It will then be a mad dash between Romney and McCain. I predict that things will get nasty between McCain and Romney. Which one will get it, that I cannot predict. But it will be quite the race.

Yeah, I know, you’re wondering why….

I know, you’re most likely wondering why I have not Blogged about the Debates.

Because I am just very disgusted with the whole process. That is why.

John Edwards, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton spent most of the day, which was SUPPOSED to be celebrating the Birthday of a man who stood up for social justice, being civil to one another.

Then all at once, within a one-hour period, all of that civility went out the window.

Some would say, “Hey, that’s politics.”, Well, you know? I disagree. Just what in the name of the Almighty, is being accomplished by the first African-American and the first Female Presidential candidates sniping over absolutely idiotic nonsense?

I mean, what kind of image is that sending to the American people? What kind of signal is that sending to aspiring young people interested in Politics? That it is perfectly acceptable to attack someone that you are running against?

Normally, I would, without delay, post the videos of the sniping and comment about it. But that’s what the main stream media is doing. That’s what every political Blogger is doing. They’re a part of the media machine. I’m just not interested in joining the chorus of Bloggers talking about that feckless nonsense.

I am actually scared to death, why? Because I am afraid that people have seen this sniping and they’ve thought, “Why the hell should I vote for those two?” I mean, this would be great thing for Edwards, But we’re on the threshold of making history here and the two damned idiots that are principle players in it are acting like total nincompoops!

Don’t even get me started about Bill Clinton. “Hey Honey, I’m going go out and destroy you’re chances of getting elected!”, He’s another of the feckless ones. Not to mention his falling asleep during Martin Luther Kings III’s speech. More fodder for the media machine, I guess.

I guess I’m supposed to be feeling really good about all this hoopla, so far, Nothing. Nada. No Dice. I’d rather be watching the history channel or something else more productive.

I apologize if you came here thinking that I had some great commentary on the debates, But I just don’t. I just don’t have an impression.

I will say this, if Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton keep up the nonsense, and the Democrats lose, and we end up with John McCain AKA Bush 2.0 or that Mormon freak Mitt Romney in the White House, the Democrats will have no one to blame, but their own selves for it.

So far, color me unimpressed with the Democrats.

Rudy’s Desperation kicks in….

Rudy Reaches for God’s Black Book- (Washington Whispers) (Via usnews.com)

Quote:

Rudy Giuliani, the socially liberal Republican who’s slipping in the polls, is reaching for an unusual E-mail list for help: a collection of 25 million Christian evangelicals. We hear that Rudy’s church ally, Christian Broadcasting Network founder Pat Robertson, is making overtures to the list’s owner, Alabama-based Optimum Impact. The E-mail addresses have always been available for the asking, but so far only GOP candidates Rep. Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee have made the call. But is it too late for Rudy to quiet the Huckabee surge among Christians? "Who knows?" says one evangelical leader. "But ‘day late and dollar short’ comes to mind."

I’d say, at this point, he’d need a miracle, like the top 3 candidates die of heart attacks at the same time. Tongue

In other words, he’s done. Big Grin

What he gets for running as Mister 9/11!   Rolling Eyes

Ah well, One less Republican in the race. Applause

No Love for John McCain Either…

What’s a cracker got to do to catch a Break?

Click here to see what I’m referring to.

I hate to admit it, But McCain’s about the only damn Conservative that’s qualified for the damn job, if you ask me.

Before anyone asks, yeah, I remember the immigration thing. I think he has learned from that. I really do, otherwise, he wouldn’t still be in the race.

If Hillary wins the nomination, and McCain get’s the Republican nod, I might be tempted to hold my nose…. and… You know.

Although, there’s quite a bit of time, between now and then, so… I’ll stay tuned.

Michael Gerson has NO LOVE for Fred Thompson

 Here’s Why:

Quote:

At a campaign stop attended by a CBS reporter in Lady’s Island, S.C., Thompson was asked if he, "as a Christian, as a conservative," supported President Bush‘s global AIDS initiative. "Christ didn’t tell us to go to the government and pass a bill to get some of these social problems dealt with. He told us to do it," Thompson responded. "The government has its role, but we need to keep firmly in mind the role of the government, and the role of us as individuals and as Christians on the other."

Thompson went on: "I’m not going to go around the state and the country with regards to a serious problem and say that I’m going to prioritize that. With people dying of cancer, and heart disease, and children dying of leukemia still, I got to tell you — we’ve got a lot of problems here. . . . " Indeed, there are a lot of problems here — mainly of Thompson’s own making.

Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark. Michael Gerson, by the way, was a Bush Speech writer. Perhaps a little Neo-Con Bias showing, Maybe?

Just sayin’!

Poll: Nevada to go to Hillary and Romney

That’s what the Polls are saying.

Of course, those Polls have been wrong before.

So, I’ll be handing out congrads, when the caucus and primaries are over.

Should be an interesting day tomorrow.

Mike Huckabee has lost his mind.

Yep, that’s right. He can forget getting elected. Because of this sort of stuff Here.

Money Quote:

QUESTIONER: Is it your goal to bring the Constitution into strict conformity with the Bible? Some people would consider that a kind of dangerous undertaking, particularly given the variety of biblical interpretations.

HUCKABEE: Well, I don’t think that’s a radical view to say we’re going to affirm marriage. I think the radical view is to say that we’re going to change the definition of marriage so that it can mean two men, two women, a man and three women, a man and a child, a man and animal. Again, once we change the definition, the door is open to change it again. I think the radical position is to make a change in what’s been historic.

Oh yeah, like Centrists and Independents are going to vote for some idiot that makes statements like that.

What’s more, was this one:

“I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And thats what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than trying to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family.”

Wow. This dude wants to do away with the Separation of Church and State. I bet these guys wouldn’t be too happy about that.

I don’t know about you, I don’t quite think that this guy is quite ready for prime time. Stick to Church Mike, it can only help.

Say Goodbye Willard!

Willard Mitt Romney goes off on a AP Reporter.

He’ll pay for that in the caucus. You don’t act like a jerk to Media and get away with it. They will bury you.

Video Via MSNBC:

Oh yeah, He’s a jerk. Say goodbye to this hosehead.

The Main Stream "Liberal" and otherwise, media will bury him for this.

Update: I guess he does have a lobbyist on his staff and He HAS gotten paid. This comes via Frameshop:

However, a simple search of Romney’s recent campaign expense filings found these two entries:

  • Dec. 3, 2007 -  a payment of "$300" by the Romney campaign to "Kaufman, Ronald."
  • Oct. 19, 2007 – a payment of  "$100" to "Dutko World Wide."

D’oh! So, so much for the truth.

Huckabee vows to send ’em all home.

Two Words.

Huckabee vows to send all illegal aliens home (via Washington Times)

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee yesterday continued to move to the right on immigration during this year’s presidential campaign, signing a pledge to enforce immigration laws and to make all illegal aliens go home.

The pledge, offered by immigration control advocacy group Numbers USA, commits Mr. Huckabee to oppose a new path to citizenship for current illegal aliens and to cut the number of illegal aliens already in the country through attrition by law enforcement — something Mr. Huckabee said he will achieve through his nine-point immigration plan.

Yeah Right. I don’t buy it. Neither does Michelle Malkin.

Bad News for Hillary in Michigan

This isn’t much of a surprise to me….

Bad News for Hillary in Michigan (Via CNN)

Even so, roughly 70 percent of Michigan’s African-American voters — a group that makes up a quarter of Michigan’s Democratic electorate — did not cast their votes for Clinton, choosing the “uncommitted” option instead. Yet these voters weren’t uncommitted at all: in fact, according to CNN exit polls, they overwhelmingly favored Barack Obama, whose name did not appear on the ballot.

Had Obama’s name been on the Michigan ballot, CNN exit polls show that he would have won an overwhelming 73 percent of the African-American vote, in contrast to 22 percent who say they would have voted for Clinton under those circumstances.

The reason why this does not come as much of a surprise to me, is because Michigan is a very liberal State. I know, I’ve lived here all my life. Obama not only speaks to Liberals, He speaks to the African-American Community as well. He’s their man. He represents their community. There’s nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, I think it’s an awesome thing myself. It shows that finally, after all the years of bigotry and insecurity in this country about blacks, came to a place where a African-American can run for President and be accepted by the general public as a whole.

I like him, mainly, because he represents change, I’m not too keen on some of his "Liberal" policies, when it comes to national security. I mean, I believe in peace, but I don’t believe in selling out America’s security in the process. But anything has got to be better than George W. Bush’s cowboy way of diplomacy. His "Billy Bad Ass" idea of getting along with other nations, is why we’re in the current situation in Iraq.

I was sort of hoping that Edwards would pull out of third place and overtake the other two candidates, But I do not believe that is going to happen. It would be very nice, But I doubt he has the support, money, or momentum to do so.

So, most likely, I, like every other person who votes Democrat in Michigan, will vote for whomever the party chooses for their candidate.

Get out and Vote!

ivoted

My question is, Did you?

I’ve always said, anyone who doesn’t get out and vote, has no right to complain about the way things are ran in Washington D.C.

It is a part of our Democratic process and it is one of the privileges as United States Citizens.

No matter which side you are voting for, that doesn’t matter, what matters is, that YOU ARE DOING IT!

What are you still sitting there for!?!?!?!?!  GET OUT AND VOTE!

This has just gone beyond stupid.

I’m referring to this.

Yes, there’s primary here. and No, I am NOT voting for Her!

She can go to hell. I’m voting uncommitted or "other".

If she gets the nomination, I will hold my nose and vote Republican.

I’m all for Progressive Thought and for "Change" as they call it. But I am not for causing division of the Black Race, which is what Hillary is doing and yes, I think it’s crapAngry

I hope like hell she loses and ends up being HIS Vice-President!

Like I said in the title, this whole damn thing as gone well beyond the realm of stupid.

Political Slam of the Day…..

Ouch!

BET Founder Slams Obama in South Carolina – The Caucus – Politics – New York Times Blog

“That is the way the legislative process works in this nation and that takes political leadership,” he said. “That’s all Hillary was saying.”

He then added: “And to me, as an African-American, I am frankly insulted that the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Hillary and Bill Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues since Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood – and I won’t say what he was doing, but he said it in the book – when they have been involved.”

Moments later, he added: “That kind of campaign behavior does not resonate with me, for a guy who says, ‘I want to be a reasonable, likable, Sidney Poitier ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.’ And I’m thinking, I’m thinking to myself, this ain’t a movie, Sidney. This is real life.”

I just wonder if this campaign in the end will end up doing more to divide the black community, than it will to unite it. Socialism does that. Big Grin

Hillary and Obama Slug it out….

The Blogging World is quite abuzz about the slugfest that his happening between Obama and Hillary.

Here’s Hillary’s appearance on Meet the Press, Judge for yourself:

Personally I think she’s just defending herself against Obama’s camp. But I could be wrong. I don’t support her campaign or anything, I feel she’s just a hold over from Bill Clinton’s day myself. But I digress.

Score one for Dubya…..

I knew this was coming.

Sorry, Barack, You’ve lost Iraq. By Michael Hirsh (via Newsweek)

Camp Arifjan in the desert kingdom of Kuwait, America’s depot to the Iraq war, feels about as far away as you can get from South Carolina, Super Tuesday and the election-year squabbles back home. And George W. Bush, who is currently midway through his six-nation tour of the Mideast, is doing a good job of distancing himself from the politics of 2008. But as Bush rallied U.S. troops at the base here on Saturday with a "Hoo-ah" and conferred with his Iraq dream team, Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker, he indicated that he was setting in motion policies that could dramatically affect the presidential race–and any decisions the next president makes in 2009.

Yep, we were warned that he was going to do this and he did.

More:

Most significant of all, the new partnership deal with Iraq, including a status of forces agreement that would then replace the existing Security Council mandate authorizing the presence of the U.S.-led multinational forces in Iraq, will become a sworn obligation for the next president. It will become just another piece of the complex global security framework involving a hundred or so countries with which Washington now has bilateral defense or security cooperation agreements. Last month, Sen. Hillary Clinton urged Bush not to commit to any such agreement without congressional approval. The president said nothing about that on Saturday, but Lute said last fall that the Iraqi agreement would not likely rise to the level of a formal treaty requiring Senate ratification. Even so, it would be difficult if not impossible for future presidents to unilaterally breach such a pact.

You didn’t think that ol’ Dubya was going to leave office and let them mean ol’ Democrat Liberals ruin his war game did you? Rolling Eyes

and the most telling of all:

The upshot is that the next president, Democrat or Republican, is likely to be handed a fait accompli that could well render moot his or her own elaborate withdrawal plans, especially the ones being considered by the two leading Democratic contenders, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Obama, undeterred by the reported success of Bush’s surge, is pushing ahead with his plans for a brigade-a-month withdrawals that would remove the U.S. military presence entirely. If current Defense Secretary Robert Gates can draw down to, say, 12 brigades by 2009, a senior Obama adviser told me Friday, "then we can get the rest out in eight to 10 months."

But Bush may have the upper hand now. The president touted the surge’s success on Saturday, and he reiterated that "long-term success will require active U.S. engagement that outlasts my presidency." The "enduring relationship" he is building with Iraq, Bush added, "will have diplomatic, economic and security components–similar to relationships we have with Kuwait and other nations in this region and around the world." Some of those relationships have now lasted decades. And as in Japan, Germany, Korea and Kuwait, they include a substantial troop presence. Far away in the Persian Gulf, Bush is creating facts on the ground that the next president may not be able to ignore.

Score one for Dubya, Checkmate.

Have Conservatives just given up?

January 12, 2008

Have Conservatives just given up?

Nobody likes to lose; it is a common trait among human beings. We all love being winners. We all like winning the prize; some are just down right obsessive about it. If you do not believe me, you can stop by your nearest ball field or sports arena, you’ll see enough testosterone and obsession with winning to last you a lifetime.

However, I happened to have been reading articles by Rudy Takala and Dr. W.R. Marshall, Ph.D and by reading these articles, I get the impression that they must believe that the Democrats have already won the White House and both houses of Congress, and the G.O.P. had been dissolved. Last time I checked, we were only in the Primaries. The General election had not been started yet.

Yes, Barack Obama does seem to be the candidate on the left that has been made the darling of the liberal media. However, Obama has not answered questions, as to how he is going to make this so called “change” that he speaks of. He only has spoken in generalities, not in specifics. I believe that if the Conservative candidates for President want to beat the Democrats in the election in 2008, they need to stop bickering amongst themselves over minor policy differences, rally behind one of these candidates, and take Obama to task on his policy intentions.

As a right of center voter, I do truly believe change is needed, in the White House, (Unlike Mitt Romney!) and in Washington DC as a whole. However, I do not believe that this change should involved raising my taxes to make this change possible! While I do believe that, we do need jobs in this country, and more specifically in this state here, (I live in Michigan) I do not believe that we need to steal money out of the hands of successful business men, who have worked hard all their lives to make their fortunes to make this happen.

I mean, I, technically, would be considered in the poor class economically, but the last thing that I would want to do is demand that someone who has worked hard for his money, surrender it to me. I am sorry, that, my friend is not the American way that is called highway robbery and outright socialism. I might not be as well off as some, but I do not expect those who are well off to give me their money. I believe that if you want to be rich, you ought to work for it and earn it, like everyone else. I mean, sure, I would love to be a rich syndicated writer, like Ann Coulter, but do I expect Ann Coulter to give me her wealth so that I can be? No! She has earned her wealth, by writing and by being a lawyer. She went to school to be a lawyer. Her good looks did not hurt either, but that is not the issue here. (tee hee)

The issue is that Republicans candidates need to stop the stupidity, and debate the issues at hand. The Republican candidates weed out the cranks, like Ron Paul and get down to the business of serious politics, why Ron Paul has been allowed to continue this far, is very much beyond me. The fact that Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani are even still running, shows that there is just too much dissent in the Republican Party. I say let us pick 3 out of the top runners and let the rest to go home.

We do need change, but we do not need the change that the Liberal Democrats want to bring to America, by negotiating with terrorists, raising taxes, and giving hand outs to everything from former slaves to Iraqi suicide bombers.

If Conservatives are going to win, this is what needs to happen.

Clintons try and suck up to Black people after Bill’s stupid remark

I love it when people get caught being stupid and then have to try and talk their way out of it.

Clintons Move to Tamp Down Criticism From Blacks About Recent Comments – New York Times

The Clinton campaign moved Friday to try to quell a potentially damaging reaction to recent comments by Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton that have drawn criticism from African-Americans just as the presidential primary campaign reached Southern states with significant numbers of black voters.

In a call on Friday to Al Sharpton’s nationally syndicated talk radio show, Mr. Clinton said that his “fairy tale” comment on Monday about Senator Barack Obama’s position on the Iraq war was being misconstrued, and that he was talking only about the war, not about Mr. Obama’s overarching message or his drive to be the first black president.

“There’s nothing fairy tale about his campaign,” Mr. Clinton said. “It’s real, strong, and he might win.”

Lying idiot. He knows what he did and now Bill Clinton is trying to suck up to the Black community. I think that the African-American community needs to send Billary a message. We don’t want your cracker butt being our President. We want change, we want a new vision, we want someone who will unite and not divide. We want Obama.

The quicker the African American Community gets together and does this, the better. I say. The Clinton’s did NOT being change in America, at all, they simply rode the wave of success of the Previous Administrations. The only thing that the Clinton’s gave us was NAFTA, A disgraced White House and Waco and Ruby Ridge.

I say the quicker the Democrats drop slick willy and his ugly assed wife, the better!

Everybody loves John McCain?……..Think again.

Seems that John McCain’s support of Amnesty is coming back to bite him in the behind.

Senator John McCain Accused of Selling Out Law Enforcement – (via NewsWithViews.Com’s News Dept)

The news media and Republican Party bigwigs may be happy with a John McCain candidacy for President of the United States come this November, but a lot of law enforcement officers will probably sit out election day if McCain is the GOP presidential candidate.

United States Border Patrol agents are not happy with Senator John McCain (R-AZ) since he voted for the Amnesty Bill (S. 2611). And they’re not being quiet about their collective anger over the senator’s actions and remarks.

According to members of the agents’ union Local 2544, Senator McCain has never been a friend to rank-and-file Border Patrol agents. Local 2544 represents US Border Patrol agents in Arizona, McCain’s home state.

This ought to be a lesson to these politicians, that you cannot break away from the principles of Conservatism and get away with it. You’d think that these knuckleheads would have learned this with Bush and Co., I guess not.

To Shuck and Jive

Ouch! This will come to bite Hillary in the behind.

And Cuomo Too (Updated)

”It’s not a TV crazed race. Frankly you can’t buy your way into it,” Cuomo said. “You can’t shuck and jive at a press conference,” he added. “All those moves you can make with the press don’t work when you’re in someone’s living room.”

Sounds like someone’s got a problem with black people.

In cause you’re wondering  This is what "shuck and jive" means:

"To shuck and jive" originally referred to the intentionally misleading words and actions that African-Americans would employ in order to deceive racist Euro-Americans in power, both during the period of slavery and afterwards. The expression was documented as being in wide usage in the 1920s, but may have originated much earlier.

"Shucking and jiving" was a tactic of both survival and resistance. A slave, for instance, could say eagerly, "Oh, yes, Master," and have no real intention to obey. Or an African-American man could pretend to be working hard at a task he was ordered to do, but might put up this pretense only when under observation. Both would be instances of "doin’ the old shuck ‘n jive."

Something tells me this is going to get bigger before the day is out.

Others Agree.
