Bill O’ Reilly Unhinged

Via C&L:

and who is it, who calls the Liberals Unhinged? Hmph, Looks like that unhinged stuff happens on both sides of the political fence, Michelle.

Unhinged, a disgrace to Conservatism, and to the Republican Party. He should be fired from Fox News, of course, that’ll never happen, he’s too busy keeping Murdock happy…under his desk.

Others: Pam’s House Blend and DownWithTyranny!

Republicans figure they cannot defeat Obama in the election, they’ll make racist jokes about him.

I hate to say it, but this crap here, is totally disgusting.

Go here to read it, If you can do it, without getting sick.

I mean, really guys, don’t you think that’s just hitting a little below the belt?

I mean, first it was his middle name, then it was the lies about him being a Muslim plant, now it’s outright racist tinged low-brow humor.

I hate to say it, but I will, and I am very white, thank you very much. The same simple-minded mentality that produced these so-called "funny" pictures is the same mentality that provoked this famous speech from January 14, 1963. an excerpt:

Today I have stood, where once Jefferson Davis stood, and took an oath to my people. It is very appropriate then that from this Cradle of the Confederacy, this very Heart of the Great Anglo-Saxon Southland, that today we sound the drum for freedom as have our generations of forebears before us done, time and time again through history. Let us rise to the call of freedom-loving blood that is in us and send our answer to the tyranny that clanks its chains upon the South. In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny . . . and I say . . . segregation today . . . segregation tomorrow . . . segregation forever. – 1963 Inaugural Address of Governor George C. Wallace

We can do be better people, we’ve come a long way since that time, let’s try acting like it for a change.

This sort of nonsense should not be tolerated, at all and the blogger who posted it, should be shamed publicly.

Can we have a little sanity here, Please?

I seen this and meant to comment earlier. Sorry for the delay.

Why I Believe Bush Must Go By George McGovern (via WaPo)

As we enter the eighth year of the Bush-Cheney administration, I have belatedly and painfully concluded that the only honorable course for me is to urge the impeachment of the president and the vice president.

After the 1972 presidential election, I stood clear of calls to impeach President Richard M. Nixon for his misconduct during the campaign. I thought that my joining the impeachment effort would be seen as an expression of personal vengeance toward the president who had defeated me.

Today I have made a different choice.

I’ve read the reactions, on the left it’s approval and of the right it is, as expected, total rejection.

Here is a little voice of common sense, from a right of center Moderate. (that would be me! Big Grin)

President George W. Bush is only going to be in office for the remainder of this year. I think, unless some Republicans have a major change of heart. Congress is NOT going to be able to pass a resolution demanding articles of impeachment for the President. They just do not have the votes. The only way that anyone is going to be able to get the President and his staff Prosecuted for crimes committed while in office is to pressure the NEXT President to remove his executive privilege, this would never happen, as it has never happened before and it would be political suicide for anyone to attempt anything of this nature.

Honestly, at this point, I think a impeachment trial would be absolutely pointless and, quite frankly, a waste of time and tax payers money.

As much as I dislike this President, as much as I know of how he bungled the lead up to the war and the response after Saddam fell. As much as I know, that is all true, I’m afraid there it little anyone can do. I mean there are limits on what can be done to him, due to our constitution.

I mean, all this rhetoric sounds good and all. But in reality, it’s all nothing more than, just that, talk and empty rhetoric.

This smells fishy to me..

For sale: West’s deadly nuclear secrets – (via Times Online)

A WHISTLEBLOWER has made a series of extraordinary claims about how corrupt government officials allowed Pakistan and other states to steal nuclear weapons secrets.

Sibel Edmonds, a 37-year-old former Turkish language translator for the FBI, listened into hundreds of sensitive intercepted conversations while based at the agency’s Washington field office.

She approached The Sunday Times last month after reading about an Al-Qaeda terrorist who had revealed his role in training some of the 9/11 hijackers while he was in Turkey.

Edmonds described how foreign intelligence agents had enlisted the support of US officials to acquire a network of moles in sensitive military and nuclear institutions.

For one, how do we know that this isn’t just some attention seeking woman, looking to make a quick buck, at the expense of our Government?

For some reason, this one just does not pass the smell test.

More here as well. One must know, however, that Brad Blog is a Liberal Blogger, who has tried to defame those like Ann Coulter and many other Conservatives.

It just reeks of the Alex Jones type of nonsense that is found of the Internet.

Huckabee a huckster?

Not that it’d surprise me any, But……

Huckabee’s Weight Loss Story Bogus?

He Dieted for Our Sins–Or Did He? Republican Undernews! Did Huckabee go bariatric? Plutarch makes the (surprisingly non-weak) case with photos and graphs. … P.S.: The Arkansas ex-governor’s dramatic weight loss is to his campaign what Edwards’ loyalty to his sick wife is to the latter’s campaign. In each case, there are undernews suspicions. In each case, these suspicions are likely to become overnews–i.e. news–if (as is very possible) the candidate in question emerges victorious from Iowa. In each case, apparently, the suspicions could be dissipated by the presentation of routine medical evidence. [How with Edwards? Just between us–ed Aternity-pay Est-tay] …

Backfill: Jonah Goldbeg has one argument against bariatricity. … Powerline commenters debate here. … Another Huck defense here.

Something the media should look into, in a big way.

My Take on the Debates

On the Republican Side. I really did not see a clear "winner". I think that the barbs back and forth were totally uncalled for. I mean, They are supposed to be debating issues, not name calling and mud slinging. Although the off the cuff comments by McCain to Romney were great. Although, Huckabee needs to just leave Romney alone. I mean, Romney has him beat money-wise like 10 to 1, he could bury him, if he wanted to.

The Republicans really need to thin that herd out. There’s just too many of them.

Ron Paul is an total idiot, he needs to go to the Libertarian Party. I mean, he’s coming off looking like the resident psycho of the group. He hasn’t got a snowball’s chance in Hades, so, why continue? It just makes the party look bad.

Fred Thompson came off as totally unmotivated, I think he’ll be out by this coming Tuesday.

On the Democratic side, the barbs between Hillary and Edwards and Obama and Edwards looked totally staged.

As far as a "winner" on the Democratic side, I think Edwards and Obama looked good. They did hold the "Change" banner up and defended it well, Hillary started out well, but ended up looking like a "screaming meme" at the end. It was all about her bragging about how much experience she has. I think people will pick up on that come time for the vote.

Richardson is a nice man, too nice for this race, I look for him to drop out, come this vote, he’s already laid off staffers.

And there you have it, the official of center guy’s take on the Debates.

Michelle Malkin trashes the Unions

Go ahead and read, if you can without throwing up.

Two words for you, Michelle.

Union Strong.

We built Detroit

We made it what it is.

But your Republicans and your Conservative greedy company owners who wanted to build products cheaper, sold us out. By sending products overseas.

and of course, you will say, “But the Democrats are the one’s who passed nafta!” True, They did.

But your rich Republican business owners WERE ALREADY sending jobs overseas and they pressured congress to pass nafta with their powerful lobbies.

Bill O’Reilly almost gets his tail kicked.

Heh.

Fox’s Bill O’Reilly in confrontation with Obama staffer at rally.

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly got into a confrontation with an Obama aide after O’Reilly started screaming at him as he tried to get Barack Obama’s attention following a rally here. O’Reilly eventually did chat briefly with Obama and asked him to be a guest on his show

I must confess. I would have loved to see the secret service slamming Bill O’s idiot noggin’ on the ground.

I think he should have been arrested. He was breaking the rules, he was not where he was supposed to be. You notice he didn’t challenge the secret service.

Of course, BillO spins it to his advantage. But it’s of course, Bullshit. Something he’s known for.

What more can you expect from a guy who sexually harasses his employees?

Why they Booed.

I was reading over on Time’s Blog about Hillary getting Boo’ed by the crowd.

Why did they boo? I know why.

Because people want change in this country. Hillary simply does not represent that, period.

She simply represents an extension of the Clinton dynasty. Plain and Simple.

What cracks me up is the Republicans lamenting because they won’t have her to kick around during the general election. They can’t kick around Obama, least they be accused of being racist bigots. It is quite funny.

Our Wonderfully Stupid Government pulls a bonehead move

I received this from a Blogger friend of mine, named Rosemary.

It seems our Department of Defense is not using it’s Brain again. (Which doesn’t startle me in the least..)

This comes via Act for America:

Bill Gertz in his “Inside the Ring” column in today’s Washington Times revealed that Pentagon Islam Law expert , Stephen Coughlin was ‘sacked’. After Gertz’s column late last month, that we highlighted in an ACT blog there was speculation about the reception that Coughlin would get upon his return from the long Christmas New Years break. Now we know-read the full Gertz story below.

This is outrageous! Coughlin’s premier work on Islamic Law had been cleared and approved for publication by the DIA. Or will it be? Perhaps those nervous Pentagon superiors will, in the wake of his departure, nix it under pressure from Islamists inside and outside the Pentagon. Coughlin, had lots of supporters for his valued work inside the Pentagon, but apparently the public disclosure of the animus of Hasham Islam Muslim outreach officer on Deputy Secretary England staff against him must have convinced some Pentagon officials to force Coughlin’s ouster. This amounts to shooting the messenger who had crafted a telling message about the threat of Political Islam. It looks to many of us who know of Coughlin’s important work and have written about it that something nefarious is going on across the Potomac inside the E-ring in the ‘five sided squirrel cage’ that I knew as a former Army Intelligence officer. – Read the rest

Something tells me, someone somewhere made a big fat mistake.
I wonder if the liberal MSM will carry this one. Don’t bank on it.

Obsidian Wings Writer/Blogger Andy Olmsted dies in Iraq

This is just too damned sad for words…. Sad

Andy Olmsted R.I.P.

I am glad that he did write this part here:

I do ask (not that I’m in a position to enforce this) that no one try to use my death to further their political purposes. I went to Iraq and did what I did for my reasons, not yours. My life isn’t a chit to be used to bludgeon people to silence on either side. If you think the U.S. should stay in Iraq, don’t drag me into it by claiming that somehow my death demands us staying in Iraq. If you think the U.S. ought to get out tomorrow, don’t cite my name as an example of someone’s life who was wasted by our mission in Iraq. I have my own opinions about what we should do about Iraq, but since I’m not around to expound on them I’d prefer others not try and use me as some kind of moral capital to support a position I probably didn’t support. Further, this is tough enough on my family without their having to see my picture being used in some rally or my name being cited for some political purpose. You can fight political battles without hurting my family, and I’d prefer that you did so.

Thank you Andy for your honesty and may you rest in peace. Prayers and thoughts for your family.

Huckabee and Obama win in Iowa

 Wow! What a race!

Huckabee and Obama win in Iowa Via Politico:

Mike Huckabee won a convincing victory among Republicans Thursday night, while Democrat Barack Obama posted a narrow and historic win over Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Edwards as Iowans rendered the first  true judgments of the 2008 presidential cycle.

Huckabee was declared the winner at 9 p.m. Eastern time, easily besting Mitt Romney – a storyline that was unthinkable just weeks ago. With 41 percent of precincts reporting, Huckabee led Romney by a 31 to 23 percent margin.

Obama was called the winner just before 9:30 p.m.

Truly this is a political election of change. People are tired of the status quo, and people have voted with change. Huckabee represents that change on the Right and Obama on the Left.

I look for this to be a very interesting race. I look forward to following it.

Of course, Romney remains optimistic:

"Congratulations for the first round to Mike," Romney said on Fox News just before 9 p.m. Romney said that despite the disappointing results, he still felt that he would ultimately "be the one with the nomination”

Translation: Congrads, But I’m still going to win! Hee hee

I have seen on MSNBC and I have read that turn out was doubled this time. Where there were like 80 people in a district in 2004. There were hundreds this time. This is good, it seems that the American people are interested in this Election. This is such a good thing.

I just look forward to the spin that Hillary and the other candidates that didn’t do so well, spin this to their advantage.

Too damned little, Too damned late…..

Yeah, like they’re going to find any wrongdoing, this late in the game!

Criminal probe opened over CIA tapes (via Yahoo News)

The Justice Department opened a full criminal investigation Wednesday into the destruction of CIA interrogation videotapes, putting the politically charged probe in the hands of a mob-busting public corruption prosecutor with a reputation for being independent.

Attorney General Michael Mukasey announced that he was appointing John Durham, a federal prosecutor in Connecticut, to oversee the investigation of a case that has challenged the Bush administration’s controversial handling of terrorism suspects.

It is being reported that this guy is, and I quote, Neither “Outside” Nor “Special,” Nor “Independent. I also special note that Keith Olbermann did not accuse the guy of being just another Bush guy. Perhaps this guy is, what they say he is, an independent that will not cower down to Bush.

However, I just got this sinking feeling, in the back of my mind, that this all is going to turn up nothing. That the people involved in this case, will have covered their collective backsides to the point, where nothing will be found. I could be wrong, and I hope like hell that I am. But I am also a realist and I know, that if there has been wrong doing. Most likely, they’ve long buried the evidence.

For the sake of this Nation. I hope like hell, that I am wrong.

Updated: Fred Thompson will possibly drop out. Campaign says "Um, No."

Say goodnight Fred!

Fred Thompson may drop out (H/T Politico)

Several Republican officials close to Fred Thompson’s presidential campaign said they expect the candidate will drop out of the race within days if he finishes poorly in Thursday’s Iowa caucus.

Thompson’s campaign, which last spring and summer was generating fevered anticipation in the media and with some Republican activists, has never ignited nationally, and there are no signs of a late spark happening here in Iowa, where even a third-place finish is far from assured

Honestly? I do not see why it took him so long to do this. I mean, the guy didn’t strike when the iron was hot. He fiddled around and didn’t get his campaign started quick enough. So, I hate to say it. But the guy screwed up big time, and this is the result. A dud campaign.

The Corner says he is a Ronald Reagan Conservative. That’s laughable, as Reagan WON the election!  Hee hee

Oh well, there’s always Huckabee! Winking

It goes on to say that he’ll most likely will support McCain. That I feel, was quite the wise choice, because John McCain, is the best qualified amongst that group running for President.

Romney will Stop the Gays….

This comes via Think Progress:

Today on MSNBC’s Hardball, former senator Jim Talent, now an adviser to Mitt Romney, discussed Romney’s record on gays. Talent maintained that Romney has never been inconsistent on gay rights and has “always” wanted to stop the influence of “the militant gays”:

He’s always had the same position as to regards to the gay agenda. Look, he wants to know people to know he values gay people as people, okay? But he doesn’t want the militant gays to be able to change the cultural institutions of the country.

That is unless he’s gay himself.

I can almost hear the collective scream from the right.

“He’s not gay, he’s married!”

Neither was Larry Craig. He just had a wide stance.

The Video:

I wonder there are any gay escorts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, that could give us some juicy information? Hey, it pays to ask the question.

You can read more about the Caucus stuff, by going here

On the Republican Side: Huckabee Leads over Romney.

On the other side of the political fence. The Polls show that Hackabee still has a lead of Mitt Romney.

Hackabee is at 32% and Romney is right behind at 26%.

The sick and sad part is, neither of these guys are even remotely true Conservatives. With Romney’s Flip-flopping, and Hackabee’s skeletons in his closet, his tax hikes. They’re both just Conservative in name and not in deed.

If I were voting Republican. The only person I would vote for, who I feel is even remotely qualified for the job and that is John McCain. He sits at 13%, and that my friends, is a shame, A damn shame. Sad

New Iowa Poll: Obama pulls past Hillary Clinton

New poll numbers…….

New Iowa Poll: Obama widens lead over Clinton

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has widened his lead in Iowa over Hillary Clinton and John Edwards heading into Thursday’s nominating caucuses, according to The Des Moines Register’s final Iowa Poll before the 2008 nominating contests.

Obama’s rise is the result in part of a dramatic influx of first-time caucus-goers, including a sizable bloc of political independents. Both groups prefer the Illinois senator in what has been a very competitive campaign.

With Obama at 32% and Hillary at 25%, it is quite obvious, people want change and Obama offers that.  Hillary is just a continuation of Bill Clinton. I believe people see that.

I’m not too concerned about his Religion. I could care less. This race is not about Religion, It is not about skin color, it is not about Islam vs Christianity. It is about who is the person that can lead this Country, who can steer this Country away from the idiot nonsense that the Bush Administration has created. It is about electing a President that can protect the American people, not with lies and fear mongering, like Rudy Giuliani. But rather with honesty and integrity.  Something that has not been in the White House, or in Washington D.C. entirely for the last 6 years.

Let us hope that the caucus-goers choose the right person.

Chelsea Clinton…. A Crass B!tch, Just like Mom.

Heh. Runs in the Family.

My Way News – Chelsea Clinton Guards Her Words

It’s one thing for Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign to turn down interview requests for the candidate’s daughter, Chelsea. But can’t a 9-year-old reporter catch a break?

Sydney Rieckhoff, a Cedar Rapids fourth grader and “kid reporter” for Scholastic News, has posed questions to seven Republican and Democratic presidential hopefuls as they’ve campaigned across Iowa this year. But when she approached the 27-year-old Chelsea after a campaign event Sunday, she got a different response.

“Do you think your dad would be a good ‘first man’ in the White House?” Sydney asked, but Chelsea brushed her question aside.

“I’m sorry, I don’t talk to the press and that applies to you, unfortunately. Even though I think you’re cute,” Chelsea told the pint-sized journalist.

Huckabee Disses gay people…. and He wants to get elected?

Wow…

I Don’t Know’ If People Are ‘Born’ Gay, But It’s A ‘Choice’ To Act Gay

On NBC’s Meet The Press this morning, host Tim Russert asked former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee if he believed “people are born gay or choose to be gay?” “I don’t know whether people are born that way,” responded Huckabee, “but one thing I know, that the behavior one practices is a choice.”

Huckabee conceded that “people who are gay say that they’re born that way,” but added that he believed that “how we behave and how we carry out that behavior” is more important.

This is freaking crazy. You can’t get elected saying crap like this anymore. This is outright Anti-Gay Propaganda.

Here’s the Video:

If Jesus freak boy wants to be taken seriously. He’d better get off of the nonsense. Because back in the 1980’s when this Nation was still someone Conservative, you could say stuff like this, In this day and age, Not so much.

Intolerance will only get you ignored.

You’d think this idiot would know this. But then again, we are talking about Huckabee.

This is the same guy who got his kid out of trouble for killing a dog and also released a known killer.

NYT Hires Kristol, Liberals go nuts and NYT wonders why

I find stories like this quite amusing. Hee hee

Times defends hiring conservative Kristol – Michael Calderone – Politico.com

The New York Times’ hiring of Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol to write for its op-ed page caused a frenzy in the liberal blogosphere Friday night, with threats of canceling subscriptions and claims that the Gray Lady had been hijacked by neo-cons.

What is about Liberals and intolerance for free speech? I mean, do liberals feel that threatened by this person? Amazing.

The Editor of NYT agrees:

Rosenthal told Politico shortly after the official announcement Saturday that he fails to understand “this weird fear of opposing views.”

“The idea that The New York Times is giving voice to a guy who is a serious, respected conservative intellectual — and somehow that’s a bad thing,” Rosenthal added. “How intolerant is that?”

I agree. While I might not agree with all of what Kristol says or believes, I think that trying to repress someone’s views is totally wrong. Kristol has a right to speak his mind, Just like Ann Coulter, Keith Olbermann and the rest of the political talkers out there.

This sort of goes along with that theory of both Political parties being intolerant of dissent. This happens on both sides, all the time.

Edwards surges, Huckabee nosedives

McClatchy Washington Bureau | 12/30/2007 | Edwards surges, Huckabee’s bubble bursts

John Edwards has clawed his way into contention to win Iowa’s caucuses on Thursday in the first vote for the Democratic presidential nomination, gaining strength even as rivals Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have lost ground, according to a new McClatchy-MSNBC poll.

I have an idea as to why Edwards has moved up. I believe people want change. Hillary, to some, does not represent change, but rather the continuing of the Clinton Administration. I don’t think America wants to see Clinton 2.0.

However, because I am fair, America also wants a President who is honest. Edwards speaks a Populist message, all the while living in a multi-million dollar mansion. This strikes me as being hypocritical.

However, in the scheme of things, Edwards is most likely seen as the lesser of two evils.
