Bill O’Reilly sparks outrage over atheistic sign

(You will have to manual stop the other video below this one. Sorry, there was no setting in the code to tell it not to auto play…)

Personally, If I were the Governor of Washington State, I would have put Bill O’Reilly’s home telephone number in the press release and encouraged people to call him, at all hours of the night. This would end this, real quick.

Comedy Gold Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen explains Herself

I’m sure you’ve heard about the infamous hang up. She’s now explaining herself, to a local Florida radio station. It is quite the rib tickling conversation.

It also seems that that the poor Representative now has some angry constituents, who think she did it on purpose.  Now that puts a whole new shine of this. I mean, she was a disbelieving dolt, but nobody believes she is a dolt.  There’s many a dolt who would love to have that problem!  😉

I would give a kidney to hear those calls! 😛 “I was an idiot!, “Uh-huh Sure you were!” Comedy Gold people…

Two Bloggers Retire

Some sad news to report. Two long time Bloggers are going into retirement. The other side of Kim and His Wife have given it up.

Which got me to thinking. Blogging is not a one sided conversation; at least it is not supposed to be.  I think one of the most tragic things I have done, is I have possibly chased people away from here. Because of my hard stance on the comments section. I say this because I noticed how much of a community that some of the more older Blogs have become.

So, as of today. I am making a change. As of today. I am shutting off the comment moderation.

What does that mean? Well…..

What it means is, that I will not have to approve every comment that comes through here.

Now, does that mean that you can come onto here and act like a spastic idiot and insult me and I will do nothing? Nope!

What it does mean is this. I am letting a bit more freedom around here. However, anarchy will not be allowed. I have a swear filter on here. I also will remove or edit stuff that I deem inappropriate for  my reading audience. I also will ban people who are presistant in breaking the comment rules, which are clearly posted in more than one place around here.

Anyhow, I wish nothing but the best for Kim and his wife. They’ve been Blogging since 2002. Wow. Such a long time, in computer and internet years.

Why am I killing the moderation? I figure if I lighten up around here a little, maybe people will be more inclined to hang around a little more. 😀

I mean, it can only help. 🙂

Interesting Political Debate

As you might know, I get a great deal of video from Breit Bart’s Video Website.  I also am signed up for his RSS feeds. I happen come across a video of a debate between John Ziegler and Nate Silver.

Here is the video of this most interesting back and forth:

Okay, here’s my impressions. First off John Zeigler’s phone audio was way much louder than Nate Silver’s. Which made hearing Nate harder. You would think an organization like Breit Bart TV would know how to use a computer EQ system or have a mixing board to evenly regulate sound from the Telephone.

Second of all, Zeigler comes off sounding like a arrogant prick, kinda like some smart assed drunk in a bar, that I once had to punch in the face  — long story there.  I can understand Zeigler not agreeing with Silver’s political idology, but to take a condescending tone with someone like that, is just totally unprofessional. I must say Nate Silver handled himself very well. If that would have been me, I would told Zeigler to go get bent and if he had a problem with it, I would have invited him to meet me somewhere and he would be needing some dental work, when I got done with him. 😡

Not only this, I do not buy the claim that he cannot release the unedited footage and make it available on the internet. He chooses not to.

More importantly is this. Honestly, who gives two flips about polls, really! I mean the election is over. Obama going to be President, Conservatives like Zeigler need to just accept it and move on.

For what it is worth; no, I do not buy that Breit Bart is neutral and that the Z-Cast is A-Political. They’re a Conservative website. Which promotes and portals videos to a particular audience.

Update: Yes, I know, the video auto plays. I checked the code, there is no way to change that. It’s lame, it sucks, but I can’t fix it. Sorry. 🙁

Oh Brother!

If Congress does not bail out the big three…. they’re raciiiiiiiiiist!

So says The Detroit’s Council of Baptist Pastors

Minority auto suppliers are being disproportionately hurt by the auto industry implosion, and that is devastating Detroit’s African-American communities, the city’s Council of Baptist Pastors said Tuesday.

At a news conference in Hamtramck, council President the Rev. Dr. Oscar King called on Congress to approve a loan package for Detroit automakers.

“This is not a gift. We are not asking for anything that is not ours,” King said of the federal loans for the Detroit Three. “Taxes go up to the federal government. We’re asking for a reasonable redistribution.”

Oh Brother. 🙄

Yeah, they won’t be able to buy no more fried chicken on Sunday. Poor babies. 😛

I mean, they got their black President, what the hell else do they want?

….and Make the UAW President as Auto Czar? You must be kidding.

Praising McCarthy?

It seems so.

Some gent by the name of Justin Raimondo over at Taki’s magazine is doing just this.

You see the problem with doing that is this. Joe McCarthy might have had some honest intentions; but he was an abusive person, because of his very bad drinking habit. Also, McCarthy was a bit of an opportunist as well.  Not to mention paranoid as can be.

Not to mention much of the damage he did to the G.O.P.

So, I will submit that I respectfully disagree with this man’s article.

Editorial: A Look Back and a Look Ahead

The last time that one of these wonderful little editorials was written; in any sort of earnest, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were still trying to convince the rest of the country that one of them would make the best candidate for President of the United States of America.  John McCain was just being realized as a serious candidate and the Presidential race seemed like it was most likely going to last for the rest of my adult life.

Since that time, after one too many weeks of her carrying out a President campaign that was chalk full of many an error of comedic proportion; and after being told that waiting around for your opponent to be assassinated was just outrageously morbid.  Hillary Clinton; finally, did the World, the Democratic Party, The Feminist Movement, and anyone else you want to add to that list; a huge favor and dropped out of the Presidential race.  However, Hillary did this after ripping a gigantic gulf size hole, the size of the Grand Canyon between the Democratic Party faction lines.  Heck, as it is now, a Liberal Feminist Lesbian and an African-American cannot walk down the street in New York City without snarling at one another.  How is that for Hope and Change?

Once Hillary did finally get it through the miles of granite between her ears, that the American people wanted Obama, and not her —- she finally stepped aside.  However, not before doing a little dog and pony show with Obama.  I mean, the woman does have an ego; they had to make her feel good, one last time.

At this point is when the real action started, John McCain was anointed the golden boy of his Party, and that is when the bare-knuckle brawl between McCain and Obama and their many surrogates began.  There was a point when this writer was not sure what was worse, the race baiting of the Obama surrogates or some of the more moronic racism of the surrogates of McCain.

One of the biggest tragedies of this Presidential race was that the contenders of Barack Obama made some of the same silly mistakes, McCain and Hillary made the same misfires, miscalculations, and bad decisions.  This proves quite a few things.  One it proves that a Caucasian cannot effectively run against an African-American Candidate.  The reason is the “race card” issue, when cornered on his lack of experience; Obama’s surrogates would play that card and play it quite effectively.  This would cause a misfire by the other campaign and for the other campaign to be looked upon as racist.  This is what happened in Hillary Clinton and John McCain’s campaigns both; and they both made the same dreadfully awful mistakes.

However, I would committing a crime of epic proportions, if I did not acknowledge the fact that the Republican Party and those controlling John McCain’s campaign made some horrifically awful mistakes.  The Republican Party and John McCain’s campaign both tried to paint Obama as a terrorist by proxy.  The sick part is that they learned it from Hillary’s Campaign.  The very worst thing that Obama did was sit on a board with a man, who committed criminal acts; that were done in opposition to the Vietnam War.  These acts, horrific as they were, happened when Obama was all of eight years old.  How could anyone, who has a sane rational mind; want to try to subjugate a man to that sort of scrutiny over something he had no control over?

Barack Obama’s Pastor though was another matter entirely, this author does not entirely believe Obama’s claim that he did not ever hear his Pastor, say incendiary comments from the pulpit.  Obama might have heard the sermons and chose to ignore the content that he found offensive, which is an entirely plausible scenario.  It did however; bring up some very harsh differences between the White and Black cultures, sometimes to an uncomfortable and unsettling pitch at times.

The amazing thing was that; as much as I disagree with a great deal of his political ideologies, Obama handled all of the distractions and the controversies —- I refer to the man himself, not his tag-along followers; with a great deal of grace.  Obama did not run your “A typical” African-American campaign.  Obama ran a campaign like a very intelligent Harvard Graduate would run a campaign.  Obama’s campaign was not about the; whether real or imagined —- “Struggle.”

….and so, the election happened.  There was this release of an overwhelming feeling of, “Finally, it’s over.”  Obama Won.  The Republican Party got a lesson of how just how smart America really is, despite their attempts to paint Americans as complete idiots.  John McCain went back to the senate, Obama is now picking staff, Hillary, rewarded for her hard work, and maybe the Dog and Pony Shows, will be the new Secretary of State. Yeah, she is getting Condi’s old job.  As they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Bloggers and pundits —-Liberal and Conservative alike are now facing a very daunting task and that is, trying to figure out, what happens now? At the risk of sounding like Arlo Guthrie — I mean, most pundits and we Bloggers made it our life’s daily chore to analyze the Election.  I mean, Liberal Bloggers made it their life’s work to mock, and generally hate George W. Bush.  I mean…Now what?

I know what this author will do.  First, like many Americas who lived through the Bush era, I will happily put the past 8 years behind me.  I will, as someone who voted for Bob Barr, praise Obama after he is sworn in as President, when he does something that I think is great and wonderful.  Likewise, as a member of the loyal opposition, I will criticize Obama when I feel he has something that goes against the political beliefs that I hold as a somewhat Moderate Conservative Libertarian. It will be fair, not overly partisan, but rooted in what I consider to be fair.  I will not stoop to the stupidity of some on the right; who do feel the need to mock the man, every time he takes a breath.  However, my criticism will strictly be policy based.  Anything other than that is either racist in nature or goes into the realm of partisan idiocy.  Something I despise as a rule.

Therefore, there you have it.  Where we have been and where we are going.  Stick around; the mountaintop is coming on quickly.  I just want to be able to see it for myself.

There’s Still hope for America!

Yes, Ladies and Gents, It appears that there will be still some hope for balanced Government! 😀

Saxby Chambliss has won the race for Georgia Senate.

The numbers:

Chambliss (R) 1,145,192– Martin (D) 820,737 with 92% reporting as of this posting

This closes down the notion that Barack Obama would have a filibusterer proof Senate…..  yay! 😀

Some of you might be shocked to know that I am extremely happy about this. I am happy for a number of reasons; First off, this will force Obama to have to utterly abandon his agenda of radical socializing the United States of America. It will slow the Liberal agenda of some of the Liberal Left.

But most important of all, it insures that there will still some semblance of balanced Government in Washington D.C.; I believe that balanced Government is paramount in a free and democratic society.

So, while I would have like to have seen more Conservatives in the Senate. I’ll take this one!

A big congratulations to the Senator Chambliss! 😀

….and on a Personal note, Whitfield County, which is the County Seat for Dalton, Georgia voted 9,738 to 3,533 in favor of Chambliss, I guess them Dalton folk are smarter than I’ve given them credit for! 😉

Further Proof that Neo-Cons are Stupid

Man, I have not been up and hour and I am already reading stupidity.

From the Neo-Con Rag, The Weakly SubStandard, some bozo named Matthew Continetti Says:: (Commenting on this piece here)

How does the Times know what many Americans have been “feeling in their bones”? Does Edmund L. Andrews, who wrote the story, also cover orthopedics? And isn’t the appropriate saying here that Americans have been feeling recession pains “in their pocketbooks,” not their bones? Based on anecdotal evidence, I can report that all that most Americans feel in their bones is the onset of arthritis and maybe a strange tingling right before a thunderstorm.

No, you ignorant piece of stupid shit. The people of America have been feeling this in their fucking bones; because they have been feeling it in their fucking wallets. Of course, you wealthy fucking Neo-Cons would not know a damn thing about that. I mean, you’ve made your fucking money getting rich off being a cheerleader for that beedy-eyed son-of-a-bitch in the White House. So, you would not know what it is like to be under the gun financially.

Folks, do you need any more proof than this, that the fucking idiot Neo-Conservatives, who control the Republican Party at the moment; are so out of touch with the reality that they act as if they’re living in an alternative universe?

No wonder the Republican Party got their asses kicked to the wilderness by the Democrats. It’s because of this stupid shit right here.

Quote of the Day

Wounded and enraged by the atrocities of 9-11, America lashed out, first at Afghanistan and the al-Qaida source of the conspiracy, then at Iraq, which had nothing to do with the attacks. Thus did the Bush administration disunite its nation and forfeit its mandate.

For India to lash out at a Pakistan that was not complicit in the Mumbai crimes against humanity, but harbors elements within that are guilty and are celebrating, would be as great a mistake.

India and Pakistan both have a vital interest in no new war.

But a new war is exactly what the terrorists killed for and died for.

Should it come, they win — and enter history as revolutionary terrorists alongside Princip and the perpetrators of 9-11.

Yes Rush…. But!

Rush Says:

The conservative talk show host — who urged supporters during the primary season to back Clinton in an effort to prolong the bitter Democratic presidential nomination fight — told ABC’s Barbara Walters that Clinton’s selection as Secretary of State was “a brilliant stroke” by President-elect Obama.

He said the move was a political master stroke, effectively ruling out a primary challenge in four years. “You know the old phrase, ‘You keep your friends close and your enemies closer?’ How can she run for president in 2012?” he asks. “She’d have to run against the incumbent and be critical of him — the one who made her Secretary of State.”

The question is Rush, is whom exactly is getting “stroked” here.

The United States of America, that’s whom!  😮

I predict that this woman will be a DISASTER as Sec of State. You watch and see. 😡

Idiot moonbats. 🙄

We’re so damn screwed and these idiot, Neo-Conservative talking heads have got their heads so far up their asses that they don’t even see it. 😡

The High Price Tag of Nationalizing of America

Seeing I seem to be talking out of both sides of my mouth today. I give you some sobering news.

Want to know how much the bailouts are totally up to be? 700 Billion? That’s an old number now. Very old.

Try 8.5 Trillion. 8.5 flipping TRILLION BUCKS! …and for what? So some Wall Street Investment banks would not go out of business!

The L.A. Times has the story: (Thanks to Reason Hit & Run)

Indeed, analysts warn that the nation’s next financial crisis could come from the staggering cost of battling the current one.

Just last week, new initiatives added $600 billion to lower mortgage rates, $200 billion to stimulate consumer loans and nearly $300 billion to steady Citigroup, the banking conglomerate. That pushed the potential long-term cost of the government’s varied economic rescue initiatives, including direct loans and loan guarantees, to an estimated total of $8.5 trillion — half of the entire economic output of the U.S. this year.

Nor has the cash register stopped ringing. President-elect Barack Obama and congressional Democrats are expected to enact a stimulus package of $500 billion to $700 billion soon after he takes office in January.

The spending already has had a dramatic effect on the federal budget deficit, which soared to a record $455 billion last year and began the 2009 fiscal year with an amazing $237-billion deficit for October alone. Analysts say next year’s budget deficit could easily bust the $1-trillion barrier.

[…]

But even deficit hawks such as Walker acknowledge that the immediate crisis is priority No. 1. Just as with World War II, the government can worry about paying the bills once the enemy is defeated.

“You just throw everything you have at the problem to try to fix it as quickly as you can,” said David Stowell, a finance professor at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. “We’re mortgaging our future to a certain extent, but we’re trying to do things that give us a future.”

Washington could wind up spending substantially less than the sum of the commitments. Though the total estimated cost of the government’s efforts adds up to $8.5 trillion, only about $3.2 trillion has been tapped, according to an analysis by Bloomberg.

And not all the money committed is direct spending. About $5.5 trillion in loan guarantees and other financial backing by the Federal Reserve is included in the total.

“The only way those commitments would become obligations would be if the economy completely collapsed, in which case it’s a whole new ballgame anyway,” said John Steele Gordon, a business and economic historian.

Here’s why this even remotely bothers me. Because I, and everyone that reads this Blog; Your and My (if I ever have any) Children, their Children and their Children’s Children will be paying for this damn tab. Because our Government decided to prop up some banks that fund our stock market. All so Clinton could float some loans to high risk customers.

Now for the problem, that’s related to this.

It is official, we’re in a Recession!

CNN Reports: (H/T Meme)

The National Bureau of Economic Research said Monday that the U.S. has been in a recession since December 2007, making official what most Americans have already believed about the state of the economy .

The NBER is a private group of leading economists charged with dating the start and end of economic downturns. It typically takes a long time after the start of a recession to declare its start because of the need to look at final readings of various economic measures.

The NBER said that the deterioration in the labor market throughout 2008 was one key reason why it decided to state that the recession began last year.

Employers have trimmed payrolls by 1.2 million jobs in the first 10 months of this year. On Friday, economists are predicting the government will report a loss of another 325,000 jobs for November.

The NBER also looks at real personal income, industrial production as well as wholesale and retail sales. All those measures reached a peak between November 2007 and June 2008, the NBER said.

In addition, the NBER also considers the gross domestic product, which is the reading most typically associated with a recession in the general public.

Many people erroneously believe that a recession is defined by two consecutive quarters of economic activity declining. That has yet to take place during this recession.

So, the Government throwing all this money and bailing out everyone under the sun, except many the industries that need it, like the Auto sector, was a good thing to do, right?

Uh. No.

The financial market and credit crisis worsened during this summer, prompting Congress, the Treasury Department and the Fed to pump trillions of dollars into the economy through a variety of programs, including a $700 billion bailout of banks and Wall Street firms and hundreds of billions of lending by the Fed to major companies and lenders.

But Lakshman Achuthan, managing director of Economic Cycle Research Institute, said that at this point, the only solution for the recession is time.

“All the hand waving and real cash that policymakers are throwing at the problem won’t change the fact we’re stuck in this nasty recession,” he said. “The ultimate cure of a recession is letting it run its course.”

Achuthan’s research firm tracks weekly leading economic indicators that are supposed to signal a change in direction for the economy four or five months ahead of time. Those indicators are continuing to fall at a record pace.

Still, he said he’s not worried about the current recession turning into a depression, as many Americans fear.

“Even with indicators in a tailspin, this still is only a very severe recession,” he said. “There’s lots of gloom, but we don’t see doom.”

Of course, he did not use the word “Depression“, because he did not want to trigger a massive panic on wall street.  But the truth and the reality is, that we are on a slippery slope to a depression.  The difference between the two is this; The Depression of the late 1920’s and early 1930’s was caused by foolish investors, who basically “Bet The Farm” on a Wall Street bubble, and when that Bubble burst, those people lost it all. This time the depression or recession was caused by a Liberal President who forced an agenda, of giving loans to high risk recipients. When those recipients defaulted, because of a downturn in the economy, those loans went into default. When this happened, our Liberal Congress basically start plugging the holes in the sinking boat, or in this case, began pouring water into the bucket, but the bucket is full of holes; it works for a second, but the water does eventually run out.

The differences are night and day. There are no easy solutions, I wish that there was an easy solution, but most of it goes over my head. How this situation affects me is this; Jobs here in Michigan are scarce. This only compunds that sitution. A full scale depression only makes the prospects of getting another job even worse.  It is not a pretty picture, but it is one that is very well rooted in reality.

Giving credit Where it is due.

As many of you know, I spare no expense in giving the Republicans royal hell for the idiotic nonsense that went on during this election.

Well, it seems that some within the Republican Party are wanting to rebuilding things from the ground up.

One such person is Steven Lee and his Blog “The New Republican“.

I have Steven credit, he is trying.

Because it is very easy to sit on the outside and criticize the establishment, but it is a very hard and time consuming thing to work to change the establishment from within.

I give Steven credit, he’s working on it; and for that I commend him greatly.

It’s a start.

Good Luck Steven. 😀

Little late for that!

Here I go, talking out of both sides of my ass mouth again! 😛

Looking over at NRO’s Blog row, I find this little gem.

From NRO’s Planet Gore…. “Big Three Set to Become Green-Church Converts

Oy. Why weren’t the Big Three doing this crap in the 1990’s? Could it be because the OIL companies were lobbying for them NOT to persue this sort of agenda?

Liberal Moonbat NY Mayor Bloomberg hates Guns

Memeoramdum Sucks

That’s right, I said it.

Memeorandum got a mention on a U.K. News Blog.

Big fucking deal.

Why do I think that it sucks?

Well, for starters, there is just enough Conservative Blogs on there to keep the Conservatives from bitching about it.

The truth is the only blogs that get on that stupid service are new Blogs or those that get more than 5K hits a day, if you’re between those two groups, you’re basically fucking ignored.

Also, the damn service is ran by a San Francisco Liberal. He tries very hard to hide his bias. But if you’re smart and have the right tools, you can see the fucking bias. He does not fool me at all.

I use it, sparingly anymore. I sign up for RSS feeds, both Conservative and Liberal and Blog about what I see there. I don’t follow the herd anymore, if I get on that… whatever the fuck it is… service, fine, if I don’t, my life does not end.

Honestly, there is more to life that being the star of the show on some sobbish Meme Tag scanner.

Clinton 2.0

HillaryObama

During this Election the theme was all the rage; Change. A different kind of Government promised. A new direction. A new vision for America. A new start.

Sadly, that whole mantra turned out to be nothing but a campaign slogan. A well orchestrated lie. A lie that was ate up by the hungry masses who truly desired change.  A lie that was swallowed and digested by Conservatives and Republicans, Libertarians, and of course, the mindless masses that are known as Democrats.

I am, of course, referring to the appointment of Senator Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

This is the person, who’s husband’s administration killed seventy-six people including 21 children and two pregnant women in cold blood in Waco, Texas on February 28, 1993.

This is the same woman who’s husbands Administration sold the U.A.W. and the American auto worker up the river, when they passed North American Free Trade Agreement.

This is the same Woman, who’s husband’s Administration ripped a innocent boy from the arms of a loving family and forced him back to the hell that is communism on December 6, 1993.

No Hillary, We have not forgotten. Nor will we ever.

This appointment of Hillary Clinton shows that the Democratic Party has still not let go of the disastrous era, that is known as the Clinton era of the Democratic Party. It shows that this power hungry woman will never be satisfied until her poisonous pen has been dipped into the inkwell that is the oval office.
