When I am wrong, I am wrong and I was

Here I go, eating crow again! I wrote this on back on November 15, 2008:

Okay, here’s what is wrong with that up there. To infer that George W. Bush’s Administration and the Administration of President-Elect Barack Obama will be exactly the same, as much as I hate to say this about Mr. Rockwell; is just beyond crazy. Because we are talking about two totally different people; politically, ideologically and personally. I regret to say this, but for all of George W. Bush’s faults; the war, the scandals, everything — I have a real hard time sitting here and believing that he was an Imperialist, yes, he did have a very flawed vision of what he wished to accomplish in the middle east. Yes, he did take some advice from the likes of John and Neil Podhoretz. Yes, it was advice that ended up doing the President more harm that it did good in the end, politically. But to infer that he was a blind imperialist, is borderline Alex Jones sounding.

Believe me when I say this, I am about as a non-Bush fan as it comes, but I just cannot buy into the whole idea that Bush is some sort of Imperialist, being driven by some evil machine. Nor can I, with my normal functioning brain, sit here and believe that Barack Obama will do the exact same things as Bush. I just cannot do that. Because Barack Obama and the Democrats follow a totally different Political ideology than the Republicans. Now before anyone screams about the bailouts, I am fully aware of how Bush basically tossed fiscal Conservatism under the bus. I was not very happy about that. I also noticed that the bailout plan that he signed unto, has failed. But the truth is, he was forced into that, because he was told by the “so-called” experts, that it would work. Now it seems that the “experts” were wrong.

What I am basically trying to get at here is this. If the old school Conservatives or Paleo-Conservatives, and the Libertarians want to be taken serious by the rest of the Conservative movement and the Republican Party as a whole, they need to seriously look into stopping with the Alex Jones material and stick with policy and reality. Because not everyone buys into some of the sillier nonsense that I have seen within them circles. Not only this, but they need to really get away from the abject racism that I have, in fact, seen posted on some of their Blogs.

via Political Byline » Blog Archive » Lew Rockwell jumps the shark.

I do not believe that I was totally wrong about President Bush. But it is very clear now that I and a good number of other people; were wrong about President Barack Obama’s foreign policy. It made sense to me at the time. I really did not think President Obama to be a “warmonger” President. However, it does sadden me; that President Obama has basically done what Bush did, listening to the Neo-Conservatives and followed their advice.

Unlike the Jacobin Democrats who have invaded the Republican Party and that flatly refuse to be held responsible for their actions in the Arab World. I do accept mine and I apologize for even doubting for a minute that a Neo-Liberal would be any different from the previous Neo-Conservative President. So, yeah, I screw the pooch here; in a very big way.

Again, I do not claim to be an absolute authority on anything at all; least of all politics. In fact, I never really claimed to be an authority. Just an opinion guy.

Once again, Jack Hunter outs a slime ball Neo-Conservative for what he really is; a warmongering pig. Notice in this video, that Jack Hunter points out the differences between Neo-Conservatives —– and Paleo-Conservatives or American Conservatives who are against interventionist foriegn policy. Something that the Republican Party was for prior to the mass exodus from the Democratic Party in 1964. Then these Jacobin Democrats brought their foreign policy with them. That, my friends, is the problem and what brought us George W. Bush.

The Feckless Far Right: Exhibit B for Bigotry

The reason I am not very well liked in the Conservative Blogosphere, is because I dare to write stuff like this. I am sorry, but if this below is what the Far-Right in America is all about; then consider me to be a bit more moderate. Sorry, but this is just wrong, on many levels:

The First Amendment was written by the Founders to protect the free exercise of Christianity. They were making no effort to give special protections to Islam. Quite the contrary. We actually at the time were dealing with our first encounters with jihad in the form of the Barbary Pirates, which is why Jefferson bought a copy of the Koran. He was told by the Bey of Tripoli that Islam requires Muslims to rob, kill and pillage infidel Christians wherever they find them. Jefferson naturally found that hard to believe, so he bought a copy of the Koran to read it for himself. Sure enough, it’s right in there, in the 109 verses of the Koran that call for violence against the infidels. Islam has no fundamental First Amendment claims, for the simple reason that it was not written to protect the religion of Islam. Islam is entitled only to the religious liberty we extend to it out of courtesy. While there certainly ought to be a presumption of religious liberty for non-Christian religious traditions in America, the Founders were not writing a suicide pact when they wrote the First Amendment. Our government has no obligation to allow a treasonous ideology to receive special protections in America, but this is exactly what the Democrats are trying to do right now with Islam.

via Bryan Fischer: Islam and the First Amendment: privileges but not rights – RIGHTLYCONCERNED.COM.

What you are seeing above; is nothing more than racial and religious bigotry. What if you took out the words Islam and Muslims; and put in the words Jews or Catholics —– or even the word Negros? There would be a massive outcry of Biblical proportions. But because it is some so-called “Christian” speaking of Muslims, it is perfectly fine. 🙄  Wait, What? As I have said before; religious and racial bigotry are wrong; no matter whom is doing it and/or whom the victims are — whether it be black, Jew, latino and whatever else. Whenever we try to pit one against another; whether by class, race, or even Religion — we undermine the very basis for what this Country was founded upon.

If that was not bad enough; we have this pony-tailed idiot here, trying to smear ALL Republicans or Conservatives as agreeing with the guy:

Charles Foster Johnson, doing what he does best... Spouting Bullcrap!

Alright Johnson, I am not letting you get away with this one. How dare you smear me!?!?! It just so happens that I voted libertarian in the 2008 election and for the very first time; since I have been eligible to vote, I actually voted Republican in the 2010 elections. (Much to the chagrin of my Democratic Party voting parents….)  I want it to be publicly known; that I DO NOT AGREE at all, with this man’s opinion about Islam or Muslims. I personally believe that the first amendment applies to ALL, not just some; but everyone. Indeed, I have expressed reservations about Radical Islam. However, I disagree with the assertion that ALL Muslims are terrorists. That is nothing more than bigotry. I think Charles Johnson knows better than this; however, I believe he is trying to appeal to his reading audience. It is too bad too, because when you do this, you lose whatever credibility you ever had.

Now, let me be clear; I do agree with the fact that some people in the Republican Party do cater to this guy; and it is quite sad. However to imply or out right say that everyone who votes Republican agrees with these extremist views — is quite idiotic.

I think Charles Johnson needs to rethink collectivist stance a bit. Because it is making him look an an utter buffoon.

Previous Charles Johnson Buffoonery here.

Living Proof that Barack Obama is no damned different than George W. Bush

Well, it has finally happened; an increasingly irrelevant President is basically sending our American Military into harms way — to defend oil.  This after realizing that his words; were damned useless.

When I started blogging in 2006. I do so, because I was angry about the sloppy handling of the Iraq War; and to speak out against; what I felt was an unjustified invasion of a sovereign nation.  My views on war, have not changed, one lousy damned iota. I believe in justified war and use of Military action. This stupidity is not justified, at all.  It is; again, just the United States wanting to protect oil plants in Libya. Just like George W. Bush did, in Iraq.  The silence of the liberal left; and the Anti-War movement —- is deafening. After all, Libyan rebels told us to stay out of the conflict.

Having said that, I present this:

….and I ask you this; Liberals and Conservatives; who actually give two shits about the future of our Nation, Our Country and Our World:

What kind of World….are we leaving for our Children?

Until Obama can answer this honestly. He is nothing more than another Bush.

The more things change —- the more they remain the same. 🙁

Update: Not surprisingly, Andrew Sullivan agrees with me.

It all goes back to the Federal Reserve

I thought I would share this one with you all.

It seems that food prices are going up. I spotted this blog posting over at HotAir.com; which is, a Neo-Conservative Blog. Anyhow, Ed Morrissey points out that food prices are going up. Ed points to this story by the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Wholesale prices jumped last month by the most in nearly two years due to higher energy costs and the steepest rise in food prices in 36 years. Excluding those volatile categories, inflation was tame.

The Labor Department said Wednesday that the Producer Price Index rose a seasonally adjusted 1.6 percent in February — double the 0.8 percent rise in the previous month. Outside of food and energy costs, the core index ticked up 0.2 percent, less than January’s 0.5 percent rise.

Food prices soared 3.9 percent last month, the biggest gain since November 1974. Most of that increase was due to a sharp rise in vegetable costs, which increased nearly 50 percent. That was the most in almost a year. Meat and dairy products also rose.

Energy prices rose 3.3 percent last month, led by a 3.7 percent increase in gasoline costs.

Separately, the Commerce Department said home construction plunged to a seasonally adjusted 479,000 homes last month, down 22.5 percent from the previous month. It was lowest level since April 2009, and the second-lowest on records dating back more than a half-century.

The building pace is far below the 1.2 million units a year that economists consider healthy.

There was little sign of inflationary pressures outside of food and energy. Core prices have increased 1.8 percent in the past 12 months.

Still consumers are paying more for the basic necessities.

Why is it that prices are going up? Well, I can tell you why…. It’s called inflation. Something this guy here has been talking about for years:

Of course, Ed Morrissey, tries to credit the shrieking harpy and two bit phony Sarah Palin for this; but we thinking Americans know better. Sarah Palin most likely cannot even program her own VCR, much less understand the workings of the Federal Reserve. Ron Paul was saying this sort of stuff, when Sarah Palin was still playing with dolls and dreaming of being someone in politics as a child.

Scott Johnson over at Powerline, smartly and very accurately points to the federal reserve bank for this rise in food costs, he also points to a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed that warned of this sort of a thing happening. Yes, I know, Powerline Blog is decidedly Neo-Conservative; but when it comes to this sort of stuff, those guys are in the right frame of mind. I just wish I could convince them that imperialism is a sad mistake —- As are unconstitutionally declared wars.

It also turns out, that the Federal Reserve Bank is not the only part of the Federal Government that is a danger to it’s citizens. There is also other things that we should be, as citizens, worried about; like the ill-conceived and improperly named “Patriot Act.” As this video shows, that act is being used against citizens in a very bad way: (H/T RTR.Org)

The part about the raid on Walter Reddy, the founder of the modern Committees of Safety is in this video. I do encourage you all to watch it. If this man’s story is true. If someone does not like you; they can go to your local police department and makes up actual lies about you and cause the police to conduct a raid on your home. That my friends, is insanity.

As you might expect, I post this video with a disclaimer; Just because I post this, does not mean that endorse the products being sold or the overall conspiratorial tone of the video. I simply post this for informational purposes only.

Update: Mark this on your calendars; this one of the rare times, when I actually agree with Lew Rockwell.

Excellent Job Jack! 😀

Vox Day makes a good point

About this very stupid poll….

Thus Saith Vox Day:

This shows that the so-called right vastly favors an elephantine RINO over the only candidate who has any clue about the dreadful economic and geo-strategic situations in which the nation finds itself. Hell, they favor Newt Gingrich over Ron Paul! But at least give them credit for preferring Palin to Captain Underoos and the Huckster; they may be short-sighted and foolish, but they’re not complete idiots.

In other words, you can safely conclude that this is not the group that will be leading the charge for human freedom or a Constitutional restoration.

Heh. So true, quite sad, but very true. 😛

Yeah, I know, I swatted his butt once. But, once and while the guy does speak the truth. 😉

As much as I hate to say it: This guy does have a good point

My feelings about the so-called civility “New Tone” stupidity aside; this blogger does very much have a good point.

Now, this is not to say that there is not extremists on the left; there are. However, I do believe that there are radical elements to the far right, White Nationalist, part of the Conservative movement. Some of them showed up at CPAC and were chased off.  Some of them are of the Paleo-Conservative mindset and most of them are of the conspiratorial mindset. Which is not against the law; however, when you make a personal decision to use that mindset to commit crimes against other people, you lose your rights. Having an opinion is one thing; using that opinion to commit acts of violence against others is another entirely.

We as Conservatives; whether Neo-Conservative or Paleo-Conservative — who believe that Freedom and Liberty extends to EVERYONE; Black, White, Hispanic, Arab and every other damned race — should stand fast against these people and if you get wind of extremist activities; report them at once.

As it says on the video on the “About This Blog” page; anyone, and I mean anyone, who attempts to divide the American people by class warfare, racism, or Religion — seeks to destroy the very freedoms that the founding fathers fought for and won.

As this blogger did point out:

Of course, conservatives have been trying to whitewash away the existence of these radicals. Unfortunately for them — and the rest of us too — the radicals won’t let them do it for long.

As much as I hate say it; he does have a point. There are those on the right, who try and pretend that there is not radical element to the right. Let me say this; as a Conservative blogger, who is of the Paleo-Conservative/libertarian slant — yes, there are extremist and yes, even hate-filled corners within our movement and every now and again, as demonstrated in that link above, they do tend to act out. Which is sad, because those people totally miss the point of freedom and and Conservatism.

Bottom Line: We’re not all crazy. But we do have crazies in our midst.

Why Do Conservative Christians say and do stupid stuff like this?

Seriously, is there a stupid bug going around? First NPR and now this? I was not going to touch the NPR stuff, but hell, our side is in the stupid sauce too. So, I figure I might as well give this idiot the same treatment I would the left.

First off the Video: (Via CBN)

The full quote, least I be accused of something I did not do:

There’s no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate. And what I can tell you is that when I did things that were wrong, I wasn’t trapped in situation ethics, I was doing things that were wrong, and yet, I was doing them. I found that I felt compelled to seek God’s forgiveness. Not God’s understanding, but God’s forgiveness. I do believe in a forgiving God. And I think most people, deep down in their hearts hope there’s a forgiving God.

Somebody once said that when we’re young, we seek justice, but as we get older, we seek mercy. There’s something to that, I think. I feel that I’m now 67 I’m a grandfather. I have two wonderful grandchildren. I have two wonderful daughters and two great sons-in-law. Callista and I have a great marriage. I think that I’ve learned an immense amount.

And I do feel, in that sense, that God has given me, has blessed me with an opportunity as a person. Forget about all this political stuff. As a person, I’ve had the opportunity to have a wonderful life, to find myself now, truly enjoying the depths of my life in ways that I never dreamed it was possible to have a life that was that nice.

Let me get this straight; did he just say that he was screwing around on his wife —- because he loved the Country??!?!

Oh brother…. 🙄

This guy says that Gingrich sounds like Donald Trump:

While he is admitting that he did something wrong, he’s also trying to justify his behavior by aggrandizing himself. My own view is, when you’re owning up to something, you own up to it fully. You don’t try to explain or justify it yourself. The problem Gingrich faces when it comes to his personal problems is that the best possible argument a politician can make in these cases is that people should separate personal indiscretions from performance in office. Yet as leader of the effort to impeach President Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Gingrich is in the worst possible position to make that argument. So we’ll have to keep a close watch on how this goes over with the base.

Ouch! That’ll leave a mark! 😯

AllahPundit rounds up the snickering and giggle within the Conservative movement:

It ain’t just liberals and big media that are groaning at this explanation. Among conservative outlets/pundits that are rolling their eyes: The Daily Caller, Jim Geraghty of NRO, Philip Klein of AmSpec (who snarks, “Wilt Chamberlain must have really loved his country”), and John Podhoretz of Commentary, who advises Newt not to bother running after this bon mot.

Never thought I’d see the day that Neo-Conservatives would basically tell one of their own, “Nice try idiot!” But that day has arrived. 😛 ….and a great day it is! 😀

Oh yes, by the way…. remember what I said about prayer? The Republican Party; add it to the list — quick!

CNN Asks, “Are Whites racially oppressed?”

This is a very interesting article and I have very mixed feelings on it. On one hand, I think it is very fair of CNN to ask the question; on the other, I am very highly disappointed that they went to some very, shall we say, nasty people for their answers.

Via CNN:

(CNN) — They marched on Washington to reclaim civil rights.

They complained of voter intimidation at the polls.

They called for ethnic studies programs to promote racial pride.

They are, some say, the new face of racial oppression in this nation — and their faces are white.

“We went from being a privileged group to all of a sudden becoming whites, the new victims,” says Charles Gallagher, a sociologist at La Salle University in Pennsylvania who researches white racial attitudes and was baffled to find that whites see themselves as a minority.

“You have this perception out there that whites are no longer in control or the majority. Whites are the new minority group.”

Call it racial jujitsu: A growing number of white Americans are acting like a racially oppressed majority. They are adopting the language and protest tactics of an embattled minority group, scholars and commentators say.

The legitimate reasoning:

  • A recent Public Religion Research Institute poll found 44% of Americans surveyed identify discrimination against whites as being just as big as bigotry aimed at blacks and other minorities. The poll found 61% of those identifying with the Tea Party held that view, as did 56% of Republicans and 57% of white evangelicals.
  • More colleges are offering courses in “Whiteness Studies” as white Americans cope with becoming what one commentator calls a “dispossessed majority group.”
  • A Texas group recently formed the “Former Majority Association for Equality” to offer college scholarships to needy white men. Colby Bohannan, the group’s president, says white men don’t have scholarship options available to minorities. “White males are definitely not a majority” anymore, he says.
  • U.S. Census Bureau projections that whites will become a minority by 2050 are fueling fears that whiteness no longer represents the norm. This fear has been compounded by the recent recession, which hit whites hard.
  • You have this perception out there that whites are no longer in control or the majority. –Charles Gallagher, sociologist
  • Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh argued in a radio show that Republicans are an “oppressed minority” in need of a “civil rights movement” because its members willingly sit in the “back of the bus” and “are afraid of the fire hoses and the dogs.”
  • Fox talk-show host Glenn Beck led a march on Washington (attended primarily by white people) to “restore honor,” and once called President Obama a racist with a “deep-seated hatred for white people and white culture.” He later said he regretted making that comment.
  • Conservative news outlets ran a number of stories last summer highlighting an incident from the 2008 elections, in which activists from the New Black Panther Party appeared to be intimidating voters at a polling place. Those claims were never proven.

All of that stuff is very much legitimate, and I am fine with CNN reporting the story; because, quite frankly, I am one of these people.  However, here is my issue with this story:

Some white commentators are unapologetic about this racial anxiety.

Peter Brimelow, author of “Alien Nation: Common Sense About America’s Immigration Disaster,” asserts that much of white America’s anxiety derives from living under a black president and changing demographics.

Diversity, he says, “is not strength.”

Brimelow’s website, VDARE.COM, has been described as a hate site by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a group that tracks extremist groups in the U.S.

Some may see him as extreme, but Brimelow argues in his columns that more white Americans are moving toward his stance on immigration and other issues.

He cites as proof the rise of the Tea Party movement and the racial makeup of Beck’s march on Washington. He says more whites recognize, even if it’s only on a subliminal level, that they have common interests to defend.

“Of course, they would deny this, quite sincerely, if you put it to them because the idea of whites defending their interests as whites is quite new,” he says. “Americans are trained to think that any explicit defense of white interests is ‘racist.’ “

Sociologist Charles Gallagher says more whites regard themselves as an embattled minority group.

James Edwards, host of the “Political Cesspool” radio show, isn’t shy about naming those interests. He says white Americans have become the “dispossessed majority” and that coming demographic changes may turn the United States into a “Third-World flop-house.”

Edwards, who is considered a white nationalist by the Southern Poverty Law Center, says whites must organize like other stigmatized groups.

“There is nothing wrong for Jewish organizations to promote the self-interest of Jews or black organizations to promote the interest of blacks,” he says. “There is no organization to stand up to advance the interests of the dispossessed majority.”

Those white interests have been compromised by what he sees as the “preferential treatment” blacks have received in the job market to compensate for slavery, Edwards says.

“Whatever mistakes might have been made in our pasts, they have not only been corrected, but they’ve been overcompensated for,” he says.

Now whites are victims of pervasive racism, Edwards says.

“They’re the victims of it every day. Anything a white conservative does that a liberal doesn’t like is called racism.”

Both Brimelow and Edwards reject outright the Southern Poverty Law Center’s description of their organizations as extremist.

Okay, here is my issue with this part. Firstly, I do not believe that Peter Brimelow is a racist. But I know damned well that James Edwards is a racist and very much a bigot. I have listened to that “Political Cesspool” and I can tell you firsthand; that the political cesspool is nothing more than high-brow White Nationalism and Klanman mentality. Here is a few select quotes from this guy:

Among the things Edwards has written:

* August 11, 2008: “For blacks in the Americas, slavery is the greatest thing that ever happened to them. Unfortunately, it’s the worst thing that ever happened to white Americans.”

* In an August 6, 2008, post headlined “Jewish media reaches new heights,” discussing a Slate.com article by “Jew Timothy Noah,” Edwards wrote that the piece would “make sense once you understand that Jews are the ones who are always speaking in code; when they use words like ‘racists’, ‘bigots’, ‘anti-semites’, they simply mean white people.”

* In a July 9, 2008, post headlined “Great moments in Jewish journalism,” Edwards referred to a column by The Washington Post’s David S. Broder about former Sen. Jesse Helms as “another hatefilled Jewish attack piece.”

* In a July 30, 2008, post, Edwards asked: “If the WNBA [Women’s National Basketball Association] is so hell bent on diversity, why don’t they hire a couple of heterosexual players or coaches?”

* In a June 6, 2008, post headlined “Does she hate Whitey?” Edwards wrote: “Michelle Obama, that is. Uh, yeah, I’m pretty sure she does. Just like her husband. Just like about 90% of blacks.”

Yeah, I know where I got the quotes from, but when you’re rounding up the truth, you do what you gotta do; there is also this: (H/T Myself!)

Oh, man…if only they had read my book! Racism, Schmacism. All of this unpleasantness could’ve been avoided. This thing is such a mess I don’t even know where to start, and it’s pathetic and hilarious at the same time. I wanted to write about it last week, but I was just swamped, and now things have gotten even crazier with the whole NAACP/Tea Party brouhaha, so I might as well go for it.

Well, let’s just start at the beginning. Last week, the NAACP passed a resolution condemning the “racism” of the Tea Party movement, and demanding that the movement purge itself of those hideous “racists” in their grass roots movement. Yes, the very same mental midgets who just a few weeks ago were condemning a Hallmark greeting card with an outer space theme because they think “black holes” means “black hos”, an organization which is explicitly organized for the exclusive benefit of one race of people, and whose name contains the words “Colored People”, actually had the gall to pass this resolution.

This was a great opportunity for the Tea Party movement to show some backbone by laughing in the face of the imbeciles at the NAACP. But did they? Of course not. Predictably, they responded in the same tired, pusillanimous manner with which they always respond to these never ending accusations. Instead of replying with a loud BWAHAHAHA! or a “Yeah? What’s your point?” or “So what?” or “Of course we’re racists -we’re white people.

That’s what “racist” means or “Can any of you race hustlers even spell “racist”?”, they predictably went into their usual bend over and grab their ankles mode. They protested that oh no, we’re not racists at all, we don’t tolerate racists at our rallies which are really huge rainbow coalitions, and it’s the NAACP and the liberals who are the real racists, etc., etc. You know, the lame “Bull Connor was a Democrat!” defense. It never works, but they just keep trotting it out like some lucky charm in the vain hope that this time it will work.

Racist means white person. Period. Until the Tea Partiers get that through their heads, nothing’s going to change, and they’re never going to be an effective political force. They really, really need to read Racism, Schmacism.

No, what you need to do asshole, is to disappear or die of a massive heart attack. James Edwards motivation is one thing and one thing only; hatred of blacks, Jews, and any other minority that is not “Aryan” white. In this man’s case, is one instance when the Southern Poverty Law Center, as much as I dislike that organization; is absolutely correct. For the record, the man’s mentality is not that of a Republican; that damned mentality was cultivated by the Democrats of the south. After all, the Democrats are the one’s who created the original Klu Klux Klan of the 1800’s to harass and intimidate those blacks who tried to vote Republican.

James Edwards, is one of those people.

So, my point here is this; I do not mind CNN “Going There” as they say nowadays. But I would have much preferred if they would have used someone of a more legitimate status. Possibly someone like Pat Buchanan or someone like him. Instead of a third-rate, modern day Klansman like Edwards. Because really, the article sort of looks like it is trying to paint white people in a negative light.

Unless, maybe that was the intent in the first place.

So much for Democracy in Iraq

Next time some stupid moron Neo-Conservative tells you that Bush brought Democracy to Iraq, by invading it — show ’em this:

BAGHDAD – Among the revolts sweeping the Middle East and North Africa, Iraq’s has been an exception: Here, protesters are seeking to reform a democratically elected government, not to topple an autocrat. But protesters, human rights workers and security officials say the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has responded to Iraq’s demonstrations in much the same way as many of its more authoritarian neighbors: with force.Witnesses in Baghdad and as far north as Kirkuk described watching last week as security forces in black uniforms, tracksuits and T-shirts roared up in trucks and Humvees, attacked protesters, rounded up others from cafes and homes and hauled them off, blindfolded, to army detention centers.Entire neighborhoods – primarily Sunni areas where residents are generally opposed to Maliki – were blockaded to prevent residents from joining the demonstrations. Journalists were beaten. In most cases, regular soldiers and police officers simply stood aside, with one saying the matter was “beyond us.” In all, 29 people were killed.”Maliki is starting to act like Saddam Hussein, to use the same fear, to plant it inside Iraqis who criticize him,” said Salam Mohammed al-Segar, a human rights activist who was among those beaten during a sit-in. “The U.S. must feel embarrassed right now – it is they who promised a modern state, a democratic state. But in reality?”He shook his head.Last Friday, the U.S. Embassy here issued a statement saying that security forces appeared to have followed Maliki’s directive to allow peaceful protests. As reports emerged Saturday of the beaten journalists, the White House issued a statement saying that U.S. officials were “deeply troubled.” The U.S. Embassy has declined to comment further.

via Protesters say Maliki is using special security forces to shut down demonstrations in Iraq.

So much for that little pipe dream, eh? Iraq is no more a damned Democracy than North Korea. The elections over there were nothing more than a smoke screen to fool the American people into believing that the invasion in Iraq in 2003 was justified.  Which thinking Conservatives, like me, knew was a pack of damned lies. As was the whole WMD story.

Nice work Dubya! 🙄

Conservatives of all stripes should really be following this coming 2012 election. If whomever the Republican Party chooses to be our next President; starts talking about “exporting Democracy” to foriegn lands, that Conservative should not vote or vote for a third party. Forget the Democrats, they do the same stuff as Neo-Conservatives. Vote different, because America cannot afford no more General’s wars. Just that simple. Exporting Democracy does not work people and this story here is living proof of that.

Fixed rather funny typo. I meant WMD’s, not WND’s… More coffee!

It was only a matter of Time: Live Ammo rounds found outside Wisconsin State Capital Building

(Via Veal Pen Conservative Blogger Jim Hoft)

You can read about the story Here, Here, Here, Here.

Quote:

MADISON, Wis. — Police said they have found live ammunition scattered on the ground around the Wisconsin Capitol.University of Wisconsin Police Chief Susan Riseling said 41 rounds of .22-caliber ammunition were found Thursday morning scattered at several locations outside the Capitol. The revelation came as state attorneys asked a Dane County judge to order the Capitol closed for a security sweep. The judge made no immediate ruling on the request.Authorities said that most of the bullets were found near the State Street entrance to the Capitol and around the King Plaza.

and….:

Madison — State officials plan to ask a Dane County judge this afternoon for a court order that would allow police to remove all unauthorized people inside the State Capitol.

The judge, Dane County Circuit Court Judge John Albert, did not rule on the order.

The draft order states: “By 3 p.m., DOA shall order that all unauthorized people, including those who have remained in the State Capitol past the building’s closing, exit the building at its closing time and that no unauthorized people shall be allowed to remain in the building after its closing time from now on.

“DOA shall take such steps as are necessary to conduct a security check of the State Capitol building and grounds.”

The draft order says that, if unauthorized people don’t leave, police can fine, remove or arrest people.

The draft order also requests that the Department of Administration be allowed to remove unauthorized materials posted or hung on walls inside the Capitol. The proposed deadline for removing materials would be 6 p.m. Thursday.

The stated purpose of the proposed order is to conduct a security check of the building and grounds.

The proposed order says the state would report back to Albert by noon Friday with a status report and with a plan regarding access to the Capitol.

The request came after University of Wisconsin-Madison Police Chief Sue Riseling said in a Dane County courtroom on Thursday that police this morning found 41rounds of .22-caliber ammunition outside of the State Capitol.

Riseling said 11 rounds were found outside the State St. entrance, 29 rounds near the King St. entrance and one round near the Hamilton St. area.

She testified that, “I don’t like to see live ammunition when I see significant crowds,” she said before Dane County Circuit Judge John Albert. “The presence of that doesn’t thrill me.”

The disclosure came as organized labor continued its legal effort to force the state to provide more access to the Capitol.

Later, Michael Huebsch, secretary of the state Department of Administration, said that officials had approached protesters inside the Capitol on Wednesday night, asking them to leave.

He said that Riseling told him that she had approached all of the protesters and asked them to leave. He said she told him that they declined the offer, though some offered varying timelines for when they might leave.

Huebsch also said that Riseling told him that some of the protesters still in the rotunda had mental-health problems.

I have $20.00 in my pocket that says that the live ammo was left by a pro-walker protester in a attempt to get the protesters out of the building. Ann? How could you? 😉

I somehow doubt quite highly that any pro-union protester would leave live ammo like that; it just does not sound right. I could be wrong and quite frankly; I hope I am. But I just do not buy that some union goon would be that stupid.

If I am wrong, then so be it; I will take my lumps. But until then, I don’t buy it.

Video: Blowback from 9/11

The reason why I am posting this, is because I feel it needs to be shown. Andrew Sullivan and Digby the owner of the progressive blog Hullabaloo say this is hate and by definition, yes it is. However, I think more broadly, it is simply blowback; which is an C.I.A. term, from what happened on 9/11. Not only that, these people are simply fed up, with all the recent acts of terrorism happening in America and elsewhere, people are just simply fed up to their wits end.

Again, I do not justify these actions, at all. I simply think progressive liberals need to understand, that people are just fed up.

More than anything else, this just gets up my libertarian nose a bit. What if those were blacks? Ya know? I’m just sayin’

Why do Conservative Christians do stupid stuff like this?

This is un-farking-believable!

Via Nola.com:

The Rev. Grant Storms, the Christian fundamentalist known for his bullhorn protests of the Southern Decadence festival in the French Quarter, was arrested on a charge of masturbating at a Metairie park Friday afternoon.

The Times-Picayune archiveThe Rev. Grant Storms is hit by confetti as he leads his anti-Southern Decadence parade in the French Quarter in 2003

Storms, 53, of 2304 Green Acres Road in Metairie, was taken into custody at Lafreniere Park after two women reported seeing him masturbating in the driver’s seat of his van, which was parked near the carousel and playground, a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office report said.

The first woman told deputies she was taking her children to the playground and parked next to the van at about noon. As she was walking around her own vehicle, she noticed the van windows were down and the occupant was “looking at the playground area that contained children playing, with his zipper down…,” the report said. The woman noted that he was masturbating and quickly ushered her children out of her car.

She told a second woman, who walked to the van and also spotted the man masturbating, the report said. The second witness told deputies that the driver saw her and tried to conceal the zipper area of his pants with his hand.

The two women flagged down a park employee who notified the Sheriff’s Office. The employee detained the man, later identified as Storms, until deputies arrived.

Storms told deputies he was having lunch at the park when he decided to urinate using a bottle instead of the restroom, the report said.

Now that he’s caught, he admits he’s got a problem!

Via WDSU-TV:

NEW ORLEANS — The conservative pastor known for his condemnation of the Southern Decadence Festival was tearful and apologetic Tuesday in discussing his recent arrest. The Rev. Grant Storms called himself a “hypocrite” because of his Friday arrest on accusations of masturbating in a public park. Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s deputies charged him with obscenity after two women claimed they saw him touching himself while watching children on the playground at Lafreniere Park.Storms said in a news conference Tuesday that he was not watching the children, but he did have his hand in his pants. He apologized to those he has hurt, and he said he was sorry for targeting Decadence, an annual gay festival in the French Quarter.Storms said he is seeking help for a problem with pornography, which he called a recent issue. He also said he is not living at home — he held the news conference from a motel — and he asked for the media to respect his privacy.

I mean, I hate to sound cynical; but, why is it that people who are ate up with what other people do and feel it is their God-given duty to stop people from doing what they feel is wrong — always turn out to have a problem like this? It’s crazy. I heard a Baptist preacher say once, that Christianity was a “Bug-light” for the weirdos and the “hard cases.” He does not know how right he was!

The dude is in need of prayer, that is for sure — kinda like this Country.

Once Again, HotAir.com lies about Ron Paul

I like these guys; but when they resort to lies, I most expose them.

Ron Paul gave an interview with the News Real Blog, which is owned by the Neo-Conservative goon David Horowitz; who also, by the way, was a former far-leftist. Some would argue that he still is. Anyhow, It appears that this blog wanted to do a follow up.

Here is what Ron Paul really said about Israel:

NRB: David Horowitz and others have been critical of the effect that your foreign policy would have upon Israel… How would you describe a libertarian vision for alliance that could support democracies where people want to determine their own course while under threat by external forces?

Ron Paul: We’ve been involved a long time, since World War II, especially since we’ve inherited or developed our empire. We strongly supported all the dictators that surround Israel, and sometimes we buy peace and pay for it. But it’s unstable. And that instability has always been a threat to Israel. Now, when it’s coming apart, and our financial system’s coming apart, Israel is in worse shape than ever because of our so-called protection.

I believe in non-intervention. I believe we should treat all other countries alike, and that we should be friends. Israel is very, very powerful. If we weren’t in there, they could do what they want to protect themselves, and they wouldn’t have to ask us permission, and we would never have to be dragged in if something happens over there. I think they’d be much better off, and that would be a constitutional position.

NRB: Is there a point where the existence of Israel being under threat would compel even a libertarian to take action to protect her?

Paul: First off, they’re under threat because we’re there. We’re a greater threat to them, and our polices, because they have assumed that we’ll [intervene] if they don’t do the right things for themselves.

I don’t know of anybody who can militarily threaten them. They have 300 nuclear weapons. Nobody’s gonna touch them. This notion that we have to support them over the Palestinians – we shouldn’t favor one over the other. It’s a very different problem over there. If you’re a Palestinian-American, you might not like [America’s position on Israel]. I’m not saying you should support the Palestinian side or the Israeli side. I’m saying let them work it out.

…and what does HotAir.com put in their headlines as what Ron Paul said? This:

Ron Paul: We shouldn’t favor Israel over the Palestinians

Thus proving what I have believed about Neo-Conservatives since I have been blogging. That nothing matters to them, as long as the agenda of defending Israel to the death is followed —– even telling the truth. Ron Paul simply said, “Treat them all the same.” The way that headline was written, one would think Paul was anti-Israel or even Anti-Semitic.  To be fair, I disagree with this part here myself:

I believe in non-intervention. I believe we should treat all other countries alike, and that we should be friends. Israel is very, very powerful. If we weren’t in there, they could do what they want to protect themselves, and they wouldn’t have to ask us permission, and we would never have to be dragged in if something happens over there. I think they’d be much better off, and that would be a constitutional position.

The problem here is, there are more Arab nations and Israel is one small Country. If all these Arabs Nations were to decide to gang up on Israel; the results would disastrous. Now that, would not be a good thing to any normal, sane, rational person. That is, unless you are some sort of White Nationalist or Jew-Hater — and a good amount of Ron Paul followers are Jew-Haters, Conspiracy Kooks and just plain old weirdos. I personally, if Ron Paul were running, would not vote for him. Ron Paul is not going to run to actually win the election; he is running to spread his message. Some of Ron Paul’s biggest supporters admitted that to me. Plus, I do not agree with Paul’s strict isolationism.

My point here is this; I can understand someone not agreeing with Ron Paul’s policy stance; but when you resort to writing bogus headlines to make someone look like someone that they are not, you lose any sort of credibility. I also will say that HotAir is not the only blog to do this; it happens everywhere in the right wing Blogosphere. I try and shy away from that. Link baiting is a easy cheap way of getting hits. But the harder way is to write good content; I try to stay with the latter.

Uh-Oh: Days of Rage protests reach Iraq

Not to ripoff AllahPundit over at HotAir.com or anything…. But… gulp. 😮

Via Fox News:

BAGHDAD –  Thousands marched on government buildings and clashed with security forces in cities across Iraq on Friday, in the largest and most violent anti-government protests here since political unrest began spreading in the Arab world several weeks ago.

In two northern Iraqi cities, security forces trying to push back crowds opened fire, killing six demonstrators. In the capital of Baghdad, demonstrators knocked down blast walls, threw rocks and scuffled with club-wielding troops.

The protests, billed as a “Day of Rage, were fueled by anger over corruption, chronic unemployment and shoddy public services.

“We want a good life like human beings, not like animals,” said Khalil Ibrahim, 44, one of about 3,000 protesters in the capital Baghdad.

Like many Iraqis, he railed against a government that locks itself in the highly fortified Green Zone, home to the parliament and the U.S. Embassy, and is viewed by most of its citizens as more interested in personal gain than public service.

Oh, it gets worse too:

Demonstrators trying to get across a bridge going from the square to the Green Zone clashed with security forces. The demonstrators knocked down some of the concrete blast walls that were put up Thursday night and threw rocks at troops who beat them back with batons. Six riot police and 12 demonstrators were wounded in the melee, said police and hospital officials.

The protests stretched from the northern city of Mosul to the southern city of Basra, reflecting the widespread anger many Iraqis feel at the government’s seeming inability to improve their lives.

A crowd of angry marchers in the northern city of Hawija, 150 miles (240 kilometers) north of Baghdad, tried to break into the city’s municipal building, said the head of the local city council, Ali Hussein Salih.

Security forces trying to block the crow opened fire, killing three demonstrators and wounding 15, local officials said. The Iraqi Army was eventually called in to restore order.

In Mosul, also in northern Iraq, hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the provincial council building, demanding jobs and better services, when guards opened fire, according to a police official. A police and hospital official said three protesters were killed and 15 people wounded. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to brief the media.

Black smoke could later be seen billowing from the building.

In the south, about 4,000 people demonstrated in front of the office of Gov. Sheltagh Aboud al-Mayahi in the port city of Basra, Iraq’s second-largest city, 340 miles (550 kilometers) southeast of Baghdad. They knocked over one of the concrete barriers and demanded his resignation, saying he’d done nothing to improve city services.

They appeared to get their wish when the commander of Basra military operations, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Jawad Hawaidi, told the crowd that the governor had resigned in response to the demonstrations. Iraqi state TV announced that the prime minister had asked the governor to step down but did not mention the protests.

Around 1,000 demonstrators also clashed with police in the western city of Fallujah 40 miles (65 kilometers) west of Baghdad clashed with authorities, witnesses said. And in the southern city of Karbala, about 1,000 protesters rallied for better services.

The reason I say gulp is because, what happens if this goes totally out of control and we end up with another civil war in Iraq? Somehow, I do not see President Obama doing anything about it. if anything, he will just end up pulling our forces out of there; and by rights, he most likely should. We did our jobs, we did defeat Al-Qaeda and stopped the insurgency. So, why should we put more people into Iraq and risk more lives? It just would not make any sense.

Either way, it just does not look good for our guys on the ground there.

Why are Assassination threats only a huge ordeal for Obama, and not Conservative White Presidents?

It must be because it is Friday and there is not much else to report.

Anyhow, some idiot did the following:

At Rep. Paul Broun’s town hall meeting on Tuesday, the Athens congressman asked who had driven the farthest to be there and let the winner ask the first question.

We couldn’t hear the question in the back of the packed Oglethorpe County Commission chamber, but whatever it was, it got a big laugh. According to an outraged commenter on the article, the question was, when is someone going to shoot Obama?

I’ve asked Team Broun whether that was indeed the question and haven’t gotten an answer. The commenter accurately described the questioner and the circumstances, and no one has disputed his account.

Update: Broun’s press secretary, Jessica Morris, confirmed that the question was indeed, who is going to shoot Obama? “Obviously, the question was inappropriate, so Congressman Broun moved on,” she said.

Here was Broun’s response:

The thing is, I know there’s a lot of frustration with this president. We’re going to have an election next year. Hopefully, we’ll elect somebody that’s going to be a conservative, limited-government president that will take a smaller, who will sign a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare.

He then segued into Republicans’ budget proposal.

Dumb? Yes. Illegal? Possibly.

The left, predictably, is going, um, “Ape Shit” over it. Perfect example, Oliver Willis: (H/T The Right Sphere)

All Americans should condemn assassination speech, but especially if you’re a member of congress. What an epic shame. What a blight these people are on our government.

Um, Mr. Willis, Where were you, when these people were walking around with signs like this? (H/T NewsBusters)

Where were you Oliver, when these things was being paraded in the streets?

Oh, I know where you were Mr. Willis; you were out there helping CARRYING these signs and things around, weren’t you?

How is it, when a White Conservative Republican is in the White House and liberals threaten to kill him —- it is perfectly fine. But you let a socialist Negro in the damned White House and just because someone dares to verbalize what many in the silent majority are thinking; that is some sort of a fucking federal crime? Tell me that! By the way, I call him a socialist Negro, because that is what the hell he is, I do not believe in Political Correctness on this blog. I call it like I see it.

By the way, Mr. Willis and rest of idiot liberals; you can breath a little easier:

UPDATE, 11:50 a.m.: In a new statement Rep Paul Broun appears to admit he should have condemned his constituent:

Tuesday night at a town hall meeting in Oglethorpe County, Georgia an elderly man asked the abhorrent question, “Who’s going to shoot Obama?” I was stunned by the question and chose not to dignify it with a response; therefore, at that moment I moved on to the next person with a question. After the event, my office took action with the appropriate authorities.

I deeply regret that this incident happened at all. Furthermore, I condemn all statements — made in sincerity or jest — that threaten or suggest the use of violence against the President of the United States or any other public official. Such rhetoric cannot and will not be tolerated.

*****************************************************************

(****)

“In this case this was poor taste,” the source says. “The person realized that.”

Now there’s the small matter of whether Broun regrets not condemning the comment. My understanding is more will be forthcoming from his office on this soon, so stay tuned.

Happy now crybabies? 🙄

Anyhow, yeah, it was stupid; I will admit that, but where was all of that outrage, when the liberals were wanting Bush dead? Fucking hypocrites, the damned whole lot of them. 😡

Note: I just noticed the silly typo in the headline. Hug ordeal? Good Lord. 🙄 I fixed it.

Yikes! Anti-Semitism during Union Demonstration at Freedom Works HQ?

This is rather bizarre. First some dude hits a lady’s camera, and now this? Whoa. 😮  This whole thing is going in a rather strange particular way.

This guy explains it:

As Lenin said: “Who, whom?”

UPDATE: Tikkum olam is a rabbinical concept that might properly be translated as “for the public good,” but which in the modern era has been politicized by many on the Left, so that it is indistinguishable in their interpretation from “social justice.” Most famously, Michael Lerner — a 1960s anti-war radical who once led an SDS splinter group called the Seattle Liberation Front — named his magazine Tikkun.

I am assuming that Ben Howe is Jewish; That is a new one on me. and This ugly leftist must be Jewish too, she certainly ugly enough to be one. (D’oh! I am so bad… 😛 )

So, does this make this little incident, Jew Vs Jew, you know; kinda like Spy Vs Spy?

I’m just sayin’ ya’ll. 😉

Others: The Other McCain, Breitbart.tv, Fire Andrea Mitchell! and Pajamas Media

Note: Sorry about that misspelling in the headline. I just woke up here, due some awful heartburn. I love ya Mexico, but your food plays hell on my tummy! 🙁 I know, I know, go from picking on Jews to Mexicans; Hey, at least I am fair and…slightly balanced. 😀

UPDATED: When the right advocates violence, they get into trouble; the left, not so much Duputy AG FIRED for comments made!

First of all; let me be clear on something here. I do not, nor have I ever advocated for violence on this blog. I have jokingly made snarky comments at times. But I would never use violence or encourage others to use violence against anyhow.

Having said all of this; it seems that a Conservative Attorney General made some comments on twitter and now finds himself in some very hot water: (H/T to some moron Blogger)

Via Mother Jones:

On Saturday night, when Mother Jones staffers tweeted a report that riot police might soon sweep demonstrators out of the Wisconsin capitol building—something that didn’t end up happening—one Twitter user sent out a chilling public response: “Use live ammunition.”

From my own Twitter account, I confronted the user, JCCentCom. He tweeted back that the demonstrators were “political enemies” and “thugs” who were “physically threatening legally elected officials.” In response to such behavior, he said, “You’re damned right I advocate deadly force.” He later called me a “typical leftist,” adding, “liberals hate police.

Only later did we realize that JCCentCom was a deputy attorney general for the state of Indiana.

As one of 144 attorneys in that office, Jeff Cox has represented the people of his state for 10 years. And for much of that time, it turns out, he’s vented similar feelings on Twitter and on his blog, Pro Cynic. In his nonpolitical tweets and blog posts, Cox displays a keen litigator’s mind, writing sharply and often wittily on military history and professional basketball. But he evinces contempt for political opponents—from labeling President Obama an “incompetent and treasonous” enemy of the nation to comparing “enviro-Nazis” to Osama bin Laden, likening ex-Labor Secretary Robert Reich and Service Employees International Union members to Nazi “brownshirts” on multiple occasions, and referring to an Indianapolis teen as “a black teenage thug who was (deservedly) beaten up” by local police. A “sensible policy for handling Afghanistan,” he offered, could be summed up as: “KILL! KILL! ANNIHILATE!

Early Sunday, Mother Jones sent an email to Cox’s work address at the Indiana attorney general’s office, asking if the Twitter and blog comments were his, and if he could provide context for some of them. He responded shortly after from a personal email address: “For ‘context?’ Or to silence me? All my comments on twitter & my blog are my own and no one else’s. And I can defend them all.

“[Y]ou will probably try to demonize me,” he wrote, “but that comes with the territory.”

Well, looks like the guy ended up in some seriously hot water, the story continues via Mother Jones:

This morning, Mother Jones reported that Jeff Cox, an Indiana deputy attorney general, had called for using “live ammunition” against Wisconsin protesters. Cox’s bosses have issued a statement noting that they are conducting an “immediate review” of the prolific tweeter and blogger and that the state attorney general will take “appropriate personnel action” when the review of the “serious matter” is complete. The statement:

The Indiana Attorney General’s Office does not condone the inflammatory statements asserted in the “Mother Jones” article and we do not condone any comments that would threaten or imply violence or intimidation toward anyone. Civility and courtesy toward all constituents is very important to this agency. We take this matter very seriously.

An immediate review of this personnel matter is now under way to determine whether the assertions made in the “Mother Jones” article about an employee are accurate. When that review is complete, appropriate personnel action will be taken.

The reporter who wrote the “Mother Jones” article informs us that the offensive postings over the weekend were made using a personal Twitter account and personal email, not a state government email account.

As public servants, state employees should strive to conduct themselves with professionalism and appropriate decorum in their interactions with the public. This is a serious matter that is being addressed.

Any other time; I would say this guy got what was coming to him. Because he is in public office. Because it is one thing to be a private citizen and say something along these lines. But it is another entirely to be a public servant and make such comments as this.

However, let us look at something, shall we? It was not to long ago; that some rapper, made a vile and disgusting video, which mentioned Michelle Malkin and Sean Hannity and a few other Conservative media types in it. It has since been made private on youtube, because of the backlash. Here is that video, I happened to download it and upload it to liveleak:

At the time, Michelle Malkin wrote about it and So did I. I get the fact that one person was in office and one was not; so, why did not this video make it to Mother Jones and get reported on and be denounced by the MSM? That is because the liberals in the Country; black, white, Hispanic and otherwise, get a free pass on stuff like this, because it is against Conservative and anyone else who happens to agree with the agenda of the liberal left in this Country. If a Conservative person had made a video of that nature and the tables turn on the racist comments. It would have been reported everywhere. But, because this was black against white, the liberals see it as “Art.”

Again, do not misunderstand me here; what that idiot said was stupid for an elected official to say publicly. But it sure seems like the liberals get a pass on things, like the video above and a Conservative who’s foolish enough to verbalize something, as this one did; really get put through the proverbial wringer. It is a double standard and it is wrong, period.

Update: Jeff Cox has been fired as Deputy AG:

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indiana Attorney General’s office announced Wednesday afternoon its deputy attorney general is no longer employed by the agency, after reviewing political website Mother Jones’   published allegations that he advocated the use of force against protesters in Wisconsin.

According to the online article , Jeff Cox tweeted “Use Live Ammunition” in response to a Mother Jones tweet reporting riot police had been called into the state capital to remove protesters.

Mother Jones later learned Jeff Cox held a post as an Indiana official.

In a statement released Wednesday afternoon, the Attorney General office said, “Civility and courtesy toward all members of the public are very important to the Indiana Attorney General’s Office. We respect individuals’ First Amendment right to express their personal views on private online forums, but as public servants we are held by the public to a higher standard, and we should strive for civility.”

Two thoughts, this guy; as much as I hate to admit this, got what was coming to him. If you are in public office, you just do not make stupid comments like this, anywhere. Also, the other thought is, oh wonderful, this guy will become a martyr for the far right; the whole, “I was standing up for my Country and exercising my first amendment rights — and was fired for it!” will be used to justify his actions.  The sick and sad part is, the far right will eat this crap up. Never mind the fact that he was Government official; but he also serves ALL of the people, not just the Conservative ones. Anyhow, it is a sad situation. Indiana just lost a Deputy A/G and the far-right just gained a pivot man. (if you know what I mean…)

UPDATE: More proof that Sarah Palin is an idiot. Facebook account closes, Palin says it is not hers

This, my friends, is a sign that she is totally ate up with herself:

Sarah Palin has apparently created a second Facebook account with her Gmail address so that this fake “Lou Sarah” person can praise the other Sarah Palin on Facebook. The Gmail address is available for anyone to see in this leaked manuscript about Sarah Palin, and the Facebook page for “Lou Sarah” — Sarah Palin’s middle name is “Louise” — is just a bunch of praise and “Likes” for the things Sarah Palin likes and writes on her other Sarah Palin Facebook page. “Lou Sarah” even says “amen” to Facebook posts by Sarah Sarah.

So we’ve been reading this leaked Palin book. Interesting read! But this manuscript doesn’t seem quite ready to be published, despite it being leaked around to the entire Internet. Frank Bailey and his co-authors excerpt a bunch of Sarah Palin’s e-mails, and one page of these excerpts shows Palin’s personal Gmail address. We searched for this address on Facebook, the way millions of people search for people on Facebook every day, and it appears that Palin keeps a second Facebook account. Besides staying in touch with Sarah Palin’s father Chuck Heath, what does “Lou Sarah” use Facebook for? Saying “amen” to her own Facebook fan page missives, in the guise of a completely different person. “Lou Sarah” also really “LIkes” Bristol Palin’s Dancing With the Stars photos.

via Sarah Palin Has Secret ‘Lou Sarah’ Facebook Account To Praise Other Sarah Palin Facebook Account

I mean, I am not one to judge; but, my God. Creating a second facebook account; to praise herself?!?! 🙄

The woman is crazy, plain and simple.

Others: TPM LiveWire, Outside the Beltway, The Daily Dish, AOL News, Politics Daily and Gawker

Update…. and Just like magic, Via Wonkette:

Oh, it looks like we spoke too soon. Somebody finally shut down the “Lou Sarah” account, either while we were writing that last post or after it went up. So we guess Palin’s statement last night is true. Her public page is her only account, currently, as “Lou Sarah” is no more. Meanwhile, our repeated e-mails to Sarah Palin’s private e-mail account, as it was listed in her former advisor’s leaked book, continue to be unreturned. But we’re not getting delivery errors back, so the account still exists. We’ll let you know when that gets shut down too, we guess.

Sarah Palin says it was not her account.  Sarah Palin also said her daughter was not knocked up too, when that first broke too. She also says Trig is her baby too.  🙄

I’m just sayin!

She’ll never be president; if she even fucking tries, I will make it my life’s goal to destroy that bitch; I assure you of that. She’s not a Conservative, she is a feminist and a liberal populist and I will do everything within my means to stop her from the nomination. You have been warned, Mrs. Palin. 😡
