My thoughts on the Debates

I personally think the debate was draw. I am not in the tank for either, so, I cannot sit here and lie to you.

Yes, there were gaffes on both sides. Palin, at times, did not even answer questions by the moderators. She also took a rather nasty swipe at Biden about his family in the military.

Also, a rather disconcerting event took place last night. When Biden got emotional about his wife and son who died in a car accident. There were some on a unnamed blog that mocked this in their debate chatroom.  I brought it up to two of the moderators in the room in private and of course, both claimed not to see it. I was not amused. Angry I know Liberals do it, does that still make it right? No. To be fair to Ed, it was not his normal crowd that meets at 3:00p.m. weekdays. But still, someone was asleep at the switch and that was not a good thing.

Anyhow, the bottom line is, that Biden did not do anything that hurt Barack’s campaign, neither did Palin, I think. So, as far I am concerned, it was a draw.

Great Local News: Threaten a Conservative Blogger? Land your sorry butt in JAIL!

Finally, justice has been served. Color me a very, very happy camper!

Via The Detroit Free Press:

A federal judge today sentenced a Dearborn restaurant cook to 8 months in prison for e-mailing death threats to conservative TV commentator and blogger Debbie Schlussel.

“I find it abhorrent,” U.S. District Judge Marianne Battani told Mohamad Fouad Abdallah, 40, of two e-mails he sent to Schlussel one minute apart in August 2006.

Schlussel, who lives in Oakland County, is an outspoken critic of what she calls government tolerance of Islamic extremists in the United States. She told Battani that the e-mails, in which Abdallah used sexist and Anti-Semitic remarks against her and threatened to rape and blow her up, had caused her to fear for her safety and become somewhat of a hermit.

The e-mails were prompted by views she expressed on her Web site, http://www.debbieschlussel.com . On her Web site, she refers to Dearborn as “Dearbornistan.”

She urged Battani to sentence Abdallah to the maximum 12 months in prison on the misdemeanor charge — interfering with Schlussel’s federally-protected activities. He pleaded guilty in June.

One of the e-mails said Hizballah, a Lebanese group that the U.S. State Department has designated a terrorist group, “is awesome.”

Abdallah, breathing from an oxygen tank, told Battani he was ashamed of what he had done and that he has suffered health problems ever since. Schlussel called the oxygen tank a prop and accused him of trying to gain sympathy from the judge.

Battani ordered Abdallah to undergo mental health and diversity training after getting out of prison. She lectured him about teaching fear, murder and intolerance to his 9-year-old daughter.

As I said over on Debbie’s Blog, this sentence was not nearly long enough. Further more, I hope the bastard rag-headed son of a bitch DIES in prison. Anyone who would threaten a blogger, much less a female blogger, does not deserve to live. He received exactly what was coming to him. However, I believe he should have received at least 10 years or more. Angry

Now, if we could just round up the rest of the idiot internet trolls, like these internet terrorists here, then my life would perfect. Hey Debbie, want to help out a fellow Conservative? Devil

Shocking News: McCain pulls Campaign out of Michigan

Some very stunning news via The Politico:

John McCain is pulling out of Michigan, according to two Republicans, a stunning move a month away from Election Day that indicates the difficulty Republicans are having in finding blue states to put in play.

McCain will go off TV in Michigan, stop dropping mail there and send most of his staff to more competitive states, including Wisconsin, Ohio and Florida. Wisconsin went for Kerry in 2004, Ohio and Florida for Bush.

A McCain aide confirmed the move and chalked it up to the state’s Democratic tilt and the resources Obama had put in place there.

“It was always a long shot for us to win,” said the aide.

McCain will now turn his attention to bolstering his defenses in Ohio and Florida while putting more resources into Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and the second congressional district of Maine, where there is a sole electoral vote available.

Obama’s campaign offered a muted response to McCain’s decision to abandon Michigan, only promising to keep it in the Democratic column.

“We will continue to fight for every vote in Michigan because middle class families there just cannot afford more of the same,” said Obama spokesman Bill Burton.

Republicans had been bullish on Michigan, hopeful that McCain’s past success in the state in the 2000 primary combined with voter dissatisfaction with Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm and skepticism among blue-collar voters about Barack Obama could make it competitive.

McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin spent the first night after the GOP convention at a large rally in Macomb County, just outside Detroit. The two returned later last month for another sizable event in Grand Rapids.

But recent polls there have shown Obama extending what had been a small lead, with the economic crisis damaging an already sagging GOP brand in a state whose economy is in tatters.

A McCain event planned for next week in Plymouth, Mich., has been canceled.

I guess I am supposed to be shocked, angered or something. But, I am not, at all. Because quite frankly, this is Liberal country around here.  It has been since right after the depression. So, I do not find this to be of any great shock. Plus, I believe John McCain just never took off here. Sarah Palin helped, but now she’s slipped in the polls too. So, this isn’t a great surprise for me.

Of course, I know that I am not voting for the “Magic One” myself. I am voting for Bob Barr come November. Mainly because I just do not consider John McCain to be a authentic Conservative and because I’m a bit more libertarian than I am a Republican anyways.

So, In short, while it is a bit of a shock, I am far from surprised.

"Bail out" Bill passes first hurdle, goes to the house

Hurdle one passed, now let’s see if it makes it out of the House.
Senate endorses bailout as economy stutters (Via Reuters):

The Senate endorsed a revised $700 billion plan to tackle a financial crisis that has shaken world markets and drawn warnings of approaching economic catastrophe.

The plan now faces a final hurdle in the House of Representatives, which rocked global markets this week by rejecting an earlier version. President George W. Bush, speaking after Wednesday night’s 74-25 Senate vote, called the bailout “essential to the financial security of every American”.

Personally, I expect the bill to pass the House. Because Democrats and Republicans both agree that this thing is needed, badly.  What I do expect to continue to see is a resistance amongst fiscal conservatives amongst the grass roots. Not that I think that there’s anything wrong with it. Because personally, like I’ve said on here before. I am just not that thrilled with the idea of our banking system being nationalized. However, from a middle class stand point and from the standpoint of someone who lives in a state where unemployment is higher than the rest of the country. I think allowing our economy to grind to a halt is just not a smart idea.

More on the House part:

Leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives expressed cautious optimism that the legislation would be approved.

Senate leaders hope that sweetening the plan with a tax cut and extended federal protection for bank deposits can turn “no” voters into supporters. On Monday, the House rejected the previous version of the plan by a 228-205 vote.

“It’s still uncertain. I think it is likelier to pass than before,” House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank said in an interview on CNN.

“The main change is reality. I think that it’s not possible now to scoff at the predictions of doom if we don’t do anything,” the Massachusetts Democrat added.

Many Americans resent the idea that Wall Street is being “bailed out” at taxpayer expense, and have made their views clear in emails and calls to Washington, putting pressure in particular on vulnerable members of the House.

Thus exposing why the house members are gun shy on voting for this bill:

All 435 House seats will be contested in the election on November 4, as opposed to 35 seats up for grabs in the Senate

While they may want to save the country, they also want to keep those cushy senate jobs too. Hee hee

Overall, it should be an interesting vote. One that I shall follow here on this Blog.

Ruh-Roh!

Via GretaWire:

I confirmed for us here on GretaWire: the McCain campaign did NOT know about Gwen Ifill’s book (I think I told them when I made my efforts – emails about midnight – to find out!) I am stunned….the campaign (actually both) should have been told before the campaign agreed to have her moderate. It simply is not fair – in law, this would create a mistrial.

(read two blog entries before this one to understand the content of this one

As AllahPundit puts it, so very well, It’s called Google! (Not THE google, as it is been called by several well-known MSM types… Google is not a living breathing person or animal.. It’s a web indexing service for the purists.. 😀 )

I’m not a betting man, as a rule, but I’d be willing to bet a new wireless mouse, (Which I need, BADLY!)  that the McCain Campaign is on the horn with the debate commission saying stuff like, “Um, Can we like get someone else to do this, please?”

Presidential Debate Moderator in the tank for Obama

It appears that the liberal media’s bias towards Obama is now leaking into the supposed apolitical world of Presidential debates.

Michelle Malkin has dutifully recorded the fact that the moderator of these upcoming debates is seriously in the tank of Obama. I guess we can forget about any serious questions being asked of Joe Biden, about his ties to lobbyists. I also suppose we can expect all sort of stupid “Gotcha” questions to Palin and will see a concentrated effort to make Sarah Palin look like some sort of a buffoon.

There’s one thing in Michelle’s article that I very much disagree with, trust me, it is not what you think….:

Like Obama, Ifill, who is black, is quick to play the race card at the first sign of criticism. In an interview with the Washington Post a few weeks ago, she carped: “[N]o one’s ever assumed a white reporter can’t cover a white candidate.”

It’s not the color of your skin, sweetie. It’s the color of your politics. Perhaps Ifill will be able to conceal it this week. But if the “stunning” “Breakthrough” she’s rooting for comes to pass on January 20, 2009, nobody will be fooled.

Michelle, I must respectfully disagree with you assessment here. This is all about skin color. Why do I say this? I will tell you why, because there is an unwritten code amongst the African-American race. It is summed up in the ghetto-type statement, and that statement is:

“A Brother just don’t cut another Brother”

In educated normal American English, that is translated as such:

“An African-American does not stab another African-American in the back”

The point that I am trying to make here is this, if you believe that there will be any sort of legitimate debate here, without bias or favoritism towards the Democrats and more importantly towards Barack Obama’s running mate, you are very highly mistaken.

This unwritten rule dates back to the days of slavery. When a black slave would do something wrong, the White slave owners would question, to find out who did the offense, often so they could beat the slave. Because the black slaves did not want the fellow slave to be beaten, they would not “fess up.” This is where this and the whole “stop snitching” doctrine did originate.

This is not about racism, this about historic facts. Putting another African-America as the moderator of this Presidential debate, would be like asking David Duke to preside over a trial of white supremacists.

New Video: Vets for freedom Ad to air in California

This ad is to Air in California:

Text from the Site:

Today Vets for Freedom released “Skipped” as part of a continuing campaign to urge Senator Obama to tell the Truth about the Surge and fully acknowledge U.S. success in Iraq. The $2.2 million dollar statewide television advertising campaign is VFF’s largest expenditure in a single state buy thus far on this issue. The ad will air in California on October 1st and run through October 9th.

Senator Obama repeatedly denies that the surge worked, contradicting reports from top commanders on the ground in Iraq, yet has only been to Iraq twice and has missed countless votes regarding the mission. VFF released “Skipped” to underscore Senator Obama’s failure to be informed of the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan in order to ask him, and Congress, to support passage of legislation in the U.S. Senate that recognizes the success of the surge and our troops

Click here to read Sen. Resolution 636.

Click here to read Sen. Obama’s previous statements about the surge.

I just wonder if the “Magic one” will try and employ his goon squads to silence these commercials too? Oh, I forgot this discussion is not helping Michelle Obama’s brat kids.

I guess I’ll let that little nugget out of the bag. A few days ago, I received an e-mail from a source, which I will never reveal, letting me know, that I, as a Blogger, should not buy the lie that Obama’s two girls are darling children. The truth is, both of those girls are nothing more than snotty nosed little harpy brats. In fact, one reporter tried “Correcting” them for something they did and the Obama campaign threatened to have that person tossed off the plane. So, a word to the wise. Don’t believe everything read about this man and his family.

Shocka! The Media is in the tank for Obama!!!!

Well, Maybe not…. (On the shock, that is….)

Instapundit.com:

A READER AT A MAJOR NEWSROOM EMAILS: “Off the record, every suspicion you have about MSM being in the tank for O is true. We have a team of 4 people going thru dumpsters in Alaska and 4 in arizona. Not a single one looking into Acorn, Ayers or Freddiemae. Editor refuses to publish anything that would jeopardize election for O, and betting you dollars to donuts same is true at NYT, others. People cheer when CNN or NBC run another Palin-mocking but raising any reasonable inquiry into obama is derided or flat out ignored. The fix is in, and its working.” I asked permission to reprint without attribution and it was granted.

I take it that I am supposed to be shocked and surprised? Hardly. Considering what has taken place in the past 8 years with this Presidential Administration, I am surprised that the Liberal Media has not trotted out some person claiming that McCain molested them, when they were a kid or something obscene of that effect.

Before anyone gives me any static, I’ll be the first to admit, I am not, nor have I ever been a Bush fan, at all. No, I don’t suffer from BDS. But his spending like a drunken Sailor and big government horseshit, just does not appeal to this Libertarian Conservative, and I’ll be happy to tell someone who has a problem with that, to go jump in the lake.

Via WDIV Detroit: (and Confirmed in the Detroit News)

DETROIT, Mich. — This February Detroiters may see a familiar name on the special primary election ballot.Coleman A. Young Jr. wants to follow his famous father’s footsteps, and run for Detroit mayor. He is the son of late Mayor Coleman A. Young Sr., who was Detroit’s first black mayor, and served from 1974 to 1993.

Young Jr. turns 26 in October, and if elected he would be the youngest mayor in Detroit’s history. He vows to continue his father’s legacy of being the “People’s Champion.

“Young Jr. is a state representative in the 4th District of the House. He moved back to Detroit in 2005 after spending several years on the East Coast, doing some acting.

The Good Lord above knows that the last thing that Detroit needs is another Coleman Young running Detroit. Democrat Coleman Young’s corruption is stuff of legend. I know, I’ve lived in the Detroit area, all my life. I lived in Detroit for 19 years of my life. I saw Coleman Young’s way of running a city. One word sums it up: Disaster.

Quoting the Detroit News:

But critics like political consultant Adolph Mongo say Young is not ready for prime time and should take more time to learn.

“I worked for his father. I knew Coleman Young,” Mongo said. “And he’s no Coleman Young. Coleman Young had a lifetime of dealing with politicians
and social issues. He needs to sit down somewhere and get some experience.”

[…]

Bill Ballenger, editor of the newsletter Inside Michigan Politics, said Young “might do a lot better than a lot of people think” in a
mayoral race.

“He has some of his father’s pizzazz,” Ballenger said Monday. “I wouldn’t underestimate him, but I wouldn’t tap him as  the favorite, either.”

I can almost see it now. The man loses and what does he do? Pull the race card. But then again, we are talking about Democrat’s they do the identity politics thing, very well.

Please, anyone, but him. 🙄

Think the bailout failure just affected the US?

Think again…

The failure of this bailout plan is affecting the world markets as well, according to the BBC.

The markets affected are:

  • The UK’s FTSE 100 index was up 0.18% or 8.5 points to 4,827 by 12:00 BST, while Germany’s Dax was 0.9% lower at 5,756 and France’s Cac was down 0.2% to 3,949
  • Banking shares were the biggest fallers in London, as concerns grow about how the delay in securing a US rescue deal will hit the financial system
  • HBOS was down 12%, Royal Bank of Scotland was 6% lower
  • Japan’s Nikkei index ended Tuesday down 4.1%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.8%
  • In Russia, trading was temporarily suspended on the country’s two main stock markets
  • In the Republic of Ireland, the government announced that all bank deposits would be guaranteed for the next two years
  • European bank Dexia has received a state bail-out, costing the Belgian, French and Luxembourg governments a combined 6.4bn euros ($9.2bn; £5bn)

So, this isn’t just an American crisis, this could very well turn into a world crisis, and from the looks of it, the crisis has already started.

More thoughts on the Bailout and it’s effect on our Economy

I hate to admit it, but I agree with this…. Sort of…

Via RealClearMarkets – “In Times of Crisis, Trust Capitalism”:

The biggest bank failure in the history of the United States happened last Thursday night and by Friday morning, it was business as usual. The only difference was the name on the door and the losses suffered by those unfortunate enough to invest in Washington Mutual bonds or stock. The taxpayers didn’t lose anything and depositors didn’t lose anything, only investors. That is how capitalism works in case everyone has forgotten.

The “crisis” we face today is not a creation of the market. Government intervention over many years (but especially the last year) is what brought us to the point where we’ve placed our hopes for economic recovery on the good intentions of a Congress facing re-election in a few weeks. There has been much commentary recently about the role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the creation and expansion of the sub-prime mortgage market which many believe to be the cause of this mess.

That criticism is certainly warranted, but little attention has been paid to the real culprit – the Federal Reserve. Furthermore, what attention there has been is concentrated on the role of Alan Greenspan rather than Ben Bernanke. While Alan Greenspan deserves his share of the blame, Bernanke’s contribution to this mess should not be minimized or excused.

I have something to add to this as well. The biggest problem with this all is, most of this money, that’s being lost, is not even our money, it’s China’s money! Also half of the money being printed, does not have any gold to back it up! This is why our inflation is so high. As Joseph notes above, our biggest problem with our nation’s Economy is the Federal Reserve. If we got rid of the Federal Reserve, and went back to the 100% Gold Standard, much of our Nation’s Economic problems would be solved. Not to mention, if we stopped getting money from China.

The only thing that I really disagree with here, in a way, is the assessment that this all will not affect the American Taxpayers. In a sense, it will affect the taxpayers. Because it will cause a overall stall in the economy. This will translate into a crunch in the business world, small and mid-size businesses that do not have a great deal of capital will not be able to barrow money for needed expenses. This will cause a overall tightening of the financial belt amongst the Small to mid-sized business and will force them to dump employees.

Locally here in Michigan, our unemployment is at 7%, last I checked, I expect that to soar and get even worse, if this continues. Personally, I have family members who are paranoid about their jobs being lost. I assume that those jobs will get even more unstable, if this wears on.

Not to mention the fact that Taxpayers are watching their 401K’s and retirement nest eggs go down the tubes as well. That affects Conservatives who do not believe in using Social Security as a form of income. So, in a matter of speaking, this is going to effect everyone. In the form of Jobs, Retirements, 401k’s and more much.

A reason why this bail out failed…

I can understand this…

Via Andy McCarthy @ The Corner on National Review Online

This was a terrible bill. To take just a few particulars, why is there no reform of the government interventions that got us to this point in the first place? Why aren’t Fannie and Freddie being wound down — even after we’ve now had to make explicit the implicit, disastrous government guarantee? Why is Pelosi saying (as I noted in an earlier post) that the authority in the bill will allow the Treasury Department (perhaps soon an Obama Treasury Department) to take bad debt off the hands of mismanaged state and local governments?

Some would say that a bad bill would be better than no bill at all. I disagree. I believe that it is better to have a bill that works for the American people and does not bailout Wall Street and screw the American people and the small businesses over.

So, for once, I agree with something written over at the NRO. Mark this on your calendar, because it does not happen often. 😉

Stay Classy G.O.P.

Via USATODAY.com:

The spokeswoman for the Republican Party in Nevada’s most populous county was removed from her post Saturday, after she said the Democratic Party made black people "dependent on the government."

Didi Lima, the Clark County GOP communications director, also was removed from her volunteer role as a Hispanic community liaison for Republican John McCain’s presidential campaign over the remarks made earlier in the day while working at a McCain campaign booth.

"We don’t want (Hispanics) to become the new African-American community," Lima told The Associated Press. "And that’s what the Democratic Party is going to do to them, create more programs and give them handouts, food stamps and checks for this and checks for that. We don’t want that."

"I’m very much afraid that the Democratic Party is going to do the same thing that they did with the African-American culture and make them all dependent on the government and we don’t want that," she said.

In August, Lima was named co-chair of McCain’s Nevada Hispanic Leadership Team, which aimed to reach out to a crucial voting bloc in a state where polls show McCain in a dead heat with Barack Obama.

Hmmmmm… She trying to imitate another famous Conservative?

Like I said, Stay classy Republicans…. 🙄 Eye-rollingRolling Eyes

Amazing: WorldNetDaily proves Barack Obama right!

Amazing

Of course, other Blogs like Hotair and Macsmind will say, "Oh, WND cannot be trusted."

Kudo’s to Farah for getting this story.

What I am referring to is, that Barack Obama is constantly said, and even said during the debate that Al-Qaeda is back to pre-9/11 status and strength. Which McCain and other Neo-Cons Deny.

The Wall Street Bailout drama continues….

Just a word of warning, I’m still nursing my first cup of coffee. Coffee-cupSleepyYawn So, hopefully, this article will make some sense. Hee hee

But the good news is, I got my emoticons back here. Dancing So, I can at least show a little emotion in my writings. Big Grin

Some people say that if you use the Emoticons, people tend to not take you as serious. Well, to that I say, well, Phbbbttt Because I feel you would not take me serious either way, if had the emoticons or not.

The “Mother of all bailouts” is creating it’s share of drama in the Blogosphere and on Capital Hill. For instance, Minority Leader John A. Boehner called the deal a “crap sandwich”. Sick and Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., ranking Republican on the House Budget Committee said of the Bill, “It sucks”. Michelle Malkin is just flat out encouraging her people to “Kill the Bill”. However, Jack Fowler at the Corner is saying:

Conservatives should support them in backing the bailout plan. And then, when that is completed, roll up our sleeves and join Cantor & Co. as they work to craft and enact a broader strategy to improve America’s fiscal health.

So, obviously, this thing is dividing Conservatives.

Another interesting tidbit of information, according to “The Hill”, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio). says:  “I will tell you right now I don’t know if they have votes,”  “If the votes were there, this would be on the floor. The votes aren’t there.” An interesting development indeed.

Obviously, there’s a ton of opinions and angles on this story. Most of which can be found at Memeorandum.

Now here’s a smart idea….

Now the Democrats are using their brains.

U.S. Democrats seek Wall Street tax in bailout plan (Via Reuters):

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives are pushing for a new Wall Street tax that would cover the potential costs of a $700 billion bailout being negotiated by Congress and the Bush administration.

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, speaking to reporters after a meeting with fellow Democrats, said the fee could be assessed after five years if the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office determined taxpayers had lost money in the bailout.

“If after five years … the CBO decides that the American taxpayer has lost money in this, then there would be a fee on financial institutions,” Pelosi said, adding that she hoped the provision could be part of a final bailout deal.

Pelosi said that the Secretary of the Treasury could determine how to assess the fee.

It is a about damn time the Democrats wised up. This would ensure that the taxpayer, (i.e. you and me) would not get stuck paying the bill on this “bail out”.

I know some traders will scream about this. But, you know what I say? screw ‘em! I say, let the assholes making the big money get the tax, instead of the working class, like me, who do not even play the markets.

I am all for free markets, but I’m also for responsibility. If greed caused all this, let the damn greedy ones pay for it in taxes, instead of the average American, like me!

Paul Newman has Died

PaulNewman

There are many things that I could write about this man. Most of it has already been written by writers who get paid a hell of a lot more money than me. Paul Newman; The name itself evokes images of a rebel. It also conjures up other images; Quality, integrity, Living what you believe, having the guts to stand up for what you believe in and just being a man.

Paul Newman was the real deal, he lived what he believed. He established a camp for children who are on their last dime in life. He knew the pain, he lost one of his own kids to a drug overdose in 1978. This was Newman’s way of making making someone else’s life a little brighter in a time of terrible suffering. Newman answered the call to War in the 1940’s. In short, he was, in fact, a part of the greatest generation ever. I do not believe that it would be an embellishment of truth to say that Newman was, in fact, an FDR Democrat.

I do not claim to be a movie fanatic or someone who watches lots of movies. But the name Paul Newman has always been a part of the actors of whom I highly respect. Unlike some of the people that reside in this thing we call the Blogosphere, I do not go around wearing my damn politics on my sleeve and I do have more respect than some as well. Yes, Paul Newman was, in fact, a Democrat. He was of the old school Democratic Party, before it became enjoined at the hip to Communist Socialism. From that old school came another great actor, who would go on to be one of our greatest Presidents, Ronald Reagan.

Put your gun down Butch and rest a while. God knows, you’ve earned it.

May he rest in peace and my God be with his family.

Horseshit-gate!?!?! Does it get any more silly?

Heh, Sullivan thought McCain said, “Horseshit”, instead of “Of Course you can”.

Wow. I thought I was shallow. 😛

Anyhow, here’s a song that I feel fits the occasion:

“Smells like horseshit, down on the farm!”

Too Funny!

Snort Worthy Quote of the Day

Via Instapundit.com –

YEAH, I DON’T THINK THAT this Sarah Palin swimsuit video is going to do the campaign any harm.

Now, a Joe Biden swimsuit video . . . well, best not even think of it.

*Snort*

Heh: One of the reasons why I love Jack Cafferty

Via Talking Points Memo:

I’ve always said it. You cannot sell Jack Cafferty a line of B.S., at all. Between this interview and McCain’s performance last night, If I were the Republicans, I would not aim too high on this election. Because you might just be setting yourselves up for a let down. A hard letdown in November.

My Thoughts on the 1st Debate

Obama was well prepared. Articulated his points very well. McCain was snobbish and a bit of an asshole.

However, McCain did well as well. There were no gaffes that I really thought were worth mentioning.

Because I am not in the tank for either, I say it was a draw.

I’ve been up past my bedtime and now am going to bed.

Speaking of OY! John McCain’s chief of staff is GAY!!!!

If this hits the Main Stream media, it very well could ruin John McCain’s Presidential Campaign.

It appears that John McCain’s Chief of staff is a Homosexual

Quote:

What does John McCain’s loyal chief of staff – a man who apparently is in a long-term relationship with another man, and appears to be open about it to John McCain — think about the fact that Sarah Palin devoutly worships at a church that promotes “converting” gays to heterosexuality? What, conversely, does she think of him? More importantly, what does John McCain think about all of this? And don’t we deserve some answers from the American media?

Over the past month I’ve been contacted by three different individuals (two of them members of the Log Cabin Republicans) claiming that McCain’s Senate chief of staff, Mark Buse, is gay. None of these individuals would be quoted by name, though each described Buse as being rather “open” to those around him and to his family – in a “glass closet” rather than deeply undercover or trying to appear heterosexual.

Then I was contacted in recent weeks by 46-year-old Brian Davis, an Arizona resident, who told me about his intimate relationship with Mark Buse (confirmed by Davis’ mother, as well as by a long-time friend), and who decided he needed to tell the truth about Buse, on the record, in light of John McCain’s dramatic shift to the ideological religious right in this election and his choice of Sarah Palin, starlet of the evangelical movement, as a running mate. (Repeated calls to Mark Buse’s office and calls and email to McCain’s communications office in the Senate regarding this story were unreturned. Mike Rogers, the blogger and activist who revealed the truth about Senator Larry Craig and others in politics, today reports this same reality about Mark Buse that I report here, with separate, independent sourcing.)

[…]

The traditional media may be petrified to pick up this story but people across the country who see McCain’s hypocrisy and who support equality will only demand more answers. Certainly our media could serve us better by getting us those answers rather than once again putting their heads in the sand.

Unbelievable. I’ve always said that the Republican Party is becoming more and more like the Democratic Party everyday. The line of separation is become smaller and more blurred by the minute.

Can someone please tell me, just what the hell happened to the Party of Morals? I always thought that the G.O.P. was the Party of Christian morals? I always thought that the Republican Party was the Anti-Liberal Party? I thought it was the one who differed themselves from the Party of God-forsaken homosexuals? It seems that I was quite wrong about that.

Between this and the Republicans selling the Fiscal Conservatives, like me, up the damn river. I’m almost inclined to believe that the Republican has officially gone to hell.

Needless to say, The Republican Party is NOT the Party of Ronald Reagan. I mean, A gay staffer, A female V.P. pick? What the hell is going on in that Party??!?!?! Whatever happened to women staying home and raising their children and being a good Conservative Christian Woman?  Whatever happened to Conservatives shunning the sin-depraved Homosexuals?

It simply boggles the mind….
